OHMYGOSSIP — Adele is wanted by Daniel Craig to record the Bond theme again.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker penned the titular theme for ‘Skyfall’ in 2012 and she won an Oscar, Golden Globe, BRIT Award and Grammy for the hit song.
Daniel – who will put on his 007 tuxedo for one last time for ‘Bond 25’ next year – reportedly has Adele as his “top target” for the job, however, an insider has claimed the 31-year-old pop superstar is yet to respond to his plea.
The source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Adele was still a top target for the team and Daniel especially a few weeks ago.
The pair really bonded during the award season’s run for ‘Skyfall’ and he felt she brought a magic touch to the theme.
“The conversation started and the question has been asked by Daniel if she would return.
“But she has not responded as yet either way. “However there is still time as filming has just started and the script is not even fully finished.”
And Adele’s record label Sony think it would be a great move for Adele – who is believed to be working on her first record since 2015’s ’25’.
They added: “Adele has already been working on new ideas for her next album, so this opportunity would be enormous.”
The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer previously said she wouldn’t want to return to sing another 007 theme because she wouldn’t want to “jinx” her career.
She explained: “I would never do it again because it went so well and I would never want to jinx it.
“After 21 I was like, why did I want to ruin things? Then I heard it was [the 23rd Bond film] and I was 23, and it felt a little like fate.”
The likes of Dua Lipa and Sam Smith, who won the Academy Award for Best Original Song with ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ for 2015’s ‘Spectre’, have had their names thrown around for the job.
However, ‘Electricity’ hitmaker Dua insisted: “I don’t know. I would love to do it, but I’m not recording it … so far … I don’t want to jinx it. I would love to do it.”
Whilst Ed Sheeran revealed he wrote a Bond theme three years ago “just in case”.
The ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker said he hadn’t been approached to write a song for one of the movies, but if bosses of the spy saga do ever knock at his door for help on the soundtrack, he’s all ready to go.
He said: “With Bond, I’ve had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case!”
While the ‘Perfect’ singer reassured fans his Bond theme is “good”, he didn’t want to give away any details about the song, including the title.
He said: “I’m not going to say ’cause someone might steal it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue blocked plans for a biopic on her life.
The Australian pop princess has admitted she is not keen on the idea of someone else portraying her in a movie – like Taron Egerton did for Sir Elton John’s recent film ‘Rocketman’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, which saw Rami Malek play late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury – and has already turned down an offer.
Though the ‘Dancing’ hitmaker said she may change her mind later down the line and also revealed there is a documentary in the pipeline.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Having someone else play me? It has been mentioned, it’s not been actioned.
“I don’t know how I feel about that but, look, it might happen one day but it’s not on the cards at the minute.
“How do you condense that into an hour and a half? You need a great director to edit all of that, to tell enough of the story and get enough of it in.”
The 51-year-old singer – who finally gets to play Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage on the Sunday afternoon’s Legend slot this weekend, 14 years after she pulled out of her headline slot as she was having treatment for breast cancer – also admitted that it’s very “emotional” looking back at hold archive footage of her life and career.
She said: “We are talking about a documentary and to me it feels like climbing Mount Everest.
“I’ve gone through a lot, and am still going through, a lot of archival stuff – photographs, film, all kinds of work things, for the greatest hits.
“I’m normally so concerned with moving forward that to have this moment of retrospection, being forced to look at what I’ve done, is not something I’d naturally do, so it’s good. It’s fun. It can be emotional.”
Kylie recently admitted she’d resigned herself to the fact she’d lost her chance to sing at Worthy Farm, until the offer came this year.
She said: “I would have been one of the only female solo artists in the festival’s history to headline.
“I really thought I missed my ­opportunity and, as the years went by, I said to myself, ‘Well this just isn’t going to happen’.”
And when she takes to the stage, the ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker is expecting it to be tear-jerking.
She said: “I will remember what happened those years ago and my ­overriding feeling will just be of gratitude and, how fragile life can be.
“Will there be tears? Absolutely. Let’s just say I will be wearing ­waterproof mascara…
“Yes, it’s going to be emotional, but I try to remind myself… it’s a ­celebration. I’m not trying to do anything new. Me, the crowd and 31 or 32 years of history together.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Vengaboys have recorded stripped-back versions of two of their biggest hits to make their 20th anniversary.
