OHMYGOSSIP — Tyrese Gibson has become a father for a second time.
The 39-year-old singer-and-actor’s wife Samantha gave birth to their first child together, daughter Soraya, on Monday (01.10.18), and the little one weighed in at 8lbs 6oz.
He wrote on Instagram: “Father God we love you for delivering on your promise princess Soraya Lee Gibson is here…… 8 pounds 6 Oz our lives just changed forever……. #PrincessGibson #ShaylasLittleSister #SamanthaGibsonGreatestMotherOfAllTime (sic)”
Tyrese – who also has 11-year-old daughter Shayla from his previous marriage to Norma Gibson from 2007 to 2009 – revealed Samantha was in labour for 30 hours, and he praised her for being strong during the birth.
He added: “my wife is the real champion 30 hours of labor I witnessed first hand the strength of a woman….. Thank you Jesus we are so humbled by your grace and love and favor…. #Amen (sic)”
The ‘Fate of the Furious’ star shared a picture of Soraya’s footprints on Instagram, and was congratulated by fans.
Tyrese revealed in April that he and Samantha were expecting their first child together, and admitted he was “overly excited” about the news.
He said: “Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child. It’s unbelievable.
“It was me screaming and just being overly excited and just fired up about the news.”
The couple – who married last year – staged a faux movie trailer during one of Samantha’s ultrasound scans as a way of breaking the news to their families.
The ‘Baby Boy’ actor added: “There was no greater reaction than her mom’s reaction. Samantha is her only daughter, and this has been prayers for years and years, for her to get married and find the right one and start a family.”

Emma Stone ‘grateful’ she didn’t know about childhood anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone is “very grateful” she didn’t know she “had a disorder” during her childhood.
The ‘La La Land’ star began therapy after suffering her first panic attack aged seven and she was diagnosed with generalised anxiety and panic disorder, but the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ star is glad she wasn’t aware of her condition because it could have harmed her chances of breaking into acting.
She said: “I am very grateful I didn’t know that I had a disorder. I wanted to be an actor and there weren’t a lot of actors who spoke about having panic attacks.”
The 29-year-old actress went through a “really terrifying” ordeal during her childhood where she thought her friend’s house was burning down, and she later found it tough to go to her pal’s houses.
Speaking to psychiatrist Dr. Harold S. Koplewicz in a video on mental health non-profit Child Mind Institute’s YouTube page, she added: “After first grade before I went into second grade, I had my first panic attack. It was really, really terrifying and overwhelming.
“I was at a friend’s house, and all of a sudden I was convinced the house was on fire and it was burning down. I was just sitting in her bedroom and obviously the house wasn’t on fire, but there was nothing in me that didn’t think we were going to die.
“I couldn’t go to friends’ houses.”
Emma recently admitted she feels “lucky” to have anxiety, because it makes her “high-energy”.
She said: “I think your wiring is just kind of what you are. My mom always says that I was born with my nerves outside of my body. But I’m lucky for the anxiety, because it also makes me high-energy.
“I am sensitive on a level that is problematic. I mean, I’ve talked to my therapist about it before, and she’s like, Thank God you found [acting].
“I started acting in youth theatre when I was 11. But it’s weird when it becomes your job. And then there are other parts of it, like sitting here with the tape recorder in between us, that aren’t things that you think about when you’re a kid and it’s just like, ‘This is a safe, great place to feel a lot.'”

Kanye West says he’s a ‘God’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West thinks he’s “a God”.
The 41-year-old rap star has revealed he’s come off the medication he was previously using and is “fully back in mode”, adding that he’s now rediscovered the confidence to dress however he wants.
Kanye – who has kids North, five, Saint, two, and eight-month-old Chicago with Kim Kardashian West, his wife – explained: “Those five albums that I dropped earlier were like superhero rehabilitation.
“Now the alien, Ye, is fully back in mode, off of medication, working out, breathing as much fresh air as possible, thinking, doing, being himself.
“When I say I’m being myself, that doesn’t mean I’m being Donald Trump, it means I’m being me and I’m punk and I can wear whatever I want ’cause I’m a God.”
Kanye has also tried to clarify his recent tweet in which he suggested he would support abolishing the 13th Amendment, which outlawed slavery.
The outspoken rap star insisted he should have used the word “amend” rather than “abolish”.
He told TMZ: “Abolish was the wrong language. I misspoke by saying ‘abolish’. ‘Amend’ is the right language. And what’s beautiful about our Constitution is that we can amend it, right?”
Kanye made his original suggestion about the 13th Amendment after he reiterated his support for Trump by posting a photo of himself wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ cap.
He wrote: “this represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love (sic)”
But he later added: “the 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise meaning it never ended We are the solution that heals.
“not abolish but. let’s amend the 13th amendment
“We apply everyone’s opinions to our platform (sic)”

