Casey Batchelor lost a stone in one month

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Batchelor lost one stone in one month thanks to her new diet and yoga regime.
The 33-year-old reality star welcomed her daughter Florence – whom she has with her boyfriend Dane Goodson – into the world three months ago, and has been documenting her fitness journey on Instagram as she works to get back her pre-pregnancy body.
And the new mum took to social media on Tuesday (11.09.18) to share a side-by-side photo of herself in August compared to a month later in September, showing off her dramatic weight loss.
She wrote alongside the image: “So guys I wanted to share this with you as I’m so thrilled to say that I’ve lost a stone in a month doing my yoga and being good with my diet. Not back to my old bod yet but getting there #weightlossjourney #beforeandafter (sic)”
The former glamour model was flooded with comments from fans who praised her weight loss.
One said: “You look incredible well done @caseybatchelor1 always keeping it real and no airbrushing or filters.”
Another said: “Looking amazing thank you for being so honest and inspirational to other new mums! X” (sic)
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star is open about her changing body and new life as a mum, and has often posted frank and honest posts about her weight gain on social media.
In August she posted a before and after photo with two images of herself standing on a beach in a skimpy bikini comparing her 2016 slimmer physique to her 2018 one.
She wrote: “Here is my TBT Throwing it way back to 2016.
“When I look at these pictures I feel good about how I looked then but refuse to feel bad about how I look now. In fact I’m using myself as my own inspo.
My body has done an amazing thing in the past year and gave me my beautiful Florence Now I can’t wait to see what it’ll do in the next year getting back into fitness again #throwbackthursday#weightlossjourney #weightlossmotivation#fitnessjourney #letsdothis (sic)”

Henry Cavill hangs up Superman cape?

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill has hung up his cape as Superman.
The 35-year-old actor – who starred as the fictional superhero in movies including ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Justice League’ – has reportedly decided not to continue in the role after Warner Bros. and his representatives fell out over a cameo in ‘Shazam!’.
A source told The Hollywood Reporter: “There’s a recognition that some parts of the previous movies didn’t work … Superman is like James Bond, and after a certain run you have to look at new actors.”
A statement from Warner Bros. tried to play down any final decisions made about Cavill’s future as the superhero. They said: “While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged.”
The news may come as a surprise to some as earlier this year, Henry revealed he already had a storyline in mind for ‘Man of Steel 2’ and had already held conversations with people at DC about a follow-up movie.
He said: “I’m having a lot of conversations, behind-the-scenes, with certain people and we will hopefully be having conversations with other people who are also behind-the-scenes to make things start happening. It is very much in my desire to do a ‘Man of Steel 2’, a direct sequel to ‘Man of Steel’, and there is a whole bunch of Superman story that I want to tell. There is a whole style of Superman’s character that I’m very keen to tell and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”
And the hunky star previously admitted that playing Superman is bigger than any of his previous roles.
Asked if he was intimated by the responsibility, Henry explained: “I don’t think there’s an intimidation to it as such. Certainly if I really thought about it and concentrated, there’s been a couple of phases where people have said, they’ve been explaining to me all the Superman cookies and the ice creams and I saw organic kryptonite next to organic corn sign on the way down here. There was a second where I went, ‘Wow, this is massive.’ You gotta ignore that and not let it get to you, otherwise you’ll be focusing so much on the pressure as opposed to actually dealing with the important thing, which is doing justice to the character.”

Lili Reinhart’s acne struggle

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart’s body dysmorphia “stems from her acne”.
The ‘Riverdale’ star admits she struggles with how “ugly” she feels she looks because of her skin condition and it has caused her “a lot of anxiety and sadness”.
Speaking to the new issue of Glamour magazine, she said: “I cried last night to my mom over FaceTime because of how ugly I felt I looked. My skin has caused me a lot of anxiety and sadness. I have a specific type of body dysmorphia that stems from acne. I see any acne on my face as an obsessive thing. It’s the only thing I can think about, and edit makes me want to hide. Lorde actually messaged me on Instagram when I had spoken out about my acne and she was like, ‘Girl, I feel you. I’m totally on the same page as you.’ It was really comforting and very sweet of her.”
And Lili previously admitted her acne is her “biggest insecurity”.
She shared: “I have a cystic breakout on my forehead currently. And I had to do a photo shoot all day long. I’ve had cystic acne since I was 12. And it has caused major self-esteem issues ever since. I had to put my biggest insecurity on display. There was nowhere to hide. 20+ people were studying my face on the camera monitor at any given time during the 11 hour shoot. And all I could think about when I was in front of the camera were the pimples on my forehead. I had to put my biggest insecurity on display. There was nowhere to hide. 20+ people were studying my face on the camera monitor at any given time during the 11 hour shoot. And all I could think about when I was in front of the camera were the pimples on my forehead.”

