OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams has “insecurities” about being a “good enough” parent to her daughter.
The 37-year-old tennis player – who has 13-year-old Olympia with husband Alexis Ohanian – has called for more women to speak out about their worries and anxieties over motherhood.
Speaking at a Pennsylvania Conference for Women on Friday (12.10.18), Serena said: “I always have these insecurities that I’m not good enough as a mom. We all go through these different emotions that we all don’t feel comfortable talking about. But I think we should.”
The tennis star experienced several complications during the birth of her daughter including a pulmonary embolism which forced her to have an emergency caesarean-section.
Serena admitted that she had a “wonderful female doctor” who “listened” to her during her pregnancy and blasted the “unaccepable” fact that not all women are treated the same by the US health care system.
Serena added: “In this country that’s supposed to be so technology-advanced, why are we treating our mothers like this? I was really fortunate because I had an opportunity for my voice to be heard. I had a wonderful female doctor who listened to me. There are so many women who were not being listened to. It’s really unacceptable.”
The mother-of-one finished her guest speaker slot admitting that she wants her daughter to be able to grow up in a supportive world where women support other women rather than tear them down.
She concluded: “The success of another woman should be the inspiration to the next.”
Serena recently admitted finding a good work/life balance is difficult and juggling both can be “hard”.
She said: “It’s hard. It’s not easy being a working mom, but that’s what we do. Women are strong and we are continuing to be, so I’m really proud of that.”
Asked whether she believes there’s such a thing as a work-life balance, she added: “I think there is. The thing is, you just have to find it.
“I’m not sure if I’ve found it yet, but I’m getting there. I’m finding my personal work-life balance.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Owen Wilson’s baby girl has made her Instagram debut.
The ‘You, Me and Dupree’ actor – who already has Ford, seven, with his ex-girlfriend, Jade Duell and Finn, four, with personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist – and Varunie Vongsvirates welcomed daughter Lyla Aranya into the world last week and the businesswoman has now shared a photo of the tot on her social media account.
Lyla was pictured under a pink blanket and the image caption read: “My sweet little princess [heart emoji] Lyla Aranya Wilson, born on 10-09-18 (sic)”
It was previously confirmed the tot measured 21 inches and weighed 6lb 13oz, and her unusual middle name is in honour of Varunie’s father’s Thai heritage.
It was revealed last month that Owen, 49, had found out he was going to be a father again after undergoing paternity tests.
Also in September, Varunie made her Instagram account public, revealing a number of posts about her pregnancy.
One post featured her and Owen at the 2017 premiere of his movie ‘Father Figures’, which she captioned: “‘#fatherfigure (sic)”
And asked by a follower if the ‘Wonder’ actor was her baby’s dad, she replied: “Yes”.
An ultrasound photograph posted in late June revealed Varunie to be expecting a baby girl and had already chosen a name.
She wrote: “Say hello to Lyla [baby emoji] 3 months to go! [heart eye emoji] (sic)”
It was claimed in June that the ‘Zoolander’ star “immediately” offered to take a paternity test and had pledged to be a supportive father if the baby turned out to be his.
A source said at the time: “Owen has been a great father to his two boys and has maintained a warm and close relationship with their mothers.
“Of course if a paternity test establishes that he is the father of another child, he will fulfill all of his obligations to support his child.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Joel is set to perform in London for the first time in over three years.
The legendary singer/songwriter – who has sold over 150 million record worldwide during his career – is to play a concert at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday 22, June 2019.
The mammoth show will be the ‘Uptown Girl’ hitmaker’s only UK date of 2019.
Since 2017, Billy has had record-breaking sellouts in nine stadiums including selling out Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and Fenway Park in Boston for five years in a row.
Tickets for ‘Billy Joel In Concert’ go on sale to the general public at LiveNation.co.uk at 9.00am on Friday October 19, however, American Express card members will have first access to pre-sale tickets from Monday (15.10.18) until 9.00am on Friday.
In July, Joel marked his 100th concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City by playing with his friend Bruce Springsteen.
As he introduced ‘The Boss’ to the audience, the 69-year-old musician said: “We go back a long way. We were both on the same record label and got dumped by the same label. We go way back. This is an Oscar winner, a Grammy winner and Tony Award winner! Please welcome Bruce Springsteen.”
The pair then performed Springsteen’s ‘Tenth Avenue Freeze Out’ and ‘Born To Run’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney has launched a new charity Stella McCartney Cares.
The 47-year-old fashion designer – whose father is Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney – has created the organisation to work towards the “prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer” and she has enlisted the services of Idris Elba for a short awareness video entitled ‘All Is Love’.
