Claire Foy dislikes ‘strong women’ term

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy dislikes the term “strong women” – because she thinks it was designed to make women seem “more acceptable in a male world”.
The 34-year-old actress has insisted that all women should be viewed as “strong”, and says she isn’t interested in portraying roles in films that other people deem to be strong, because she thinks the term puts a divide between different kinds of women.
Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, she said: “I have absolutely no interest in portraying what other people think of as strong. It’s a way of making women more acceptable in a male world.
“I am just not on board with that. I don’t think women are crying out to see strong women. I think we know we are all strong but we’re just crying out to see women on screen at all!”
Claire was seen as a “strong woman” earlier this year when she spoke candidly about how she felt “deeply hurt” by the gender pay gap she suffered when she starred in Netflix series ‘The Crown’ alongside Matt Smith.
The beauty held the lead role as Queen Elizabeth II, but was paid significantly less than her male co-star, who had a lesser role as the Queen’s husband Prince Philip.
She said: “I was deeply hurt by it, because I’d been working on that show for two years. I loved everybody on it. And then I realised, there’s been a big, fat, dirty secret that nobody’s ever talked about. But then there was also that thing [of being] an inadvertent spokesperson. Why did it have to be me? I could have said nothing. And I think everyone would have preferred that. But I thought, if I do that, I will be cheating myself and all the other women I know.”
Matt – who was said to be paid more because of his previous high profile role as the titular time lord in sci-fi show ‘Doctor Who’ – previously broke his silence on the issue to condemn the pay gap.
He said at the time: “Claire is one of my best friends, and I believe that we should be paid equally and fairly and there should be equality for all. I support her completely, and I’m pleased that it was resolved and they made amends for it, because that what’s needed to happen. Going forward, I think we should all bear in mind that we need to strive to make this better and a more even playing field for everyone involved – but not just in our industry, in all industries.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus wants affordable health care

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared her cancer battle story in order to push for affordable health care.
The 57-year-old actress went public with the news that she had been battling breast cancer in September 2017, and documented her several treatment sessions on Instagram for the world to see.
And now, Julia has said she decided to be open about her journey because she realised how much different the process would have been if she wasn’t privileged enough to be able to afford the hefty costs of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
She said: “I think it’s an important conversation to have about health and health care. I very much considered the notion that as someone battling this disease, the idea that I might not have health insurance, which I do thanks to my great union, is completely terrifying.
“Health care should be for all. I believed that before and now I really know it.”
Julia returned to filming on ‘Veep’ earlier this year after filming was postponed so she could undergo necessary treatment for her illness, and said once she told the cast and crew of the show what she was going through, it became easier to tell social media.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, she added: “First and foremost, we had stalled ‘Veep’ production because of my situation. A lot of people worked for me, so I knew I really couldn’t keep it private because I had to tell everybody what was going on.
“I got a lot of positive feedback. I think people liked that I had a sense of humour about it.”
Meanwhile, Julia recently said she was “grateful to be alive”.
She said: “I’m grateful to be alive. I’m grateful for my heroic husband and our lovely young boys, or young men, I should say, who are our boys. And my friends and family. I’m grateful I have the life I have.
“It’s just a joy to do what you want to do and have success with it. That’s happened to me in my life and it doesn’t happen to everybody. I’m well aware I’ve had a great deal of good fortune.”

