OHMYGOSSIP — BTS knew Halsey would be the “best voice” for their latest single.
The ‘Idol’ hitmakers – made up of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – teamed up with the 24-year-old singer on their new single ‘Boy With Luv’, and have said that after first meeting her when they travelled to the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, they knew her voice would be perfect for the track.
Speaking in an interview for Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio, the group’s leader RM said: “We met two years ago at the BBMAs backstage. She told us that she became a fan after she watched music videos. We knew Halsey from ‘Closer’ [with The Chainsmokers], biggest song of that year. So we met backstage and she came to Korea last year, and we met again. We talked about, like, ‘We should collaborate. We should work on something.’ We got this track for this album and thought that Halsey would be the best voice for this track. It happened. Boom. Here we are.”
And it seems the collaboration was indeed perfect, as they managed to smash two world records within hours of the song being released.
The music video gained the most views on YouTube of any music video in a 24 hour period with 74.6 million, and in less than two days, it had also become the fastest video to reach 100 million views.
Both records had previously been set by female K-pop group BLACKPINK, who had released their latest single ‘Kill This Love’ just days prior to BTS.
Meanwhile, BTS’ latest single is just one of several collaborations on their new album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’, which also features a track penned by Ed Sheeran entitled ‘Make It Right’, and ‘Mikrokosmos’, which former ‘X Factor’ contestant Ryan Lawrie helped create.

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce has dropped a new live album to accompany her Netflix documentary ‘Homecoming: A Film by Beyonce’.
The new record ‘Homecoming: The Live Album’ features 40 tracks, many of which were recorded at the ‘Formation’ hitmaker’s iconic headline set at Coachella in 2018.
Among the extensive live recordings is Beyonce’s cover of ‘Before I Let You Go’ by Frankie Beverly and Maze, which soundtracks the end credits to the film.
Queen Bee’s show-stopping three-song reunion with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, comprised of ‘Lose My Breath’, ‘Say My Name’ and ‘Soldier’, also features.
Announcing the documentary, which premiered today (17.04.19), Netflix said: “‘Homecoming’ presents an intimate look at Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities. ‘Interspersed with candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision, Homecoming traces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.”
The trailer for ‘Homecoming’ showed Beyonce’s seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – whom she has with husband Jay-Z – nailing her mother’s choreography.
Their little girl could be seen sat in a chair before the 37-year-old superstar and her backing dancings started rehearsing their routines, including Beyonce’s signature hair whip move.
Rapper Jay-Z – who also has 12-month-old twins Rumi and Sir with Beyonce – can also be seen sharing sweet moments with his wife in the film.
The ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker made history at Coachella by becoming the first black female solo artist to headline the world famous festival.
Beyonce included the song ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’, widely known as the black national anthem, in her set, which features Blue, and is also on the live release.
The ‘Halo’ hitmaker had previously sung the song to her daughter Rumi.
Speaking about the inclusion of the anthem, she said previously said: “One day I was randomly singing the black national anthem to Rumi while putting her to sleep. I started humming it to her every day.
“In the show at the time I was working on a version of the anthem with these dark minor chords and stomps and belts and screams. After a few days of humming the anthem, I realised I had the melody wrong. I was singing the wrong anthem.
“One of the most rewarding parts of the show was making that change.
“I swear I felt pure joy shining down on us. I know that most of the young people on the stage and in the audience did not know the history of the black national anthem before Coachella.
“But they understood the feeling it gave them.
“It was a celebration of all the people who sacrificed more than we could ever imagine, who moved the world forward so that it could welcome a woman of color to headline such a festival.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed O’Brien says Radiohead have discussed new music.
The ‘Creep’ group’s guitarist is currently preparing for the release of his long-awaited forthcoming debut solo album, which is due out around September/ October time, but he has hinted that the Thom Yorke-fronted band are planning to reunite at some point, though he admitted it may not be right away.
Asked how long it will be till they are back in the studio, he coyly told NME: “We’ve got some stuff that we were talking about, but I’m going to be particularly vague. It could be next year; it could be 10 years’ time.
“The important thing is that when we get together, we do it because we really want to. We don’t have to do it because we should or we ought to, but because we really want to.”
The indie band, who wrapped up their tour of their Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ last summer, reconnected earlier this year.
