Katie Piper ‘overwhelmed’ by Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Piper is feeling “psychologically overwhelmed” by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because her acid attacker is due for release from prison.
The mother-of-two had hoped the show – on which she is partnered by Gorka Marquez – would provide her with a “welcome distraction” at a difficult time in her personal life but she’s finding it tougher than she expected.
She said: “I have been having lots of things going on in my personal life, legal things, and I think it became psychologically overwhelming for me…
“I get really emotional on Mondays and Tuesdays, it’s always then I want to storm off in a tantrum and cry because it’s a new routine and song, it’s so overwhelming.”
And the 34-year-old campaigner has requested more upbeat tracks for her routines as she find sad songs make her feel worse.
She admitted to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “When the lyrics are emotional, that’s tough…
“My hope this week is that we have a much more upbeat song.”
In August, Katie said she hoped ‘Strictly’ would take her mind off the news Stefan Sylvestre had been granted parole after just nine years of the life sentence he was given for the attack on her.
She said: “This is a really difficult time for me. I am trying to come to terms with the decision and this is something I need to deal with.
“Over the past two weeks ‘Strictly’ has already given me such a welcome and positive distraction from my past.
“Whilst there is never a good time to hear this news, I am glad I have this new journey to concentrate on.”
The former model previously admitted the injuries she sustained in the attack could make ‘Strictly’ “a little more difficult” for her.
She said: “I’ve got some injuries that might make it a little more difficult. But I don’t think it’d hold me back. I’ve lived with extensive injuries for 10 years.
“I can’t see anything on [my left] side at all, but I’ve been like that for 10 years, so I’ve actually forgotten what it’s like to see from all sides.”

James Jordan and Brian McFadden confirmed for Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — James Jordan and Brian McFadden have been confirmed for ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional and the ex-Westlife star are the third and fourth celebrities to join the forthcoming series, after Gemma Collins and Richard Blackwood signed up to get their skates on.
James said: “I’m so excited that I’m going to be on ‘Dancing on Ice’ this year. Yes, I can dance, but can I ice skate? No. This is going to be a little bit of a problem I think.”
Brian is also “excited” about stepping foot on the ice, and has been putting in plenty of practice with his roller blades.
Confirming the news on ‘Lorraine’, he said: “Hi Lorraine, yes the news is true. I am going to be doing ‘Dancing on Ice’ 2019. I’m very excited.
“I’ve already been practicing out the back garden on my roller blades, and my mammie says I’m a one man Torvill and Dean. Watch this space.”
Lorraine Kelly then said: “He’ll be good. He’ll give it 100 per cent, he’ll go for it.”
However, the TV presenter is not so confident about Gemma’s ice ability, predicting ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star will “walk out on episode one”.
She said: “She won’t do it. You know she’s going to walk out on episode one … or even before that.”
Gemma admitted this week she is feeling “scared and nervous” about taking part.
She said: “As a young girl my brother used to play ice hockey so I was at the rink a lot and I remember seeing some white boots in the shop and asking my mum to be a skater but she said ‘No, you’re doing dance and drama and singing, you’re not doing any more, we can’t afford it.’ So I never got those white boots.
“I know how hard it is, I’ve done my research. I am scared and nervous, I don’t know how they’re gonna lift me up and how fast I can get around the ice … I really want to give this a go.”

