OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith is reportedly being lined up to record another James Bond theme tune.
The chart-topping singer won the Academy Award for Best Original Song with ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, which featured in the 2015 Bond movie ‘Spectre’, and studio bosses are now hoping they can woo him into returning for Daniel Craig’s final appearance as the iconic British agent.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Sam was seen as a huge success by the Bond team also a fantastic person to work with.
“They feel that having Sam back work again, and put them in a great position to make waves again.”
Sam, 25, previously admitted that seeing ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ reach the top of the charts marked a special moment in his career.
The London-born star said: “It’s incredible that it’s become the first No 1 Bond theme song.
“It’s been an unforgettable experience working with [producer] Barbara [Broccoli] and [director] Sam [Mendes] to become part of this British legacy.”
The track also received praise from former Bond star Sir Roger Moore, who died in May last year.
The iconic actor tweeted: “Sam Smith has delivered a very haunting and wonderfully orchestrated #Spectre theme song. Well done! (sic)”
Fellow Brit Adele recorded the theme tune to 2012’s ‘Skyfall’.
But while the track earned the 29-year-old star an Oscar and a Grammy Award, Adele previously insisted she has no plans to pen another Bond theme.
She explained: “I would never do it again because it went so well and I would never want to jinx it.
“After 21 I was like, why did I want to ruin things? Then I heard it was [the 23rd Bond film] and I was 23, and it felt a little like fate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba could be set to switch his attention to music in 2018.
The 45-year-old actor is seemingly poised to focus on his music career at the end of the upcoming series of ‘Luther’, the hit TV drama series, and is set to team up with DJ Jax Jones to record a dance anthem.
Jax – who has become a friend of Idris’ after they met backstage at a festival in 2017 – shared: “We hung out at El Dorado, he DJ’d after me, he was mad cool and we had a few drinks and stuff. It was pretty chilled, we got on straight away.
“And then I saw he had a new film out called ‘Molly’s Game’ so I went down on the red carpet to support him, we spoke again, got a picture with him and stuff.
“We started chatting about hooking up, he seems interested. I pinged him an email with some ideas, so hopefully that can happen this year.”
Idris is poised to start filming the new series of ‘Luther’ in February.
But Jax is hopeful that they could have a collaboration ready to release in time for the festival season.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s always good to have new music for the summer, of course.
“I would love to get Idris just speaking on a record, some sort of social commentary too – a bit like Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Wear Sunscreen’.”
Meanwhile, Idris previously claimed that his music is a more “truthful” reflection of who he is.
Of his music career, he explained: “I did worry that it might water down how people see what I do as an actor.
“Because my music is so much more truthful about my art – me – than my acting is. Music comes from my soul. I can connect with you more through my music.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Roy Orbison could play Glastonbury as a hologram.
The ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ hitmaker passed away in December 1988 aged 52 after suffering a heart attack, and his son Alex has admitted it would be “the ultimate” if his father performed at the iconic music festival in Somerset, south west England, from beyond the grave.
He said: “We would love to see Roy play Glastonbury, that would be the ultimate.
“This show would be perfect for that audience.”
Roy is set to go on a UK tour as a hologram starting in April to perform a series of hits, such as ‘Crying’ and ‘Only the Lonely’, and Alex admitted the technology is “moving so fast” there could be further possibilities for his dad’s posthumous career.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “The technology is moving so fast. At first we were told we could only play theatres, so we could control the interplay of the light.
“But now the Orbison hologram can play an outdoor festival, even in daylight, and it will still look good.”
The next Glastonbury festival will take place from June 26-30, 2019 after taking a break this year to allow the Worthy Farm land time to recover from the annual influx of music fans.
Founder Michael Eavis has previously admitted he is “already regretting” the decision to give the festival a break.
But after last year’s spectacle – which was headlined by Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran – his daughter and co-organiser Emily Eavis insisted 2018 would still be “quite busy”.
She explained: “Well the years off are normally quite busy actually … We spend a lot of time looking at everything and doing bigger, long-term projects. Looking at tickets and passes and things like that.
“There will be a lot of work to be done, but it’s sad to think about it at the moment, because it’s been such an amazing festival. I can’t really remember one quite like this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Ocean has hinted he’ll drop some new music this year.
The ‘Nikes’ hitmaker set tongues wagging after he shared a cryptic message on his tumblr account in which he posted a photo of a person wearing a green hat that read “IF YOU LIKED 2017, YOU’LL LOVE 2018” along with the caption: “new 18-99.”
