Kristen Bell praises Dax Shepard for sobriety

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell has praised her husband Dax Shepard for his “dedication”, as he celebrates 14 years of sobriety.
The 38-year-old actress has two daughters, Lincoln, five, and Delta, three, with the ‘CHiPS’ star – whom she married in 2013 – and in a moving letter posted to Instagram on Saturday (01.09.18), the star paid tribute to her husband’s continued sobriety.
Posting a series of pictures of Dax, Kristen wrote: “To the man mocked me when in our wedding photos because I cried too many tears of joy,
“Who wore a baby Bjorn for 2 straight years to show his girls how to be as adventurous as possible,
“Who held our dear little shakey mann pup for 8 hrs straight on the day we had to put him down,
“I know how much you loved using. I know how much it got in your way. And I know, because I saw, how hard you worked to live without it.
“I will forever be in awe of your dedication, and the level of fierce moral inventory you perform on yourself, like an emotional surgery, every single night. (sic)
The ‘Frozen’ actress went on to dub Dax, 43, as an “inspiration” to her.
She continued: “You never fail to make amends, or say sorry when its needed. You are always available to guide me, and all of our friends, with open ears and tough love when its needed most.
“You have become the fertilizer in the garden of our life, encouraging everyone to grow.
“I’m so proud that you have never been ashamed of your story, but instead shared it widely, with the hope it might inspire someone else to become the best version of themselves.
“You have certainly inspired me to do so. (sic)”
Kristen rounded off her message by saying Dax is an “excellent example of being human”.
She said: “I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone, and I want you to know, I see you. I see how hard you work. You set an excellent example of being human.
“Happy 14th year sobriety birthday, @daxshepard.
“Xoxo (sic)”

Dolly Parton to be named 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year?

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton is reportedly set to be named the MusiCares Person of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards in February.
The 76-year-old country legend has been speculated by sources to be the recipient of the prestigious award, which she will be honoured with at the glitzy award ceremony early next year.
According to New York Post’s Page Six column, several sources have named the ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker as the honouree for the gong, but said that a Recording Academy spokeswoman could not confirm her selection, stating that “nothing has been finalised” as of the time of writing.
If Dolly does get the award, she will be the first country and western star ever to win the coveted prize, and one of only six individual female artists.
Previous winners have included the likes of the late Aretha Franklin – who passed away last month – Sir Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Paul Simon.
Outside of her chart-topping music career, the ‘Jolene’ singer is an active philanthropist, and recently revealed her initiative to inspire children to read more books, by assisting with the YouTube Kids’ global Reading Month.
Dolly – whose father Lee, couldn’t read or write – said: “I believe initiatives like Reading Month in YouTube Kids that encourage kid’s love of reading at an early age are so important.
“These are the moments when dreams are born and these are the memories that last forever.”
In 1995, Dolly launched her own book-gifting scheme that provides free books to children between birth and the age of five in communities in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.
Dolly’s not-for-profit organisation donated its 100 millionth book earlier this year, and the chart-topping star remains as enthusiastic about the cause as ever.
The star launched the scheme in memory of her late father, and previously said: “It’s a fact that the most important thing we can do to inspire kids to be lifetime learners is to read to them as much as possible.”

