OHMYGOSSIP — April Love Geary has admitted she was “rude and bratty” on the day she met Robin Thicke.
The 23-year-old model – who is expecting the couple’s second child and already has six-month-old daughter Mia Love with the singer – has marked the couple’s fourth year together by confessing she was difficult on their first date and that she can’t believe the ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker “eventually fell in love with her”.
Alongside a picture of the pair on the beach with their daughter, she wrote on Instagram: “FOUR years ago I met this guy at a party in Malibu and I was SO RUDE & BRATTY but he still saw something in me and somehow eventually fell in love with me. And now we’re on baby number two omg I love you so much (sic)”
The couple recently held a gender reveal dinner for their second child, who is also a girl, at celebrity hotspot Catch in Los Angeles.
April took to her Instagram Story to share several clips of the party, including one of them cutting a chocolate cake open and pink liquid pouring out of it, signalling they are expecting a second daughter.
The brunette beauty also added a picture of her kissing the singer, and captioned it: “Going to have another daddy’s girl!!! I love you baby! thank you @markbirnbaum for doing the best sex reveal ever!!!!! At my favorite restaurant @catch (sic)”
The pair revealed they were to become parents again in August, by sharing a video of young Mia holding a sonogram, with the caption: “Well someone is going to be a big sister next year! We’re so excited to share with y’all that I’m expecting again! (sic)”
Robin and April’s baby joy came after April revealed she tragically suffered a miscarriage before falling pregnant with Mia.
When asked during an Instagram Story Q&A if she was “scared” by the possibility of miscarrying, she said: “I had one before Mia. But I’m not scared, worrying or stressing out too much isn’t good for the baby. Life happens and we can’t control everything.”
The couple’s little girl is due on March 10, 2019, which will be Robin’s 42nd birthday.

OHMYGOSSIP — Vince Vaughn played a part in encouraging Mel Gibson to sign up for ‘Dragged Across Concrete’.
The 48-year-old actor stars alongside the Hollywood legend – who directed him in 2016 war film ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ – in the new thriller movie, and he spoke to the ‘Patriot’ actor beforehand about taking part in S. Craig Zahler’s motion picture, so was delighted when he signed up to the project.
He said: “I had worked with Mel on ‘Hacksaw’ and had overlapped doing ‘Brawl [in Cell Block 99’] with Zahler. He came and talked about this other movie, and Mel was the name that he recommended for the character of Ridgeman.
“They sent it to Mel, and I mentioned it to him. Thankfully Mel really responded to it. He’s such a terrific filmmaker, and I think Zahler is such a terrific filmmaker.”
Vaughn admitted shooting the movie was “a little easier” than usual because he had worked with Gibson and Zahler beforehand, and praised the director’s “vision” on set.
Speaking at the Venice Film Festival, he added: “He [Zahler] really sets out with a vision and a story and he doesn’t really compromise on that, in just the most inclusive way.
“He just knows what he wants to do. It was just really nice to share the set with those guys, and having a history with those guys makes the job a little easier.”
‘Dragged Across Concrete’ – which premiered at the film festival on Monday (03.09.18) – sees police officer partners Brett Ridgeman (Gibson) and Anthony Lurasetti (Vaughn) turn to a life of crime, when they are suspended after a video of the pair using excessive force during an arrest airs on the news.

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa McCarthy feels the cat she worked with on ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ is deserving of a Cat Oscar.
The 48-year-old comedienne – who portrays celebrity biographer Lee Israel in the forthcoming comedy drama – was so impressed with her fluffy four-legged co-star, Towne, who actually is a male in real life but plays a feline named Jersey in the movie, the she believes he could win awards.
According to Deadline, she said: “I heard there are actually Academy Awards for pets. I can’t remember what they are called but I call them the Cat Oscars and this cat should win.
“[W]e had to cast for cat actors, so the trainer said ‘well this is our best-performing cat’. So how good can this cat be? He’s a he by the way. His character Jersey is a girl. He does that very well too.”
