Lili Reinhart taught Madelaine Petsch about skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart taught Madelaine Petsch how to take care of her skin.
The 22-year-old actress helped her ‘Riverdale’ co-star with her beauty regime when the pair lived together, and although she’s a “product junkie” the star was able to help Madelaine, 24, “narrow down her routine.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Madelaine said: “Lili was actually the person who got me on a good skincare game and taught me about the steps you’re supposed to take.
“She helped me narrow down my routine, which is so funny because she is such a product junkie too.”
If this wasn’t enough, the blonde beauty, who plays Betty Cooper on the CW drama series, also used to help out Madelaine – who portrays the villainous Cheryl Blossom – by popping her zits and blocked pores.
She said: “When we lived together, I used to lay in her lap at night and she would go to town on my blackheads.”
The beauty wears a lot of make-up when playing her bewitching alter-ego – including her characters signature bright red lipstick – and the star has admitted that she used to struggle with removing all the products from her face, but has since started a new routine, which includes a baking soda cleansing foam.
She said: “I used to be very OCD about getting my makeup off and would triple wash my face. But for the past few months, I’ve been using the Bioré Micellar Water. I use to baking soda version when my skin is dry, and the charcoal formula when I’m oily, and go in afterwards with the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Foam.
“The micellar water takes off my makeup so well and then the face was really cleanses my pores.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow was determined to step up for his wife Dawn after their daughter was stillborn.
The 47-year-old pop star and Dawn suffered the heartbreak of losing their daughter Poppy in August 2012, and Gary says he immediately turned his attention towards supporting his wife through their anguish.
Gary – who has been married to Dawn since 2000 – shared: “The way I was thinking around Poppy’s death was, I’ve got to look after Dawn. It wasn’t about me, it was about her and me stepping up as a husband.
“When you say you are going to be together and you take those vows, you look after your partner, that’s just what you do. It’s how you react in that situation. She’s just amazing.”
Despite the emotional turmoil, Gary performed at the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony.
But the British star has admitted he’s never watched his performance back and that it was a “tough” moment for him.
Gary – who has Daniel, 18, Emily, 16, and Daisy, nine, with Dawn – told ITV’s ‘Lorraine’: “It felt like a job, I’ve just got to get on and got to get off again.
“It was really going through the motions for me, I was in my own world. I have never watched it back. I don’t know what was going on in my head. It was tough.”
Gary previously revealed that he hopes talking about his own heartbreak will encourage other people to follow suit.
The Take That star explained: “After Poppy died, people wrote to me about suffering the same awful experience. Many had kept so much of it locked away in secret.
“I’ve wondered about the value and purpose in sharing something so private, but I’d have been denying Poppy her legacy not to. Maybe sharing our story will help others talk about theirs.”

Sam Smith tried ‘live’ octopus

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith ate “moving” octopus.
The 26-year-old singer tucked into what appeared to be traditional Korean dish San-nakji – sashimi which is so fresh, the dead tentacles are still squirming when it is served – while in Gwangjang Market while touring in Seoul and found the unusual dish “really tasty”.
The ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ hitmaker posted a video of himself which showed him sat in the heaving market tasting the traditional dish, struggling to pick up the food but eventually seeming to enjoy it.
In the video, he said: “It’s really hard; it’s really difficult because it’s moving…That’s really good”
“That’s really f***ing tasty you know”.
The star captioned the video: “Gwangjang Market. Best part of my job is the music and the shows, second best part is getting to try all these mad and different foods.
“What an amazing day. P.S. this was genuinely nice, wasn’t just saying it x” (sic)
The octopus is bought live by the diner before being chopped up and served raw on a plate – meaning the tentacles continue to wriggle about for a long time, despite being detached from the octopus’ body.
The ‘Stay With Me’ singer was flooded with comments from Twitter users who couldn’t believe the musician had sampled the dish.
One user wrote: “OMG Sam it’s moving! Your so brave I would never try that! Amazing that you did though. Hope you’re having a good time in Soul!!” (sic)
Another said: “Oh Sam …. you know how I love all you do …. but no I shall not be following your example in food choices” (sic)
Sam also tweeted a picture of himself sat in his dressing room holding a Buchaechum – a traditional Korean fan.
He captioned the photo: ” SEOUL, YOU READY?” (sic)

