Candice Brown’s Great Wedding Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Candice Brown’s fellow ‘Great British Bake Off’ contestants all made a cake for her wedding.
The former PE teacher married Liam Macaulay in France last month and her guests had lots of sweet treats to choose from because the hopefuls from the 2016 tent came up with 12 unique desserts.
Candice said: “There will never be another wedding-cake table like that – there was enough to feed about 300 people.
“They reflected each of them and me. Val [Stones] made a pug bride and groom, while Selasi [Gbormittah] biked over handmade chocolate from Switzerland.”
The 33-year-old baker and her tree surgeon spouse’s beloved pet dogs, Dennis the pug and pomeranian Sybil, were guests of honour at the wedding – and almost stole the show by causing chaos.
Candice told HELLO! magazine: “They are such a big part of our lives, there was no way they were not going to be there for the wedding.
“Dennis started rolling around in my dress and veil and nearly pulled it off my head at one point – it was one of the funniest, most typical Dennis things ever.
“And Sybil was staring up at Liam as if to say, ‘It should have been me. They both adore Liam.”
The couple designed their own wedding rings, which were engraved with the date of their nuptials, and Candice admitted that, though she’s a big fan of vintage jewellery, it was important for her that her band was made just for her.
She said: “I have a thing about vintage jewellery as I like to think how it has been part of other people’s lives and made them happy.
“But I wanted the wedding ring to be just mine, not to have been anyone else’s.”

Holly Willoughby fears show disaster

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby is worried her stint hosting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ will be a “disaster”.
The 37-year-old star will join Declan Donnelly to co-host the reality show while Ant McPartlin continues with his recovery and she admitted her ‘This Morning’ co-presenter Phillip Schofield found her new job hilarious because he doesn’t think she’ll cope being close to so many insects and spiders.
Philip said: “Holly phoned me up and said ‘I’ve been offered this, what do you think?’ and I said, ‘You have to take it it’s amazing!’ ”
Holly added: “Then he laughed at me a lot.”
Her pal explained: “Holly can’t handle a fly coming at her! So Australia where everything kills you…”
Holly said: “I know, I know, it’s going to be a complete disaster.
“But anyway I’m doing it and I’m completely excited about it and, obviously leaving Phil at any point is horrible but…”
The blonde beauty confirmed ITV have already signed up a replacement co-presenter for ‘This Morning’ while she’s in Australia and she feels reassured that Phillip, 56, will be left in “safe hands”.
Asked by ‘Good Morning Britain’ host if they know who will be replacing Holly on the daytime show, she said: “We do… he’s in very safe hands.
“Whenever I leave him I want to make sure he’s looked after and he’s with somebody and it’s all nice.”
But her co-presenter didn’t seem so reassured as he’s not looking forward to working without Holly.
He said: “I will miss you horribly.”
Holly replied: “I know, it will be horrible but it won’t be for long.”
Phillip quipped: “It’s telly, easy come, easy go.”

Mckenna Grace lands role in Annabelle 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Mckenna Grace is set to star in ‘Annabelle 3’.
The 12-year-old actress – who is starring in ‘Captain Marvel’ and Netflix’s ‘The Haunting of Hill House’, which starts later this month – is tapped to play Ed and Lorraine Warren’s daughter, Judy, who becomes the main target of the possessed doll and draws on the experiences of her two babysitters, Deadline reports.
‘The Conjuring’ franchise’s Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson play Ed and Lorraine Warren in the popular horror series, but it’s not yet been revealed whether they’ll be starring alongside Mckenna in the horror spin-off.
Gary Dauberman will make his directorial debut for the demonic doll’s third instalment after previously being best-known for his scripts for ‘Annabelle’, ‘IT’ and 2018’s ‘The Nun’.
Speaking about the latest ‘Annabelle’ film during July’s Comic-Con’s ScareDiego event, the ‘Annabelle 3’ director said: “It really picks up with the Warrens bringing Annabelle to the place where it can really no longer wreak havoc, which is their artefact room. But, of course, it turns out she can also wreak havoc there.”
James Wan – who directed ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘The Conjuring 2’ – quickly added: “It’s basically ‘Night At The Museum’ with Annabelle!”
The horror movie is yet to be given an official title, but it’s been confirmed that filming will start next month.
It is the sixth film in ‘The Conjuring’ franchise, which has already grossed more than $1.5 billion globally.

