Simon Cowell bans X Factor staff from dating contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has banned his ‘X Factor’ staff from dating any of the contestants.
The 58-year-old music mogul has reportedly issued a formal warning to the ITV show’s production team informing them that they are “strictly forbidden” from striking up any romantic relations with the hopefuls – including making any “social arrangements” – and anyone who breaks the rules will risk being fired.
A source told The Sun Online: “Simon and the team have made it very clear this year that crew should not be getting any closer to those on the show any more than they need to in a professional manner.”
Simon felt the need to send the stern note to his staff after last year’s Myles Stephenson of Rak-Su grew close to researcher Demi Kaye.
The insider explained: “They weren’t happy last year about one of the crew and Myles hooking up. They felt it was something they didn’t need to tell people not to do, and yet it still happened. The note was very matter-of-fact and the senior executives are expecting it to be taken seriously.”
Myles developed a bit of a reputation for himself last year as he also attempted to woo Cheryl Tweedy – who appeared at the Judges’ Houses – even though she was in a relationship with now-ex-boyfriend Liam Payne at the time.
The 28-year-old hunk gave Cheryl the eye but she turned him down immediately.
She said with a giggle: “I’m taken, sorry.”
Liam later appeared on the show for a solo performance and admitted that he was “keeping an eye” on Myles because he had the hots for the brunette beauty.
He joked: “He fancies my missus so I’ve got to keep an eye on him.”

Cate Blanchett advised by family

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett gets career advice from her children.
The 49-year-old actress – who has Dashiell, 16, Roman, 14, Ignatius, 10, and Edith, four, with husband Andrew Upton – likes to show prospective scripts to her brood to find out if it’s something that would capture their interest.
She told Who magazine: “I seek their opinions all the time. Particularly with a film like [‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’], you want to know, ‘Is this something you want to go and see?’ ”
And it was her oldest son’s enthusiasm that made her sign up for ‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’.
She added: “When I was sent the script, I said to [Dashiell], “They’re going to get Eli Roth to direct this. Isn’t he the guy that does all the horror?’ And he goes, ‘Oh my god. You put Eli Roth on an Amblin film? That’s combustible’. ”
While the ‘Notes on a Scandal’ star likes to take advice from her kids, she recently admitted they think she is really “uncool”.
She said: “They do and they don’t [watch my films.] My son gave me some great career advice a few years ago, he said, ‘Mum, when are you going to make a blockbuster?’
“I said, ‘I was in ‘Lord of the Rings’!’ And he said, ‘Yeah for about 30 seconds.’ So it didn’t really count. I had no brownie points with my children.”
Her co-star Jack Black – who has sons Samuel, 12, and Thomas, 10, with Tanya Haden – added: “My boys, they actually prefer the work of Will Ferrell. I think it’s natural that kids think that their parents are really uncool and embarrassing.”

Katie Price’s home stinks of pussy pee

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price’s estranged husband Kieran Hayler has claimed her cats used to wee on his clothes and her home stinks of urine.
The former stripper moved out of Katie’s £2 million mansion in May as their four-year marriage hit the rocks in the wake of his infidelities.
Kieran has now spilled on what life was like at his former family home and has claimed her bald pussies Dobby and Hagrid – who are the rare Sphynx breed – created an awful stench because they marked their territory all around the property.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, he said: “When I left, yes, that cat p***ed everywhere. On all of my f***ing clothes in the wardrobe. Everywhere. And whether or not it was p***ing there because it was trying to prove that he was more of a man than me, I don’t know. But that cat p***ed everywhere, so God knows.
“There were two of them: Dobby and Hagrid. Now Hagrid’s the only one left because Dobby got re-homed, because they were p***ing everywhere. When I left that house, that bald f***ing cat p***ed everywhere. When there were two of them it was even worse because they were marking their territory all around that bloody house.”
Kieran, 31, also claims the nine-bedroom house – which was the scene of a fire earlier in September – was left dirty by Katie’s dog, which would regularly slobber all around the rooms.
He added: “The dogs were in the house as well. There were Trevor and Vera that were Dogue de Bordeaux which are massive. Those big slobbery monsters. Vera died two years ago and Trevor was very lonely so Trevor came to live in the house and yeah Trevor was massive, huge, like a horse. Literally slobber would go everywhere.”
Kieran – who has two children, Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with the ‘Loose Women’ panellist – also revealed that there are even more animals living in the house; “Marvin the chameleon and Peggy the hedgehog”.
Katie, 40, is currently staying at rehab facility The Priory where she is being treated for post-traumatic stress disorder.
As well as her two kids with Kieran, the busty beauty also has Harvey, 16, from her relationship with retired soccer player Dwight Yorke and Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, whom she had with her first husband Peter Andre.