The 1975 and Artic Monkeys lead Q Awards nominations

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975, Christine and the Queens and the Artic Monkeys lead the nominations for the Q Awards 2018.
The ‘Chocolate’ hitmakers have received two nods ahead of the October 17 ceremony, picking up nominations for Best Track for ‘Love It If We Made It’ and going head to head with the Artic Monkeys for the Best Act In The World Today award. The group’s LP ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ also receives a nod in the Best Album category.
Christine and the Queens picked up two nominations too – in the Best Solo Artist category and also Best Track for ‘Girlfriend’ – whilst rapper Janelle Monae’s ‘Make Me Feel’ earns her a nod for Best Track as well as Best Solo Artist. Goat Girl is up for Breakthrough Act and Best Track for ‘The Man’.
Elsewhere, Noel Gallagher receives a nomination for Best Album for ‘Who Built The Moon?’ whilst his brother Liam is vying to be named Best Live Act, up against the likes of Taylor Swift, Stefflon Don and Wolf Alice. Noel will also face Ed Sheeran and Drake in the Best Solo Artist category.
Ted Kessler, editor of Q Magazine, said: “I love these shortlists and I love the Q readership even more for supplying them. We’ve thought for a while at Q that in a digital world where streaming music is so ubiquitous, the old barriers between musical genres are meaningless. All that matters is whether a song has power, or if an artist makes something to become lost within. These shortlists, where Janelle Monáe’s future-funk rubs shoulders with Goat Girl’s garage-punk in Best Track, or where Kendrick Lamar could just as easily be the Best Act In The World Today as Paul Weller, prove that. Unlike some music awards, artists are not nominated by their representatives, nor is there a fee to be paid upon entry. It’s decided by the readers and the writers of Q alone, and consequently these shortlists represent the very best of music now. I can’t wait for the winners to be revealed on 17 October at the Roundhouse.”
The Q Awards 2018, in association with Absolute Radio, will be handed out on October 17 at Camden’s iconic Roundhouse. The public can cast their votes at www.Qthemusic.com – with voting closing on Thursday, 5 October.

Sofia Vergara: Fame isn’t easy

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Vergara’s rise to fame hasn’t been “easy”.
The ‘Modern Family’ star admits it has been tough to make it in the entertainment industry but she absolutely adores her work and wouldn’t have it any other way.
She said: “I’m 46 and I’ve been working for almost 30 years. So being able to do something that I love in the entertainment business, and on top of that being able to make money? It’s been a wonderful experience. It has not been easy. It’s been a lot of work, but it makes you feel rewarded for all the sacrifices – like missing my son’s birthday here and there and not being able to be present all the time for him.”
The 46-year-old actress feels the secret to her success is to not allow “people who are sucking the energy out of you” or those creating problems into her life.
She told the October issue of Health magazine: “After working so many years, I think the most helpful thing has been realising that you have to enjoy your work. It’s not worth it to be around people who are sucking the energy out of you or who are creating problems. At the beginning of your career, you have to do what you have to do – but now I don’t have to.I don’t need to sacrifice my sanity, or time with my family, if I’m having a horrible time. That’s one of the good things about [reaching a certain level of] achievement – you can make those decisions.”

