OHMYGOSSIP — Migos say they were “cheated” after not picking up a single award at the Grammys. The hip-hop trio – Quavo, Takeoff and Offset – were nominated for Best Rap Album for ‘Cutlure’ and Best Rap Performance for ‘Bad and Boujee’, but lost out to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DAMN’ and ‘HUMBLE’ respectively.

However, the ‘Slippery’ hitmakers – who released part two of the record, ‘Culture II’, last month – have vowed to come back stronger at next year’s ceremony. Offset – who is engaged to rapper Cardi B – told the latest issue of NME magazine: “They cheated us.”

Quavo added: “There was nothing bigger than the f**king ‘Culture’ album this whole last year! They’re scared to handle the three-headed monster … Ooh! [But] we’ll be back next year. We’ll be f***ing back next year!”

The trio weren’t the only ones hoping to take home the prestigious Best Rap Album gong. Tyler, The Creator said prior to the ceremony last month, that he felt he should win the accolade over regular winners Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar.

The ‘Yonkers’ hitmaker, whose record ‘Flower Boy’ received a nod, said it was time for someone “different” to pick up the accolade. Tyler – who received his first ever Grammy nomination this year – still hoped Kendrick, who was also nominated in six other categories, took home at least one gong for his record ‘DAMN’, but didn’t feel he should have received Best Rap Album.

Tyler said at the time: “I think I should win. Just something different just needs to win. I love Jay, but f**k you have Grammys, dog. And I love Kendrick, and I think ‘DAMN’ is awesome. ‘XXX’ was my favourite song on that album and I think it’s great, but f**k, like n***a nominated for six other ones, let him get one of those.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Bay wants to “tear up the rule book”.
The 27-year-old singer doesn’t want to be pigeonholed as the “intimate acoustic guitar guy” and hopes his latest single, ‘Wild Love’ will take steps in helping to paint a “fuller picture” of who he really is as an artist.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “I know some of this new sound was not apparent on my first album – there were hints, perhaps – but I think my new music helps to paint a fuller picture of who I am.
“As soon as I recognised I was being pinned down as ‘the intimate acoustic guitar guy’ I realised I knew I had to push myself musically. I want it as part of my arsenal, but I don’t want that solely to define me.
“I’m not there yet, but hope that this new music can do for singer-songwriter, loosely, what Drake and Chance The Rapper are doing for their genre: tearing up the rule book.”
One of the ‘Let It Go’ singer’s biggest influences on his upcoming new album is ‘Green Light’ hitmaker Lorde.
He told Billboard: “Lorde’s music is one [influence for the new record]. ‘Liability’ is just a great — the whole ‘I’m a liability’ the turn of phrase in that song… her lyrics are fantastic. Her production is always interesting, because I don’t think she needs to do much. But if she does more, and pack the sound out, it’s really exciting still.
“‘Green Light’ – there’s definitely, at times, more going on. ‘Perfect Places’, there’s a fair amount of stuff going on for her, as an artist, but it feels correct.
“My point is that ‘Liability’ is like, a stunning, stripped-back thing. I just love that dynamic range. I’m always going for that sort of thing myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy Better Know are set to receive the Innovation Award at the 2018 VO5 NME Awards this month.
The grime collective – also known as BBK – will appear at the glitzy award ceremony at London’s O2 Arena on February 14 to collect the coveted honour in person, which will see them recognised for their “instrumental” work in “shaping the UK grime scene”.
Speaking about giving BBK the honour, NME editor-in-chief Mike Williams said in a press release: Boy Better Know have been instrumental in shaping the UK Grime scene over the past decade, and we’re thrilled to be able to honour them with the NME Innovation Award this year.
“From nurturing fresh new talent to packing out festival fields with their live shows, BBK never stand still and have undoubtedly become one of the most respected and well-loved music collectives the UK has produced.
“With the V05 NME Awards streaming live on Facebook again this year you can catch the whole thing as it happens. It’s going to be epic.”
BBK was founded by grime superstars Jme and Skepta in 2005, and gained international prominence in 2016 when Canadian chart-topping sensation Drake joined their ranks.