But this won’t be the first time the 30-year-old singer has teased some new songs as he admitted around his birthday in November that he was sitting on a full album.
He said at the time: “I made the album before 30. I just aint put that bitch out!”
He added: “quotes from an interview I haven’t given.”
The ‘Swim Good’ hitmaker has been hinting that he is working on new music for some time, though he previously said that he may never release another record.
Frank is no longer signed to a label, after splitting from Def Jam Recordings, and he said last year that he doesn’t feel the need to release a full collection of songs and that he might stick to a “half-a-song format”.
At the time, he said: “Because I am not in a record deal, I don’t have to operate in an album format. I can operate in half-a-song format.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Novacane’ singer teased that he could be moving away from music to try something new that he is a “novice” at.
He said previously: “I believe that I am one of the best in the world at what I do, and that’s all I ever wanted to be.
“It’s more interesting for me to figure out how to be superior in areas where I’m naive, where I am a novice.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion would love to duet with Lady Gaga.
The 49-year-old singer has admitted she would love nothing more than to get up on stage with the ‘Million Reasons’ hitmaker when she begins his Las Vegas residency at the end of this year, because she’s such a huge fan of the pop megastar.
Asked if she would ever duet with Gaga, Celine said: “Oh don’t get me started now. I would love that. I love her so much. I can’t wait. Come on, Lady Gaga, we’re waiting for you!”
But the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ hitmaker – who has had a wealth of experience when it comes to Las Vegas residency shows – had “no advice” for Gaga, 31, about her upcoming shows, because she thinks the star already knows what she’s doing.
Speaking during CNN’s ‘New Year’s Eve Live’ with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, Celine said: “Do I have advice for Lady Gaga? No! First of all, this girl knows exactly what she’s doing. She knows what to do. And I will never, ever, ever, in my whole life tell somebody professional, super talented like she is how to do things. I’m going to go see her show. When is she starting?”
Gaga is due to perform 36 shows at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo in late 2018, after she confirmed the news in a press release last month.
She said: “It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli.
“It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before. OHMYGOSSIP — Beyoncé, Eminem and The Weeknd have been confirmed to headline the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ hitmaker is set to perform at the annual music extravaganza at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on Friday April 13 and April 20.
Having made his comeback last year, Eminem will perform on the Sunday nights (April 15 and April 22) whilst Beyoncé – who had to pull out of the 2017 festival because she was expecting twins – will perform on Saturday April 14 and April 21).
Other performers across the weekend include SZA, Kygo, Haim, Tyler, the Creator, St. Vincent and Post Malone. Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, Cardi B and French Montana will also perform.
Beyoncé was due to take one of the coveted headline slots back in 2017 but had to pull out when she found out she was expecting her twins – Rumi and Sir – with her husband Jay Z.
Beyoncé’s management company Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice released a joint statement at the time, which read: “Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
Lady Gaga stepped into replace Beyoncé whilst the other two headline slots were taken by Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
The 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place on April 13 – 15 and April 20 – 22.

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake’s new album will be released on February 2, 2018.
The 36-year-old singer has announced his fifth studio album, ‘Man of the Woods’, will drop in one month and his latest music was inspired by his home city of Memphis, Tennessee, as well as his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two-year-old son Silas.
Justin posted a video on Instagram previewing his upcoming record, and said on the clip: “This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve ever written, where I’m from, and it’s personal.”
While the ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ hitmaker is speaking about his album inspiration, a montage of him in snow, grass and water can be seen on screen.
The clip also features Justin’s pal Pharrell Williams who is seen in the recording studio with him and appears to compliment the singer on one of his songs.
He says: “That … is a smash.”
Justin’s first single from his upcoming album is set to drop on Friday (05.01.18).
‘Man of the Woods’ will be Justin’s first record since his 2013 two-part album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ and ‘The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2’, the first part of which dropped in March that year followed by the second part in September.
Beforehand, Justin’s debut solo album ‘Justified’ was released in 2002 and he followed that up with 2006’s ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’, which spawned popular single ‘SexyBack’, which hit number one in the UK and US among other countries.
In September, Justin – who previously tasted success with US boy band NSYNC before going solo – featured on the new Foo Fighters album, ‘Concrete and Gold’, after providing backing vocals for track ‘Make It Right’.
Justin’s new album will drop a few days before he headlines the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 4.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Elliott wouldn’t have replaced Brian Johnson with Axl Rose if he was in AC/DC.
