Dave Baustiata wants Suicide Squad 2 reunion with James Gunn

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Bautista is keen to star in ‘Suicide Squad 2’ if James Gunn is at the helm.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star has been outspoken in defence of the franchise’s director – who was sacked by Disney ahead of the third movie over controversial past tweets – and he has revealed he would follow him into the DC Extended Universe.
Responding to reports that Gunn is in talks to write and potentially even direct at sequel to the 2016 blockbuster – which starred the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto – he simply tweeted: “Where do I sign up! (sic)”
The filmmaker is said to be in line to jump ship from Marvel to DC and take on a big role behind the camera.
Meanwhile, Bautista has repeatedly insisted he wouldn’t want to return to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film series if James’ script wasn’t used for the upcoming sequel.
The wrestler-turned-actor – who plays Drax the Destroyer in the movie franchise – insisted he won’t do another film for the studio unless they agree to use the director’s work.
He said: “James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met. He’s already turned the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract – cut me out or recast me because I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.”
However, the 52-year-old filmmaker’s brother Sean has since revealed the company will stay true to his sibling’s vision.
He previously said: “I don’t really know yet what’s going on with ‘Guardians 3’. I know that Disney still wants to make the movie. I know that they have every intention of using the script that my brother wrote.”

Chance The Rapper’s contributions cut from Ye

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance The Rapper’s contributions were cut from Kanye West’s new album.
The 25-year-old rapper had worked with the 41-year-old star on his eighth studio LP ‘Ye’, but he admitted he was disappointed to find out the material they worked on together didn’t make it onto the final record after the ‘Bound 2’ star scrapped the material and went in a different direction.
Opening up on the ‘Joe Budden Podcast’, he said: “Ye invited me out and I brought my family and we worked on some on tracks. None of the verses that I wrote or anything that had influence on was on the album.
“I think like you have to understand my perspective of the music is how it affects me and how it affected me or the artist affected me before.
“So I have a weird understanding of ‘Ye’ because I stayed there for two weeks and then when I left, nothing that I had put forth for the album — I didn’t have any verses for me rapping myself, but stuff that I helped working with ‘Ye on, verses and stuff weren’t on there. It was different verses that he spit.”
Meanwhile, Chance revealed that he and Kanye – whose latest record dropped in June with a follow-up ‘Yandhi’ coming next month – are yet to start work on their collaborative album ‘Good A** Job’.
She explained: “The project is something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. I don’t think it’s Kanye’s thing, he’s about to drop ‘Yandhi’.
“There’s no doing it, the project hasn’t started yet. I’m a huge Kanye West fan. In my mind, basically since ‘The Life of Pablo’, I’ve been begging him to come back to Chicago to work on a project with me.”

Jodie Whittaker says Doc Brown is her ‘favourite Doctor’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker says Doc Brown from ‘Back To The Future’ is her “favourite Doctor”.
The 36-year-old actress has become the first woman to play the Time Lord in ‘Doctor Who’, and she admitted the character of Emmett Brown – played by Christopher Lloyd in the science fiction blockbusters – was a driving force behind her performance.
Speaking to Vulture, she explained: “There’s chaos and there’s clarity. A childlike wonder and energy in a grown-up. Being a huge fan of the film, I adore that character.
“When I went in chatting with the [‘premiere’s director, I was like, I really love the way Doc Brown bounces around the set. He’s never still, I want that freedom! I know it’s TV and I know it’s really quick, but I begged to not let him restrict me to static shots.
“I needed to move. This character has to be physically expressed from me. It’s movement, not just cerebral. If it’s articulated through my fingers or toes, I can do it. My memory of Doc Brown and what it evoked from my memory as a child was a great starting point for me. He’s still my favorite Doctor! Oh God, Whovians will kill me for that answer.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘Broadchurch’ star also opened up about who she’d like to work with from the show’s past, including Billie Piper’s alter ego Rose.
She added: “I’d love to work with Billie Piper. Rose was a brilliant character. I love what she brought to that role — it was engaging and strong and vulnerable and dynamic. I’d like to meet Rose. And River Song!
“There’s load of brilliant creatures and monsters, too. Can you imagine me meeting my first Dalek?”