The ‘Life of the Party’ actress – who won an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role of Megan in ‘Bridesmaids’ in 2012 – even went as far as to say Towne was “out-acting” her during takes.
She said: “The first time I take him, or her, whatever, to the vet, while we are at the counter he sneezed. And I look at him and literally thought ‘Are you kidding me? Are you pretending to be sick?’ Then Marielle (Heller, director) cuts and I looked to the camera and said to myself, ‘This cat is out-acting me’.”
‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ hit screens next month in the US, with a UK release date yet to be announced.
McCarthy is currently filming action comedy ‘Superintelligence’, and she stars in ‘The Kitchen’ alongside Domhnall Gleeson, Elizabeth Moss and Tiffany Haddish, both of which are due out next year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl joked about making out with Bono after postponing Foo Fighters’ shows due to losing his voice.
The ‘Run’ hitmakers have been forced to reschedule their Canadian shows in Edmonton this evening (04.09.18) and Calgary on Thursday (06.09.18), as the 49-year-old rocker has had vocal trouble like the U2 frontman – who had to end the Irish band’s show in Berlin, Germany, over the weekend after his voice failed whilst attempting to hit the notes on ‘Beautiful Day’.
Quipping on Twitter in a statement to fans announcing the reschedule shows, Dave wrote on the band’s Twitter: “FF RESCHEDULE 2 CANADA DATES DUE TO ILLNESS

In June, during the European leg of the US rockers’ ‘Concrete and Gold’ tour, Dave had to reassure fans that his voice wasn’t permanently damaged after reports surfaced suggesting his growling wasn’t the same at their shows at the time.
The ‘Learn to Fly’ hitmaker explained that kissing his four-year-old daughter Ophelia goodnight was to blame for his husky voice as she had a cold.
The former Nirvana drummer – who also has nine-year-old daughter Harper and 12-year-old Violet with his wife Jordyn Blum – said: “The week before the tour my four-year-old got f***ing sick, I’m at home with her all week and I’m like, ‘Oh God no, no, no please don’t do it’ but she wants a kiss goodnight every night!

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa has to “fight a bit more” to get the same “recognition” as male pop stars in the music industry.
The 23-year-old singer – who has been penning her new album since January – claims there is a “stigma” attached to female pop artists, because many people assume they haven’t written their own songs if they are not “sat by a piano or guitar”, and she has called for change.
She said: “For so long there’s been this stigma behind female pop stars.
“When a male pop star comes on the scene people instantly believe they write their own songs and direct their own videos.
“It’s instant, whereas if you’re a female artist and you’re not sat by a piano or guitar, and you’re performing a song, people instantly think that you’re manufactured and you’re no longer authentic to yourself.
“I feel women really have to fight a bit more to get the recognition they deserve.”
Dua will take two weeks off in October to go over the material she has written for her second studio album – a follow up to her self-titled 2017 effort – because she wants to ensure her tunes represent the “exact” message she “wants to put out”.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “I started writing it at the beginning of the year. I’ve looked back and because I’ve been touring for so long and I’ve been putting lots of songs out, I still have a couple more tricks up my sleeve before this is done.
“I just want to make sure it’s exactly the message that I want to put out.”
Dua and Mark Ronson will release new track ‘Electricity’ on Friday (07.09.18) through his Silk City dance project, and the producer recently claimed she could become as big as late star Amy Winehouse.
He said: “I’m such a huge a fan of Dua Lipa, her voice is great, it’s got electricity.
“To watch her do her thing is amazing. She is the first UK pop solo artist to crack America since… I don’t even know.
“I mean I’m not talking about Adele or Amy, but like someone who makes really good danceable pop music.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Jardine feels like Roxanne Pallett “played” him like “her puppet” in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The former ‘Married At First Sight’ star got close to the ex-‘Emmerdale’ actress in the famous abode, but he is now “broken-hearted” after seeing the footage following her accusation that fellow housemate Ryan Thomas punched her “like a boxer would punch a punch bag” during a playful exchange.
