Duchess Catherine to return to work next week

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Catherine is set to return to work on October 2.
The 36-year-old royal has been off work since the birth of her son Prince Louis of Cambridge five months ago but she is set to undertake her first royal engagement next week in Paddington, London.
A tweet on the official Kensington Palace Twitter account reads: “The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the @SCTrust Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on Tuesday 2nd October.”
It is the first official royal engagement the Duchess of Cambridge has undertaken since April, although she has been seen at a few big family events in the recent months including the RAF centenary service at Westminster Abbey and the Trooping the Colour as well as more personal visits including attending the finals at Wimbledon and also the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “It is traditional for new royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements. If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!”
Whilst the Duchess has yet to return to work, her husband Prince William – with whom she also shares Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three – has been visiting Namibia to fight poaching and wildlife crime.
A series of tweets on Kensington Palace’s account read: “The Duke of Cambridge received a spectacular welcome of singing and dancing before meeting people involved in making the Kunene People’s Park Initiative a success. The Kunene People’s Park Initiative is a ground breaking initiative supported by @Tusk_org to provide Namibian communities with greater control and benefits from their wildlife .. The Duke of Cambridge has been visiting Namibia’s Kunene region to see the dedicated work of Save the Rhino Trust Namibia and IRDNC, being undertaken with the support of @Tusk_org #EndWildlifeCrime (sic)”

Kylie Minogue gushes over new romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue’s romance with Paul Solomons “doesn’t compare” to her previous lovers.
The ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ hitmaker thinks her romance with the GQ magazine boss is perfect and “lovely”.
She said: “It doesn’t compare. It’s lovely. He’s not on the road with me because he’s got a job and commitments, as much as I would love him to be. I am so appreciative of what I have in my life right now.”
And the 50-year-old singer admits it can be tough being away from her loved ones when she’s out on tour.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “After every tour I say to my team, ‘I don’t know if I can do that again.’ And they just roll their eyes going, ‘You’ve said that, you’re going to want to do it again.’ It can be taxing as you’re away from your home and loved ones. For me, I have never been a good planner, I don’t think that far into the future. I just want to enjoy this one.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Golden’ singer has even changed her mind on marriage after admitting earlier this year that she’d never walk down the aisle following her heartbreaking split from her ex-fiance Joshua Sasse last year.
She said: “I’m so happy to be back on terra firma in that sense. So yeah, life’s, I won’t say a little bit, I’ll say a lot, better. Life’s great. Take that as you wish. Like, I might [get married one day], I might not. I did say, ‘Maybe it’s not for me.’ But the other half is maybe. I don’t know. It wasn’t in that last scenario [with Joshua]. But who knows? I don’t know. The thing I’ve said for years and years, even when I was probably doing press at 21 years old, is that I think I’ll have a family – I don’t know if I’ll ever get married, though. It’s weird. I’ve done neither.”

Jennifer Lopez is in the ‘best shape of her life’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez is in the “best shape of her life.”
The 49-year-old singer made a promise to herself that she would workout every day to make sure she was fit enough for her 15-show run and, although there were times when she felt physically and mentally exhausted, she feels like “Superwoman” now because she’s so “strong, happy and grateful.”
Taking to her Instagram account, the ‘Get Right’ hitmaker posted a photo of herself standing against a white door in a tight-fitting bold red dress, showing off her muscular physique, and accompanied it with the caption: “Feeling like superwoman after the show tonight!
“When I started this run I thought omg 15 shows in 27 days that’s a lot… but I made a promise to myself that instead of letting it wear me down I would be even stronger at the end of it…I will work out and be in the best shape of my life.
“There were moments I was tired and there was travel and I had to fit in my workouts where I could… but here we are with only 3 shows left!! And I am having so many emotions but mostly just feeling strong, happy and grateful!!! “(sic)
Jennifer isn’t the only one surprised by her physical ability as her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez – whom she’s been dating for almost two years – has been training with her occasionally and is inspired by how athletic she is.
The 43-year-old former professional baseball shortstop said recently: “Jennifer is an incredible athlete. She’s a former star athlete going back to junior high [and] high school. And we both just love the fitness space, we like to work out. We work out together, we workout apart. Yeah, she’s great.”

