Jodie Whittaker reveals one question she’d as past Doctors

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker would ask past Doctors about the “most beautiful thing” they’ve ever seen.
The ‘Doctor Who’ star appeared in her first full episode as the Time Lord on Sunday (07.10.18) and she has settled on the one question she’d ask her predecessors if she had the chance.
As quoted by RadioTimes.com, she said: “I would ask, and I would genuinely want to ask them all — and I have that right! — I would ask them all, ‘What is the single most beautiful thing you have seen?’
“Because I know that there’s moments in this, and emotions in this, that kind of tap into something very profound for me.
“And for the Doctors that have worn these shoes for longer, I wonder if they have a moment that they distill. So, it would be that to them all.”
Meanwhile, Jodie has promised herself she’ll binge watch the sci-fi show “from start to finish” once she’s stepped down as the first female Time Lord.
The 36-year-old actress is the first woman to take on the role in its 55-year history, and she doesn’t want to take in too much in case it clouds her own performances.
She recently explained: “I wanted to read my research, not watch it… You question yourself a lot as an actor, and I never wanted to third eye it and think: Has this been done before? Am I trying to be like someone else, or is this me in the moment?
“The joy of a role like this is in making it your own. It has elements that continue throughout the whole of time and space, but what’s brilliant is the lack of walls around it.
“You’re trusted that your instinct is right for the moment. That’s why it’s a role that so many people would love to play, and why so many people that have played it have adored it, and only speak passionately about it. But when I hand over these shoes, I’m going to watch it from episode one!”

Bob Odenkirk got drunk for first time in 30 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Odenkirk got drunk for the first time in 30 years for a TV show.
The ‘Better Call Saul’ actor found it “scary” to get intoxicated for an episode of TV show ‘Drunk History’ in 2016 and he almost “backed out” of appearing in the comedy series because he felt so nervous.
Speaking at PaleyFest New York, the 55-year-old star said: “It was scary for me to get drunk.
“[Creator Derek Waters] knows. We had a lot of conversations about it. I almost backed out because I haven’t been drunk in a long, long time. Not that I was going for a record but it was probably over 30 years.”
Bob – who has children Nathan, 19, and Erin, 17, with wife Naomi – explained he felt apprehensive because he didn’t want to set a bad example to his teenage kids if he ended up in a bad way because of the booze.
He said: “I have kids who are teenagers, both in college now, and I was a little worried about them seeing me on TV really drunk– like — vomiting drunk.”
But despite his reservations, the ‘Breaking Bad’ star agreed to shoot the episode, in which he narrated the story of Disco Demolition Night, an anti-disco movement in 1969, and threw himself into indulging in a number of alcoholic drinks, even with the showrunner keeping a careful eye on him.
He said: “It was a tough call to do it and I just bit the bullet and the worm, and Derek was very protective of me. But I did drink two and a half double gin tonics and four shots of tequila.
“I was definitely drunk.”

Ronnie Wood raises £200,000 for rhinos conservation

OHMYGOSSIP — Ronnie Wood has raised £200,000 for rhinos conservation at a wildlife charity auction.
The 71-year-old rock star managed to raise the eye-watering sum during the Tusk Rhino Trail auction at Christie’s in London, with the rhino he painted with his two-year-old twins, Alice and Gracie, helping to generate much-needed funds for the cause.
During the bidding process, the Rolling Stones star added: “I’ll throw in some VIP Stones tickets, too!”
The auction was also attended by British singer Katherine Jenkins and her six-month-old son, Xander.
Katherine, 38, revealed that her son is already following in her musical footsteps.
The blonde beauty – who also has a three-year-old daughter called Aaliyah – told the Daily Mail newspaper: “He’s already singing. He sings a lot to himself, and both the children are going to be brought up with music so we would like to always encourage that.”
Meanwhile, Ronnie previously insisted that while luck has played a part in his success, he’s also always had a good work ethic.
The British rocker is famous for having lived a life of excess, but Ronnie has been diligent about his music career, too.
He said: “I’ve definitely been in the right place at the right time, with a little bit of manipulation on my part, just kind of pushing everybody out of the way and getting in.
“There was also a lot of work. Even as a teenager, I’d be up into the small hours, practising, getting a little lick on my guitar, figuring out how it went together. You make it look like you stumbled on a sound, but a lot of work has gone into it.”
Asked whether he would choose to live his life in exactly the same way, he explained: “I was going to say, ‘Without the smoking’ … but when I was growing up, everyone smoked!”

