OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West deleted his social media profiles because he “realised his rants were becoming unhealthy”.
The 41-year-old rapper deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram accounts over the weekend, and sources have now stated that his decision was influenced by the backlash from his controversial rants he has posted since reviving his Twitter in April, in which he has voiced his support for divisive US president Donald Trump.
An insider said: “Kanye got to the point where he realised his rants were becoming unhealthy. This is why he deleted his account.
“When he gets into these Twitter rants, it’s very difficult for him to stop. It’s like an obsession and it actually affects his life. He knows it’s not healthy, so he wants to take things down a notch.”
And it seems Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West – with whom he has North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, eight months – is on board with the social media detox too.
The source added to People magazine: “Kim agreed it was time for him to take a social media break. She just wants him to focus on his family for a bit now. He can also focus better on his music and being creative when he avoids social media.”
Kanye’s deactivation comes after he came back to Twitter in April, after having stayed away from the micro-blogging site for nearly a year.
But his return was fraught with controversy, as he posted rants about topics ranging from his Yeezy line, to his former brother-in-law Lamar Odom, and to Donald Trump, whom he publicly declared his support for and called him “my brother”.
His comments caused the likes of Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and Rihanna to unfollow his Twitter account, whilst international stars including British musicians Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, Australian musician and YouTube star Troye Sivan, and Korean pop group BTS also followed suit in unfollowing him.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson “can’t stop smiling” following the birth of her daughter.
The 39-year-old actress welcomed her first daughter – and first child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawka – into the world last week, and sources have said she’s been over the moon with her new arrival, whom she’s named Rani Rose.
An insider said: “[Kate] can’t stop smiling. She’s always wanted a daughter so this is really a dream come true.”
The ‘Almost Famous’ actress already has sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, seven, from previous relationships, and the two boys are “so excited” to be big brothers to their sister.
Speaking to People magazine, the source added: “And her big brothers are so excited – they’ll be so protective and sweet to her always.”
Kate announced she had given birth to her baby daughter on her Instagram page.
She wrote: “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
And over the weekend, she shared the first picture of her new arrival, when she took to Instagram to post a snap of Rani wrapped in a blanket fast asleep.
Alongside two rose emojis, she wrote: “Our little rosebud.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Busy Philipps claims James Franco physically assaulted her on the set of ‘Freaks and Geeks’.
The 39-year-old actress – who has previously discussed the incident but has now provided more detail – has accused the Hollywood star of being overly-aggressive towards her during their time on the comedy series.
In her new book, ‘This Will Only Hurt a Little’, Busy explains: “It felt like over the summer he had read ‘Easy Riders’, ‘Raging Bull’ or something and had decided that the only way to be taken seriously was to be a f***ing p***k.”
Busy recalled one particular day on set, accusing James of stealing her lines.
The actress explained that tension gradually increased between the pair.
She said: “It’s not like I had that many on the show. I wanted my f***ing line.”
Later, they shot a scene in which James and Seth Rogen – who played Ken Miller – were asked to run after a vehicle that’d been pelting them with water balloons.
Recalling her own role in the scene, Busy said: “The director asked me to sort of hit James in the chest as we ran after the car and say my line.”
She added: “James did not say his line in response. Instead, he grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, ‘DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!’ And he threw me on the ground.”
The incident left Busy in a state of shock, though she tried to contain her emotion.
She said: “Immediately, I could feel the wet hot stinging of tears, but I tried like hell to suck them back in.”
The actress ran to Linda Cardellini’s trailer after re-shooting the scene and “dramatically sobbed”, but she claims that her co-star barely got a “slap on the wrist”.
Despite this, Busy says James offered an apology to her the next day.
She said: “He smiled and hugged me. And I don’t need to tell you this, but James is a f***ing movie star. He was horrible to me, yes, but he’s also gorgeous and charming as hell. That’s where the manipulation lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Mars was serenaded by Ed Sheeran for his birthday celebrations.
The ’24K Magic’ hitmaker turned 33 on Monday (08.10.18) and he took things a step further on the special occasion as the ‘Shape of You’ singer sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for him.
