Camila Cabello inspired by Kobe Bryant

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello’s American Music Awards performance was inspired by Kobe Bryant.
The 21-year-old singer took to the stage at the ceremony at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Tuesday (09.10.18) for a rendition of ‘Consequences’ and admitted she likes to relax and get in the mood for awards shows by watching inspirational videos, such as a documentary about the basketball legend.
She said: “I was watching Kobe Bryant’s documentary. And he just talks about how he keeps the hard times or any struggle or anything like that at the top of his head when he’s gonna do something really important, and I was just thinking about all the hard times and the road to getting to this moment, and I just thought of the struggles.
“I was just thinking about that during the performance. Any doubts that I’ve had, either from me or from other people…I tried to just kind of have that push me through this.”
Camila had a hugely successful evening at the AMAs, taking home New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Video of the Year and Favorite Song – Pop/Rock for ‘Havana’.
The brunette beauty was happy that, for once, she was able to forget about her nerves and take the time to enjoy her success and appreciate the efforts she had put into doing so well.
She told Billboard: “I think these moments are when you’re like, ‘You know what? Enjoy this moment. Own this moment. You’ve worked for it, you’re here.’
“And sometimes it’s hard to do that because you get nervous, but today I was like, ‘You know what? Just enjoy this moment, because you’ve fought so hard to get to this moment.’ ”

Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil first winner of Fender Play Award at Q Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil has been announced as the first ever recipient of the Fender Play Award at this year’s Q Awards 2018 in association with Absolute Radio.
The new prize has been created to celebrate an artist at the forefront of guitar music today who have used their ability with the instrument to make innovative music and inspire the next generation.
Scottish rocker Simon has been chosen to get the award – which is named after Fender’s digital tool Fender Play, a learning app guitar, bass and ukulele – for his guitar skills and incredible achievements with hard rock band Biffy Clyro who have released seven studio albums during their two decade spanning career and become one of the must-watch live bands in the world.
Speaking about Simon and Biffy Clyro’s impact on guitar music, Ted Kessler – Editor of Q Magazine – said: “Biffy Clyro are one of rock’s most compelling groups and Q has been there every step of the way as they’ve turned into one of the UK’s biggest bands. At their core is Simon Neil, a frontman who possesses the perfect blend of raw emotion and rock’n’roll charisma, the sort of figurehead who inspires the next generation to pick up a guitar. We’re very excited that Simon is the first recipient of our inaugural Fender Play award, a prize that will be reserved for only the most trailblazing talents in modern guitar music.”
And Andy Mooney – Fender CEO – added: “Simon Neil represents the very definition of a contemporary guitar hero – someone who’s equally at ease playing his road worn Strat on a major arena stage as he is playing an intimate acoustic set to Biffy Clyro’s devoted fan base. Simon’s guitar is part of him and fundamental to how he composes in-studio and performs live. The Fender Play Q Award has been created to honour musicians like Simon who continue to push the creative limits of guitar driven music and inspire all of us to pick one up and begin our own musical journey. We are proud to celebrate his achievements at the Q Awards, where guitar legends have been celebrated in all of their glory for nearly three decades.”

Taylor Swift breaks AMA record

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has broken the record for the most American Music Award wins by a female artist.
The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ hitmaker scooped Tour of the Year, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock and the prestigious Artist of the Year award at Tuesday (09.10.18) evening’s ceremony, bringing her total number of trophies from the event over the years to 23.
This means she has surpassed the late Whitney Houston’s records and is just one win away from equalling the late Michael Jackson’s overall record of 24 AMAs.
While accepting her award for Artist of the Year, Taylor – who opened the show at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater with a performance of ‘I Did Something Bad’ – urged her fans to get out and vote, days after breaking her political silence for the first time on Instagram.
She said: “Thank you for this incredible symbol of encouragement. And I just wanted to make a mention of the fact that this award and every single award given out tonight were voted on by the people, and you know what else is voted on by the people – is the midterm elections on November 6. Get out and vote. I love you guys!”
And the 28-year-old star also teased she’s heading for a “new chapter” in her life as she picked up the Favorite Album – Pop/Rock accolade for ‘Reputation’.
She said: “Thank you a million times for this. This is actually the first time I ever wrote an album based on a title first… So the whole time I was writing an album based on all the facets of a reputation and how it affects you, what it actually means to you, I was surrounded by friends and family and loved ones, who never loved me less based on the fluctuations of public opinion.
“I always look at albums as chapters in my life. And to the fans, I’m so happy that you like this one…. But I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter.”
Elsewhere at the ceremony – which was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross – Camila Cabello also picked up four prizes, New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year for ‘Havana’, which featured Young Thug, and Video of the Year and Favourite Song — Pop/Rock for the same track.
Post Malone was named Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock and also took home Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop for ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’, while Migos were honoured with Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock.
Cardi B scooped Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop and Favorite Song – Rap/Hip-Hop for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and her collaboration with Bruno Mars, ‘Finesse’, was named Favorite Song – Soul/R&B.
Khalid and Rihanna were named Favorite Male and Female Artist in the Soul/R&B division, while Panic! At the Disco – who performed a cover of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at the ceremony – were Favorite Artist – Alternative and Shawn Mendes was honoured with Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary.
As well as Taylor and Panic! At the Disco, performers at the AMAs this year included Cardi B and Carrie Underwood, and the evening ended with a tribute to the late Aretha Franklin that included a performance of ‘Amazing Grace’ from Gladys Knight, Ledisi, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, and musical director Rickey Minor.

