OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham hopes his children are inspired by his work ethic.
The 43-year-old retired soccer star – who has kids Brooklyn, 19, Romeo,16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, with his wife Victoria – is proud of his reputation for working hard and David hopes that his children follow his example.
Reflecting on his marriage and his family life, David explained to the Australian TV show ‘The Sunday Project’: “I think if you know each other well, if you know you’ve got great friends and great family behind you, the thing we have to do is protect our children and we are very proud of the family.
“We are hard working and we feel that is the right way to bring up our children to prove and to show to them you have to work really hard to be successful.”
David retired from soccer in 2013 and has subsequently been able to spend even more quality time with his children.
In fact, the British icon admitted to having become anxious about the prospect of leaving his kids for any length of time.
He confessed: “I get physically ill when I have to leave the kids now.”
Despite this, David – who was, perhaps, the world’s best-known soccer star during his playing days – has previously admitted to missing the thrill of competing.
The former England captain shared: “I miss soccer every day, I don’t know whether it’s the athlete in me, or the passion I have for the game: I always think that I can step back on the field and play… You know, maybe I could play another year in the U.S.
“If I was still living in LA, I’d probably really seriously think about coming back for a year. But we’re living in London, and the kids are happy in the school.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mabel found her teenage years “difficult”.
The 22-year-old singer – who is the daughter of Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey – has admitted she wishes she was more relaxed during her difficult teens, saying she put too much pressure on herself.
Mabel shared: “I found being a teenager quite difficult, actually. I put a lot of pressure on myself and now looking back at it, I really wish that I had relaxed and just enjoyed it more.”
The ‘Finders Keepers’ hitmaker explained that taking ownership of her anxiety has led her to feeling like a “superhero”.
And Mabel claimed that transparency has been one of the keys to finding happiness.
She said: “Whenever I have a bad day I tell everybody around me, ‘Just so guys know I am having a bad day and I am nervous about these things’, and that makes all the difference.”
Despite this, Mabel admitted she still experiences moments of self-doubt.
She confessed to the BBC: “Young women look at me and think, ‘She’s really confident, she has always had it figured out’, but actually I really, really haven’t. That has come over time as I became a young woman.”
Mabel previously admitted that being a solo musician can often be an “incredibly lonely” experience.
She said: “Being a solo artist in general can be incredibly lonely. It’s funny how often the bigger you get sometimes, the lonelier you feel.
“A lot of people have an idea of who you are, but at the same time it’s like ‘I’m just me! I have the same doubts as and fear as you! But people look at you differently.”
However, the singer is becoming increasingly philosophical about the challenges she’s facing.
Mabel explained: “It isn’t about hitting all the notes or having a perfect stage show, it’s about letting go and enjoying it.
“Fans love the human things like when I f**k up and forget lyrics and there’s something beautiful in that. It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about not making mistakes, it’s about enjoying everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne feels inspired Russell Brand.
The 25-year-old pop star has admitted to being disinterested in politics during his younger years, but Liam explained that Russell’s outspoken views have recently encouraged him to become more engaged with social issues.
He said: “I didn’t know anything about politics but … Russell used to make me think and want to look at politics. So I think it’s quite important that we have those examples.”
Liam first found fame as part of One Direction, and Liam has described his days in the chart-topping boy band as being like a “gap year”.
But Liam – who has an 18-month-old son called Bear with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl – feels it’s important that people become more engaged with political and social issues at a younger age.
He told the BBC: “Obviously a lot of teens can’t vote yet but getting them ready for that, they never really did anything like that in my day.
“Now we are in these important times with different elections happening. Young people need to get into it more.”

