OHMYGOSSIP — Woody Allen will “always” be a writer.
The 82-year-old filmmaker has seen a number of stars voice their regret at working with him or insisting they never would following the accusations of abuse levelled at him by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, but the ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ director insists the backlash won’t force him into retirement.
Asked what he’ll do if bad publicity grows stronger and more actors refuse to work with him, he told the New York Post newspaper: “I’m a writer. It’s what I am. What I do. What I always will be. I’ll write. Since I continually have ideas it’ll be new ideas and I’ll write new things.”
Woody’s comments come after he was recently defended by Javier Bardem, who criticised the “public lynching” of the veteran director.
He said: “At the time I did ‘Vicky Christina Barcelona’, the allegations were already well known for more than 10 years, and two states in the U.S. deemed he was not guilty.
“If the legal situation ever changes, then I’d change my mind. But for now I don’t agree with the public lynching that he’s been receiving, and if Woody Allen called me to work with him again I’d be there tomorrow morning. He’s a genius.”
This isn’t the first time the ‘No Country For Old Men’ actor has defended the director.
Speaking after Colin Firth vowed never to work with him again, while
Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Hall pledged to donate their salaries from Allen’s movie ‘A Rainy Day in New York’ to the Time’s Up initiative, Javier admitted he had been “shocked” by Hollywood’s response.
He said: “I am very shocked by this sudden treatment.
“Judgements in the states of New York and Connecticut have cleared him. The legal situation today is the same as in 2007.
“If there was evidence that Woody Allen is guilty, yes, I would stop shooting with him, but I doubt it.”
And Javier – who has children Leo, seven, and Luna, five, with wife Penelope Cruz – isn’t the only star to defend the ‘Annie Hall’ director.
Alec Baldwin has branded his treatment “unfair and sad”, while his former partner Diane Keaton took to Twitter to support her former partner.
She posted in January: “Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa has revealed that Chris Martin “danced around the room” to her track ‘New Rules’ when he first heard it.
The ‘Electricity’ hitmaker has opened up on how her “surreal” meeting with Coldplay frontman Chris led to their collaboration on the 2017 track ‘Homesick’, and Dua admits that she got star-struck when he started “playing the piano” at a studio in Malibu and then was blown away by his reaction to her music.
Speaking to Billboard, Dua said: “So I sent some unreleased tracks from my album and I get an email going, ‘Oh, Chris really likes your stuff why don’t you pop down to as studio in Malibu.
“I played him everything I had and I watched [Martin] dancing around the room, writing down the titles of songs, just listening to everything and being really attentive and that was pretty surreal.
“He really likes ‘New Rules’ and I had lots of my notes either on my phone and or on my laptop, and he was looking at stuff I was writing and he could see on the side I had, ‘Album two ideas,’ and ‘Album three ideas’.
“He goes, ‘Why don’t I write another one for your album?’ And I was like, ‘What right now?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah let’s do it, why not?’
“So he got on the piano and started playing and I was like, ‘Oh my god this is Coldplay’, and we sat down and we had the idea of the title.”
The chart topper – who is dating British model Isaac Carew – admitted the song is about her love of “London” and the “rain”, especially when she is “somewhere hot” or travelling overseas.
Dua, 23, said: “When I’m travelling so much, and I’m so far away from London, and especially when I spend a lot of time in really hot places where the sun’s shining and the weather’s amazing, I always miss home and I always miss the rain.
“It’s only when it rains in LA, when I go, ‘Oh, this is what London feels like and this is the part where I love it the most because I feel like there’s a tiny bit of home that I get to carry with me every time that it rains.’
“The whole song is really about the sacrifice that you make spending so much time away from all your loved ones and your friends and your family to live your dream and do what you love.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Laverne Cox didn’t want to date Kyle Draper because he wasn’t tall enough.
The ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress has been dating the record company boss for a year and though they had a “connection”, she was hesitant about getting involved with him because she preferred to be with guys who made her feel “demure and feminine”.