Luke Jerdy’s real name is Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Jerdy’s real name is Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who plays Jesse Donovan in the Channel 4 soap – has revealed he changed his first name to Luke, and took part of his second name to create a completely new moniker after hearing some advice that keeping his real name may “confuse casting directors”.
He said: “My real name is Majid and I’m half-Iranian. I decided to change my name at drama school after hearing some advice that it might end up confusing casting directors.
“My middle name is Luke and my surname is Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy – I took Luke and Jerdy so that it’s still like me.”
The 28-year-old actor is dating his ‘Hollyoaks’ co-star Daisy Wood-Davis (Kim Butterfield) away from the Chester village, and he was recently left “jealous” after she shot scenes with singing legend Rick Astley, who is to make a cameo in the soap.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: “I was jealous, and they didn’t even invite me. It was a stroke of genius to finally have him in the show, after all those months of Kim staring at a poster of him.
“To actually get the man himself to take part in ‘Hollyoaks’ – it was just really brilliant.”
Rick was approached to appear in the programme after Daisy’s alter-ego Kim spent months kidnapped in the school with only a poster of Rick to speak to for comfort.
The actress recently admitted she and the ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hitmaker have become best pals following the storyline.
She said: “We’re just hanging out. We’re bessies now. I’ve had the best night ever.”
Rick, 52, added: “I haven’t given her up and I haven’t let her down.”

Pedro Pascal will reportedly play Maxwell Lord in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pedro Pascal will reportedly play Maxwell Lord in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’.
It was announced at the beginning of the year that the 43-year-old actor had landed a role in the highly anticipated sequel to the hit Patty Jenkins movie but, at the time, it wasn’t known what part he had secured as bosses were keeping it under wraps.
However, according to SuperBroMovies, details on the part have been released and it’s believed he will be playing a powerful businessman, who will lose his psychic powers and be driven to become a god himself.
Gal Gadot is set to reprise her role as the titular character – who she has played in three DCEU movies to date – and Kristen Wiig will portrayed the villain Cheetah.
Jenkins wrote on Twitter: “So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It’s true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family.
“Can’t wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! (sic).”
Gadot added: “I’m SO excited welcome on board Kristen! This is going to be WONDERful! (sic).”
Cheetah has taken many different forms since her introduction in 1943 but Wiig is most likely to play Barbara Ann Cavendish, who has a passion for mythology and multiple archaeology degrees.
The sequel, like the original movie, will be a period piece, set towards the end of the Cold War.
There is also still a possibility that Chris Pine – whose on-screen character was killed off in the first movie – could make an unlikely return to the franchise.
‘Wonder Woman’ proved to be a huge box office success in 2017, helping to establish Gadot as one of the most sought-after female stars in the movie business.
And director Jenkins previously admitted to being shocked by how well received her movie was.

Disney is planning to use James Gunn’s script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

OHMYGOSSIP — Disney is planning to use James Gunn’s script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
The studio fired the 52-year-old filmmaker earlier this year after being made away of a series of offensive tweets he posted between 2008 and 2012, and now the director’s brother Sean has revealed the company will stay true to his sibling’s vision.
He told Tulsa World: “I don’t really know yet what’s going on with ‘Guardians 3′. I know that Disney still wants to make the movie. I know that they have every intention of using the script that my brother wrote.
“Obviously, that was a very unfortunate situation for everybody, most of all him, but I am also somebody who had been preparing to spend half a year making that movie and now that’s up in the air.”
Sean – who plays Kraglin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbusters and does motion capture work for Rocket Raccoon – commented after star Dave Bautista has repeatedly insisted he wouldn’t want to return to the franchise if James’ script wasn’t used.
The wrestler-turned-actor – who plays Drax the Destroyer in the film franchise – insisted he won’t do another film for the studio unless they agree to use the director’s work.
He said: “James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met. He’s already turned the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract – cut me out or recast me because I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.”