Spandau Ballet want to release new music

OHMYGOSSIP — Spandau Ballet hope to release “new music” in the near future.
The 80s pop band recently replaced Tony Hadley, 57, with West-End performer Ross Williams, 30 after the group’s original singer announced he would be quitting last year, and have said they’re now ready to embark on a new music journey with their new vocalist.
The group – also comprised of Gary Kemp, Steve Norman, Martin Kemp and John Keeble – don’t have a plan for their new music yet, but songwriter Gary admits it will be “unavoidable” to bring a touch of the 80s into the present day.
He said: “The plan is for us to see how things go, one step at a time, but we want to do new music.
“As a songwriter I’m not trying to reinvent myself. I have a style, so I’m not going to suddenly go in and write a Kraftwerk album or an Adele album.
“The sound will sound like us, it’s unavoidable. We’re not locked into the Eighties but it’ll be recognisable.”
And Gary, 59, has no plans to hire anyone to help him write new tracks, as he bemoaned the trend in drafting in the likes of Ryan Tedder or even Sir Paul McCartney to help groups write hits.
He added: “You’re always influenced by new music that comes along, you can’t help it. There’s a lot of people running to the likes of Ryan Tedder and other songwriters to write stuff. Even Paul McCartney did that.”
The ‘Gold’ hitmakers are heading back out on the road this week, and say they’re stronger than ever despite Tony’s departure.
Gary said: “We’ve been through so many ups and downs but we’re still here somehow – Spandau has become bigger than all of that.”
Whilst his brother Martin, 57, added to The Sun’s Bizarre column: “We are a historic band, a band that meant a lot to a lot of people and played a big part in the history of pop music in this country.
“So we should be so lucky to play together and have that opportunity. In the end, we’re a family. We might be a dysfunctional family, but whose isn’t.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tara Reid’s mother has died.
The 42-year-old actress took to Instagram on Saturday (20.10.18) to reveal the heartbreaking news that her mother Donna has passed away, just two years after she also lost her father Thomas at the age of 76 in December 2016.
Posting a professional shot of her parents together, the ‘Ouija House’ star wrote: “Today has been one of the most heartbreaking days of my life. My mother Donna Reid just passed away. My heart breaks – who am I gonna call everyday, what do I do? 2 yrs ago I lost my father and I never felt such a pain. Now I just lost my mom. But the one thing I know is they are together again. Mom & Dad, I love you! RIP, your baby girl Tara (sic)”

She wrote at the time: “So thankful my mother was able to come down the red carpet with me. She’s been extremely sick just got out of the ICU. It has been a very hard year also with having my father pass away. It truly meant the world to me #iloveyoumom #sharknado6 (sic)”
The ‘American Pie’ actress had also taken to social media to post a heartfelt statement when her father died two years ago.
She wrote: “Today, I’ve received terrible news that my father, Thomas Reid, has passed away. He was a man full of life, love, wisdom, and strength. He was not only fun and in good spirits, but he was also one of the best story tellers I’ve ever heard.
“My dad was so supportive, kind, strong, and my hero. He was my heart, my soul, and my entire world. I love you and will miss you so much daddy! #RIPDADDYREID. (sic)”

Ashley Graham: Kendall Jenner is ‘so lucky’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham thinks Kendall Jenner is “lucky” for being able to be selective about her modelling gigs.
The 22-year-old model landed herself in hot water earlier this year when she claimed she would never do “30 shows a season” like some other models because her high profile has meant she’s always been able to pick and choose when she works.
And now, curvy model Ashley, 30, has said the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star is “so lucky” to be in that position, because she’s had to fight for her own place on the runway.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Thursday (18.10.18), Ashley said: “Well, lucky for her. Because I’ve never been … that’s so lucky. These t**s and a** have just had to fight through and break down barriers every day.”
In August, Kendall said she had always been selective about her shows, and claimed she would never do the amount of runway projects some other models have to do in a year.
She told Love magazine: “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the f**k those girls do. More power to ’em.”
But after several industry veterans hit out at Kendall for claiming that her comments were “so disrespectful to literally 99 percent of people in the industry,” the brunette beauty was forced to clarify her position, blaming Love magazine for taking her words “out of context”.
She wrote on Twitter: “I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd $ it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context. I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!”
And her representative added: “The point was that it’s their path and ‘the more power to them.’ She admires their hard work and dedication. It’s an accomplishment.”