Roxanne has since left the ‘CBB’ house and apologised for making such claims about Ryan – and Ben feels “devastated” that he opened up to her on the Channel 5 show.
Speaking on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’, he said: “I’m a little bit wounded in my heart, it’s got a load of scars on. I am an open book, I would say, ‘She did this to me, she did that to me.’ I’ve told all this to Roxy, and I feel she’s played that, and I feel like I was her puppet.
“Watching it back, I’m devastated. Roxy used that word tonight, is she devastated?
“I’m broken-hearted.”
As well as Ben, Ryan’s brother Scott Thomas appeared on the spin-off show’s panel last night (03.09.18), and he praised ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host Emma Willis for “not sugar coating” her chat with Roxanne, after the TV presenter grilled the soap star about accusing Ryan.
Scott admitted he and his family have been in tears about the allegations, which have seen Ryan break down in the house on numerous occasions, but he has been “blown away” by how the former ‘Coronation Street’ star has handled things.
He said: “I was sat at home, literally in tears. I’ve had my mum on the phone crying to me. She can’t get her head around it. Mum is seeing her little baby boy crying his eyes out on TV.
“The way he handled it … wow, what an absolute superstar. Accusations like that are so serious.
“He’s like my big bro, he’s like my dad. To see him break down like that, because it’s his career in question. His whole life. It’s not just a reality TV show. It’s his whole life.
“I am blown away by Ryan, and I can’t wait to give him a cuddle.”
On last night’s ‘CBB’, Emma’s pre-recorded interview with Roxanne was played out, in which the former ‘Waterloo Road’ star claimed she was now the “most hated girl in Britain”, and said she is “crippled with embarrassment” after accusing Ryan Thomas of hitting her.
She said: “I feel devastated. It cripples me with embarrassment and shame that I could have put somebody in that position. Seeing the footage of Ryan in the Diary Room, distressed … I fully agree and understand with every single person’s reaction and perceptions to that. If I’d have been at home watching that I would have been the same.”
Ofcom received more than 11,000 complaints after the incident was played out, which saw Ryan receive a formal warning from Big Brother.
Ryan’s girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh believes that warning should be revoked, and admitted the recent ‘CBB’ episodes have been “hard to watch”.
She said: “I want Big Brother to revoke his warning and make an apology. I think when they give warnings in the past it is for serious things and he didn’t do anything.
“That’s why there are so many Ofcom complaints, everyone can see with their eyes that nothing happened.
“It’s been hard to watch, for Ryan’s family and friends. His mum and brothers are in bits.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson would like to appear on the celebrity version of ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The ‘Skyscraper’ star has revealed he’s an unlikely fan of the British baking show and if he didn’t have a busy filming schedule, he’d be up for competing on the programme for charity.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “Baking is something I am really fascinated by, mainly because I love to eat the finished product.
“I would do ‘Celebrity Bake Off’ if I wasn’t shooting a movie – especially if it was for charity.
“Hopefully, I’d do well – but if not I could just kick somebody’s a**.”
The former WWE star revealed last year that he hopes one day he can run his own bakery.
He said at the time: “People ask me if I’m running for president, or if I will be in The Fast And The Furious 9.
“But I have an ambition nobody knows about. I want my own bakery. “Yeah, that’s right – The Rock likes to bake.”
The ‘San Andreas’ actor shares a love of the show with rapper Snoop Dogg, who was no doubt less than impressed when Mary Berry was replaced by Prue Leith when the show moved from the BBC to Channel 4.
Revealing his love of the 83-year-old baking legend, the ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper said: “The guy (Paul Hollywood) is cool but it’s all about my home girl Mary. You know she is the boss.
“You know, I’ve been known to do a little baking in my time.

OHMYGOSSIP — Aretha Franklin’s family have slammed the pastor at her funeral for delivering an “offensive and distasteful” eulogy.