Dolph Lundgren tired from group sex

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolph Lundgren used to have group sex with Grace Jones and “four or five” other women – but complained it left him too tired for work.
The ‘Rocky IV’ actor dated the ‘Pull Up to the Bumper’ hitmaker in the 1980s and though he admitted their life in the bedroom was eventful, he insisted it wasn’t always a “good thing”.
He told The Sun newspaper: “That happened on occasions, with or without Grace.
“Sometimes she would bring a girlfriend home and then I’d have to get up for work the next day and that kind of thing.
“I’d say at the most it was four or five girls, perhaps.
“It’s great in theory but when you have to get up and fight Sylvester Stallone in the morning it’s not such a good thing.”
Dolph, 60, met Grace, 70, when he was hired as her bodyguard but once he found fame after playing notorious villain Ivan Drago in ‘Rocky IV’, their relationship quickly deteriorated.
He said: “I literally walked in the theatre [for the movie premiere] as her boyfriend with people trying to shoo me out of the way to take pictures of her and, 90 minutes later, when I walked out, people were trying to take pictures of me, instead.
“It was one of those things that happens once in a while in Hollywood, somebody totally unknown becomes famous overnight.
“Other women showed up, she got jealous and she couldn’t handle it. People wanted me to go to openings.
“It was a lot of strain and, within six months, the relationship was over.”
During their relationship, Dolph admits drugs were rife in New York but he never joined the ‘Slave To the Rhythm’ hitmaker’s “circle” in indulging in “heavy” substances.
He said: “Back then everybody in her circle was doing heavy drugs — cocaine, crack and smoking weed.
“I didn’t know anything about drugs, I was just training at the time.
“This was before drugs were a menace to society, it was just rich people who were having fun at Studio 54.
“They weren’t breaking into cars stealing s**t and killing people so nobody cared.
“You could do drugs openly in a restaurant in New York in the Eighties and nobody would say anything, not even the waiters.
“It was fine at the time.”

Kylie Jenner gets lip fillers back

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner has had lip fillers again.
The 21-year-old reality star showed off a plumper pout on her Instagram Stories, just a few months after revealing she had decided to revert to a natural look and stopped having her mouth enhanced.
She shared a photo of herself in a white robe with visibly fuller lips and wrote: “Thanks [Pawnta Cosmetic Dermatology of Beverly Hills] for coming through late last night with a lip touch up!(sic)”
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who has eight-month-old daughter Stormi with boyfriend Travis Scott – revealed in July she had had the filler removed after a fan commented she looked more like “the old Kylie” on an Instagram post.
Kylie replied: “I got rid of all my filler (sic)”
The Lip Kit mogul first admitted in May 2015 she had been using fillers and explained last year she took the plunge after a guy thought she’d be a bad kisser because of the naturally thin shape of her lips.
She said: “I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips. I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.’ But I took that really hard.
“Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me. I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips.”
The ‘Life of Kylie’ star originally used make-up to enhance her pout but turned to filler when cosmetics were no longer “doing it” for her.
She said: “I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips. And then finally I was like this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done.”

Tiffany Haddish asks for ‘the guy fee’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tiffany Haddish insists on “the guy fee” for her movies.
The ‘Girls Trip’ star always “does the research” when considering a job and thinks a lot of the time women are too afraid to ask for a higher fee as they’re unsure about how much they could be making.
She said:”You know what they say? A close mouth don’t get fed, and a lot of times we don’t open our mouths because we don’t even really know what we’re supposed to get.
“So, that’s why I do the research. I ask around. I’ve made friends with line producers that cut those cheques, production managers, so I can be like, ‘So, on average, how much does a girl get paid for? How much does a guy get paid?’ OK, I’m gonna ask for the guy fee on this one.”
The 38-year-old star believes there needs to be more discussion between actors and actresses about salaries and “perks” – and joked she put weight on after Kate Hudson showed her she could request certain food in her dressing room.
She told Variety: “I think the reason why, a lot of times, we don’t get paid the same as men do is because we don’t talk about it.
“I think we do need to talk about it because I sure get in there and I’m like, ‘Hey, Kate Hudson. How much do they pay you for that? What kind of perks do you get for that?’
“I didn’t know they could fill your room up with whatever kind of food you want.
“That’s why I done gained so much weight, because she told me about all the food you can get. I’m like, you can bring me some tacos and I want an In-N-Out burger.”
Tiffany’s work ethic and desire for fair and equal pay stems from being “homeless and hungry” in her youth.
She said: “When you get tired of washing your ass in the sink, you will be like, ‘You know what, I’m going to make sure this never happens again.’ I see my grandma work all the time, my aunties, all the people that’s ever been around me in my life, they work their asses off.
“I figured out the method to the madness is know your worth, don’t settle for less. If you’ve got to be hungry, oh well — somebody will come along that pays you what you [sic] worth.”