Susannah Constantine: I was worst Strictly dancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Susannah Constantine would’ve felt as though she had “cheated” if she had remained on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 56-year-old TV presenter admits she deserved to be booted off the show first this year because she was “the worst dancer”, but says she did her best to progress further in the competition with her pro partner Anton du Beke.
She said: “Obviously, I’m gutted to be out first. It’s not a nice feeling at all, but if anyone else had gone out, I’d have felt like I cheated.
“I am the worst dancer. I am the oldest female there. I have no experience, but I went out there despite all that and I tried my best. I had the king [Anton], and even he couldn’t save me! There was no hope.”
However, the former ‘What Not to Wear’ co-host isn’t sure how much more of the show she would’ve been “capable of”.
She said: “I’m not sure how much more I could have been capable of.”
Susannah and Anton’s routine was the lowest-scoring foxtrot in ‘Strictly’ history over the weekend after they amassed just 12 points, including a score of one from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
But Anton insists his partner was “coming on so marvellously” and working really hard in training.
Speaking in a joint interview on spin-off show ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’, he added: “It’s so, so difficult and I thought Susannah was doing an incredible job.
“She was coming on so marvellously. We were having such a great time, and working very, very, very hard… She was just coming along nicely, and then suddenly [it’s over].”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Claflin has signed up for the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot.
The 32-year-old actor will appear alongside his ‘Hunger Games’ co-star Elizabeth Banks in the new version of the motion picture, sources have told Variety.
Banks will direct, produce and star in the movie as Bosley – who was previously the face of the never-seen owner of detective agency Charlie Townsend – alongside Sir Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou, who will also play versions of the same character.
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska will portray the three Angels, and Jonathan Tucker and Luis Gerardo Mendez will also appear in the film.
The Sony movie – a new take on the popular 70s TV show – will tell the story of the Charlie Townsend Agency, which has now become a security and intelligence service with teams across the globe.
Banks has penned the motion picture’s script alongside Jay Basu, and she will produce with her husband Max Handelman, as well as Doug Belgrad and Elizabeth Cantillon.
Stewart has been getting into shape for her role by boxing.
She recently said: “I have been boxing a bit, which I have never done. I am so addicted to it. As soon as I have to actually start sparring though, I realise what I am doing is intended to fight people. I am like, it really is assaulting and I really hate it.
“But all I am doing lately is talking to Liz, and can’t wait to meet the other girls and I leave on Sunday … gonna start doing more fight training, getting more aggressive quite soon.”
The popular ‘Charlie’s Angels’ TV series – which initially starred Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett, and Kate Jackson – spawned a 2000 action-comedy film ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which saw Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu play the titular trio.
They also returned for sequel ‘Full Throttle’ three years later.
‘Charlie’s Angels’ is expected to be released on September 27, 2019.