Kim Kardashian West had ‘worst’ time on DWTS

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West felt like an “idiot” on ‘Dancing With the Stars’.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star was the third eliminated with dancer Mark Ballas when she took part in the Latin and ballroom contest in 2008 but she’s unlikely to have been too disappointed with her early exit as she had the “worst” time on the show.
Milo Manheim is competing this year with Witney Carson and the 17-year-old actor sought advice from family friend Kim after signing up – but she didn’t have anything positive to say.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “So, she doesn’t like dancing as much as I do, and I was like, ‘I’m about to do ‘Dancing With the Stars’, tell me, how was your experience?’ And she was like, ‘Milo, it’s the worst! Like you get injured, you feel like an idiot,'” Milo recalled. “And I was like, ‘OK…” So that was kinda my advice from her.”
The ‘Zombies’ star met Kim and her family when he taught them how to play poker ahead of a celebrity tournament.
He explained: “I met them a couple months ago and I taught them how to play poker, because they had a big [charity] poker event coming up and they did not know how to play.
“So they asked me and my mom (actress Camryn Manheim) to come over and we showed them, and they’re the best family ever.”
And despite Kim’s lack of encouragement on the show, she, her mother Kris Jenner and half-sister Kendall Jenner, have all taken to Twitter to urge their followers to back Milo on the show, much to his delight.
He added: “Now they’re even better because they’re posting about us and supporting us!”

Courtney Act’s Bi Life aim

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Act thinks ‘The Bi Life’ will help to “normalise” bisexual dating.
The 36-year-old drag queen is keen for the new E! dating show – a 10-part series that follows a group of British singletons who embark on a life of dating and romance in Barcelona – to give bisexual people and the LGBTQ+ community a sense of “visibility” and “representation”.
When asked if ‘The Bi Life’ will “normalise” bisexual dating in a way that society needs, Courtney – whose real name is Shane Jenek – said: “I think so. Bisexual people suffer most from lack of visibility. They’re the largest percentage of the LGBTQ+ community and the least visible and least represented.
“In the visibility that ‘The Bi Life’ is delivering, it might not be the most activist-y or advocate-y but there’s a group of people having genuine experiences. That is an interesting and wonderful thing to watch.”
Courtney believes bisexuality is “misunderstood” by society and thinks the show will be a successful platform for the LGBT+ community.
She said: “People are obviously obsessed with dating shows – look at the success of ‘First Dates’ and ‘Love Island’.
“The cool thing about ‘The Bi Life’ is there is something for everyone.
“There is opposite sex people going on dates with same sex people. There’s trans experiences and all sorts of different dating experiences. I think in the society that we live in [bisexuality] is misunderstood and a bit taboo and therefore I think people might want to watch.”
‘The Bi Life’ premieres on Thursday October 25th at 9pm on E! UK & Ireland.

Malcolm McDowell to play Rupert Murdoch in Roger Ailes movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Malcolm McDowell will play Rupert Murdoch in Annapurna Pictures’ movie about Roger Ailes.
The 75-year-old actor will portray the Australian media mogul in the upcoming drama film surrounding the downfall of Ailes, the former Chairman and CEO of Fox News and Fox Television Stations.
It will be directed by Trumbo’s’ Jay Roach and will tell the story from the point of view of the women who took on the toxic male culture of Fox News and ultimately led to Ailes’ downfall and departure.
Ailes left the network in 2016 amid a sexual and workplace harassment scandal, and the movie will tell the story of those who were employed by Fox at the time.
Murdoch, 87, was one of the CEO’s strongest supporters, however, he ultimately made the decision to fire him.
The project already boasts an all-star cast featuring made up of John Lithgow as Ailes and Charlize Theron, who will play political commentator Megyn Kelly – whose decision to go public with her story of abuse is seen as monumental in the story.
Nicole Kidman has been confirmed as former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson – who sued Roger for harassment in July 2016 – and Margot Robbie will portray a fictional Fox News associate producer and Allison Janney has landed a role as the chairman’s defence lawyer Susan Estrich.
Oscar winner Charles Randolph penned the script for the movie, which currently has the working title ‘Fair and Balanced’.