Nigella Lawson sleeps in two-hour bursts so she can drink tea regularly

OHMYGOSSIP — Nigella Lawson sleeps in two-hour bursts so she can drink tea regularly.
The 58-year-old television chef has a very strict, yet sparse, bedtime regime because she prefers to catnap throughout the day and hit the hay at 7:30pm so that she can get up throughout the night and stock up on the hot beverage.
Speaking during a Q&A in London earlier this week, she said: “What I like a lot about getting older is you don’t feel embarrassed about going to bed early. I’m like, ‘When can I lie down next?’ That’s all I think about really.
“I would very happily go to bed at 7.30pm. I’m not sleeping. I don’t do much but I need to be lying down. I think that in a way is a wonderful state to be in.
“I need time to wind down and that takes its own time. I make myself cups of tea as well. I sleep in only two-hour bursts and not many of them.”
The brunette beauty – who has children Cosima, 24, and Bruno, 22, with the late John Diamond – is regularly praised for her killer curves and ample assets on screen, but she has admitted she’s sometimes mistaken for being pregnant.
She said: “I’ve had people offer me a seat thinking I am pregnant when I am not.”
But that’s not the only time Nigella has been left red faced as she once got a fit of giggles in the middle of a funeral and found it very “difficult” to stop.
According to The Sun Online, she explained: “When it’s a funeral of someone you don’t really know, you’re like, ‘Oh, it feels fine’, but you know you’re not meant to laugh. Like someone who your heart is not breaking over. I just know there has to be a funny vicar. I feel very panicked. I get the giggles in inappropriate times. And then I must try and think of people I mind hadn’t died.
“Once you get the giggles it’s very difficult to stop. It’s horrible.”

Tim Allen struggled to get through the final scene in ‘Toy Story 4’ because he found it so emotional

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Allen struggled to get through the final scene in ‘Toy Story 4’ because he found it so emotional.
The 65-year-old actor voices the part of Buzz Lightyear in the money-spinning movie franchise, and Tim has revealed the film is an “incredibly great story”.
Asked whether he’s been working hard on the movie, Tim explained: “Yes, I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story.
“It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled. I couldn’t even get through the last scene. I would love to be a Washington leaker.”
Despite this, Tim tried his best to not reveal too many of the film’s secrets.
He told ‘The Talk’: “I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away. They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”
In spite of being one of the most anticipated releases of 2019, Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack walked away from the project last year over “creative and philosophical differences”.
In a statement, she added: “There is so much talent at Pixar and we remain enormous fans of their films. But it is also a culture where women and people of colour do not have an equal creative voice, as is demonstrated by their director demographics: out of the 20 films in the company’s history, only one was co-directed by a woman and only one was directed by a person of colour.
“We encourage Pixar to be leaders in bolstering, hiring, and promoting more diverse and female storytellers and leaders. We hope we can encourage all those who have felt like their voices could not be heard in the past to feel empowered.”

Ayda Field broke down in tears during ‘X Factor’ filming over the thought of sending an act home

OHMYGOSSIP — Ayda Field broke down in tears during ‘X Factor’ filming over the thought of sending an act home.
The 39-year-old judge – who appears on the panel with husband Robbie Williams – brought filming to a halt as producers were forced to take a long break when it came to telling some of the Overs group that they weren’t going to progress to the next stage.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column: “She completely broke down when she had to say ‘no’ to her contestants.
“At one point she was crying really badly and they had to stop filming. Robbie went in to console her and was hugging her and trying to calm her down. All the show’s execs were trying to help but she was a mess, it really hit her hard.”
It has been an emotional time for Ayda recently, as she and Robbie – who have children Theodora, five, and Charlton, three, together – recently welcomed daughter Colette ‘Coco’ Josephine Williams via surrogacy.
She also broke down this month when an audition song from J-Sol reminded her of her father’s Haldun Evecan’s death.
The star’s dad – who she had no contact with between the ages of three and 18 – died of a heart attack aged 68 in 2014 and the performance forced her to confront her grief as it brought back memories of her late dad.
She said: “I will never forget how the world swallowed me up on that day when I found out.
“When J-Sol sang the first note, I was like, ‘Oh my God, here we go’.
“It touched me. I feel I needed to hear that song. I needed to feel some things I wasn’t ready to deal with. I was grateful.”