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have ‘nice dymanic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have a “nice dynamic”.
The superstar couple – who have been together since March 2017 – support each other as much as possible, and J-Lo admitted it means they can each blossom within the relationship.
Speaking to ‘Extra’, she said: “When you have a partner that is so supportive of what you do, you don’t have to hold back.
“With him, it’s like, how much more do you want to do? How much bigger do you want to get? How can I help you? Where do you need me to be?
“And I like to do the same for him. It’s just a nice dynamic that I have never experienced, and I am really happy about that.”
Jennifer recently revealed just how much she appreciates his approach towards her career, admitting her jam-packed schedule can be a “grind”.
She previously explained: “To have a partner who’s that supportive, who comes to that many shows – we all know what it’s like to be in show business. It’s a grind.
“It’s being away a lot and he really makes the effort, so do I, to be there for each other and it means a lot to me.”
Alex – who has Natasha, 13, and Ella, 10, with his former wife Cynthia Scurtis – recently admitted he thinks his relationship with the ‘World of Dance’ judge works so well because they’ve shared similar experiences throughout their lives.
He said: “We’re in our forties. We’re both from New York. We both come from Latino backgrounds. We both have two kids. I think we’ve both been through a lot and can really appreciate each other – both the good and the challenges.”
His commets comments echo similar ones made by Jennifer – who has 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former husband Marc Anthony – when she said timing was everything.
She said: “We were both at a good place in our lives. And I think, maybe if we had met in our twenties, it wouldn’t … you know, maybe not so much. We’re too crazy. But now, at this point in our lives, where we both have kids and we both accomplished certain things in our careers and we’re kind of in that second act of our lives, we really complement each other.”

Louisa Lytton’s EastEnders nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Lytton would be a “nervous wreck” if she was joining ‘EastEnders’ for the first time.
The 29-year-old star recently reprised her role as Ruby Allen after 12 years away from Albert Square, and admitted she would be full of worry if this was her first stint on the BBC One soap, but when she joined as a teenager she was more concerned about what she to wear on the weekends.
She said: “If going into ‘EastEnders’ now at the age of 29 was my first big job I’d be a nervous wreck, but back then I was so young and more worried about my GCSEs and what I was going to wear when I went out at the weekend!
“Being young actually made me more resilient, and I was never particularly hounded by the press – I just felt like I had a cool job.”
Ruby’s rape storyline kicked off last night (09.10.18) when she confided in pal Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) about a night out, only to seem surprised when the former market trader told her she had been raped by one of the guys she slept with.
And while Louisa was well aware Lacey was still on the soap, she had to watch recent episodes to find out who the characters were after she was invited back – because she stopped watching the show following her 2006 departure, because it felt like seeing an ex again.
She added to RadioTimes.com: When I left at such a young age, watching it again was a weird feeling. It was like breaking up with a boyfriend and having to see them again. It left a strange, heavy feeling in my stomach.
“Obviously when I got the call I started watching again to know who everybody was. I can’t lie I was very excited Danny Dyer was there! It was a nice feeling going back and seeing people like Lacey Turner, Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) and Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler) who I’d worked with in the past.”
The former ‘The Bill’ actress recently admitted she had played Kaiser Chiefs’ track ‘Ruby’ to get her in the mood for returning to the soap.
She said: “It’s been 12 years and it’s something I never really thought I would go back and do. It’s interesting to see what she’s become, who she’s become and what’s going to happen next with her. Just to see where her life goes.
“I played that Kaiser Chiefs track at home a few times and then I was back.”

Charlie Lawson pulls out of Rebus for second time

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Lawson pulled out of ‘Rebus’ for a second consecutive performance last night (09.10.18).
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor had to withdraw from his titular role as Inspector Rebus midway through the play’s opening night on Monday (08.10.18), and he missed out on last night’s showing at Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre, too.
According to The Scotsman newspaper, Charlie was replaced for a second night by understudy Neil McKinven, and he is said to have undergone medical tests following his stage departure on Monday.
It’s not yet known if the actor – who plays Jim McDonald in the ITV soap – will be well enough to tread the boards in two performances on Wednesday (10.10.18).
Charlie also hinted he is “overworked” and “underpaid” after retweeting a message from a fan who wished him well.
The tweet read: “I hope you’re OK Charlie, I heard you took a wee bit of a turn, overworked-underpaid,take time out and put your feet up and watch the NH season, Get well soon mate here’s some pics of your fav horse. Florida Pearl (sic)”
The ‘Corrie’ star had to withdraw from the opening night when he appeared to forget his lines and then said sorry to the audience and announced he was feeling faint.
Author Ian Rankin, who created the ‘Inspector Rebus’ book series, was in attendance at the sold out theatre to watch the opening performance, and admitted Charlie put on a “very good Scottish accent”.
He also confirmed he had fallen ill during his performance, and praised “heroic” understudy Neil.
Ian wrote on Twitter: “He took ill. Understudy stepped in and was heroic.
“Waiting to hear news. (sic)”
Charlie previously described his ‘Rebus’ role as “a real challenge”, and said it “scared the crap” out of him.