Djimon Hounsou cast in the Charlie’s Angels reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Djimon Hounsou has been added to the cast of the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot.
The 54-year-old actor – who previously starred as Cinque in the Steven Spielberg film ‘Amistad’ – has joined the likes of Elizabeth Banks and Sir Patrick Stewart as one of the film’s multiple Bosleys.
The character was previously the face of the never-seen Charlie Townsend, the owner of a detective agency.
Elizabeth, 44, is also helming the reboot, with Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska set to play the iconic Angels.
She is working with a script written by Jay Basu and Banks, based on earlier drafts by Craig Mazin and Semi Chellas, according to Variety.
The upcoming movie will centre on the next generation of Angels and is scheduled for release in September next year.
In August, Kristen revealed she had started boxing to ensure she is in the best possible shape to shoot the movie.
She said: “I have been boxing a bit, which I have never done. I am so addicted to it. As soon as I have to actually start sparring though, I realise what I am doing is intended to fight people. I am like, it really is assaulting and I really hate it.
“But all I am doing lately is talking to Liz, and can’t wait to meet the other girls and I leave on Sunday … gonna start doing more fight training, getting more aggressive quite soon.”
The hit TV series spawned a 2000 action-comedy film ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which saw Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu play the titular trio. They also returned for sequel ‘Full Throttle’ three years later.

Little Mix announce Nicki Minaj collaboration

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix and Nicki Minaj will reveal their new collaboration ‘Woman Like Me’ later this month.
The ‘Black Magic’ hitmakers confirmed the news over the weekend as they announced the release date for the highly anticipated single – taken from their upcoming fifth studio album – as well as sharing a teaser of what to expect.
In a tweet signed off “the girls”, they revealed the track will be released on October 12, and it’s clear Nicki is excited for the song to hit the airwaves.
Alongside four heart emojis, she wrote: “Thank you for having me, girls. Love this song!!! #WomanLikeMe”
The group – made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – were quick to show that the feeling’s mutual with a gushing response on social media.
They replied: “QUEEN… Can’t wait for people to hear this! #WomanLikeMe Love you x”
Meanwhile, Jade recently opened up on the band’s next record – the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Glory Days’ – ahead of its release in November.
She revealed the LP will feature “a lot of female empowerment”, and admitted the band are desperate to give the fans some new music.
She previously said: “This is definitely my favorite album. You can tell it’s come from us.
“There’s a lot of female empowerment, lots of songs give a nod to being yourself… I’m really excited for this album. We’re definitely ready to release something. We’re missing having our music out there.”
Jesy added that the girls feel the need to release new music regularly in order to maintain their position within the industry.
She explained: “In the pop industry, it’s hard to pause. With pop music if you go missing for more than a year, they’ve forgotten about you.”

Ian Brown working on first solo album in 9 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian Brown is reportedly working on his first solo album in almost a decade.
The Stone Roses frontman’s most recent record was 2009’s ‘My Way’, and it’s said he wants to release the collection before the end of the year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s been nine years since Ian dropped his last solo album so he finally decided it was time to start working on a new one.
“He wanted to recreate the lo-fi vibe of his first album ‘Unfinished Monkey Business’ so has recorded the whole album in analogue. Ian put it together with some close friends in Manchester and a team at Fiction Records is the driving force behind it.”
The report adds that Ian – who has released six solo records to date – wants to emulate the success of former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher, whose first album ‘As You Were’ stormed the UK charts earlier this year.
The insider said: “He’s hoping to drop some of the tracks in November and filmed the music video for one of the songs last week on a bridge overlooking the Bridgewater canal in Agden.
“Ian’s really hoping it’s going to take off and has been inspired by Liam Gallagher’s solo successes recently too.”
The latest development will continue to fuel speculation Stone Roses have gone their separate ways following a run of UK tour dates last year.
At the end of their show at Glasgow’s Hampden Park in June 2017, the singer told the crowd: “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened.”