The Guns N’ Roses singer was drafted in for the latter part of the ‘Highway to Hell’ hitmakers’ ‘Rock or Bust World Tour’ after Brian pulled out due to hearing issues, but the Def Leppard vocalist wouldn’t have “dealt with” the situation in that way if he had been part of the group.
He said: “I wouldn’t have done it like that.
“I can’t speak for [AC/DC guitarist] Angus [Young] and his team as to what their reasons were for doing what they did.
“But considering that we had a drummer [Rick Allen] lose an arm and we waited for him. The way that they dealt with it was not the way I would have done it, put it that way.”
While he didn’t agree with the way Axl took Brian’s place in the band, Joe, 58, thought the ‘November Rain’ singer did a “pretty good job”, but to him the current line-up doesn’t feel like the AC/DC of old.
Speaking on the ‘Life in the Stocks’ podcast, he added: “I saw some stuff on YouTube, and I think he did a pretty good job, actually. I’ve got to say.
“He certainly wouldn’t have done them any harm.
“There are detractors in any walk of life, so somebody out there thinks it was awful, some people think it’s the best thing ever.
“It kept AC/DC on the road I suppose but it’s not really AC/DC anymore is it? It’s basically just Angus and the other four now.”
AC/DC went through a transformation last year with bassist Cliff Williams retiring, Angus’ brother Malcolm Young – who quit the group in 2014 – passed away, and Brian pulled out of the tour due to his hearing problems.

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Marr has admitted he gets mistaken for Noel Gallagher at least “every month”.
The Smiths guitarist – who worked with Noel on ‘If Love Is The Law’ from his new High Flying Birds album ‘Who Built The Moon?’ – has told his friend that is regularly asked if he is the former Oasis rocker when he’s out in public.
Speaking in a new interview for Noel Gallagher’s official Facebook page, he said: “I think he thought I was joking about this, until he saw it. If I’m walking around – if not every week, every month – someone says to me, ‘Are you Noel Gallagher?’
“And I’ve told him this – I’m obviously not Noel, but it’s because I look like a guitar player. So he’s become the sort of generic term for ‘rock musician’, so I’m alright with that … I sometimes go ‘yeah’. But occasionally [if it’s] some little kid in Manchester … I go, ‘Look, you know I’m not Noel Gallagher, right, ’cause he’s so recognisable.’ And they go, ‘Well who are you then?’ ”
Johnny also explained how Noel is in a special group – including the likes of Madonna – who don’t need a surname for people to know who others are referring to.
He added: “The other thing about him as well, if someone says ‘What you doing?’, and I say I’m working with Noel, you don’t have to say Noel Gallagher anymore … So he’s become one of those people, you just have the one name now like Madonna.”
The 54-year-old Mancunian musician discussed how Noel, 50, is a favourite with taxi drivers outside of the pair’s hometown of Manchester.
He explained: “Taxi drivers love him. I get it, ’cause I’m from the north and I guess I look like a musician, I get the ‘You from Manchester then? I had Noel in my cab a few weeks ago. Great, top guy.’
“I won’t tell you what the rest of the conversation goes like. ‘Top man, top man – mates with him are you? Were you in Oasis?’ Oh, it’s a long story mate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears is “excited” for what 2018 will bring after she concluded her four-year ‘Piece of Me’ Las Vegas residency on New Year’s Eve (31.12.17).
The superstar singer performed a special set on Sunday night at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Sin City, and she shared some “2018 shenanigans” with her man Sam Asghari as they briefly reflected on the end of the run, with two songs –
‘Toxic’ and ‘ Work B***h’ – aired live during ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, Britney’s boyfriend asked if she was excited for the year ahead, and was met with a resounding “yes”.
It comes after Sam revealed how proud he was of his partner in a gushing post to mark the end of her four-year run in Vegas.
He wrote: “4 years of legacy, 4 years of greatness, a change in entertainment for the better!
“Extremely proud of my baby for kicking ass again tonight, but this time to end #pieceofme In Vegas after 4 years of residency. What a night. Happy New Year. #GOAT#britneyspears (sic)”
Britney, 36, is leaving the future open, as her manager Larry Rudolph revealed they have “made zero decisions” past the end of the residency.
He told The Las Vegas Review-Journal: “Anything is possible. We have made zero decisions. We expect a lot of interest from all parties. Britney basically sells out every show, and she loves Las Vegas, she loves performing in Vegas, and Vegas is a possibility going forward. She might tour, she might work on a new album. It’s too early to talk specifics about anything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has hinted she will be releasing a new album this year.
