OHMYGOSSIP — Some of Britain and the world’s most beloved brands are predicted to lose a staggering $300 billion if plans for plain packaging are mandated.
Alcohol, sugar, fast food and other products are now required to carry health warnings and it is feared drinks brands in particular are most vulnerable to the threat of labelling censorship, which has already been carried out on tobacco, and just eight leading brand owners alone could face losses of $187 billion.
In a bid to save the cultural heritage of many iconic brands from the campaign to have their packaging censored or plastered with graphic warnings, membership organisation Endangered Species are spearheading a call for the creative industry to unite and find more effective ways to promote responsible consumption of products including fizzy drinks, fast food, alcohol and sugar through superior and creative packaging design.
From October 3, leading names in design, marketing and branding will come together for the Design Hackathon (Designhackathon.com) where agencies such as JKR Global and Sedley Place will collaborate on design solutions to raise awareness of responsible consumption while also enabling brands to keep their creative integrity.
The concepts will then be collated, edited and presented to brand owners and the world’s media via an interactive website, with the ultimate aim of the campaign being to help companies put the ideas into practice in order for their consumers to continue enjoying their products while also understanding how to lead healthy, responsible and positive lives.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher thought she would “get killed” when she and Meryl Streep “saved” a woman from being mugged.
The 72-year-old singer and her friend and ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ co-star have previously briefly mentioned coming to the aid of a mystery woman in the 1980s, but now the ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ hitmaker has recalled how she and the Oscar-winning actress split up and chased a “huge man” while out for ice cream, even though it left her in fear of her own life.
She recalled in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres: “We get around the corner and there’s this huge man… and he’s pulling at this girl,.
“He’s like shaking this girl. Meryl just starts screaming and takes off and I start screaming and take off and think, ‘I’m going to get killed; my friend is going to kill me.’
“So we’re running and running and the guy turns around and he sees us and he starts running towards us. And then I thought, ‘we’re really gonna get killed.’ But we both split off in the opposite directions and we got to the girl. He had kind of like ripped her clothes, but she kept her purse, and that’s what he wanted.”
And Cher admitted the would-be victim was stunned when she realised who had come to her rescue.
She added: “And then, we’re like trying to fix her all up… then she looks at us and she screams and she said, ‘Oh my god I’m a singing waitress and no one’s going to believe I got mugged and saved by Meryl Streep and Cher.’ ”
Meryl, 69, spoke about the mugging last November when speaking in front of the Committee to Protect Journalists.
She said: “Someone else was being abused and I just went completely nuts and went after this man. Ask Cher – she was there. And the thug ran away, it was a miracle.”
And Cher briefly referenced the incident in a previous interview.
She said: “Meryl Streep and I saved a girl from a large mugger in New York City.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mac Miller doesn’t want to feel happy all the time.
The 26-year-old rapper insists he doesn’t want to feel “depressed” but he wants his life to always have highs and lows.
He said: “I really wouldn’t want just happiness. And I don’t want just sadness either. I don’t want to be depressed. I want to be able to have good days and bad days …
“I can’t imagine not waking up sometimes and being like, ‘I don’t feel like doing s**t.’ And then having days where you wake up and you feel on top of the world.”
The ‘Self Care’ hitmaker – who released his first album, Blue Slide Park’, when he was 19 – admitted he was convinced he was going to be the “biggest thing in the world” when he first began his career, but these days he’s happy to just be making music.
He told Vulture: “When I first started, I thought I was going to be the biggest thing in the world.
“There was this time when I was the most Googled thing on the internet. It was like ‘diet, carrots, and Mac Miller.’…
“I’m less concerned with being king of the hill [now] than being able to put s**t out.”
Mac – who previously dated Ariana Grande – admitted it can be “annoying” when people approach him in public but he understands that it’s just part of his job.
He said: “It’s annoying to be out and have someone come up to me and think they know. They’re like ‘Yo, man, are you okay?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m f***ing at the grocery store.’ You know? It’s the job. This is what I signed up for. So, you just have to not.
“You have to have your own reality and that has to be the driving force of your life. Do I wish that every single thing I did when I was 19 wasn’t a discussion? Sure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are in mediation over their custody agreement.
The ‘Just a Girl’ singer and her 52-year-old ex-husband – who have sons Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and four-year-old Apollo together – are in negotiations about the arrangement they currently have, as the Bush rocker is keen to increase his access to the boys now his tour commitments are over but the ‘Voice’ coach wants things to stay as they are.