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams ‘got high and sat in a bath’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams used to get high and then sit in a bath together.
The 22-year-old actress and Maisie, 21, are best-known for their starring roles in the hit TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, and Sophie has revealed how they both used to relax after shooting an episode of the show.
Sophie – who plays Sansa Stark on the HBO fantasy series – shared: “We’re kind of like loners on ‘Game of Thrones’, just because the past few seasons Maisie and I have sleepovers every night when we’re shooting. Or every night whenever both of us are in town. We just used to sit there and eat and watch stupid videos and smoke weed.
“I don’t know if my publicist will kill me for saying this. We’d get high and then we’d sit in the bath together and we’d rub make-up brushes on our faces. It’s fun.”
Although Sophie and Maisie’s friendship has grown stronger over the years, they’ve always got on well.
Sophie – who is engaged to Joe Jonas – told Vulture: “We did a chemistry read together.
“It was the final three for Sansa, and I was like, ‘F**k, I really need to up my game.’
“I went in, and was I like, ‘What’s up?!’ I gave her a big hug. I was like high-five after every take. I was super extra, but it worked. I read with other Aryas before, but Maisie was special. We just got on like that.”
Meanwhile, Sophie recently admitted she’s struggling to accept that ‘Game of Thrones’ is ending.
The actress has played the role of Sansa since the HBO fantasy epic’s launch in 2011, and she’s still trying to come to terms with the fact that next year’s eighth season is the show’s last.
She said: “I still don’t accept that it’s done. It’s basically been the majority of my life. I’m still very much processing it.”

Rupert Grint says his relationship with money is ’embarrassing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Grint admits to having an “embarrassing” relationship with money.
The 30-year-old actor – who starred as Ron Weasley in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series – has become known for spending his fortune on some unusual items over the years, including an ice cream van and a hovercraft, and Rupert has conceded it’s taken him longer than it should have to develop a more mature attitude towards money.
The British actor – who appeared in the money-spinning franchise alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson – explained: “I think it was Dan [Radcliffe] who once said that I’m slowly constructing some sort of Neverland.
“It took me a while to accept a relationship with money. It’s kinda embarrassing. I do buy weird stuff but I stopped that now. I’ve grown out of that a bit.”
Rupert starred in all of the ‘Harry Potter’ movies from 2001 until 2011.
And even though he’s not played Ron for years, fans continue to be fascinated by the films.
He told the Independent: “I really did think it would die down after the first film finished and thought it was done.
“If anything, it’s gone [the other way] as people hold those films very highly. I’m hearing stories about people who grew up with ‘Harry Potter’ a lot. I think it comes hand-in-hand with the people who literally shove cameras in your face.
“In a weird way, they feel ownership of you a little bit. We’re quite familiar people in their lives.”
Rupert has appeared in a number of TV and film roles since 2011, but he’s admitted to being unambitious.
He confessed: “I’m not the most ambitious person.
“I’m quite laid back in that respect. I very much value my own time as well. I’m pretty content with how things are going.”