The 24-year-old singer – whose most recent record was ‘Beautiful Woman’ in 2016 – has given fans a snippet of a sneak peak from the studio on social media, and suggested new material could be on the way.
Along with a clip of her humming uploaded to Instagram, the ‘One Last Time’ star sent fans into a frenzy as she seemingly confirmed fans will be hearing fresh tunes, writing that she would “see you” in 2018.
Earlier in 2017, Ariana revealed she was working on new music after responding to a fan account which had posted a “very old or fake” picture suggesting she was in the studio again.
In response, she took a screenshot of the picture and wrote on her Instagram Stories: “I’m pretty sure dis is very old or fake. If u wanted confirmation that I’ve been workin why didn’t you just ask? (sic)”
She then shared an image of herself in the studio, followed by a short clip of herself working away on production.
In October, Ariana admitted she was keen to get back into the studio as soon as possible following her 72-date ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’.
She said: “I don’t even want to go home and relax. At the same time, it [the tour] has been a lot emotionally. It’s been very challenging for all of us involved.
“So it would be nice to really hold my loved ones close for a little while, stay home for a little bit.
“But knowing me, I’m going to be in the studio because I love it, and I want to create. I started an album already a year ago, over a year ago, but I want to keep creating, and it’s not done yet. So I’m going to take my sweet ass time, so I’ll be rested and ready to go again as soon as possible.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A Girls Aloud reunion can happen if the members put aside their differences, their former manager Louis Walsh has claimed.
The ‘X Factor’ judge helped create the girl group when he was a judge on 2002 TV talent show ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ along with Spice Girl Geri Horner and producer Pete Waterman and is sure the five-piece can get back together if the members, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh can get on the same page.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “It needs to be the five of them. They’d do really, really well. If Bananarama could do it, why can’t Girls Aloud do it?”
The band played their final concert back in March 2013 after celebrating their 10th anniversary with a greatest hits tour and compilation album bringing an end to their stellar pop career.
Since then the members have all gone in separate directions with Cheryl enjoying solo success on a par with Girls Aloud’s chart performance.
Louis, 65, knows a reformed Girls Aloud would do well because they had so many hits, such as ‘Biology’, ‘The Promise’ and ‘I’ll Stand By You’.
He added: “There would be a huge market for a Girls Aloud reunion.
“They need to delay it for a while but they had great songs, brilliant, brilliant songs – some of the best songs for a long time. And they all look good.”
However, Louis – who has helped guide the careers of the likes of Westlife and Boyzone over the years – ruled out ever working with the girls again.
He explained: “No, no, no – that would be too tough. It’s different with Westlife, as we understand each other and I’ve never had a row with any of them. Girls are too much trouble.”
Since the band’s split Kimberley, Cheryl and Nicola have remained close – the latter even working together in the studio recently – while there’s a divide with Nadine and Sarah.
Nadine recently admitted she didn’t know the celebrations in 2013 would be so short lived, as she expected new music and further live shows.
She previously said: “I thought we were going to continue. I thought we were going to do loads and loads of stuff. We had songs, we had a three-album deal and it seemed like a great time. Obviously the girls had different plans.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas is hoping fans will use his upcoming new album as a party soundtrack.
The ‘Jealous’ singer admitted his last solo effort – 2016’s ‘Last Year Was Complicated’ – has been very much a break-up record, but promised his new music in 2018 will be much more upbeat.
Nick told Billboard.com: “I can tell you that this body of work as a whole has a real sense of optimism about it, in the lyrics … I tried to say all of what I wanted to say.
“The last body of work was very much a breakup album and heavy in some ways, and this one feels lighter and I think touches on an excitement I feel about this next chapter of my life and the journey that I’m going on. I listen to music to be uplifted and to enjoy my time so I want to create that for my fans as well.”
He added: “I think fans can expect a stepping off point from the last body of work, the last bit of music, and just an evolution. Something that will really showcase this moment in my life and hopefully be a party soundtrack for them, something they can also sit and listen to alone and get reflective and kind of think about their own life.
“When I look at the artists I admire, it’s people that write songs that really become part of the fabric of your life and help tell your own stories because they’re so relatable and so universal. So I hope to do the same thing with my music.”
Nick, 25, seemed to be focusing on his acting in 2017, appearing in ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, and has also been cast in Doug Liman’s sci-fi thriller ‘Chaos Walking’.
But the former Jonas Brothers star admitted he cannot choose between his two careers.