The Duke and Duchess recently announced they’re preparing for the arrival of their first child, and the Duke has apparently revealed his preferred gender during an event in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday (21.10.18).
In the midst of a cycling race in the city, a well-wisher called out to the Duke: “Congratulations, I hope it’s a girl”
And, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the Duke replied: “So do I!”
The Duke and Duchess are currently enjoying a royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.
However, the Duchess – who was known as Meghan Markle prior to marrying her husband at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May – has been forced to withdraw from some of her planned engagements due to tiredness.
Meanwhile, Thomas Markle – the Duchess’ father – has revealed he was “filled with love, joy, and happiness” following the royals’ baby announcement.
Thomas, 74, admitted he feels “proud” that he’s set to become a grandfather.
The former lighting director – who previously claimed his daughter would be “nothing” without him – said: “I was sitting in line waiting to cross the border when I heard the baby announcement on the car radio. The first thing I thought about was holding Meghan in my arms as a newborn 37 years ago.
“I thought, ‘My baby is having a baby.’ It was a very proud moment. I was filled with love, joy and happiness for both my beautiful daughter and my son-in-law. A new baby is a blessing and I look forward to seeing a little Meghan or a little Harry.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell thinks fatherhood has transformed his life.
The music mogul has a four-year-old son called Eric with his long-term partner Lauren Silverman, and he’s conceded that becoming a dad has forced him to reassess his priorities.
Simon shared: “My life is very different since he came along. It was my 59th birthday last week and it started with me taking Eric out cycling, with him dressed as an alien. Then I bought him yoghurt, watched him play in his hamster wheel on the grass, we had a swim and I taught him how to ride a quad bike.”
Despite the added responsibility of parenthood, Simon feels happier now that he has done for a long time.
Reflecting on how he spent his birthday, the 59-year-old star told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Lauren was in New York seeing her son Adam, so I ended up getting sloshed with a friend of mine at Nobu in Malibu.
“And when I woke up the next day with a hangover, I thought about what a great day I’d had and how I do feel happier than I have done for a very long time.”
Simon also claimed that his decision to shun his mobile phone has helped to improve his overall mood.
He said: “There was one morning a year or so ago when I woke up to 25 unread text messages and I thought, ‘I’m really not in the mood to read those today.’
“So I left it a week and it went up to 200 unread messages … So I thought, I’m just going to turn the phone off for a month and I’ll get back to it then. And I never turned the phone back on again after that day.
“Then I worked out that I was doing over 1,000 meetings a year, which with the phone too, was getting crazy. In my 20s we used to have an answering machine at home and there were never any messages, and I was happier then.
“Now, if you lose your phone, it’s worse than losing your wallet. I lost one once and I thought, ‘My God, I’ve lost my life’, but it’s just a stupid phone!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Vick Hope and her professional partner Graziano Di Prima have been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 29-year-old presenter found herself in the bottom two along with Seann Walsh and his professional partner Katya Jones, but she couldn’t do enough to retain her place on the show, meaning she’ll miss out on next week’s Halloween special.
Responding to her elimination from ‘Strictly’, Vick said: “I’ve had the time of my life. I want to thank everyone for being the best possible people I could spend all this time with.
“And of course thank you Graz, you’ve been so patient with me and I’ve loved every last second.”
All of the judges except Craig Revel Horwood opted to favour Seann’s Quickstep over Vick’s Cha Cha Cha.
Seann, 32, has found himself under the spotlight in recent weeks after he was pictured kissing his married dance partner.
And an insider recently claimed that the comedian has been “ignored” by some of his fellow ‘Strictly’ contestants.
The source shared: “This series is definitely the most bitchiest and frostiest series ever and there is Seann standing right at the heart of it.
“It was always felt that Seann wasn’t as liked from the start but after he was pictured kissing Katya those feelings against him have only intensified.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olatunji Yearwood and Armstrong Martins have both been voted off ‘The X Factor’.
The aspiring stars have become the first contestants to exit the competition during the live shows phase of the series, after Olatunji finished bottom of the public vote and Armstrong lost the sing-off against Janice Robinson.
Ayda Field, Robbie Williams and Simon Cowell all opted to save Janice from elimination, while Louis Tomlinson voted in favour of Armstrong.
Following his exit from the show, Armstrong said: “The people want what the people want.”
Olatunji was similarly gracious, despite his early exit from the show.
He explained: “It was a wonderful journey and wonderful opportunity.”
Ayda, 39, admitted she was “devastated” by Olatunji’s exit from ‘The X Factor’..
The actress – who has been married to Robbie since 2010 – previously spoke of her determination to have this year’s winning act.
However, Ayda also claimed that her group are the underdogs of the competition.
She said: “I really want to win as I think both my group and I are the underdogs. On the panel, I’m the easiest to write-off, and it’s really important in the world today that we have older role models.
“My guys have all taken hits in life but they’re all full of passion, heart, hope and, above all, they’re all kind – they deserve a shot.
“We’ve seen so many winners who all look the same but mine are the 100/1 Grand National outsiders, and I want them to come in.”

