OHMYGOSSIP — Alexis Ohanian says Serena Williams is the “most inspiring person he knows”.
The Reddit co-founder has paid tribute to his wife for “fighting for her life” and praised her “passion” and how she “never gives up”.
Sharing a video tribute to Serena, he captioned it: “She fought for her life, for our child, for recognition, for equal pay, for women’s rights. She never gives up. She’s passionate and unrelenting and the most inspiring person I know.”
Meanwhile, Serena previously confessed she is still seeking the perfect work-life balance as she brings up her daughter Alexis Olympia.
She explained: “It’s hard. It’s not easy being a working mom, but that’s what we do. Women are strong and we are continuing to be, so I’m really proud of that … I think there is. The thing is, you just have to find it. I’m not sure if I’ve found it yet, but I’m getting there. I’m finding my personal work-life balance.
“When I missed Olympia’s walking, I posted about it and so many parents wrote in and said, ‘Don’t worry about it, I missed it too.’ I didn’t realise that it’s almost more normal to miss it than it is to make it. So I really kind of rely on everyone’s help out there. It’s been so, so amazing.”
However, motherhood hasn’t been easy for Serena and she confessed she cried every time her daughter did in the early stages.
She shared: “It’s tough in the beginning. The baby’s crying all the time and you don’t know why – you don’t know if it’s gas, you don’t know if she’s sick, you don’t know if it’s just colic. So I just started crying with her because I couldn’t help her and I wanted to help her and I couldn’t, so I just started crying.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B left the New York Fashion Week party with a ripped dress after an altercation with Nicki Minaj.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker was involved in a scuffle with the ‘Superbass’ rapper at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party on Friday (07.09.18) when Cardi approached Nicki and accused her of badmouthing her and disparaging her skills as a mother. Cardi, 25, reportedly launched a shoe at Nicki, 35, before she was stopped by the rapper’s security and later, she was seen leaving the venue barefoot and with a ripped dress.
An insider said: “The scene was f**king crazy. It was entourage against entourage. They had their altercation on the second-floor balcony, right above the red carpet. All of a sudden there was a big commotion and everyone didn’t know what was going on.”
Cardi – who wore a red Dolce and Gabbana gown – took to Instagram to slam Nicki, saying: “I’ve let a lot of sh*t slide. I let you sneak diss me. I let you lie on me. I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat! You’ve threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop f**king with them! OHMYGOSSIP — Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson had a dance battle when they first met.
The ‘Hunger Games’ star has revealed the pair tried to show each other they were the better dancer on the night they first met.
She said: “We met at my friend’s birthday party. Evan walked in and he was really cute, and I was like, ‘Who’s this Mr. Cool Pants?'”
In a sneak peek clip of their new reality television series ‘Ashlee + Evan’, he added: “You tried to dance with me. You were, like, lifting your leg up and stuff, trying to show me that you dance better than me, I think.
“We dry-humped a little bit. That was the best dry-humping I’ve ever done in my life. I put my best work in.”
Meanwhile, the couple recently insisted having cameras in their home wouldn’t put a strain on their marriage.
Evan said recently: “I think in any relationship in this industry, there’s a stress on relationships. I think that’s reality, but in no way do I think that if a relationship is meant to be together and a marriage is meant to be together, that anything like a show or being in this industry can change that. I don’t think any fear is coming from our relationship, which is a good thing.”