Ansel Elgort cast in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story

OHMYGOSSIP — Ansel Elgort has been cast in Steven Spielberg’s remake of ‘West Side Story’.
The 24-year-old actor – who previously appeared in hits such as ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ and ‘Baby Driver’ – has landed the role of Tony Wyzek in the latest adaptation of the iconic musical.
Spielberg – who is producing the project alongside Kevin McCollum and Kristie Macosko Krieger for Fox – has spent years trying to get the movie off the ground.
The acclaimed filmmaker previously called ‘West Side Story’ “one of the greatest pieces of musical literature” with “one of the greatest scores and some of the greatest lyrics ever written for a musical”.
Thousands of actors and dancers have already been auditioned for the movie, according to Variety, which reports that filming will begin in the summer of 2019.
Meanwhile, Edgar Wright recently teased a potential ‘Baby Driver’ sequel.
The director helmed the original crime thriller in 2017 and on the one-year anniversary of the movie’s release, he hinted at a potential sequel.
Alongside an anniversary-themed poster of the movie, Edgar wrote: “‘Baby Driver’ was released one year ago today. Had a wild ride with it in the last 365 days. so I thank you for all your beautiful responses, it means everything. And who knows, maybe he could get back on the road soon… (sic)”
Lily James also previously admitted she relished the experience of working with Edgar and her co-star Ansel, who plays the getaway driver Baby.
The British actress – who stars as Debora, a young waitress and Baby’s love interest – shared: “I think it’s credit to Edgar Wright – his script is really beautifully written and constructed and he’s really clever.
“He’s such an amazing storyteller and he does it through images and shots, so he makes us care for Baby and then Debora and then puts them together.
“He’s manipulated it all, so I think our chemistry is real – not to give too much credit away, we owned it – but I do think Edgar was very clever at constructing that.”

Madonna will drop new album in 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna will release her new album next year.
The 60-year-old singer has confirmed she is still working on her 14th studio album, which will be her first new record for four years since 2015’s ‘Rebel Heart’, and doesn’t expect the record to drop until 2019.
She said: “I’m finishing my record, which I’m going to release next year.”
Madonna insists she “cannot quit” making music, despite delving further in the fashion of beauty world of late, which has seen her release new skincare lines, as well as perfumes.
She added to WWD: “Yep, in between rose mist spray and serums, I’m actually making music. Can’t quit my day job.”
Madonna’s latest claims come just a few months after revealing she would be dropping a new record by the end of 2018, and that her tunes will feature a heavy Portuguese influence after she moved to Lisbon to help son David Banda, 12, pursue his professional football career.
She said: “I’ve just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I’ve ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work.
“How could it not? I don’t see how I could have gone through that year without being informed by all this input of culture.”
The ‘Like a Prayer’ hitmaker added that her new songs “will be collected in an album that will be released by the end of the year”.
In May, lyrics and details of the Queen of Pop’s new tunes were leaked online.
She had recorded a number of tracks at the time, to accompany her first new song in three years, ‘Beautiful Game’ – produced by ‘Die Another Day’ producer Mirwais – which she performed at the Met Gala earlier that month.

Kanye West announces new album release date

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West plans to release his new album on Black Friday following a trip to Africa.
The outspoken rap star had initially planned to release his new record, ‘Yandhi’, over the weekend – but he’s admitted it’s still not finished and he’ll soon be heading to Africa in search of some last-minute inspiration.
Asked whether there’s any update on the album, Kanye explained: “I didn’t finish it.
“The album is so good I’ve started incorporating sounds that you haven’t heard before and pushing and having concepts that people don’t talk about. We have concepts talking about body shaming and women being talked down upon for how many people they slept with.”
Kanye, 41, revealed he is heading to Africa in two weeks to finish the record, and he’s hopeful of releasing it on November 23.
The ‘Famous’ hitmaker – whose last album, ‘Ye’, was released earlier this year – also revealed what he’s hoping to get from his overseas trip.
He told TMZ: “We have to go to what is known as Africa.
“I just need to go and find out what it’s really called and grab the soil and cook five meals a day so the metabolism stays up and have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we’re recording.
“We’re going to bring out the album on what is known as Black Friday on November 23, and I’m just so happy about what is happening.”

Holly Willoughby breaks down in tears as she recieves BAFTA award

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby broke down in tears as she accepted a BAFTA award on behalf of ‘This Morning’ on Monday night (01.10.18).
The popular ITV show – which is hosted by Holly and Phillip Schofield – was given the award in recognition of three decades on the air, and Holly became visibly emotional as she delivered her acceptance speech at the BAFTA building in London.
She said: “To be stood up here holding a BAFTA for a show that you’re lucky enough to even be a part of is incredible.
“‘This Morning’ has the best team and has done for 30 years. Everybody has said it’s something that has shaped their career and is something that stays with you.
“This show gives you something that no other show can I think.
“Whether it be friendship or skills in telly or whether it be whatever you take with you for the rest of time.
“I think this is very special and everyone should be very proud.”
Holly – who was joined at the bash by Phil and former ‘This Morning’ hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan – previously admitted she doesn’t know how she and Phil “got away” with presenting the show in a drunken state following the National Television Awards in 2016.
In fact, she’s shocked that no one on the show didn’t try to stop them from going on the air.
Holly – who joined ‘This Morning’ in 2009 – confessed: “I still to this day don’t know how we got away with it. I don’t know how we got away with it.
“I don’t know why someone didn’t stop us from going on air.”

