OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee Simpson thinks her mother-in-law, Diana Ross, is “brilliant”.
The 33-year-old singer – who has son Bronx, nine, from her marriage to Pete Wentz and daughter Jagger, three, with husband Evan Ross – is always inspired by the Motown legend and admitted the ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ singer is a vital part of their family.
She said: “I love [Diana]. She is a brilliant mother-in-law and a great grand-mommy. ‘Omi’ the kids call her.
“She is a great mother and has also had a great career. It’s inspiring.
“When she is there, you can feel her energy, which takes you to new heights.”
Diana can be seen mentoring Evan and Ashlee in their new reality show, ‘Ashlee+Evan’ – which features them making an album together – and the couple are always happy to listen to her advice.
Evan said: “My mom has always been really involved in all the stuff I do and she was supportive of me and Ashlee making an album. She always gives great advice.
“She tells us to trust our gut. She’s also so great with melodies and storylines She loves the album and its message.”
Evan, 30, admitted his mother’s success is a lot to live up to but he hopes he makes her proud.
He said: “Growing up with a mother like that, you dream big!
“I think I’m making her proud and I try to keep doing the best I can.”
While the pair have enjoyed working on the show and the music featured within the series, they admitted it could be difficult to fit filming in around their family life.
Ashlee said: “There were moments due to scheduling where we’d have to be like, ‘Actually, as much as we want to work together to make music, one of us has to go home and see the kids.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Susannah Constantine says she is too old to be hit by the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ curse.
The 56-year-old fashion expert has been married to Sten Bertelsen for 23 years and she insists neither of them are worried about her falling for her dance partner while competing in the BBC show.
She told The Sun: “I’m far too old for my husband to worry. We’ve been married for 23 years, we’ve been through so much.”
And Susannah can’t wait to slip into ‘Strictly’s sexy costumes but she does have some reservations.
She said: “Oh you have no idea!
“But everything – the attention to detail, the way everything is cut. I mean, they are master seamstresses those women. They are absolutely incredible.
“I’m following their lead, but I have a couple of things, which is no high necklines, and I don’t want to show my arms. I’ll do anything else.”
Meanwhile, Susannah recently admitted she contemplated cheating on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ by hiring a professional dance tutor to help her get ahead of her fellow contestants.
She confessed: “I thought about hiring professional help – a big ‘Strictly’ No-No. My husband even found me a local professional dance tutor, the son of his bike mechanic, but I didn’t want to get done for cheating. In hindsight, I regret it.”
The former ‘What Not To Wear’ presenter is feeling the pressure as some of her fellow celebrity competitors – including Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts and Blue’s Lee Ryan – have past experience in dance.
She said: “Unlike me, they all seem to be natural movers.
“I’m dismayed to say that some of them are trained dancers and managed to get our first routine down pat while barely breaking sweat.”
During the lead up to ‘Strictly’, Susannah lost two stone and has set her own personal goals to fulfil.
Opening up on her aims, she said recently: “I want to prove to myself aged 56 post-menopause, that I can be fitter than ever before. In four years I am going to be 60. Before, I was thinking that life really is going to be over. Now I feel my age and so what? I have had an amazing life and you know what, no regrets.”

OHMYGOSSIP — BBC’s ‘Bodyguard’ is set to return for a second season.
The new drama – starring Richard Madden as protection officer David Budd and Keeley Hawes as Home Secretary Julia Montague – has attracted huge viewing figures and show bosses are already thinking about a second series.
Writer and creator Jed Mercurio told the Daily Mirror: “I have got some ideas for a second series, but it is worth waiting until the run is finished to see which bits worked and which bits didn’t work for the audience.
“We clearly need to be offering the audience another ‘Bodyguard’ experience if we are lucky enough to get a second series, those conversations are for the future.”
However, Jed is currently concerned with keeping viewers of season one guessing and admitted he has put in some “red herrings” to trick them.
He said: “I have put in some red herrings, you have to be able to have a number of possible answers in play and that is all about what you let the audience in on and what you keep from them.”
‘Bodyguard’ will end after six parts with a 75 minute special on September 23; the final episode has been extended by 15 minutes to ensure an explosive finale.
A source previously said: “Giving an episode of any drama series more than a 60-minute slot is a rare event on the BBC, so this proves just how much they value ‘Bodyguard’.
“Viewers are unlikely to complain, given that the audience response tends to be that they’ve usually been left wanting more every time.
“This should ensure that ‘Bodyguard’s climax is unforgettable, particularly as the tension has been continually rising over the last three episodes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher turned down the offer for Oasis to appear on the ‘Trainspotting’ soundtrack because he thought it was a film about train enthusiasts.