The 52-year-old singer songwriter believes “lots of different things” make a woman beautiful including “power, confidence and happiness”.
Asked what she thinks makes a woman beautiful, she said: “Lots of different things. It’s vulnerability. It’s power. It’s confidence. It’s happiness. It’s seeing the goodness in the soul. It’s spirituality. It’s being selfless and what you do for others before doing for yourself.”
And the ‘Together Again’ singer is more confident about her body now than she has ever felt before.
She added to InStyle magazine: “I would have to say my body. A lot of it has to do with experience, getting older. Understanding, realizing that there isn’t just one thing that is considered beautiful. Beautiful comes in all shapes, sizes, and colours.”
Meanwhile, Janet previously opened up about her “intense” battle with depression.
She shared: “I struggled with depression. The struggle was intense. Low self-esteem might be rooted in childhood feelings of inferiority. It could relate to failing to meet impossibly high standards. OHMYGOSSIP — Eyewitnesses thought Cardi B and Nicki Minaj “might hug it out” before they started fighting at New York Fashion Week.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has broken her silence following Mac Miller’s death.
The ‘no tears left to cry’ hitmaker took to Instagram on Saturday (08.09.18) to pay tribute to her ex-boyfriend, who passed away after a suspected overdose on Friday (07.09.18).
Taking to the photo sharing site, she simply posted a candid picture of Mac.
Ariana has continued to block comments on her Instagram account after vile trolls blamed her for Mac’s death, with fans leaving nasty messages including “This is your fault” and “You did this to him”.
Ariana was also previously blamed for Mac’s car crash less than a week after their break-up, when he fled the scene after wrecking his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. However, she hit back, insisting she was not his babysitter.
One fan wrote: “Mac Miller totally his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner likes her action roles to be “grounded in emotion”.
The 46-year-old actress decided to make a return to action movies for her new film ‘Peppermint’ and was inspired to do so because she found it “really satisfying” seeing her character get revenge.
She said: “To me, if you’re going to do an action movie, it has to be grounded in emotion. And the emotion, whatever happens, has to be strong enough that it makes you just – you have no choice to fight, you have no choice to pick up a weapon. This was an expression of that mom rage. It’s a fantasy, it’s obviously not how everyone should live. Greek tragedy – there’s something really satisfying about watching somebody take control of a situation and have some revenge.”
‘Peppermint’ follows the story of Riley North (Garner) who seeks revenge after her husband and daughter die in a brutal attack. And when the justice system doesn’t seem to be handing out to the murderers what she thinks they deserve, she takes it upon herself to seek revenge.
Jennifer took a back seat from action roles for a while to be with her family.
Asked why she shelved action movies for a while, she added: “I was having babies and they don’t really go together. It’s really hard. I did ‘Kingdom’ when I had a little baby and it’s tricky on your body. My kids are all at school now, I have the time to train, so it’s much more about schedule and things like that.”
And Jennifer feels “so lucky” to not be typecast into any specific role.
She told Collider.com: “I feel so lucky. I do big movies, little movies, action movies, drama movies, comedies. I feel lucky that that hasn’t happened.”

The ‘This Is America’ hitmaker – whose real name is Donald Glover Jr. – told fans who attended his show in Atlanta earlier this week that this tour would mark his last set of shows.
He told the crowd: “If you’re at this show know that it’s the last Gambino tour ever. This is not a concert. This is f***ing church.”
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old actor and singer previously confessed he avoided the internet after the release of ‘This Is America’.
He explained: “Some friends have sent a couple [of the pieces], but, for real, I haven’t been on the Internet since [it came out]. It’s bad for me. I’m really sensitive. I see one negative thing, and I track that person down. I go to their Instagram and be like, ‘You’re not so great. That baby’s not even that cute!'”

The 46-year-old actress – who has Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and six-year-old Samuel with ex-husband Ben Affleck – bonds with her kids by sleeping out under the stars and cooking food on an open fire.
She told OK! magazine: “I’m a big backyard camper. My kids and I camp in the backyard every year. We just spoke this morning about when we’re going to do it.
“The only thing that matters is s’mores. Make whatever you want – hamburgers, eggs over the fire – but s’mores are all they’ll remember. I like camping with a group of girlfriends too.”
When she isn’t working, Jennifer loves nothing more than reading to her children.
Asked when she feels her best, she said: “Oh, I don’t know, at home with the kids. Reading to my kids at night is probably my favourite… The thing that defines me most.”
She also enjoys watching baking competition ‘The Great British Bake Off’ with her brood.
She said: “I love the ‘Great British Bake Off’ because they are so kind and supportive of each other.
“That’s one I watch with my girls at night. I also go hard down sitcom alley, because I just like watching something funny.”
The brunette beauty has recently been working on a comedy series of her own, ‘Camping’, alongside David Tennant and the lighthearted project spilled over into her home life.
She explained: “I felt light and happy. It was a light, happy experience and it did bleed over. It’s good to go and laugh for 12 hours a day. I felt ready for it.”

The ‘Before He Cheats’ singer – who has three-year-old Isaiah with husband Mike Fisher and is pregnant with their second child – adores her “fearless” and fun little boy, but admitted he’s learned to play on her emotions with “fake crying”.
She told HELLO! magazine: “He adores music. He loves the songs from his favourite cartoons so when Mike and I are in the car with him, we have to listen to them on a loop.
“Isaiah climbs over everything, runs everywhere and is fearless. And if there’s a pool, he jumps into it.
“He loves animals, painting, getting dirty and making a mess. He’s a dirty, awesome little boy – and good at fake crying.”
Carrie, 35, admitted being a parent has changes her outlook on life and interactions with other people.
She explained: “Babies change the way you look at the world. I was never one to want to run over and hold someone’s baby but now I feel empathy for them.”
Though the ‘Cry Pretty’ hitmaker and her husband are keen to have a big family, they’ve accepted that may not happen for them.
Carrie said: “There are things in this world that you can control but there are also things that you can’t.
“Mike would like four children yet the thing we’ve learnt is that it’s not up to us. We definitely believe God’s timing is much better than our own.”
Earlier this year, Carrie suffered a broken wrist and had 50 stitches to her face when she fell while walking her dogs but she’s almost back to herself now.
She said: “I’m getting better and feeling more like myself, but have been left with a few reminders. We all have things we deal with and try to get through.”