Lady Gaga and Shangela shared make-up tips during movie shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga and Shangela exchanged make-up tips on the set of ‘A Star Is Born’.
The chart-topping singer and the American drag queen both star in the Bradley Cooper-directed movie, and Shangela has revealed she relished the experience of working with Gaga.
The TV star said: “She just makes you feel so at home and ready to do your best work. And then, when you see her and she’s such a professional but also so kind, it makes you even want to do better.”
The duo spent time together in between takes, and Shangela has revealed that Gaga was happy to give her some make-up tips.
She told E! News: “One thing that Gaga taught me was less about make-up and more about how to be just natural through the make-up – really allow your talent to shine through, no matter what you’re doing.
“So, that’s one thing I picked up from her.”
And Shangela, 36, was happy to return the favour for Gaga.
She said: “Now, from me to her, I’m like, ‘Oh sister! Let’s get a little extra highlight over here on the side,’ – because you know I like to pop that cheek out.”
As well as developing a friendship with Gaga, Shangela was also impressed with her acting skills.
Gaga plays Ally, an unknown singer, in the musical romantic drama.
Reflecting on Gaga’s performance, Shangela said: “She’s quite the professional, but I think the true Gaga – the magic of Gaga – is she knows how to dive into any element and really just be comfortable in her own skin.
“I think that’s how she was as the character Ally because, you know, Ally is someone who is aspiring towards her dream but she doesn’t always have the biggest self-confidence and when Gaga went into that role, in working with her, it felt like she really just took that on.”

Tracee Ellis Ross reveals plans for on-stage costume change

OHMYGOSSIP — Tracee Ellis Ross is planning an on-stage costume change at the American Music Awards.
The 45-year-old actress is set to host the star-studded awards bash in Los Angeles on Tuesday (09.10.18), and Tracee has told fans she’ll be sporting plenty of different outfits throughout the show.
Speaking about her costumes, she admitted: “I think it might be a baker’s dozen.
“Last year it was 11. If we include what happens during the opening dance number … there’s a costume change on stage, honey!”
Tracee is also excited about seeing some of the biggest names in the music industry at the event.
The actress – who is the daughter of Motown legend Diana Ross and music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein – told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Taylor [Swift] … I mean come on!
“And then I call them the three C’s … Cardi [B], Mariah Carey and Carrie Underwood … That’s why I came back guys, just so I could have a front row seat to the best concert.”
Meanwhile, Tracee recently admitted she finds being single and childless “fascinating”.
The actress isn’t upset about not having a partner, but she’s found she’s been able to figure out what she wants from life by the constant questioning she faces about her personal circumstances.
She said: “It’s sort of fascinating to be 45 and single and childless.
“Happily single, I should add. Not at home crying about it.
“These are very big and very personal questions that aren’t anyone’s business but that somehow, like the right to choose, become fodder for public conversation.
“Some of the ability to reflect on what I really want comes from pushing up against a society that shames me for not having the expected trappings. I’m very pleased with my existence these days.
“Have I had to learn to make friends with loneliness? Yes. I think if I were in a relationship, it would be the same.”

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse love going on ‘adventures’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse love to go on adventures together.
The 22-year-old actress – who stars alongside Cole, 26, in the popular TV series ‘Riverdale’ – is typically reluctant to talk about her romantic life, but she has admitted that the loved-up duo relish exploring new places and new things together.
She shared: “I like to go on adventures with Cole. Truly, adventures. He takes me to places where I’m like, ‘How did you find this?'”
Lili explained that Cole’s adventurous nature has meant she’s been introduced to so many new things.
The actress told Teen Vogue magazine: “He’s made me see these things that I would have never seen otherwise. It’s escapism, which is so beautiful and wonderful.”
By contrast, Lili previously admitted she thought Cole was “annoying” when they first met.
She said: “I thought his voice was annoying. I was like, ‘That guy’s got an annoying voice.’ And now it’s grown on me, I guess.”
On the other hand, Cole felt Lili was a “tough egg to crack”.
The actor explained: “Lili was a tough egg to crack. She’s very shy at first and reserved. I think it was about halfway into the first season she started letting people in truly.”
Now, though, Cole finds Lili to be an inspiring presence in his life, revealing she is constantly encouraging him to make the most of his talent.
He said: “She’s one of those people that consistently pushes me to be better at the arts that I’m pursuing. That’s just the kind of person she is. She inspires excellence out of everybody she works with.”
And Lili now considers Cole to be “one of the smartest” people she knows.
She added: “Cole is one of the smartest, the smartest person that I’m friends with. He’s incredibly passionate about art, about photography, about acting, and I really admire that.”

Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders is working on solo album

OHMYGOSSIP — Arctic Monkeys star Matt Helders is working on a solo album.
The 32-year-old drummer and photographer has admitted he is nervous about the idea of making music on his own, and explained he wanted to “do a certain amount” before he feels justified in making it an official release.
During an appearance on podcast ‘The Trap Set’, he was asked if he had confidence” around finishing the solo record and said: “More and more I do, yeah.
“I feel like I’ve got to do a certain amount before it’s deserved in way. I don’t want to do it too soon and then regret it, like ‘Oh, I shouldn’t have made that kind of record’.
“You know what I mean? I want to make a lot of music and then like, ‘Oh, that’s the thing I like about this.’ ”
However, Matt revealed he is feeling more comfortable about his own “style”, and that it has fallen into place.
While he’s excited for the release, he also opened up about feeling like he’s “earned” the right to become a solo artist.
He explained: “I don’t want to get caught out for cheating my way somewhere. I will do it. It’s like figuring out why as well. Like ‘Why do I even want to do that? Why do I want to make a record? What’s it for?
“I just like the process of creating it. Maybe it’s more because I’m not writing the lyrics, so it’s fine that I do that.
“When you’re writing a record and you’re putting yourself out there, a lot of people need a reason to want to hear a ‘message’ or ‘hear my opinion on this’. That’s why I’m not that interested in the lyrics side of it yet. I want to make a lot of music and that sounds cool.”
While Matt has released six studio albums with Arctic Monkeys – most recently ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ in May this year – he also teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Dean Fertita on Iggy Pop’s 2016 LP ‘Post Pop Depression’.

Kym Marsh’s daughter cries at Corrie star’s new look

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh’s daughter burst into tears upon seeing her new hairdo.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress has been waiting to change her tresses until she had a break in filming on the ITV soap, but her seven-year-old Polly – who she shares with ‘Hollyoaks’ star Jamie Lomas – was less than impressed with the results of her long-awaited cut.
She said: “I’ve got a new hairdo and I’m really happy with it. I’ve gone quite a bit darker and I’ve had a fringe cut in. I had to wait until I was out of continuity with filming at ‘Corrie’, so I thought I might as well have a big change while I could.
“I love my new look but when I got home from the hairdressers last week Polly took one look at me and cried. She said, ‘I hate it, it’s horrible hair – it’s too dark.’
“I said, ‘Come on, now. Stop it.’ It make me laugh – she’ll get used to it.”
Kym – who also has kids Ryan, 23, and Emily 21, with ex Dave Cunliffe – will be involved in a big car chase stunt on this week’s ‘Corrie’, and she admits it was “quite scary” to film, but she, like her character Michelle Connor, would do “anything” to protect her kids.
Writing in OK! magazine: “I was driving the car and had to replicate what the stunt driver had been doing while saying my lines, which was quite scary, but I think that added to the stress of the scene.
“I must admit it took a few takes. You’ll have to stay tuned to see what happens and who dies, but I can totally relate to my character’s instinct to protect her kids, as I’d do anything for mine.”

Bhavna Limbachia: Kana storyline has changed my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Bhavna Limbachia says her ‘Coronation Street’ lesbian love affair storyline has “changed [her] life”.
The 34-year-old actress and Faye Brookes play lovers Rana Nazir and Kate Connor – who have been dubbed Kana by soap super-fans – and she feels “honoured” to have been handed the plot, because it feels “so relevant”.
She said: “This storyline has changed my life to be honest. I feel honoured to be able to shed light on something still so relevant in 2018.”
Kana fandom has grown on social media since the storyline kicked off, and Bhavna, who is playing the ITV soap’s first ever gay Muslim character, is “grateful” the plot has been able to raise such “important issues”.
She added to website I Love Manchester: “Faye and I didn’t realise how big the storyline would be, and how big the fandom would grow.
“We are just grateful that we’re able to use this platform to raise important issues for the LGBTQ+ community, especially in the Asian community.”
Bhavna recently admitted she is keen to educate people with the storyline, and knew the plot would come with plenty of challenges but is determined to get it right for anyone suffering the same problems in coming out due to their ethnicity or religion as Rana has.
She said: “I felt such a huge responsibility to get the story right so I went away and did a lot of research, even though it was a big weight on my shoulders I just wanted to make sure I did the storyline justice.
“The storyline is there not to offend people, it’s to educate them, it’s to spark conversation so it’s there to make people aware that there is support available.”