He said: “We toured for two and half to three years. Everybody’s off doing their own touring. We all got together in January and just chatted.
“The nature of our band is that you have to have meetings sometime. Everyone seems to be really busy doing really interesting and great things.”
Meanwhile, Ed also revealed that although he plans to tour his album, he won’t be having a go at singing Radiohead songs.
He said: “I’m definitely going to be touring, but no. I don’t sing Radiohead songs [on record] so it wouldn’t be appropriate. It’s a different energy, a different thing.”
The musician first started working on his debut effort three years ago.
The currently untitled record will feature The Invisible’s Dave Okumu, touring bassist for Eric Clapton, Phil Collins and Toto, Nathan East, and drummer Omar Hakim, who provided percussion on the late music legend David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’.
Further special guests are set to make appearances also.
Ed, who will sing, play guitar and bass on the project, has worked with U2 producer Flood and Catherine Marks – who is best known for her work with The Killers and Wolf Alice – on the album.
On what fans can expect, he said: “You’ll make a little connection. There will be textures. There’s quite a lot of depth to it. It’s a little bit magical realist, slightly psychedelic, a lot of colour.”
The Oxford-born star is currently in the process of scouting a label to release the record and the plan is to hit the road with a “funk and jazz focus” band.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Morello “would be happy” to add his name to the online petition calling for the recently photographed black hole to be named after his late Audioslave bandmate Chris Cornell.
The Prophets of Rage star was the lead guitarist in the Soundgarden star’s supergroup – completed by Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk – and he would love to see the supermassive black hole at the centre of galaxy, which was seen for the first time ever last week after the Event Horizon Telescope shared their image, attributed to Chris who penned the hit song ‘Black Hole Sun’ in 1994.
Asked if he’d like to support the campaign, Tom told Tennessee’s Rock 105 WRXR radio station: “I heard that. I think that would be really nice.
“I don’t know who you send that petition to, but I’d be happy to officially add my name to that … That seems absolutely appropriate.”
The single from Soundgarden’s ‘Superunknown’ record was inspired by the Black Sun sculpture by Isamu Noguchi, which is located in the late grunge star’s home city of Seattle’s Volunteer Park.
The petition, which was started by fan Giuliana Jarrin on Change.org, reads: “‘Black Hole Sun’, written by Chris Cornell, is without a doubt SOUNDGARDEN’s most recognisable and most popular song, and one of the biggest anthems of the ’90s.
“For this reason, and the impact Chris Cornell had in the lives of so many and music itself, I ask NASA, the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration and all the astronomers and scientists involved in this discovery, to name this black hole after Chris Cornell.
This would be a ‘surreal’ and amazing way to honour his life and his contribution to music.”
Unfortunately, the phenomenon has already been given the name Powehi, which denotes the “embellished dark source of unending creation” of the vacuum.
Chris tragically took his own life in May 2017, at the age of 52.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender built his own studio to record his debut album because it was “cheap as chips”.
The North Shields singer/songwriter used to worry about the money he was wasting when he was recording in “big studios” and so creating his own warehouse space in his hometown was not only thrifty, but it enabled him to put his whole heart and soul into ‘Hypersonic Missiles’.
He said: “I think because we built it ourselves there’s a lot of love gone into it.
“I used to get red light syndrome in big studios because I’d be thinking about the money it was costing, while trying to do a vocal take.
“Now I don’t think about that because it’s ours, and it’s cheap as chips.”
Sam – who worked with his long-time friend and producer Bramwell Bronte on the record – is proud of not being influenced by his record label to work with a high brow producer such as Rick Rubin and vowed to continue making records with a DIY approach.
He told Clash: “We’ve done all this ourselves, we’ve built all this from the grass up and we didn’t get bullied by any record labels into working with Rick Rubin or somebody.
“We did it ourselves. And I’m excited to do it again. It’s proof that you don’t have to do it the way they suggest.”
Sam’s debut studio album will be released on August 9.
In a tweet which showed off the album’s artwork, the 25-year-old BRITs Critics’ Choice Award-winner wrote: “What a trip. Somehow ended up building a studio and recording this album with my best mates. Hypersonic Missiles is released on August 9th. Excited for you all to hear it. Here’s the preorder link- first orders from my store come with a signed beermat: https://samfender.lnk.to/AlbumSO (sic)”
Sam released the title track, ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, as a single earlier this year.