She admitted: “f I’m being really real, it was about my ego.
“When I dated men who were taller than me, it made me feel demure, it made me feel more feminine and all that stuff. None of that is about a real connection with someone. It’s about how we might look together in a photo, about superficial s**t.”
Laverne admitted her feelings about height stemmed from not feeling comfortable with herself and being told she was unattractive, but now she is happy to own the fact she is “sexy” and doesn’t listen to the negativity.
She told Self magazine: “I wanted a man to validate my womanhood or validate that I’m attractive…I’m not buying it anymore. I’m not buying into that, I’m not having it.
“I’m sexy and I’m going to own that because I think trans women…are sexy. A lot of us are sexy not despite our transness, but because of our transness. That’s just the truth.”
Laverne has faced criticism for dating a white guy but the 46-year-old star insisted she would never “limit” herself and is just interested in making a “connection” with someone.
She said: “It’s rough out there when you’re a black woman. And then you add being trans to that, girl, you can’t be limited. I don’t think you should limit yourself.
“I’m going where it’s warm and I’m going where there’s a connection. That’s not about race, you know?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen Pompeo is determined to make sure her son knows it’s okay to “show emotions”.
The 48-year-old actress has 21-month-old son Eli Christopher with her husband Chris Ivery, and has said she is tired of boys being told to “be tough” and “to not cry”, because she thinks all it does is create men with “fragile egos”.
She said: “We raise our sons to be tough, to not cry, and not show emotion and what that does to men is creates fragile egos and then we have to spend the rest of our lives taking care of these fragile egos we created … We need to teach our boys and raise our young sons to show emotions.”
The ‘Daredevil’ star also has daughters Stella, nine, and Sienna, four, with her spouse – whom she married in 2007 – added that it’s down to mothers everywhere to raise their sons to show emotion, so that their daughters don’t “suffer the way we did”.
Speaking to ‘Access Hollywood’ during an appearance at Marie Claire’s Power Trip 2018 on Thursday (18.10.18), she said: “We have work to do ladies. We have a whole generation of young girls we have to make sure don’t suffer the way we did. This is our job. This is our work. And I’m so here for it.”
Meanwhile, Ellen is already working on raising her daughters to be strong women, as her eldest child is keen to become a doctor after watching her mother on the set of medical drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
She said: “Every time she comes to set the first thing she wants to do is … Linda Klein is our medical producer, wonderful woman, good friend of mine … she just wants to go straight to Linda’s office and play with all the medical things. All the fake organs.
“Yesterday I went in to find her, I couldn’t find her, she was in Linda’s office with Linda with a bone drill, drilling a fake femur bone with a real bone drill.
“I mean she was supervised, but you know they have her doing advanced procedures.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonah Hill wanted to be a rapper.
The 34-year-old actor is known now for his roles in comedy movies such as ‘Superbad’ and ‘Knocked Up’, but has revealed he never wanted to be an actor when he was younger, as he instead had his sights set on making music.
When asked if he had ever considered a career as a rapper, Jonah said: “Of course I did. This is an exclusive. I didn’t have an emcee name, but I made a lot of beats. … This is very embarrassing – it was Spindrome. Like syndrome, but spin. It was wack, dude.
“I’m not a good emcee or a good producer – I mean I kind of made fire beats – but I still had an MPC [drum machine] and was making beats for six years.”
The ‘Maniac’ actor spoke as he gears up for his directorial debut on ‘Mid90s’, a movie about a boy named Stevie growing up in the 1990s who escapes his troubled home by falling in with a group of young skateboarders.
Rap music is featured heavily in the movie, and Jonah says it was important to him that the genre was treated with respect.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Breakfast Club’ with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne tha God, Jonah said: “Hip-hop, like skateboarding, is always misrepresented in film. It’s always shown – people driving through the hood or popping champagne – as some exploitative dumb stereotype. And for me it was it was very important to make an elegant, honest, emotional film, that showed hip-hop as what it is for me, which is the emotional backbone of my childhood.”