The 90s Dutch Eurodance group – comprised of Kim Sasabone, Denise Post-van Rijswijk, Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa – recorded an acoustic version of ‘Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!’ backstage in their dressing room on tour in Australian last year and an unplugged rendition of ‘We’re Going To Ibiza!’ from their hotel room at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza.
There will be some of their other hits on the way, but in the meantime, they have released the two 1999 hits for the two-decade milestone.
The band said: “At one of our gigs the audience kept on asking for an encore.
“So we decided – on the spot – to answer their cries with acoustic versions of some of our songs, and they loved it!
“Now we recorded a bunch of those versions – some backstage, some in hotel rooms.
“Two of those are being released exactly 20 years after they hit number one around The World.”
The acoustic release comes after the group admitted they “focus on their old hits” rather than new songs because they just want to please their fans.
The foursome get such a huge buzz from seeing the way their fans react to the dance hits that they are shelving plans for new material for now.
Kim said: “Well, we go to the studio sometimes. Sometimes we don’t; sometimes we do. We fool around and do some new stuff, but it never really gets to something that’s perfect. So that’s why we keep on focusing on those old hits because we noticed, after performing for all these years, like, since we’ve come back in 2006, we released a couple of songs, but people wanna hear mainly our old songs. So the last couple of years, we are more focusing on that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Cash told Sheryl Crow their duet ‘Redemption Day’ would be the “cornerstone” of her album before he passed away.
The country pop legend originally recorded the song for her self-titled 1996 album and she has re-released it for her upcoming collaborations LP ‘Threads’.
Sheryl penned the emotional track after a trip to war-torn Bosnia with Hillary Clinton in 1996 and she was later invited to perform the song at the funeral of Johnny’s wife June Carter Cash in May 2003, four months before the music legend himself tragically passed away in the September.
Speaking at a playback for ‘Threads’ in London this week, Sheryl recalled: “I wrote a song about the questions that I had about [her trip to Bosnia].
“Many years later and I was dear friends with June Carter Cash (Johnny’s wife) and when she passed, the family asked if I would sing at her funeral and a couple of weeks later.”
Johnny had been given a copy of the song from June’s son and told Sheryl that it reignited his desire to continue making music after the devastating loss of his wife.
She continued: “I got a call from Johnny and he said, ‘My son-in-law’s given me this song that you wrote and I would like to record it.’
“Having seen him a few weeks before just completely destroyed by losing his wife, he said, ‘I feel like I’m not done musically.’
“So he asked me all sorts of questions about the lyrics and why I’d written certain lines, which I think is why we believe it’s his song he makes it his own.
“He recorded it, he sent it to me and we had another discussion about whether I liked it or not and of course, it was brilliant and very heartfelt, and then he passed away.
“Before he passed away he said, ‘This is going to be the cornerstone of this record and it needs to come out now.’
And that’s exactly how I felt when I wrote it because I felt it had everything to do with that moment.”
The ‘All I Wanna Do’ hitmaker sought the permission of Johnny’s family to re-release the song – which also featured on his posthumous ‘American VI: Ain’t No Grave’ LP in 2010 – with his vocals over her piano playing to feature on ‘Threads’, because she felt the song is all about “this moment” with the state of politics in the US and knowing that the ‘A Thing Called Love’ hitmaker was such a “great patriot” and outspoken on current affairs.
She said: “Cut to making this project and we’re experiencing what we’re experiencing and in America the truth is really under attack and our constitution is really being challenged when it comes to free press and I felt like, ‘This is the moment’.
“So I stripped out his vocal from the demo and I played piano to it and then I sent it to his family and said ‘Would you be okay if used his vocal and we released it?’ And they were very supportive and generous about it and now we have this version.”
She added: “I think the thing for me that was profound is that Johnny, knowing who he was when he was alive, he was a great patriot, a great American songwriter, poet, rock’n’roll icon, he was very outspoken about a lot of things that were not necessarily popular and I think if he were alive today, he would be speaking about these things, it would matter to him and it makes so much more of a difference to me to hear him on it than anyone I could ever imagine.”
‘Threads’, released on August 30, also features Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris on ‘Prove You Wrong’, Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples on ‘Live Wire’, plus songs with the likes of Eric Clapton, Sting and Willie Nelson.
Sheryl returns to Glastonbury festival to perform on The Pyramid Stage for the first time in 22 years on Friday (28.06.19).

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has claimed leaving Oasis was easy because he was “restless” and “bored” of the band.