David Schwimmer joins Panama Papers drama

OHMYGOSSIP — David Schwimmer has joined the cast of drama film ‘The Laundromat’ about the Panama Papers scandal.
Netflix has confirmed it will finance and release the movie, which follows the story of German journalists Frederik Obermaier and Bastian Obermayer who broke the news of the leaked documents which exposed the personal details of more than 214,488 offshore entities and penned the book ‘Panama Papers: Breaking the Story of How the World’s Rich and Powerful Hide Their Money’.
The film will be directed by Steven Soderbergh and former ‘Friends’ star Schwimmer, 51, who will portray Matthew Quirk, a lawyer representing a large insurance company who land themselves in hot water after an excursion, goes wrong and leaves 20 elderly passengers dead.
However, once he looks into the company he finds it is just a P.O. Box in Nevis, and this incident triggers lawyers, government officials and more to track down other shell companies.
This chain of events leads officials to Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca, who created hundreds of thousands of fake companies to help the wealthy avoid paying taxes.
The film has been penned by Scott Z. Burns, while Burns, Lawrence Grey, Soderbergh, Michael Sugar, Gregory Jacobs, and Topic Studios are producing.
The cast also includes Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman, 60, Antonio Banderas, 58, and 69-year-old Hollywood legend Meryl Streep.
Earlier this year, Meryl picked up her 21st Oscar nomination for her role in Steven Spielberg’s drama ‘The Post’ – which followed the struggle her character, Kay Graham, faced while deciding whether to publish sensitive information from the Pentagon Papers.
She has previously spoken out about the importance of a free press in America, saying: “Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you. You are the fourth estate; you are our first line of defence against tyranny and state-sanctioned news.”

Graham Norton ‘didn’t want to be’ gay

OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Norton “didn’t want to be” gay.
The 55-year-old chat show host was born in a Dublin suburb and grew up in Cork, southern Ireland, but he has admitted he “wasn’t even sure” he was homosexual during his younger years, and didn’t think anyone else in the country was at the time.
He said: “There were gay bars in Dublin and Cork but I didn’t know. And also I wasn’t even sure that I was [gay]. Those realisations come to you suddenly, because you don’t want to be.
“So you’re kind of thinking, ‘Oh maybe I’m not.’
“How Ireland has changed. Ireland is such an optimistic, hopeful, lovely place right now. And it’s young people getting engaged in politics and turning that country around.”
Graham says he was made to feel “less” Irish, partly because he was a Protestant in a country full of Catholics, and it has taken him “a long time” to get his head around his “Irishness”.
He said: “I grew up in southern Ireland as a Protestant and it was only about three or four per cent of the population.
“People would sign letters to the newspaper and radio from ‘a good Irish Catholic’. And it seemed like you needed all three of those words to be any of them.
“Without the Catholic you felt, ‘Can I be a real Irish…’ and you were made to feel less. Yet you feel, ‘I can’t be anything else. I can’t lay claim to any other nationality. I am Irish.’
“It’s taken me a long time to get my head around that, and own my Irishness.”
Graham recently penned his second novel, ‘A Keeper’, a follow up to his debut tome ‘Holding In’, which came after years of telling himself he was going to write a book – but he “wasn’t sure” if he would be able to carry out the mammoth task.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he added: “At some point you just need to shut up or just do it. It’s not rocket science, just do it.
“Could I complete this task? I wasn’t sure.”

Kanye West to have lunch with President Trump

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West will have lunch with President Donald Trump on Thursday (11.10.18).
The 41-year-old rapper – who has been a vocal supporter of the US leader – is to meet with senior adviser Jared Kushner and then with the commander-in-chief to discuss a variety of issues, the White House have advised.
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: “Kanye West is coming to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and he will also meet with Jared Kushner.
“Topics of discussions will include manufacturing resurgence in America, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence, and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago.”
According to the New York Times newspaper, the ‘All Day’ rapper is reportedly keen to discuss furthering job opportunities for former convicts, and how to increase the number of manufacturing jobs in his native Chicago.
Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West – the mother of his children North, five, Saint, two, and nine-month-old Chicago – met with the president in May to appeal for clemency for inmate Alice Marie Johnson.
And Trump – who ultimately granted clemency to Johnson, who had been serving life without parole for a first-time drug offence – believes Kim did a “great thing”.
He said: “She did a great thing. She did a great thing.
“The person was in jail on a very strange thing. She was there for 22 years and it was based largely on a phone call that they were listening to and she had another 24 years.”
The US leader has also spoken in praise of the famous couple.
He said in a fundraising dinner in August: “Now we’re doing great and Kanye West liked me and that really lifted my … Kanye West has some real power!
“He’s got a good wife too, in Kim, I’ll tell ya. She really is [great].”