Dwayne Johnson set for Netflix blockbuster

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will star in Netflix movie ‘John Henry and the Statesmen’.
The 46-year-old actor will be reunited with ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ director Jake Kasdan for the film, with the streaming service landing the rights after a bidding war with many major studios.
It will mark Johnson’s first feature film on Netflix, and he said: “Netflix is the perfect partner and platform for us to continue entertaining our global audience in a disruptive way.
“These diverse characters speak to a legacy of storytelling that is more relevant than ever and span across a worldwide audience regardless of age, gender, race, or geography.”
The movie – an original pitch from writer Tom Wheeler – will see the former WWE superstar take on the title role and lead “an ensemble cast of the most popular figures from folklore and legend from all around the world”.
Opening up about the impact folk stories of steel driver Henry had on his life, Johnson added on Instagram: “The legend of JOHN HENRY’S strength, endurance, dignity and culture pride was instilled in my DNA at a very young age.”
Meanwhile, Netflix’s head of film Scott Stuber said: “Dwayne is a global superstar, inarguably one of the most popular actors in the world.
“He and Jake are a tremendous duo with a proven track record of entertaining audiences worldwide. We’re delighted to be able to partner with them and collaborate with Seven Bucks Productions and FPC.
“This is a story with universal appeal and we can’t wait to bring these characters to families around the globe.”

James Gunn gets David Ayer’s backing for Suicide Squad 2

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has the backing of David Ayer to take over for ‘Suicide Squad 2’.
The 50-year-old filmmaker has praised Warner Bros. for the “brave and smart” decision to potentially place the former ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director – who was fired from Disney earlier this year over controversial past tweets – at the helm of the DC sequel.
According to reports, the project could see Gunn write and potentially direct the movie, and there’s a chance he could put his own spin on it in terms of style, tone and even cast.
Asked for his thoughts about the possibility of the film’s universe being re-written, Ayer tweeted: “I think it’s an incredibly brave and smart move by the studio. James is the right man for the job!”
Ayer previously revealed he wanted the Joker – played by Jared Leto – to be the main villain in the original 2016 blockbuster.
The DC Extended Universe movie also starred Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and although the film saw the gang of antiheroes go against the Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), he wished Batman’s arch nemesis had been “the main bad guy” for the mercenary squad to battle.
He posted on Twitter: “Believe me. I agonize over this. Yes. Joke should have been main bad guy. (sic)”
Although a sequel is in the works, Ayer stepped away from the movie to focus on ‘Gotham City Sirens’ but admitted he could have done things “a little different” to make the first film even more of a success than it was at the box office.
He continued: “Yeah it was a big fun silly movie. It could have been a bigger success had I done it a little different. But it did great and made an impression. (sic)”

Alan McGee: Oasis would have made it in social media age

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan McGee believes Oasis would have still made it if they started in the social media age because Noel Gallagher is “so smart”.
Music mogul McGee was responsible for signing the ‘Supersonic’ hitmakers to his Creation Records label in 1993 and in the space of three years they became the biggest band in the world with their albums ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ and incredible live shows.
Guitarist Noel, 51, has described them as the last “last great, traditional rock’n’roll band” before the internet became ubiquitous, but McGee, 58, believes Oasis would have become just as big now and would’ve found a way to use social media to their advantage and so would have their peers Primal Scream and The Happy Mondays.
In an interview with YouTube show ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’, he said: “I think the people are so smart, your Noel Gallaghers, Gillespies, your Shaun Ryders, they would have adapted to the whole social media thing. And they would understand it. And then they intrinsically had the music anyway, all these three bands, especially Primal Scream and the Mondays, they were incredibly unique. Like ‘Bummed’ is unique. Like ‘Screamadeclica’ is unique. You know they were incredibly unique bands.”
However, McGee – who has launched a new label Creation Records 23 – does think the ease at which bands and new artists can share their music online means they have no time to develop which means they don’t get a chance to hone their craft.
He added: “One of the reasons that Oasis got good is that they were left in Manchester for a long time. One of the reasons My Bloody Valentine got good is they were left to their own devices for some time. Primal Scream took six years to get good. Because they were underneath the radar. I don’t think anybody’s underneath the radar now. It’s called YouTube.”
Although Noel only runs his Instagram account, Liam is a regular poster to his account on the photo sharing site and Twitter.
The 46-year-old singer has 3.01 million followers on the platform and his most popular tweets and responses to fans were used in the promotional campaign for his 2017 solo album ‘As You Were’ – which went platinum.
McGee’s interview with Radio X’s Gordon Smart for ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’ is available to watch on YouTube now.

