Victoria Beckham’s family are priority

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham insists on “always being home for dinner”.
The 44-year-old singer-turned-fashion designer – who has children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and seven-year-old Harper with husband David Beckham – may run a huge business empire, but she insists her family always comes first.
She said: “[I try as much as possible to] spend a lot of time with David and the children, being the best mum and best wife I can be.
“[I insist on] always being home for dinner.”
And the former Spice Girls star gets up “really early” to ensure she can fit everything into her busy day.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I go to the gym for a couple of hours before the kids get up. Then I’m in the kitchen with David, getting them ready, finishing up any last bits of homework.
“We take it in turns to do the school run, then I’m in the studio everyday, five days a week.”
Victoria recently wore her Vera Wang wedding gown in a funny video to promote her British Vogue cover and she admitted it was “really nice” to get back into the iconic dress.
She said: “It’s such a beautiful dress. I have to say, it was really nice putting it back on.”
Meanwhile, Victoria recently admitted she and her family have got used to “ignoring” speculation about them.
She said: “People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years, so David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal. But these things have a wider effect on the people around us, and that’s unfair … We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals. Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It’s all about the family unit. We are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals. We respect that family bond and that is key.”

Jennifer Garner ‘is a chicken’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner was too “chicken” to meet fans who watched her new movie.
The 46-year-old actress bought tickets to a Los Angeles screening of ‘Peppermint’ – in which she plays a woman looking for justice after her husband and daughter are killed in a drive-by shooting – but she worried fellow cinemagoers would think she was “obsessed with herself” by watching herself on the big screen and admitted the experience felt very awkward.
She shared a video to Instagram and wrote: “The studio encouraged me to go to the theater and see #PEPPERMINTmovie with an audience– maybe they thought I would conduct exit polls?
“But I learned something about myself on this experiment– I am a chicken.
“Thank you to everyone who spent their weekend and their hard earned money with #RileyNorth and me. If you go this week– you never know– I may be lurking behind a curtain at a theater near you. (sic)”
In the video, Jennifer suggested it was an experience she wasn’t likely to repeat.
She said: “I’ve never done this before, and now I know why.”
She could also be seen hiding behind a pillar and trying to shield her face with her tickets.
She admitted: “Hi. I’m in a movie theater and I have a movie out and I have to be here with my fans.
“I’m afraid people are gonna hate the movie and take pity on me, see me and think I’m just obsessed with myself. Nonetheless, I have tickets.(sic)”
But despite her concerns, one fan approached Jennifer and shook her hand, praising the film as “amazing”.
The former ‘Alias’ star – who has children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six, with ex-husband Ben Affleck – then whispered “Is it over?” to the camera before running to hide in a dark hallway as people left the cinera.
She then whispered: “Did they like it?”

Iggy Pop gives his house to wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Pop has signed his house over to his wife.
The ‘Lust for Life’ singer bought a five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion in Miami for $4.1 million in 2016 and in July this year, Iggy transferred the property from his trust to him and his third spouse Nina Alu individually, before then transferring the deed from him to her for her sole ownership.
In documents obtained by The Blast, there is no reason given for why he handed over the abode.
The property is located in the exclusive Coconut Grove gated community and features 20ft ceilings in the entryway, black limestone floors, a library and a huge outdoor entertainment pavilion, which has a separate barbecue area overlooking a pool and a canal.
The change in ownership came a month after Iggy – who married Nina in 2008 – sold off another of his Florida houses.
He bought the three-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom property in Palmetto Bay in 2006 for $1.46 million but took a loss with the sale in June as it went for $1.225 million.
The 5,356 sq ft house sat on over an acre of land and boasts a private tennis court, waterfall, aviary, library with built-in wood shelves, wood wine cellar, pool and spa, barbecue and wine cooler.
The 71-year-old rocker – whose real name is James Newell OSterberg Jr. – was previously married to Wendy Weissberg but had their union annulled after several weeks in 1968 and later to Suchi Asano from 1984 to 1999.
He has a son, Eric, 48, with former partner Paulette Benson.