Winston Duke joins thriller Heronie

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Panther’ star Winston Duke has joined the cast of new action thriller ‘Heroine’.
The 31-year-old actor has been signed by Paramount Players to star in its new exhilarating drama, which is being directed by Dan Casey from his own script and produced by Matt Kaplan through his Ace Entertainment production company.
The film will follow a young single mother on the run for an unknown reason – she elopes to a new city only to discover her new friendly neighbour, played by Winston, is actually a dangerous criminal.
The star rose to fame after he landed the role of the villainous M’Baku in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
The actor has been linked to Jordan Peele’s new project ‘Us’, a follow up to the Oscar-winning mystery thriller ‘Get Out’ – in which Allison Williams and Daniel Kaluuya play an interracial couple who meet her parents for the first time – only for Daniel’s character to make some disturbing discoveries about his girlfriend’s family.
The 39-year-old comedian has now announced the follow up, due for release in March 2019 and set to star Winston along with Lupita Nyong’o – who also starred in ‘Black Panther’ – and Elisabeth Moss of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.
Elisabeth previously said of the film: “All I can kind of say is, I’m obviously a huge fan of ‘Get Out,’ as is the rest of the world, and I think this movie’s gonna be really good, I just think it’s gonna be good. It’s just gonna be really good, and that’s it.”
The ‘Big Mouth’ star announced the new film by simply tweeting a poster with the title ‘Us’, which read: “a new nightmare from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele” and “In theaters March 2019. (sic)”
Details of the new film are under wraps but the story will reportedly follow two couples, one white and one black.

Bad Boys For Life close to being green-lighted by Sony

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bad Boys For Life’ is reportedly on the cusp of being given the green light by Sony Pictures.
The long-awaited third instalment of the money-spinning film franchise – which stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as detectives – has been talked about for years and have already seen several false dawns.
But according to Variety, production on the sequel could begin in early 2019, with the film having been handed a tentative release date of January 2020.
Will, 50, is set to reprise his role as Detective Mike Lowrey in the upcoming movie, and while Martin has yet to agree terms on the project, he is said to be circling the movie.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah – who previously worked on the FX series ‘Snowfall’ – are set to direct ‘Bad Boys For Life’, with the two earlier films having been helmed by Michael Bay.
Meanwhile, Will previously revealed he was certain that he and Martin would be reuniting for the third ‘Bad Boys’s movie.
Speaking in 2016, the Hollywood star shared: “I saw Martin a few weeks ago.
“I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another ‘Bad Boys.’ We’re definitely doing another one.”
The two previous ‘Bad Boys’ movies grossed more than $400 million worldwide, but plans to create a third film in the franchise have faced numerous setbacks and delays.

Joe Budden slams Eminem for diss

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Budden says Eminem isn’t worth coming out of retirement for despite his diss track.
The hip hop veteran came under fire on Slim Shady’s latest record ‘Kamikaze’ and now he’s insisted he won’t be heading back into the studio to have his say.
Speaking to Hip-Hop-DX, he said: “Yeah, no. I don’t think it contradicts my retirement. I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t do it.
“I wouldn’t want to dust off the microphone and get in the studio strictly to respond to two bars. I think that would contradict my retirement and all the work that I’ve done up to this point.”
Eminem, 45, raps on ‘Fall’: “Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it or have his body baggage zipped. The closest thing he’s had to hits is smackin’ b****es.”
The 38-year-old star announced his retirement as a solo artist in 2017 but still remained a member of Slaughterhouse – who are signed to Eminem’s Shady Records – until earlier this year when he confirmed he was taking a step back from his career as a rapper.
The ‘Pump It Up’ hitmaker added: “I don’t feel like anybody really deserves that. When Joe Budden was ‘relevant’ he just had that passion. Nobody said anything to Joe Budden.
“So today, those same rules apply. When I am under attack now because we are not so irrelevant. I have to seek what the motives are to do that.
“I’m not just going to the studio to give somebody else the benefit of saying ‘Yeah, Joe responded’. I’m retired, I mean it.”
While Remy Ma and 50 Cent have both hit out at Budden for his lack of response to Eminem’s digs, the star insisted his “focus is elsewhere” at the moment.
He explained: “And not for two bars is what I’m saying. I’m an MC at heart still. If somebody decides to, they really want to get out in the street, I’ll meet them in the street.
“Would have to inspire me to, it would have to think that in retirement somebody with a passion to actually record music has dwindled. My focus is elsewhere. But if I hear something that gets me out of the bed, inspires me to you know, push the pen harder than I have than I’m all for that. I’m down to be inspired!”