Jon Hamm eyes Batman role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Hamm wants to play Batman.
The former ‘Man Men’ actor is a “huge comic book” fan and would be keen to follow Ben Affleck – who is rumoured not to be returning to the role – in portraying the Caped Crusader on the big screen, so long as there’s a strong script in place.
Speaking to Graham Bensinger for his ‘In Depth’ series, he said of the possibility: “It depends on the script, what the story is.
“I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I’ve read comic books since I was nine or younger. And I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they’re done well.”
But the 47-year-old star stressed he hadn’t had any official conversations about the possibility of taking on the iconic role.
He said: “I have had rumours about that since probably season one of ‘Mad Men’.
“I have never had a conversation with anybody about it, literally. And I’ve sat in the room with all these guys. I have never been offered anything. I think the internet wants what it wants. But, I mean, a lot of people have to sign off on that, obviously not just the internet.”
While Jon would love the opportunity to play Batman, he admitted he isn’t so keen on the idea of having to spend hours in the gym to hone his physique for the role.
He said: “”I’d probably fit the suit. I’d have to work out a lot, which I don’t love.
“But, I am sure there’s an interesting version of that being out there. And if they wanted to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to do it, why not?”

Ryan Lochte met Kayla on Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Lochte met his wife on Instagram.
The Olympic swimmer first linked up with his now-wife Kayla Rae Reid when he sent her a message on the photo sharing site, leading them to eventually meet up in Los Angeles.
He said: “She was living in Los Angeles at the time and I was in Charlotte, North Carolina. I went to Los Angeles for training and was going out to a club. She was going out to the same club with her girlfriend. I was like, ‘Oh, maybe we’ll finally get to see each other.’ We reached out and grabbed each other’s hands and were like ‘This is you! Finally.’ And we didn’t want to let go. Our friends were dragging us apart and that was the end of that night.”
Kayla added: “He was like, ‘Hey, I’d like to buy you a drink!’ and I was like, ‘What does that mean?’ I wrote back, ‘Maybe.’ And that was it. He was so persistent, constantly. I was like, ‘Oh fine! I’ll meet with you.'”
And the 34-year-old athlete knew the 27-year-old model was the one the second they met.
He shared to People magazine: “We talked for eight to 10 hours about everything and honestly the next day we started dating. We just talked about what we want in life … our goals, family, everything. I think right after that I was just like, ‘She’s the one.’ Our lives have been a roller coaster ride with everything we’ve had to deal with. No matter what has happened, she’s been there to pick me up. She’s the one that has motivated me to keep going and to keep striving for my dreams and my goals not just in sports but in life as well. I owe everything to her.”

Lauren Conrad: My life’s a mess

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Conrad claims her life is a “bit of a mess”.
The ‘Hills’ star thinks it is “funny” that people think her life is perfect and that she has “things very put together”.
She said: “It’s really funny to me when people have this idea that I have things very put together. My life is a bit of a mess, and I don’t broadcast that, but I like it that way … I like to focus on the prettier parts of life, but that doesn’t necessarily represent all of it.”
And the 32-year-old television personality – who has son Liam with her husband William Tell – has been working hard to “delegate” in life as she got too caught up wanting to “handle everything” herself.
She added to Redbook magazine: “I wanted to handle everything myself – I felt that nobody would care about my business as much as I would. But when you take on too much, it’s hard to do everything well.
“It got to the point where it was too much for me to handle. I had to learn to delegate. If you can focus on the areas where you know you can’t be replaced and bring in help in the areas you can, that’s where you find success.”
Meanwhile, Lauren previously confessed she feels “overwhelmed” being a mother.
She explained: “I think that you can become a little overwhelmed, just being at home with your baby all day. Honestly, it’s exactly as everyone describes it. It’s the best and hardest thing you’ll ever do. It’s amazing. You fall so in love with your tiny person – it’s a whole new life. I took a photo of [Liam] yesterday. I’m trying to take a monthly photo – all of the good moms do it – I’m really trying. So I took it and I looked at it next to his one-month photo, and he had just changed. Like he was a completely different baby, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ But seeing how fast they change, you realize it’s so important not to miss anything.”