Natasha Hamilton feels ‘violated’ after alleged train assault

OHMYGOSSIP — Natasha Hamilton has accused an unnamed man of rubbing his penis against her on a train.
The 36-year-old pop star has detailed the incident on her Twitter account, accusing the “vile man” of deliberately pressing himself up against her on a London train and Natasha has since reported him to British Transport Police.
She wrote on the micro-blogging website: “This vile excuse of a man just had his penis pushed up against me while on the overground train from London Bridge heading to Elmstead Woods.
“Honesty I am shaking a feel so violated now! But more than anything I am so angry!! I had the opportunity to take his picture before he left the train – this has to stop happening to people! (sic)”
Meanwhile, the former Atomic Kitten star previously hit out at people who labelled her a so-called four-by-four mother.
Natasha – who has kids Josh, 16, Harry, 13, Alfie, eight, and Ella, four, by four different men – insisted she doesn’t have any regrets, despite what her critics say.
She explained: “I do get people saying nasty things because my children have different dads. But I feel I would have been a worse mum staying in relationships that were detrimental to me and my children’s happiness.”
The pop star also revealed that her oldest children were more understanding of the situation.
Speaking in 2015, she said: “Josh said to me recently, ‘Mum, I really admire what you’ve done in your life because you’re not willing to settle for anything other than the best.’
“I was so touched. They’re wonderful kids and hopefully I can pass on some wisdom, so they make good decisions.”

Ryan Gosling says he was reluctant to moan during First Man shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling felt he didn’t have any right to complain on the set of ‘First Man’.
The 37-year-old actor – who stars as Neil Armstrong in the biographical drama – has admitted he was loathed to protest any problems he encountered on the set of the movie because the shoot was also attended by former astronauts who’d put themselves through the real-life drama of a space mission.
Ryan told GQ magazine: “There was always somebody on set that either had direct experience with the missions we were shooting or was indirectly related to it, and I think they were strategically there because it made it impossible to complain about whatever your trivial discomfort was in relation to what they had actually experienced.”
One sequence for the movie was shot using a multi-axis trainer, which is used to prepare astronauts for the challenges they may face while in space.
Although Ryan is reluctant to moan too much, he didn’t enjoy the experience of shooting that particular sequence.
He jokingly confessed: “Yeah, I don’t remember much from that entire time…”
Meanwhile, Ryan previously admitted to feeling a bit anxious about saying Armstrong’s iconic line, about taking a “giant leap for mankind”, in ‘First Man’.
He said: “I was worried about it. It hung over me as it is the most famous line, and a beautiful thing to say.
“Neil didn’t think about it ahead of time, so I tried not to think about it too much.”
Ryan also admitted to feeling under extra pressure after he met with members of Armstrong’s family.
He explained: “Neil’s sons wanted all the stories and context to shed new light on their father.
“It was the greatest challenge I have been part of and it was the biggest relief that, after they saw the film, they said, ‘All our lives we have been asked what it is like to be the sons of the first man on the moon. Now we can say: go and see the film.'”

Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton ‘have split’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck has reportedly split from Shauna Sexton.
The 46-year-old actor – who was previously married to fellow Hollywood star Jennifer Garner – and Shauna, 22, have decided to go their separate ways after less than two months of dating, although an insider has played down the significance of their split.
The source told People: “There was nothing to split from as it has been casual.”
Ben and Shauna recently went on a romantic vacation to Montana together.
But the actor – who checked himself into rehab in August, seeking treatment for alcohol addiction – is instead focused on his health and his three children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six.
The insider explained: “He enjoyed being with her but is working on himself, and being together with her at this time is not something that works.
“He will date in the future, but for now his focus is on his sobriety, family and his next project.”
Ben previously thanked his family after completing a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction.
The Academy Award-winning star took to his Instagram account to explain that he’d spent 40 days at a treatment centre and revealed that he’s still in outpatient care.
He said in his post: “The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others.”
Ben – whose divorce was finalised in 2017 – also revealed he was determined to fight his addiction for the sake of himself and his family.
The ‘Gone Girl’ star – who previously spent time in rehab in 2001 and 2017 – shared: “Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. I am fighting for myself and my family.”

Cardi B claims Nicki Minaj sparked clash in New York

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B says Nicki Minaj questioning her parenting skills triggered their clash during New York Fashion Week.
The 25-year-old rap star – who has a two-month-old daughter called Kulture with fellow rapper Offset – has revealed the background to their much-discussed clash last month, when their simmering rivalry took a violent turn.
Cardi said: “For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker has claimed their skirmish was ignited after Nicki liked – and then unliked – a tweet about her parenting.
Cardi told W magazine: “I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter.
“I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass f***ing mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment?
“So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”
As well as recently becoming a parent, Cardi also married Offset in 2017.
But the chart-topping star has admitted she previously doubted whether they could sustain a marriage because of their jam-packed work schedules.
She shared: “When I got married with my dude, we still had a lot of doubts, because our relationship is not like everybody’s.
“He was always travelling, and I was always travelling. We’re artists.
“So I used to see him, like, twice a week, and, you know, he’s known for having different women, and I’m known for, like, not taking s**t from guys. But we really loved each other, and we was scared to lose each other.”