Tina Turner ‘doesn’t know’ why son took his own life

OHMYGOSSIP — Tina Turner “still doesn’t know” what drove her son to take his own life.
The 78-year-old singer tragically lost her son Craig in July this year when he took his own life at the age of 59, and says she still doesn’t know what “took him to the edge”, as he had just started a new job and fallen in love with a woman whom he told his mother was unlike any other.
Tina said: “I still don’t know what took him to the edge, because at that stage he had said to me that he had never met a woman that he felt that way about.
“He was bringing her to meet me [for] his birthday in August. He had decorated his apartment, that I bought him years ago. He had gotten a new job with a prominent real estate company in California, [which] he was very happy with. I have no idea what pulled him down, except something that followed him with loneliness. I think it was something with being alone. But when I think that, why didn’t he call the new girlfriend that gave him the lift?”
The ‘Proud Mary’ hitmaker described her late son as “introverted”, and says that whilst she didn’t see any warning signs at the time, she can “notice a change” in him when she looks back on their last conversations.
She added: “He was an introverted person, he was very shy, so I didn’t know either, except now when I listen back to our last conversations, I notice a change. The last few times we talked, the conversations were different, and I didn’t know that until after the suicide.”
But despite her recent tragedy, Tina insists she’s “happier than [she’s] ever been in [her] life”.
Speaking to the BBC, she said: “I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life. I’m happier than I ever thought that life would become for me. Most of my hardships came while I was young and growing up. And in the last days when normally people suffer from old age and sickness my happiness came. I’m really thoroughly happy.”

Caplin and Massiah thrilled with All You success

OHMYGOSSIP — Caplin & Massiah are delighted their anti-Donald Trump anthem is soaring up the charts.
The duo – comprising former Haysi Fantayzee producer Paul Caplin and his wife Zeeteah Massiah – penned ‘All You’ in defiance of the US president and couldn’t be happier the club world has embraced the track.
They tweeted: “Straight in at No.18! #AllYou breaks into the club Top 20 with help from the brilliant @WestFunkmusic and @Tracey_power99, Thanks guys! And thanks to all the DJs who supported the track. Let’s keep it going.(sic)”
And the duo have called on others who share their views to follow their lead and speak out against the controversial US leader.
Caplin said: “Let’s not get used to Donald Trump. He’s a walking catalogue of character flaws, and he’s doing immense harm. If we don’t want people like that in positions of power, we need to say something.”
And her husband and bandmate stressed the track isn’t just protesting against the former ‘Apprentice’ star, but others just like him.

Lena Dunham confirms Lenny Letter closure

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham has confirmed Lenny Letter has closed.
The 32-year-old actress launched the feminism-focused lifestyle website in 2015 with her longtime collaborator Jenni Konner, and after reports surfaced earlier this week that they would be shutting the site down, one final post made on Friday (19.10.18) confirmed the news.
In the post – which was titled ‘Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner Say Goodbye to Lenny’ – the ‘Girls’ creator revealed there were a number of reasons that led to the closure of the site, but urged that subscribers keep speaking up about injustice as they had done through the platform.
She wrote: “In the three years since we began, the Internet has opened up for underrepresented writers in ways we wouldn’t have predicted or believed from our 2015 bunker. It was an honor to be part of that brigade, and we can’t wait to see how those who forged that path keep holding space after Lenny is gone.
“While there’s no one reason for our closure, this change allows for growth and a shift in perspectives – ours and yours. But can we ask one favor? Please, continue to push forward the voices that need a platform, the untold stories that deserve to be heard, the diversity that the publishing industry claims to value but has never mastered.”
Lena and Jenni then went on to thank their readers over the years, for helping them to “amplify unheard voices”.
They concluded: “And mostly, truly, our readers – thank you for letting us hitch our apple wagon to your star. We trust that Lenny’s mission to amplify unheard voices and the complexities of the female experience will roar even louder inside (and outside) each of you. We’ll be keeping our ears to the shell for the sound of your plans in action.”
Meanwhile, it was reported this week that the shut down of the site – which offered articles on health, style, politics, friendship, and other problems faced by women – reportedly comes after it suffered “plunging readership” in recent months, with only half of its 500,000 subscribers clicking on newsletters that were sent to their email addresses.