The Britpop group’s 52-year-old former guitarist quit the band in June 2009, after a backstage fight with his rival sibling and frontman Liam Gallagher, 46, at their show in Paris, which saw him swing his guitar around his older brother’s head and resulted in their split.
Noel has now admitted he was fed up with making “stadium rock” tunes for their fans and so it was no “struggle” to move on.
Speaking on Eddie Hearn’s ‘No Passion, No Point’ podcast on BBC Radio 5 Live, he said: “One of the reasons it wasn’t much of a struggle leaving Oasis was that we’d allowed ourselves to be dictated to by our audience.
“They wanted stadium rock and we thought that was it.
“Towards the end of Oasis I was getting restless and bored with the music.”
The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker – who was the chief songwriter in the band – also credits his own “taste” in music for Oasis’ success and his solo career.
He said: “And now I trust my instincts. And if it sounds good to me…
“I picked all the singles in Oasis and I got by on my taste running that band.
“And more or less I’ve got it right so when I’m in the studio and I’ve come up with (new single) ‘Black Star Dancing’, I think: ‘Well if I like it, a healthy percentage of people will like it too’.”
Noel also admitted that he is not about fame and would rather people didn’t know “the real” him, which comes after Liam joked in his recent documentary, ‘As It Was’, that his brother “wears many masks”.
He said: “I’m quite a private person.
“I’m not interested in people seeing what socks I’m wearing or taking a photo of a croissant and going: ‘Breakfast anybody?’
“I don’t want anyone to know anything about me at all.
“I’m not interested in people seeing the real me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chemical Brothers have a secret weapon to ensure a successful Glastonbury set tonight (29.06.19).
Founding member Ed Simons watched the dance act from the audience during his hiatus from touring and Tom Rowlands believes his gap year has helped them to be better than ever.
The Chemical Brothers headlined the Other Stage in 2015 but Tom was joined by video designer Adam Smith as Ed was taking time off to write his dissertation for his master’s degree.
Tom told the Daily Star newspaper: “Annoyingly now he often interjects with, ‘Well as I’m the only person who’s seen The Chemical Brothers live, I can tell you that doesn’t work.’
“It was hard him not being there, but I think in the long run it’s good because it sorta renewed his enthusiasm for what we get to do.”
Their current album ‘No Geography’ features the vocals of Aurora and they credit Glastonbury for bringing them together with the singer.
Ed said: “When Glastonbury’s on, it’s on the TV the whole weekend. I think Tom was having his tea with his children and saw her broadcast and was really captured by her charisma and her voice.
“So it tunnelled from there really, approaching someone that we hand’t met or worked with before. I think it was a fortuitous watching of the TV when she was playing at Glasto.”
Chemical Brothers will headline The Other Stage at Glastonbury.
Meanwhile, Chemical Brothers recently insisted there’s nowhere more “exciting” to play than Glastonbury.
The ‘Galvanize’ hitmakers had a “religious experience” when they saw Orbital perform at the festival in 1994, and after bring booked for their 12th appearance this summer, the duo enjoy the gig just as much as they did the first time.
Ed said:” We both had a religious experience [seeing Orbital]. I still get tingly when I think about it. We wanted to do that.
“It’s still to be the most exciting concert you can play.”
The pair broke records in 2000 by performing in front of what was believed to be the largest crowd in the festival’s history but can barely remember the show, so try now to take in the moments much more.
Tom told Q magazine: “Early on you think everything’s going to last forever, whereas now you think, realistically, how many more times are we going to get to do this amazing thing? You become more aware of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey have teased their collaboration for the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot.
The pop superstars have channelled the titular trio of Angels – who will be played by Kristen Stewart (Sabina Wilson), Naomi Scott (Lena Houghlin) and Ella Balinska (Jane Kano) – on a soundtrack for the upcoming comedy action film.
Alongside a 14-second clip of the song, Miley tweeted: “WE ARE COMING! @CharliesAngels @ArianaGrande @LanaDelRey (sic)”.
The video simply contained the word “uploading” under the official logo for the Elizabeth Banks adaptation, which is due to hit cinemas in November.
Ariana simply wrote: “trailer tomorrow @charliesangels (sic)”
And Lana, 34, tagged them in a post with the love heart emoji alongside their names.
She added: “Trailer tomorrow! @charliesangels
@arianagrande @mileycyrus (sic)”
It’s not the first time Miley and Ariana, who are both 26, have teamed up on a duet.