The 51-year-old star has revealed his iconic band were offered the chance to feature on the soundtrack of the Danny Boyle-directed movie, which explores issues such as drug addiction and poverty, but Noel decided against it because he thought it was literally about trainspotting.
He shared: “I turned down the chance to be part of the ‘Trainspotting’ soundtrack because I thought it was a movie about trainspotters.
“Oasis were on the other side of the world at the time and someone said, ‘Do you want to get involved in this new film that’s called ‘Trainspotting’?’ And I went, ‘Trainspotters? F**k that!”
Despite being one of the world’s best-known musicians, Noel doesn’t enjoy all of aspects of his success.
In particular, the British star admitted to hating taking selfies with fans and has even developed a method trying to avoid them altogether.
He told Matt Morgan in a YouTube interview: “This is a failing of mine, and I can’t help it. If I see somebody approaching me with a camera to do that thing, if I see them from a distance then I will pretend to be intimidating because I don’t want to have my picture taken.
“I just give them a look which says, ‘What the f***ing hell do you want?’ I think I am more intimidating than I am. I’m a lovely guy, really.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B and Nicki Minaj had a huge fight at a New York Fashion Week party.
The rival rappers came face to face at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons bash on Friday (07.09.18) when Cardi approached Nicki and accused her of badmouthing her and disparaging her skills as a mother.
According to TMZ, Cardi, 25, launched a shoe at Nicki, 35, before she was stopped by the rapper’s security. Footage has also appeared on social media of the incident.
An insider told PEOPLE: “The scene was f**king crazy. It was entourage against entourage.
“They had their altercation on the second-floor balcony, right above the red carpet. All of a sudden there was a big commotion and everyone didn’t know what was going on.”
The source added: “She left barefoot with her dress ripped and butt out.”
Cardi – who wore a red Dolce and Gabbana gown – was later spotted being escorted out of the event with a large bruise over her left eye.
Shortly after leaving the party, she took to Instagram to slam Nicki, saying: “I’ve let a lot of sh*t slide. I let you sneak diss me. I let you lie on me. I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat! You’ve threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop f**king with them! OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams and Ayda Field kept their new baby a secret from everyone, including their ‘X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell.
The couple recently welcomed daughter Colette ‘Coco’ Josephine Williams via surrogacy after a “long and difficult” struggle to have another baby and everyone they work with on ‘The X Factor’ was shocked when they announced the exciting news.
A show source told The Sun: “It took everyone by surprise. Nobody could quite believe it. Even Simon Cowell didn’t know.
“We’ve seen lots of Robbie and Ayda lately. They have been on great form on the judging panel. The fact they were going through so much behind the scenes has come absolutely out of nowhere.
“But obviously everybody here is delighted for them and we look forward to seeing them again at the next stage of filming.”
Ayda announced the new arrival on Instagram, sharing a picture of their hands and those of their children, Coco, Theodora, five, and Charlton, three.
Ayda wrote: “I spy with my little eye an extra little hand … So we have been keeping a very special secret! We are delighted to share with you that we have had a baby girl….welcome to the world Colette (Coco) Josephine Williams!!
“It has been a very long and difficult path to get here, which is why we have kept it on the down low. Family comes in all forms, and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate mother, to whom we will be eternally grateful. OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have blocked comments on their Instagram accounts after vile trolls blamed them for Mac Miller’s death.
Ariana’s former boyfriend Miller – who she split up from in May just before she got engaged to Pete – died on Friday (07.09.18) from a suspected overdose and the 25-year-old star was forced to turn off comments on her Instagram account when fans left nasty messages including “This is your fault” and “You did this to him”.
Pete, 24, also wiped all pictures from his account.
While fans have hit out at Ariana over Mac’s death; the star had been open about his 10-year battle with addiction, which began before he ever met Ariana.
He previously said: “I love lean; it’s great. I was not happy and I was on lean very heavy. I was so f**ked up all the time it was bad. My friends couldn’t even look at me the same. I was lost.”
Ariana was also blamed for Mac’s car crash less than a week after their break-up, when he fled the scene after wrecking his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
However, she hit back, insisting she was not his babysitter.
One fan wrote: “Mac Miller totally his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood.”
And Ariana hit back, saying: “How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which btw isn’t the case (only Cinderella is ab me).
“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his sh** together is a very major problem.
“Let’s please stop doing that. of course i didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was. i will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well (sic).”
Miller – whose real name is Malcolm McCormick – dated Ariana Grande for nearly two years, before they split in May and she is said to be devastated by Miller’s death.