Gladys Knight to honour Aretha Franklin at AMAs

OHMYGOSSIP — Gladys Knight will pay tribute to the late Aretha Franklin at the American Music Awards.
The 74-year-old music icon will honour her friend – who passed away last month at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer – by singing a tribute inspired by the Queen of Soul’s gospel roots and her 1972 album ‘Amazing Grace’ at the ceremony which takes place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on October 9.
Sabrina Owens – Aretha’s niece and the executor of her estate – said in a statement: “When I heard some of the initial ideas for the tribute, I knew without a doubt that this tribute will go down as one of the best in American music.”
Gladys performed both ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ at Aretha’s funeral and she later admitted she wasn’t sure if she would be able to get through the tracks without breaking down.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘This Morning’, she said: “I didn’t know if I’d get through that. But yeah, [I did it] for her. She was 14 and I was nine when we first met, and we’ve known each other for that long a time. We both lived in Detroit … We just had a wonderful, wonderful thing. Back in those days entertainers weren’t so competitive as they are now.”
The ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’ hitmaker and her friend – who were respectively known as the Goddess and Queen of Soul – lived just 10 minutes away from each other, and formed a close bond.
Other performers confirmed for this year’s AMAs include ‘I Like It’ rapper Cardi B, ‘Eastside’ hitmaker Halsey and ‘GTFO’ songstress, Mariah Carey.

Gisele Bündchen is ‘grateful’ for her ‘bonus child’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bündchen is “so grateful” for her step-son Jack, whom she calls her “bonus child”.
The 38-year-old supermodel had her relationship with now-husband Tom Brady rocked in 2007, when just two months into their romance they discovered that Tom’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan was pregnant with the sports star’s first child, a son named John ‘Jack’ Edward Thomas, now 11.
And although the situation wasn’t “ideal” for anybody involved, Gisele – who now also has son Benjamin, eight, and daughter Vivian, five, with Tom – “couldn’t imagine” her life without the youngster.
She said: “It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone – there’s no manual to prepare you for that. But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child. He opened my heart in ways I didn’t even know my heart could expand.”
Watching Tom and Jack bond made Gisele want her own children with the NFL star – whom she married in 2009 – and although she knew she wanted to become a parent, she says a “part of her died” when she had her first child.
She added: “When I became a mom, I kind of lost myself. It was like a part of me died. I’d been this very independent person. It was all about me. But now I had this little being, and I suddenly felt l couldn’t do other things and that was very hard for me. All I ever wanted was to be a mom, but when you’re actually experiencing that, it’s a shock.”
Gisele is gearing up to release her new memoir, ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’, and has said she decided to pen the tome because she thought it was “time to share” her “vulnerabilities”.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: “Things can be looking perfect on the outside, but you have no idea what’s really going on. I felt like maybe it was time to share some of my vulnerabilities, and it made me realise, everything I’ve lived through, I would never change, because I think I am who I am because of those experiences.”