Frankie Grande heartbroken over Mac Miller’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Grande is “beyond heartbroken” over Mac Miller’s death.
The YouTube personality was devastated to hear of the passing of the rapper – whose real name was Malcolm McCormick – after he died last week of a suspected overdose.
Frankie – the brother of Mac’s ex Ariana Grande – wrote on Instagram: “I am beyond heartbroken over Malcolm’s death. He was a good friend and was wonderful to my sister. He was the reason I went to the rehabilitation center where I was detoxed safely from all of the drugs alcohol and medications I was taking, when I couldn’t imagine living without them. It was the place where I found the community of support that showed me that living life without drugs was a possibility and I would never have discovered that if it weren’t for Malcolm. (sic)”
And the 35-year-old star thanked Mac “from the bottom of his heart” for always supporting him in his fight against his addiction and keeping him going.
He added: “I remember when I would get 30, 60, 90 days clean and Malcolm would be there with a gift and a card and words of encouragement … telling me that he knew how hard getting sober is and how impressed he was that I was succeeding.
“Addiction is a TERRIBLE disease … many people are suffering from addiction like I am and many many of them are losing. Those of us who are struggling with addiction must stay strong. We must continue to work HARD on ourselves every single day and help each other … Malcolm my friend, you will be dearly missed. And I know you will be looking down on me from heaven, proud AF for every day I live my life clean and sober … 453 days and counting … Thank you from the bottom of my heart. (sic)

Carrie Underwood: Fitness is my therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood sees fitness as her “therapy”.
The ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker doesn’t like massages or facials and if she wants some time away from it all, she just hits the gym.
She said: “I feel like it’s my therapy everyday. I don’t go get massages, I don’t go get facials. That would be great. I might get a massage twice a year – some Mother’s Day present or something, which I literally have a gift card for that, that’s like two years old that I have not used for Mother’s Day. But, that’s my thing. I don’t need vacations even. I’m like, ‘Honey, you can give me like an hour, I’m good. You don’t have to take me out. It’s fine.’ That’s kind of my therapy. I feel like a lot of what I do is physically demanding.”
And the 35-year-old singer finds it “demanding” being on stage, especially having to sing and dance around in heels.
She added to PopCulture.com: “It is demanding being on stage, and especially some of the songs that I write and sing are really hard, and I need that. I need to be at my peak. I need to be able to sing and walk across the stage without being winded. And I’m doing it in heels, which makes it five times as hard, so I feel like that’s just something that makes me a better person, a better performer. It just makes me feel better about myself. It makes me feel better. I need that in my life.”

Doctor Who’s K9 set for ‘multi-million dollar’ spin-off series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’ favourite K9 is set for a huge spin-off series and feature film.
The robotic canine companion won’t be back for Jodie Whittaker’s first series in the TARDIS, but fans will be delighted after comments from creators Bob Baker and Paul Tams on the character’s official Facebook page suggested there are some big plans in the works.
The post reads: “There is a major project in the pipeline to bring K9 back as the standalone hero that he deserves to be.
“We have entered into a partnership with a major US/UK company and are currently now developing a new multi-million dollar series which will establish the K9 ‘brand’ prior to the release of the feature film.”
Although details are scarce, the project is expected to “be set in space, akin to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy'”, and its aim will be to “appeal to both new and old audiences”.
More information is expected for early 2019.
While the long-time character – who first appeared in 1977, and later appeared from 2006 to 2010 – won’t be making a long-awaited return on the forthcoming TV series, it is all change for the show, with Jodie’s debut series making the regular move from Saturday to Sunday.
The 10-part series will launch on Sunday October 7 on BBC One, and incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall has suggested the programme could fit well into its new time slot.
He said: “New Doctor, new home! Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor is about to burst into Sunday nights – and make the end of the weekend so much more exciting.
“Get everybody’s homework done, sort out your Monday clothes, then grab some special Sunday night popcorn, and settle down with all of the family for Sunday night adventures across space and time. (Also, move the sofa away from the wall so parents can hide behind it during the scary bits).
“The Thirteenth Doctor is falling from the sky and it’s going to be a blast.”