Mandy Moore says marriage to Ryan Adams was ‘very unhealthy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore thinks her marriage to Ryan Adams was a “very unhealthy situation”.
The 34-year-old singer and Ryan, 43, ended their seven-year marriage in 2016, but Mandy has insisted she doesn’t blame herself for the collapse of their relationship.
She explained: “I don’t feel guilty for it. I don’t fault myself for it.
“When people said, ‘I’m sorry,’ I was like, ‘No. Sorry would have been had I stayed in a very unhealthy situation.’ I didn’t. I found my way out. And when I did, things opened back up again.”
Of her decision to tie the knot in the first instance, she confessed it was”not the smartest” move.
She added: “I didn’t choose the right person.”
But Mandy is now in a relationship with musician Taylor Goldsmith, whom she met via Instagram shortly after her split from Ryan.
The duo are currently engaged and the singer is already looking forward to their future together, convinced she’s found her perfect partner.
Mandy told Glamour magazine: “I was still dealing with the trauma of my divorce when we started dating.
“Taylor was steadfast in his support – that was a huge sign for me.”
The couple are keen to adopt and Mandy is convinced Taylor will be a brilliant dad.
She said: “He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner.
“He’s going to be the most tremendous father … Maybe it’s true [about the biological clock], but f**k that narrative.”
Despite her previous heartbreak, Mandy feels it’s all been worthwhile as it’s ultimately led her to find Taylor.
She explained: “I view the past as a stepping-stone to get me where I am today. I would gladly weather all of that a million times over if it brought me to Taylor again.”

Khloe Kardashian ‘is holding off moving to Cleveland’

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian is reportedly “holding off” on moving to Cleveland to be with Tristan Thompson.
The 34-year-old reality star and the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player have been dating since 2016 and have five-month-old daughter True together, yet Khloe is still not ready to make the full-time switch from Los Angeles to Cleveland.
A source explained: “She isn’t ready to leave her family just yet. True will be six months old soon and Khloe plans to spend that special day with her family.”
The insider explained that it’s recently been hard for Khloe to relive the drama surrounding Tristan through ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ in the days prior to her giving birth.
The reality show has aired the allegations that the 27-year-old star cheated on Khloe with multiple women shortly before the arrival of their daughter.
The source added: “As much as she’s worked on moving past the heartbreak, the reminder brings up some of those emotions again.
“Khloe will most likely head back to Cleveland, but as of now, there isn’t an official date.”
Earlier this month, an insider claimed Khloe “still struggles” with the cheating allegations.
It was claimed that the incident has eroded the reality star’s trust in Tristan.
A source said: “Khloe has seemed emotional. Her feelings about Tristan cheating is something that she is still dealing with.
“She has good weeks when she is fine about it and weeks when she is upset about it. It’s of course difficult to trust someone 100 percent who cheated days before he was about to become a dad. Khloe still struggles with this sometimes.
“She wants to move back to Cleveland, but she isn’t sure what date she is [going]. The move is postponed for now.”

Jimmy Fallon reveals NBC executives didn’t want him as Late Night host

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Fallon claims NBC executives were initially opposed to him becoming the host of ‘Late Night’.
The 44-year-old comedian starred on ‘Late Night’ prior to becoming the host of ‘The Tonight Show’, but Jimmy has revealed he required outside help in order to secure his dream job.
He explained: “NBC didn’t even want me. I remember them saying, ‘Really, Jimmy Fallon? His movies are terrible.’
“But Lorne [Michaels, creator of ‘Saturday Night Live’] was like, ‘Don’t worry, he works well and plays well with others.’ Like I was a kindergartner.”
Jimmy also tried his best to convince his bosses at NBC that he was suited to the ‘Late Night’ format.
He told Vulture: “I remember having to go to three or four dinners with NBC, trying to convince them I was the guy.
“And then finally [president and CEO of NBC] Jeff Zucker was like, ‘Are you sure? This is a lot of work.’ I was like, ‘Yes, I’m sure.'”
Jimmy appears on ‘The Tonight Show’ alongside his house band, the American hip-hop group the Roots.
But the comedian also had to convince NBC bosses that the group were worthy of a spot on the show.
He said: “NBC didn’t want the Roots. They were like, ‘The Roots are too urban or something.’
“I went, you’re totally wrong. Do you know these guys? Go see them. Have you seen them?
“These guys have played with everyone from Jay-Z to Tony Bennett. There’s no band that exists like them at all.”
Meanwhile, Jimmy previously revealed he has no plans to walk away from ‘The Tonight Show’.
He said: “I love what I do.
“I’m lucky to work with the people I work with. And I hope I get to do this for as long as people are watching.”