Paul McCartney forgets lyrics to biggest hits

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney admitted he sometimes forgets the lyrics to his biggest hits.
The 76-year-old musician – who has released 18 solo albums, seven with Wings and 12 studio records with The Beatles – has penned countless timeless hits over the years, and he revealed it can be tough remember all the words when he’s playing live.
Speaking to ’60 Minutes’ on CBS about preparation for his upcoming ‘Freshen Up’ tour, he said: “When I’m doing shows I listen to a lotta music, Beatles music, Wings music, to see what ones we’re gonna do.
“And to learn them… There’s too many. Too many words. Too many notes. They’re very hard. I mean, you know, it’s not like they’re all three chords.”
The legendary musician – who released ‘Egypt Station’ last month – also revealed how competition drove his and John Lennon’s songwriting as they made sure to keep up with each other.
He added: “Not openly, but we – we later admitted, ‘Yeah, you know, so Paul’s written a good one there, I better get going.’ And I would similarly, ‘Hmm, that’s a bit good, right, here we go, come on.’
“If he’d have written [‘Strawberry Fields Forever’], I would write ‘Penny Lane’, you know, and it’s – he’s remembering his old area in Liverpool, so I’ll remember mine.”
Meanwhile, Paul recently admitted he was “put off” performing The Beatles hit ‘Helter Skelter’ because of the song’s association with the late cult leader Charles Manson, who named his prophecy of a race war between Caucasians and African-Americans after the track.
After listening to the LP repeatedly, Manson believed that the band had tapped into his spirit and had foreseen the same oncoming racial violence that he had and that he intended to spark with the actions of the Manson Family and their own music album.
In August 1969, the cult were responsible for the murder of Sharon Tate and four others at the Los Angeles home she shared with Roman Polanski in August 1969.
One of the killers wrote “Healter (sic) Skelter” in blood on the refrigerator of the house in which the murders took place and numerous references to other Beatles songs, in particular ‘Piggies’ from the ‘White Album’, were also scrawled in blood at the scene.
The singer previously said: “I thought, I’m not doing [‘Helter Skelter’], you know, because it was too close to that event, and immediately it would have seemed like I was, either I didn’t care about all the carnage that had gone on or whatever, so I kept away from it for a long time.”

Jessica Chastain switches up fragrance routine for characters

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Chastain chooses a “different” fragrance for each “part she plays”.
The Oscar-nominated actress – who currently fronts the campaign for Ralph Lauren’s fragrance ‘Woman’ – often switches up her perfume to suit a specific role because fragrance is a personal choice and it helps her get into character.
Speaking to Vogue UK, Jessica said: “When I’m playing parts I choose a different scent for each part I play. So when I’m reading about something or studying a role I figure out, what would this person smell like? Because I find that fragrance is such a personal choice. It’s how you’re presenting yourself in the world.
“Day to day I’ll take Woman and spray it on a cotton ball in the morning and then put that in my bra. Throughout the day your body heat warms the oils in the scent, so it’s not overpowering and stays with you all day.”
The 41-year-old actress is a big fan of a “YSL red lip” and is her go-to look because it always makes her feel “glamorous”, even if she’s not wearing any more make-up.
She explained: “I’ve always talked about the YSL red – I’ve loved that red lip forever. I love a look that’s really bare-faced with a red lip, it’s so French and so cool. Barely any eye make-up and messy hair and you’re good to go. It feels so easy but it’s also so glamorous.”
When it comes to her hair, the ‘Dark Phoenix’ actress does her best to keep her locks in great condition.
She said: “I don’t over shampoo it. I don’t like to strip the oils out of my hair. And maybe because I like to stay out of the sun I wear a hat a lot which probably protects it. Sometimes I go to sleep with a hair mask on, or coconut oil. I love coconut oil. I leave it on to really sink in.”