She said: “I am so proud and excited to say that I am launching the Stella McCartney Cares Foundation. In so many cultures, there’s so much stigma attached to breast cancer and I think through this campaign that I’ve really found out that the community is so critical and it’s so important.”
The clothing creative has been personally touched by the illness as her mother Linda McCartney was 56 when she tragically died from breast cancer, and that loss is the reason Stella is so determined to help cancer sufferers and the motivation behind starting her own charity.
Speaking to WWD, Stella said: “It’s a cause so close to my heart and the reason I designed the Louise Listening bra is my experience of seeing someone that I loved go through such a traumatizing operation, a mastectomy.
“I found that the mastectomy bras available at the time were just another moment where [breast cancer patients] lost their femininity and they lost a sense of who they were as a woman. I wanted to create a product that really is still beautiful and still feminine and still celebrates the power of being a woman.”
Stella – who designed Meghan Markle’s second wedding dress in May – introduced the Louise Listening bra in 2015 which is a post-operative mastectomy compression bra exclusive to women undergoing breast cancer treatment, and to celebrate the launch of her charity, Stella will donate 1,000 free of charge to breast cancer sufferers.
Previously speaking, Stella said: “We wanted to bring something feminine and beautiful into a bra that is taboo. There are so many different emotions attached to the tragic realities of having had a double mastectomy, many cultures are not accepting and terrible things happen to women both physically and emotionally.
“We just wanted to make something that allows women undergoing this to have something to be proud of, something with no shame attached. We wanted women to know that you can still be feminine, have your sensuality, have all of the things that are attached to being a woman and that part of your body can still feel beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Love Hewitt still “vajazzles” – but only when she has doctors appointments.
The ‘Ghost Whisperer’ actress caused a sensation in 2010 when she introduced to the world the concept of adding jewels to her intimate area but she admitted it’s not something she does very often any more.
She told America’s ELLE magazine: “I did it for a few OB-GYN appointments. Just to make my doctor laugh. But I haven’t vajazzled since.
“I did think about it yesterday.”
Despite her years in the spotlight, the 39-year-old actress – who has children Autumn, four, and Atticus, three, with husband Brian Hallisay – insists her life is very boring.
She said: “Sometimes I think I’ve been so boring that people kind of had to create drama [around me]. Because, really, I’m doing my laundry and eating frozen yogurt at home.”
Jennifer previously spoke about her love of vajazzling and how she enjoyed having a “sparkly secret” in her pants.
She said: “It’s where you stick Swarovski crystals on the female area to add a little glitz and glamour. I actually named it that because it’s like BeDazzling for your hookah.
“The fun part of being a girl is that there are little beauty things you can do to make yourself feel special. I can walk around all day and think, ‘Nobody has any idea that I have a sparkly secret in my pants right now.’ ”
However, after Jennifer wrote about the practice in her 2010 dating guide ‘The Day I Shot Cupid’, she admitted she was inundated with strangers keen to show off their own intimate adornments.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paula Lane has nothing but “warm memories” of her time on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 32-year-old actress played Kylie Platt in the ITV soap from 2010 to 2016 until her character was killed by Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) and two years on from her departure she is still very grateful to have been given a role on the cobbles as she made friends for life on the show.
Paula – who has two children, three-year-old son Arthur and two-year-old daughter Penny, with her husband Tom Shaw – said: “I have really warm memories of my time on ‘Corrie’. I met some friends for life on that show and learnt a lot about myself and my craft. I watched myself grow as an actress. I became a mother on that show too, of course, and I love the rest of the characters. I love them a lot.”
Paula is currently starring as the factory worker character Lauren in a touring production of triple Olivier Award winning musical ‘Kinky Boots’ and she admits there are distinct differences between the types of acting and she really gets a buzz from performing in front of a live audience.
In an interview with ExpressandStar.com, she said: “Being in ‘Kinky Boots’ is very different to being on ‘The Street’, of course. There’s different pressures in different ways. With ‘Corrie’, it was a quick fire day then go home and learn lines. With this, you have to make sure it’s polished to perfection. There’s advantages and disadvantages of both. I guess the biggest advantage of theatre is the live audience. By the end of each show, the audience are on their feet and that’s a thrill.”
Paula is committed to ‘Kinky Boots’ until the end of 2019 and but after that she’s interested in making a return to TV.
She said: “For me, it’s 15 months in this job, until the end of 2019. Then we’ll see. I’d quite like to go back to TV but I’ll go where the wind takes me. Things fall in your path if you work hard enough.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has bought a new house.
