OHMYGOSSIP — Ronan Keating has confessed he’s often turned up to his early morning radio show worse for wear.
The Boyzone star presents the UK Magic Radio Breakfast show with Harriet Scott weekdays from 6am, and has admitted he’s copied TV show ‘This Morning’ hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on occasions, in arriving to work still hungover, most recently after this year’s GQ Men of the Year Awards.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s horrible.
“A couple of times now, I’ve been out and gone straight in. The last time was the GQ Awards – I was at a house party until 4.30am and I pushed right through. It wasn’t my best show.”
Ronan and Harriet have been nominated for an ARIA radio industry prize this year, and the 41-year-old singer says his boss has told him he won’t mind if he pulls a “Phil and Holly” if they nab the award.
Joking that he will turn up either dressed in his nightclothes or the tuxedo he wears to the ceremony on Thursday (18.10.18), Ronan laughed: “It’s OK if you two pull a Phil and Holly on Friday morning.”
“If we get an award, we might just go nuts.
“I’ll turn up in my pyjamas. Or I’ll still be in my tux.”
At the GQ Men of the Year Awards last month, Ronan claimed a well-known British actress shoved past him and his wife Storm.
The Irish hunk – who has lashed out at the mystery star – whose identity he refused to divulge – after she strutted down the red carpet on her own, pushed her way to the front of the photography queue and waltzed into the event without saying a word.
He said at the time: “You know the red carpet gets backed up a little bit. Always at all these events, whatever you do there’s a little bit of a queue at the red carpet.
“Storm and I are standing there and having a chat with Erin O’Connor, the model and the lady from ‘Game of Thrones’ – Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).
“We’re having a chat, having a bit of craic and I can see this figure coming… and they’re moving at speed. There’s no one with them, they’re on their own.
“There’s this kind of flowing Bollywood style dress. In they walk, past us, through the queue, past the whole queue, straight to the top of the red carpet, in front of the photographers and boom – hand on the hip.
“You can just see everybody in the queue – everyone’s just looking, going ‘who the f does she think she is?!’ You wouldn’t mind if there was one of these American publicist people going: ‘out of the way, excuse me.’ But no on her own, on her tod, walked straight in. Top of the queue, passed everyone out.”
Harriet – who seemingly knew the actress’ identity – teased: “She’s a British actress, in a big blockbuster about a big event in World War II, something like a pivotal moment in World War II. She seemed like a really laid back person.”
The rude encounter put Ronan off the actress and her films from now on.
He said: “We were disappointed, we wanted to really like her but we don’t anymore!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have planned their trip to Fuji and Tonga to avoid the Zika virus risk.
The royal couple revealed on Monday (15.10.18) they are expecting their first child together in spring next year, and are currently on their first major International tour since getting married in May.
The 34-year-old Duke of Sussex and his wife are aware of the current epidemic of Zika-infested mosquitos in the areas they are set to visit and how it can affect pregnant women, and have reassured the royal family and the public that they have taken on the recommendations of doctors to avoid Meghan coming into contact with the virus.
A statement by Kensington Palace reads: “The Duke and Duchess sought medical advice about the risk of the Zika virus on the islands of Fiji and Tonga and there will be no change to the planned schedule.”
The couple are taking precautions by only Harry visiting Fiji’s Solo-i-Suva forest for the unveiling of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy and the same for their planned trip to Suva’s War memorial, The Sun reports.
The pair will spend a total of three days in Fiji, and a day in Tonga.
Harry and Meghan, who landed in Australia yesterday (15.10.18), have already received their first baby gifts since announcing their pregnancy news.
Whilst attending a welcome reception at Admiralty House in Sydney, they were handed a fluffy stuffed kangaroo and fleece Ugg baby booties by the Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove.
Duchess Meghan – who was known as Meghan Markle before getting married – said: “That’s so cute, it’s our first baby gift!”
Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, revealed their baby news through a statement shared on social media by Kensington Palace, which said the happy couple were “delighted” to be able to share the exciting news with the public.
The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
The couple will no doubt receive a host of presents in the coming month, not least from Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, who is “very happy” about becoming a grandmother.
Another statement from Kensington Palace read: “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Offset reportedly splashed out a six-figure sum on three pieces of diamond jewellery for his wife Cardi B.