‘Loose Women’ panel hit back at Gemma Collins

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Loose Women’ panel have hit back at Gemma Collins after she branded their show “bland and boring”.
Jane Moore, 56, can’t understand why the ‘Only Way is Essex’ star has accused the presenters of being “rude” to her when she appeared on the show in June because she insisted she and her fellow panellists have always been “lovely” to the 37-year-old blonde.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, Jane said: “I’ve done ‘Loose Women’ two or three times with Gemma Collins. She was good as gold. We’ve had a lovely time.
“So when I read what she’d said I had no idea what she was talking about. Because one time she came she brought her mum.
“We did a thing about her mum not being very well we’ve always been lovely to her.”
On her last appearance, Gemma was quizzed over a controversial magazine interview where she refused to answer questions because the journalist hadn’t read her new book, but Nadia Sawalha, 53, insists all guests are briefed on potential topics of discussion before they go on air.
She said: “The one thing I know is that we are always lovely with guests. We’re always really mindful of things.
“Everything is checked and double checked that they’re happy to talk about it. So we feel pretty confident on that.”
Gemma previously called for the programme to be given a “shake up” after she was “annihilated” as a guest.
When asked if she could ever see herself as a ‘Loose Women’ panellist, she said: “Never. Never ever. Never ever in a million years.
“I am the GC, I find the show needs shaking up. The last time I was on the show, I was invited on and the women were quite rude to me. I was going through quite a difficult time. They invited me on the show and basically annihilated me. Not for me. I will never go on ‘Loose Women’ ever again.
“I think it’s bland, it’s boring, it needs shaking up. I wouldn’t give them the pleasure of having me now – never again. If I was hosting a show, I think there is a way of asking questions.”

David Witts open to EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — David Witts would like to go back to ‘EastEnders’.
The 27-year-old actor admitted it would be “hard” to turn down the chance of rejoining the soap as Joey Branning, almost five years after his departure, though he’d have to pile on the pounds to take on the role again.
Asked if he’d go back to ‘EastEnders’, he said: “Yeah, of course. The interesting thing about EastEnders is, I would need to gain about 10lbs in weight just to do that role again, because I was so much heavier back then.
“Like I said before, I don’t really have fixed plans now going forward. So if at one point there is an opportunity to go back and it works out, then they’re very hard gigs to turn down.
“‘EastEnders’ is an iconic show and it’s hugely successful. You absolutely can never kind of pooh-pooh that idea of going back to something so successful.”
However, David admitted it is unlikely he would be asked back because his character no longer has any ties to Albert Square.
He told DigitalSpy: “That being said, I can’t imagine they’ll ask, though. I think everyone’s dead in my family, aren’t they?
“So if ‘EastEnders’ ever wanted me to pop back for a bit, then I’d absolutely think about that. But I just can’t imagine they will, because I don’t think there’s anyone there in terms of a story that would bring Joey back.
“Or maybe that’s it – he just pops back for one episode, and realises no-one’s there, and then leaves: ‘Ah, OK, everyone’s dead. OK, I’ll go then!'”
The actor isn’t looking for a job on another soap because he thinks it would be hard for viewers to buy into seeing him as a long-term face on another show.
He said: “I’m not sure I’d do another soap, just because I think sometimes that’s a bit odd, isn’t it, for a viewer to see somebody pop up in something else? But you can never say never with these things. Every job that I’m able to do within this industry is a massive gift.”

Sally Dexter wants to be more like Faith

OHMYGOSSIP — Sally Dexter wants to be “more like” her ‘Emmerdale’ alter ego Faith Dingle.
The 58-year-old actress has admitted she’s trying “desperately” to learn from her “straight talking” character as she has a more forthright and opinionated nature than herself.
In an interview with the Metro, she said: “She’s very straight talking and I adore that. It’s my aim to become slightly more like her.
“She’s a woman who is not backward at coming forward and I can be. I’m trying desperately to learn from her.”
But despite their differences, the actress finds it easy to channel her alter ego, and she can’t wait to portray the character in more outrageous scenes.
She said: “In a way I don’t feel like I have to do anything – by the time the clothes are on and the hair and make-up are done, I kind of provide a pulse and that’s it.
“The writing is brilliant for her, they have got it so spot on as she just seems so real to me. With both drama and comedy, the satisfying thing is the truth of it.
“The funniest things in life is what happens genuinely. She’s not a stand up comedienne, she just has extremely pithy, honest things to say and they just happen to be funny.”
Despite embracing her character’s lighter side, Sally is also looking forward to showing Faith as a tower of strength in supporting Chas (Lucy Pargeter) through the loss of her baby Grace.
She said: “She puts her heart and soul into being there for them – sometimes it’s to good effect and sometimes they kind of wish she’d just go away. But she’s not going to do that!”