The ‘Coronation Street’ has purchased a five-bedroom modern build property close to where her parents live in Warrington in Cheshire, England, and is set to move in just before Christmas.
Writing in her column for OK! magazine, she revealed: “Exciting house news! I’ve bought a new place and it looks like I’ll be moving in before Christmas … I’ve found a lovely five-bedroom modern house nearer to where my parents live in Warrington. The best part is it doesn’t need any work, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to sell the house I’m currently living in.”
The 42-year-old star has three kids, David, 23, Emilie, 21, and seven-year-old Polly, and was delighted when they all gave her choice of new home the seal of approval.
She shared: “My kids also viewed the new place and all had to approve it, as it’s an important family decision, but they’re very happy.”
The housing change has coincided with a quiet period of shooting on ‘Corrie’ for her and so she’s excited to pack up ready for the relocation.
Kym said: “I’m quiet at work over the next month, which means it’s the perfect time for me to pack up.”
The former Hear’Say singer sold her current home – which she bought with her ex-boyfriend Matt Baker – within two days of putting it on the market and she’s delighted that she’s been able to find a new house to share with her boyfriend Scott Ratcliff.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West gifted the President of Uganda a pair of Yeezys.
The 41-year-old rapper – who is in the country to record his ninth album, ‘Yandhi’ – and his 37-year-old wife met with President Yoweri K. Museveni , on Monday (15.10.18) during their trip to Africa to discuss “tourism and the arts” and before they ended their brief meeting, they signed a pair of white sneakers for the leader.
The President of Uganda tweeted: “I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts.
“I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa (sic)”
Kim and Kanye have travelled with their five-year-old daughter North West but are believed to have left two-year-old Saint and nine-month-old Chicago at home.
The ‘Golddigger’ hitmaker surprised fans when he posted an impromptu performance from Uganda on his Twitter account over the weekend.
The controversial rap star returned to the micro-blogging platform over the weekend and has now posted a lengthy video of himself rapping while wrapped in the Ugandan flag.
Kanye captioned the video “Spaceship call earth 3 Uganda Domes. (sic)”
In the video, the ‘Famous’ hitmaker quoted a line from the iconic rap group EPMD, saying: “Relax your mind / Let your conscious be free.”
He continued: “No matter what they say / I’ma still be me / We’re free / We’re free.”
The chart-topping rapper also delivered some freestyle verses and revealed he was going to “Africa” to hear “nature” whilst he was in the studio.
He said: “We have to go to what is known as Africa.
“I just need to go and find out what it’s really called and grab the soil and cook five meals a day so the metabolism stays up and have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we’re recording.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamara Ecclestone has stopped breastfeeding.
The 34-year-old Formula One heiress has been a strong advocate of attachment parenting and has only quit nursing four-year-old Sophia – her only child with husband Jay Rutland – because the youngster was “done” with it.
Speaking on podcast ‘This Is Mothership’, she said: “[Sofia] always does everything on her own timetable, when it’s right for her.
“It just stopped over summer, she was just done. I never wanted it to be a big song and dance like; today we’re going to stop.
“I felt like it was getting less and less and I knew it was going to be done soon.”
Tamara’s decision to keep breastfeeding for so long has divided public opinion but the brunette beauty thinks it is “kind of crazy” that it’s sparked such a reaction.
The socialite has divided opinion for years with her decision to carry on breastfeeding for so long as well as share her choice openly on social media, and the star thinks it’s “kind of crazy” people get so angry.
She said: “It’s kind of crazy that it causes so much of a stir and people get so angry. The haters – whatever – they’re always going to be haters.
“I believe in it so I’m not going to be bullied into posting about it.”
But Tamara learned to ignore the negative comments and concentrate on the fact other women hailed her as an inspiration.
She added: “There have been so many people that have written to me and said to me, ‘You made us feel like it’s OK to carry on and you really helped, thank you for normalising it’ – so all I take away from my experience is the positive.”

The former ‘X Factor’ star admitted it is “s**t” that Andy Speer walked out on her just two weeks after their son Hudson was born in July but she doesn’t think it will be long until he realises he’s made a big mistake.
She said: “I haven’t had time to think about it because I’ve had to be there for Hudson.
“It’s s**t and it’s terrible. I didn’t want to break up and I don’t think he does now, I think he just got so overwhelmed with the situation.
“He’s too busy posing in the gym on his Instagram. It would be nice of him to put a picture of his son up!
“I say to him the door is always open and so when he decides he wants to show up, then he does…
“He said to me, ‘I want to go and find the best version of myself’ and I said, ‘But he’s right in front of you.’