During the One Love Manchester benefit concert in June 2017 – which was held following the Manchester terror attack at Ariana’s Manchester Arena concert in May – the pair performed a rendition of 1986’s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ by Crowded House.
When Miley was asked if she plans to collaborate with Ariana in December, she admitted she was keen to form a “real relationship” with the ‘Dangerous Woman’ hitmaker and wants to be her best friend and go clubbing with her.
The ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ hitmaker said: “She’s here in New York actually and we’ve been texting.
“I just want to go to the club with her. I want to play our new song and go to the club.
“I’ve been trying to start a real relationship and not ask her to work or collaborate too much.
“I feel like she could use a friend and I could use a friend, I’d love to start that relationship with her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Young says he will “retire” if Glastonbury honour him with a Sunday afternoon Legend’s slot.
The ‘Leave Right Now’ hitmaker doesn’t think he has a chance of performing the special set on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm, which Kylie Minogue will play this weekend, but if he ever did land the gig, he’d go out on a high.
Will told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I’d love the afternoon slot like Kylie.
“After 20 years in the business it would be nice.
“I think I would have to retire if I did that.
“But coming from a talent show I probably wouldn’t get the gig. But why not? James Morrison and James Blunt have done it and they’re not ‘old’.”
Over the years, music legends including Dolly Parton, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Lionel Richie and Bee Gee Barry Gibb have performed the Legend’s slot.
Will played the festival’s Avalon Stage in 2016 and was blown away by the packed out crowd.
He said: “I’d gone before but I didn’t know what to expect as a performer because it’s not my ticket, people don’t go to watch Will Young.
“And the Avalon stage was far away so I was amazed so many people were there and they were all crammed outside, there was even a police woman who got off her horse to watch.”
Will shot to fame as the winner of talent show ‘Pop Idol’ in 2002, and he has admitted being associated with a TV show “isn’t always helpful” when it comes to being taken seriously in the music industry, but he wouldn’t change his past.
He admitted: “Being linked to a talent show isn’t always helpful but I’m proud of where I came from, to have been somebody who sang a Westlife song on TV to everything I’ve achieved since.”
The 40-year-old star had quit music after being dropped by his record label in 2016.
However, he recently returned with his first new music since his 2016 EP ‘Summer Covers’, his seventh studio album ‘Lexicon’.
Will – who used his downtime to focus on his mental health – feels much better for his hiatus from the pop world and he now knows how he needs to work to stay healthy going forward.
He shared recently: “Everyone knows when a pop star says, ‘I’m not going to sing again’, two years down the line … I’m guilty of the comeback album. I was overworked. Now I’ve worked out how to do in a way that makes me happy. I do a four-day week. I chose to write less of the music this time. I would find the writing quite stressful, which of course meant that my writing was better because I wasn’t feeling so stressed. It kind of proved my point to myself. The more relaxed I was, the more fun I was having, the better the output.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Former Creation Records boss Tim Abbott believes Liam and Noel Gallagher will eventually reform Oasis.
The iconic label signed Oasis in 1993 and the Alan McGee co-founded firm’s former managing director has compared the former bandmates and siblings’ rivalry to soap opera ‘Coronation Street’ and admitted he doesn’t believe the drama will last.
Despite the pair being at each other’s throats for years, ever since their backstage bust-up at their final concert in Paris in 2009, Tim thinks they will resolve their issues in the end and get the band back together.
Speaking on Channel 5 documentary ‘Liam vs Noel: Brothers at War’, which airs tonight (27.06.19), he said: “Do I think they’re gonna re-form? Yes, I do. It’s the original indie soap, it will run longer than ­ Coronation Street.”
Tim feels the ‘Some Might Say’ hitmakers fell off “the wagon” when their 1995 LP ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ propelled them to global superstardom.
He said: “You have that in your life or in your career and everyone is going to go a bit potty. The wheel was gonna come off the wagon.”
Noel, 52, has persistently ruled out a reunion with Liam, 46, and recently labelled him a “fat man in an anorak”.
The ‘Wonderwall’ group’s former guitarist-and-songwriter slammed the ex-frontman after he suggested he should be made Prime Minister and make it “the law” for the Britpop group to reunite.
Liam tweeted: “Get oasis back together I’d make it law (sic)”
However, he was less than impressed by Liam’s remark and mocked his younger sibling for his appearance and for wearing parkas all the time.