Cara Delevingne ‘didn’t want to ruin someone’s life’ by reporting alleged sexual harassment

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne decided against reporting being sexually harassed because she “didn’t want to publicly ruin someone’s life”.
The 26-year-old actress has joined the thousands of women on Twitter who have been sharing their stories of abuse and harassment under the hashtag WhyIDidntReport.
Cara wrote: “Because I felt ashamed of what happened and didn’t want to publicly ruin someone’s life, even though they privately ruined mine #WhyIDidntReport (sic)”
When Cara first told her story, she refused to reveal the identity of her alleged harasser.
But in October last year, the British star admitted that the allegations were against the movie producer Harvey Weinstein.
Cara discussed the alleged incident in an Instagram post, accusing Weinstein of making advances towards her in a hotel room after asking the actress to kiss another woman.
In a lengthy message on the photo-sharing website, she said: “As soon as we were alone he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature.
“He then invited me to his room. I quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasn’t and wouldn’t be for a bit and I should go to his room. At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn’t want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation.
“When I arrived I was relieved to find another woman in his room and thought immediately I was safe. He asked us to kiss and she began some sort of advances upon his direction. I swiftly got up and asked him if he knew that I could sing. And I began to sing….i thought it would make the situation better….more professional….like an audition….i was so nervous.
“After singing I said again that I had to leave. He walked me to the door and stood in front of it and tried to kiss me on the lips. I stopped him and managed to get out of the room. (sic)”

JK Rowling defends casting of Claudia Kim in Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald

OHMYGOSSIP — JK Rowling has defended the decision to cast a South Korean actress as Voldemort’s snake Nagini in ‘Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald’.
A recent teaser of the upcoming movie showed Claudia Kim turning from a woman into a snake, but the casting has prompted complaints from some fans.
JK – whose film series has been criticised for its lack of representation of non-white actors and actresses – responded to the complaints on Twitter, saying: “The Naga are snake-like mythical creatures of Indonesian mythology, hence the name ‘Nagini.’ They are sometimes depicted as winged, sometimes as half-human, half-snake. Indonesia comprises a few hundred ethnic groups, including Javanese, Chinese and Betawi. Have a lovely day [snake emoji] (sic)”
The upcoming movie stars the likes of Johnny Depp, Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law.
And ‘Fantastic Beasts’ producer David Heyman recently hailed Johnny, saying he’s an “extraordinary” actor.
He said: “We wanted someone who was extraordinary, who was a little bit off-centre, who had the charisma and the power to [match up to] the wonderful adversary [we had with] Ralph Fiennes. Voldemort was someone who was pure – you know, he knew no love, and he only knew hate. Grindelwald is a different beast.
“There’s something about Grindelwald – he’s a seducer – and he has no problem wielding his wand, as it were.”
Meanwhile, director David Yates has praised Jude’s portrayal of Dumbledore.
He said: “We’re seeing Dumbledore as a young man, and Dumbledore as a young man’s quite a rebel.
“He’s a wonderful manipulator, and he has this incredible ability to sort of manoeuvre people into situations that they may not want to be manoeuvred into. And Jude brings this amazing freshness and sexiness and sensuality and sort of wit and sort of charisma to the role.”