Meanwhile, although Jonah found fame as a Hollywood star, he previously said he didn’t think he was “good” at being a celebrity, but added he’s “proud” to be bad because it means he isn’t “fake”.
He said: “I’m just not good at being famous. I’m proudly not good at it.
“Because to be good at being famous you have to be fake and full of s**t. I don’t know if I want to be better at that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West learned the value of “privacy” through her marriage to Kanye West.
The 37-year-old reality star tied the knot with the rapper – with whom she has North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, eight months – in 2014, and has said that before she met Kanye, her whole life revolved around being in the spotlight.
She said: “We would get our hair and makeup done after we filmed the show. Then it was like, ‘I was like what is the hottest restaurant in Hollywood? Where can I go? Where can I be seen? Who is there? What are they doing? Who is there?'”
But when she met the ‘Heartless’ rapper, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star says her perspective changed and he taught her how to value her private life, as he likes to keep to himself when he isn’t working.
Speaking to Alec Baldwin on his ‘The Alec Baldwin Show’, Kim said: “It started with Kanye. His work life is very public, but then when he was off, he was very private. I was – everything had to be public for me back then.
“Now it’s, where can I go on vacation where nobody will see us? All I want is privacy. I never thought that I would be at that point.”
Despite their close bond, it was recently claimed Kim doesn’t always agree with her outspoken spouse, but will only challenge his opinions behind closed doors.
A source said: “She lets him take the lead, and she never disagrees with him publicly.
“She has decided that’s the right move, but she isn’t scared to share her disagreements with him behind closed doors.

OHMYGOSSIP — Maggie Gyllenhaal has helped launch an all-new speaker series called ‘Behind The Scenes’ – which aims to celebrate indie film.
The 40-year-old actress has teamed up with Autograph Collection Hotels to launch the new series – which will shed light on inspirational industry insiders from the world of independent film – whilst at London Film Festival on Wednesday (17.10.18).
Maggie’s role as host at the project’s premiere comes after she was announced as Independent Film Advisor to Autograph a Collection Hotels’ ‘Indie Film Project’, which supports the art of storytelling by showcasing today’s most talented industry professionals working in independent film.
John Licence, Vice President for Premium and Select Brands, Europe at Marriott International said: “We are excited to provide another platform for untold stories from behind the camera that will inspire, engage and connect us; and there is no more fitting talent to lead the conversation than Maggie Gyllenhaal. ‘Behind The Scenes’ celebrates individuality, diversity and the art of storytelling within independent film, values that are integral to Autograph Collection and each of our one-of-a-kind hotels around the world.”
The ‘Behind The Scenes’ series was hosted by film critic Mark Kermode, and the debut event with ‘Donnie Darko’ star Maggie saw her discuss a range of topics about her work in independent film, including her breakout role in 2002 romantic comedy drama, ‘Secretary to Crazy Heart’, for which she received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination in 2010.
The series talks will take place in London every quarter throughout 2018 and into 2019, and will be free and open to the public.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell has slammed critics who hit out at her for warning her daughters against some of the themes in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’.
The ‘Frozen’ star – who voiced Princess Anna of Arendelle in the Disney movie – reads the fairytale to her two girls, Lincoln, five, and Delta, three, often, and recently revealed she makes sure to warn them not to follow in Snow White’s footsteps and accept food from strangers, or let people kiss them when they’re sleeping.
After her comments surfaced, several people took to Twitter to slam her for blaming Disney for “people not understanding consent”, and in response, the 38-year-old beauty said she was simply trying to teach her brood – whom she has with husband Dax Shepard – about “critical thinking and respectful behaviour”.
When one Twitter user said: “Is it really that serious… it’s a animated kids movie. Not everything needs a message and has to teach you how to raise your children. It’s enjoyment sheesh (sic)”
Kristen replied: “actually, everything IS a message to our children, because they are sponges that soak up everything and are learning how to be adults through what they see. I want my girls to see and practice critical thinking and respectful behaviour (sic).”