The Queen of Soul was laid to rest in Detroit on Friday (31.08.18) but her loved ones are unhappy with Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. for neglecting to honour her memory and disparaging single mothers and the black lives matter movement in his speech.
Her nephew Vaughn Franklin, speaking on behalf of the family, said in a statement: “We found the comments to be offensive and distasteful.
“Rev. Jasper Williams spent more than 50 minutes speaking and at no time did he properly eulogise her.”
And Vaughn admitted he wished they had asked someone else to deliver the eulogy instead of the pastor, who was chosen because of his involvement in previous family funerals.
He continued: “My aunt did not ask Rev. Jasper Williams, Jr. to eulogize her before she passed away because dying is a topic that she never discussed with anyone.
“Our family asked Rev. Jasper Williams, Jr. to perform the eulogy because he eulogized our grandfather (Rev. C. L. Franklin), my aunt (Erma Franklin) and my uncle (Cecil Franklin). However, there were several people that my aunt admired that would have been outstanding individuals to deliver her eulogy including Dr. William J. Barber, Rev. Al Sharpton, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Rev. James Holley and Pastor E.L. Branch.”
During his speech at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, the pastor said there are “not fathers in the home no more” and that a black woman cannot raise a black boy to be a man, as well as proclaiming: “Black lives must not matter until black people start respecting black lives and stop killing ourselves.”
And Vaughn criticised Williams for using the funeral of his aunt – who was a single mother to four sons – to “push his negative agenda”.
He continued: “We feel that Rev. Jasper Williams, Jr. used this platform to push his negative agenda, which as a family, we do not agree with.”
After the eulogy was delivered, Stevie Wonder appeared to address the comments when he took to the stage.
He was applauded as he said: “We need to make love great again because black lives do matter, because all lives do matter.”
The pastor “regrets” upsetting Aretha’s family and respects their opinion.
He said: “I understand it. I regret it. But I’m sorry they feel that way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic West thinks raising his children in a castle in Ireland has given them a “far broader existence” than they could find elsewhere.
The 48-year-old actor – who has kids Dora, 12, Senan, 10, and Francis, nine, with his wife Catherine Fitzgerald – lives in the spectacular surrounds of a castle in Glin, and he believes it’s the perfect place to bring up a family.
Dominic – who also has a 20-year-old daughter called Martha from a previous relationship – explained: “Glin enriches my life and my kids’ lives in terms of identity and continuum.”
Dominic is confident his children will ultimately benefit from being surrounded by Irish culture during their youth.
And he’s insisted there’s nowhere else in the world he would rather raise his kids.
He told the October issues of House & Garden magazine: “My children are surrounded by Irish wit and humanity. They have a far broader existence than they would anywhere else in the world.”
Dominic and Catherine tied the knot in 2010, and the ceremony turned out to be one of the events of the year in Glin, with the actor revealing that their entire village came out in support of them.
He said: “The whole village was involved, with Thomas Coolahan, the publican, postman and funeral director, running the bar with gusto.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Affair’ actor recently compared sex scenes to “giving birth” and insisted they are more “agricultural” than sexy.
He said: “I have to wear a sock over my bits for a start. An actor-y sock thing. There was one that was like a jockstrap, but all of them are ridiculous. A lot of the time the girl is wearing stick-on patches on her nipples which are also ridiculous. You look like sexless dolls. It’s farcical.
“In your supposed moment of passion you have a guy with a boom going, ‘Could you just move slightly to your left, mate?’ Then you’ve got some other poor sod putting make-up on your bum.

OHMYGOSSIP — Maureen Lipman knew she had to return to ‘Coronation Street’ when her late husband gave her a sign from beyond the grave.
The 72-year-old actress will make her debut as Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) battleaxe grandmother Evelyn Plummer next week, and while she wasn’t sure whether to accept the role at first, she was convinced it was the right thing to do when a light shone on a photograph of her late hubby, former ‘Corrie’ scriptwriter Jack Rosenthal, who died in 2004 aged 72.