Emmerdale’s Ash Palmisciano wants Matty Barton to date Victoria Sugden

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Ash Palmisciano doesn’t know if Matty Barton and Victoria Sugden will get together after she told him she wants nothing to do with him.
The barmaid – played by Isabel Hodgins – told her long-time friend that their relationship was over after she found out that his mother Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) had murdered psychotic nurse Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) last year.
Speaking to the Metro.co.uk, Ash said: “Victoria says that it changes everything with Matty and he’s heartbroken by it all and doesn’t know what to do.
“When it came to it and the police were there, Matty had to choose between Moira and Victoria and he chose his mum because he’s a true Barton. He’s got to stand by his mum because she stuck by him – he’s like, this is the least I can do. It’s a nice step in their relationship – it’s left him heartbroken though. I’m interested to see how that will play out.
“Matty has admitted he has feelings for Victoria but at the moment, Victoria wants nothing to do with him and she actually goes on to pursue other people. That might push Matty to make a statement, we’ll see.”
Their relationship initially confused viewers but Ash is pleased that people are starting to warm to the idea because the way their love has blossomed is real.
Ash explained: “It’s really interesting because at first, there was a lot of people saying that they’re childhood friends and it’s weird for them to get together. But I suppose in life that does happen sometimes, people are friends first and then a relationship develops.
“But I think some fans are worried that it will ruin the friendship. Weirdly, in the last few weeks, more people have been up for them being together so it does change. We’ll have to see, like all romances, it won’t run smoothly, it’d be boring wouldn’t it? So there’ll be a few heartaches first before anything happens.”

EastEnders’ Tiffany Butcher lands herself in danger

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Tiffany Butcher lands herself in even more danger next week when she issues her vindictive boyfriend Jagger Rawley with an ultimatum.
The flame-haired teenager – played by Maisie Smith – is still completely oblivious to the fact she’s got herself caught up in a scheming grooming plot, but things are set to step up a notch over the next coming episodes as she begins to question what the gang leader (Aaron Ward) is up to and begs him to let her in on it.
Things start to become dangerous when Jagger gives Tiffany a second mobile so that she can contact him without her sister Whitney (Shona McGarty) finding out.
However, when she fails to get hold of her beau and he starts to withdraw from her, Tiffany enlists the help of her best friend Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris).
Tiffany eventually manages to get hold of Jagger and he invites her to meet him – although she’s fuming when he turns up with his gang in tow.
Bernadette finds herself caught up in the mayhem when she discovers her pal’s other mobile and decides to help sort out their relationship, but her intentions back fire when Jagger finds out and vows to make her pay for her meddling.
Jagger later sweetens Tiffany up with a necklace and a fancy meal out – encouraging her to turn against Bernadette – but she’s still completely unaware that he’s using her as part of his vindictive plan, according to the Metro.co.uk.
As their fake romance continues to blossom in Tiffany’s eyes, Jagger agrees to take her on another date, but this time she stands her ground when he receives a phone call and she learns that he’s secretly paying a girl to store phones for him.
Tiffany then tells Jagger that she wants to be part off whatever he’s up to otherwise she’ll leave him – but little does she know that that’s been his plan the whole time.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Marsh’s pet dog Rosie is home again after being hospitalised with a serious illness.
The 39-year-old star’s Rottweiler – who spent several days receiving treatment at the vet’s in June due to poisoning – fell ill this week with ileus, which caused her intestines to fail.
Jodie had feared the worst when Rosie needed the emergency vet’s treatment but luckily her mutt mate has been discharged and is recuperating at home and getting lots of “belly rubs and ear strokes” to make her feel better.
In a series of Twitter posts, she revealed: “Rosie is home!!!!! (Again). I’m not allowing myself to get too excited as I’ve been here before but she will be resting & hopefully recovering at home now! I’m sooooooo happy to have her back with me & the other dogs.
“Rosie has been sleeping a lot since she got home. She’s a tired girl. I’ve been giving her lots of belly rubs and ear strokes. She’s very happy and relaxed. I’m exhausted myself. It’s been a stressful week. Early night is called for me thinks x (sic)”