Jennifer Garner goes undercover to attend Peppermint screening

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner has gone undercover to attend a screening of her new movie ‘Peppermint’.
The 46-year-old actress stars as a mother whose husband and daughter are killed in a drive-by shooting in the new action film, and Jennifer has revealed she recently attended a cinema in Los Angeles, where she sat alongside regular moviegoers.
Jennifer documented the experience on her Instagram account, captioning a video: “The studio encouraged me to go to the theater and see #PEPPERMINTmovie with an audience– maybe they thought I would conduct exit polls? But I learned something about myself on this experiment– I am a chicken. Thank you to everyone who spent their weekend and their hard earned money with #RileyNorth and me. [love heart emoji] If you go this week– you never know– I may be lurking behind a curtain at a theater near you. (sic)”
Earlier this month, Jennifer revealed she embraced “mom rage” for her latest role.
The 46-year-old actress – who has kids Violet , 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six, with ex-husband Ben Affleck – plays a vengeful mother in ‘Peppermint’, and Jennifer admitted she relied on some aspects of her real-life self for the role.
She explained: “There’s something about making this movie that plays out every bit of mom rage you’ve ever had on the playground or every bit of mom rage you’ve ever had, like, when your child is put in the back of a class and you feel they should be in the front. Or their feelings are hurt.”

Alex Winter says Hollywood ‘turned its nose up’ at Bill and Ted

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Winter admits “Hollywood has turned its nose up” at a third ‘Bill & Ted’ movie.
The 53-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Bill S. Preston, Esq in the upcoming third film in the comedy franchise, but he’s admitted that the concept for the movie has underwhelmed some Hollywood film studios.
He explained: “We’re in the pre-production on a third film. Chris [Matheson] and Ed [Solomon] wrote it in exactly the same style as the first two, but we’ve had the same response we had to the first two: mainstream Hollywood has turned its nose up, and the studios were like: ‘This is weird.’ We said: ‘Correct, it’s a Bill & Ted movie.'”
Despite the scepticism surrounding the film, the comedy series has already defied expectations.
And Alex has admitted that the first movie, ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’, transformed his life.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, he recalled: “I was in Austin the weekend the movie opened and walked into a diner to get change, and the whole place went crazy.
“It’s been like that for 30 years now. I get it every day, from all ages. Maybe it’s because Bill and Ted are written completely without cynicism.”
Alex stars in the movies alongside Keanu Reeves, but in reality, he never even expected to be handed the role.
He said: “I met Keanu in my first audition to play Bill. Neither of us thought we would end up actually making the film. You don’t get 90 percent of the jobs you audition for as a young actor, so we just enjoyed hanging out.
“We clicked over a couple of superficial things: we both showed up on motorbikes, we both played bass. And we were both from artsy, European, quasi-intellectual families.
“Because of our theatre backgrounds, we approached the characters in the same way. At that time, everything was ‘method’ in terms of the sincerity with which you’d look at your character.
“We were both marrying a clownish-type theatricality with this sincere take. We tried to find the distinctions between them. There’s more of a floppiness to Ted, whereas Bill is making more of a concerted effort to attack the world – but he’s failing completely.”

Lady Gaga was ‘instantly’ convinced by Bradley Cooper’s singing

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga “knew instantly” that Bradley Cooper could play a musician in ‘A Star Is Born’.
The 32-year-old singer appears alongside Bradley in the new musical romantic drama, and Gaga has revealed she was quickly convinced of the Hollywood actor’s singing credentials.
Recalling how he pitched the idea of making the movie to Gaga, Bradley – who also directed the film – explained: “She was kind of laughing at me that I would be suggesting this, but I said, ‘The truth is, it’s only going to work if we can sing together.’ And she said, ‘Well, what song?’ And I said, ‘Midnight Special’.”
Gaga explained: “I printed out the sheet music, and he had the lyrics on his phone, and I sat down at the piano and started to play, and then Bradley started to sing and I stopped: ‘Oh, my God, Bradley, you have a tremendous voice.'”
Although Bradley wasn’t previously known for his singing talents, he didn’t take long to convince Gaga that he was perfectly suited to the role of Jackson Maine in the new film.
And the chart-topping star feels they’ve managed to create “something truly special”.
She told Vogue magazine: “He sings from his gut, from the nectar! I knew instantly: This guy could play a rock star. And I don’t think there are a lot of people in Hollywood who can. That was the moment I knew this film could be something truly special.”

Shane Black says Hollywood doesn’t embrace risk-takers

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Black thinks there’s a “dearth of risk-taking” in Hollywood.
The 56-year-old filmmaker – who has directed hits such as ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘The Nice Guys’ – has bemoaned the current landscape in the American movie business, suggesting that studios are unwilling to take a risk on original ideas.
He said: “Nowadays, given the cost and the necessity of meeting a certain quota in terms of recouping your investment, the playground factor for directors has diminished, that’s for certain.
“It’s collaboration at best and scrutiny at worst given to the films that are not allowed to fail. There’s a dearth of risk-taking in a lot of films. Ultimately, it’s up to me to argue whether a risk is worth taking. But it’s certainly going to be easier if it’s not got a high budget.”
Shane’s latest movie is the fourth installment in the ‘Predator’ film series.
But the director has revealed he plans to take a step back from big-budget movies following its release.
Asked about his future plans, he told the Independent newspaper: “The next one will not be “Predator’.
“I’m going to take a bit of a break, take stock and try and get creative about something. I’ve been working on the same project for two years and it’s time to do something really quirky and risky and odd. So, I’m going to get a little odd and see what comes of it.”