Currently, the collective is made up of 10 members, which also includes Wiley, Jammer, Shorty, Frisco, Solo 45, Preditah and DJ Maximum.
Although it has not been confirmed which members will be attending to collect their award, co-founder Skepta will be at the ceremony as he’s set to take to the stage to perform his new single ‘Ding-a-ling’ alongside Stefflon Don.
The announcement follows the news that former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher will be handed the Godlike Genius Award at the ceremony, whilst Garbage’s Shirley Manson will be honoured with the Icon Award, and Pale Waves will receive the award show’s very first Under The Radar Award.
All remaining categories are voted for by the public, with the winners revealed at the official annual ceremony.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Cattermole’s mum helped her son sell all of his S Club 7 discs to help with his money troubles.
The 40-year-old former singer has recently fallen on hard times, and in a bid to earn some cash to pay off his debts, he tried to flog the two BRIT Awards he won whilst part of the 90s group on eBay.
However, the ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ hitmaker has now revealed he was desperate, he sold off all of their old records too.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (08.02.18), Paul said: “My mum is amazing. Yeah, she has helped in a big way.
“I sold all my disc and she did it for me, bless her, they were all in storage in the loft of the family home. But they have all gone.”
Paul refuses to reveal the reason why he is in desperate need of money due to legal reasons, but said it had something to do with an injury he sustained last year.
He said: “Well, last year there’s something I can’t really discuss that happened so it’s a bit tricky but yeah, I’ve had an injury.
“That’s what’s happened in the last year. When we did the 2015 S Club tour I was, as it was written in the papers, I went bankrupt and I had to give all that money back.
“So I had to give all my money for that tour to pay that bill off, so I had to do the next job that came in which was ‘Rocky Horror’.
“S Club might have done something else if I wasn’t pushed into that position.”
Although Paul is struggling to pay off enormous amounts of debt, he admitted he will always look back at his time with the group with fond memories.
He said: “It was a lot of fun and I look back on those days very fondly, possibly more nowadays.
“I wouldn’t say it was a perfect life because it’s not very easy when you’re doing a pop group thing.
“There is always what it is like on the inside and how the perception is on the outside, so, but there was many, many fun times.
“It’s one of those jobs you take the rough with the smooth. The rough is rough but the smooth is smooth so you got to take it all.”

OHMYGOSSIP — 30 Seconds to Mars have announced their new album will be released on April 6.
Jared Leto and co have titled their next record ‘The New Album’ and anyone who pre-orders the album will get their hands on new song ‘Dangerous Night’, and last year’s ‘Walk On Water’.
The US rockers also announced a 2018 North American tour entitled ‘The Monolith Tour’.
The run kicks off in Toronto, Canada on June 6 and concludes in Malibu, California on August 13.
The band will be joined by Walk The Moon, K.Flay, MisterWives, Joywave and Welshly Arms on the road.
Alongside a link to pre-order the forthcoming release, the band wrote: “Soon is NOW. Preorder the NEW album + get Early Access tickets for our 2018 NORTH AMERICAN #MonolithTour!!! (sic)”
Leto, 36, recently teased the new album – their first since 2013’s ‘Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams’ – will be “surprising” as it is very futuristic.
He said: “The album is, I think, going to be very surprising to people. There’s quite a lot of different musical styles on the album, it’s a very modern album and a break from the past
– we are incredibly excited about it. It has a lot of energy and we’ve spent years working on it, exploring new ideas.”
And the model admitted that they have “shattered expectations” by breaking a few rules.
Speaking about the process, he said: “It’s sometimes hard to talk about it when you are still doing it because you don’t have perspective and you need to look back on something like that, because as you are climbing mountains, you are so focused on securing a foothold or not falling off that it’s sometimes hard to speak eloquently about it.
On breaking away from their traditional sound, he added: “The new album is very different, we break a lot of rules – maybe that we didn’t have for us – but we shattered some expectations that other people may have had.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has recorded his first full song in Hindi.
The former One Direction star has been experimenting with the language, and writing in Urdu, a Persianised register of the Hindustani dialect.