Lily Allen was nearly sectioned

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Allen was almost sectioned after a row with her ex-husband.
The 33-year-old singer had an explosive argument with Sam Cooper when she thought he had a new partner, and it led to her being close to being hospitalised against her will, but her boyfriend MC Meridian Dan stopped medical staff from sedating her and taking things further.
She recalled: “It was a build-up of everything and that [Sam’s new relationship] was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
“When I feel that the people I trust most have betrayed that, my whole world falls out from underneath me.
“[The staff] had me pinned down on the floor. I picked up a water cooler and threw it through the window.
“Dan said six nurses tackled me to the floor and they had the needle out and were about to knock me out and sedate me. Once the needle goes in, you’re sectioned. [Dan] had to really fight with them not to do it.”
The ‘Not Fair’ singer – who has daughters Ethel, six, and five-year-old Marnie with Sam – also spoke about how she stopped eating and vomited before a show after fame took its toll on her body confidence.
She told the new issue of Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “I was gearing up to do promo for the second album. That’s when I started not eating, when I started thinking about having to do photo shoots and red carpets.
“When I was feeling really bad, everything that I ate would come back up. If I wasn’t, it would be just lunch or dinner.
“Part of me getting ready for a show would be to vomit for 20 minutes.
“Then I’d clean up my face and start doing my hair and make-up. I just felt really fat and grotesque.”
But Lily has found therapy very helpful and is “terrified” that one day her current counsellor won’t be around for her.
She admitted: “I love my therapist more than anything. I’m terrified of the day he’s going to die.
“I’ve actually asked him, ‘Do you have an apprentice? If you get hit by a car, does someone else just sit there? And are they up-to-date on what’s going on with me?’ ”
The full interview with Lily appears in the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, which is out on Wednesday (03.10.18).

Mindy Kaling in lucky position

OHMYGOSSIP — Mindy Kaling feels “lucky” to be an older mother because she can “fit” her daughter into her work.
The 39-year-old actress welcomed little Katherine – whose father she hasn’t disclosed – into the world last December and she’s thankful she’s in a position where she can request accommodations are made for her to have the tot on set with her.
She said: “I’m really lucky because I get to create my own job opportunities. Because I do that, I can fit my daughter into my job. It’s a luxury most American women don’t have.
“It’s one of the nice things of having had my baby a little bit later in my career. I can be like, ‘Hey, I want a little area that I can have my daughter play because I want to check up on her at work.’
“That is probably the biggest perk of my life: to involve my daughter so much in my career.”
When she isn’t busy working, the ‘Ocean’s 8’ actress is having a great time teaching Katherine to swim.
She told People magazine: “I’m teaching her how to swim. It’s great when you teach a nine month old how to swim because the bar is really low, which is great because I’m not a really strong swimmer but it’s making me feel athletic.
“Every weekend now I try to swim with her, like 45 minutes in the pool. It’s one of the nice things living in Los Angeles. I can pretty much do that all year round and slowly teach her how to swim.”
The proud parent is also delighted that Katherine has started to speak – though she admitted she’s reading more into the baby’s babbling than she probably should.
She said: “She started saying ‘Mama.’ Although she’s kind of just saying like, ‘Mama mama ma.’
“So I have decided to just take it personally and decide that she is saying ‘Mama’ to me. Although she says it to the lamp.”
But Mindy isn’t so impressed by Katherine’s eating habits.
She laughed: “She is so messy. I’ve never taken her to anywhere fancy. Forget it, she’s not going to somewhere fancy until she’s 21.”