A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Although the two ended their relationship, Ariana always shared a deep connection with Mac and wanted nothing but the best for him. Ariana is very upset.”
Another source said: “Despite their split, Ariana had always been supportive of his sobriety.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B says the women who allege her crew attacked them are just seeking publicity.
In August, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper was accused of ordering her entourage to attack sisters Jade and Baddie Gi at Angels Strip Club in New York and, according to TMZ, she has denied the accusations and labelled the pair “clout chasers”.
Cardi and her husband Offset have also rubbished speculation that he cheated on her with Jade, who works as a bartender at the club with her sister.
Jade previously claimed that on August 15, five people close to Cardi attacked her by “grabbing her hair, punching her and hitting her with an ashtray”.
And on August 29, the sisters claimed Cardi’s entourage threw bottles and chairs at them both.
While they admit Cardi did not physically attack them, they have claimed that she yelled “I’m blood I’ll f**k you bitches up!”
The pair have hired lawyer Joe Tacopina, who has said they are considering filing a lawsuit against Cardi.
Meanwhile, Cardi has taken to Instagram to lash out at Nicki Minaj, after the pair were involved in an altercation at a New York Fashion Week party this weekend.

The BBC newsreader is married to Mike Heron and instead of fearing the ‘Strictly’ curse – where celebrities fall for their dance partner, Kate admitted the show has done wonders for her marriage.
Kate told the Daily Mirror: “He’s upping his game. Never mind the Strictly curse, this is marriage magic. I’m getting texts going, ‘You looked really hot this morning, babe’.”
And she admitted that hunky new Italian dancer Graziano Di Prima, 24, could be one of the reasons her husband has been extra affectionate.
Kate, 48 – who has six-year-old daughter, Clemency, and four-year-old son, Wilbur with Mike – said: “When I came home on the first day after the group dance, Mike went, ‘So, who were you dancing with today?’ And I went, ‘Oh, you know, that new one, the Italian’ – as if he didn’t know because I’d been going, ‘Oh, look at him!’ I just saw a little flicker.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Osborne’s mother is desperate for him to save his marriage to Jacqueline Jossa.
The disgraced ‘TOWIE’ star – who was sacked from the show after threatening messages he made to his ex Megan Tomlin surfaced – and the former ‘EastEnders’ actress separated in April amid claims he had cheated on her with Gabby Allen.
Both Gabby and Dan, 27, denied the claims and Dan’s mother Toni hopes he and Jacqueline – who reconciled before he entered the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – will stay together.
She told The Sun: “What I would really love to see is for Dan to get back together with Jacqueline – I would absolutely love it. They make such a good couple and are really good parents. I hope they have another one day.”

The 20-year-old actress stars as wannabe popstar Violet in ‘Teen Spirit’, the directorial debut from Max Minghella, and she turned to her idols for inspiration.
She said: “I watched videos of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift as a part of my homework. They have that ‘it’ factor. They’re polished. It’s a machine. So I studied their mannerisms. And I am a [pop] fan — my first concert was Gwen Stefani in Budapest when I was nine.
“For the end performance, I was almost thinking Kanye West. Not that I’m saying I was like him! But I wanted to add a little hip-hop to Violet, because she’s rougher. That’s why she wins the competition, because she has edge. And pop stars all have that edge.
“I was also thinking about Rihanna. I saw her in concert for my 13th birthday, and that performance and the way she moved [inspired me]. The last performance isn’t choreographed, but I was thinking ‘How would Rihanna do this?'”
Elle also called her director Max a “pop music w***e” and praised his obsession with the genre.
She said: “He’s a pop-music w***e, basically. He loves pop music. I think he drew inspiration to write this from High School Musical. He’s like, ‘I know this is not highbrow exactly, but it’s very enjoyable and the songs are good.’ And it’s true.
“He lived with the script for such a long time that he has every shot in his head and he is very particular. He’s someone that he would be listening to his headphones, listening to the music of a take, timing the camera movements out to the music.
“The best directors create an environment that’s conducive for the artists to work, and Max is just so collaborative. He knew that sometimes I was still possibly unsure, and that I needed that support with the singing, and just very sensitive to that and everyone’s moods.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Reed changed her approach to health and wellness after falling pregnant.
The 30-year-old actress – who has her 13-month-old daughter Bodhi with her husband Ian Somerhalder – decided to adapt her diet after discovering she was expecting her little girl.
She said: “Suddenly I was thinking about the health and wellness of another human being sharing my body, and I wanted to create the best home in there for her as possible. I remember reading labels on products that I used regularly that said ‘not safe for pregnant women,’ and thinking, ‘That’s strange, I wonder why it isn’t safe for me now that I’m expecting? What is it in these products that would be deemed okay for me a few months ago, and now they’re off limits?'”