Jack Fincham ‘working’ on his performance in the bedroom

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Fincham is “working on his performance” in the bedroom after admitting he lasts “10 minutes or so” with girlfriend Dani Dyer.
The 26-year-old reality star says sex between him and his significant other – who became the first ‘Love Island’ winners to not get jiggy with it on screen – is getting better “every week”.
The former pen salesman told The Sun newspaper: “I’m working on it. It’s more and more every week. I’ve told her I’m a natural.”
Jack insists he wasn’t left feeling “awkward” following his steamy confession, which came in front of his beau’s hardman father, Danny Dyer.
He said: “No, not at all. I don’t really get awkward. I’ve never had an awkward silence in my life.
“It’s no different to any other family. We get on really well and we have a laugh.”
Jack made the bedroom omission last month during a game of Master and Miss on ‘Celebrity Juice’.
Host Keith Lemon asked Dani’s father Danny to pose a series of embarrassing questions to the pair.
The ‘EastEnders’ star asked his daughter how long it takes Jack to perform in the bedroom “to the nearest minute, on average?”
She replied: “Oh god, I don’t know,” and Jack said: “I can’t even make a joke, I can’t even make a joke. If I make a joke, he’s there.”
Danny then said: “You’re only cuddling ain’t ya?”
Dani nodded in agreement and then gave an answer of “15 minutes”, but an honest Jack said it was more like “10 minutes or so”.

Neil Jones had Seann Walsh ‘bromance’

OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Jones had a “bromance” with Seann Walsh.
The professional dancer isn’t part of the competing couples on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but he enjoys helping wife Katya Jones – who was pictured kissing the comedian in London last week – out with working on her routines and has always got along well with her famous dance partners.
Asked about the ‘Strictly’ curse, before pictures emerged of Seann and Kayta smooching, he quipped: “Well Ed Balls did have beautiful eyes.
“But I have more of a bromance with her partners. I’m normally the one saying, ‘Katya, don’t be so harsh on them’. ”
Neil is flattered there have been campaigns for him to step out of the group dances and get his own time in the spotlight, but the 35-year-old dancer is happy on the sidelines until show bosses find him the right partner.
He added to heat magazine: “When it comes to that moment when they say, ‘You know what Neil? We’ve got a partner for you, we really want you to dance’, I’m ready for that.
“Last year, there was a petition to get me a partner – I’m thankful to everyone showing support. But really, I think when there’s someone there for me, they’ll give me a partner.
“[Until then] I get to be around giving them advice. I’m like the dance whisperer. Or the ginger whisperer.”
Katya has already apologised for kissing Seann, insisting it was a “one-off mistake”.
She wrote on Twitter: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship. (sic)”
Despite this, Seann’s girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries, has revealed that when she confronted him about the possibility of “something inappropriate” happening, Seann dismissed the suggestion.
She said: “Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We had spoken and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour. (sic)”

Nadine Leopold says P.volve app has ‘changed her body’

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria’s Secret model Nadine Leopold says Stephen Pasterino and his P.volve exercise app have totally “changed her body”.
The 24-year-old Austrian beauty – who has been confirmed to walk in the prestigious Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City later this year – has been working out with the celebrity personal trainer for two years and using his app to get the best results from her gym workouts and she admits the female focused routines have totally altered her approach to fitness.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar UK, Nadine said: “I’ve been working out with Stephen for two years now and I’m currently preparing for the VS show so I’m doing this twice a day. For me it changed my body completely because it doesn’t bulk you – it gives you amazing lines and it’s a very ‘female workout’, so I really like it.”
Stephen – who is based in New York – created P.volve to provide women with workouts designed to sculpt hard-to-target areas, and P.volve has also been used by fellow Victoria’s Secret models Devon Windsor and Romee Strijd and Dolce & Gabbana catwalk star Blanca Padilla.
Nadine will be sharing her workout tips and gym routines on her Instagram account under the hashtag #trainlikeanangel in the build-up to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Speaking to her 465,000 followers on Instagram, Nadia posted a picture of her posing alongside Stephen with the caption: “@pvolve changed my body and is one of my favourite workouts ever. Especially last year for the Vs show and now that round two is coming up its time to push myself even more. #trainlikeanangel #vsfs2018 @victoriasport (sic)”
P.volve’s online tutorials have over 75 workouts which can be refined by a specific body type, duration and available equipment because Stephen has created specific training accessories that work alongside his app to get the best results.
Nadia wrote on her social media: “Little mix of my favorite workouts this month there’s nothing like feeling your body getting stronger. Working out helps me to focus and deal with stressful situations. But also releases endorphins and keeps me happy @victoriasport @pvolve @meganroup @fitlifebymo @tracyandersonmethod @george__veness (sic)”
