OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Brocklebank experiences homophobia “every week”.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who plays homosexual vicar Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap – is often inundated with derogatory comments about his sexuality and hits back at negative comments about LGBT+ characters in the soaps, and while he says the world has “come so far”, he insists there is “still a long way to go”.
He said: “Sadly, I still experience homophobia every week, often via social media. The other week, a woman was horrified they’d brought a bisexual character into the show and tweeted saying it was bad enough ‘Corrie’ kept bringing in gay characters, but to ‘add insult to injury we’ve got a bi’.
“I replied, ‘Get used to your injury being insulted,’ because we’re not going anywhere.
“We’ve come so far and that’s wonderful, but there’s still a long way to go. As long as you’re a nice, decent person, what does it matter?”
The former ‘Merlin’ star is dating model Stuart Hatton, who cannot believe his significant other manages to act out being a “clean-cut vicar”, because he isn’t so innocent at home.
He said: “How he convinces 10 million people he’s a clean-cut vicar I don’t know, as he tells the dirties jokes ever.”
While Billy is usually a model professional, one of Daniel’s recent storylines saw the vicar hooked on heroin – and the actor admits playing out the plot was the “most exhausting eight months” of his life.
He added to OK! magazine: “That was the most exhausting eight months of my life. I was physically, emotionally and mentally done in.
“When Billy went to rehab, Daniel went to Thailand. From an acting perspective.”
Stuart added: “At Durham Pride a woman came over and said she went to rehab because of that storyline.”
Daniel said: “That’s happened a few times. To show a morally upright person end up like that shows addiction can affected anyone.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh and Katya Jones will dance the Charleston on this weekend’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The BBC have confirmed the pair will perform on the Latin and ballroom programme as expected, which comes after fans called for them to be axed when they were spotted smooching each other during a night out, despite both being in other relationships.
Following the kiss, Seann has been dumped by his girlfriend of five years, Rebecca Humphries, but Katya’s husband Neil Jones wrote on social media that he was “really proud” of the pair’s routine last weekend.
The pair have been back in training this week, after publicly apologising to their respective partners, ahead of their Charleston routine to Lunchmoney Lewis’ ‘Bills’.
The dance is not expected to involve as much contact as their Paso Doble last week, and following their kiss it has been claimed that Seann and Katya’s routine was made less “sexy”.
Seann’s girlfriend hit out at him in a statement she shared on social media last night (08.10.18), claiming he had called her “a psycho” and “mental” for suggesting “something inappropriate was going on” between him and Katya.
Rebecca also revealed she had ditched him and is “not sorry” for taking their cat.
She wrote: “Hello there, My name is Rebecca Humphries and I am not a victim.
I wasn’t sure whether to respond to events from the past week, but I feel the narrative has missed a couple of crucial elements that I would like to clear up.
“It’s incredibly good of Sean(n) and Katya to apologise in the media. I have received nothing, other friends, and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to than the support of my family, friends, and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was OK. What I have also kindly received are many offers to sell my side of the story, but I would prefer for it to be on my own terms.
“Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly called me a psycho / nuts / mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour.
But – this whole business has served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free; and no victim. I have a voice and will use it by saying this to any woman out there who deep down feels worthless and trapped with a man they love:
Believe in yourself and your instincts. It’s more than lying. It’s controlling. Tell some very close friends who, if they’re anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you.
It’s important also to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and their need for control comes from a place of vulnerability. I think it certainly does in Sean’s case. Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I’m not
sorry I took the cat though. Love. Rebecca (sic)”
Seann took to social media earlier this week to apologise for his actions.
He wrote: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions. This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for. (sic)”
Katya tweeted: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevie Nicks, Def Leppard and Roxy Music have been nominated for entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
The trio are all first time nominees into the Hall of Fame and are joined by other first timers John Prine, Devo and Todd Rundgren.
Stevie is a first-time nominee as a solo artist, as she has previously been inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of rock band Fleetwood Mac.
To be eligible for this year’s ballot each nominee must have released their first single or album in or before 1993.
The six acts are listed with nine others who have all been put forward for consideration before.
LL Cool J has received his fifth nomination and if successful he would become the seventh hip hop act inducted following in the recent footsteps of late star Tupac Shakur who was welcomed in 2017.
German techno pioneers Kraftwerk have received their fifth nomination and The Zombies have got their fourth, while R&B legend Janet Jackson has her third nomination after being listed in both 2016 and 2017.
The other nominees who have all also been nominated previously, include MC5, The Cure, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan.