Millie Mackintosh suffers with adult acne

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh is battling adult acne.
The 29-year-old former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star thought she had “left it behind in my twenties” but as she approaches her 30th birthday she is still battling with skin problems but rather than shy away from her zit issues she has chosen to use her Instagram account to share her struggles.
In an interview with Glamour, she said: “We need to share things on social media that aren’t perfect because we all have imperfections and sharing them makes you feel stronger.
“I had acne as a teenager and then you get into your twenties, you think you’ve left it behind and then it decided to make a comeback in your twenties.
“I am nearly thirty, already having to deal with adult sh*t and now your skin throws acne in the mix and it’s really annoying. Adult acne affects so many people and it’s not that talked about, so I decided to share my journey with it through my Instagram. I feel better about it even just from sharing it.”
To try and get her acne under control Millie avoids high sugar foods, alcohol and dairy as they all aggravate her skin, and she also uses face masks and laser treatments to keep her spots under control.
Millie – who is married to Hugo Taylor – said: “I’m trying to deal with it from a few different angles so I’m not really eating sugar; I’ve cut back on dairy. These are things that are proven to aggravate your skin and cause acne – not for everyone – but if you’re prone to it, they are good things to cut out.
“I’ve cut back on cheese, booze and cake but my skin is getting better. I’ve started seeing Dr. Nick Lowe because people told me he was the best and I’ve started using some of his acne skincare, which is really good – he has got a great mask. I’ve been going in to do some laser treatments, too, which have been helping with it.”

Elizabeth Hurley loves her son’s clothes

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley wears her son’s clothes.
The 53-year-old model-and-actress likes lots of the garments worn by 16-year-old Damian and so recycles them for herself once he grows out of them.
In an interview with You Magazine, she said: “I tend to wear Damian’s cast-offs. His 14-15-year-old trackie bottoms fit me perfectly.”
Elizabeth and Damian – whose father is American businessman Steve Bing – share a very close bond as she has raised him for many years as a single parent but she insists she is just lucky to have a child whose personality is similar to her own.
She said: “I rather think I’ve simply been blessed with a child whose personality gels with mine. Friends who have several children always admit, although they love them all equally, inevitably there’s one whose personality mirrors their own and they ‘get’ each other better. It’s definitely nature not nurture.”
However, ‘The Royals’ star does admit she does worry about being overbearing, and accepts it’s important to change how you treat your child as they get older.
She said: “I do worry sometimes that I’m overbearing. The one thing I didn’t realise about being a parent is how you have to adapt your behaviour as they grow. You might treat your son one way for 13 years then, almost overnight, it sounds patronising and bossy.”
But Elizabeth does love the idea of her family remaining close to her, and is delighted that her mother, Angela, has moved in with herself and Damian.
She said: “I love the idea of generations living together; I’d be thrilled if Damian were to keep a room here after he leaves home.”

Michelle Keegan goes to the gym to ‘de-stress’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan says going to the gym is a “great way to de-stress”.
The 31-year-old actress – who is married to TV star Mark Wright – has revealed that although she struggles to find the time to exercise, she believes going to the gym is a great way to escape her worries for a few hours.
She shared: “I am not someone who absolutely loves going to the gym, but it is a great way to de-stress and find time for yourself.
“I am not a slave to a gym schedule, and when I am filming it can be difficult to make time to exercise. When I do have time off and at weekends I do a mix of weights, strength training, classes and cardio.
“I have also started doing yoga this year, which I really enjoy and would like to make more time for.”
Michelle – who married Mark in 2015 – has recently returned to her roots in North-West England to film hew new TV show ‘Brassic’.
The brunette beauty is relishing the experience of being back home, having spent so much of her time abroad over recent years shooting the BBC TV series ‘Our Girl’.
Michelle – who is now working close to where most of her friends and family live – told the Daily Star newspaper: “I am really enjoying the role and getting into the character.
“I loved playing Georgie and wearing army fatigues, fully immersing myself in such an active role, where I had the chance to learn so much, but it is great to have variety and play someone new with a really different style and wardrobe.
“And I love filming in Manchester – it’s great to be close to friends and family.”

Michael Jackson wanted to play James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Jackson pleaded with Hollywood bosses to let him play James Bond.
The iconic pop star – who died in June 2009, aged 50 – tried to convince movie bosses that he was the perfect candidate to play 007 at the peak of his fame in the 1980s, according to super-agent Michael Ovitz.
In his tell-all memoir, Ovitz explains: “We took a meeting at Michael’s house. He told us he wanted to be the star of an action movie.”
Ovitz’s business partner Ron Meyer struggled to keep a straight face upon hearing the singer’s suggestion.
And the situation became even more surreal when Michael’s hat fell in a dish of guacamole.
Ovitz recalled: “He picked it out and put it back on – with a blob of guacamole attached, which began to slide down the brim.
“We all watched as it slid lower and lower while Michael was pitching us hard on how he was America’s next action hero.
“Then the blob fell off, and Ron totally lost it. I cracked up, too, and Michael stalked out. I found him and explained for 15 minutes that we hadn’t been laughing at him.
“Finally, Michael’s face cleared. ‘OK, Ovitz. OK,’ he said. ‘But I want to play James Bond.’ I am proud to report I didn’t laugh, this time.”
Ultimately, Ovitz had to tell the chart-topping pop star that he wasn’t suited to the role, which is one of the most coveted in the movie business.
He explained to Michael that he wasn’t the right build for the character and that he was also “too sensitive” for the part of Bond.
Ovitz told him: “You’re thinly built, you’re too sensitive, you won’t be credible as a brutal block of stone.”