The ‘World is Not Enough’ actress – who has daughters Sam, 14, and Lola,13, with first husband Charlie Sheen, as well as seven-year-old Eloise, who she adopted alone – tied the knot wirth Aaron Phypers in an intimate ceremony in Malibu on Saturday (08.09.18), just two days after their engagement was made public.
A source close to Denise and Aaron – who was previously married to Nicollette Sheridan – told People magazine: “Denise and Aaron just want a small group of people to be at the wedding, really just their inner circle.
“They’ve both done this before and this time just want to exchange vows in front of the people who are most important.”
The blonde beauty wore a short dress with a long train and her three daughters were bridesmaids at the small ceremony, while guests included Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O’Connell, as well as Denise’s new ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ co-stars including Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd, and Camille Grammer and her fiance David Meyer.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tiffany Haddish has won her first ever Emmy Award.
The ‘Girls Trip’ actress scooped Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ – the first black female stand-up comic to take the helm in the show’s history – at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, beating out former ‘SNL’ stars Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph and Tina Fey to take the accolade, but wasn’t at the ceremony to pick up her statuette.
‘Game of Thrones’ was the big winner at the first night of the awards, picking up seven accolades including Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes and Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Series Or Movie.
‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ picked up four awards, while ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, ‘Atlanta’, The Crown’, ‘USS Callister: Black Mirror’ – which was a surprise winner of the TV Movie category – ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and ‘Westworld’ all took three.
‘Westworld’ co-creator Jonathan Nolan joked about ‘Game of Thrones’ success when he picked up the Interactive Media Within a Scripted Programme award, thanking the fantasy drama’s showrunners D.B Weiss and David Benioff for “wrapping up so the rest of us can win some f***ing Emmys.”
Other notable wins included two for James Corden, whose ‘James Corden’s Next James Corden’ bagged Short-Form Comedy or Drama Series and Actor in a Short-Form Comedy or Drama Series, and ‘This Is Us’ actor and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ actress Samira Wiley, who took the Guest Actor and Actress in a Drama Series honours respectively.
Both stars were nominated for the same roles last year.
After six nominations, ‘St Elsewhere’ star Christina Pickles picked up Actress in a Short-Form Comedy or Drama Series for her Vimeo series ‘Break a Hip’.
She quipped: “I’ve tried so many times to win an Emmy, so this is great.”
The Governors Award was presented by Bill Nye to ‘Star Trek’, on the 52nd anniversary of the show’s original premiere, with over 100 crew members from all six series in attendance, as well as cast members including William Shatner, LeVar Burton, and Walter Koenig and Sonequa Martin-Green.
Bill said: “‘Star Trek’ changed the world for the better.”
The first part of the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out on Saturday (08.09.18) at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, with more to come from the same venue on Sunday (09.09.18).
A telecast of the awards will broadcast on September 15, two days before the Primetime Emmy Awards – which will be co-hosted by Colin Jost and Michael Che – take place.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hardeep Singh Kohli accused Sally Morgan of racism before his eviction from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The 49-year-old presenter was left upset when the housmates decided to make a mini movie about doctors and patients when the psychic told him he was looking “too brown” and suggested putting talc on his face to make him look ill.
Hardeep – who was evicted on Friday (07.09.18) – left the room and told Dan Osborne he felt the comments had been “borderline racist”, causing Sally to cry when she joined the discussion.
In scenes aired on Saturday (08.09.18), she said: “I have never, ever said anything racist. You implied it. I’m not going mad. I’m not having it. And then you come back and apologise like you don’t know what you’ve done to me.
“It’s absolutely dreadful why are you doing it to me? I have not got a racist bone in my body and you’ve implied it. I can’t have it. You can’t do it, I won’t allow it.”
The former ‘One Show’ presenter replied: “Fine, I owe you an apology it was ill-judged.”
Sally later visited the diary room and accused her housemate of “picking on” her.
She said: “He can’t accuse me of that. He’s picking on me. It’s just not right. I’ve tried so hard with this man and it’s almost as if, when he’s apologising, he’s saying I don’t understand racism.
“How dare he? I may not have a degree but I know what racism is.”
The row came a day after Sally had offended Hardeep by forgetting what his turban was called and asking to use it for bandages.