In a cheeky twist, he changed the lyrics to: “Happy Birthday, dear Two-time Super Bowl Performing Bruno…”
The star – who shared a video of the amusing moment on Instagram – could be seen eating from a pyramid of cupcakes which each had a letter spelling out ‘BRUNO’.
Clinking his glass to show his approval, the ‘Just The Way You Are’ singer commanded: “Again!”
Bruno hinted at just how surreal the moment was, and joked that it meant he has truly “made it”.
He wrote: “You know you’ve made it when you can hire Ed Sheeran to sing you Happy Birthday #ExtraForever #HappyBrunoMarsDay!”
Bruno and Ed were hanging out backstage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on the former’s world tour just hours before he went on stage.
He is currently being joined by Ciara, after previous support act Cardi B decided to step away to spend more time with her newborn daughter Kulture Kiari.
The celebrations came a day ahead of the 2018 American Music Awards, which will see the star nominated for both Favourite Male Artist in the Soul/R&B genre, and Best Tour.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington is determined to achieve empowerment without having to rely on “outside sources”.
The Hollywood actress has revealed that she considers empowerment to be a deeply personal thing – which she admits is difficult to achieve in the entertainment industry.
Kerry shared: “Honestly, I think about power as more of an internal phenomenon.
“I tend to think about empowerment for myself so that I have the courage and ability to act on the ideologies and priorities that resonate with me.”
Kerry, 41, is best known for her acting work but has also delved into producing.
And the Hollywood star – who plays Olivia Pope in the Shonda Rhimes-created drama series ‘Scandal’ – has revealed that the transition has boosted her own sense of “empowerment”.
She told Marie Claire magazine: “I’ve always wanted to cultivate a sense of empowerment within myself without seeking approval from outside sources, which is hard to do as an actor, which is part of why producing is so important and which is where some of my freedom, or learning, to take that sense of freedom and bring it to a larger audience and larger space has a lot to do with having my employer be a black woman.”
Kerry loves working with Shonda, saying she’s never felt under any pressure to change in order to conform to a stereotype.
The actress explained that Shonda simply “got” her from the beginning.
She said: “I didn’t feel like I had to twist myself into some other understanding of what black womanness is supposed to look like, because Shonda got me, and so I could get closer to my truth … Just her existence and working with her so intimately changed the idea of what power looked like in this business.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez “never miss a workout”.
The loved up pair are both keen to stay fit and healthy, and it appears the 49-year-old singer and her 43-year-old beau are keeping up their regime together and staying in great shape.
Basketball star Alex – who’s nickname is A-Rod – showed off their workout this week, and wrote on Instagram: “Crazy schedules means crazy hours, but we never miss a workout. It’s the best way to de-stress.) Here’s the upper body workout @jlo and I crushed late last night. #NoExcuses. (sic)”
J-Lo has been preparing for her performance at the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday night (09.10.18) and she recently revealed she’s in the “best shape of her life” as she also worked on her fitness ahead of her 15-show Las Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood.
Taking to her Instagram account, the ‘Get Right’ hitmaker said: “Feeling like superwoman after the show tonight! When I started this run I thought omg 15 shows in 27 days that’s a lot … but I made a promise to myself that instead of letting it wear me down I would be even stronger at the end of it … I will work out and be in the best shape of my life.
“There were moments I was tired and there was travel and I had to fit in my workouts where I could … but here we are with only 3 shows left!! And I am having so many emotions but mostly just feeling strong, happy and grateful!!! (sic)”
Jennifer isn’t the only one surprised by her physical ability as boyfriend Alex – whom she’s been dating for almost two years – has been training with her occasionally and is inspired by how athletic she is.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Pena is set to play the role of Mr. Roarke in ‘Fantasy Island’.
The 42-year-old actor – who previously starred in hits such as ‘Crash’ and ‘Ant-Man’ – has been added to the cast of the film adaptation from director Jeff Wadlow, Deadline reports.
Michael will star in the role that was previously filled by Ricardo Montalban on the ABC TV series.
On the show, the iconic Mr. Roarke served as the overseer of the island who granted the fantasies of its visitors.
The hit series, which launched in 1978, touched on a host of dark themes and the supernatural.
The movie adaptation has been written by the director alongside Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
News of Michael’s casting comes shortly after he claimed that attitudes towards Latino and Latina talent are changing in Hollywood.
