OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Lauren Steadman teaches “beginners” how to salsa.
The Paralympic silver medallist will be competing in the upcoming series of the BBC’s ballroom contest, and it seems she could hae an advantage over some of her fellow stars.
A spokesman told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She has salsa danced socially for several years and on occasion, due to shortages of teachers, she has helped beginners.
“She’s not formally trained or qualified. She does it because she loves it!”
Lauren – who competed as a swimmer at both the 2008 and 2012 Paralympics – previously revealed how she was advised to get into dancing to make up for the fact sport was no longer a hobby for her.
Speaking in May last year, she explained: “I like to dance salsa – I’ve been doing it for about four years and I teach now as well.
“I got into it because my psychologist said that sport is no longer your hobby, it’s your career, so you need something outside of that to enjoy.
“I gave it a try and the rest is history.”
The 25-year-old star – who was born missing her lower right arm – will appear on the ballroom floor alongside the likes of Susannah Constantine, Katie Piper and Lee Ryan.
Susannah recently admitted she was looking to give her own chances a boost, and almost hired a professional dance tutor to help her get ahead of her fellow contestants
She confessed: “I thought about hiring professional help – a big ‘Strictly’ No-No.
“My husband even found me a local professional dance tutor, the son of his bike mechanic, but I didn’t want to get done for cheating. In hindsight, I regret it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Ramsey’s wife didn’t leave the house for a “week-and-a-half” after suffering a miscarriage – and she believes the effects of the devastating loss are only just hitting him now.
The 32-year-old comedian and his wife Rosie revealed earlier this month that she had suffered an anembryonic pregnancy (a missed miscarriage), and while she has “kind of got over it”, he goes “quiet and miserable for no reason” at times now following the heart-breaking news.
Speaking about trying to pass pregnancy tissue from the womb, she said: “It went to surgery. After 20 hours of trying to do it with tablets, it then went to surgery. You don’t expect it at all. It’s just a crazy situation.
“You [Chris] went into survival mode. I stayed in the house for a week-and-a-half, cried, ate loads of chocolate and kind of got over it. But you just had to keep going and now I feel like it’s hit you.”
Chris added: “Sometimes now I’ll go quiet and miserable for no reason, and she’s like, ‘Are you alright?’ and I’m like, ‘I think so’. It’s just the emotions.
“I cried at ‘Avengers Age of Ultron’. It’s ridiculous, but it’s going to take a while.”
The ‘Hebburn’ star admitted the “cruellest part” of finding out was that Rosie still had a baby bump because her body thought she was pregnant, but the couple are “so glad” they spoke publicly about losing their unborn baby.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “The cruellest part of the whole thing was Rosie’s body still thought she was pregnant. There was a bump and everything and we were just going to see it.
“We talked for a while about whether to go public or not, and we’re so glad that we did.
“It such a strange thing to say, ‘Don’t tell anyone you’re pregnant until 12 weeks because if anything happens you can brush it under the carpet.’
“‘No.’ Because it all went wrong we can’t brush it under the carpet.
“Example text me saying, ‘Look, mate, it happened to me.’ I had no idea.
“Some close friends have said, ‘Happened to us twice.’ It helps so much [to talk about it].”
Revealing the news earlier this month, Rosie wrote on Instagram: “Good morning.
Apologies for our silence across our social media’s this week, it’s safe to say we’ve had a pretty sh*tty one.
Last week we thought we would be sharing some lovely news with you all but sadly that was not to be.
When we went for our 12 week scan our baby could not be found. He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum. (missed miscarriage) My body still thought I was pregnant for all those weeks after the baby had passed, hormones were released and everything apart from the baby was still growing.
I’d never heard of this before so as you can imagine it all came as a great shock. .
Unfortunately it didn’t all end there as we were told I still needed to have a miscarriage to rid my body of the sac, placenta etc.
I was admitted into hospital a few days later to start the procedure. .
It was awful. Cramping, vomiting, fainting, fever, really just not nice.
After 5 rounds of tablets over a course of 20 or so hours the doctors told me it hadn’t worked as effectively as they’d hoped.
I was then taken to surgery to have everything removed.
It is now finally all over… (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eden Taylor-Draper has hinted Jane Cox will return to ‘Emmerdale’ soon.