The Migos rapper had already surprised the ‘I Like It’ hitmaker with a $200,000 Lamborghini Urus sports car for his spouse’s 26th birthday last week, and now it’s been revealed he had a personalised necklace, charm bracelet and pair of earrings designed by Pristine Jewellers, featuring the name of their three-month-old baby daughter Kulture.
TMZ reports that the three times all contain 100 carats of quality diamonds and he even paid for the owners of Pristine to fly the precious accessories over to hand them to Cardi in person.
Cardi shared videos and pictures of herself wearing the items on her Instagram account.
The ‘Girls’ rapper captioned one clip of her adorning the heavy-looking necklace in the back of a car : “CHAMPAGNE ROSE ITS MY GAME ! Thank you @pristine_jewelers for my KULTURE EARRINGS @quavohuncho album out now ! (sic)”
Cardi rocked the jewels over the weekend during her appearance at Drake’s concert in Los Angeles, where Migos were supporting.
Other than psychical gifts, Cardi had a particular present request for her husband Offset.
In the video, posted to her Instagram story, the outspoken star said: “I want my husband to f**k me in 30 different positions. I want that [man[ to flex me like a New York pretzel.”
The ‘MotorSport’ hitmaker also admitted she has “everything that she’s ever wanted” in life.
She shared: “I wanna say thank you everybody for wishing me a happy birthday. I’m excited, I’m gonna drink some Hennessy today. OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’ star Jodie Whittaker cried the first time she went inside the new TARDIS.
The 36-year-old actress admits her first taste of playing the Thirteenth Doctor in the hit sci-fi series was “amazing” – and when she first saw the redesigned fictional time machine for series 11, alongside executive producer Matt Stevens and showrunner Chris Chibnall, she was “surprisingly emotional”.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, she said: “Just walking into it the first time was amazing; it was just me, Matt Stevens and Chris Chibnall.
“After I stepped in, I immediately had to go off and have a little cry. I had a real moment. It was surprisingly emotional.”
The ‘Broadchurch’ star admitted her favourite feature of the latest TARDIS is a Custard Cream biscuit dispenser – created by the show’s production designer Arwel Jones.
She said: “My favourite part is the pedal I can push and a Custard Cream falls out! It’s an Arwel Jones special.”
Jodie isn’t the only one who enjoyed the new feature, and while fans were impressed with the steampunk interior and new control panels – they were most amazed by the new biscuit delivery system.

He said: “I felt like a little kid again, walking into the TARDIS for the first time, I wanted to try everything: ‘what does this do? What does that do?’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Bacon will return to ‘Blue Peter’ today (16.10.18) – 20 years after he was sacked for taking cocaine.
The 42-year-old TV presenter became the first host to ever be axed from the children’s programme in 1998 after he admitted to taking the Class A drug, but he will be back on the series today in a special episode to celebrate the show’s 60th birthday.
He wrote on Twitter: “on Tuesday, in a day they (and I) said would never come, I’ll be back on Blue Peter. (sic)”
Richard – who spent 11 nights in a medically-induced coma whilst battling a killer lung infection in July – co-hosted the show for 18 months until he was axed, and has now admitted the programme was the job he has held the “most affection” for.
He tweeted: “I can never hold down a job for long. I’ve hosted a lot of shows in a lot of places. And yet the one I have the most affection for is the one I got fired from. Happy Birthday Blue Peter. I love you. (sic)”
‘Blue Peter’ is the longest-running children’s TV programme in the world after airing for continuous seasons since it was first broadcast in 1958.
Several former presenters have paid tribute to the show on its 60th birthday today, including Katy Hill, who is “forever grateful” to the long-running programme.
She tweeted: “HAPPY 60 BLUE PETER! 24 years ago, I landed the best job on the planet! 6 years of incredible adventures, extreme challenges and drawing attention to the things that mattered became a life-changing experience and I’ll be forever grateful for it! #BluePeter60 #BluePeter (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Holderness is “petrified” of dementia.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ actress is worried about getting the syndrome – which is caused by damage to a person’s brain cells, and leads to thinking and memory issues – like her mum, and praised her pal Dame Barbara Windsor, who has dementia-causing Alzheimer’s disease, for being “so brave” to recently speak out about the issue.
She said: “I am petrified of getting dementia – I lost my mum to it in 2006.