Maureen – who appeared in ‘Corrie’ as landlady Lilian Spencer in 2002 – said: “I was preparing a one woman show for Edinburgh and I had gone with a new agent after many, many years. We had talked about how I would get back into mainstream TV without having to be a presenter.
“As I was finishing writing the show she called and said how would I feel about going into ‘Coronation Street’. For a while I thought I can’t do that I’ve got a partner in London, I’ve got dogs and grandchildren, do I want to leave London?
“I didn’t know what to do but the light over my late husband Jack’s picture sometimes comes on for no reason and whilst I was sitting there wondering what to do of course on it came.
“I thought it was a nice way to circle 50 years because I met Jack in 1969 when I came to Manchester to join a theatre group called The Stables and I thought it would be quite a nice way to go back to something that he started his career doing, he started by writing episode 13 of Coronation Street.
“It is a little bit of a sentimental exercise but also it is quite a ‘me’ part.”
Maureen was attracted to the role because her alter-ego is “outspoken” and a “bit embittered”, but she faced a hectic schedule after accepting the part.
The ‘Pianist’ actress added: “She is not frightened to say what she thinks, Evelyn is certainly outspoken, a bit mean, a bit embittered, I’m not saying that I am that but maybe it’s not much of a stretch and she is funny, so that redeems her unpleasant qualities to some extent.
“I met with the then-producer Kate Oates and I got a bit of the background story and saw a couple of the first scripts. I felt it would be a bit of a challenge, particularly as I would have to go up there and get a lot of episodes filmed in advance because I was already booked for Edinburgh.
“They hadn’t written it with that in mind so it suddenly became a total whirlwind of me on trains going backwards and forwards to Manchester trying to learn not just the one woman show but also a part in ‘Coronation Street’.”
Maureen’s ‘Corrie’ comeback was confirmed last month, and new series producer Iain MacLeod is delighted she is heading back to Weatherfield.
He said: “I am beyond thrilled that we are introducing such a great new character, played by someone of Maureen’s pedigree.
“Evelyn is eye-wateringly withering and will add a fresh dollop of northern humour to the show as she turns Tyrone and Fiz’s lives upside down.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niamh Blackshaw has joined ‘Hollyoaks’.
The actress will portray damaged and vulnerable bully Juliet Quinn, the daughter of Donna Marie Quinn (Lucy Jo Hudson) and little sister of Romeo Quinn, who has always been protective of his sibling.
Niamh said: “I am so excited to be joining the cast of ‘Hollyoaks’.
“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”
Juliet’s arrival in the village will come just a month after the re-opening of Hollyoaks High, which will open its doors at the end of September.
School head teacher Sally St Claire – played by Annie Wallace – said: “I’m looking forward to welcoming pupils old and new to the beautiful new Hollyoaks High campus, which I’m sure will be more productive and less eventful than the recent past. Hopefully.”
The school, which will have a colourful new look following renovation work, has been shut since a devastating explosion caused by Mac Nightingale (David Easter), which claimed the life of loveable teacher Neeta Kaur (Amrit Maghera).
Mac will strike fear into the villagers next week when he wakes from his coma and makes a miraculous recovery from locked-in syndrome, which he was diagnosed with following a fall at The Dog In The Pond at the end of last year.
David recently teased fans they can look forward to a “juicy” plot involving his alter-ego.
He said: “He’s obviously going to have some sort of revenge.
“You’ll have to wait until he gets back.
“You’re going to find out a little bit more about what happened with James. So that’s going to be very interesting.
“It’s going to be a pretty heavy storyline and there are lots of juicy things coming up. So keep watching and you’ll see.”

The reality TV stars hosted the celebrations with some of their famous friends – including Bella Hadid – joining them for the party on Monday (03.09.18).
She shared clips of the bash on her Instagram stories, letting her followers see the build-up as Kourtney Kardashian got involved with the food.
Kim said: “Kourtney made the guac you guys, Kourtney made this delicious guac.”
Model Bella could also be seen helping out as she sliced some watermelon, leaving her friend very impressed with how “professional” it looked for “her first time”.