Audrey Hepburn ‘never thought’ she was beautiful

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrey Hepburn “never thought she was beautiful”, according to her son Luca Dotti.
The iconic actress was known for being a film and fashion icon before her tragic passing in 1993 at the age of 63 after suffering from appendix cancer, and although she is still idolised by many for her good looks, her son Luca – whom she had with her second husband, Andrea Dotti – has claimed she battled crippling insecurity throughout her life.
He said: “I look at photographs, and it’s something I try to answer. I don’t know … it’s … something. She never thought she was beautiful. She didn’t have the uniform beauty of her time. Her own mother made fun of her, calling her the ugly duckling. My grandmother always joked that my mother was this tall, slim, thing without curves – never a sexy beast. And my mother kept that insecurity: the thought that maybe tomorrow would change and she’d be ugly again.
“When I look back, I see she was very elegant. My mother had an innate charm whether in official photos, or captured by the paparazzi. That is something you cannot buy.”
And although the ‘My Fair Lady’ star has become a Hollywood icon, Luca says she was a “sincere person”, who wasn’t interested in the fame she had received.
The 48-year-old former graphic designer said: “For a long time, I had difficulty bringing the two parts together – the real Audrey and the fantasy – but, now, I thank you; all of you. You perceived her for what she was and not as someone else.
“This wasn’t a Kardashian-type celebrity. She was a sincere person – you got what you could see. In many of her movies, she’s not really acting – she is herself – with the exception of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s because Holly was a different type of girl.”
Instead of stardom, the ‘Sabrina’ actress was more interested in domesticity, and Luca says his mother – who also had 58-year-old son Sean Hepburn Ferrer with actor Mel Ferrer – had always dreamed of starting a family.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Luca said: “By the time she had me and my brother she was in her 30s – and 30 years older by experience. She’d had the war, her career, lived all over the world. She wanted a home, a garden, dogs, children. She’d played her part. Her attitude was: ‘I did enough, and now I want to enjoy my family’. Her dream was to be a mother, which she’d wanted all her life.”

Scott Disick wants another baby with Kourtney Kardashian

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Disick wants another baby with Kourtney Kardashian.
The 35-year-old reality star already has Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three, with his former partner, and although he’s now romancing 20-year-old Sofia Richie, it has been claimed by Kourtney’s sister Kim Kardashian West that he told her he wants to have one more tot with his former flame.
Speaking in a promotional clip for Sunday’s (30.09.18) episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, 37-year-old Kim told family friend Larsa Pippen: “So Scott just texts me that he wants to have another baby with Kourtney. I think he just wants one more, and she wants one more.”
To which Larsa agreed, and added: “She definitely wants more kids. If they both want to have more kids, why not have them together? Their kids are gorgeous.”
At the time of filming, 39-year-old Kourtney was in a relationship with Younes Bendjima – whom she split with over the summer – and although both parties were spoken for, Kim was convinced a fourth child could still be a possibility for the former couple.
She said: “I mean, it’s like, Scott has a girlfriend, Kourtney has a boyfriend – we get it. They don’t even have to have sex. It could be IVF.
“I have to tell the rest of the family to be like, ‘Guys, should we encourage this?’ How cute will that be? They have to have another baby!”
And Kim – who has North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, eight months, with her husband Kanye West – can’t help but admit she’s hoping her sister and Scott get back together one day.
She added: “If she’s going to have another baby, why don’t they just have one together even if they’re not together? I think that I do hold onto this hope of Kourtney and Scott, just because I’m so used to them being together.”