Kit Harington slams Marvel for lack of gay actors

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington has slammed Marvel for its lack of gay actors.
The 31-year-old star – who is best-known for his role in ‘Game of Thrones’ – has called on the studio to take a lead on the issue of diversity.
He told Variety: “There’s a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can’t somehow go hand in hand.
“That we can’t have someone in a Marvel movie who’s gay in real life and plays some super hero. I mean, when is that going to happen?”
Earlier this year, Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that the studio is already developing an LGBTQ character.
Asked whether the character will be someone audiences are already familiar with or not, Kevin replied: “Both ones you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen.”
Meanwhile, Dave Bautista has threatened to quit ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ unless Marvel promises to use James Gunn’s script.
The director was fired by Disney earlier this year when some controversial tweets, which he posted over 10 years ago, resurfaced online – but Dave is adamant he won’t do another film for the studio unless it agrees to use his script.
He said: “James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met. He’s already turned the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract – cut me out or recast me because I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.”

Gigi Hadid’s wine bottle accessory

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid carried a bottle of wine as an accessory on the red carpet as she attended a New York Fashion Week event.
While appearing at the Business of Fashion #BOF500 Gala at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday night (09.09.18), the 23-year-old model carried a see-through Brandon Maxwell bag which contained an entire bottle of rosé wine.
The Victoria’s Secret model stunned on the carpet beside her younger sister and fellow model Bella Hadid, wearing a bright yellow flared leg jumpsuit also from Brandon Maxwell’s spring/summer 2019 runway line.
Bella, 21, surprised onlookers at the event by dressing in an outfit seemingly inspired by the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Her all-white outfit consisted of parachute pants with detachable straps a corset and jacket with giant puffy sleeves and she finished the look with some fingerless white gloves.
Meanwhile, Gigi has admitted that she likes to impersonate “characters” to feel “empowered” during Fashion Week.
The blonde beauty always looks glamorous in front of the cameras, but she admits that the constant photographs can be “intimidating” so she gives herself different alter egos to help her get through the day.
Speaking to Harper’sBazaar.com she said: “With work, a lot of the time it’s intense to wake up and have a lot of cameras outside – it can be kind of intimidating. Sometimes there’s a character that comes to mind that excites me for the day so I try and take that personality into what I’m wearing. It helps get me out the door and feels empowering. [The photographers are] something that I can’t control but what I can control in a situation is how I feel and how I dress and what helps me feel braver to do those things.”

Victoria Beckham’s ambitions for fashion label

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham is keen to expand her eponymous label.
The 44-year-old designer – whose products were recently made accessible in “over 100 countries” – has even more ideas in the pipeline for the future as she plans to include more “categories” to her growing brand.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Victoria – who previously revealed her aspirations to produce menswear and children’s clothing – said: “I always say dream big. There are a lot of things I wanted to do with the brand, more categories and really put my foot on the gas. I needed to bring people in to help me to do that, people who had done this before.”
The businesswoman – who has sons, 19-year-old son Brooklyn, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 13, and seven-year-old daughter Harper with retired soccer player David Beckham – admits it hasn’t been easy running her own company and she had to quickly learn to “trust” her “instincts” when it comes to making quick-thinking decisions.
Reflecting on the past 10 years, she said: “It’s been an incredible learning curve. It’s been an incredible journey, even when things can be challenging. I’ve had to learn incredibly quickly. I’m the creative director and owner of this brand. (I’ve learned to) really trust my instincts, and I think that’s something that comes with age.”
Victoria’s latest campaign will be showcased during London Fashion Week this summer instead of New York, with visuals being projected onto Piccadilly Circus, which is a dream come true for the ‘Viva Forever’ hitmaker.
She said: “When I was a kid, my parents would drive us up to London and show us Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, and would always drive around Piccadilly Circus. I remember looking up, thinking, ‘Wow, how cool would it be, to literally see your name in lights.’ ”

Danny Dyer would do family show for ‘the right money’