Brian Capron thought Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan storyline was “a bit harsh”

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Capron thought Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan storyline was “a bit harsh”.
The 71-year-old star played one of the ITV soap’s most notorious killers Richard Hillman – who carried out a reign of terror from 2001 to 2003 – and while he thought Connor McIntyre (Phelan) did a “great job” on the show, Brian believes the plot was unpleasantly rough at times.
He said: “I met him at the Soap Awards and he’s done really well and done a great job with the storyline. But it [the Phelan storyline] was a bit harsh.”
Brian admits humour tended to play a part in Richard’s evil crimes, which saw the character famously dubbed “Norman Bates with a briefcase” by his wife Gail Platt (Helen Worth).
He is quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying: “Richard was interrupted from trying to kill Emily on Christmas Day and it was funny at the same time with a little wink to the audience.”
Brian recently claimed Richard would have defeated Phelan if there was ever a battle between the two ‘Corrie’ serial killers.
He said: “It’s mad Richard still gets mentioned in ‘Corrie’ but they’ve just had another famous murderer, Phelan, so perhaps he takes my mantle now.
“Richard’s deviousness might have got to Phelan in the end! He’d be up against Phelan’s brutality but maybe Richard would’ve come up with a plan that wrong-footed him.
“I’ve still got that briefcase. Gail’s line calling him ‘Norman Bates with a briefcase’ was classic.”
And he is always amazed that people still recognise him for playing the chilling part.
He said: “I feel grateful for playing Richard because that story was special with so many twists.
“It’s lovely having a little place in soap history.”

Karen Gillan has joined the cast of ‘Call of the Wild’

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Gillan has joined the cast of ‘Call of the Wild’.
The ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ star has signed up to star alongside Harrison Ford and Dan Stevens in the live-action motion picture, which is based on the 1903 Jack London novel of the same name set in Yukon, Canada, during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush.
According to Deadline, Gillan will take on the role of Mercedes, who is inexperienced at surviving in the Northern wilderness, in the movie.
Ford will play the part of experienced outdoorsman John Thornton, who hunts for gold in the Yukon, one of the Canada’s three federal territories.
It’s not yet known who Stevens will portray, but Omar Sy and Colin Woodell have also signed up for the film.
Chris Sanders is set to direct the motion picture from a script by Michael Green, and the movie is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day 2019 (25.12.19).
Diana Pokorny and Ryan Stafford will executive produce the project, and Erwin Stoff will produce.
Clark Gable previously took on the role of Thornton in 1935’s ‘Call of the Wild’, alongside Loretta Young, Jack Oakie and Reginald Owen.
What’s more, Charlton Heston played the part in a 1972 big screen adaption of the book.
Gillan is currently in the final stages of filming the next ‘Avengers’ movie – the title of which is yet to be revealed – as her ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ character Nebula, and production will begin on her ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ sequel next year.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ actress is expected to fit in filming for ‘Call of the Wild’ in between the two projects.

Bradley Walsh was forced to wear a grey wig to play a granddad in ‘Doctor Who’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Walsh was forced to wear a grey wig to play a granddad in ‘Doctor Who’.
The 58-year-old television presenter portrays companion Graham O’Brien in the new series of the sci-fi show but he has admitted he had to have a hair piece specially created for him because producers didn’t think he looked old enough for the role.
Speaking to reporters at the ‘Doctor Who’ series 11 premiere in London this week, he said: “I had to wear a wig, because fortunately at this precise moment at my age I’m not too grey. I needed to be much much greyer.”
BBC bosses were initially hoping that he would dye his hair for the part, but due to his on-going commitments as the presenter of ITV’s ‘The Chase’ – which is filmed at the same time as the BBC series – he was banned from making any drastic changes.
He explained: “Rather than colour my hair – because of another job I do – I had to have a wig made. I’ve never worn a wig before; I quite liked it! I liked the transformation – it was really good, excellent.”
He then joked: “And I’m now having one made for weekends. But blonde.”
Bradley was cast as a companion alongside Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill and he has admitted he feels so “proud” to be part of such an “iconic show” – especially as this is the first series that will see a woman – Jodie Whittaker – play the Time Lord.
He explained: “Look, it’s an iconic show, it’s a global phenomenon. Everyone knows ‘Doctor Who’. It’s an extraordinary thing to be in. And I’m very proud and privileged to be part of it. Not just the fact that it’s going in a new direction. It looks sensational. We’ve got people like Jamie Childs who want to come and direct it. Chris Chibnall, my old boss from Law & Order, wanted me to be in it.
“So consequently, I feel very proud a) to have been asked, and b) to have been assembled alongside Jodie, Tosin [Cole] and Mandip [Gill]. We’ve become pals through this. And I actually can’t wait to see the rest of the series.”