Ozzy Osbourne ordered 3,000 pounds of ice because he was hot

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne ordered 3,000 pounds of ice to fill up his pool – just because he was too hot.
The 69-year-old found himself suffering in the hot weather this summer, and decided to put his fortune to good use when he had the hefty amount of frozen water delivered to his home so he could cool off in his pool.
His wife Sharon Osbourne said: “He ordered it and it came in a big truck and one of those big cranes brought it in. It was fabulous. [The pool was] too hot, he couldn’t get it cold enough.”
Unfortunately for the Black Sabbath rocker, the ice melted away fairly quickly, and so he now has a “special machine” which keeps his pool cold no matter the weather.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Thursday (27.09.18), Sharon, 65, added: “And then that melted in like two minutes, so now he’s got a special machine put in the pool to make it ice cold.”
The luxurious new pool accessory comes after Sharon recently admitted that sex has become a “bone of contention” in the Osbourne household, because Ozzy is “just like a rabbit”.
Sharon said: “This is a bone of contention in our house. Because he’s got a problem. He’s just like a rabbit. I am like, birthdays, Christmas. At this point in my life, it’s special occasions.”
The couple have had well documented rough patches when it comes to Ozzy’s sex addiction, and the rocker previously said his addiction to sex is far worse than substance abuse, because the consequences are much higher.
He said: “I was scared to death. My first wife divorced me because of my playing around. It’s by far the worst addiction that I have. When I was drinking or doing drugs, I was affecting myself physically but with the sex addiction, it affects everybody. It made me realise what a complete idiot I was. I sat down and thought, ‘What the hell have I done?’ I can’t imagine life without Sharon. She’s my soulmate. I love her. I can honestly say that I’ve never loved any other woman besides Sharon. I’ve got a crazy-assed way of showing it but she’s the love of my life.”

Finty Williams: I hate being compared to Dame Judi Dench

OHMYGOSSIP — Finty Williams hates it when people compare her to her mother, Dame Judi Dench.
The 46-year-old actress admits that it “pi***s her off” when people put her down as “not as good as” her Hollywood icon mum, as although she doesn’t believe she is at the same level as her mother, there are “80 people who aren’t as good” as herself.
In an interview with the Times, she said: “A lot of people want to go, ‘She’s not as good as her mother,’ which is true, but I can also name you another 80 people who probably aren’t as good.
“It pi***s me off, being pre-judged. That pi***s me off, pi***s me off hugely. Just because I don’t think it’s fair.
“I don’t know whether, if your father is a brain surgeon, people go, ‘He’s not as good a brain surgeon as his father.’
“I don’t know whether that happens, but because of who Ma is, a lot of people have an opinion, which they form before they get to know me or before they see what I can do.”
The ‘Mrs Brown’ star knows that she will always live in the shadow of her 83-year-old mother – who has one the Academy Award, a Tony, four television BAFTA Awards, six film, and seven Laurence Olivier Awards – and although she thinks her mother is amazing, she doesn’t wish to be anyone else but herself.
She said: “If it was Grand National day, she [Dench] is up and leaping Becher’s Brook and I’m in the novice race at the beginning, and you think about all the hundreds of actors between me and her.
“She is jaw-dropping, but I also happen to think that Helen McCrory is jaw-droppingly brilliant. I happen to think Ruth Wilson is jaw-droppingly brilliant.
“I don’t aspire to be any of those people. I’m me, and I’ve got the cards that I’ve been dealt.”

Cher feared she was ‘losing her son’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher feared she was losing her son Chaz when he came out as lesbian and later, as transgender.
The 72-year-old icon – who is an outspoken activist for the LGBTQ community – has admitted she was left searching for answers when Chaz initially discussed the issues of sexuality and gender identity with her.
Speaking about Chaz – whose father was Sonny Bono, Cher’s first husband – she explained: “This is what I think, and this is what I would hope: I would hope that, look, I didn’t go through it that easily. Both times.
“When I found out Chaz was gay, I didn’t go through it that easily; when I found out Chaz was [transitioning] … except we talked about it a lot, actually.
“But then Chaz didn’t mention it anymore, so I kind of forgot. And what I think is, there’s such a fear of losing the child you love, and what will replace that child.”
The chart-topping star admitted she worried she would be losing her child and the person she’d loved for so long.
Cher – who also has a 42-year-old son called Elijah with her second husband, Gregg Allman – told Pride Source: “I think it’s about the fear, mostly. I felt, who will this new person be?
“Because I know who the person is now, but who will the new person be and how will it work and will I have lost somebody?
“And then I thought of something else: I thought, my god, if I woke up tomorrow and I was a man, I would be gouging my eyes out. And so I know that if that’s what you feel then that must be so painful that it doesn’t make any difference what anyone else feels or what anyone else thinks.
“Chaz is so happy now and we get along better than ever.”