Paul McCartney keen for electronic music collaboration

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney would love to experiment with electronic music.
The Beatles legend – who released his new album ‘Egypt Station’ last week – says he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of collaborating with an EDM artist in the future as he’s already had a go at making digitally-led music himself in the past.
During a Twitter Q&A with fans, he replied when asked if it’s on the cards: “Yeah I would. When I do electronic music it tends to be me as ‘The Nutty Professor’ in his lab! But, I wouldn’t rule out the idea. (sic)”
The ‘Let it Be’ hitmaker also revealed that Prince inspired his song ‘Hunting You Down’ on his new record and ‘If You Wanna’ from his 1997 solo LP ‘Flaming Pie’.
Replying to a fan who asked if any other songs of his were influenced by the late ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker – who died last April at the age of 57 from a fentanyl overdose – the 76-year-old star replied: “I can’t think of other songs he has inspired, but those two definitely. I was always a big fan. I went to see him in concert a few times and wrote to him saying how much I enjoyed his guitar playing particularly. I met him a few times. The last time was a couple … of New Year’s ago, when he played a New Year’s gig. I’ve always been a big fan.”
Meanwhile, McCartney – who performed a surprise gig at New York’s Grand Central Station over the weekend with a star-studded crowd including Meryl Streep, Jon Bon Jovi, Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss – recently revealed he taught grime star Stormzy how to play the piano.
The ‘Come On To Me’ singer was asked for advice by the grime star on how to improve his musicianship, so he gave him a “basic” lesson in tinkling the ivories.
He said: “Stormzy asked for advice. He’s looking to advance his music.
“As a rapper, I thought he’d have words down, but there was a piano, so I showed him basic stuff — how you get middle C, make a chord, a triad and, just by moving that, get D minor, E minor, F, G, A minor, and how that’s enough for anyone.”

Adam Lambert’s new music will surprise fans

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert says his fans will be “surprised” by his new solo music.
The 36-year-old singer – who is currently performing with Queen at their residency at the Park Theatre at Park MGM in Las Vegas – isn’t rushing with his new album as he wants to make sure his new tunes are true to who he is, but he says his latest material is sounding like nothing else he’s ever done before.
And the ‘For Your Entertainment’ hitmaker feels he’s been able to experiment more with his style because he’s not stuck to one genre.
In an interview with Client Magazine, for which he was photographed by Aitor Santome, he teased: “I’ve been waiting a long time to release new music, but I wanted to spend time on it to ensure that it was exactly what I wanted it to be, and also that everything was set up in the right way… It’s different from anything I have done previously – I didn’t feel tied to a trend or a genre and explored a lot more, so I think people might be surprised! I’m at a place where I really feel clear about who I am and what I stand for and I think that’s going to reflect in the music.”
Adam – whose last record was 2015’s ‘The Original High’ – also admitted fronting Queen in the place of the late great Freddie Mercury has become like “second nature” to him, though it “intimidated” him at first.
He told the publication: “I was very shocked, but beyond ecstatic. But at first, I was definitely a little intimated. What would fans expect of me? How do I follow the iconic Freddie Mercury? I never wanted to imitate him but at the same time I never wanted to change the tracks.
“But I felt super comfortable with Brian May and Roger Taylor from the outset, so as time went by it all became like second nature to me.
“It was an honour to be asked to carry the torch for Freddie and continue the phenomenon by performing timeless songs, with the men that were part of the best rock band there’s ever been.”

Iggy Pop gives his house to wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Pop has signed his house over to his wife.
The ‘Lust for Life’ singer bought a five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion in Miami for $4.1 million in 2016 and in July this year, Iggy transferred the property from his trust to him and his third spouse Nina Alu individually, before then transferring the deed from him to her for her sole ownership.
In documents obtained by The Blast, there is no reason given for why he handed over the abode.
The property is located in the exclusive Coconut Grove gated community and features 20ft ceilings in the entryway, black limestone floors, a library and a huge outdoor entertainment pavilion, which has a separate barbecue area overlooking a pool and a canal.
The change in ownership came a month after Iggy – who married Nina in 2008 – sold off another of his Florida houses.
He bought the three-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom property in Palmetto Bay in 2006 for $1.46 million but took a loss with the sale in June as it went for $1.225 million.
The 5,356 sq ft house sat on over an acre of land and boasts a private tennis court, waterfall, aviary, library with built-in wood shelves, wood wine cellar, pool and spa, barbecue and wine cooler.
The 71-year-old rocker – whose real name is James Newell OSterberg Jr. – was previously married to Wendy Weissberg but had their union annulled after several weeks in 1968 and later to Suchi Asano from 1984 to 1999.
He has a son, Eric, 48, with former partner Paulette Benson.