The 20-year-old actress says her character Belle Dingle’s mother Lisa Dingle has “got to come back” to the Dales because her alter-ego is in potential danger after fearing her crazed boyfriend Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson) could have killed her brother Sam Dingle (James Hooton).
She said: “Lisa’s only in Scotland and she watches the news. So hopefully, she’ll return.
“If that was my mum, she’d have to come back.
“Even if she was in Australia. It’s mother’s instinct. She’s got to come back.”
Eden admitted it was “very intense” filming upcoming scenes in which Belle fears the worst has happened to Sam when she discovers “blood everywhere”, and Lachlan hints he may have bumped off her brother.
She added: “This is the first time he mentally comes to terms with it and says, ‘Yes, I’ve actually done all of this.’
“Belle is screaming at Lachlan, asking why there’s blood everywhere. Lachlan, very calmly, just says that Sam was getting in the way. She can’t comprehend it and she fears her brother is dead. That was very intense.
“As the week progresses, Belle’s head is just a mess. She adores Lachlan, but she gets this shocking information and it takes some time to process it.”
Lisa departed the Dales in April after she suffered an angina attack, but Jane has since admitted she has not left the soap forever.
However, she remained coy about whether her character and husband Zak (Steve Halliwell) – who clashed when he blamed her for Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) being sent to Youth Offenders for four months after the teen spiked her drink with ketamine – will ever get back together.
She teased: “That remains to be seen.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick Murray is battling lung disease.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ actor – who played Mickey Pearce in the legendary sitcom – has been receiving treatment for lung condition obstructive pulmonary disease, which has forced him to pull out of a bus trip which would’ve paid tribute to the show’s classic ‘Jolly Boys’ Outing’ episode.
Patrick’s agent Mark Neale told the Daily Star newspaper: “Pat was really disappointed to let so many people down, but he is having treatment and hopes to arrange it again later in the year.”
The 61-year-old star is hoping to be well enough to take part in the trip – which will see him travel on an open-top double decker bus with 70 fans from Leysdown-on-Sea in Kent to Margate – in October to raise money for the children’s hospice Demelza.
Patrick said: “Demelza is a local charity and one which everyone involved in this re-creation felt is a great cause.”
The ‘Only Fools’ special episode aired on Christmas Day in 1989, and more than 20 million people watched on as the bus exploded before Mickey, Del Boy Trotter (Sir David Jason), Rodney Trotter (Nicholas Lyndhurst) and their Peckham pals reached Margate.
In April, Patrick was reunited with co-star John Challis – who played Boycie in the show – during an episode of ‘Loose Women’, but they admitted an ‘Only Fools and Horses’ return looks unlikely following the death of creator John Sullivan.
Challis said: “With John no longer with us, it’s a bit difficult for someone else to write it to that standard. It’s his baby.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black says meeting his “hero” Dustin Hoffman was scary.
The 49-year-old actor co-starred with the 81-year-old Hollywood legend in the ‘Kung Fu Panda’ trilogy and has confessed he was so “intimidated” by the ‘Meet the Fockers’ star’s presence, he wanted to do separate scenes to prevent coming face-to-face with him.
Speaking to Total Film, Jack said: “We did spend some time together. There was a trick with one of our scenes that just wasn’t working so they needed to get us to [record it] together. I was very intimidated for that scene, because he’s been a hero of mine for so long. I didn’t even want to do it. I didn’t want to meet him, I didn’t want to do the scene with him, didn’t want to do a scene with him!
“I preferred doing in separate because there’s a terror involved in meeting you heroes. But once we did, it was very informative and very helpful. He just came over and whispered to me: ‘You should whisper that line!’
“I said, ‘OK, I’ll try that’, and he was right. He’s got incredible instincts.”
The ‘Goosebumps’ star says although Hoffman has a huge amount of experience in the film industry behind him, his passion for different projects is what makes him unique.
The ‘School of Rock’ star added: “It’s not how long you do it, as much as how much you love to do it. He really loves to do it. He relishes it. And that’s what makes him great.”
Jack added that he can see himself performing at Dustin’s age because of his “love” of films and putting on a “show”.
Jack said: “I have a passion for entertaining. I love to put on a show. As long as I love putting on a show, I think I could continue doing it.”

The 37-year-old royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry, 33, in May at St George’s Chapel in Windsor – stepped out in a tuxedo mini-dress on Wednesday night (29.08.18) at London’s West End for a special gala performance of the hit musical ‘Hamilton’ at Victoria Palace theatre.