Members of the public will once again be able to vote for their favourite acts to be inducted along with 800 music professionals who are tasked with narrowing down the list.
The confirmed five inductees will be announced at the end of December, and will receive their accolade at a ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York in March 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — Behati Prinsloo is returning to this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The 30-year-old model has missed the past two years to care for her and her husband Adam Levine’s young family, Dusty Rose, two, and seven-month-old Gio Grace, but she is “really excited” to be making a return to the runway spectacular.
In an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, she said: “You know what I actually am, I’m coming back this year, I missed two years, you know, I was pregnant so I was really excited to walk this year … I think it’s November 8.”
The Namibian beauty will be joined at the lingerie showcase in New York City by a host of the world’s beautiful models, including Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Martha Hunt, Adriana Lima, Stella Maxwell, Lais Riberio, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skiver, Romee Strijd, Candice Swanepoel and Jasmine Tookes.

OHMYGOSSIP — A leading eating disorder charity has heaped praise on ‘Hollyoaks’ for exploring bulimia in a recent storyline.
Beat – which supports those affected by eating disorders and campaigns on their behalf – has thanked the Channel 4 soap for raising awareness of bulimia ahead of tonight’s (09.10.18) special ‘Hollyoaks’ episode on E4 which will focus on Cleo McQueen’s (Nadine Mulkerrin) ongoing battle with the eating disorder.
Rebecca Field, Beats’ head of communication, said: “On average it takes nearly three years for someone to realise they have an eating disorder and visit a GP.
“That is why shows like ‘Hollyoaks’ can make a difference by raising awareness about these serious mental illnesses so people know to get help, and we are delighted to have been working with the show.”
The episode will see Cleo recall details of her perfect wedding day to her psychiatrist Farrah, only for Farrah to interrupt her and it soon becomes clear that Cleo has been telling lies.
As she sits in a hospital bed, she admits the true sequence of events, which has seen her cover up bruises with make-up, use whitener to cover her rotting teeth, and run upstairs to make herself sick after eating a bacon butty.
What’s more, her wedding dress didn’t fit because she lost so much weight, and she felt sick and sweaty while walking down the aisle.
Rebecca added: “The sooner someone gets treatment for an eating disorder, the better their chances of recovery.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Whitehouse says ‘Only Fools and Horses: The Musical’ is the “most daunting job” he has ever taken on.
The ‘Fast Show’ star has been waking up in the middle of the night at the thought of playing Grandad in the upcoming musical, which he has co-written with Jim Sullivan, the son of the classic sitcom’s late creator John Sullivan, but admits the show is even more “precious” for Jim.
He said: “It’s the most daunting job of my career as there is such an affection and love for it.
“I’ve been waking up at three o’clock in the morning thinking, ‘Oh god’. For Jim, it’s his dad’s, it’s very precious, he looks after the archive, he’s the caretaker of it.”
Paul and Jim have been “very careful” to pen the production with the fans in mind, following the huge success of the TV show, which spanned seven series, 64 episodes and 16 specials, all of which were written by John.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “We developed it very carefully and I’m very conscious of Jim and the family, as well as the fans.”
Despite being one of the musical’s main stars, alongside Tom Bennett, who will take on the role of Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter and Ryan Hutton, who will star as Rodney Trotter, Paul admits his singing and dancing is “limited”.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he said: “I think I can sing, and if you ask Bob Mortimer he will tell you, ‘Will you shut up,’ and my children they’ll say, ‘Shut up, dad,’ because I sing all the time.
“I get to sit down for most of it. I thought about that very carefully. I get to sit down for eight shows a week.”
Paul insists the show will not be “pretentious”, and he and Jim are trying to include as many of the classic comedy moments from the TV series as possible.
He added: “I think sufficient time has elapsed since the end of the series that we can do it without people thinking … you know, it’s a celebration. It’s a really fun show. There’s nothing pretentious.
“It’s a celebration of ‘Only Fools’ and London and Britain really.
“We’re trying to get the chandeliers in but we can’t smash antique chandeliers every night.”
The show will take place at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket from February 2019 and will include a number of the classic characters from the series, such as Raquel, Denzil, Mickey Pearce, Nags Head landlord Mike, and the dreaded Driscoll Brothers.
Sir David Jason played Del Boy in the original TV show with Nicholas Lyndhurst as Rodney, and Lennard Pearce portrayed Grandad.

OHMYGOSSIP — Raye has become the new face of Timberland’s Celebrate The Icons campaign.