Adriana Lima needs exercise to ‘function’

OHMYGOSSIP — Adriana Lima “can’t function” if she doesn’t exercise or meditate.
The 37-year-old supermodel – who has daughters Valentina, eight, and Sienna, five, with ex-husband Marko Jarić – admitted her kids are used to always seeing her in sportswear because working out is an essential part of her life.
She told America’s Glamour magazine: “During my everyday life I am in sports clothes – my children know that! I drive the kids to school and after that I go to the gym, if there is a day I don’t do that, my kids ask, ‘where are you going?’
“That is my everyday life, I can’t function if I don’t have my exercise or I don’t meditate. That’s how I have to start my day to wake me up.”
The Brazilian beauty admitted she has an incredibly “athletic mindset” and is proud of her new role as Puma’s women’s training ambassador.
She said: “I am very athletic, I have an athletic mindset so I am passionate about working out and fitness. I have been a fan of Puma for many years because of how they represent women, what they stand for and how they inspire women by providing apparel and shoes so they can reach their own goals in a fashion forward way.”
When it comes to working out, Adriana believes people need to find their own goals and motivation, with music helping her to stick to her routines.
She said: “Everyone has their own story and the first thing they have to do is to what to change their life – that is the most important thing of all. From there, look at what your goals are, who do you want to be, where do you see yourself and from there you go to working out, nutrition, choosing the right workout gear – that will affect your consciousness.
“The key thing is to find a work out you like and stick to it; you need to keep moving. I usually listen to music, it wakes me up and motivates me, it gets me in the zone.”

She said: “I was 14 when I did the first movie, now I’m 20.”
Elle explained how their relationship has evolved since they first worked together.
She told People: “I wasn’t as young now so Angelina and I got to relate on a different level now that I’m older.”
Elle relished the experience of reuniting with the Oscar-winning star, and admitted to being inspired by her work ethic.
She confessed: “We actually got very close on the second one. Very close. She’s amazing!
“She does a lot and is very inspiring to work with. To see how she handles the business and also she’s the producer so to see that side of things, to see her with her producer hat on, I learned a lot.”
Elle also confessed she enjoyed the experience of reprising a character for the first time in her film career.
The American star explained: “I’ve never done a sequel to a film before so I’ve never gotten to have a recurring character. Never had the opportunity to come back to a character before.”
Last month, Peter Dinklage admitted that working with Elle is “heaven”.
The duo both star in the indie drama ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’, and Peter loved working with the young actress.
He said: “Working with just one other actor quite possibly could have been hell. But it wasn’t hell, it was Elle. Elle is heaven.”

Kay Lavelle leaves Big Brother house

OHMYGOSSIP — Kay Lavelle has left the ‘Big Brother’ house.
The 32-year-old artist departed the Channel 5 show in the early hours of this morning (02.10.18), and housemates have been told about her exit.
A ‘Big Brother’ spokesperson said: “Kay decided to leave the ‘Big Brother’ house in the early hours of this morning. The other housemates are aware.”
Further details are yet to have been revealed about Kay’s exit, but it will be shown on tonight’s episode.
Kay – who was up for eviction this week – recently expressed concerns about being “misunderstood by the public”, and admitted she felt “trapped”.
Speaking in the Diary Room at the weekend, she said: “I’m struggling again. I just think sometimes I’m in the wrong place and I don’t want to be misunderstood by the public.
“I just really feel that I’m going to be eaten alive. I don’t want to put myself through that because I will just be running for the fire exits.
“I just feel so trapped. It’s like, what’s that saying? You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.”
Last month, Kay admitted she was “struggling” with ‘Big Brother’ after defending outspoken Lewis G.
She said: “I’m struggling with the whole experience, to be honest. F**k it, Big Brother.
“I don’t want to be in an environment that begins to be toxic and people are talking about people.
“I can’t go face the people. I can’t go face Cameron, he’s just a very young boy that says flippant things.”
Kay’s ‘Big Brother’ exit will air on tonight’s episode at 10.15pm on Channel 5.