“Barbara is at that next stage of her illness and it’s so brave of her to speak out.
“I love her and I can’t believe she has this ghastly thing affecting her.”
Sue – who is famous for playing Marlene Boyce in the legendary BBC sitcom – recalls her 81-year-old pal Barbara, who she shared an agent with, as being as “sharp as a razor” while learning scripts in the past.
And the 69-year-old actress admits she does “struggle” with names now and again.
She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I used to have a photographic memory but now I struggle.”
Last week, Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell revealed the former ‘Carry On’ star – who was diagnosed in 2014 – forgot who he was “two weeks ago”.
He said: “When Barbara first got this diagnosis my big fear was always, ‘What if one day she looks at me and doesn’t know who I am?’
“And that kind of haunted me, and two weeks ago, you know, that reality came.
“It was only brief, I was just helping her, she’d got out of the bath and she looked at me and was suddenly apprehensive, her eyes went blank and she went, ‘Sorry, who are you?’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya has been named Tommy Hilfiger’s new global women’s ambassador.
The 22-year-old actress feels “empowered” to have been chosen to represent the American brand and as well as being the face of brand’s global campaign from spring 2019, she is also creating a Tommy x Zendaya capsule collection which will be available from next February for one season.
Speaking to WWD about the collaboration, Zendaya said: “Fashion is more than just wearing cool clothes. It’s a way to celebrate self-expression and individuality, which is extremely empowering. This is why I am proud to partner with Tommy Hilfiger.”
Hilfiger has previously collaborated with Gigi Hadid on four hugely successful limited edition collections and now the designer has confessed he is excited to work with Zendaya because she has become a “global icon” with her starring roles in films such as ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘The Greatest Showman’.
Speaking to WWD, Tommy said: “I love to collaborate with people who are passionate about making their dreams a reality and who inspire the next generation to do the same. Zendaya has become a global icon, using fashion to make bold statements while always staying true to herself. Zendaya is known for her “bold statements” and previously admitted the “whole point of fashion” is to divide opinion, especially when she works with her long-time stylist Law Roach.
In a previous interview with Vogue, she said: “The whole point of fashion is to be polarising. Not everybody is going to like it, and not everybody is going to hate it. It’s supposed to be a discussion. If you don’t like it, that’s fine … I think it’s an emotional thing. There’s always a reference to a time period, or a specific person or era. OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh planned to do a “really sexy duvet set” with Katya Jones – before their kiss was exposed.
The comedian and the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional – who were recently pictured smooching during a night out, despite both being in relationships – previously joked about bringing out a duvet cover featuring himself wearing “tight shorts” with no top on, or a calendar.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Every year someone brings out a calendar after being on the show.
“I think Katya and I should do a really sexy DreamCurls duvet set. I will get my top off. Katya can keep her clothes on. But I can be lying topless in tight shorts beside her as a duvet cover.
“We can do lots of things. I’d love a calendar. Or we can be a screen saver or on phone cases.”
Seann – who was dumped by his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries after five years, following the emergence of the Katya kiss photos – spoke of the plan before he was caught smooching the ‘Strictly’ pro, who is married to fellow dancer Neil Jones.
The comedian is said to have insisted that he apologised “face-to-face” to his former girlfriend, despite failing to mention her name during his and Katya’s appearance on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ after their kiss was exposed.
A source said: “Seann has apologised on TV for his actions and insists he apologised to Rebecca face-to-face and tried to contact her again later in the week after she put out her statement to say sorry again.”
Seann insists he is not the person he’s been portrayed to be following his split from Rebecca, and claims the smooch was a “huge mistake”.
He explained: “I think that, obviously I’m sorry for the hurt that I’ve caused.
“We were getting on well, we were having fun. We had a couple of drinks and made a huge mistake and I regret it deeply.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong were granted a divorce in less than 30 seconds.
Judge Alun Jenkins gave the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ co-host – who has taken time out of the spotlight in recent months following a drink-driving conviction – and the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ make-up artist a decree nisi at London’s Central Family Court earlier today (16.10.18).
The divorce will be finalised in six weeks with a decree absolute confirming the end of the pair’s marriage should there be no formal objections.
Ant and Lisa – who met at a Newcastle roadshow in 1990 – confirmed their break-up in January after being married for 11 years, and together for 24 years.