The 20-year-old singer is working with the footwear and clothing brand and has released a new video for a garage remix of her 2017 hit ‘Decline’ especially for the company.
Speaking to Refinery29 about why she released the fresh track to mark the collaboration, she said: “I’ve been obsessed with garage recently, so I wanted to do a garage remix and then we did a little choreography, a little shoot … it really feels true to the 90s vibe.
“I think there was something beautiful about the 90s. We were a little less attached to our phones, the music was incredible, the style and our icons at that time were phenomenal. The 90s has a beautiful sheen over it … the music massively reflects that a lot.”
As well as working with Timberland, Raye has also been busy writing songs for Rihanna, Cheryl and Little Mix and admits when she is working with ‘Work’ chart topper Rihanna she still gets star-struck and “freezes”.
She explained: “I’ve been doing some bits on the Rihanna project. Whenever it comes to writing for her I just freeze and am like, ‘What would Rihanna say? What would she say?’ and I just cock it up every time.”
Little Mix unveil their new single ‘Woman Like Me’ on Friday (12.10.18) and will be releasing their fifth album later this year, and Raye has been blown away by how talented the four members, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, are in the studio.
She told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “They recorded some of the songs I did and they sound really good. The girls are so talented vocally but you don’t really hear it in their songs, so this record is really going to show that.”

The 19-year-old actress has chopped off all of her hair for her new part as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in Hulu’s new series ‘The Act’ and despite it being such a drastic style change she is adamant that “no part of her was nervous” beforehand.
Speaking to Allure, she said: “I’ve never really had an attachment to my hair. I couldn’t care less what happens to it.
“No part of me was nervous or was second-guessing it. So many people would ask me, ‘Are you really scared?’ Or, ‘Are you nervous?’ Or say, ‘You’re so brave.’ And I’d go, ‘I’m not brave, I’m just cutting my hair off.’ ”
The ‘Kissing Booth’ star revealed her dramatic change on Instagram and shared a video of herself having her head shaved, and a selfie while sat in the car – wearing minimal make-up and purple tinted shades.
She wrote: “My name for the next 4 months, is Gypsy Rose Blanchard. This story is very disturbing and I am honored to be able to portray it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy admits she’ll never “master” an American accent.
The English actress was forced to adopt an American accent for her starring role in the new drama movie ‘First Man’ – which tells the story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon – but Claire has confessed she continues to find it a struggle.
She shared: “It doesn’t come easy; it’s definitely a lot of work. And I will never master it. That’s the thing – I’ll never do a perfect American accent. You have to accept that that’s part of the flaw of acting.”
Claire, 34, has tried diligently to perfect the accent, but ultimately, she doesn’t believe moviegoers will be too fussed about it.
She told Yahoo!: “You can try and try and try, but ultimately you have to hope in the end that the perfection of something is not why people watch films. They want to be moved by the emotion and to see real people, as opposed to someone doing a perfect impression of someone else.
“So I did all the work that was humanly possible, but then you have to accept that you’re never going to reach perfection.”
Meanwhile, Claire recently admitted that despite emerging as one of the world’s most in-demand actresses, her new-found wealth and success hasn’t cured her problems.
The award-winning actress – who starred in the Netflix series ‘The Crown’ – revealed that contrary to her expectations, success hasn’t made her life any easier.
She said: “I never thought I’d be in something as successful as ‘The Crown’. And when you realise what success brings, and what people think about success…
“We laud success so much, and think that if you’re successful you’re special. When no, ultimately. Maybe it changes some people. But what I found really disconcerting was that it hadn’t changed me at all. Ultimately, all the same old crap is going on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Grint thinks fame can be “dehumanising”.
The 30-year-old actor – who starred as Ron Weasley in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies – has admitted to struggling with his own fame, saying it’s made his life a “weird existence”.
He shared: “It’s almost like having a split personality.
“Sometimes it can be quite dehumanising to have people just taking pictures of you when you’re out. To them, you are just this one thing. It’s a weird existence. But that’s my life.
“I can’t really remember life before it. In a weird way, you become blase about it. It becomes normal and you adapt.”
Rupert explained that finding stardom as a child has also led him to develop a peculiar relationship with his own age.
Speaking to the Independent, he said: “I don’t feel like I’m 30 at all. I have quite a weird relationship with age, because of that period of my life on ‘Potter’. It was very strange.”
Rupert starred in the money-spinning film franchise alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.