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Benson has died.
The ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Blackadder’ actor passed away on Thursday (06.09.18) at the age of 75 following a short illness, his manager has announced.
Peter – who most recently appeared in two episodes of ‘Casualty’ – was best known for playing funeral director Bernie Scripps in all 18 series of ‘Heartbeat’ from 1992 and a number of his former co-stars have paid tribute to him.
Steven Blakeley, who played PC Geoff Younger, tweeted: “Farewell Peter Benson. You made me laugh so much. There’ll never be another like you – talented,kind&gentle in equal measure. Bless you&rest well sir.(sic)”
And Lisa Kay, who was Emma Bryden, praised the “total gentleman”.
She tweeted: “He was always a total gentleman and great fun to work with. He was dearly loved and shall be missed terribly by his Heartbeat family.”
Fiona Dolman, who was solicitor Jackie Bradley in the 1960s-set drama, paid tribute to the “kind, funny, brilliant, gentle and deliciously sarcastic” man.
She posted: “What sad news. Peter Benson was one of the best. Kind, funny, brilliant, gentle and deliciously sarcastic. He was an absolute joy to work with and will be missed by so many. [broken heart emoji]”
As well as his TV work, Peter – who played Henry VII in ‘Blackadder’- was also a singer, dancer, and theatre actor.

OHMYGOSSIP — Corin Hardy thinks audiences are becoming “very sophisticated to horror stories”.
The ‘Nun’ director enjoyed putting jump-scares in his new horror movie but thinks filmmakers need to come up with new ways of keeping the “audience off balance”.
He said: “That’s just what you’re trying to do is keep the audience off balance. Everyone’s become very sophisticated to horror stories. And you see, it’s very hard to just try and keep someone unsure of what’s about to happen next. In a story, and in a lead up to a scare, for me, it’s a balance of trying to just keep an overall tension within the story and piece, regardless of whether the scares are going to jump out at you.
“Whether that kind of the overall atmosphere just is feeling more and more ominous. It helps that, if you’re feeling on edge and you’re starting to grip the seats and get sweaty, and you don’t know whether there’s going to be a scare or if something’s going to come out of the shadows. And then also, it’s nice to not do that so that they don’t know. Oh God, I thought something was. And something comes from another place.”
And the 43-year-old film director “had a supernatural experience” whilst filming the movie.
He told ScreenRant: “I had a supernatural experience … I had a run in with a couple of, what I assume were, Romanian ghosts. For real in the Mogoșoaia fortress where we were filming the corridor of crosses sequence … I was based inside a room off the corridor in the darkness, a sealed room. As I went into the room, I saw a couple of guys I thought was sound guys, and it was very dark, low light. I said hello to them. And then I proceeded to watch the sequence that we were shooting …
“And then when I finally got the shot I was quite elated, punched the air. And I turned around to see if these two guys had seen the take and there was no one there. No one sitting in the room. No way in our out. And it was a moment which I can only explain genuinely as being some Romanian ghosts.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Chan wants to play “history’s losers”.
The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress feels more “responsible” about the roles she chooses now and wants to find stories that have previously been untold.
She said: “History is written by the winners, but I’m interested in history’s losers, finding those stories and helping to tell them.”
And Gemma admitted there has always been a part of her that wanted to be “part of a change” that brought more Asian faces to mainstream film and TV.
Asked if she’s always been political in her work, she told Sunday Times Culture magazine: “I mean, probably in the back of my mind, on a subconscious level. Growing up, I didn’t see any Asians on TV, and there probably was a part of me that said, I want to be part of a change. But I didn’t know that it would be possible or how it might happen.”
The 35-year-old star hopes ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ heralds a big change as it’s one of the first American films to have a predominantly Asian cast in more than two decades.
She said: “That’s the difference, for me. It’s a film made by mainstream Hollywood, so that’s exciting. Hopefully it’s the start of something — rather than having to wait another 25 years.”
And Gemma thinks the film was “great” because it’s broken stereotypes.
She said: “It’s fun seeing Asians in an aspirational way. Asian men have been emasculated on screen for so long — never the romantic lead, always the sidekick or a stereotypical, probably quite demeaning role. So how great that we have sexy Asian men in it!”
The ‘Humans’ actress appreciated the fact producers cast Chinese, Singaporeans, Malaysians, Americans, Australians and Brits in the movie.
She said: “It just brought home the fact that Asian culture is not homogeneous. I’m so used to being not just the only Asian, but the only person of colour on set. Loads of us said this.”