A source told E! News: “They don’t agree on custody and the time the kids are spending with each of them.
“Gwen believes that she provides a consistent living environment and that the kids should be with her the majority of the time.
“They are older now and taking their school work and activities seriously. She thinks Gavin still very much lives a rock star lifestyle and it’s in the kids’ best interest to be with her.”
And the 48-year-old singer is said to be concerned about the ‘Swallowed’ singer’s “priorities”.
The source added: “She wants to raise the kids a certain way and it’s very challenging because Gavin has different priorities.”
After the couple split in 2015, the children have spent most of their time in Los Angeles with Gwen – who is now in a relationship with Blake Shelton – and Gavin previously admitted he found it a “challenge” having to make a new “home” for them away from what they were used to.
He said: “It was weird because I had to go and make a home from scratch that could compare to the great one they already have. That was the challenge for me as a dad.”
Meanwhile, the No Doubt frontwoman previously spoke of how well her sons get along with Blake.
She gushed: “The kids love him. We love him. Everybody loves him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariel Winter is “deeply grateful” to have met Burt Reynolds.
The ‘Modern Family’ actress has paid tribute to the “kind, loving soul” – who she recently worked with on ‘The Last Movie Star’ – and admitted she will always “love and miss” the 82-year-old screen legend, following his passing on Thursday (06.09.18).
She shared a number of photos of them together on Instagram and wrote: “The world has lost a legend today. Not only on the big screen, but also in life. Burt Reynolds was an incredible man to everybody he encountered, and I’m deeply grateful I got to spend time with him the way I did.
“They do not make them like this anymore — he was truly the last movie star. Burt was kind, a loving soul that could brighten your day with a smile, and he always cared to make sure that he asked how your day was going or cheer you up with a charming compliment.
“While today’s a sad day, Burt lived an incredibly full life and while he is no longer here physically, he’s always in our hearts and minds. I will love and miss you always, Burt.”
The 20-year-old actress previously admitted she had been “nervous” about working with the ‘Deliverance’ actor but was delighted to find he was an “amazing man” who was always nice to her.
Speaking before Burt’s sad death, she said: “Obviously I was nervous to be working with such a legend like Burt Reynolds. I mean he is really the most amazing man. He is so wonderfully sweet and just an incredibly talented actor, and really the nicest person.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee Simpson has thanked her husband Evan Ross for making “everything so fun”, as they celebrate their fourth anniversary.
The 33-year-old singer married the ‘Star’ actor – with whom she has three-year-old daughter Jagger – in 2014, and on Saturday (01.09.18), she took to social media to shower her husband with love as they marked their fourth year of marriage.
Posting a picture of the pair as they headed out to dinner, Ashlee wrote on Twitter: “Happy anniversary my love!! You make everything so fun, and beautiful!! I’m thankful for the day you walked into my life. I love you with all my heart. (sic)”
Evan, 30, also paid tribute to his wife on Twitter when he posted a professional snap of her carrying their daughter, where he stated that marrying the ‘Pieces of Me’ hitmaker – who also has son Brox, nine, with former husband Pete Wentz – has been “like a dream”.
The son of Diana Ross wrote: “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE. You are my life!!! Everyday with you is like a dream! 4 years with the love of my life!!!!!!! Obsessed with u! And thank you for this Angel Baby J. My ladies!! My loves (sic)”
The sweet words come after the pair recently revealed they have plans to expand their brood in the future, once their hectic schedules quieten down.

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law surprised ‘Harry Potter’ fans at Kings Cross Station in London on Saturday (01.09.18), as part of the “Back to Hogwarts” celebrations.
Hundreds of fans of the magical franchise flock to the London train station on September 1 each year to mark the day young witches and wizards make their way to the mythical Platform nine and three quarters to board the iconic Hogwarts Express steam train that takes them off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
And on Saturday, as fans gathered at the platform, Eddie and Jude – who star in the upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ spin off movie ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald’ – made a surprise appearance to join in the festivities.
Fans – many of whom dress up in their Hogwarts robes for the event – lined up for hours at the popular photo point to take a snap of themselves pushing a luggage trolley “through” the platform wall that whisks wizards and witches away to Platform nine and three quarters.