Noel, who called Liam’s fans who hate his solo work ‘Parka Monkeys’ in the past, said: “If they want to hear old Oasis songs they’re being played by a fat man in an anorak somewhere, you know, with shorts on so they can go and see that.
“I’ve no desire at all to get back involved with Oasis.”
The ‘Black Star Dancing’ hitmaker – who quit Oasis immediately after their Paris gig fight – insists their fans are stuck in the past and “refuse to believe” it’s over.
He continued: “I’m afraid Oasis is in the past and that’s it.
“There’s a lot of people in England who refuse to accept that it’s over.
“It’s like when they watch boxsets and they don’t like the ending.
“They refuse to believe that is the way it ends because they didn’t want it to end like that.
“I’m afraid life is not like that, you know.”
The ‘Little By Little’ hitmaker – who is estimated to be worth around $60 million – also insisted he doesn’t need the money and is focused on making “new” solo music now.
He said: “Why would we get back together?
“We will never make new music, f*** that. To do what? One more tour and make more money?
“What’s the point of that?
“I’m in a place where it’s about ‘now’. It’s about creating new stuff.”
And just last week, Noel quipped that he’d rather “put s**t on a pizza” and eat it than listen to Liam’s solo music.
When asked if he’d rather watch his rival football team Manchester United win a quadruple, or watch the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker perform at Wembley, Noel said: “I think I’d rather eat my own s**t. I’d rather put s**t on a pizza and be force fed it than listen to that bozo f***ing murder his own songs.”

OHMYGOSSIP — MNEK is hosting an LGBTQ+ songwriting camp for Pride in London.
The openly gay songwriter-and-producer behind the hits of Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato and Stormzy has invited artists including Olly Alexander of Years & Years, L Devine, Ryan Ashley, Rina Sawayama and Kloe to the event at Warner Chappell Studio in West London on July 4 and July 5.
The group will also be joined by producers Jon Shave, Leo Kalyan and Sakima and the studio will become a hub of creativity with people of all backgrounds welcome.
MNEK said: “I’ve set up this camp to have a couple days specifically for Pride but to also invite some LGBT talent that I really rate to collaborate with each other.
“The community is so creative and full of really gifted writers and producers so I’m really excited that we are getting to come together, be there for each other and make music for this camp!”
The writing camp is sponsored by Pride in Music – a charity “working to create a cross-industry network for the LGBTQ+ community and allies” in the UK music industry.
MNEK previously admitted he’s looking forward to the day when there are more “out” LGBTQ+ musicians.
The ‘Never Forget You’ hitmaker believes that although the industry is more accepting than ever of queer artists, he’s hoping one day everyone will be able to speak openly about their sexuality in the spotlight, like he and his showbiz pals Olly (Alexander) and Australian star Troye Sivan are.
He said: “Yes, there are obviously progressive people such as myself, Olly [Alexander] and Troye [Sivan], but everyone’s coming out story is different.
“Everyone’s journey as a gay man or woman is different; it’s personal. We want there to be an influx of people who suddenly feel more comfortable being themselves.”
MNEK – whose real name is Uzoechi Emenike -admitted it the time that he was among one of few current musicians who are blatant about sexuality.
He added: “In reality everyone is different, so it will be different rates, with different people, in different families. Whether someone comes out or not depends on that.
“You said me, Olly and Troy-but that’s it. The second there’s a proper host of out gay musicians, that will be the moment.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea says seeing her new album packaged up is a dream come true.
The 28-year-old singer is getting ready to release her upcoming record ‘In My Defense’ – her first full length LP since 2014 debut ‘The New Classic’ – and she is excited about unveiled the artwork on Friday (28.06.19) when the pre-orders go live.
She tweeted: “I just saw my album packaging all finished in all physical formats and I feel tingly.

Iggy also revealed she would be debuting new songs when she plays Pride in the Park in Chicago at the weekend, including one track which will be available to everyone pre-ordering the upcoming album.
She wrote: “2 unreleased songs in Chicago and 1 that will have been out 24hrs…. you w***es better lip sync & act like you know!”
The update comes after Iggy revealed in April she had to re-record some vocals for the LP after her hard drive crashed.
Although she didn’t lose any entire songs she wasn’t able to retrieve certain files from her drive when it broke beyond repair, meaning some changes had to be made.