Michael initially faced a struggle to establish himself in the movie business, given the lack of opportunities for Latino stars, but he thinks the landscape is slowly changing.
He shared: “The thing is, I started acting about 23 years ago, and it was very tough to get an audition, let alone a part. There are these things called ‘breakdowns’ where they give character descriptions and outline who can audition for them.
“I still have some of these, where the first 10 would be caucasian, so only caucasians could audition for them.”
But Michael now feels more optimistic about the movie business.
He said: “It was difficult for me to break through, because nine times out of 10, it was some gangster or whatever. Now, though, I don’t have such a pessimistic viewpoint about it all.
“The way that I’m seeing it, things are changing and becoming better all the time. I’m glad I can be a part of that. I want to keep on changing the status quo. It’s good to want change, but only if you’re willing to be part of that change.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone has been cast in his first movie role.
The 23-year-old rapper will turn his talents to acting as it’s been revealed he has landed a part in Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming Netflix feature film ‘Wonderland’.
As reported by Variety, ‘Rockstar’ hitmaker Malone has joined the cast alongside the likes of Alan Arkin, Iliza Schlesinger, Booke Woodbine, Hope Wilson and James DuMont.
Wahlberg will star alongside ‘Black Panther’ actor Winston Duke in the upcoming project, with longtime collaborator Peter Berg directing after they previously teamed up on ‘Lone Survivor’, ‘Patriots Day’, ‘Deepwater Horizon’ and ‘Mile 22’.
The script is being adapted from the novel ‘Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland’, which was written by Ace Atkins and forms part of the Spenser series of detective novels originally written by Parker until his death in 2010.
The character has been at the forefront of 48 New York Times bestseller novels, and Sean O’Keefe has been tasked with adapting the script for a feature film.
Malone’s character hasn’t been confirmed yet, but filmmaker Berg previously suggested there could be sequels in the pipeline.
He said: “I think there’s 150 books with this character. So if it’s successful and it’s something that we do one every three years or two years – I don’t know what the number would be – and it’s something that we all like, that we feel is creatively satisfying and doesn’t feel like a slog, I think we would definitely do it. Mark and I are brothers and we love working together.”
Although the movie will mark Malone’s first acting role, it comes after he teased a track he has written and recorded for the upcoming animated film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.
Giving fans a hint of what to expect during a recent appearing on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, he was heard crooning: “I’m so fired up/ You’re a sunflower/ I think your love would be too much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande will return to the stage for a special New Year’s Eve show.
The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ singer – who recently revealed she was too scared to tour after a difficult two years including the Manchester terror attack and the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller – has confirmed a concert for December 29.
Ariana will take to the stage at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to kick off the last weekend of the year, with Imagine Dragons returning to their hometown two days later to ring in 2019.
The exciting news comes after it was announced that Ariana – whose former flame passed away last month from a suspected overdose at the tragic age of just 26 – is set to perform at the first-ever Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala benefiting F**k Cancer in Los Angeles on October 13.
The star – who has had a tragic couple of years, which saw 22 people die at her concert in Manchester, north west England after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb in the arena’s foyer area and more recently, Mac’s death – previously admitted she wants to go tour but is too frightened.
She tweeted: “I’m antsy. can’t sit still. i wanna tour now. yesterday i jus wanted to sit home forever but today i wanna do show and see u. it’s all v up n down rn. but hi. ily. i am working on it. i’ll keep ya posted.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack White’s band The Raconteurs plan to release their first new album in ten years.
The group – which also includes Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler – have confirmed they are currently working on their first new record in more than a decade, and they plan to release the long-awaited album in 2019.
The Raconteurs’ last studio album was ‘Consolers of the Lonely’, which was released in March 2008.
And the band’s Third Man Records has just released two new songs from their recent sessions alongside a reissuing of their most-recent album.
The ‘Consolers of the Lonely’ reissue has been remastered from the original tapes and pressed on copper foil vinyl.
Meanwhile, Jack previously revealed he considers it an artist’s responsibility to “show something that no one else is doing”.
The 43-year-old star – who is best known for his work with The White Stripes – explained his outlook while discussing the rise of digital music.