Blake Shelton will be ‘ugly’ again after Sexiest Man Alive reign

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Shelton will go back to being “disgusting and ugly” when he passes the torch of Sexiest Man Alive.
The 42-year-old singer was the first ever country star to be recognised with the title in November last year – following on from the likes of Ryan Reynolds, David Beckham and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – and he has joked the ego boost is almost over as PEOPLE magazine prepares to unveil this year’s cover star.
Asked by the publication if being given the honour gave him more confidence, he laughed: “I think my reign is almost over… I remember it was right around Thanksgiving that that came out, so I guess whoever the new person is is about to take over and I’ll go back to being disgusting and ugly!”
Blake previously admitted he was going to “milk” his new title for everything because he has been “fat and ugly” his whole life.
He teased: “I mean, you can’t be the sexiest man alive … unless you’re the sexiest man alive.
“I said this in the magazine when I did my interview for Sexiest Man Alive, that I had been fat and ugly my whole life, and if only for one year, I get to be sexy, I am going to milk this for everything that it’s worth.”
What’s more, the ‘God Gave Me You’ hitmaker joked at the time he “feels bad” for his 48-year-old girlfriend Gwen Stefani because while she’s dating a hunk, she now has to share him with the rest of the world.
He quipped: “You know, I feel bad for her because she has been in the spotlight, and this symbol of beauty, and now this. You know what, it’s going to be humbling for her but I think she’s got a big enough heart. She can do it.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding was ‘incredibly romantic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk’s wedding was an “incredibly romantic” occasion.
The 46-year-old actress and Brad, 47, tied the knot in The Hamptons on Saturday (29.09.18), and it was apparent to onlookers just how much the occasion meant to the ‘Iron Man’ star.
A source shared: “She seemed so relaxed at her rehearsal dinner but seemed slightly nervous right before she walked down the aisle, but her mom gave her loving encouragement.
“Gwyneth has wanted this for a very long time, you could tell this meant the world to her.”
Blythe Danner, Gwyneth’s mother, was in tears during the ceremony and the American actress is said to “love” her new son-in-law.
The insider told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Her mother was crying during the ceremony – happy tears, of course.
“She just was so emotional and is so excited for Gwyneth. She absolutely loves Brad.”
And Gwyneth – who has kids Apple, 14, and Moses, 12, with her ex-husband Chris Martin – is reported to have become noticeably more relaxed after the exchanging of vows.
The eyewitness said: “After the ‘I dos,’ Gwyneth was elated and danced throughout the evening.
“The atmosphere was incredibly romantic. The flowers were beautifully arranged on the tables with crystal wine glasses and candles. It was a very Hamptons, outdoorsy feel. The weather was glorious so it truly was a perfect scene.”
Earlier this year, the Goop founder praised the ‘Glee’ producer as she admitted to having intimacy issues.
The actress explained: “I think that there are certain people who have a really hard time with intimacy.
“I always say, I’m a good sister. I’m a good daughter. I’m a good girlfriend. I’m a good mother.
“That romantic slice of the pie chart of my life has always been where I find my deepest work … I just am trying to towards intimacy instead of being scared of it and I’m really lucky that I found a partner that’s patient and loves me and is willing to help me with my process.”

Ryan Clayton confirms Coronation Street exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Clayton has confirmed he has departed ‘Coronation Street’.
The ‘Corrie’ star’s time as evil Josh Tucker came to a conclusion on screen last night (01.10.18) when David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) – who the mechanic raped earlier this year – drove him away from the cobbles, and Ryan admits he feels “grateful and blessed” to have starred on the soap.
He wrote on Twitter: “That’s all folks for Josh Tucker. What an honour @itvcorrie . Feeling so grateful & blessed – From being apart of this storyline/ working with such talented & sound people/ All the kind words & support from loved ones & complete strangers. It’s meant the world to me (sic)”
Viewers watched on as David drove Josh down a quiet road and pretended he was outside a police station as he grabbed onto the villain.
Confused Josh, who was recently left blind, reacted with panic that his life would be over if he was forced to confess to rape, giving David the closure he needed on the horrific ordeal.
Ryan and Jack worked with Survivors Manchester – a charity supporting men who have been the victims of sexual abuse – on the hard-hitting plot, and Ryan has thanked the organisation for their help with the storyline.
He wrote: “And of course more importantly than me being a soppy t**t, for anyone affected by this storyline please don’t suffer in silence – when you’re ready http://www.survivorsmanchester.org.uk/ thanks for the support @SurvivorsMcr @mrmadrigal (sic)”
Survivors Manchester tweeted: “We’re so proud of you @RClayton92 and thank you for everything.”