Harry Styles to co-chair 2019 Met Gala

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles is to serve as a co-chair of the 2019 Met Gala.
The 24-year-old singer is set to perform the role alongside Lady Gaga, tennis champion Serena Williams and Vogue magazine editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The theme of the next Met Gala will be Camp: Notes on Fashion, which has been inspired by the essay of the American writer Susan Sontag.
In the 1964 essay, Sontag focused her attention on the idea of camp as “ostentatious”.
She explained: “Camp taste has an affinity for certain arts rather than others. Clothes, furniture, all the elements of visual decor, for instance, make up a large part of Camp.”
The 2019 Met Gala will be staged at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 6.
Meanwhile, Harry previously explained that in spite of his fame, he’s never felt the need to explain himself to anybody.
The British star – who released his self-titled debut solo album in 2017 – said he didn’t want to explain the intention and meaning behind any of his lyrics.
Speaking in particular about the track ‘From the Dining Table’, Harry shared: “I’ve never felt the need to explain myself in terms of my personal life.
“I very much feel like writing is the way you get to say what you want to say and be like, ‘That’s all I have to say on it.’
“With that one, I think it’s up to everyone’s interpretation, which is obviously an incredibly diplomatic answer.”
Harry also came out in support of his teenage female fans, saying their opinions ought to be afforded more respect.
He said: “When people have fans that are younger girls, people assume that their opinion on the music is tainted by desires that aren’t based around music. When, in fact, I believe that fans that I’ve had in the past, if anything, expect and demand more.
“Fans are usually the first people to tell you when stuff’s not good enough. And I just think it’s a little naive to just write off younger female fans, in particular, in the way people do.”

Aretha Franklin’s AMA tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — Aretha Franklin was honoured with a star-studded gospel tribute at the American Music Awards.
The Queen of Soul died of cancer aged 76 in August and a number of singers, including Gladys Knight, Ledisi, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin and CeCe Winans took to the stage at the annual ceremony on Tuesday (09.10.18) to perform in her honour.
The event’s host, Tracee Ellis Ross, gave an emotional introduction to the segment, hailing Aretha as “our friend, our sister, our queen” before a video montage of the ‘Say a Little Prayer’ hitmaker played, which included footage of her performing at the third-ever AMAs and singing for former President Barack Obama.
Gladys then opened the musical tribute with a rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’, which led into performances of songs including ‘Climbing Higher Mountains’, ‘Mary, Don’t You Weep’, ‘How I Got Over’, and other gospel songs.
Aretha’s sons, Jordan Franklin and Kecalf Cunningham, and her granddaughter Victorie Franklin were in attendance for the tribute and had admitted ahead of the ceremony that they were “excited” to see what was in store.
Speaking on the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, Jordan told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m excited, I didn’t get a chance to check out too many of them. “Just from all the other performances and tributes, it’s always something special. So I’m definitely excited.”
Kecalf added: “[I feel] honored.”
And the family felt it was a fitting tribute to the soul legend.
Jordan explained: “The last time we were here, she did a show here. [It was] maybe a couple years ago, and it was amazing. This exact venue.
“I think she’d be happy to be back and she’d appreciate all the love. She’s here, we’re here so she’s here.”
And ahead of the ceremony, AMA producers Mark Bracco and Baz Halpin had vowed the tribute would be “joyful”.
Baz said: “This is huge. I mean, obviously a terrible loss… not only the musical world, but the world in general.
“We have an incredible Aretha tribute featuring just a host of gospel stars. I think it’s something that everybody will want to see.
“It’s a celebration for sure.”
Mark added: “We really wanted to pay tribute to her gospel roots… first of all with Gladys Knight, who’s a legend, and then gathering some of the biggest legends of gospel.
“That’s really what’s going to be a celebration of life… It’s not going to be maudlin, it’s going to be joyful.”