Samantha Markle ‘accomplished her goal’

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Markle feels she has “accomplished the goal” she set out to achieve in visiting the UK.
The 53-year-old former actress came to London earlier this month in a bit to mend the rift between herself and her half-sister, the Duchess of Sussex, and though she didn’t get to see Meghan, she was able to hand over a letter at Kensington Palace and is looking forward to receiving a response.
She said: “I can’t tell you what I wrote in the letter but I think I accomplished my goal and we’ll just have to wait and see how it was received. I wanted to express some sentiments and set some records straight.
“I can’t give the details of that but I really wanted the world and really my sister and the British Royal Family to know what happened and know the truth about a lot of things.”
Though Samantha declined to talk about the contents of the letter, she admitted a lot centred around their father, Thomas Markle – who missed Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry due to heart problems – and insisted it is now down to the former ‘Suits’ star to put the animosity behind them all and “do the right thing”.
She told Daily Mail TV: “With all due respect, I think the next move is not mine, the ball is in my sister’s court and it’s kind of cheesy to minimise it to a tennis game when really, this is life, we’re real people, human beings, real family, real love.
“It’s not a game but she needs to do the right thing now and she knows how much my dad loves her and has given her. It’s a real family and life is very short so I just hope, for her sake as well, that Meg doesn’t let this go.
“I was concerned about my father passing away without resolve here because that would be awful for everybody and I really doubt she could live with that. She needs to do the right thing.”
Samantha was pictured at the weekend seemingly being turned away by Kensington Palace security but she insists that wasn’t the case and she had a “wonderful experience” at the royal building.
She said: “I wasn’t trying to crash anything, I’m very polite and respectful. I was not turned away from Kensington Palace. I’m pretty mature, I’m pretty composed, I’m not the kind of person that’s turned away.
“I was very respectful and I went there to deliver a letter. Nobody was turned away, nobody was disrespectful and it was a wonderful experience. It was a nice experience and nobody was mean to me at all, I was quite surprised.”

David Tennant’s fatherhood evaluation

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant says his latest role has affected the way he feels about fatherhood.
The 47-year-old star appears alongside his fellow former ‘Doctor Who’ co-star Jessica Hynes in new BBC Four comedy-drama ‘There She Goes’ – which tells the story of raising a girl with severe learning disabilities – and he has called for there to be more dramas about parenting.
David – who has three kids, Olive, seven, Wilfred, five, and three-year-old Doris, with wife Georgia Moffett, as well as her son Ty, 16, who he adopted – said: “I’d defy anyone with children not to see moments of what it’s like to be a parent within the series.
“It makes you wonder how you’d react in that particular set of circumstances … but it also makes you wonder about the ways you might have reacted in your own life as a parent, about the times you got it wrong and the times you got it right.
“It’s only since I’ve become a parent that I’ve thought, ‘Why are there not more dramas about just being a parent?’ ”
David and Jessica play Simon and Emily, the mum and dad of nine-year old daughter Rosie – who is portrayed by ‘The Royals’ star Miley Locke – and the ‘Broadchurch’ actor admits it is “hard to know” if the show will make him a better dad.
He said: “I think it’s hard to know … It’s one of the constant questions about acting, or when you spend a bit of time in someone else’s shoes.
“Does it rub off on you, does it make you a different human being?”
David was moved when he read the screenplay, penned by Shaun Pye, whose daughter was born with a rare chromosomal disease in 2016, and he respects the screenwriter’s honesty.
He added to Radio Times magazine: “It’s such raw, human stuff, I felt a huge responsibility, especially with Shaun in the room when we did the-read through.”
Shaun added: “The central message is that although getting this news about your daughter is on that list of things that you never want to hear in your entire life, for this particular family, it’s going to be all right.”

Lili Reinhart’s social media balanace

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart wants to be “authentic” without giving too much away.
The 22-year-old actress admits she strives to find a balance over what to post on social media, but above all, she likes to show the “goofy and happy” side to her personality.
She said: “It’s very much a constant balance of what do I share? What do I not share?
“I want to be authentic, but I also don’t want to give everyone parts of myself that they don’t need to know about.
“I’m mostly just trying to show the goofy and happy side of myself. Even if I’m feeling sad, I try to keep everything positive.”
Lili finished high school online so she could audition for her role in ‘Riverdale’ and was determined to give her career every opportunity she could because she didn’t have a “Plan B”.
She told Teen Vogue magazine: “I didn’t want to do anything else. It’s not just a hobby. It’s what I want to do forever as a career. There was no Plan B. That was it. I needed to do that because my anxiety wouldn’t let me do anything else.”
And though she loves her job, Lili wishes she wasn’t so famous because she hasn’t been able to travel without getting recognised.
She said: “I wish I had been able to see Europe before being recognizable because our show is so popular there. I was not able to enjoy Paris because of [the photographers], and I really wish I had just gone and done my own thing, explored museums, but I couldn’t. It was too overwhelming.”