The blonde beauty had originally claimed that she always tells her daughters about the dangers of some of the topics highlighted in the fairytale.
She said: “Every time we close ‘Snow White’, I look at my girls and ask, ‘Don’t you think it’s weird that Snow White didn’t ask the old witch why she needed to eat the apple? Or where she got that apple?’.
“I say, ‘I would never take food from a stranger, would you?’ And my kids are like, ‘No!’ And I’m like, ‘Ok, I’m doing something right’.
“Don’t you think that it’s weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission? Because you can not kiss someone if they’re sleeping!”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Stamos’ six-month-old son is “ruining” his sex life.
The 55-year-old actor became a father for the first time six months ago when his wife Caitlin McHugh gave birth to their son Billy, and although the happy new parents are keen to give their tot a sibling, John has admitted they’re having difficulties because Billy keeps killing the mood.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Live! With Kelly and Ryan’ on Thursday (18.10.18), John said: “We are trying, but the kid is like a c-block. Can I say that?
“We try to do it fast, and start hearing this ‘wah wah.’ He screeches like ‘Saved by the Bell’ and that ruined the mood.
“We were so close and he’s got this elephant, and he learned how to press it, and it starts singing, ‘Do your ears hang low?'”
Despite the inconvenience to his sex life, the ‘Fuller House’ star couldn’t be happier since becoming a father, as he recently said having the little one around is “giving him life”.
He said: “I was with him all morning this morning and we just sat and played music. [Being a father] is everything. It’s giving me life. I don’t know what I would have done without having a baby and a wife right now. I would have fizzled away into the sunset.”
Meanwhile, Caitlin – who married John in February – revealed in May that she and her spouse are already looking to expand their brood.
She said: “Right now, Billy is extremely spoiled and we need to share the love, he’s gotta share some of those toys and all the things that have been given to him. He needs [siblings] to keep him grounded. If he’s the only one, he’ll get way too much love because there hasn’t been a child on either side of our family in quite some time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Thorne feels “mad” at herself for not doing anything to stop her alleged abuser.
The 21-year-old actress claimed last year that she had been sexually abused by an older man in her home for several years, and has now said she still feels guilty that she never reported the alleged actions, and instead just “laid there, comatose” whilst the abuse took place.
She said: “I always think, ‘Maybe you could have done something.’ It kind of makes me mad, because I read these stories that are really awful – I mean, really awful … it’s really something getting ripped and taken from you. At least those girls tried. I just laid there, comatose.”
In December last year, the former Disney star replied to a fan on Twitter who jokingly said: “What did Disney do this girl?! I think she was molested,” by telling them that she had in fact been abused in her childhood, and said she thinks her childhood trauma explains why she’s “dying on the inside”.
She added: “I used to think of myself like Marilyn Monroe a little bit. Everyone thought Marilyn Monroe was this sex symbol and she was always perfect and beautiful, but she was dying on the inside. I go back to that tweet, and maybe, in some [messed] up way, it’s right. Maybe I am this way because I was molested and raped when I was younger.”
Despite her alleged abuse, the ‘Famous in Love’ actress – whose father passed away when she was just nine years old – says she’s now happy with her life.
Speaking to the LA Times, she said: “I like my life. All of the things that are awful – especially all of the things that happened growing up – I’ve always looked at it as: ‘Why me?’ Because I am strong enough. Because it has gotten me here. I don’t even know what Bella Thorne would look like if she hadn’t been molested growing up, or her father hadn’t died. I don’t know that I like that girl.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner has slammed TMZ for “putting her life in danger” after it was reported her alleged stalker was arrested at her home.
The 22-year-old model took to social media on Thursday (18.10.18) to slam the news outlet after it reported that a man named John Ford had been taken into police custody after he was found sitting outside her house for the second time in a week.