And he previously admitted the song was influenced by his love of musical icon Bruce Springsteen, whom he said he was “weaned on” as a young boy.
He said: “I’ve been f***ing weaned on him. My brother bought us ‘Born To Run’ when I was 14 or 15 and it just fucking changed my world.
“At first I was a bit confused by this slightly over-the-top production, but the words were just so good. Lyrically, ‘Born To Run’ is one of the best albums out there and it changed my world when I heard it.
“I’d never heard rock music that sounded that fresh, even though that record was released in 1975. I’ve also always wanted to do that Phil Spector production and add a saxophone to it.
“I’d say it’s a nod to Bruce Springsteen, although my publisher says it’s a headbutt.”
The album is also set to include ‘Leave Fast’, ‘Dead Boys’, and ‘That Sound’, which were all released as singles in 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna has announced a new album, ‘Madame X’.
The ‘Like A Prayer’ hitmaker has confirmed she will be releasing a new EP – her first since 2015’s ‘Rebel Heart’ and her 14th studio album in all.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, she said: “I decided to call my record Madame X … Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, bringing light to dark places. She is a cha cha instructor, a professor, a head of state, a housekeeper, an equestrian, a prisoner, a student, a teacher, a nun, a cabaret singer, a saint, a prostitute.”
And posting another two short clips, Madonna captioned them: “Madame X is a spy in the house of Love … What song is Madame X playing…………… (sic)”
Madonna had been teasing ‘Madame X’ over the last couple of weeks, posting a picture of a red X on a black background on her social media accounts.
Last October, Madonna confirmed she was working on her follow-up to ‘Rebel Heart’.
She said: “I’m finishing my record, which I’m going to release next year.”
Madonna is also expected to perform a song off this new album at the the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel next month.
It has been confirmed that the pop superstar will perform, where she is expected to sing two songs, a new track and a classic hit.
And later this year, Madonna is also set to go on her first world tour in three years.
An industry source said: “Madonna is really excited about performing her new music and has spared no expense with the production. There will be the usual army of dancers, slick lighting and even some pyrotechnics. She might be 60 but she works incredibly hard to keep her body in the best shape possible and plans to show it off in some amazing outfits, so fans can expect an array of dramatic costume changes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matty Healy doesn’t think paid meet and greets are “cool”.
The 1975 frontman has insisted he and his band will never charge their fans to get a picture with them, because he doesn’t like the idea of “making music exclusive”, as he says that’s “not what music’s about”.
He said: “What is it? Like 300 to a thousand bucks. It’s just not cool because you’re making music exclusive and that’s not what music’s about. You’re saying to people, ‘This relationship that we have in art goes so far until you can’t afford it anymore.'”
Matty also spoke about which 1975 track he feels perfectly sums up the band, and whilst he admitted that every song has its place with the rockers, he thinks ‘Fallingforyou’ – which appeared on their 2013 EP ‘IV’ – would be the best choice.
Speaking to KROQ backstage at Coachella, he said: “[Every song], because every time I get excited about a song I have to be like, ‘This is the song that is The 1975’. I know that it should be ‘Love It If We Made It’ but I’d want it to be ‘Fallingforyou’ … but that’s a more left field one.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Chocolate’ hitmaker has previously hit out at artists who charge fans for meet and greets, as he claimed they were profiting off of “human connection”.
He fumed: “Who came up with payed meet and greets? Did they think ‘Surely there must be something else we can monetise……..OH! Human connection!! They’ll eat that up!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Morrissey has been forced to axe shows in Canada, due to a “medical emergency”.
The former Smiths star postponed two shows in Vancouver scheduled for Sunday (14.04.19) and Monday (15.04.19), with the gigs now set to take place on the same dates in October, after a mystery “accident” which “occurred” whilst he was travelling in Europe.
The singer/songwriter is said to be “on the path to a swift recovery” and can’t wait to make his return to the city.
Ticketmaster said in a statement: “Due to a medical emergency stemming from an accident incurred while travelling in Europe, Morrissey will be forced to postpone his performances in Vancouver to October 14 and 15, 2019.