Paul Dano ‘lucked out’ with Carey Mulligan

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Dano “lucked out” when he cast Carey Mulligan in ‘Wildlife’.
The ‘Swiss Army Man’ actor has made his directorial debut with the drama and was impressed with how the 33-year-old actress tackled the role of troubled housewife Jeanette as anyone else could have caused the film to “fall apart”.
He said: “I remember saying to myself, Gosh!.
“Carey’s just so sharp, her intent is so clear even though the character is so complicated. With a mushy actor, that would have fallen apart. I lucked out.”
When it comes to her own career, the ‘Great Gatsby’ actress – who has two children with husband Marcus Mumford – just wants to challenge herself with a varied body of work.
She told W magazine: “You do something well and people want you to just repeat that thing over and over.
“After ‘An Education’, I got a lot of offers to play quirky girls going through big life changes, and I didn’t want to do that.
“‘Suffragette’ was quite message-y, and I don’t really want to be in message movies anymore. It’s really just not wanting to take on things I could competently do without much work. It doesn’t seem worth it.”
Carey credits her ‘Pride and Prejudice’ co-star Keira Knightley with teaching her a lot about how to behave on set because despite her fame, the 33-year-old star was always “lovely”.
She said: “Keira had been in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, and she was unbelievably famous. I didn’t need to put this into practice until years later, but she was the model of how to be a leading actress on set.
“She was brilliant, but she was also so kind and so sweet, and it sort of removed the possibility in the future of there being any excuse for being anything but lovely.
“I was watching people not only to learn how to act, but also to learn how to be. I did that for years.”

Iggy Azalea’s search for a glam team is making her anxious

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea says her search for a new “glam team” is giving her anxiety.
The 28-year-old rap star – who was born in Sydney, Australia – has recently made the switch from Los Angeles to Atlanta, and the move has meant she now needs to find herself a new hair and make-up team.
Iggy wrote on Twitter: “Having to find a new glam team now that I live in Atlanta is giving me anxiety.
Iam such a creature of habit… [crying emoji] (sic)”
The rap star – who has more than seven million followers on the micro-blogging platform – also recently took to Twitter to discuss one of her past relationships.
Iggy revealed she’d “finally” moved on from one of her ex-boyfriends, although she refused to name the person.
The ‘Fancy’ hitmaker – who has dated the likes of A$AP Rocky, basketball player Nick Young, and NFL star DeAndre Hopkins – wrote: “Isnt the day you think about someone again and finally dont miss them anymore or give a single f**k about them (but in the kindest way possible) just the best feeling ever. Its really is. wow.
“Its honestly such a nice feeling. (sic)”
Prior to that, Iggy admitted to experiencing “crazy anxiety” when people started speculating she was dating Jimmy Butler.
The rapper set tongues wagging when she was spotted looking cosy with the basketball player, but she subsequently rubbished the suggestion and revealed she feels an overwhelming sense of paranoia when her fans start commenting on her love life.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Australian star fumed: “Can we please stop saying every man who is single you see me standing next to is someone I’m on a date with? S**t is corny and super annoying! The whole thing gives me crazy anxiety & makes me feel like I can’t have normal in passing conversations with people because everything ends up being some “story” for the internet. (sic)”

Kanye West’s intern was running errands ‘every ten minutes’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West reportedly had an intern run errands for him “every ten minutes” during a recording session over the weekend.
The controversial rap star was working at the iconic Electric Lady Studios prior to filming ‘Saturday Night Live’, but Kanye – who was joined by his wife Kim Kardashian West – had his intern collect various deliveries from the likes of Luke’s Lobster, Jimmy John’s and Liquiteria during the session.
An eyewitness told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “Every 10 minutes, a young man who seemed to be an intern would come out [of the studio] with a sticky note and a credit card to run an errand.”
The intern was also responsible for getting bagels, protein bars, beer, Starbucks coffee, yellowtail sashimi and white tape for Kanye, his wife and other people at the session.
Kanye had originally pledged to release his eagerly awaited new album, ‘Yandhi’, over the weekend – but he is instead now planning to release it on November 23.
The rapper – who has kids North, five, Saint, two, and eight-month-old Chicago with Kim – also revealed he’s planing to head to Africa in a couple of weeks to finish the rest of the new album.
Kanye explained: “We have to go to what is known as Africa.
“I just need to go and find out what it’s really called and grab the soil and cook five meals a day so the metabolism stays up and have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we’re recording.
“We’re going to bring out the album on what is known as Black Friday on November 23, and I’m just so happy about what is happening.”