The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star announced his engagement to the American pop star in June, but the duo ended their engagement earlier this month and Pete has admitted to feeling miserable about their break-up.
Speaking about their high-profile split while co-hosting a comedy show in Hollywood with Judd Apatow on Saturday night (20.10.18), Pete explained: “[I feel like] a good guy that just keeps getting kicked in the d**k.”
The 24-year-old comedian continued: “You’re like, ‘Ah, that f***ing poor kid. Hope he doesn’t kill himself.'”
Pete and Ariana got matching tattoos during their five-month romance, and the TV star was still happy to joke about the situation he now finds himself in.

The 25-year-old singer – who has an 18-month-old son called Bear with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl – has recalled being dumped by a girl during his teenage years, saying it set the tone for his future relationships.
Asked about the most cringe-worthy thing he’s done for a crush, Liam – who is best-known for starring in One Direction – shared: “I once sang to a girl at the lockers.
“I asked her out a record number of times, I asked her out loads and really fancied her.”
However, the situation ultimately ended in heartbreak for the British star.
He told BBC Radio 1: “She dumped me. She went out with me because I sang to her and then dumped me the next day.”

The 34-year-old reality star has taken to her Instagram account to post a lengthy message to the brunette beauty, who is celebrating her 38th birthday on Sunday (21.10.18).

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are determined their child will live a “normal” life.
The royals – who recently announced they’re preparing for the arrival of their first child – reportedly hope that he or she will be able to live as normal a life as possible, despite the inevitable interest of the public.
A source told the Sunday Times newspaper: “That word ‘normal’ looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child’s future.”
Although the baby will be the seventh in line to the throne, he or she will not be given a royal title unless the Queen decides to intervene.
And the Duke and Duchess – who tied the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May – are apparently eager to follow in the footsteps of the Princess Royal, whose children have established their own independent careers.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that the Duchess – who was known as Meghan Markle prior to marrying the Duke – is cutting back her schedule during the ongoing royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.
Despite previously saying the pair would not be cutting down any planned events on their current tour, it’s been decided that it would be best to let the Duchess “rest”.
Looking ahead to their planned schedule, a royal aide said: “After a busy programme, The Duke and Duchess have decided to cut back The Duchess’s schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week and a half of the tour.
“The Duke will attend the cycling as scheduled this morning, and The Duchess will join him for this afternoon’s engagements. The Duke will continue with the engagements on Fraser Island as planned.”