The former ‘Suits’ star wore an above-the-knee black double breasted blazer dress – which retails at $595 – by Canadian designer Judith & Charles, and partnered them with her favourite designer go-to, Paul Andrew two-tone court shoes.
The newlywed partnered her sophisticated look with a low swept bun, black glitter box clutch and a sultry smoky-eye to enhance her glowing complexion.
Meghan, who has watched the show on both sides of the Atlantic, asked the award-winning Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda: “Have you seen it yet in London? Because I found it so amazing to watch how that plays versus here [UK] and the response is so different but everyone loves it.”
The stunning mini-dress is the second item by a Canadian designer that Meghan has modelled recently, after she sparked a shopping frenzy on her birthday earlier this month when she wore a navy colour block dress from Canadian brand Club Monaco.
The Duchess wore the dress when she accompanied her husband to the nuptials of his childhood friend, Charlie Van Straubenzee, at St Mary the Virgin Church in Surrey.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaden Smith dons his Batman costume when he feels the need to “protect” people.
The 20-year-old actor and musician – who is the son of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – famously decided to wear the Caped Crusader costume to his prom, as well to the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and now the ‘After Earth’ star has revealed that he chose the hero as his style inspiration because the costume provides the “proper gear” needed to keep people safe.
In an interview with GQ magazine, he said: “I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so.
“He’s just the s**t, everything about it. It’s a cape, has utilities, has tactical equipment on it. It’s bulletproof.
“It’s everything you ever want. You can hide in the shadows, jump off buildings.
“I just want to live in the most real way, just be a superhero, and save lives, and jump off of buildings, and hide in the shadows.”
Jaden might be the son of two A-List actors, but the ‘Karate Kid’ star has long established himself as a fashionista, and has revealed that his fashion icons also include Tyler, The Creator, and Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.
The ‘Pursuit of Happyness’ actor was inspired by the ‘Yonkers’ rapper after he introduced him to the American skateboarding shop and clothing brand, Supreme, a label now synonymous with the trailblazer’s style.
Jaden has also taken inspiration from Greek deity Poseidon, as he dresses “really good”, and the star uses sculptures of the god to influence his look.
He said: “A lot of drapes, you know what I’m saying? … Those are really next.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams feels “so lucky” she was able to train throughout her pregnancy.
The 32-year-old DJ is due to welcome her first child – a baby boy – into the world with her husband Spencer Matthews “any day now” and has admitted she’s so pleased she was able to continue working out right up until the end, despite suffering with sickness in the first trimester, because she feels “super strong” now.
Taking to Instagram, the blonde beauty uploaded a short video of her doing body barre alongside the caption: “Living my best @paolasbodybarre life! Due date is any day now… I’m so lucky I’ve been able to train through my pregnancy. I know a lot of you suffer from really bad sickness so it’s ok not to train too. I think it’s important to listen to your body and I find training has really helped me. I feel super strong and BEYOND excited for our little boy to arrive…countdown is on! (sic)”
Despite the bundles of energy she appears to have while working out, Vogue has admitted she has to take a nap “every day” because the tiredness is too much.
She explained recently: “I’m totally ready for it. Physically I’m feeling really good.
“I’ve been so lucky with my pregnancy. I had quite bad morning sickness and heartburn but, for the most part, I’ve been okay. I’m still able to work, but I have to nap every day. I’m so excited, I just want the birth to happen.”
And Vogue can’t wait to see what kind of father Spencer – who she met while they were both competing on ‘The Jump’ in 2017 – will be like because he loves kids.

The 50-year-old actress may have been raised a Christian but she believes she follows more Buddhist principles since she paid a visit to a treat in Thailand eight years ago because she feels so grateful for everything that happens in life.
Speaking to Spirit & Destiny magazine, she said: “As a person I follow more of a Buddhist way of life …
“Christianity is still in my life but I’m also into meditation, positivity, gratitude.
“I say thank you probably 200 times before I brush my teeth in the morning! Even if something doesn’t go quite the way I want it to, I still say thank you.”
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star is also reliant on crystals when she meditates.
She explained: “I love rose quartz. I love how it looks and its smell. I’ve got several. Sometimes I’ll meditate and have it on my chest.”