Rihanna said no to Super Bowl 53 gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna was reportedly offered the chance to headline Super Bowl 53 next year – but “said no”.
The 30-year-old singer is believed to have turned down the opportunity to take to the stage during the half time show of next year’s Super Bowl LIII, in what is said to be a show of support to former San Francisco 49ers player Colin Kaepernick, who was exiled from the NFL following his protests during the national anthem.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine: “The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta. They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.
“The offer and exposure would have been great for Rihanna as she’s planning a new album and tour but she stuck to what’s right in her eyes.”
Colin started the #TakeAKnee movement in 2016, which saw him and several other players refuse to stand during the national anthem at games in protest against police brutality and racial injustice.
In March 2017, Colin’s contract with the San Francisco 49ers was not renewed and no other team have hired him since, leading to him filing a lawsuit against the NFL for colluding to keep him unsigned because of his politics.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Maroon 5 and a host of special guests – including Cardi B – would be taking over as the entertainment for the half time show.
And although the ‘Sugar’ hitmakers have been heavily speculated, NFL have played down the rumours and insisted they haven’t made any official announcements.
They said in a statement recently: “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show.
“We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.”

Kendall Jenner awarded restraining order on ‘stalker’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner has been awarded a new restraining order against her alleged stalker.
John Ford was arrested on Tuesday (16.10.18) after he was found sitting outside the home of the 22-year-old model for the second time in a week, and on Friday (19.10.18) he was officially ordered by a judge to stay 100 yards away from Kendall and her home at all times, in a temporary restraining order that Kendall applied for and was granted the same day.
According to TMZ, Kendall stated in her declaration that she was at home on Tuesday when Ford rang her doorbell at 6:30 AM, before sitting on her front porch, where security spotted him and called the cops.
Kendall said: “The fact that he has continued to come to my home – despite all of my efforts to get him to stop – scares me.”
Ford’s arrest on Tuesday came after another incident last week, in which he scaled the mountainside at the back of the the gated complex where Kendall lives – where there is no security – and was spotted by Kendall’s team sitting in her backyard by her pool.
Police were called at the time but Ford had gone by the time they arrived, and so no arrest was made until he was spotted once again on Kendall’s front porch on Tuesday.
Following his arrest, 37-year-old Ford was being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold, but after a psychiatrist deemed him to be mentally stable on Wednesday (17.10.18), he was released.
However, on Thursday (18.10.18) morning, just hours after he was released. the LAPD then swooped in to arrest Ford once again, booking him for criminal trespass and violating a restraining order.
Prior to being arrested at Kendall’s home, Ford was arrested last month for breaking into a gated community which has been home to the likes of the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star, Britney Spears, Slash, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen, but it has been claimed that when he was arrested on Thursday, he wasn’t at the same location.

Hailey Baldwin files trademark for Hailey Bieber name

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Baldwin has reportedly filed documents to trademark the name Hailey Bieber, following her marriage to Justin Bieber.
The 21-year-old model and the ‘Love Yourself’ singer reportedly tied the knot when they went to pick up their marriage license last month, and although they’re yet to have a proper ceremony, it seems Hailey is already making the first steps to make her new relationship status official in her work life.
According to TMZ, the blonde beauty has submitted an application to register Hailey Bieber as a trademark, which is meant to cover the possibility of a clothing project in the future.
The news comes after Hailey previously denied claims she had married the 24-year-old singer on September 13.
She said: “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!”
However days later, her uncle Alec Baldwin claimed his niece and the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker had “just went off” and got married.
He said: “They just went off and got married and I don’t know what the deal is. We text Hailey every now and then. We met him one time.”
It was later speculated that because both Hailey and Justin are religious, they don’t consider their marriage official yet because they haven’t had a full ceremony in a church.
The couple are planning to make their marriage meaningful in the eyes of God through a second, formal wedding in a church in the near future.
Meanwhile, the couple reportedly confirmed their marriage to a fan this week.
The unnamed fan, who filmed the couple sharing a passionate kiss whilst out for dinner in LA, said: “I said to them, ‘I don’t want to say congratulations, but are you married?’
“Justin said, ‘Yes, we are married’. He explained that they have their ‘ups and downs’ just like every other couple.
“He said he has a lot of baggage and called Hailey ‘an angel’ for sticking by his side, but she just rolled her eyes.”