Gwyneth Paltrow “broke out” of post-natal depression without using medication

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow “broke out” of post-natal depression without using medication.
The 46-year-old actress felt down following the birth of her son Moses, 12 – who she shares with Chris Martin – and despite being offered antidepressants by her doctor, she found exercising and quitting alcohol helped her to feel better again.
Gwyneth – who also has 14-year-old daughter Apple with Chris – said: “I had postnatal depression, as you know, after my son. A doctor tried to put me on antidepressants and I thought, if I need them, then yes, I’ll come back to it.
“I thought, well, what if I went to therapy and I started exercising again, and I stopped drinking alcohol and I just gave myself a period of regeneration and I slept more? I really broke out of it.”
The ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ star clarified that antidepressants can be “lifesavers” for others, but she wanted to seek alternative therapies.
Speaking on her latest Goop podcast, she added: “They are lifesavers for certain people for sure.”
Gwyneth recently admitted she found it “really shocking” that she suffered from post-natal depression after Moses was born.
She said: “I think [it] was really shocking to me because I never thought that I would be a person who got post-natal depression.
“I was so euphoric when Apple was born, and I assumed it would happen with Mosey and it just … it took a while. I really went into a dark place.”
The ‘Mortdecai’ star – who is engaged to Brad Falchuk – previously said she felt like a “zombie” after Moses was born, which made her worry she was a “terrible” mother.
She explained: “I felt like a zombie. I couldn’t access my heart. I couldn’t access my emotions. I couldn’t connect.
“It was terrible, it was the exact opposite of what had happened when Apple was born. With her, I was on cloud nine. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t the same. I just thought it meant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person.”

Kelle Bryan was forced to reject a role on ‘Hollyoaks’ two years ago

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelle Bryan was forced to reject a role on ‘Hollyoaks’ two years ago.
The Eternal singer has signed up to play Simone Loveday’s (Jacqueline Boatswain) sister Martine Deveraux on the Channel 4 soap next month, and she nearly joined the cast in 2016 but had to turn down an offer from the show’s bosses after suffering a stroke in 2016.
She said: “Two years ago I auditioned for ‘Hollyoaks’ and was offered the role but I was too poorly to take it.
“I can’t tell you, it was like the worst best thing that’s ever happened to you. The best thing was I got the offer, the worst thing was I had to turn it down.
“It was awful. I just thought, ‘Well that’s it now, that ship has sailed’.”
The 43-year-old star was “really happy” to be given another chance to appear on the soap, but is “nervous” about the role.
She added to The Sun Online: “You just never get a second chance like this. You think once it’s gone it’s gone. So I was really happy but nervous as hell but just happy to have the opportunity.”
Last year, Kelle opened up about suffering from a stroke, which occurred due to complications from the auto immune condition lupus, after which she had to learn to read, write and talk again.
She signed up to star in ‘Wings’, a play about a stroke sufferer in which the cast all have experience of the life-threatening condition, and after she “really struggled” to recognise words she found the script aided her recovery.
Speaking in October 2017, she said: “This is my first job since the stroke. Which is amazing. It was so meant to be. Its karma. It’s so special for me because it was hard to get the confidence for a casting room, I was so nervous. I had a tick, and I just didn’t want to be in-front of people. This sort of job is unheard of.
“My stroke happened last April. I went into hospital for a fairly minor operation, but because I have lupus, I caught a major infection and ended up in intensive care and then had a stroke.
“Recognition of words was something I really struggled with. I had to learn to read and write again. Words appeared jumbled up – I didn’t recognise them as words. But the script is also occasionally written with sentences all jumbled up and I would auto correct them, because I was going through speech therapy training.”