The 25-year-old singer – whose father is British Pakistani – has also done a track with Grammy-winning Bollywood soundtrack composer, AR Rahman, that’s expected to feature in a forthcoming film.
Speaking to Indian Fashion magazine, Zayn said: “It’s one of the first songs I’ve sung in full Hindi, so it’s going to be cool to see what the response to that is.
“There’s definitely a lot of Urdu; some nice qawwali sounds. There might even be some bhangra vibes. I have worked with AR Rahman on one song.”
The dark-haired hunk recently shared a preview of a new song about his girlfriend Gigi Hadid being the only woman he needs.
The British star – who has been dating the stunning American model for over two years – shared the snippet of the track on his Instagram profile.
He sings: “She’s all the woman I need.”
He also shared a video of him playing the acoustic guitar on the photo-sharing app, with the caption: “jammin (sic)”
Over the top of the instrument, he sings: “I see you every night, always on my mind. Always on my mind/I know you are mine.”
It comes after the ‘Still Got Time’ hitmaker registered a new song called ‘Hurt’.
Zayn appears as the owner of the track on a BMI listing, whilst a host of major songwriters and producer BURNS have been credited for their involvement.
Among the names are Andrew Watt and Ali Tamposi – who co-wrote Camila Cabello’s huge hit ‘Havana’ – Chloe Angelides, known for working with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, and Britney Spears collaborator The DJ Burns.
The track, when released, will follow two mega collaborations from the 24-year-old musician in the form of ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ with Sia and ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ with Taylor Swift.
Zayn has been keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to his second record – the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Mind of Mine’ – but admitted he’s “kind of finalised it”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue has announced an intimate tour this March.
The ‘Dancing’ hitmaker will perform at London’s 700-capacity Café De Paris on March 13, before hitting Manchester, Barcelona, Paris and Berlin.
Speaking about the forthcoming concerts, Kylie said: “I’m so excited to perform songs from my new album ‘Golden’ in these iconic European clubs.
“Each of these venues is very special and – just as I found making the new album in Nashville to be so energising – these shows will be new, intimate and fun.
“I just can’t wait to bring these new songs to life and of course, throw in a few surprises for my fans.”
The shows come ahead of Kylie releasing new album ‘Golden’ on April 6.
The 49-year-old singer wrote her long-awaited record in the home city of country music, Nashville, and admitted it was the perfect environment in which to pen new material.
She shared: “I hadn’t been there. I said to a few people, ‘I’m going to Nashville. Have you been there?’ They spoke with such excitement and love for the city, literally.
“They were giving me advice on which bar to go to and where to eat and blah blah blah …”
Kylie ended her relationship with British actor Joshua Sasse at the turn of 2017, and the Australian star admitted the songwriting process proved to be cathartic for her.
She explained: “Songwriting can be a bit like therapy; you have to feel comfortable to talk about personal things.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne wouldn’t mind a hologram tour in his honour.
The Black Sabbath rocker – who is set to retire from the road after a final two-year jaunt around the globe staring in April – addressed the reports that Justin Timberlake was planning to use a hologram of the late music legend Prince during his Super Bowl halftime show at the weekend.
Ozzy said he wouldn’t be fussed having a 3D projection used as a tribute to him, though he wouldn’t have much choice because he’d be dead.
Speaking at a press conference in Los Angeles after announcing his final world tour, ‘No More Tours 2’, Ozzy – who is also known as the Prince of Darkness – laughed: “If I’m gone, I don’t have a say in the matter.
“I can’t complain.
“I’m the Prince of Darkness, I will haunt you. Go f***ing wild!”
The ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker doesn’t think the ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker would have appreciated Justin’s tribute, which saw him performing ‘I Would Die 4 U’ while images of the late star – who died in April 2016, aged 57 – were projected onto a screen behind him.
He explained: “From what I know of Prince, he wouldn’t have liked that. I don’t think so.
“I read an article about him and he would never do taped interviews because his voice was his income.
“And I know that from first hand because there was a time when people were pressing interviews on vinyl and I’m walking in the park one day and a guy had like 200 albums. I said, ‘What’s that?’ and it was a bootleg interview.”