Robin Wright: Kevin Spacey deserves second chance

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Spacey’s former co-star Robin Wright thinks the actor should be given the chance to “reform”, following his sexual assault scandal.
The 58-year-old disgraced actor is facing several accusations that he sexual assaulted men including actor Anthony Rapp – who claimed the star made unwanted advances on him when he was just 14 years old – and the allegations caused the star to be removed from Netflix drama ‘House of Cards’, which Robin also stars in.
And now, Robin has said that she believes all human beings, including Kevin, deserve a “second chance”, providing they can show “growth” from the result of their actions.
When asked if Kevin should be offered a career reprieve, 52-year-old Robin said: “I don’t know how to comment on that, I really don’t… I believe every human being has the ability to reform. Has the ability to reform. In that sense, second chances, or whatever you are going to call it – absolutely, I believe in that. It’s called growth.”
‘House of Cards’ is gearing up to air its final season on streaming site Netflix, and Robin admits the show was almost cancelled completely following the allegations against Kevin, because of the “climate” at the time where other stars – including the likes of Harvey Weinstein – were being accused of sexual misconduct.
Speaking to Net-A-Porter’s Edit magazine, Robin said: “[It came] very, very close [to being axed]. Because of the climate at that time. The air was thick, you know. Harvey Weinstein… People were [saying], ‘We have to shut everything down or otherwise it will look like we are glorifying and honoring this thing that’s dirty.'”
Last month, it was reported Kevin was facing a new allegation of sexual assault, which was being investigated by LA County District Attorney’s Office.
The accusation follows three new allegations of sexual harassment that were filed in London in July, and brings the total number of men who have made claims again Kevin to over 30.

Robbie Williams’ daughter ‘destined’ for showbiz

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams’ daughter is “destined” for a showbiz career.
The 44-year-old singer has five-year-old daughter Teddy and three-year-old son Charlton with his wife Ayda Field, and has said that whilst he’s trying to steer his brood away from the spotlight, Teddy is already in love with being on stage.
Speaking to the Daily Star on Sunday’s TV Life magazine, Robbie said: “Teddy, our daughter, we’re trying to keep her away from show business, but I think it’s a useless thing we’re trying to do. She actually cries when I go on stage because she can’t. She’s already destined for a life in show business. But we shall see, who knows?”
Teddy will get her first big job in front of a crowd later this year, as she’s said to have been given the role as flower girl when Princess Eugenie ties the knot with Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in October.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker’s little girl will be a part of the bridal party, alongside Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s daughter Princess Charlotte, three, and four-year-old Maud Windsor, who is the daughter of Lord Freddie Windsor and his wife, actress Sophie Winkleman.
A source said: “This is a great moment for Robbie. He couldn’t be more proud for his daughter.”
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Ayda recently admitted she and the ‘Party Like A Russian’ singer are “looking forward” to playing pranks on their kids when they are old enough to appreciate them and she can’t wait to be an “embarrassing” parent.
She said: “I feel like Rob and I are looking forward to punking our children.
“I feel like we are totally going to be those embarrassing parents.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle name new puppy

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have named their new pet pup Oz.
The royal couple – who tied the knot in May at St George’s Chapel inside Windsor Castle – were revealed last week to have added a new furry friend to their ranks when they adopted a black Labrador, and it has now been claimed they’ve settled on a name for the pooch.
According to reports from USA Today, author Sally Bedell Smith – who has written several biographies for the royal family – has said Harry, 33, and Meghan, 37, have picked Oz as the most suitable moniker for their new dog, although no explanation has been given as to why.
The couple adopted the pup this summer, where he now lives at their Kensington Palace cottage alongside Meghan’s beagle Guy, who was brought over to the UK from the former actress’ home in Canada.
A source said: “The dog is already happily ensconced at their cottage.
“Like the Sussexes, the dog will divide its time between the palace and their country home in the Cotswolds.”
Meghan – who was known as Meghan Markle before joining the royal family earlier this year – is known for her love of dogs and is also the owner of a Labrador-Shepherd cross named Bogart, whom she sadly had to leave behind when she relocated to the UK because he was deemed too old to make the transatlantic move.
However, the pooch is now staying with Meghan’s “very close friends”.
She said previously: “One [dog] is now staying with very close friends and my other, little Guy, he’s in the UK, he’s been here for a while.”
Adding dogs to their family is the next big step for the newlyweds, who are said to be thinking of having a baby together.
Meghan’s father Thomas Markle once said: “She’s wanted children for a long time. When she met Harry and she spoke about how much she loves him … there’s got to be a child in the making there soon.”