“Spirits are high and the artist is on the path to a swift recovery. All tickets will be valid for the new date and exchanges will not be necessary. Thank you for your understanding.
“Morrissey looks forward to making his long-awaited return to the city and wishes to deeply thank everyone for their patience.”
According to the 59-year-old star’s official Facebook events page, the Edmonton show on April 18 is reported to have also been pushed back, however this has not yet been confirmed.
The ‘All You Need Is Me’ singer is due to reconvene the Canadian run on April 26 in Toronto.
The ticketing company added: “All remaining dates on Morrissey’s tour will resume as planned, commencing in Toronto on Friday April 26.”
The tour will be the first time Morrissey has set foot in Canada in 15 years, as he previously avoided the country in protest of their annual seal hunt.
Morrissey plans on making “sizeable” donations to animal charities in each Canadian city he plays.
He said last year: “My decision to return to Canada after almost 15 years of protest against its savage and Neanderthal annual Baby Seal Kill is entirely because my stance was ultimately of no use and helped no one.
“My voice was drowned out by the merciless swing of spiked axes crushing the heads of babies. On my return to Canada I feel that I can be of more use by making sizeable donations to animal protection groups in each city that I play.”

The pop superstar teamed up with the chart-topping German-Russian DJ for a rendition of their hit song ‘365’ during his set at the Empire Polo Club ground in Indio, California.
The ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ hitmaker had already teased her appearance at the famous festival by taking to Twitter to advise her 107 million followers to check the live stream of Coachella after tuning in to watch her on ‘American Idol’.
She wrote: “After you’re done watching Idol, East Coast (and before yours begins, West Coast), you might want to check out the Coachella live stream… around 7:30pm poss? http://YouTube.com/Coachella – Channel #GetYouAGirlWhoCanDoBoth (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lulu is set to play a 35-date UK tour later this year.
The ‘Shout’ hitmaker has announced an extensive career-spanning run, entitled the ‘On Fire Tour’, which kicks off at The Anvil in Basingstoke on September 19 and runs right through to November 2, when the 70-year-old Scottish music legend will play Barnstaple in south west England.
She said: “I’ve so enjoyed touring with my amazing band over the past few years that it didn’t take very long for me to get the urge to hit the road again.
“We’ll be playing here, there and everywhere, so I invite fans old and new to come along and share a great night covering my six decades in music.”
Lulu released her most famous hit ‘Shout’ back in 1964, whilst other notable inclusions in her discography include her James Bond theme for 1974’s ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ and her 1993 duet with Take That on ‘Relight My Fire’.
The star is currently a special guest on Take That’s ‘Greatest Hits Live Tour’, where she has been performing their hit song each night.
Last year saw the 1969 ‘Eurovision’ winner return to the West End for the first time in 33 years.
Lulu landed a starring role in hit London musical ’42nd Street’ as Dorothy Brock, a Broadway diva who can sing but can’t dance.
The 60s icon, who took over from Sheena Easton, said at the time:
“I’m still ticking, so why not? One of the things I am blessed with – there’s no doubt about it – is to be still here.”
The pop legend had last appeared on the West End in 1985 when she played Miss Adelaide in ‘Guys And Dolls’.
The ‘To Sir, with Love’ star added how “blessed” she is that she has the energy to be able to perform at her age and credited her stamina to her “disciplined” healthy lifestyle.
She said: “I’m blessed with having a lot of energy. I’ve always had bundles of it. You have to be disciplined. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I try to eat healthily.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Slash says Guns N’ Roses will start work on their new album in “the fall”.
The ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ group’s guitarist has revealed the band – which is currently comprised of himself, Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer – are yet to enter the studio, but he is planning on putting aside some time to solely to work on the original line-up’s first record since 1993’s ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’.
Asked where they are at in regards to a new record, Slash replied: “I wouldn’t say we’ve really sat down and had those sessions yet.”
In an interview with BelfastLive, the 53-year-old rock legend, who is also touring and planning to pen new material for his other band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, continued: “The Conspirators are finishing up in mid-August and then Guns is going out in late September/October, so in the fall.
“But at the same time, we’re focused on working towards this new record that everybody’s been asking about. So start focusing on that in earnest. And that’s it.
“I’m not thinking about anything else while that is going on. That’s really the main focus.