And Nikki felt and looked like a “totally different person” after changing her diet.
She added: “I looked like a totally different person. It’s amazing what a little inflammation due to unhealthy living can do to the bridge of your nose, or your pores, or your teeth. I have even read false things about myself like that I had a nose job, or veneers. Funny enough, I haven’t done a single thing to my face, except changed my lifestyle and reduced my chemical intake.”
The brunette beauty now has a new found appreciation for how what we eat and put on our skin affects our bodies.
She told People magazine: “What people don’t realise is that it’s all connected. What you put in your body affects not just your insides, but [also] your outsides and your mind. And inversely, what you put on your body affects your insides as well.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lindsay Lohan wants to launch her own island resort called ‘Lindsayland’.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star reportedly posted then deleted plans for an island resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates after enjoying it there during a recent trip.
Lindsay uploaded a picture of a “prototype” complex and has dubbed the project as “Lindsayland” and “Lohan Island Dubai”.
The image is thought to be plans for “Jasmine Garden”, where a group of islands were created to look like a map from a birds eye view.
Meanwhile, Lindsay previously started charging fans who wanted a behind-the-scenes look at her life, teaming up with Preemium, a website and app that gives fans “access to exclusive content and behind the scene footage from the people that inspire you”. She charges just under $4 a month to allow her fans access to a string of new pictures and videos, which show off her day-to-day life as well as parts of her job including the photoshoots she does, her charity work and behind-the-scenes as she films for her new television series.
She said: “I’m always looking for new ways to connect with my fans and give them something that has not been available before, things that wouldn’t go on Instagram or Facebook. I wanted a place to really express myself to the people who care most and that’s what this is about.”
Her Preemium profile promises “personal diaries, video updates, exclusive personal photos, fashion and beauty tutorials, shopping guides, behind-the-scenes content, my favourite products and much more”.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend says Kanye West is “serious” about his presidential bid.
The ‘All Of Me’ hitmaker is convinced his pal wants to run for head of the White House after being inspired by current U.S. President Donald Trump.
He told The Sun newspaper: “He’s said it multiple times. Yeah, I think he’s serious. I’d guess he’d run as an independent, but he’s never told me anything about what party he would run from. But he’s said multiple times that he’s interested in running for president. And I think that’s part of why he likes [current U.S. President Donald] Trump is because I think he sees some aspects of himself in Trump and sees that Trump winning makes it feel like he could do it too.”
Meanwhile, Kanye previously insisted he would be an “extremely thoughtful” president.
He said: “As soon as I said that, it was like, ‘Wait a second, we would be really into that, because actually if you think about it, he’s extremely thoughtful. Every time he’s gotten in trouble, he was really jumping in front of a bullet for someone else. He’s probably the most honest celebrity that we have.’

OHMYGOSSIP — G-Eazy broke down as he paid tribute to Mac Miller on Friday night (07.09.18).
The rapper dedicated his song ‘Everything Will Be OK’ to his friend – who passed away at the age of 26 from an apparent overdose – as he performed a gig at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Florida.
A photo of Mac was projected onto the screen behind him, with the rapper telling the crowd: “I swear, life is so f***ing fragile. Appreciate the moment. Be present in it. Tell people you love you care about them.”
Since his tragic death, tributes have flooded in for Mac, with Chance the Rapper remembering his good friend.
He wrote on Twitter: “I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him. (sic)”
Earlier this week, Mac spoke candidly about dealing with the pressures of fame.
Reflecting on the stresses of success, he said: “There’s pressure. A lot of times in my life I’ve put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived. It’s the job. This is what I signed up for. So, you just have to not. You have to have your own reality and that has to be the driving force of your life. OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas “just knew it was right” with Priyanka Chopra.
The 25-year-old singer couldn’t believe how “immediately” he fell for the ‘Baywatch’ actress and they are “very happy” together.
He said: “Our lives were kind of taking us in different places. People thought we were being coy, and so did we until we cut to now [and] we’re engaged. So, the story sort of wrote itself … It was kind of immediate, and I think we just knew it was right and jumped right in. And we’re very happy.”
And the ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ star says it was “really special” throwing an engagement party in Priyanka’s native Mumbai.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he added: “It was really special. Speculation mounted about an engagement after director Ali Abbas Zafar announced Priyanka was leaving the Indian film ‘Bharat’ and hinted that Nick had something to do with the decision.
He tweeted: “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her … Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life (sic).”