The blonde star – who has sons James, 24, with Jim Kerr, and Lennon, 18, with her ex-husband Liam Gallagher – is adamant she has no regrets in life but wishes she hadn’t taken so many things to heart when she was in her forties.
She explained: “In my forties I cared way too much about what people thought about me and what was going on in my life.

The 49-year-old actress may have a highly successful film career under her belt, but she has admitted she initially wanted to travel around and experience life a bit more but her skills on stage meant she had no choice but to explore it further.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she said: “The only thing I wanted to do when I left high school was travel with my work. I didn’t at all think about notoriety or fame. I thought maybe I’d move into the visual arts, but from a curatorial perspective, or architecture, even though my maths was absolutely woeful.”
The ‘Blue Jasmine’ star has been doing acting since she left high school and thinks she probably only has a “few more years left” in front of the camera before she loses her “sanity” and attempts to make it as a director.
She explained: “I don’t know what I am going to do next as an actor. I never do really. But I feel like I’ve got probably a couple more years left in it, before I lose my sanity. If the offers are still there [to go into directing]. And if they’re not, then maybe I can throw some pots?”
Cate has really started to enjoy gardening since she moved back to the UK with husband Andrew Upton and their four children Dashiell, 16, Roman,14, Ignatius, 10, and three-year-old daughter Edith, from Sydney, Australia.
She explained: “I suppose that’s what I like about coming back here. There are so many books I haven’t read, so many films I haven’t watched, so many conversations I haven’t had, so many plants I haven’t planted… It’s important to sort of sit and think what could be next.”

The ‘Together Again’ hitmaker believes her issues with the mood disorder stemmed from her feeling “inferior” as a child, while also coming up against racism and sexism.
She said: “I struggled with depression. The struggle was intense. Low self-esteem might be rooted in childhood feelings of inferiority. It could relate to failing to meet impossibly high standards. And of course there are always the societal issues of racism and sexism. Put it all together and depression is a tenacious and scary condition. Thankfully, I found my way through it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny John-Jules’ ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ training was halted due to a hostage situation.
The ‘Red Dwarf’ actor was heading to the gym when a man is said to have locked himself into Willesden Sports Centre, north London, “exposed” himself and threatened members of the public.
Sharing footage as several police cars surrounded the sports centre, Danny said: “So I just turned up to go to the gym and this is what I was greeted with. You know what I mean. What’s going on?
“So apparently there’s a geezer or someone holed up in the gym and there’s a hostage negotiator being called for. So welcome to North West London.”
He tweeted alonside the clip that it had “thwarted” his plans to train for the upcoming BBC ballroom competition.
The 57-year-old star wrote: “Incident NW London has thwarted my Dance preparation #Strictly #KensalRise #Harlesen #Willesden. (sic)”
A police spokesman told The Sun newspaper: “Police were called at 7.53am on Wednesday, August 29 to Willesden Sports Centre, following reports of a man exposing himself.
“The suspect, a 34-year-old man then jumped into the pool and threatened to harm officers and members of the public.
“All members of the public evacuated the pool and no one has suffered any injuries. Officers are concerned for the man’s welfare and remain at the scene. The centre remains closed.”
Danny’s ‘Strictly’ appearance comes after he accused the judges of making controversial decisions in an old tweet unearthed by the publication.
In 2016, he wrote: “They always get rid of the black guy first.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley has been left “speechless” by a “mum-shaming” Twitter user, who slammed her for posing for photoshoots.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who recently departed the ITV soap, partly to spend more time with her three-year-old son Alfie – hit back after the social media troll slammed her for “seeking self gratification” while her child was “at home without their mother”.
They wrote: “Why do you feel the need to post pics and selfies of yourself online? You are a Mother and a responsible adult. How do you have time to have photo shoots etc? Don’t you feel guilty seeking self gratification while your child is at home without their Mother? (sic)”
A shocked Catherine replied: “Wow… I mean I’m speechless. Is it 1950?? Mum shaming??? Really??? I have no need to justify or explain my actions to you or anyone. So much for parents empowering and supporting each other. May your heart find joy and gratitude . Blessings x (sic)”
In April, the star admitted part of her reasoning for quitting ‘Corrie’ – on which she played Eva Price – was so she could travel more with her son Alfie and husband Tom Pitfield.
She said: “The timing seemed right. My son Alfie doesn’t start at school for another two years so as a family we wanted the chance to travel.