Whilst there are usually staff members on hand to help set up the photos, fans were shocked when they reached the front of the line to find that the staff this year were none other than Eddie and Jude themselves.
Eddie, who stars as Newt Scamander, and Jude, who plays a young Albus Dumbledore, then led the countdown to the 11am departure of the fictional steam train.
Whilst Jude, 45, is starring in the franchise for the first time in the upcoming movie, 36-year-old Eddie is reprising his role as Newt after first starring in 2016’s first instalment of the spin-off series, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald’ hits cinema screens on November 16 this year, and also stars Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindlewald.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew McConaughey doesn’t think he’s “made it” as an actor.
The 48-year-old Hollywood star might have had huge success in movies including ‘Interstellar’, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, and ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, but the actor isn’t complacent when it comes to his fame and fortune, as he says admitting he’s “made it” would make him “stagnant”.
Speaking to BW magazine, he said: “I don’t believe that, ‘Ah, I’m Matthew McConaughey. I’m 48, I’ve got a family, I’ve got a wife, I’ve got three kids, everyone’s healthy right now, I’ve got a career, I’ve won an Oscar’. It’s not like, ‘Oh, I did it’.
“There’s chapters of success and failures but there’s not a spot where you get to take a deep breath and go – ‘I’ve finally made it’. Then you become stagnant. That’s not as fun.”
Matthew – who has children Levi, 10, Vida, eight, and Livingston, five, with his wife Camilla Alves – shot to fame after starring in 1993 hit movie ‘Dazed and Confused’, and went on to win a Best Actor Oscar for his performance as AIDS patient Ron Woodroof in ‘Dallas Buyers Club’.
However, despite not thinking he’s made it as an actor, the star did recently admit his breakout role in ‘Dazed and Confused’ transformed his life.
He said: “That was the role that, at that time I didn’t know if it was going to be a hobby or something I was doing for the summer, and it turned out to be a career.
“That’s where it all started and I always look back to that one.”
Meanwhile, the ‘True Detective’ star heaped praise on his wife Camilla – whom he married in 2012 – for not wanting to change who he is.
When asked what he’s most thankful for, he said: “My life, three healthy children [and] my wife Camila who doesn’t want to change me.”

The 21-year-old model got engaged to the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker earlier this year, just one month after they rekindled their romance following a 2016 fling, and the beauty has said she can’t wait to tie the knot with the hunk.
When asked about her upcoming nuptials, she said: “I’m beyond excited.”
Being in a high profile relationship has brought Hailey her fair share of haters and criticism, but the star says she’s learned how to “ignore the negativity”, and enjoy her life despite the comments.
She told Stellar magazine: “I don’t think it’s affected me really. I have learnt to just try my best to ignore the negativity at this time so that I can enjoy this season of my life.”
Hailey and Justin, 24, are set for an extravagant bash when they walk down the aisle next year, as although they don’t want to have a big “showbiz” affair, the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker is willing to splash the cash to make the day memorable.
A source said: “Neither Justin nor Hailey want a flashy showbiz type wedding. He’s made it clear to Hailey that money is no object and whatever she wants for the big day she can have.
“He’s definitely engaged in the process and giving her feedback on things when she wants it. Hailey is absolutely loving planning the wedding.
“She’s dreamed about this moment since she was a little girl, and now all her dreams are coming true. The fact she gets to walk down the aisle with Justin is more than she ever could have hoped for.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Stamos is “crushing fatherhood”, according to his former co-star Josh Peck.
The 55-year-old actor became a father for the first time five months ago when his wife Caitlin McHugh gave birth to their son Billy, and now his former ‘Grandfathered’ co-star Josh has heaped praise on the star for being an “incredible” parent.
Josh said: “Stamos is already crushing fatherhood. No joke. Can you imagine John Stamos changing a diaper? I mean, that baby is lucky. But his son, Billy, is gorgeous and if I can get anything quite like that, I’ll be overpaid.
“He’s done this incredible, beautiful transition into being a dad. And I know that he wanted to have a kid for so long. So to watch him sort of flourish in that way has been a joy.”
The former ‘Drake and Josh’ star, 31, revealed last week he and his wife Paige O’Brien are also set to become first time parents, and has hinted he may even make John the tot’s godfather.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Josh added: “Maybe, you never know. Stamos as a godfather? Not bad. I’d want him looking out for my kid for the rest of his life.”