“He needs to go and do a few bench presses and a weight will fall on his head and he’ll realise what he’s missing.

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra “dropped a hint” to Nick Jonas about the engagement ring she wanted.
The ‘Quantico’ actress – who got engaged to the ‘Jealous’ hitmaker in July – had “always known” she wanted to receive a diamond from prestigious jeweller Tiffany because of the store’s significance in movies such as ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and ‘Sweet Home Alabama’.
She told People magazine: “Well, I may have dropped that hint. I think we had a conversation about it when we were dating and I’ve always known it had to be Tiffany.
“I just knew it since I was a kid. First, it was ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ that did it for every girl in the world and then, of course, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ came and put a stamp on it that it has to be Tiffany!”
Nick, 26, had a Tiffany store closed while he shopped for Priyanka’s ring, a cushion cut diamond with tapered baguettes, and the 36-year-old beauty revealed he got some help from his siblings in choosing the rock, but she wasn’t involved beyond her jeweller suggestion.
She said: “No, I wasn’t there, he and his brothers went and did a whole thing to buy the ring for his future wife.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka – who began dating Nick in May – recently spoke of her wish to start a family within the next decade.
She said: “I am a very ‘live in the today,’ maximum ‘live in the next two months’ kind of person. But [in] 10 years, I definitely want to have kids. That is, it’s going to happen in the next 10 years. Well, hopefully earlier than that. I’m very fond of children and I want to be able to do that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Marie Presley is seeking sole custody of her twin daughters.
The 50-year-old singer – who is the daughter of the late musical icon Elvis Presley and business magnate Priscilla Presley – has been embroiled in a divorce battle with her estranged husband Michael Lockwood since the pair split in 2016, and she’s now filed documents seeking primary physical custody of their 10-year-old children Harper and Finley, The Blast reports.
The twins were previously placed under protective custody by the Department of Child and Family Services as part of a dependency court order but that has now expired.
The former couple – who married in 2006 – have been arguing over money since they split, with Lisa Marie fighting to enforce their post-nuptial agreement, which stated that neither of them has the right to spousal support “at any time, regardless of circumstances”.
Michael had argued he was not aware of what he was signing, never read the document, and never had the terms explained, but his former partner insisted he was “completely aware”, “completely represented by counsel” and “had the full and complete opportunity to negotiate the agreement.”
Her lawyer also claimed Michael had been “feigning amnesia or ignorance” about the agreement.
In February, despite claiming to be $16 million in debt, Lisa Marie – who also has children
Riley, 29, and Benjamin, 25, with ex-husband Danny Keough – was ordered to pay Michael $100,000 towards his legal fees.
The producer had originally asked for $450,000 from his estranged wife, but a judge instead ordered her to hand over $100,000, which she must pay within 30 days.
Previously, Lisa alleged in court documents filed as part of her ongoing divorce that she was in $16.7 million of debt, which was made up of defaulted payments on the mortgage for her $6 million home in the UK, as well as unpaid income tax and almost $50,000 in credit card bills.

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Walters watches his saucy ‘EastEnders’ scenes alone – because he doesn’t want his parents or partner to “wind him up” about them.
The former ‘Benidorm’ star’s latest storyline in the BBC One soap has seen his character Keanu Taylor involved in a hot and steamy affair with Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean), but the 25-year-old star “doesn’t take it too well” when his family poke fun at him.
Speaking about his saucy scenes, he said: “I try to watch those alone – as it’s very awkward to watch with my parents or my partner.
“They know I’m playing a character, of course, but they also know not to wind me up because I don’t take it too well.
“I don’t always watch my stuff because I’m my biggest critic. However, I catch up when I can.”
Danny and Letitia have become “great friends” as their characters’ romance scenes have “got more intimate”, and he believes it is important to have plenty of trust when filming such personal segments.
He added: “We’d only had the odd scene together before, so this was my first opportunity to get to know her better.
“As the scenes have got more intimate, we’ve grown as friends, and that’s really important, to have that trust between fellow actors.
“We’re great friends now, and that helps for any worries or anxieties we might have. She knows what she’s doing, and we’re both feeling really comfortable.”
While Danny hadn’t acted alongside the 50-year-old soap veteran much when he was initially handed the plot, he was confident the pair would create “great chemistry”.
He told Inside Soap magazine: “Working with Letitia Dean has given me the opportunity to learn a lot – but it’s also meant that we’ve been able to make an amazing storyline together.