Lady Gaga calls for ‘bold action’ to help people suffering with mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga has called for “bold action” to help those suffering with their mental health.
The 32-year-old star paid tribute to Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade – who tragically both took their own lives – and reveled her hopes of igniting a “new movement” by speaking out about such a serious issue.
In an op-ed piece published by The Guardian newspaper, she wrote: “Suicide is the most extreme and visible symptom of the larger mental health emergency we are so far failing to adequately address. Stigma, fear and lack of understanding compound the suffering of those affected and prevent the bold action that is so desperately needed and so long overdue…
“Yet despite the universality of the issue, we struggle to talk about it openly or to offer adequate care or resources.
“Within families and communities, we often remain silenced by a shame that tells us that those with mental illness are somehow less worthy or at fault for their own suffering.”
Gaga has been open about her own battle with mental health in the past, and last month she revealed suffering a sexual assault at just 19 has left her feeling “miserable” every day.
She said: “No one else knew. It was almost like I tried to erase it from my brain. And when it finally came out, it was like a big, ugly monster. And you have to face the monster to heal. For me, with my mental health issues, half of the battle in the beginning was, I felt like I was lying to the world because I was feeling so much pain but nobody knew. So that’s why I came out and said that I have PTSD, because I don’t want to hide – any more than I already have to.
“I feel stunned. Or stunted. You know that feeling when you’re on a roller coaster and you’re just about to go down the really steep slope? That fear and the drop in your stomach? My diaphragm seizes up. Then I have a hard time breathing, and my whole body goes into a spasm. And I begin to cry. That’s what it feels like for trauma victims every day, and it’s … miserable. I always say that trauma has a brain. And it works its way into everything that you do.”

Danny Dyer won’t be on reality show

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer isn’t “ready” to have his own reality show.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor had been expected to team up with his daughter Dani Dyer for a family fly-on-the-wall series, but the ‘Love Island’ winner insists that’s not the case as she’s busy making a programme with boyfriend Jack Fincham and her famous dad doesn’t want to be involved.
She told Metro newspaper: “I wanted to put the record straight on this one.
“Jack and me are filming something for ITVBe at the moment, while we’re being followed around by cameras.
“I can’t tell you much more than that for now but hopefully the people who followed and supported us on ‘Love Island’ will enjoy it.
“My family aren’t involved – so there ain’t no big ‘Kardashian’ type show coming up with the Dyers, sorry to disappoint.
“Don’t think my dad’s ready for that yet!”
Dani’s update comes a few weeks after she gave some heavy hints she was making a reality show with her dad.
Asked to confirm whether or not talks have taken place, she said: “Yes, there’s been talks about it, but we’re gonna see.
“You know, it’s one of them things that’s just like once you commit, you commit.
“Yeah, as a family. Oh god, I’m giving out some spoilers!”
When pressed for more details, the 22-year-old beauty hinted: “It could possibly, potentially happen next year, yeah.”
Dani’s dad Danny, 41, recently gave fans hope about the show, admitting he would do it “for the right money”.
He said: “It’ll either be brilliant and amazing, or a total car crash. Maybe we should give it to them for the right money?”
Danny said he’s already working with his daughter on something top secret, and admitted he’d like them to both star on the big screen together.
He said: “We want to do a film together too, not just selling.”

Dolph Lundgren feared ‘lynching’ at Creed premiere

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolph Lundgren was scared he’d get “lynched” at the ‘Creed’ premiere.
The 60-year-old actor shot to fame as Ivan Drago in ‘Rocky IV’ – who famously beat the titular boxer’s friend Apollo Creed to death in the ring – and when he went to see the spin-off, which features Apollo’s son, Adonis (Michael B. Jordan), he was worried emotions would get the better of the crowd.
He recalled: “I was sitting in the audience with my girlfriend and the movie’s about to start and I’m thinking, ‘S**t, I’m the guy who killed his father – they’re going to lynch me here’.
“A lot of the audience were big Apollo fans because of Michael B Jordan — I thought they were going to hate me but they didn’t.”
Dolph reprises his role in ‘Creed 2’ but teased fans can expect a very different Drago as his life has gone downhill since losing his famous bout to Rocky (Sylvester Stallone).
He told The Sun newspaper: “He’s had a rough time.
“He’s lost everything — his country, his wife, his respect and he’s been living as an outcast when we find him.
“The only thing he has that’s worth anything, apart from his drive for redemption, is his son who is another heavyweight fighter.
“This is Drago’s chance for revenge for what’s he’s gone through.”
While Drago is in the movie as his son Viktor’s (Florian Munteanu) trainer, Dolph hinted there could be more of his alter ego’s ring rivalry with Rocky in the frame too.
Asked if they’ll get back in the ring, he cryptically said: “You’ll have to see the picture but there is a surprise in that realm I would think, yes.
“That’s all I can say.”