Sharon Stone isn’t hoping for love

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Stone is “no longer hoping” to find a partner.
The 60-year-old actress admits she spent many years hoping that one day she would no longer be a single parent to her adopted sons – 18-year-old Roan, 13-year-old Laird, and 10-year-old Quinn – but now doesn’t mind staying single because she believes it’s “better” for her brood.
She said: “I think somewhere in the back of your mind you think maybe one day you won’t be a single parent. Then, eventually you realise, I think it’s better. I’m no longer hoping for someone.”
And not having a father figure in her son’s lives has allowed her to teach her brood the importance of kindness.
She added: “Now, I sit down and tell them, this is where I have to teach you how to be a gentleman and a man and we’re going to figure that out together. There were times that we thought maybe there would be someone else to help with that, but there isn’t. So that’s what we’re doing now.”
The ‘Basic Instinct’ star says the “big adventure” of single parenting was a risk, but is thankful it paid off as she now has three “wonderful” children.
She told People magazine: “When you decide to take on this big adventure of being a single parent, you don’t know what it’s going to be like. You think, how am I ever going to do this all? It’s just a lot. Even with the help that we’re so blessed to be able to have, your hair’s still going down the drain in the shower. It’s just a lot.
“They’re at a wonderful age when we don’t have to have a nanny living with us anymore. I can wake up on a Saturday and I come downstairs, and they’re playing and we hang out. We swim, play basketball, we watch movies. We have such a lovely family dynamic.”

Duchess of Sussex ‘took out trash’

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Sussex’s first job was “taking out trash”.
The former actress was just 14 when she started on the employment ladder and though she didn’t have a very glamorous occupation, she thinks it instilled good values in her.
Speaking to students at the all-female Macarthur Girls High in Sydney, Australia, she said: “My first job when I was 14, I remember taking out the trash, all sorts. It give you a good work ethic, right?”
Meghan, 37, felt a connection with the teenagers at the school because the former ‘Suits’ star – who is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry – also went to a single-sex high and she praised the group for the work they are doing through the ‘”In League in Harmony Youth Advocate’ scheme, which aims to unite and inspire young people to be advocates for cohesion and inclusion in their communities.
She said: “You guys all remind me so much of myself when I was growing up.
“I went to an all girls school which was incredibly diverse as well. I think being around such empowered young women, it becomes something that you all just grasp onto to understand your world. It’s made you confident, well-spoken.
“You have an intention set to really do something to change the world, and you have to keep it up.
“It makes me so emotional. You’re doing really, really good work and I’m so happy that we’re here. We give you our full support.”
Harry, 33, also addressed the group about the strength or women and told them men also needed to push for changes.
He said: “Men can help as well by getting involved, we have to.”
The prince also climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Friday (10.19.18) to view the raising of the Australian flag to officially open this year’s Invictus Games, but his wife stayed on the ground.

Duchess of Sussex compares pregnancy to ‘jet lag’