John Krasinski’s dedicated flights

OHMYGOSSIP — John Krasinski flew home “every weekend” when filming ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ to spend time with his family.
The 38-year-old actor has daughters Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with his wife Emily Blunt, and has said that despite the gruelling shooting schedule for the new Amazon show, he never missed out on a weekend with his brood as he made sure to jump on a plane at the end of each week.
He said: “Family for me, it’s a non-negotiable thing. So if I’m honest, I was shooting 6,000 miles away from them, and I flew back every single weekend.”
At the time, Emily was filming ‘Mary Poppins’ in London, and so John had to board a plane bound for the UK each weekend in order to fit in quality time with his wife and children.
He added: “Emily was shooting a little indie movie called ‘Mary Poppins’. So they were with her, and we always set up a base, and I always want the base to be with their mom, and I’ll do the flight time.”
The former ‘Office’ star admits the journey was “brutal”, but says he knows how “lucky” he was to able to jump on a plane on a whim to visit family across the globe.
Speaking to People magazine, he said: “I think that there’s nothing you can complain about in this business, you know what I mean? We are all so lucky to be doing what we’re doing. If there’s one thing that’s a bummer, it’s that you spend time away from your kids. But guess what, a lot of people spend time away from their kids. So for me, I think we’re all living in a fantasy camp. So I’m not going to be the first one to complain.”
John’s confession comes after his ‘Jack Ryan’ co-star Dina Shihabi echoed his statements earlier this week.
Speaking about John, she said: “He flew basically every weekend to London, where Emily was shooting ‘Mary Poppins’, to be with his kids. He would wrap at like 5 a.m. on a Saturday morning, get on the next flight to London, and then come back Sunday night.”

Roxanne Pallett chose not to talk to police after alleged Ryan Thomas incident

OHMYGOSSIP — Big Brother asked Roxanne Pallett if she’d like to speak to the police after she alleged Ryan Thomas punched her during a play fight.
The 35-year-old actress walked out of the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this week following a dramatic few days in which she has been blasted for accusing housemate Ryan Thomas of “assault” after a play fight, and it has now been revealed producers of the Channel 5 reality show asked her if she’d wanted to press charges against Ryan – which she declined.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Roxanne sat down with producers on Friday and they discussed all the possible courses of action she could take.
“She was still adamant Ryan had hit her and that it was a really serious incident, despite what everyone has seen on camera.
“CBB takes its duty if care to the celebs incredibly seriously and they wanted to give her all the options.
“They asked her if she wanted to report the incident to the police. She asked what would happen if she did and they said her and Ryan might have to leave the house and they might both forfeit their fees.
“To be fair to her, she said she didn’t want to go down that route. Then she left.”
During the incident, Roxanne claimed ‘Coronation Street’ star Ryan “punched” her “like a boxer would punch a bag”, in scenes which appeared to be a play fight.
She told Big Brother in the Diary Room: “A boy who’s punched me repeatedly, unprovoked, completely deliberate. He actually punched me like a boxer would punch a bag. We weren’t play fighting. There wasn’t banter, it wasn’t a joke, there was no exchange. I can’t believe you’re letting someone stay in that’s done that, it’s not on.”
Roxanne’s claims haven’t gone without complaint though, as it was revealed a total of 11,215 complaints have been lodged with Ofcom.
The actress will be interviewed on her exit during Monday’s (03.09.18) episode of the show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxanne Pallett’s former on-screen husband Kelvin Fletcher has slammed her as “evil” following her assault accusation against Ryan Thomas.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star walked out of the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this week following a dramatic few days in which she has been blasted for accusing housemate Ryan Thomas of “assault” after a play fight, and now Kelvin – who played the husband of her character Jo on the ITV soap – has hit out at her on social media.
After Roxanne accused Ryan of hitting her “like a boxer”, Kelvin took to Twitter to simply write: “She. Is. Evil. #cbb (sic)”
Kelvin isn’t the only actor from the soap to have slammed the 35-year-old actress either, as several stars took to social media to accuse Roxanne of lying about what happened during the incident.
Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle on the show, wrote: “It’s worrying that someone is allowed to say that about someone and they’re taking it seriously. We’ve just watched it and nothing happened. Outrageous. (sic)”
Before she later added: “So, all of Roxanne’s social media has been deleted. Says a lot to me. I’ve woken up this morning even more furious for @ ryanjamesthomas and all the women who actually do suffer from abuse. It’s not normal behaviour and there needs to be consequences. (sic)”
Verity Rushworth, who played Donna Windsor, also offered her support to ‘Coronation Street’ star Ryan, when she wrote: “Karma’s a b***h… #CBB #Ryantowin. (sic)”
Roxanne chose to leave the ‘Big Brother’ house after the incident, which saw a total of 11,215 complaints lodged with Ofcom from viewers who were shocked by Roxanne’s alleged comments.