“I knew Letitia and I would create great chemistry on camera – and we have.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas says she will judge Seann Walsh and Katya Jones “without fear or favour” on this weekend’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 58-year-old panellist remained coy when asked about the pair’s well-documented controversial recent kiss after a night out, which occurred despite Seann having a girlfriend of five years, Rebecca Humphries – who has since dumped him – and Katya being married to fellow pro dancer Neil Jones, but Shirley insists such incidents go on “in every industry”.
She said: “I shall go out on Saturday with everybody enjoying the show, and be ready to see the dancing, judging without fear or favour.
“I think things happen all the time in every industry. I just feel ‘Strictly’ or ‘Dancing on Ice’ or any show that is on TV is in the public eye and seems to get a little more attention.
“I don’t necessarily just think it’s because of ‘Strictly’.”
Shirley says she will not be judging Seann and Katya’s private life when she scores their Charleston routine on the weekend.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: “I think people get on with their job. I’m there to judge a competition which is about dancing. I’m not there to judge anybody’s private life. Everybody comes and they do their best, so that’s what everybody will be looking forward to on Saturday.
“I’m there as an adjudicator to judge the dancing only. They’re going to dance on Saturday, and I shall be judging the dancing.
“I’m sure the country is ready … we had a fantastic week last week and this week will be just as good I’m sure.”
Following incident last week, Seann’s girlfriend took to Twitter to reveal she had dumped him, taken their cat, and claimed he had called her “a psycho” and “mental” for suggesting “something inappropriate was going on” between him and Katya.
She wrote: “Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly called me a psycho / nuts / mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour. (sic)”
Seann and Katya have publicly apologised for their kiss, writing the incident off as a “one-off mistake”.
Katya wrote on Twitter: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship. (sic)”
Seann tweeted: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions. This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after reportedly crashing her pink Range Rover in south London in the early hours of Wednesday morning (10.10.18).
According to The Sun Online, the 40-year-old star was leaving the birthday party of her ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson when she crashed her car in Woolwich and after being found behind the wheel by police officers she was given a breath test and then taken into custody.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 2am British Transport Police officers came across a car showing signs of damage stationary at the roadside in Shooters Hill Road, Woolwich.
“A 40-year-old woman who was inside the car was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She was taken to a south London police station where she remains.”
The incident is the latest driving offences committed by Katie.
In February, the ‘Loose Women’ star was banned from driving for six months for speeding after picking up 12 penalty points.
Then in July she was spotted at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta, meaning she had breached her ban, Katie later explained on Instagram that she had been driving as she had to take her special needs son Harvey, 16, to hospital and confessed it had been an “emotional rollercoaster” for her to make the decision to drive.
In September, Katie checked into rehab after being diagnosed with co-morbid post-traumatic stress (PTSD) disorder following a consultation with experts at The Priory as she struggled to deal with her mother Amy’s diagnosis with a terminal lung condition and the breakdown of her marriage to Kieran Hayler.
Speaking about her current emotional state, Amy said: “Kate has been her own worst enemy and behaved like an idiot at times but she has been tearing herself apart for years. OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna has confirmed she and Mike Thalassitis have split.
The 26-year-old country singer and the reality TV star attempted to patch up their differences on a make-or-break holiday to Dubai, but she admits the vacation didn’t work and she is now “trying to move on” with her life.
She said: “Mike and I haven’t been together for a few months.
“I was out in Ibiza at the season’s closing parties and I did see him out there. We decided to go to Dubai together, just to see if we could make it work again.
“We went there because it was out of the public eye and it could be the two of us. But it hasn’t worked. Sometimes it just can’t happen. I’m just trying to move on with my life now.”
Megan has been involved in numerous TV bust-ups over the years and while she doesn’t regret rising to fame on reality shows, the ‘High Heeled Shoes’ hitmaker insists she has “grown up a lot” and has learnt to control her anger.
She added to The Sun Online: “I plastered myself across screens. People have seen me have meltdowns, they’ve watched me screaming at people and crying because of bad break ups.
“I don’t regret anything and those experiences have helped me to get where I am today.
“I’ve grown up a lot now and I know how to control my anger. I think my fans can see how I’ve evolved and they’ve come along with me for the ride.”
Mike recently hinted he and Megan had split, admitting things were “not working between the pair”.
He said: “I don’t know what the future holds, but I don’t hold out much hope.
“There’s only so much you can keep trying when it’s not working.
“You’ve got to do what makes you happy.”
This comes after Megan recently said she was keen to marry former ‘Love Island’ star Mike just three months ago.
Speaking in July, she said: “If Mike proposed tomorrow, I’d say yes. I’m ready to marry him. I can 100 per cent see myself with him forever.
“I want a family one day and I think Mike and I would make beautiful tanned babies.”