A rep for the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ co-host said at the time: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.”
Ant went to rehab in 2017 due to a painkillers addiction, and he returned to a private facility this year after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
In August, the TV presenter confirmed he will not present ‘I’m A Celebrity’ alongside his sidekick Declan Donnelly later this year.
He said in a statement: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.
“I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”
Dec added: “Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision.
“I’m looking forward to us both being reunited on screen in 2019.”
Holly Willoughby will replace Ant on the Australian jungle-based show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has showed off a new giant floral tattoo on his head.
The former One Direction star has an extensive collection of inkings – more than 60 to be precise – and on Tuesday (16.10.18) the 25-year-old singer shared his latest addition, which covers one side of his shaven head, with his 29.8 million Instagram followers.
The ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ hitmaker’s latest body art follows the rose he had on the back of his head, which came after he split with Gigi Hadid.
He also had the model’s eyes inked on his chest when they started dating.
Other pieces include a revolver handgun on his left hip, a huge snake on his right shoulder and a tiger on his upper left arm.
The singer got a tattoo tribute to his ex-fiancée, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, on his right arm in 2013 when they were together and the inking could be seen on display in his video for ‘Pillow Talk’ – in which he is seen kissing Gigi – but it has since been covered up.
Zayn also paid homage to his debut solo LP ‘Mind of Mine’ by getting the title of the 2016 record inked on him.
He revealed at the time: “I just got a tattoo on my leg and my arm, I did them both in the same session. I got a tattoo for the album: the name of the album.”
The record was released on the anniversary of the day he made the decision to quit the world’s biggest boyband One Direction to go it alone.
And Zayn got one on his leg, which he admitted was “weird” as it features a man smoking.
He added: “The thing on my leg, it’s kind of weird, it’s an outline of a dude smoking which is pretty mega.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes will co-host ‘This Morning’ with Phillip Schofield while Holly Willoughby is presenting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The singer-turned-TV presenter is no stranger to the brunch-time show having co-hosted alongside her husband Marvin Humes and presented several fashion segments, and she is “excited” about stepping in for the 37-year-old star.
Announcing the news on today’s (16.10.18) show, Holly said: “When I disappear off to the jungle, you’re coming in to look after Phil.”
Rochelle replied: “I will, I’ll take good care of you, I promise. I’m excited that I can tell people now. There were rumours at the weekend and I didn’t reply to any of my friends. Sorry! I’m doing it! Yeah, I’m excited!”
Holly added: “Lots of speculation about who was going to come in and do this but you must be excited? You’ve done the show lots of times before.”
Rochelle said: “Yes, but never with the legend.”
Phillip is excited about co-hosting the programme alongside Rochelle while Holly joins Declan Donnelly in Australia, replacing his regular co-host and pal Ant McPartlin.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to it, it’s going to be fabulous. We’ll have a great time.”
Rochelle said: “I’ll make sure I don’t do anything naughty and there’s something to come back to!”
Phillip then left Holly shocked when he jokingly shredded her picture on the ‘This Morning’ studio wall.
Holly has already had an ‘I’m A Celebrity’ rehearsal, and practiced shouting out Ant and Dec’s famous jungle phrase, “I’m a celebrity … get me out of here”, which they do during the intro of each episode.
She explained: “It’s getting real now. I had a meeting yesterday with the whole ‘I’m A Celeb’ team. We had a bit of a kind of read through of a fake show to get used to things. I did my first ‘I’m a celebrity … get me out of here [yell],’ in a meeting room, without the echo.
“I learned, which I didn’t realise, that only one of them says, ‘I’m a celebrity’, and then they both say, ‘get me out of here.’ So you only join in halfway through depending on who’s got the line before. I thought they both did it.”
Holly confirmed in August that she would be joining forces with Dec to co-host the programme in the absence of Ant, who has taken time out of the spotlight after he was convicted of drink-driving earlier this year.
She said in a statement: “I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure. I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery.
“These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit. Honestly, I’m a huge fan of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ and actually feel like I’ve won a competition to go and hang out on my favourite show. When is it a good time to tell Dec I’m scared of everything that moves.”
Dec added: “I am hugely grateful to Holly for agreeing to accompany me to Australia this year.