Kim also learned how to give a bit of a boost to the watermelon, as tequila was added to the top.
Kendall Jenner explained: “You let it soak… and wait a couple of hours.”
The 22-year-old model also shared a peak at the party with her own flowers, including a beer pong battle with Bella, and a clip of male model Lukas Sabbat playing with a dog in the garden.
The gathering comes after Kendall has been linked to Anwar Hadid – the 19-year-old younger brother of Bella and her model sister Gigi – but it’s said there was nothing “affectionate” between them.
The pair were seen together twice over the weekend, sparking romance rumours, but sources have now said the pair weren’t particularly close and spent the whole time “with a group of friends”.
An insider told People magazine: “Kendall seems great. She’s spending time with Anwar. She obviously likes him, but both nights they were with a group of friends. She wasn’t affectionate with Anwar.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre has admitted it can be “hard” to spend time with all of his kids “equally”.
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker – who has Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with ex-wife Katie Price, and Amelia, four, and Theo, 21 months, with his spouse Emily – says it can be a struggle to make himself available to all of his brood constantly due to his hectic work schedule.
Peter – who recently enjoyed a holiday to the US with his older children – wrote in his column for new! magazine: “I think Ems really enjoyed spending quality time with Amelia and Theo [while we were away], as with four kids it can sometimes be hard to divide our attention equally. It’s also been nice for Emily and I to split our time, especially because Junior and Bista go back to school this week.”
Peter, 45, took Princess and Junior on holiday to Orlando, Florida, last week, and Katie took to Twitter to check in on them after alleging she had not been able to make contact with them.
The 40-year-old TV star was believed to have been worried after news broke about a shooting at a gaming tournament in Jacksonville, Florida – which is 140 miles from Orlando – on Sunday August 26, and took to Twitter to beg Peter to get in touch.
She tweeted: “Still up at this hour, trying to contact my kids in America. Been trying Morning, Afternoon and Night. Please @MrPeterAndre let me know they are ok? (sic).”
In June, it was revealed that Princess and Junior were living with Peter, as Katie dealt with her split from Kieran Hayler.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star split with her estranged spouse – with whom she has five-year-old son Jett and four-year-old daughter Bunny – in August 2017, and in order to ease the stress put on her brood by the split, Princess and Junior moved in with their dad.
A spokesperson confirmed that Katie – who is also mother to 16-year-old son Harvey – and Peter “agreed it best” for their children.
They added: “What is important [is] that the focus is on what is best for the children during tough times as Peter has acknowledged. Katie is a remarkable mother, Peter is a wonderful father, together they are doing what is best for their children.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lenny Abrahamson knew he wanted to adapt ‘The Little Stranger’ “eight or nine years ago”.
The 51-year-old director – who is, perhaps, best-known for directing ‘Room’, which is based on a 2010 novel of the same name – has revealed he’s been patiently waiting to adapt the Sarah Waters’ horror novel, having first read the story almost a decade ago.
He shared: “When I read ‘The Little Stranger’, eight or nine years ago, just before it came out because somebody slipped us a copy of it, it was the first time I’d ever read a book and thought, ‘I would like to adapt that.’
“So, it had been sitting there, in the back of my mind, for ages. When I read it, I’d made two well-reviewed, but very small films in Ireland, and it was very, very hard for myself and Ed Guiney, the producer I work with so closely, to be trusted with a big period film.
“Later on, while I was working on ‘Frank’ with Film4, they were also developing this project with producers Gail Egan and Andrea Calderwood, with Potboiler in London.
“We all ended up talking, including Lucinda Coxon, who’s the magnificent screenwriter that adapted this, and realising we all had a very similar vision for the film and a feeling about it, so we decided that it would be good to work together. That’s how it started.”
And in spite of the attractive offers that came his way following the success of ‘Room’, Lenny has always been eager to return to the project.