And he’s admitted that they all experienced very different childhoods compared to most people.
He said: “We were always with adults, absorbing their sense of humour, their references.”
In fact, Ruper has confessed to feeling detached from some of his classmates because of his experiences on the ‘Potter’ films.
He shared: “I always remember, the few times I did go back to school to do exams, I felt a real detachment from my peers.
“We had very little in common, which is quite isolating in a way. Which is why I think it felt like such a strong family unit on set. When you’re in it, you don’t really think about that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Warne says his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley “just fizzled out”.
The retired cricket star – who become engaged to the 53-year-old actress in 2011 – remembers their relationship as the “happiest time” of his life, but Shane admitted that it ultimately became “too difficult” for them both.
He shared: “Every relationship is different and it’s whatever works for you two, is the right relationship.
“For us, we were great and it was the happiest time in my life. I was madly in love with Elizabeth.”
Shane and Elizabeth called off their engagement in 2013, but the Australian star has insisted he remains fond of the actress, revealing that their children have also remained close.
Shane told ‘Good Morning Britain’: “We are still friends now, we still speak to each other all the time. Our kids speak to each other. Her son Damian speaks to my daughter Summer.
“Unfortunately, it just fizzled out. It wasn’t anything I did wrong or she did wrong. It was just one of those things, it all got a bit too difficult.”
Meanwhile, Shane’s ex-wife, Simone Callahan, recently admitted to being shocked when she discovered he was dating the English actress.
Simone – who has kids Brooke, Jackson and Summer with the ex-sportsman – said: “I only knew Liz Hurley as the funny English actress from the ‘Austin Powers’ movie until I saw Shane kissing her. I had no idea he was with her in London.
“I remember getting up in the morning, turning on the computer and seeing those photos.
“I was shocked and embarrassed for the children because it was so public and this was just before the holidays. It ruined our Christmas.
“Shane is a little kid, like Peter Pan, and he doesn’t think about how his actions will impact other people.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Johnson’s representative claims the actress isn’t expecting a baby with Chris Martin.
The 29-year-old Hollywood star was reported to be expecting a son with her partner of over a year after pictures were taken depicting what appeared to be several stars turning up for a gender reveal party on Sunday (07.10.18), where a blue set of balloon were released into the sky.
However, a representative for the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star has now told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that wasn’t the case, and the balloons and guests – including Dakota’s parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson – were simply part of a birthday party, to celebrate Dakota’s birthday on October 4.
TMZ had originally reported that Dakota and 41-year-old Chris – who already has daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, with his former wife Gwyneth Paltrow – had invited Dakota’s parents, along with stars including Sean Penn and Julia Roberts, to the bash where they let off blue balloons to signify they were expecting a baby boy.
Previously, ‘Suspiria’ actress Dakota played coy about her romance with the ‘Viva La Vida’ hitmaker, but said she was “happy”.
She said: “I’m not going to talk about it. But I am very happy.”
And whilst they might be doing what they can to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Dakota’s parents are more than happy to gush about their daughter’s beau.
Melanie said in May: “I adore him! But she is very private about her life and I respect that.”
Whilst Don gave his support for Chris when he said: “He’s a lovely guy. I’ve met him and you want your kids happy, no matter what shape it takes.
“That’s the goal, that’s the key. He’s a very talented and gifted musician. I’ve seen them in a concert at a small venue called the Troubadour in Los Angeles when they were first coming out and that was a memorable moment.
“I knew right then he’d be good for her. I said ‘Oh you know, that man has got something going on’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian is reportedly “continuing to struggle” with how her family feel about her boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
The 34-year-old reality star had her world rocked earlier this year when just days before the birth of her daughter True in April, her boyfriend Tristan – who is the father of True – was spotted seemingly getting close to another woman.
And whilst the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star has continued to stay with the NBA player and work on their relationship, her famous family – including sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian – are still unsure of whether to trust Tristan.
A source said: “[Khloe is] still very much insecure, [and is] struggling with trusting him to be on his own around other women when she isn’t there.
“In addition to her own insecurities about Tristan’s infidelity, Khloe is continuing to struggle with her family’s thoughts of Tristan as most of them haven’t forgiven him for cheating, even though they are trying to support Khloe’s decision to be with him. Everyone in the family ultimately wants what’s best for True, but they’re wary that Tristan will cheat again, and they hate seeing how this is effecting Khloe.”
The source added that Khloe and Tristan aren’t in “the best place” currently, as Khloe still has “trust issues” when it comes to her beau.

OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh’s girlfriend Rebecca Humphries has slammed the comedian for his “inappropriate, hurtful behaviour” after he was spotted kissing his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Katya Jones.
The 32-year-old funnyman is currently competing in the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition with professional dancer Katya – who is married to fellow dancer Neil Jones – whom he was spotted locking lips with outside a London pub last week.
On Monday (08.10.18) the pair both released statements apologising for the incident, but now Seann’s girlfriend Rebecca has taken to social media to slam her boyfriend of more than five years, claiming he hasn’t apologised to her.
She wrote: “My name is Rebecca Humphries and I am not a victim.

She continued: “Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We had spoken and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour.”
Rebecca then urged her followers to believe in themselves, and said it was time for all women in “controlling” relationships to take a stand.
She concluded” “I have a voice and will use it by saying this to any woman out there who deep down feels worthless and trapped with a man they love:
”Believe in yourself and your instincts. It’s more than lying. It’s controlling. Tell some very close friends who, if they’re anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics for you.
“It’s also important to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and their need for control comes from a place of vulnerability.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B wants to “gain back” some of her baby weight.
The ‘Bodack Yellow’ rapper has been working on shedding the pounds she put on when she was carrying her daughter Kulture Kiari – whom she has with her husband Offset – since the tot’s birth in July, but she has now claimed she thinks she might have gone too far with her weight loss, as she’d like to put a few of the pounds back on again.
Posting a picture of herself on Instagram, she wrote: “Now that i lost all the baby weight i gotta gain some back. Skinnymomma @teamiblends getting me snatched (sic)”
The post comes after Cardi, 25, previously claimed she was considering liposuction to remove her fat, because she doesn’t like working out.
She said: “I still got, like, a lot of love handles right here. They’re not much, but it’s, like, you know, I’m used to having, like, a real tight stomach. So this extra skin is like, ‘Where the f **k did you came from?!’
“But it’s like I might just get a little lipo. Because I mean, I feel like I can work out and my stomach will be back how it used to be. But I really don’t have time to work out. I never been the type to work out. I never stepped a foot in the gym.”
The ‘I Like That’ hitmaker has been open about her body struggles in the past, and also revealed she wanted a “titty renovation”, after being left shocked by how low her breasts have dropped since giving birth.
She said: Oh this sh*t is crazy, I have never done this sh*t in my life before. I have to f***ing tape my titties up because giving birth and sh*t.
“My titties were already a little low low because I got my tits done when I was 19 and I never wore a bra and sh*t. But when I was pregnant my sh*t was nice though. Now though, Kulture did me filthy!
“I don’t give a f**k, if you motherf*****s see me gone in November/December I’m getting my tits done, I don’t give a f**k.
“Matter of fact, I’m not even going to call it surgery, I’m just going to call it a titty renovation because I’ve got to renovate these. Sh*t is f**ked up, I’m out here taping myself so my tits can be [cluck cluck cluck noise]. I want my sh*ts to be like this again, sh*t is not looking beaut but I don’t give a f**k.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne says her husband Ozzy got two different infections in his hand after suffering just “a little cut”.
The 69-year-old rocker was forced to cancel a concert in California over the weekend when he spent the evening at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles undergoing surgery to treat an infection in his hand.
And now, his wife Sharon has said the problems began with just a small cut on his thumb, but when he hit it on a door, his hand swelled and he developed two different infections which needed to be operated on.
She said: “He had a little cut on his thumb. You know when you pull the side of your nail and he just left it. And then he hit it on a door. It started to get bigger and bigger, and then his middle finger, the same thing happened … and Saturday morning we took him into the emergency room and what had happened from a tiny thing here on the side of his nail, it had turned into two different infections in his hand.”
The 65-year-old television personality explained how the ‘War Pigs’ hitmaker has spent several days in hospital and is still there now, but feels much better as he’s happily tucking into ice cream.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Talk’, she said: “He had to have this operation where they cut the side of his thumb and this [middle] finger and they had to get rid of the infection. It’s been from something you think is absolutely nothing, he’s still in hospital today. It’s unbelievable. He’s on an antibiotic drip, two different kinds and he’s just stuck there… eating ice cream.”
Ozzy’s hand infections forced him to cancel his Mountain View show on Saturday (06.10.18), and it was announced on Monday (08.10.18), that two more shows during the week on Tuesday (09.10.18) in Chula Vista and Thursday (11.10.18) in Los Angeles have also been postponed.