Nicki Minaj: Critics are waiting to see my fall

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj thinks her critics are waiting to see her “fall”.
The 35-year-old star has claimed that some people hope she is soon usurped as the most popular female rapper in the music industry.
Nicki – who was involved in a confrontation with Cardi B during New York Fashion Week – told Wonderland magazine’s Autumn 2018 issue: “I’ve been at the top of this totem pole for a very long time. Sometimes people just want to see someone who’s been at the top fall, just to see if it can happen.”
The ‘Barbie Dreams’ hitmaker said that the mentality reflects the “sadistic part of being human”.
Nicki argued that most people “wouldn’t be able to deal with it, my level of ridicule”.
She added: “Most people mentally aren’t strong enough to handle this pressure.”
Earlier this week, British model Naomi Campbell admitted she was “disappointed” by Nicki and Cardi’s recent fight.
The world-famous duo argued at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons bash at New York Fashion Week, with Cardi even throwing her shoe at Nicki – and Naomi has revealed she was disappointed to hear about the dramatic incident.
She said: “It was called an icon party, but there were no icons there. Kate [Moss] and I were at home on the couch watching TV … I was disappointed [by the fight].”
Naomi also felt the fight between the bitter rivals was against the spirit of what music is supposed to represent.
She explained: “I don’t want to see women of colour fight. I don’t want to see women fight period. Not there, not that.
“It’s all music. There’s no division of music. Music’s for everybody, there’s no discrimination, so I felt very disappointed.”

Kanye West replaces Ariana Grande on Saturday Night Live

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West is to replace Ariana Grande on ‘Saturday Night Live’ after she cancelled her appearance for “emotional reasons”.
The 25-year-old singer – whose ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, died of a suspected drug overdose earlier this month – has withdrawn from the premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’s new season, and executive producer Lorne Michaels has confirmed that Kanye will now be the musical act for this season’s opening.
He told Cadence13’s ORIGINS podcast: “We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago. And then Kanye stepped up, so he’ll be there.”
Ariana recently admitted on Twitter that she is “so f***ing tired” and is desperately waiting for things to get better.
She wrote on the micro-blogging website: “can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls … i’m so f***ing tired pls … jus wake me up when i’m supposed to sing or whatever. peace (sic)”
Ariana’s fans immediately tweeted the singer, concerned for her, but she quickly replied to insist she was doing okay on the whole and thanked them for their support.
She shared: “ty for loving me sm i do not deserve it … ur angels in my life. it’s just been a tough month. i’m trying to get my work done and get back to normal and it’s hard and i’m human and tired. sorry i let u in or worried u. i shouldn’t have tweeted. i kno better. (sic)”
Ariana has also been battling anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder after 23 died following a suicide bombing at her concert in Manchester last year.
She previously shared: “It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing.
“I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.
“Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything.”

Ryan Gosling felt the pressure filming First Man

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling felt under pressure on the set of his latest movie.
The 37-year-old actor plays the role of American astronaut Neil Armstrong – who was the first person to walk on the Moon – in the new biopic ‘First Man’, but Ryan has admitted to feeling a bit anxious about saying Armstrong’s iconic line about taking a “giant leap for mankind”.
Ryan confessed: “I was worried about it. It hung over me as it is the most famous line, and a beautiful thing to say.
“Neil didn’t think about it ahead of time, so I tried not to think about it too much.”
Ryan also admitted to feeling under extra pressure after he met with members of Armstrong’s family.
He told ‘The Graham Norton Show’: “Neil’s sons wanted all the stories and context to shed new light on their father.
“It was the greatest challenge I have been part of and it was the biggest relief that, after they saw the film, they said, ‘All our lives we have been asked what it is like to be the sons of the first man on the moon. Now we can say: go and see the film.'”
The Hollywood star went through an extensive training process in preparation for the unusual role.
But he said that the real-life experiences of astronauts put his own stresses into some sort of context.
He explained: “I went into a multi-axis trainer and don’t remember much about it.
“The director asked for more speed which I hated. But it was hard to complain when there were men on the set that would say, ‘You know when I went to the moon.'”