Josh shared the news of Paige’s pregnancy on social media last week, as he joked about having shed some weight alongside a professional picture of himself with his wife and her burgeoning bump.

OHMYGOSSIP — Declan Donnelly has become a father for the first time.
The 42-year-old television presenter – who is most famously known as part of presenting duo Ant and Dec alongside Ant McPartlin – and his wife Ali Astall have welcomed a baby daughter into the world on Saturday (01.09.18), whom they have chosen to name Isla Elizabeth Anne.
Posting a picture of Isla’s tiny hand wrapped around Dec’s finger on the official Ant and Dec Twitter account, Dec wrote: “Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D x (sic)”
And just a couple of hours later, the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star’s regular co-host also took to the account to express his joy at Isla’s birth.
Ant – who has been taking time away from the spotlight after he was convicted of drink driving earlier this year – wrote: “Welcome to the world baby Isla Elizabeth Anne. Can’t wait for cuddles. I love you already!!
“Uncle Ant xxxxx (sic)”
It wasn’t just Ant who had a congratulatory message for Dec and Ali though, as their showbiz pals Amanda Holden and Phillip Schofield were also among those to share their well wishes.

Whilst Amanda added: “Just the best news ever. And another girl in the @BGT family !! It just gets better!!! (sic)”
Dec confirmed he and Ali were expecting a baby on social media earlier this year, after the news was leaked “earlier than [they] had hoped”.
He wrote at the time: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has split from her toy boy lover Kris Boyson.
The 40-year-old television personality and the 29-year-old personal trainer had been romancing for around five months, following Katie’s split from estranged husband Kieran Hayler, but they have now revealed they’ve called time on the short lived relationship as they “both want different things”.
Kris took to his Instagram story on Saturday (01.09.18) to reveal the news as he wrote: “This wasn’t an easy decision for me to make, however @officialkatieprice and I are no longer together!
“It’s just clear we both want different things…
“Who knows what the future will bring but I wish her all the best! (sic)”
The split comes just over a month after Katie – who has 16-year-old son Harvey from a romance with Dwight Yorke, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, from her former marriage to Peter Andre, and Jett, four, and Bunny, three, with Kieran – gushed over Kris, admitting that he “ticks every box” for her and her mother Amy.
She said: “He ticks every box my mum has wanted. Because she said ‘Before I die, I want to make sure this and that’. And he ticks every box for my mum. He’s got a job, he’s got his own business. You know I have this issue about people paying for me, we had this issue so I have to let him buy me dinner. He takes me away and he’ll put me on a pedestal, and no-one’s ever done that.”
However, the ‘Katie Price: My Crazy Life’ star wouldn’t comment on whether or not she loved the personal trainer at the time.
When asked in late July if she thinks she’s in love with Kris, Katie said: “I’m not telling. Put it this way: he’s definitely come at the right time.”
Whilst neither of the pair have revealed what differences caused their split, it could be down to Kris wanting to marry and have children of his own, as Katie previously said she wasn’t in a rush to marry again.
She said: “I’m not rushing into nothing. Turning 40 means that I’ve done a lot of thinking and that I’m just doing things normal.
“So there are no babies, there’s no getting married quick, there’s no rush. I’ve got a lot to sort out in my life – my mum’s my priority with her illness, and I want to make sure the kids are in a good place because obviously a break-up affects them all.
“It’s just unfortunate that I’ve got a husband who, because we’ve separated, is causing me issues.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee and Jessica Simpson’s father Joe Simpson is “doing good” following his battle with prostate cancer.
The talent manager turned photographer began a fight for his health in September 2016 after being diagnosed with the illness, and 33-year-old singer Ashlee has now revealed her father is cancer-free and “healthy” once again.
She said: “It’s such a blessing. He’s doing good now and feeling good, I’m so happy he’s healthy now.”
Ashlee’s husband Evan Ross – with whom she shares three-year-old daughter Jagger – added that whilst the experience was “scary” for the family, they’re all happy things are looking up again now.
He added: “It was a really scary experience for Ashlee, for their whole family. So for me I was just trying to make sure I was there and paying attention to how everyone was feeling.”
Ashlee and Evan, 30, are launching their own reality show entitled ‘Ashlee + Evan’ on E! this month, which will show off the “truly authentic” side of their hectic lives.
The couple admit the show works because they both have “a good understanding of each other”, and were able to listen to one another when it came to implementing ideas into the program.