“By the time the Conspirators tour is done, I will have written enough material for the next Conspirators record that whenever that break comes up with Guns N’ Roses we can go on to do that.
“We’ll just juggle all this stuff, schedules permitting.”
The ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ hitmaker admitted that he is clueless when it comes to what the record will sound like.
He confessed: “I have no f***ing idea. I really couldn’t tell you. It’s like anything else – you don’t know what it is until it’s done.”
Slash’ album update comes after bassist Duff confirmed the record is “real” but the band want to surprise their fans, whilst he admitted they won’t be tied down to any kind of schedule.
He said: “Oh, it’s real, but the fun part and the cool part about Guns N’ Roses is we don’t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens.
“It’s never been that band that there’s a direct schedule of how we do things. I’ve heard some magnificent stuff that Axl has, really cool stuff he’s been working on.
“So I’m excited about the possibilities with that, of course. I don’t mean to get anybody rabid. Our day will happen when it happens, that’s for sure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink Floyd are planning to release a special limited edition vinyl of their record ‘The Division Bell’.
The band are marking the 25th anniversary of their final studio album ‘The Division Bell’ with a limited edition double vinyl, which is coloured in a translucent blue to echo the original limited blue vinyl release in 1994.
‘The Division Bell’ was the last studio album to be recorded by band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and the late Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008 after a battle with cancer.
After its release in 1994, the album debuted at number one in the UK, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand, and managed to climb to the top spot in six other countries.
In America, the record clung to the number one spot for four weeks, and to date, it has reached total album sales of over 12 million.
Speaking at the time, David Gilmour said of the record: “The three of us went into Britannia Row studios, and improvised for two weeks. Playing together and starting from scratch was interesting and exciting, it kick-started the album and the process was very good, it was collaborative and felt more cohesive.”
The album features 11 tracks, including ‘Marooned’, which won the group a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, and ‘Keep Talking’, which features a sample of the late Stephen Hawking.
The special edition of ‘The Division Bell’ is available for pre-order now, and will be released on June 7 this year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy has pulled out of Snowbombing Festival, after accusing the event of “racial profiling”.
The ‘Big For Your Boots’ rapper was due to take to the stage at the Austrian festival on Thursday (11.04.19), but cancelled his appearance just hours before he was due to perform, after alleging his manager and friends were stopped by security because they had “reason to believe someone was carrying a weapon”.
In a post on his Instagram story, he wrote: “My manager and all my friends who were at the festival were racially profiled, targeted, and aggressively handled because they had “reason to believe someone was carrying a weapon”. The security targeted them (despite no one fitting the description), were physically aggressive when handling them and there’s been no effort from the festival to actually deal and address the problem.”
Stormzy, 25, then went on to add that he wouldn’t be performing at the festival in order to “make a point against racism and racial profiling”.
He continued: “My sincerest apologies to anyone who travelled all that way to watch me perform I’m genuinely upset that you’ve wasted your time and money and that burns me more than you’d know.
“The last ever thing I wanna do is let down anyone who’s taken time out to support me.
“So please hear me out, I too would be fuming if I travelled and spent money to go and watch an artist and they pull out last minute.
“However if these are the drastic steps that I need to take to make a point against racism and racial profiling then trust me I’m taking it.”
Snowbombing Festival has released a statement on the incident, claiming security was simply follow “protocol”, but said they were “doing everything” they can to sort the situation.
The statement read: “Snowbombing regrets to inform you that Stormzy will no longer be performing at the festival this evening.
“Last night (Wednesday 10) Snowbombing’s security were alerted to the possibility that an individual at the festival was allegedly carrying a weapon.
“In accordance with protocol, a small number of attendees, including Stormzy’s manager were escorted to the nearest exit, searched and no weapon was found.

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton is “really nervous” about the Spice Girls tour because of her “terrible” memory.
The 43-year-old singer is set to reconnect with Geri Horner, Mel B, and Mel C for a number of concerts this summer and with the start of rehearsals just a few days away, the blonde beauty is feeling anxious because she’s never been very good at remembering choreography.
She admitted: “We start rehearsing on Monday and I’m really nervous, I’ve got the worst memory out of all of the girls, so I’m nervous I’m not going to remember any of the dance routines… I’m feeling really nervous.
“My memory is terrible so I’m worried I’m not going to remember them.”