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick want to work as a ‘family unit’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick want to do things as a “family unit” for the sake of their children.
The 39-year-old reality star and Scott, 35 – who have kids Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three, together – recently went to New York on a mini family vacation, and even though they’re not a couple, they’re keen to do things as a family for the benefit of their children.
A source told E! News: “When things are going well between Scott and Kourtney, the like to do things together as a family unit for the sake of the kids.
“The kids love when they all get to be together and Kourtney and Scott have been great at co-parenting lately. Everyone is really happy.”
Despite their split in 2015, Kim Kardashian West – Kourtney’s sister – has claimed Scott wants to have one more tot with his former flame.
Kim told family friend Larsa Pippen: “So Scott just texts me that he wants to have another baby with Kourtney. I think he just wants one more, and she wants one more.”
Larsa agreed, adding: “She definitely wants more kids. If they both want to have more kids, why not have them together? Their kids are gorgeous.”
At the time, Kourtney was in a relationship with Younes Bendjima – whom she split from over the summer – and although both parties were spoken for, Kim was convinced a fourth child could still be a possibility for the former couple.
She said: “I mean, it’s like, Scott has a girlfriend, Kourtney has a boyfriend – we get it. They don’t even have to have sex. It could be IVF.
“I have to tell the rest of the family to be like, ‘Guys, should we encourage this?’ How cute will that be? They have to have another baby!”

Ashlee Simpson craves more family time

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee Simpson wishes she could spend more quality time with her family.
The 33-year-old singer – who has a three-year-old daughter called Jagger with her husband Evan Ross – find it hard to strike a balance between their working lives and creating time for friends and family.
In a clip from their reality show ‘ASHLEE+EVAN’, the pop star – who also has a nine-year-old son called Bronx from her marriage to Pete Wentz – says to Evan: “There’s always people over. It’s like so loud last night. I couldn’t sleep.
“You know what’s important to me. You know getting into this and working again, it’s important to me that we’re with our kids, that we get the rest that we need. For me feeling like we have a balance is super important.
“And right now, I feel a little off balance. I feel like we can just be family and not have so many people around us.”
But Evan disagreed with his wife’s assessment of the situation, and said they should instead be focused on their music careers.
He explained: “I don’t think we don’t have those. So we have a really important day right now and I feel like we need to change the energy to focusing on how important this situation is and that we’re getting a vocal from Virdine White and all this kind of stuff.”
In the end, Ashlee accepted that she and her husband will never agree on the issue.
She said: “We’re just not on the same page about that. It is what it is.”
Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee’s older sister, recently announced she is expecting her third child.
The American star – who has daughter Maxwell, six, and son Ace, five, with her husband Eric Johnson – wrote on Instagram: “This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

Katie McGlynn on Sinead Tinker’s cancer fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Sinead Tinker’s “world turns upside down” when she’s told she may have cancer.
The mum-to-be – who is played by Katie McGlynn – initially fears she’s having a miscarriage because she’s bleeding, but is shocked when an obstetrician discovers a potentially-cancerous lump on her cervix.
Katie said: “She thinks she’s having a miscarriage…
“[When she finds the lump] Sinead’s whole world turns upside down.”
But Sinead doesn’t even confide in her fiance Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) about her medical woes, and tells her aunt Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) everything is fine, even though she confided in her about the bleeding.
Katie explained to What’s On TV: “She thinks if she keeps burying it and doesn’t tell anyone it might not be real.”
And the machinist blames herself for her potential diagnosis.
Katie told Entertainment Daily: “Heartbreak over blaming herself for the cancer because she had a termination – definitely.
“She says to the doctor when she finds out that it might be cancer, ‘I’ve had an abortion is that why?’.
“They assure her that it’s not but she still secretly blames herself because she thinks it is.”
Despite the risks to her own health, Sinead wants to do whatever it takes to protect her baby.
Katie said: “All the way through it she’s constantly thinking about the baby, even though she’s only around three months pregnant when she finds out that she might have cancer she’s still thinking about the baby.
“When they say to her you’ve got a lump, she says ‘is the baby OK?’. She’s got a maternal instinct straight away, she’s not thinking about herself.”