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer would do a reality show with his family “for the right money”.
The ‘EastEnders’ star and his daughter Dani Dyer – who won the 2018 series of ‘Love Island’ with boyfriend Jack Fincham – have been approached by TV producers to shoot their own programme, and the 41-year-old actor says he’d consider it if he was offered a big pay day.
Speaking to ‘This Morning’ at the TV Choice Awards in London on Monday night (10.09.18) – where he won the Best Soap Actor gong for his role as Mick Carter in the BBC One soap – he said: “It’ll either be brilliant and amazing, or a total car crash. Maybe we should give it to them for the right money?”
Danny says he and Dani, 22, are already working together on something top secret and that he’d like them to both star on the big screen together.
Speaking to ‘Good Morning Britain’, he said: “We want to do a film together too, not just selling our soul to the devil, we want to do something credible.”
Danny – who has portrayed Queen Vic owner Mick since 2013 – admitted during his acceptance speech at the awards ceremony at The Dorchester that he felt he received his prize because of his offspring’s ‘Love Island’ success.
Speaking on stage, he said: “I would like to believe that I got this award for being a blinding actor.
“But it’s probably because my daughter Dani won ‘Love Island’.”
Talk of a Dyer family series comes after Dani and Jack were reported to have been offered their own spin-off show before they left the villa.
A production source said at the time: “There is a big money offer on the table for the couple and cameras want to start filming them as soon as they leave the villa.
“There is a huge interest in capturing the moment that Jack meets Danny in person, something he’s been nervous about since day one. Danny will give him plenty of banter so it would be TV gold.”
Though nothing has come about, Dani’s dad advised his daughter that she needs to forge her own TV career without Jack.
He said: “There are going to be some very exciting projects coming up for her.
“They have to live their own lives, I don’t think they should come out as a double act.”

SAS: Who Dares Wins has celebs scared

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ bosses are reportedly struggling to find stars brave enough to take it on.
Ant Middleton’s “gruelling” reality show – which sees the former soldier put people through their paces – is due to start filming next month for its Stand Up To Cancer celebrity special, and some of the names on the producers’ list are said to be put off by the intensity of the programme.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Stars know this isn’t a warm and fuzzy show, it’s physically and emotionally gruelling, and some are scared of being humiliated on TV.”
The theme is Winter Warfare, and some of the stars wanted for the programme are said to have been put off after the mass walkout staged by female contestants during Channel 4’s ‘Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls’.
The likes of former ‘TOWIE’ star Joey Essex, ‘The Jump’ winner Spencer Matthews, ‘Strictly’ pro Brendan Cole, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Ashley Taylor Dawson, ‘Love Island’ hunk Alex Bowen and Olympian Louis Smith have all been linked to the show.
Despite the challenges, Ant has insisted it will be an “ultimate rewarding” experience for the celebrities who do step up.
He added: “This isn’t ‘I’m a Celebrity’ or ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – it’s the real deal. It will be the most revealing and ultimately rewarding process they’ve ever undertaken.”
Ant, 37, won’t be taking it easy on contestants, and he previously admitted he wants them to experience the real SAS recruiting process.
He said: “‘Who Dares Wins’ is me being how it is. Yes, it’s brutal at times but when you think about it, you are picking the most elite soldiers in world and putting them in harm’s way.”

Saira Khan and daughter Amara open up on adoption

OHMYGOSSIP — Saira Khan and her daughter Amara Hyde “always say a special wish” for her biological mother.
The 48-year-old TV presenter adopted her girl from Pakistan seven years ago when she was less than a week old, and she and husband Steven Hyde have always been honest about how she came into their lives.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ with Amara making her first TV appearance, Saira said: “Amara knows that she doesn’t come out of my tummy but there is a special lady out there who we always say a special wish for, and say thank you so much for everything you’ve done, and that we’re looking after her.”
The orphanage had children who were left in cradles at areas like bus stops, and Saira broke down in tears as she thanked Amara’s biological mum for choosing to give her daughter a chance at finding a family.
She added: “We know nothing [about her birth], but I always say – and I’m gonna take this moment to say it – to whoever is out there. Thank you for bringing Amara and putting her in that cradle… Because some babies don’t get put into the cradle for whatever reason.”
The TV star made a BBC documentary – ‘Adopting Abroad, Saira’s Story’ – about her experiences, which they still watch as a family on Amara’s birthday.
Saira watched a clip from the show before her daughter joined them on air.
Reflecting on the moment she first held Amara, she said: “Goodness me, she was tiny. And all I remember is when the put her in my arms, she was mine, that was in. I looked into these huge eyes, and they were staring back at me like that and I just thought oh my goodness.”