“She was at the top of my list and I’m thrilled she said yes. It will be a different kind of series but we will try our best to ensure it is no less fun and eventful for our loyal viewers.
“I am also pleased to hear Holly is scared of everything. I am almost stupidly excited at the thought of watching her during the eating trials.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Right Said Fred are hurt after being snubbed by Sir Mick Jagger.
The group’s Richard Fairbrass has recalled how unimpressed he was when the Rolling Stones legend – who they used to be pals with – ignored them at a restaurant.
He said: “We sat next to him in a restaurant and he ignored us. We said, ‘Hey’ and he ignored us, which was rude. We played guitar and bass with him. He is a wonderful frontman but maybe he was having a bad day.”
The band recently worked with Taylor Swift’s team on her hit track ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, which samples their song ‘I’m Too Sexy’, but they don’t envision becoming friends with the pop superstar any time soon.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “We’re only allowed to speak to her through her people. We do – and they’ve been very nice.”
When ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ was released, the group said couldn’t be more thrilled with her inventive interpolation, as they said they were “honoured” to be a part of the track and took the time to thank the blonde beauty and her team for “being absolutely wonderful”.
In a statement posted to their website, the band said: “We’re very pleased to hear Taylor Swift’s interpolation of our 1991 hit ‘I’m Too Sexy’. Taylor and her team reached out to us about the track, we like what she does and we were very honoured to have her interpolation feature on her new single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’. OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has hit back at “mom shammers” for accusing her of giving her two-year-old son Saint a dummy.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star pointed out in the caption of the Instagram snap of her with her young son and nine-month-old daughter Chicago that the tot was in fact sucking on a lollipop in the shape of a dummy – not a real one.
Alongside the photo of three of them in New York on Tuesday (16.10.18), the 37-year-old reality star wrote: “Missing my babies!!!!! P.S. mom shammers it’s not a pacifier, he’s eating candy! (sic)”
Many of Kim’s loyal following jumped to defend the brunette beauty.
One commented: “She should be able to post the picture of her children and not have to panic and defend herself on how she wants to parent.”
Meanwhile, Kim’s husband Kanye West – with whom she also has five-year-old daughter North West – is currently in Uganda working on his new album ‘Yandhi’, and on Monday (15.10.18) he gifted the country’s president a pair of Yeezys.
The 41-year-old rapper and Kim met with President Yoweri K. Museveni, during their trip to Africa to discuss “tourism and the arts” and before they ended their brief meeting, they signed a pair of white sneakers for the leader.
The President of Uganda tweeted: “I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts.
“I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa (sic)”
The ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker surprised fans when he posted an impromptu performance from Uganda on his Twitter account over the weekend.
The controversial rap star returned to the micro-blogging platform over the weekend and posted a lengthy video of himself rapping while wrapped in the Ugandan flag.
Kanye captioned the video “Spaceship call earth 3 Uganda Domes. (sic)”
In the video, the ‘Famous’ hitmaker quoted a line from the iconic rap group EPMD, saying: “Relax your mind / Let your conscious be free.”
He continued: “No matter what they say / I’ma still be me / We’re free / We’re free.”
The chart-topping star also delivered some freestyle verses and revealed he was going to “Africa” to hear “nature” whilst he was in the studio.
He said: “We have to go to what is known as Africa.
“I just need to go and find out what it’s really called and grab the soil and cook five meals a day so the metabolism stays up and have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we’re recording.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow says having a “satisfying sex life” is important.
The Goop co-founder – who tied the knot with TV writer Brad Falchuk in The Hamptons last month – has opened up about shining a lot on female sexuality and how empowering and “healthy” it is to partake in and openly discuss love-making.
She told the digital edition of GLAMOUR: “Women, I think have a lot of shame around their sexuality – we have been conditioned that way for a long time. We feel if we open up conversations, sell a product and we shine a light on it, the shame starts to dissipate…”
When asked about selling products like vaginal eggs through her lifestyle platform and how “you can’t put a price on a good orgasm”, the ‘Shallow Hal’ actress replied: “No, definitely not. Women should have a great and satisfying sex life!
“I think that sexual health is important for a women’s overall health.”