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Sussex has been waking up in the early hours to do yoga because she cannot sleep.
Pregnant Meghan and Prince Harry – who married in May – hit Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Friday (19.10.18) as part of their tour of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, and she told Charlotte Waverley, 35, about her sleepless nights, and how her pregnancy feels like “having jet lag”.
Charlotte – who is also pregnant – told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag. She said she was up at 4.30am this morning doing yoga in her room as she couldn’t sleep.
“It’s a bit of a double whammy for her, she said, as she has both the baby and the jet lag to content with.
“We both talked about how you feel jet lagged even though you have not travelled anywhere.
“Even in her jet lag she got up to do yoga this morning at 4.30. Physical activity like yoga and surfing is so good for healing your mind.”
The royal pair met a group practicing yoga on the beach, and one of the locals, Nio Poniatowski, 25, told how Meghan loves to take part in the physical, mental, and spiritual practice because it keeps her “grounded”.
She said: “Meghan said it was her ‘leveller’, it’s what keeps her grounded, like surfing does for us. She said it was her escape.”
Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, sat in a circle with a community surfing group called OneWave, which raises awareness of mental health, and the royal couple shared a big hug with the group members following a discussion about psychological well-being.
Surf instructor Sam Schumacher, 31, said: “The circle time was great. Two or three of us shared our personal stories.
“This visit will really raise the profile of what we are trying to do and the fact that mental health doesn’t discriminate.
“It can affect anyone and that we all need to try and look after each other.
“I can see the passion in their eyes.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘beautiful’ wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding was “beautiful” – according to longtime pal Rob Lowe.
The 46-year-old actress married Brad Falchuck in an intimate ceremony with just 75 guests on September 29, and fellow actor Rob – who has known Gwyneth since she was a teenager – has now said the pair’s nuptials were “immaculate, loving, and fun”.
Speaking to ‘Extra’, the 54-year-old actor said: “My wife and I have known Gwyneth since she was 17 years old, Blythe and her dad. It’s sort of really family. It was just a beautiful, family oriented, immaculate, loving, fun. I love weddings, I love weddings, and you gotta figure Gwyneth knows how to do something like that.”
Gwyneth – who has daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, from her previous marriage to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin – and 47-year-old Brad tied the knot at her East Hamptons estate last month, and alongside Rob, stars including Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Downey Jr. were all among the guests.
A source previously said of the ceremony: “The whole wedding seemed very intimate and romantic. The friends that attended are all people that love them. Throughout the reception, guests laughed and you could tell everyone had a wonderful time. It was truly a beautiful wedding.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ actress recently revealed she was convinced she’d never marry again following her famous “conscious uncoupling” from Chris in 2016, but said Brad made her realise some people are “worth making the commitment to”.
She said: “For a while, I thought, I don’t know if I’d ever do it again. I have my kids – what’s the point?
“I met this incredible man, who made me think, no, this person is worth making this commitment to. I’m very much the marrying kind. I love being a wife. I love making a home.
“I think that marriage is a really beautiful, noble and worthwhile institution, pursuit and endeavour. Because I don’t think you get married and that’s it – I think it’s the beginning. You create this third entity, this third being that you have to nourish and look after.”

Jonah Hill: My body is ‘under construction’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonah Hill is “under construction” when it comes to his body.
The 34-year-old actor has long struggled with his appearance and his weight, after having previously slimmed down in 2011 before packing on 40 pounds for his role in 2015’s ‘War Dogs’, which he then tried to shed once again.
And despite his struggles, the ‘Maniac’ star says he’s still working hard to get himself in shape.
He said: “I’m under construction like we all are, you know what I mean? We’re all just trying to figure it out.”
But although he’s working on his figure, Jonah insists it’s time Hollywood shunned their stereotypical view of people based on the way they look, as he says he was pigeon-holed at the start of his career for being “curly-haired and overweight”.
He added: “I came up in goofy comedies and this kind of like curly-haired, overweight kid, and everyone had their own opinion on what I should be, how they could speak to me, how they could treat me.”
The ‘Superbad’ star added that even though he’s now successful and “good-looking”, he still thinks of himself as the “overweight” teenager he used to be.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ on Friday (19.10.18), he said: “I think everybody has a version of themselves – I call it, like, a snapshot, let’s say, at some point in your life, of the person you are. You’re trying to kind of hide from the world or makes you feel a certain way, and even if you get success or you grow up or you become good-looking or whatever, the things that you think will fix the thing you kind of carry some part of that with you. So for me, it’s definitely being, like, this 14-year-old kid, being overweight, wanting to fit in with these skaters and hip-hop kids and just feeling lonely and maybe not understanding my own worth.”