Whilst he’s quitting touring, Ozzy reassured fans that he still plans to do the odd show here and there.
He said: “I’m not retiring.
“It’s ‘No More Tours,’ so I’m just not doing world tours anymore. I’m still going to be doing gigs, but I’m not going on tour for six months at a time anymore. I’d like to spend some time at home.”
The ‘War Pigs’ hitmaker wants to spend more time with his family after recently welcoming his eighth grandchild into the world, Minnie, his son Jack Osbourne’s third child.
On why he’s giving up touring, he said: “I’ve experienced fantastic things; it’s been an incredible journey.
“I just need to slow it down a little.
“I enjoy being a grandfather.
“I don’t want to go through another generation of Osbournes without seeing them grow up.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maren Morris says being nominated at this year’s Grammy Awards was a big “bonus”.
The 27-year-old country singer took home the Best Country Solo Performance at the music event in 2017 for ‘My Church’ and was so thrilled when she was nominated in the same category in 2018 for ‘I Could Use a Love Song’.
She told People magazine: “I kind of consider this a bonus year for me because I won last year in the same category. I won and got to perform last year, so that felt like the year for me to go. I really wasn’t expecting to get another nomination this year just because last year was so monumental, so it feels like a bonus.”
Meanwhile, Maren had previously confessed that she was more nervous about falling over than performing with Alicia Keys at the Grammy Awards.
Asked backstage at Los Angeles’ Staples Center if she was nervous about the performance, she said: “She’s stood in my shoes here before, as a Best New Artist nominee … I was more nervous about walking up the steps to accept my award and not falling over my dress. Luckily, that did not happen. But the night is young.”
And Alicia had previously explained how she felt her voice fitted well with the country star’s.
She added: “We are both up for any challenge. Maren does her style and I do my style and they blend so well together. You don’t hear a note and think, ‘That’s a rock note and I like it because it’s a rock note.’ You don’t care what note it is, you just want to feel it and feel great.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan wants to collaborate with the Eagles’ Don Henley after his family practically “adopted” him.
The One Direction star met the ‘Hotel California’ hitmaker after hanging out with his daughter Annabel, and was left gobsmacked the singer and percussionist agreed to be a part of his ‘Flicker’ album documentary for Apple.
Niall told Australia’s Herald Sun: “I’m like the family’s adopted son.
“He hardly ever does interviews. For him to say yes to doing an interview for me was good enough. He could have done the worst interview of all time and I wouldn’t have given a sh*t! Don agreed to do that for me.”
The 24-year-old Irish heartthrob says he would love the chance to get into the studio with Don – who is also a successful solo artist – but admits he’d probably be so in awe of his idol he’d forget how to play his instrument.
He said: “Imagine that. There would be nothing better than to be sitting in a room with my guitar in my hand with Don Henley, writing a song together.
“I’d probably forget how to play guitar. Just to have a jam with him would be enough, but imagine being on a song with Don Henley. That’s the dream.”
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Niall had spent time in the studio with country music legend Shania Twain last year.
He said at the time: “I have spent a bit of time with Shania in the studio. The guy who produced her album, ‘Jacquire King’, is doing a lot of my album, so I spent a lot of time with her, and she’s great.
“I am learning about [country music] and I think it’s really cool. The whole country singing in the States is really cool. I know these guys and I am learning about their ways.
“I grew up on the likes of The Eagles and my mum had Garth Brooks and Shania in the house all the time and in the car when I was growing up.
“Country is the heart of the kind of music that I like. When you hear my album you will hear flavours of folk and country and stuff like that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Libertines, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Run DMC will headline Kendal Calling.
The ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ hitmakers will bring the music festival to a close on Sunday July 29 at Lowther Deer Park in Cumbria, north west England, with Catfish due to perform on the Friday night and Run DMC on the Saturday.
Hacienda Classical will headline the Thursday night (26.07.18) of the extravaganza, which will also feature performances from the likes of James, Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven, The Sherlocks and White Lies.