Nick said: “There’s some real opportunity and momentum on the acting side of things, and I’d love to ride that out and see where that goes. But also, music is a first love and will always be there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Imagine Dragons have teased they have a “massive year” lined up in 2018.
The ‘Radioactive’ hitmakers have found themselves in with a shot of taking home two Grammy Awards at the upcoming ceremony – which takes place at the end of this month – for their track ‘Thunder’, which is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and their album ‘Evolve’, which is up for Best Pop Vocal Album.
However, the band have claimed winning the awards is just the tip of the iceberg for them, as they are set to have a fantastic year regardless of the award show’s results.
The band’s drummer Daniel Platzman said: “There’s so many amazing people nominated for Grammys – [winning] would be great, but it’s not really the thing that’s going to make or break our 2018. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I will say we definitely have some tricks up our sleeve for 2018. And that does include more than nearly touring the world and getting to take Imagine Dragons to audiences that have never seen us before. For me it’s all about the live shows, so 2018 is going to be a massive year.”
Despite their two Grammy nominations, some fans were disappointed the band hadn’t been placed in the ‘Rock’ category, although the band themselves are not “offended” by which genre they are labelled as.
Daniel said: “Nothing really surprises us with genre anymore. I think genre has never meant less than it has in 2017 and onwards. I think it just comes down to the fact that today’s listener is very sophisticated and has heard everything – it’s just a game changer. It’s like if you only had a couple of colours, but then suddenly you saw the whole spectrum.
“I love that people experience our music in a way that they want to call it rock. It doesn’t offend us. And it doesn’t offend us if people enjoy us and want to call it pop, that’s fine. There’s some places where they literally described us as guitar music because there’s guitar in it.”
The big plans for 2018 follow an “overwhelming” 2017 which saw the band release their third studio album ‘Evolve’ in June, following the success of their previous two ventures, ‘Smoke + Mirrors’ in 2015, and their 2012 debut ‘Night Visions’.
Speaking to Billboard, Daniel said of their past year: “It’s been overwhelming, but in all the good ways. 2017 was a massive year for us. To release Evolve, to get the response we got just blew us away – we were not expecting it. I’m honestly scared that 2018, if it’s any better, my heart will just explode with joy.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez says 2018 will be her “year of music”.
The ‘Bad Liar’ hitmaker has thrilled fans by teasing that she is likely to be releasing new music in the new year.
Asked by Billboard what she is most looking forward to in 2018, she simply said: “2018 will be my year of music.”
Meanwhile, Selena previously revealed how proud she is that female musicians have become so honest.
She said: “A positive thing and change in the music industry has been the women. I think the women have really defined their voices and I feel most comfortable because I see all the women I look up to feeling comfortable enough to talk about the struggles or things that they’ve gone through …
“I think it’s an important time where people can say what they feel and know their platforms are used for something great. I’m so proud and happy to be a part of the industry while it is changing in this way and I couldn’t be more honoured to be a part of that …
“I think one of the experiences I’ve had myself, I’ve experienced a lot with my health, and being able to talk about that confidently … I feel like I can make a positive impact by sharing my story.”
Selena has had a difficult year – including having to undergo a kidney transplant – but says it taught her to work at her “own pace”.
She explained: “This year, I did it on my own pace. I don’t want to rush this … I was like, ‘No, I’m going to release the songs I want to release and just take my time.’ I was going through stuff personally, and I just wanted to take care of myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne admits performing on stage as a solo artist is more challenging than being in a group.
The 24-year-old singer is currently pursuing a career as a solo performer, having first found fame as part of One Direction, and Liam has acknowledged the differences in an Instagram post.
Liam – who starred at Wembley Stadium in London earlier this year – wrote on the photo-sharing website: “I’ve got to perform to some amazing crowds this year, starting with 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium! With the boys you had the chance to bounce off each other, when you’re on your own it’s just you and you have to get out and just do it! Each venue was different but the crowds brought it and helped me give the best performances I could! (sic)”
This comes shortly after Liam admitted to being proud of his fellow One Direction members, all of whom have pursued solo projects since the band announced they were taking a break.
The ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker also suggested he was surprised by the success that he and his fellow bandmates had enjoyed since they went their separate ways.
Liam – who also revealed he’s looking forward to eventually being reunited with his bandmates – previously said: “I can’t believe the band are breaking records nearly every week while we’re on hiatus. It’s quite insane.
“But it makes me more proud to be a part of it and I can’t wait for the comeback.”