And the ‘2 Become 1’ singer is also worried she’s going to end up injured.
She added: “Also, I have cracked an ankle on every tour, I’ve fallen over. I’ve got a weak ankle.”
Victoria Beckham has declined to be involved with the group’s reunion and Emma admitted she never expected to take part because it was clear when they briefly got back together for the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony that her time in the band was something the fashion designer wanted to “move on” from.
Speaking to talk show host Jonathan Ross, Emma said: “I think we kind of realised at the Olympics that maybe it was something that [Victoria] didn’t want to do all the time anymore and I think we were all nervous at the Olympics but I think it showed with Victoria that maybe this was something she wanted to move on from.”
And Emma doesn’t think it’s likely that her friend will make a surprise appearance at any of the gigs on the tour.
She said: “That is not going to happen, I’m afraid.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Westlife will release their new album ‘Spectrum’ later this year.
The boy band – made up of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Markus Feehily and Shane Filan – have confirmed their first new studio record since 2010’s ‘Gravity’ will drop on September 6, and they think the LP’s title perfectly sums up their newfound energy.
The group told the MailOnline: “The title ‘Spectrum’ came from us talking about how we feel younger, happier and more energetic than we ever have in our career.
“‘Spectrum’ is a title that represents the various different shades and colours of our personalities, vocals and general perspectives that all blend together in a unique way to create Westlife.
“It’s also a word that represents the various shades and colours in the band, meaning it’s the perfect metaphor for our different points of view and perspectives but together, they somehow join to work perfectly.”
The band have teamed up with the likes of Steve Mac, James Bay and Ed Sheeran for the upcoming collection, with the latter writing the album’s first single ‘Hello My Love’.
And the band feels the LP displays “the very best version of Westlife possible”.
They added: “We’re all driven by trying to create the best album of our careers. Our fans deserve the very best version of Westlife possible and with this album we feel that we’ve achieved that.
“The album has everything that we love in music, heartfelt emotional songs and also great uptempo’s that are designed for our stadium performances.
“We couldn’t be happier with how the last few months in the studio have gone and we cannot wait for our fans to hear the end results.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran’s collaboration with BTS has been confirmed.
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker has teamed up with the K-Pop sensations on the “delicate” track ‘Make It Right’ on their album ‘Map of The Soul: Persona’, which is released today (12.04.19) at 10am in the UK (6pm KST).
The 28-year-old superstar previously teased that he had worked on a song with the ‘IDOL’ hitmakers – comprised of – V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook and Suga – and that they “might be messing with” it, but insisted he is a huge fan of their work.
He previously said: “I actually wrote a song that I hear they might be messing with. I heard this the other day.
“I really like BTS though, I think they’re great.”
RM also name-dropped Ed when he was asked who his favourite artists are.
He said: “I love James Blake, I love Jorja Smith, and Ed Sheeran of course.”
Whilst his bandmate Suga shared a picture of the band in the studio in December, and dedicated the post to the flame-haired singer/songwriter.
He captioned the Twitter snap : “hmm… this is for you @edsheeran #SUGA. (sic)”
Ed joins ‘Without Me’ hitmaker Halsey in having a collaboration on the album – which is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Love Yourself’ series – as she has provided vocals on ‘Boy With Luv’.
And former ‘X Factor UK’ star Ryan Lawrie and the production duo Arcades – comprised of Max Graham and Matt Thomson – revealed the songs they worked on have also made the cut.
Ryan penned the track ‘Mikrokosmos’ with Marcus McCoan and Arcades, and the latter have also worked on ‘Jamais Vu’.
Songwriter Ryan, 22, couldn’t contain his excitement when he shared the news on Monday night (08.04.19).
He tweeted: “So, this is probably the best moment of my f***ing life. I HAVE WRITTEN A SONG ON THE NEW BTS ALBUM – MAP OF THE SOUL – PERSONA!!!!!!!!!
Dreams come true.

He teased that BTS fans “aren’t even ready” for the song he’s worked on and wishes he could “hug” everyone who has supported him.

Meanwhile, the South Korean boyband are gearing up for their ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour’, which sees them play eight stadiums across North and South America, Europe and Asia.
The ‘IDOL’ hitmakers will play two sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 1 and June 2.