Gwyneth – who has Apple, 14, and Moses, 12, with first husband Chris Martin – said she is feeling “fantastic” after marrying Brad, 47, and while she admits she it feels different getting married in her 40s, she finds it very “heartening” and is feeling extremely positive.
She told the publication: “It’s fantastic. I feel so lucky and I am so grateful.
“It’s different to be in your mid-40s; you do it again and bring all your experience, your pain, your happiness, suffering – everything. It’s actually very heartening, I feel very optimistic!”
Goop is worth around $250 million dollars, and Gwyneth refers to herself as a “girl boss” for leading a brand and says she is proud of being able to employ fellow females.
She said: “I am trying. I think I am very much a girl boss, meaning that I try to lead from my feminine.
“For me, what that means is leading from a place of collaboration and consideration to very much keep that flow of energy going through everything.
“All start-ups are inherently feminine because it’s creative, it’s collaborative, it’s feelings – and as you grow, they get more masculine and more orientated to masculine processes and PNLs and patriarchy.
“That is also necessary, but I think it’s important to find the right balance. I love being a woman leader and I love employing mostly women – it’s amazing to see women win.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have received their first baby gifts since announcing their pregnancy news.
The royal couple – who tied the knot in May this year – revealed on Monday (15.10.18) they are expecting their first child together in Spring next year, and they have already been gifted some adorable presents for their unborn tot.
Whilst attending a welcome reception at Admiralty House in Sydney, Australia, the couple were handed a fluffy stuffed kangaroo and fleece Ugg baby booties by the Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove.
In People magazine’s Facebook Live video, Duchess Meghan – who was known as Meghan Markle before getting married – said: “That’s so cute, it’s our first baby gift!”
Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, revealed their baby news through a statement shared on social media by Kensington Palace, which said the happy couple were “delighted” to be able to share the exciting news with the public.
The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
The couple will no doubt receive a host of presents in the coming month, not least from Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, who is said to be “very happy” about becoming a grandmother.
Another statement from Kensington Palace read: “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
As of the time of writing, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle has yet to comment on her pregnancy, after a recent string of scathing interviews – in which Thomas claimed Meghan would be “nothing” without him – has caused tension between the pair.

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Markle hopes Duchess Meghan’s pregnancy can draw a line over their family problems.
The outspoken actress has been a vocal critic of her half-sister but insists she wishes her well following the news she and her husband Prince Harry are expecting their first child together.
She told The Sun newspaper: “It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear. I want Meghan to be happy and calm and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive.”
However, Samantha was upset that their father, Thomas Markle, wasn’t included in Kensington Palace’s official statement announcing the happy news, even though the former ‘Suits’ star’s mother, Doria Ragland, was mentioned, and she hopes the snub was unintentional and the retired lighting director – who hasn’t seen his daughter since before her wedding in May – will be involved in his grandchild’s life.
She added: “I would hope that — for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad — that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional.
“I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won’t be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included.
“A baby changes everything and softens everyone. I would only hope that there would be some adjustment or some way of including him.”
And Samantha has called for the 37-year-old duchess and her 33-year-old spouse to move towards a reconciliation with Thomas – who missed their wedding after undergoing heart surgery – and have a proper discussion about the difficulties between them.
She added: “I think we all have to safeguard against any negative or hurt feelings and just work towards a positive joyous new life in the world.
“At a proper time, there should be a sit-down wherein everyone can address this properly. Everything has to work itself out. I want to allow Meg and Harry to bring my dad into it in their own appropriate time because they very well should do. Although I can still say I love my sister, I wasn’t happy with the way my father was being treated.
“But, you know, we’re also seeing now that there was a lot going on — there may have been a lot of stress.
“I’m not saying that’s an excuse for not communicating with my dad, but maybe she wanted to wait until the exact right moment. I don’t want Meg to feel any stress and I want my dad to feel happy and I think all things will come full circle.”
Meanwhile, Thomas – who was said to have embarrassed his daughter and Harry after being paid to stage paparazzi photographs before their wedding – is said to be “absolutely delighted” with the news of Meghan’s pregnancy.
A source said: “Thomas is absolutely delighted. He heard the news before it was made public and was overjoyed. He thinks Meghan will make a great mum as she is already so maternal.
“Thomas sees this as a chance to fix the problems between him, Meghan and Harry. He is desperate to be there for his grandchild and wants to play an active role in their life.”