He shared: “If it was 1999 and I was asked: ‘What do you think about digital music?’, it was my job to say: ‘Is that what everyone else is doing? Then I don’t like it.’
“If the world had been into analogue, I would’ve said I loved digital. As an artist it is your job not to take the easy way out. I want to be turned on when I listen to an artist speak: I want them to show something that no one else is doing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses have reportedly changed Seann Walsh and Katya Jones’ upcoming routine to make it less sexy.
The duo were recently pictured kissing while on a night out in London and the people behind the BBC show have now decided to scrap the performance they originally planned for Saturday night (13.10.18), conscious that viewers will be watching their routine very closely.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “There was a feeling that the touchy-feely dance they were doing was not appropriate given the circumstances.
“The new one is much more fitting – no one wants to see them looking too sexy together, or too happy, when their partners are hurting.”
It’s believed that Seann and Katya were originally scheduled to perform a rumba, salsa or Argentine tango.
What’s more, it’s been reported that the professional dancer – who has been married to fellow dancer Neil Jones since 2013 – has been asked to wear a less revealing outfit for the show.
Katya has already apologised for kissing Seann, insisting it was a “one-off mistake”.
She wrote on Twitter: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship. (sic)”
Despite this, Seann’s girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries, has revealed that when she confronted him about the possibility of “something inappropriate” happening, Seann dismissed the suggestion.
She said: “Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We had spoken and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Enrique Iglesias has “more sex than ever” since becoming a father.
The ‘Hero’ singer and his long-term partner Anna Kournikova welcomed twins Nicholas and Lucy into the world last December but having twins doesn’t mean they no longer have time for one another.
Enrique said: “It’s probably more sex now than ever. The sex has not diminished.”
The couple have been together since 2001, and though they have their “ups and downs”, the 43-year-old singer couldn’t be happier.
He gushed to The Sun newspaper: “Like any couple, you still go through your ups and downs and it’s not always perfect. But it is perfect in a way.
“It’s incredible to watch her be such a great mother. It’s incredible to watch a mum do what she does, when a mother’s instinct kicks in.”
Despite being so happy with the 37-year-old former tennis star, Enrique admitted shortly before their twins were born that he still hadn’t introduced Anna to his father, singer Julio Iglesias.
He previously admitted: “They still haven’t met, no. They have to meet at some point.”
The ‘Tonight’ singer also admitted he and Anna had no plans to tie the knot but they already live the life of a married couple anyway.
He said: “We’re just as happy. There comes a point when you’ve been with someone for a certain amount of time that I believe that you are like, married.
“I guess the only difference is that we haven’t walked down the aisle.”
Enrique raised eyebrows when he introduced Anna as his wife during a concert in Russia in 2011 but he subsequently admitted he simply got caught up in the moment.
He said: “It was just meant to be sweet, in the moment. I honestly didn’t mean to confuse people. I thought it’d be easier for the audience to understand than if I said, ‘my girl’.
“I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper. And nowadays it’s not taboo to have kids and not be married.
“What makes a difference is that you’re a good parent.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner can’t “accept” that ‘Game of Thrones’ is ending.
The 22-year-old actress has played the role of Sansa Stark since the HBO fantasy epic’s launch in 2011, and she admitted she is almost in denial about next year’s eighth season being its last.
She told ‘Entertainment Weekly’: “I still don’t accept that it’s done. It’s basically been the majority of my life. I’m still very much processing it.”
Sophie has wrapped up filming her scenes for the show, and she revealed she was surrounded by many of her cast members during her last day on set.
Meanwhile, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss also presented her with a gift – a storyboard of their favorite Sansa scene. She added: “They wrote a long note on the back. I bawled my eyes out. I was shaking and crying for hours.”
Her comments come after co-star Peter Dinklage – who plays Tyrion Lannister on the show – revealed his alter ego has a “beautiful” ending.
He recently said: “There are no better writers in television than [showrunners] Dan Weiss and David Benioff. They ended it brilliantly. Better than I could have imagined and you people are in for it.
“It ends beautifully for my character whether it be tragic or not.”
Peter previously admitted he had found it hard to say goodbye to the show because he had “developed deep roots” in many of the areas he shot the drama in because it was so far away from the home he shares with wife Erica Schmidt and their two children.