The 43-year-old retired soccer star – who has kids Brooklyn, 19, Romeo,16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, with his wife Victoria – has revealed that in spite of his competitive nature, he’s actually a very easygoing parent.
David also told the Australian TV show ‘The Sunday Project’: “I know I’m slightly stricter with the boys than I am with [daughter] Harper, to be honest … the boys rip me about it all the time.”
David revealed that Victoria teases him about his parenting style and, in particular, how he’s noticeably less strict with his daughter.
The British icon – who has been married to the former pop star since 1999 – confessed: “Victoria rips me about it all the time.”
David has been able to spend even more time with his kids since he retired from soccer in 2013.
But he’s admitted to initially struggling with having to walk away from the game that he’s always loved.
He previously shared: “It was always going to be difficult, no matter what I’d set up, no matter how many children I have got to take my mind off things.
“There was always going to be a moment when I finished playing, that I was going to find tough. Um, it wasn’t straightaway, but I had a three-week spell when I was really struggling.”
David also revealed he’s reached a point in his life whereby he’s stopped worrying about what people think of him.
Speaking about how he copes with the speculation that surrounds his life, David explained: “I’m secure as a person, as a husband, as a dad.
“I’ve gone past the point of really worrying, caring. When I was 22 years old, it might have affected me differently.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Petra Ecclestone credits her children with helping her to “cope” with her divorce from James Stunt.
The 29-year-old fashion designer – who is the daughter of Formula 1 tycoon Bernie Ecclestone – and the 36-year-old billionaire were granted a quick divorce after a five minute hearing last year, and the blonde beauty says it was their children, Lavinia, five, and twin boys Andrew and James, three, keeping her occupied that took her mind off the highly public split.
She said: “I think it was the kids that made me cope. I didn’t have the option of lying in bed, being depressed and feeling sorry for myself.
“I had to wake up for them. They kind of pushed me through it.”
James and Petra’s divorce came after James signed a prenuptial agreement worth £16 million, which came six years after they tied the knot during a £12 million ceremony that took place at a castle in Italy.
Petra says that she teaches her children that “love” is more important than wealth and as a result they are very grounded.
She admitted to the latest issue of HELLO! magazine: “They understand that they’re fortunate compared to other people.
“They’re polite and respectful. And I really believe that love is the most important thing you can give to a child. That matters so much more than money.
“I learned from an early age that people are greedy, and they’ll do things for money … My dad told me not to trust people, and I guess that’s a protective mechanism.”
Petra has started seeing new boyfriend Sam Palmer – who is a friend of her sister Tamara’s husband Jay Rutland – and admits it was ” totally unexpected”.
She said: “Life comes in unexpected waves and turns. And luckily I’ve found someone amazing … I was totally not expecting it. I honestly thought I’d just be single for the rest of my life.”
Petra plans to become a mother to at least two more children and says it’s her “dream” to adopt.
Referring to her sister – who has four-year-old daughter Sophia with husband Jay – she said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to adopt. Maybe have a few more of my own, too.
“Tamara is happy with just one child, but I’ve always envisaged having a big family … I think five or six would be a good number.”

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star was held at gunpoint as thieves stole more than $10 million worth of jewellery from in her hotel room in the French capital in October 2016, and the reality star admits that the terrifying incident allowed her to reflect on her “self-worth” and how she shouldn’t be defined by how much money she has to her name.
Appearing on Sunday’s (21.10.18) episode of ‘The Alec Baldwin Show’ – which aired on her 38th birthday – Kim admitted: “My life has definitely changed a lot in the last two years.
“For a good year, I almost lost myself.
“I was never depressed, but I wasn’t motivated to get up and work like I used to. It shook me.
“There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m worth so much.’
“That needed to change in me.”
She added: “(I’m) grateful for the experience. Even though it was horrific and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, it really did deeply change me to where now I feel like I can get back to myself.
“I felt like I was living in a bubble, and that opened me up to so much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts thinks she has too much “life experience” to star in romcom movies.
The 50-year-old actress – who previously appeared in hits such as ‘Pretty Woman’ and ‘Notting Hill’ – has revealed she’s unlikely to star in any more romcoms because she cannot convincingly play a naive character.
She said: “There came a point in my career where people thought I had turned on romantic comedies, which I love them, I love to be in them, I love to watch them.
“But sometimes, they just don’t work at a certain point of life experience.”
However, Julia stopped short of saying that her attitude was being driven by her age.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It’s not about age, it’s just about what people know that you know.”
Despite this, Julia revealed there’s one possible scenario in which she could still star in a romcom.
She said: “We [could play] the parents of the people that are romcom-ing.”
Meanwhile, Julia recently admitted her kids don’t really care about her fame.
The actress – who has kids Hazel,13, Phinnaeus, 13, and Henry, 11 – explained that they are only interested in how famous she is in relation to Taylor Swift.
She said: “I don’t think they will ever have a true sense of that.

The Hollywood star – who married Daniel in 2002 – shared: “I’m so proud of my marriage.
“We just celebrated being married for 16 years this Fourth of July, and there’s so much happiness wrapped up in what we’ve found together.”