He wrote: “Now I’m out of work again more time to prep for the big clash again next season. See you out there lad. Except wont see me cause I’ll be going right past you lad! (sic)”

Lucy Pargeter even more ‘thankful’ for twins after Emmerdale story

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Pargeter was “thankful” to be cleaning baby sick off her bedroom floor last night (01.10.18) at the same time as her ‘Emmerdale’ character was losing a baby.
The 41-year-old actress welcomed twin girls Missy and Betsy – who she refers to as “twirls” – in April last year, and she is even more grateful for the pair after shooting a traumatic storyline in which her alter-ego Chas Dingle’s baby Grace was alive for just 20 minutes after being diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis.
She wrote on Twitter: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has watched tonight’s epp. I was cleaning sick up off my bedroom floor from one of the #twirls at the time , but knowing what was going on on screen I was thankful to be doing it … ” if that makes sense ” I hope it was
“Respectful of anyone who has been through anything close …. and makes people hold their children close and be thankful for the gift we have been given …. thank you x x x (sic)”
Both Lucy and Dominic Brunt, who plays Grace’s dad Paddy Kirk, were inundated with social media messages of praise after their tear-jerking performances on last night’s (01.10.18) ‘Emmerdale’, and the fan reaction left Dominic emotional.
He tweeted: “Dear all. Just looked at twitter. I’m just overwhelmed. Seriously. I’m filming in the middle of a field in the freezing rain so I haven’t seen the episode yet. I’ll read every single post when I get inside. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you @emmerdale @lucyparge
“Reading through all your responses to last nights episode is very emotional indeed. Thank you. To all parents who have lost a child and got in touch, as parents ourselves, we only felt a fraction of your pain and loss and our hearts are with you. x (sic)”
Dominic recently admitted he had to read his scripts for the baby loss story in private, because he kept bursting into tears.
He said: “It kept taking us by surprise. We read the script and it was almost impossible to read it without bursting into tears all the time, so I kept reading it in private.
“I thought it was just me being soft, but Lucy said the same.
“Situations where you were holding a real baby who was gurgling in front of you just made it all the more real and all the more emotional.”

David Walliams assisting Robbie Williams on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams is assisting Robbie Williams in Judges Houses on ‘The X Factor’.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge admitted he doesn’t know the “technicalities” behind what makes a strong performance but thinks he’s a good person to help the ‘Angels’ singer choose his finalists in the Groups category because he knows what sounds good and what is entertaining.
He said: “I’m not a musician, I’m a fan of music but when people start talking about vocal ranges I don’t really have a clue. I mean, I can hear when things aren’t great, but I don’t know the technicalities of it.
“But I think that’s OK because I just respond to a feeling, whether I thought people were good or not. The audience know as well, you just know when you’re being entertained or not.”
And the 47-year-old comic is thrilled to be helping Robbie because he doesn’t want his fellow ‘BGT’ judge Simon Cowell to win with the Girls.
He said: “You know what, the thing about this show is I’m actually a fan of it.
“I’ve always loved watching ‘The X Factor’, I’ve never missed a series. I’ve actually always wanted to do Judges Houses. I like that I’ve now done it with Rob because I want him to win, I don’t want Simon to win!
“I’ve known Rob for a long time, so it felt natural that we would do this together. It felt easy, we’re not at each other’s throats.”
David went on to praise Robbie as a judge because he thinks the former Take That singer has the perfect background to mentor aspiring pop stars.
He said: “He’s great because he’s very empathetic and he’s really been there. He’s also had his ups and downs as a person and as a performer in terms of his popularity.
“Look back at pictures of him at Glastonbury having left Take That and then you see him as the supreme popstar he is, it’s an incredible journey he’s been on. Joining Take That at 15, that’s insane.
“So when he speaks, he speaks from experience on all fronts.
“I think the contestants trust him because they know he’s been there and done it all.
“I think he’s had two very different experiences, he’s been in a band where to some extent you’re told how it’s going to be, to then become a solo artist and be able to express himself whatever way he wants, it’s interesting, not many people have had both those experiences.”