John Goodman misses Roseanne Barr

OHMYGOSSIP — John Goodman has admitted Roseanne Barr is “missed” on ‘The Conners’.
The 65-year-old actress’ sitcom ‘Roseanne’ was axed earlier this year following a racist comment she made on Twitter, with network ABC then unveiling the spin-off series, which features the same cast and characters, minus the family matriarch, and her 65-year-old co-star has admitted it has been “weird” working without his old friend.
He told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: “She is missed, definitely. After that many years, it’s like a family. And last year, it was so miraculous and so unreal that when it went away it was almost like a dream.
“It was very weird doing the first show without her because she’s my buddy. I mean, we’d just sit there and she’d make me laugh and I’d make her laugh, which is fun because there’s always a danger of her peeing herself.”
Though John tried to be a “big boy” and “handle” ‘Roseanne’s cancellation, he admitted he “crashed for a couple of weeks”.
He added: “All kinds of weird things happened. My wife got sick right after that [and] then I fell down the stairs.”
And the actor – who has 28-year-old daughter Molly with wife Anna Beth Goodman -praised Roseanne for giving up her financial stake in the show so it could continue.
He said: “She gave up a lot so people could work. She gave up a lot for us to be able to do this show, and I can’t thank her enough.”
Last month, Roseanne thanked John for defending her following the tweet scandal.
The actress took to Twitter after her former co-star insisted she isn’t a racist.
Roseanne wrote: “I thank John Goodman for speaking truth about me, despite facing certain peril from producers and network.”
Prior to that, John said: “I know, I know for a fact that she’s not a racist. She was going through hell at the time. And she’s still going through hell.”

Paul Knops: Me and Laura Anderson ‘weren’t compatible’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Knops broke up with Laura Anderson because they “weren’t compatible”.
The 31-year-old star has admitted he and the 29-year-old beauty – who he met on ‘Love Island’ this summer – split because he was not “100 per cent sure” about their relationship.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Paul said: “It was my decision to split from Laura – I said to her, ‘Let’s make it a mutual decision,’ so we could both move on and she didn’t get hurt.
“We weren’t compatible for each other. I knew I had to be 100 per cent sure about it because you know – the next person you’re with could potentially be you’re wife; you don’t want to be unsure about it.
“We weren’t right for each other and that’s why we never made things official.”
Paul revealed that while they are no longer talking and Laura was upset, he would always “be there for her”.
He added: “Of course she was upset; there were tears. Obviously it isn’t nice when someone says they don’t want to be with you.
“We aren’t friends now – we haven’t spoken, it is a sore subject. But I told her I would be there for her if she needed me.”
The reality star confessed he was “blamed” by some fans for “using” Laura to reach the final, but he found it “unfair” because he was genuine during his time in the villa.
The pair finished second on the reality series, which was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.

William and Catherine attend Mental Health Summit

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William joked Duchess Catherine had “ruined” a painting when they met with an artist on Tuesday (09.10.18).
The couple – who made their first joint public appearance since welcoming son Prince Louis into the world in April – were introduced to Dairo Vargas, who was painting ‘Someone to Turn To’, a piece inspired by the inaugural Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit and he asked the royals to contribute to the work.
William ushered his wife first and said: “My wife, she’s the arty one!”
Catherine – an art history graduate – took the brush and asked: “Where can you hide it?”
After the artist pointed to one of the figure’s shoulders, the duchess added a small stroke and asked: “Fine?”
William, 36, then quipped: “It’s almost ruined the picture.”
The prince was asked to add to the painting and said: “No, this is probably how you ruin a picture.”
But encouraged by his wife, William added some paint near the bottom.
Catherine – who also has children Prince George, five, and three-year-old Princess Charlotte – then praised the artist for his work.
She said: “This is a great, great compliment. It’s great to have some creative reason in which the same [mental health] conversations are going on.”
The Colombian-born artist, who lives in London, later praised the “great” couple and was delighted they had got involved in his artwork, which represents the idea that mental health issues can stem from loneliness, but those who experience problems always have someone to turn to.
He said: “I had always rather hoped they might have a go but didn’t know until the day that they would. I think I am going to leave their contributions untouched.”
At the summit, which was held at London’s County Hall, the royal couple also attended a session on children, young adults and the next generation.
William asked one attendee: “Have you noticed a shift in attitude in the last few years and months? Have you notice a general change, can you see this the shift? Are we slowly waking up to mental health?”
And his wife asked another: “What’s the best was to access [help]? Is it online, apps?”
The royals also visited a stand run by United for Global Mental Health, where they were told about Dixon Chibanda, who started an initiative in Zimbabwe which has taught elderly women the skills to become lay health workers through the use of a “friendship bench”.
William and Catherine then got the giggles as they posed for photographers on a friendship bench.