Alfonso Ribeiro to front new BBC game show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alfonso Ribeiro will front new BBC game show ‘Money Tree’.
The 47-year-old star is set to film a pilot of the show next week, and the programme has been compared to ‘Family Fortunes’.
A show insider told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “Alfonso is a TV icon and was a real hit in the UK when he appeared on ‘I’m A Celeb’ back in 2013.
“He’s got that real sense of comedic charm and effortless banter that is needed in a game show presenter, so BBC bosses thought he would be the perfect signing.
“He’s filming a pilot next week but they are really hoping that it will hit the ground running and be turned into a full series.
“It’s sure to be a right laugh with Alfonso on board.
“And, of course, they’re hoping that his famous Carlton dance and bright sweaters will make an appearance at some point.”
The new programme will see families go head-to-head in seven rounds of general knowledge trivia and the first episode is being filmed next Thursday (18.10.18).
Last month, the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ star – who portrayed Will Smith’s nerdy cousin Carlton Banks on the long-running series and was known for his iconic dance in the series – reunited with his co-stars more than 20 years after the show went off the air.
He was joined by former castmates, Will, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid and Joseph Marcell.

Gregg Wallace and wife trying for baby for 2 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregg Wallace and his wife have been trying for a baby for two years.
The ‘MasterChef’ co-host – who has two kids, Tom, 24, and Libby, 21, from his second marriage to ex Denise – and Anne-Marie, 32, are desperate to have a child together, and the 53-year-old star insists a guy who has a younger wife but denies them the chance to have kids “doesn’t love her”.
He said: “We’ve been trying for two years.
“When I fell in love with a much younger woman, I realised that is what she would want. I think, if an older man says to a younger woman, ‘I don’t really want children,’ then he doesn’t love her.”
Gregg – who has been married four times, and divorced three times – admits he got “very lucky” after finding love with Anne-Marie.
He is quoted by the Daily Express newspaper of saying: “The game of love is a lottery and I have just been very, very lucky this time.”
The ‘Eat Well For Less’ host is so in love with his wife he has moved her mother, 57-year-old mum Rina Sterpini, into his home to make it harder for Anne-Marie to leave him.
He said: “Anne can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well, so for an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.
“It’s made a family home for them now Anne and her mum are here all the time.”
The former greengrocer is also set to welcome his father-in-law into his home, which could give him and Anne-Marie some extra support if they are successful in their baby aim.

Ben Shephard hosted Good Morning Britain during painkiller daze

OHMYGOSSIP — The 43-year-old TV presenter took “very heavy painkillers” after slipping a disc while giving one of his friends a hug, and during his hazy hosting his co-presenter Kate Garraway had to tell him to be quiet because he started talking to himself out loud.
He said: “What was interesting was doing the show after I did my back and I did a couple of shows on some very heavy painkillers.
“And those were shows that were quite surreal – you can imagine, it was a bit of daze.
“Kate Garraway had to turn round and tell me to be quiet.
“She said, ‘Shush’. And I said, ‘Did I say that out loud?’ and she said, ‘Yeah’. I was taking tramadol which numbed the pain brilliantly.
“But I quickly decided I wanted to deal with this in a conscious way, and not be out of it. So I came off the pills.
The ‘Goals on Sunday’ co-host – who has previously suffered a broken elbow, and torn ligaments – injured his back after an “overly affectionate” embrace with his friend when they were leaving the pub.
He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I am falling apart. I had a very middle-aged injury. It was shocking.”
Ben previously ruptured his ankle ligaments when he was getting down from a climbing wall.
He recently said: “I had a broken elbow and dislocated it too. I ruptured all the ligaments in my ankle coming off a climbing wall with my kids. Then to slip a disc walking? My ninja days are behind me.”

Get out and vote. I love you guys!”
And the 28-year-old star also teased she’s heading for a “new chapter” in her life as she picked up the Favorite Album – Pop/Rock accolade for ‘Reputation’.
She said: “Thank you a million times for this. This is actually the first time I ever wrote an album based on a title first… So the whole time I was writing an album based on all the facets of a reputation and how it affects you, what it actually means to you, I was surrounded by friends and family and loved ones, who never loved me less based on the fluctuations of public opinion.
“I always look at albums as chapters in my life. And to the fans, I’m so happy that you like this one…. But I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter.”
Elsewhere at the ceremony – which was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross – Post Malone was named Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock and also took home Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop for ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’, while Migos were honoured with Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock.