Kendall accused the publication of posting pictures of her home and sharing her location, making it easier for “terrifying people” to find her address.
Quoting the link to TMZ’s story, Kendall wrote on Twitter: “and how do you guys think these terrifying people know where my house is? cuz you release not only photos but my location. it is so beyond unsafe. is this not our one ounce of privacy we can get??? ….
“i understand what i’ve signed up for but when you release the exact location to where i live THAT is when you’re putting my life in danger. your home is your safe haven, but for me, cuz of outlets like you, my home is anything BUT. you should be ashamed of yourself. (sic)”
Her scathing comments come after 37-year-old John – who was arrested last month for breaking into a gated community which has been home to the likes of the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star, Britney Spears, Slash, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen – scaled the mountainside at the back of the complex last week, where there is no security, and was spotted by Kendall’s team sitting in her backyard by her pool.
Police were called but Ford had gone before they arrived, and on Tuesday (16.10.18), the man allegedly came back and got in via the unsecured mountainside again and was spotted by security on Kendall’s front porch.
This time, police arrived and arrested Ford, who is now being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold and has been charged with criminal trespass and violating a protective order.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham has closed her Lenny Letter website.
The 32-year-old actress launched the feminist-leaning site in 2015 with her longtime collaborator Jenni Konner, but it has now been revealed that on Friday (19.10.18) the site will be taken down for good.
According to The New York Post, Lenny Letter employees were informed of the closure last week, and writers were told they would be receiving “kill fees”, which is compensation for articles that have not yet been published.
The shut down of the site – which offered articles on health, style, politics, friendship, and other problems faced by women – reportedly comes after it suffered “plunging readership” in recent months, with only half of its 500,000 subscribers clicking on newsletters that were sent to their email addresses.
The ‘Girls’ creator had used the site to share a number of her personal struggles, including speaking candidly about her battle with endometriosis, as well as her recent fight with rosacea – which left her face covered in “tiny pimple-blisters”.
She wrote about the common skin condition: “A few weeks ago, a course of steroids to treat a massive flare of joint pain and instability led to rosacea’s appearing overnight, making me look like a scary Victorian doll, two perfect pink circles painted on her porcelain face. ‘It’s actually pretty cute,’ my mom said. ‘Very ’90s editorial fashion!’
“Then, after a long, sweaty night shoot in which I was covered in strange makeup, I washed my face to reveal that the rosacea had become hundreds of tiny pimple-blisters that covered me from forehead to neck. The sound that came from that hair and makeup trailer was similar to when the b***h in the ‘Craft’ starts losing her hair in the locker room. Terror, rage, and piteous sadness. My face burned, but not as badly as my pride.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne was “in bed for f***ing two years” whilst fighting Lyme disease.
The ‘Complicated’ hitmaker has been struggling with the debilitating condition since she began feeling the symptoms during her 2014 tour, and says the disease left her bedridden for two years, because it went “undiagnosed for so long”.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, she said: “I was in bed for f***ing two years. It’s a bug – a spirochete – so you take these antibiotics, and they start killing it. But it’s a smart bug: It morphs into a cystic form, so you have to take other antibiotics at the same time. It went undiagnosed for so long that I was kind of f***ed.”
Avril, 34, revealed she first went to doctors about her health when she was left feeling “achy and fatigued”, but multiple health care professionals were unable to find a cure after having misdiagnosed her.
She says a friend then told her she could have Lyme disease, which prompted her to put a phone call in to former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Yolanda Hadid – who has been open about her own battle with the disease, which her daughter Bella Hadid also has – who gave her the number for a specialist to help her get treated.
Previously, Avril claimed she had “accepted death” when she was bedridden with the disease, and her new single ‘Head Above Water’ – which was released last month – was written during that time.
She wrote in a note on her website: “I spent the last few years at home sick fighting Lyme Disease. Those were the worst years of my life as I went through both physical and emotional battles…
“Thank you for waiting so patiently as I fought through and still continue to fight, the battle of my lifetime. The first song I am choosing to release is called ‘Head Above Water’.