He told Collider: “While other films and projects came in, and lots of offers came in, and other things that I’d been developing suddenly became possible, with the success of ‘Room’, I just had this in my head as the next film. I just didn’t want to let it go.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Cronenberg has told up-and-coming filmmakers to “be careful who you work with”.
The 75-year-old director – who has helmed movies such as ‘Scanners’ and ‘Videodrome’ – once blasted the Weinstein brothers, Bob and Harvey, in a room of aspiring filmmakers before the latter was accused of sexual abuse and harassment by more than 80 women.
Asked whether he now feels vindicated, David explained: “What I was really trying to illustrate to them was that you have to really be careful who you work with.
“You have to do some research and you have to have a good fit with a producer. So it was in a context of discussing what you need to be aware of if you are going to be a professional filmmaker.”
David worked with the Weinsteins earlier in his career and even though they were among the most powerful figures within Hollywood at the time, the relationship was far from successful.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, David shared: “They did distribute my film ‘eXistenZ’, but basically I had a contract with Bob Weinstein and his company to release my film in at least 700 theatres, and I think he ended up only releasing it in 30 and was very upset because we had a test screening that didn’t go well.
“And for guys who say they are marketing geniuses, they were acting very much like a standard studio, which is to say they have one bad test screening and they lose faith in the whole project.
“That’s not what you would expect from guys who promoted themselves the way the Weinsteins did. But to me that’s just normal movie anguish.”

OHMYGOSSIP — New Order have announced a one-off UK show for this year.
The 80s synth-pop veterans will headline London’s Alexandra Palace on November 9, before heading out on a Latin America tour which kicks off on November 18 in Mexico city, before wrapping in Curitiba, Brazil, on December 2.

Meanwhile, the ‘Blue Monday’ hitmaker recently announced a new documentary, ‘New Order: Decades’, which will give fans a walk through of their history.
Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris and former bassist Peter Hook were all members of seminal indie band Joy Division and went on to create New Order in 1980 after lead singer Ian Curtis died of suicide.
The forthcoming Sky Arts film is set to go behind the scenes of their ‘So It Goes’ debut in 1978, what would be the ‘Love Will Tears Us Apart’ hitmakers’ first TV performance after late singer Ian berated the presenter in Manchester’s Rafters nightclub.
The documentary will show footage of the group working with artist Liam Gillick and a synthesiser orchestra for the re-working of ‘So It Goes’ at the Manchester International Festival 2017.
The Mike Christie-helmed film will feature interviews with the band, designer Peter Saville and shows several crucial performances in their 40-year history.
A tweet on the band’s official Twitter page revealed: “New Order: Decades” will air on Saturday 22nd September at 9pm on @SkyArts.
Directed by @mikechristieuk, the part concert, part documentary follows the band’s preparations for their appearance at @MIFestival 2017.

According to Sky, it’s “a rare chance to enter the band’s private world, understand the visual philosophy of their aesthetic and design, and witness their collaborative, creative processes first hand.”
Last year, New Order reached a “full and final settlement” with ex-member Peter after a long-running legal dispute over royalties.
The 62-year-old musician claimed to be £2.3 million out of pocket after he quit the band he co-founded in 2007, and filed a lawsuit against his former bandmates Bernard, Stephen and Gillian Morris in 2015.
However, the trio revealed their lawsuit had ended after years of back and forth over various issues involving the New Order and Joy Division band names and how much Hook is paid for using them.
In a statement posted on their website, the band wrote: “New Order announce that today, a full and final settlement has been reached in the long running disputes with their former bassist Peter Hook.
“The disputes were based upon Hook’s use of various New Order and Joy Division assets on merchandising and in the promotion of shows by his new band, and the amount of money he receives from the use of the name New Order by his former colleagues since 2011.
“The Joy Division and New Order names mean a great deal to so many of the fans, and the band felt it important to protect the legacy.
“With these issues now dealt with, Bernard, Stephen and Gillian can continue to do what they do best, make music and perform live. (sic)”
‘New Order: Decades’ will be broadcast on September 22 on Sky Arts at 9pm GMT.