“I have relatives in Australia, but we didn’t want to go for just a couple of weeks, we’d like to go over there and spend six weeks or more over there and then visit as many countries as possible.
“Tom and I had always talked about travelling and we are keen for Alfie to visit different cultures.
“In between there will hopefully be some exciting projects for me as well.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Moore has called for people to start respecting disabled spaces on public transport more.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who, like his character Ryan Stocks, has cerebral palsy – believes some should show more “courtesy and understanding” when on transport, after a Twitter user shared a picture of a disabled space on a train taken up by suitcases.
He wrote: “please help accommodate disabled people on public transport. I’m fairly mobile but for others it can be much more difficult. Wheelchair spaces are for wheelchairs! All it takes is a bit of courtesy and understanding! (sic)”
James thanked the tweeter for “speaking up” about the issue, after she said she was a huge fan of his ‘Emmerdale’ character Ryan.
He wrote: “Thank you so much! And thank you for speaking up! (sic)”
James’ comments come just weeks after he said he doesn’t believe the world is “ready” for disability to be “normalised” on screen.
In response to a fan who insisted he should be referred to purely as “an actor” rather than “an actor with cerebral palsy”, he tweeted: “To be honest I don’t mind it. It kinda categorises me but it’s a slow push to normalise disability on screen because really, the world still isn’t ready for it, but we’re getting there. (sic)”
Last month, James hit back at trolls by suggesting they use subtitles if they cannot understand him on ‘Emmerdale’.
He wrote: “To everyone who says they can’t understand me in Emmerdale, I have compiled this easy to use guide for your viewing pleasure. Simply set the option to ‘English ‘ and enjoy. (sic)”

The brand was created by the 38-year-old tennis star for fashion-forward athletic women in 2007, and now it has been revealed the line will collaborate with Dia&Co Active to include sizes made for bigger women.
Dia&Co Active is home of the largest plus sized fitness apparel range in the world, and the range for ‘EleVen’ will include sizes OX-3X, with prices starting at $55 and going up to $89.
Venus said in a video for Dia&Co: “I’m super passionate about fitness and wellness and active lifestyle and I’m super focused on making fitness inclusive for all, so get ready, in September for plus sizes to launch.”
Writing on their blog, the brand added: “All of us here are on a mission to #movefashionforward–and a big part of that mission is encouraging designers to create options for the 67% of American women that wear sizes 14+.

Meanwhile, Venus’ sister and fellow tennis star Serena has also made waves in the fashion industry recently, after she appeared at the US Open tournament wearing items from her new Queen collection with Virgil Abloh for Nike.
Serena wore an asymmetrical off the shoulder dress with a full tulle skirt which carried the designer’s Nike logo in quotation marks on the shoulder and Serena’s name on the sleeve.
It was paired with a collared jacket with monochrome contrast stitching and trainers which said “Queen”.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner already has her own fashion line and Virgil knew that as one of the most “powerful, inspiring athletes” she was the right woman to embody the brand.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker only welcomed her daughter Kulture, whom she has with her husband Offset, into the world seven weeks ago and, although she wants to focus on motherhood for the time being, she has told promoters that she will consider leaving her little girl for one night only in exchange for a big pay out.
A source told TMZ that the 25-year-old rapper wants $300,000 to get back on stage and everything has to be on her terms, but it looks like show organisers are willing to do anything to snap her up as they’ve been offering $500,000.
However, it’s not just the price that needs to be right as the brunette beauty has also said any gigs need to be close to her home so she can go back to her baby.
Cardi announced that she had pulled out of Bruno Mars’ tour ’24K Magic’, which kicks off in September, because her body didn’t feel ready to do the choreography every night so soon after giving birth.
She also felt uncomfortable leaving her newborn daughter for that long after doctors told her that there’s no way the tiny tot can join her on the tour bus or fly.
She said at the time: “I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
However, despite her decision not to go on tour, Cardi has wasted no time throwing herself back into work as she’s determined to make money for her baby.
One fan said recently: “Nothing puts in perspective how much women give up being pregnant and having a baby more then the fact that Cardi B had to cancel a world tour with the biggest pop artist in the world right now and Offset is still on tour like nothing happened (sic)”
To which Cardi replied: “Just cause I’m not on your doesnt mean I’m working ;)I’m working harder then ever and you will see soon ! (sic)”