Emma Stone ‘can’t imagine’ her life without Ryan Gosling

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone “can’t even imagine” her life without Ryan Gosling.
The 29-year-old actress has starred alongside Ryan in a number of her most successful movies, including ‘La La Land’ and ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’, and she’s admitted she loves working with the Canadian actor.
She shared: “I can’t even imagine what my life would be without Ryan.”
Despite being one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Emma revealed that Ryan is also a “generous” co-star, adding that he’s taught her a lot about acting.
Emma said: “He’s so special. It makes me emotional. He’s so talented but he’s such a great person to work with because he’s so collaborative and excited about the process.
“He’s taught me a lot about being really generous.”
Emma previously admitted that she and Ryan, 37, struck up a good partnership the moment they met, and they’ve remained good friends ever since.
She explained: “We really hit it off. We’ve been just pals ever since.
“He is a wonderful person, but also an incredible actor. It’s a lucky thing that we get to do three [movies together]. It’s not bad.”
Meanwhile, Ryan previously admitted to being shocked by the positive reaction to ‘La La Land’.
The Damien Chazelle-directed musical drama proved to be a huge hit with fans and critics after its release in 2016, and Ryan confessed to being surprised by its success.
He shared: “I was just gearing up to defend it. I knew that I loved it and we were very proud of it but I had no idea there would be this kind of reaction. It’s obviously a very nice alternative to what I was preparing for.
“When I meet people who have seen it they rarely say that they have seen it once. They’ve seen it like three times, four times. I’m so shocked by that.
“But there seems to be something about the world of the movie that people want to keep revisiting. It’s just been a wonderful surprise.”

Halsey and G-Eazy are back together

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey and G-Eazy are back together.
The couple called time on their relationship back in July but, although it seemed at the time that they had ended on bitter terms, it seems the pair have managed to work through their differences as they set tongues wagging with some public display of affection during the 29-year-old rapper’s concert in Holmdel last week.
The 23-year-old beauty joined the ‘No Limit’ hitmaker on stage in New Jersey before the pair shared a passionate smooch in front of the screaming audience.
But it wasn’t just their fans at the show they wanted to share their reconciliation with as G-Eazy later uploaded an intimate picture of the pair on social media.
He didn’t caption the photograph – which appeared to be professionally captured during the show – but Halsey can be seen in the shot leaning in towards his lips.
The couple first sparked speculation they were working on their relationship when they were spotted leaving the MTV VMAs’ after-party hand-in-hand in August.
News of their apparent reconciliation may not come as a shock to fans of the pair, as Halsey was previously seen to be having a hard time dealing with the split after she broke down in tears while performing breakup ballad ‘Sorry’ onstage at the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan, in July.
A fan captured the moment on Instagram and wrote: “Homegirl started crying, so I started crying. I love you endlessly @halsey.”
The footage saw the beauty wiping away a tear after singing the words: “Someone will love you / But someone isn’t me.”
A few months prior to their break-up, the ‘Alone’ singer admitted she was “really happy” with her life.
She said: “I’m really happy with my life … [I’m not] this reckless, devil-may-care, angry person [anymore] … I really love that girl so much … but now I’m 23, I bought a house and I do my taxes.
“At first, people were, like, ‘This is a publicity stunt.’ I was, like, ‘Well, I hope to God it isn’t, because if he’s getting paid, I should be too!'”