“It is also the first song I wrote from my bed during one of the scariest moments of my life. I had accepted death and could feel my body shutting down. I felt like I was drowning. Like I was going under water and I just needed to come up for air. Like I was in a river being pulled in a current. Unable to breathe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner’s alleged stalker has been released from police custody – only to be arrested again hours later.
John Ford was arrested on Tuesday (16.10.18) after he was found sitting outside the home of the 22-year-old model for the second time in a week, and after being released from custody a day later on Wednesday (17.10.18), he was then arrested again hours later on Thursday (18.10.18) morning.
According to TMZ, Ford was being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold, but after a psychiatrist deemed him to be mentally stable, he was released.
However, sources told the publication the LAPD then swooped in on Thursday morning to arrest Ford once again, booking him for criminal trespass and violating a restraining order.
TMZ reports he has been taken to jail, where bail was set at $30,000.
Prior to being arrested at Kendall’s home, Ford was arrested last month for breaking into a gated community which has been home to the likes of the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star, Britney Spears, Slash, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen, but it has been claimed that when he was arrested on Thursday, he wasn’t at the same location.
Last week, 37-year-old Ford scaled the mountainside at the back of the complex where there is no security, and was spotted by Kendall’s team sitting in her backyard by her pool.
Police were called at the time but Ford had gone by the time they arrived, and so no arrest was made until he was spotted once again on Kendall’s front porch on Tuesday.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande’s family are “definitely worried about her” following her split from Pete Davidson.
The 25-year-old singer and the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star called off their engagement after Ariana was left “emotionally unavailable” following the tragic death of her former boyfriend Mac Miller, and although she’s keeping herself busy with her work, her loved ones are said to be concerned.
A source said: “She’s staying strong and focusing on work right now, but her friends and family are definitely worried about her.”
The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ hitmaker returned to work this week to perform ‘The Wizard and I’ during a taping of NBC’s ‘Wicked’ 15th anniversary special which will air later this month, marking the first time she had been spotted since her split from 24-year-old Pete.
During the event, Ariana was without her engagement ring, and had also covered up the “Pete” tattoo she has on her finger.
And despite their split – which comes five months after they became engaged following just weeks of dating – sources believe the pair could reconcile once Ariana has had time to heal.
The source told People magazine: “Ariana’s been through a lot and emotionally things have been so up and down for her this year.
“[The split has] been really hard for both of them. They’re very unpredictable. It’s over for now but in a few days it wouldn’t be shocking to see them all over each other again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Karlie Kloss has married Joshua Kushner.
The 26-year-old model took to Instagram and Twitter to confirm the pair have wed by sharing a picture from their big day, which features her in a white lace Dior wedding dress while holding a bouquet, and the 33-year-old businessman looking dapper in a black suit.
She simply captioned the snap: “10.18.2018”
The couple held a Jewish ceremony in New York with less than 80 people in attendance, and they are expected to have a larger event for friends and family next year.
A friend who attended told PEOPLE: “The wedding was intimate and moving. The couple were beaming with happiness.”
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel and the entrepreneur – who met at a dinner party in 2012 – announced their engagement in July, weeks after Joshua had popped the question in the Big Apple.
A source said at the time: “They’re both overjoyed and happily celebrating. Their hearts are full and they’re excited to build their future together.”
Karlie recently admitted she took inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex, who wed Prince Harry earlier this year, when picking out her wedding gown.
She said: “She looked gorgeous on her wedding day. I feel it’s a day that you want to just feel happy, beautiful, and not stressed. I think what makes someone most beautiful, especially on their wedding day, is when that glow comes from the inside.
“I’m still kind of enjoying the engagement bliss, but I’m definitely somebody who opts for ‘less is more’ when it comes to beauty. I love a strong lip or a strong eye, but I would want to keep it more natural. For hair, an updo is pretty logical. Get it out the way, so you can dance and have a good time.”