Catherine Zeta Jones lives through son

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Zeta-Jones “lives vicariously” through her son.
The 48-year-old actress, her husband Michael Douglas and their 15-year-old daughter Carys recently said goodbye to 18-year-old Dylan when he left their home to study at Rhode Island’s prestigious Brown University and she admitted the fact she envies him for going away to college because it wasn’t something she got to experience herself.
She said: “I live vicariously through him. I never went to college; I was working and I kind of always wanted that life and that opportunity, that camaraderie and the love and joy of learning, and to see that happen for him — it’s really exciting. [Carys’] right behind. She’s already been thinking about college.”
Though the family were sad to say goodbye to Dylan, they were amused by aspiring actress Carys’ reaction to the situation.
Carys told ‘Extra’ “Carys was videoing herself crying, like, enjoying the whole experience like it was some audition or something. It was very funny, but Carys said they are so incredibly close.”
Michael, 73, was glad they got to experience Dylan’s “rite of passage” as a family.
He said: “Carys came with us, too. It was wonderful. It’s clearly a rite of passage, you know, it’s that moment where you wave goodbye and you look at each other and he’s not coming home with us.”
Despite her theatrical reaction, Carys – who wants to be an actor or a doctor – admitted it was “really difficult” to see her brother move into a dorm because they have such a close relationship.
She said: “He’s my best friend, so, I mean, like, we’re very, very close. It was really difficult for me, but I’m so excited for him and I know he’s going to have a great time in college so I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Catherine and her daughter recently posed for the cover of Town & Country magazine and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ actor was very proud of the women in his life.
He gushed: “I married right and I never anticipated I’d see my daughter and wife on Town & Country. It was pretty cool and I’m very proud of Carys — she’s handling herself really well.”

Gordon Ramsay eats snails from his garden

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay eats snails collected from his own garden.
The TV chef is a big fan of traditional French delicacy escargot – a dish of land snails cooked in garlic butter and parsley – and as well as cooking the meal at some of his restaurants he has also served it to his children at home.
His 16-year-old daughter Tilly Ramsay – who is quickly becoming a television cooking star herself, after presenting CBBC show ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’ – admits she is put off because the gastropods come from their own home.
During a joint appearance on UK daytime TV show ‘This Morning’, Gordon said: “It was really important for me when you guys were all little, to sort of almost help you become un-fussy about food. And then when you became un-fussy about food, you wanted to learn how to cook food … You even ate snails, we picked them from the garden.”
Tilly then added: “You would feed us everything from lamb’s brain to snails … I don’t mind them but, like, they’re from the garden.”
Gordon also has Megan, 20, and twins Holly and Jack, both 18, with his wife Tana and he wanted to instil in them the basic knowledge for cooking from an early age because it is such an important life skill.
He explained: “When I see Jack panicking about Latin and even though he’s never going to use that ever again for the rest of his life. I still think cooking is as important in school … Learning how to cook is as important as learning a foreign language.
“You’ll learn to eat healthily, look after yourself, and it makes you a little bit more independent … all your mates will want to come round and have dinner parties!”
And Tilly – whose full name is Matilda – agrees with her ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ star dad, saying: “I think all schools should try and do cooking lessons because it really does help and it’s something you’re going to need.”

Claire Foy thanks Canada for Ryan Gosling

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy thinks Canada deserves to be congratulated for creating Ryan Gosling.
The 34-year-old actress stars alongside the handsome actor in the new biographical drama ‘First Man’, and Claire has admitted to relishing the experience, saying Ryan is the most “generous, kindest, funny actor”.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she explained: “I literally feel like God has arrived. He’s amazing, like, well done, Canada.
“He really is the most generous, kindest, funny actor. It’s just incredible to work with him.”
Emma Stone, another of Ryan’s former co-stars, also recently heaped praise on the Canadian actor.
The Academy Award-winning actress – who has appeared alongside Ryan in hits such as ‘La La Land’, ‘Gangster Squad’ and ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ – admitted she couldn’t imagine her life without the actor.
She added: “He’s so special. It makes me emotional. He’s so talented but he’s such a great person to work with because he’s so collaborative and excited about the process.
“He’s taught me a lot about being really generous.”
Emma, 29, explained that she and Ryan struck up a good partnership the moment they met, and they’ve remained good friends ever since.
She shared: “We really hit it off. We’ve been just pals ever since.
“He is a wonderful person, but also an incredible actor. It’s a lucky thing that we get to do three [movies together]. It’s not bad.”
Despite this, Ryan believes director Damien Chazelle – who helmed ‘La La Land’ and ‘First Man’ – ought to be given more credit for creating such a healthy working environment.
He said: “I think he creates a certain environment that makes everybody feel creatively involved and it feels like a true collaboration, but he has great vision.
“He’s able to work at these enormous scales but still have the environment feel intimate and creative. So, I think we all are very lucky to work on his movies.”