Duchess of Sussex invited to join the Women’s Institute

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is to be invited to join the Women’s Institute.
The 37-year-old royal – who married Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May – is to be given the chance to join the organisation in the UK and thereby follow in the footsteps of other members of her family, including the Queen.
Vicky Booth – the secretary of East Sussex Women’s Institute – told The Sun newspaper: “It’d be lovely if she followed the example of other royals.
“An invitation might well happen. It wouldn’t matter if it was East or West Sussex. It would help raise the WI’s profile.”
The Queen and the Queen Mother have both served as the President of the Sandringham branch of the Women’s Institute, while Camilla is a member in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
The organisation campaigns on behalf of women and seeks to provide them with educational opportunities.
Meanwhile, Nick Kent – the executive producer of the behind-the-scenes documentary ‘Queen of the World’ – recently hailed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a “dream team”.
He shared: “She’s a professional in front of the camera. He and Meghan are a dream team.”
Nick also claimed that the former ‘Suits’ actress is already making a mark on the British royals.
The producer pointed to the Duchess’ wedding dress featuring a piece of the dress she wore on her first date with the Duke to prove his point.
He explained: “A powerful example of that is the piece of blue fabric in the [wedding] dress. That was a very private gesture that she made, to have that piece of fabric sewn in, nobody knew about that. The fact that she was happy to share that, you know, it’s quite an intimate insight.
“The other thing, is that it’s a mistake to think that the monarchy stays the same. In a sense, reinventing how you fulfil your duties as a member of the royal family is something that’s not a new thing. So in a funny way, she’s kind of following in the tradition of Queen herself and Princess Diana.”

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne stronger than ever

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa claims her relationship with Dan Osborne is “stronger than ever”.
The couple – who have Ella, three, and three-month-old Mia together – split in May after just 11 months of marriage but following the 27-year-old star’s recent stint on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, the pair have put their “bad patch” behind them and are now back together.
Dan said: “It’s no secret that we went through a bad patch, but we’re back together and things are really good.
“We split up earlier this year but started to get back on track when Mia was born in June and it’s better than ever between us now.”
Jacqueline added in a joint interview with the new issue of OK! magazine: “Our wedding rings are firmly back on and we’re stronger than ever.”
And Dan – who also has a four-year-old son, Teddy, from a previous relationship – admitted his stint on ‘CBB’ gave him a “new-found love and respect” for his wife.
He said: “My time in the house gave me a new-found love and respect for Jacqueline. I had a lot of time in there to re-evaluate things and work out what my priorities were.
“Having some space made me realise how much I cherish our relationship and how much I wanted to make things work.”
But the 25-year-old actress admitted she found it “hard” to be supportive of Dan while he was on the show because of his closeness to ‘Love Island’ star Gabby Allen, who he had previously denied having had a fling with.
She said: “I tried to be supportive of Daniel while he was in the house but it was hard when I saw him talking about our problems or spending time with Gabby.
“I know they’re just friends but it wasn’t nice for me to watch because I knew what everyone would be saying about their relationship.”
The former ‘Only Way is Essex’ star admitted he initially tried to “avoid” his housemate because he didn’t want to further fuel speculation about their closeness but realised it would only cause more problems.
He said: “At first I tried really hard to avoid being near her because I knew what people would say, but it’s impossible to keep that up for a whole month. We were constantly in the same room as each other – and the house isn’t as big as it looks on TV – and I soon realised I couldn’t avoid her forever.
“I went into the house to be myself and I couldn’t do that if I was going to be off with Gabby. I get on really well with her, we’re good friends, so as far as I’m concerned we had nothing to feel awkward about.”