Several stars will take to the decks for DJ sets, including Tim Burgess, The Coral and Basement Jaxx, while Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Lucy Spraggan and Idris Elba are also on the bill.
The Libertines drummer Gary Powell admitted the group cannot wait to headline the “homegrown” spectacle and he is excited to see some of the other performers.
He told NME magazine: “We really want to play these shows. Me and Carl played Kendal Calling with Dirty Pretty Things way back in 2005 or 2006.
“I remember someone ran through the festival and called me Mark Morrison, which I wasn’t too pleased about because he’s kind of butters, but it would be good to go back to an English homegrown festival.
“It’s weathered the storm and is going strong. Plus, it’s a great line-up this year. Who needs Glastonbury?”
Gary admitted even when the group are not on the stage or in the studio, there is never any “downtime”.
He added: “Just because we aren’t out on the road and playing shows with The Libertines, there’s never really been such a thing as downtime. There’s always something happening. Always something else.”
Kendal Calling tickets are on sale from 10am on Thursday (08.02.18).

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Aguilera has promised fans she is making another album.
The ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker took to her Instagram story on Monday night (22.01.18) to share a fan’s picture of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with a note left on it reading: “Dear Christina Aguilera, Where the f*** is the new album??”
And she captioned the photo: “It’s coming b*tches.”
The 37-year-old pop megastar hasn’t released a record since 2012’s ‘Lotus’.
It comes after it was revealed Pink and Christina Aguilera have recorded a secret duet – signalling the end of their 16-year feud.
The pop starlets famously fell out during the recording of the 2001 smash hit cover of ‘Lady Marmalade’ for the film ‘Moulin Rouge’, but put aside their differences for the new song.
Pink said recently: “We did a duet for her album and I don’t know when it’s coming out but it’s amazing.
“We did it two years ago so I don’t remember the title, but she’s incredible.”
The ‘Trouble’ singer’, 38, also admitted she felt forced to defend herself after fans tried to reignite the feud over Christina’s Whitney Houston tribute at the American Music Awards.
Pink took to Twitter to praise her friend, writing:”Christina f***ing killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever. This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina’s talent. (sic)”
The tweet came after speculation she had made disapproving faces during the performance.
Pink said: “Yes, it is really frustrating, but I fight back.
“I do it less than I used to but I do when I think the narrative needs to be changed.
“It’s bulls**t, I’m not gonna stand for it. But I’m used to it, to be honest.
“And this never happens to men, it’s very specific to females.”
The ‘Get The Party Started’ hitmaker previously revealed her feud with Christina once got so bad the ‘Dirrty’ star tried to punch her.
Pink once said: “We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha.
“I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal.
“She swung at me in a club. Hilarious! I was like, ‘What’s happening right now? What’s happening?'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Folk duo First Aid Kit will headline Cambridge Folk Festival this August.
The Swedish siblings, Klara and Johanna Soderberg – who shot to fame after covering Fleet Foxes’ ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’ in 2008 – will play the annual music event on August 5 at the English city’s Cherry Hinton Hall.
Cambridge Folk Festival’s Neil Jones commented: “The addition of First Aid Kit cements a line up that is both one of our strongest and most eclectic in years. The band’s performance is set to be a real Festival highlight this summer, and their Friday night headline appearance continues what is a new era for one of the UK’s most loved and iconic festivals.”
The pair join previously confirmed headliners, Patti Smith and the legendary John Prine.
The girls released their new record ‘Ruins’ on January 19, and recently revealed they got into country music to “rebel” against their parents, who were punks.
Johanna said: “Our parents didn’t really listen to country. They were punks and they thought country was silly.”
Klara said: “Yeah, so our way of rebelling as teenagers was listening to country music.”
However, they kept their love of the genre from their friends at school.
Johanna added: “At school, I didn’t tell everyone, ‘Hey I’m listening to old country stuff.'”
The annual event, which will be held between August 2 and 5, also sees the likes of Beth NiElson Chapman, Damien O’Kane & Ron Block, Darlingside, Darren Eedens & the Slim Pickins’, The East Pointers, Elephant Sessions, Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band, Eric Bibb, Gordie on the bill.