Cardi B ‘needed girl’ like daughter Kulture

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B “needed a girl” like her daughter.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker gave birth to her baby girl Kulture, whom she has with her husband Offset, in July and, although she’s mocked the tiny tot’s “spicy attitude” on more than one occasion, she’s glad she has a strong personality.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 25-year-old rapper – who is yet to share a picture of Kulture’s face – uploaded a photo of her baby’s hands holding hers.
And she captioned the shot: “I needed a girl like you. KK. (sic)”
The ‘Be Careful’ rap star is so besotted with her little girl that she’s reportedly demanding at least $300,000 for her first gig back since giving birth.
However, it’s not just the price that needs to be right as the brunette beauty has also said any gigs need to be close to her home so she can go back to her baby.
Cardi announced that she had pulled out of Bruno Mars’ tour ’24K Magic’ because her body didn’t feel ready to do the choreography every night.
She also felt uncomfortable leaving her newborn daughter for that long after doctors told her that there’s no way the tiny tot can join her on the tour bus or fly.
She said at the time: “I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
However, despite her decision not to go on tour, Cardi has wasted no time throwing herself back into work as she’s determined to make money for her baby.
One fan said recently: “Nothing puts in perspective how much women give up being pregnant and having a baby more then the fact that Cardi B had to cancel a world tour with the biggest pop artist in the world right now and Offset is still on tour like nothing happened (sic)”
To which Cardi replied: “Just cause I’m not on your doesnt mean I’m working ;)I’m working harder then ever and you will see soon ! (sic)”

Tamara Ecclestone is ‘almost done’ with breastfeeding

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamara Ecclestone is “almost done” with breastfeeding her four-year-old daughter.
The 34-year-old socialite has revealed she’s slowly phasing out breastfeeding her daughter Sophia, who is preparing for her first term in school.
She told Hello! magazine: “I definitely think it’s something that [Sophia’s] almost done with and it’s phasing out. And I’m fine about that. It’s happened so gradually and I’ve been expecting it.”
Tamara – who has Sophia with her husband Jay Rutland – has been outspoken on the issue of breastfeeding over the years, saying it’s helped her to “reconnect” with Sophia.
She said: “It’s only at bedtime. It’s her bedtime routine. We do bath time, then we read four stories every night, then she has the boob.
“She falls asleep. That’s her way, she doesn’t have a dummy or a bottle to comfort her.”
What’s more, Tamara previously revealed she’d never spent a single night away from her daughter, who sleeps in the same bed as her and her husband.
In fact, Sophia even shared their bed on the night of their fifth wedding anniversary.
Speaking earlier this year, she explained: “It’s my fifth wedding anniversary soon and Fifi’s coming. I can see it as a problem when Jay is like ‘get her out of the bed.'”
She said, too, that her daughter’s early years seem to have passed by so quickly.
Tamara added: “It’s crazy how quickly it’s gone from her being born to now going to school. Nursery went by in a flash.
“The day she was getting measured for her school uniform I was getting really teary and the lady could tell, and she said: ‘Oh don’t worry, all the mums get a bit emotional.’
“I will definitely cry on the first day of school – not because I don’t want her to go, but because I’m just so proud of her.”