Evan told E! News: “We wanted to create something that was really, truly authentic to who we were. And so that people could really kind of get an understanding for the first time of where all of this is coming from and where the inspiration’s coming from.
“It all comes from love. I feel like we really have a good understanding of each other and we’re learning how to work with each other too.”
This week, Ashlee – who also has nine-year-old son Bronx with her former husband Pete Wentz – and Evan celebrated four years since they tied the knot in September 2014.

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams has shared a throwback post to the day her daughter was born, in honour of her first birthday.
The 36-year-old tennis star revealed recently that she and her husband Alexis Ohanian wouldn’t be celebrating their daughter Alexis Olympia’s first birthday on Saturday (01.09.18) due to their religious beliefs.
But that didn’t stop her from posting a video on her Instagram story that was taken whilst she was still pregnant, on the day she went to the hospital, where she was given an emergency C-section after her heart rate dropped dangerously low during her contractions.
In the video, Serena says: “Today is the day we are going to the hospital, but later tonight. And I’m getting induced because you didn’t come.
“We’re just getting started. This is a production.”
Earlier this week, Serena said she wouldn’t be celebrating Olympia’s first birthday, as both she and her husband are Jehovah’s Witnesses, who don’t commemorate births.
She said: “Olympia doesn’t celebrate birthdays. We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, so we don’t do that.”
The brunette beauty has been a Jehovah Witness since her mother Oracene converted to the religion in the 80s but she’s only just got more “into it.”
She said last year: “Being a Jehovah’s Witness is important to me, but I’ve never really practiced it and have been wanting to get into it.
“Alexis didn’t grow up going to any church, but he’s really receptive and even takes the lead. He puts my needs first.”
Serena regularly attends church and is convinced she wouldn’t have to success she does today in her sporting career if she didn’t believe in God.
She explained: “I am Jehovah’s Witness. If you don’t believe in God – I think if you don’t believe in God, it’s going to be tough to live life because pretty much that’s the basis of life, it comes from God.
“And so being a Jehovah’s Witness, obviously we believe in God and the bible. And without Him, I wouldn’t be here right now. I really thank him for everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow kept Chris Martin’s surname when they divorced.
The 42-year-old actress took the Coldplay frontman’s last name when they tied the knot in 2003 and has continued to be legally called Gwyneth Paltrow Martin since their 2016 divorce for the sake of their children, 14-year-old daughter Apple and 12-year-old son Moses.
She told the Sunday Mirror: “I personally – legally – did keep my last married name. My legal name is Gwyneth Paltrow Martin.
“I think in my case, because I am known out in the world as Gwyneth Paltrow, I had always kept that identity in a way. But in things related to school I am Martin. Other children call me Mrs Martin, which is kind of hilarious.
“It’s a personal choice. I don’t know – it has to be what’s right for everybody. In some cases women really want to reclaim their own name. And in some cases people want to keep their married name.”
Gwyneth and Chris, 41, split in 2014 before divorcing two years later and the actress got engaged to producer Brad Falchuk, 47, in January.

She recently explained: “Really, the question becomes how much of your ego are you willing to check at the door, and can you let go of spite – because if you can do those things, then you absolutely can have a friendly divorce. OHMYGOSSIP — Zedd has “no time” for his “beef” with Diplo.
The pair have been at loggerheads since 2015, when the latter accused the ‘Clarity’ hitmaker of having a “fake” relationship with Selena Gomez, and even described his song ‘True Colors’ as the poop emoji.
However, the 28-year-old producer says he tries not to react to Diplo’s comments to get back at him.
He told the latest issue of Q magazine: “There are two types of artists.
“Ones who like to focus on the music and keep their beef out, and ones who more or less live for drama.

Three years ago, the Major Lazer star slammed his rival’s career by claiming he’d stopped being ”cool” and that he and his label were just focused on record sales, before insisting his former romance with the ‘Fetish’ hitmaker – who he split from in April that year after just four months of dating – was manufactured to create a bigger fanbase.
Diplo fumed: “I just think that [Zedd] came from such a cool place, and now he’s been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM, which to me isn’t even a genre. But they’ve pegged him for that, they’ve marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music.”
The 29-year-old DJ – who was previously involved in an online feud with Selena’s close friend Taylor Swift – said about ‘True Colors’, in a deleted tweet:’ ‘True Colors’ is such a pile of [(expletive)].”