He added: “I had my last day on set in July, just over two months ago now and it was very sad.
“This is not only a great TV show to be a part of, but it was an enormous family to be a part of.”

The ‘Girl on the Train’ actress said to be around six months pregnant with her first child with the 46-year-old filmmaker and the ‘Darkest Hour’ director – who is currently based in London – is planning to settle down in the United States to be closer to his 30-year-old girlfriend.
A source told PageSix: “They’re expecting a baby this winter”
They added that they are “very happy” at this time.
Haley officially confirmed her romance with the director – who has two children Mohan, three and seven-year-old Zubin with ex-wife Anoushka Shankar – in September.
The blonde beauty shared a picture on Instagram of the couple kissing in a romantic embrace, in a Polaroid photo.
She captioned the photo: “Cling to me, Joe, my bliss.”
It was revealed in January that the ‘Hanna’ filmmaker had split from Anoushka.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen Pompeo says ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fans will decide when the show ends.
The 48-year-old actress – who plays the part of of Dr Meredith Grey on the hit TV show – previously suggested she may be ready to walk away from the medical drama at the end of the 16th season, but Ellen has now admitted that her own attitude and that of creator Shonda Rhimes can be swayed by fan opinion.
She confessed: “It’s something Shonda and I will decide together. I’ve been doing it a long time and I do get restless, but the fans are just still so passionate about the show.”
Asked how they’ll know for sure that it’s time to quit ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, Ellen confessed: “I think the fans will let us know. When the numbers start to drop and people aren’t watching the same, people aren’t as passionate about it … it’s time to call it.”
Ellen has starred in the same role since 2005 and is now established as one of the TV industry’s best-paid actresses.
The American star loves that the show has inspired people through their own real-life troubles.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “When you meet people [who] are going through things in their life and they say the show brings them solace and the show brings them comfort, whether they have cancer, whether they are an abuse victim, whether they’re in a marginalised community – even though it is a silly soap opera – to know that you’re really touching people and making people feel better, even if it’s just because they’re crying, it’s meaningful.
“As an actor, what we want to do is to tell stories and have those stories reach people.”
Ellen insisted she doesn’t take her role “for granted”.
She said: “We are really, really touching people’s lives. I see the effects of it everyday. I hear the stories. We really make a difference in people’s lives.

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Lawson fell ill during the opening night of ‘Rebus’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor plays the titular inspector in the play at Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre, but last night (08.10.18) he announced he was feeling faint near the start of the second half of the production.
According to The Scotsman newspaper, Charlie’s co-stars helped him from the stage and his understudy Neil McKinven – who had already appeared on stage in other roles – took over for the remainder of the performance.
Author Ian Rankin, who created the ‘Inspector Rebus’ book series, was in attendance at the sold out theatre to watch the performance, and admitted Charlie put on a “very good Scottish accent”.
He also confirmed the ‘Corrie’ star – who plays Jim McDonald in the ITV soap – had fallen ill during his performance, and praised “heroic” understudy Neil.
Ian wrote on Twitter: “He took ill. Understudy stepped in and was heroic.

Earlier this morning (09.101.8), Ian told a fan he had yet to hear how Charles is.
He wrote: “No news yet of Charles.”
Theatre critic and director Liam Rudden tweeted: “Wishing Charles Lawson a speedy recovery after he had to leave the stage during tonight’s performance of #Rebus: Long Shadows at The King’s, Edinburgh.
Kudos to Neil McKinven who continued in the title role with book in hand to ensure the tale was resolved.

Charlie recently revealed Coronation Street’ bosses had to “completely rewrite” his comeback storyline because they didn’t check how long he was available for.
He claims they wanted him for a year but he had already signed up to ‘Rebus’.
Charlie said: “The scheduling didn’t work too well. ‘Corrie’ asked me back for a year but I had accepted ‘Rebus’ by that point.
“They said, ‘What do you mean, no?’ when I told them I couldn’t do it, so I explained I was doing ‘Rebus’ and they should have checked earlier.
“There’s a general assumption in TV that you are available but that’s not the case with me.
“They had to completely rewrite the storyline because I was only available from June to August.”