Jacqueline Jossa disappointed with Dan Osborne’s CBB stint

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa is disappointed her husband Dan Osborne went into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house just as they were getting their marriage back on track.
The former ‘TOWIE’ star is currently locked up inside the Channel 5 abode and, although she’d like to see him win the series, the 25-year-old actress is adamant she won’t be there when he comes out because she’s annoyed that he even agreed to go in there shortly after they decided to give their relationship another go.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “I hope he wins but I won’t be there at the final, I think that would be a bit weird. We need to talk when he’s back and see where we both stand. It’s a shame he went on the show while we were still figuring things out. The timing wasn’t great for us but I told him that if he felt like it was something he needed to do then I’d support him wholeheartedly. It’s been hard seeing Daniel discuss our marriage with a group of people I’ve never met.”
The couple split up in May – just 11 months after they got married – and, although they’re not “officially” back together, the 27-year-old hunk has moved back in to their family home and they were getting on “really well” prior to his ‘CBB’ stint.
She explained: “We’re not officially back together but he’s living with us so we spend every day together, and we’re getting on really well.
“It’s hard for me to discuss my relationship when we haven’t had a chance to talk about it properly. I don’t know what the future holds. Dan is my family and no matter what goes on in our marriage that won’t change.”
The pair have two daughters; Ella, three, and two-month-old Mia together, while Dan has four-year-old son Teddy from his previous relationship.
The full interview can be read in this week’s OK! magazine.

Roxanne Pallett to discuss Ryan Thomas incident in sit-down interview

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxanne Pallett is to be interviewed by Emma Willis about her dramatic exit from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ tonight (03.09.18).
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star quit the Channel 5 reality show on Saturday (01.09.18) after she accused Ryan Thomas of repeatedly punching her in the ribs, and Roxanne is now set to discuss the controversial incident during interviews on ‘The Jeremy Vine Show’ and then again during a sit-down chat with ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host Emma.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Roxanne, like all the other housemates, is contracted to appear on ‘The Jeremy Vine Show’.”
The interview will mark the first time the actress has spoken about the situation with Ryan since she quit the show.
Meanwhile, an insider previously claimed that Roxanne, 35, decided against involving the police following talks with the show’s producers.
The source said: “Roxanne sat down with producers on Friday and they discussed all the possible courses of action she could take.
“She was still adamant Ryan had hit her and that it was a really serious incident, despite what everyone has seen on camera.
“‘CBB’ takes its duty if care to the celebs incredibly seriously and they wanted to give her all the options.
“They asked her if she wanted to report the incident to the police. She asked what would happen if she did and they said her and Ryan might have to leave the house and they might both forfeit their fees.

Chadwick Boseman fought Marvel for Black Panther’s African accents

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvel wanted Black Panther’s Wakandan people of Africa to speak with a British accent.
The studio were initially convinced that an African accent would be “too much for the audience to take in” and wanted to alter their dialect so that they spoke with an English twang, but Chadwick Boseman – who starred as T’Challa in the widely acclaimed film- fought against bosses because he felt it was important to keep the authenticity throughout.
Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, he said: “They felt that [an African accent] was maybe too much for an audience to take. I felt the exact opposite.
“Like if I speak with a British accent, what’s gonna happen when I go home? It felt to me like a dealbreaker. Having gone through similar situations before where I was willing to, like, stand up for it I was like, well, here we go again. So for them I don’t think it was that deep, I think it was an opinion. No, this is such an important factor that if we lose this right now what else are we going to throw away for the sake of making people feel comfortable? So yes that was a huge thing — once we decided to do it, we went for it.”
And it seems his perseverance paid off as ‘Black Panther’ – which features a predominantly black cast – is already considered to be one of Marvel’s biggest successes.
Boseman said previously: “As we premiered the movie in Korea, in London, after the LA premiere, we started to see how the world was going to receive it.
“We knew that a lot of black people were excited about the movie. But I think when we started to see the response overseas, that’s when I started to go, ‘Oh, wow, this is a big deal.'”
Chadwick said that the success of the film disproved some of the attitudes he’s witnesses within the movie business.
He confessed: “Studios will very often tell you that movies with a black lead are not going to work overseas.
“So I think that was the thing for me – this means something everywhere in the world.I know at that point that it could actually change how studios respond to our movies.”