She said at the time: “My hard drive crashed last week. it was unrecoverable. I used a dif engineer for a few sessions and only saved that work to my drive so not everything was double backed up. I didn’t lose full songs. I’m hope to be done officially on Friday. (sic)”
A fan replied to the tweet, writing: “That sucks really, i hope u didnt lost album songs (sic)”
The star responded: “I didn’t lose any songs, I just don’t have updated vocals to some things and so have had to re record vocals etc. It’s small but time consuming. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Eavis has quashed claims that Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are performing a secret set at the Glastonbury Festival 2019.
The co-organiser of the legendary Worthy Farm event – who books the acts with her father, the festival’s founder Michael Eavis – says that although many fans would like to see the pair perform as their characters Ally and Jack from their film ‘A Star is Born’ she claims there is no truth in Edith Bowman’s claims that Bradley, 44, told her he’d been in talks with Emily and her manager husband Nick Dewey about singing on the Park Stage.
Taking to her Twitter account to extinguish the excitement, Emily wrote: “Before this one gets out of control … the answer is no, that isn’t happening. (Although you can watch the amazing A Star Is Born in our Pilton Palais cinema tent at 4.30pm on Friday.) (sic)”
Radio and TV presenter Edith let slip Bradley and Gaga’s potential set during an appearance on television series ‘Sunday Brunch’.
She said: “I may know one [surprise act], I can’t possibly say.
“On my podcast I had Bradley Cooper talking about ‘A Star is Born’, and when I spoke to him I was like, ‘I just want to see you guys do a gig, you know play it live.’
“He was like, ‘Well we have been talking to Nick and Emily Eavis about it, we’d do the Park Stage,’ and I said that would be amazing. Bradley Cooper and Gaga doing the Park Stage.”
Glastonbury gets underway on Wednesday (26.06.19) following a one-year break, and there are still two special slots yet to be filled.
At the time of writing, the Park Stage has a vacancy at 11.30am to 12.10pm on Saturday (29.06.19), and 6.15pm to 7.15pm on the same day.
For the 2018 movie, Bradley filmed scenes as his alter ego Jack Maine on the famous Pyramid Stage at the Worthy Farm site in Somerset, South West England. He was allowed on stage to create a performance before Kris Kristofferson’s set in 2017.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl and ZZ Top founder Billy Gibbons will feature on the new Queens of the Stone Age album.
‘Smart Dressed Man’ rocker Billy revealed that the band’s frontman Josh Homme recruited himself and Foo Fighters singer Grohl to work on the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Villains’ while at a party.
Speaking to EonMusic, the 69-year-old musician said: “Just one month ago I was making a record with Queens of the Stone Age and Dave Grohl was also taking part and he decided to have a big BBQ.
“So there was this interesting gathering. So we spent one hour telling stories, great stories remembering these lovely guys [referring to late Abbott brothers Vinnie and Dimebag].”
“We had gone to the desert to work on just a couple of tracks, and I was outside, and Josh came out of the studio, and he had this box, and it was making some strange noise, and I said, ‘Hey, what is that?’ And he goes, ‘I don’t know, I just found it.’
“I said, ‘Don’t touch a thing; we’re going to use it for the song!’ So that’s how it started.
Billy spilled that Josh, 46, has finished the Queens of the Stone Age album which is expected to be released in October.
He said: “He’s completed it. I think that he said he wants to put it out Halloween. It’ll be good.”
The band – which is currently comprised of Josh, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman and Jon Theodore – released ‘Villains’ on August 25, 2017 and it was the first Queens of the Stone Age album to not feature any guest musicians.
Grohl, 50, last performed on a Queens of the Stone Age album back in 2013 when he provided drums on their sixth studio LP ‘…Like Clockwork’.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Libertines are set for a special Christmas tour of the UK in December.
The ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ hitmakers – comprised of Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall, and Gary Powell – will make their way across the UK for nine shows at the end of 2019 as part of a wider European tour throughout October, November, and December, which marks their first headline tour in over two years.
Starting in Paris, France, in October, the band will then head to countries including Germany, Luxembourg, Brussels and The Netherlands in November, before finishing off with their nine-date tour of the UK.
The UK leg will see them play in Bournemouth, Leeds, Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol, and London, and will run from December 3 to December 18, finishing off just before the festive season begins.
The shows come as Pete Doherty and Carl Barât are set to play acoustic shows at London’s Hackney Empire on September 5 and 6, as part of Somewhere Festival, which sold-out within minutes of going on sale.
Meanwhile, the tour could offer fans the chance to hear some new music from the ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ musicians, as Carl recently claimed the band have put “dates in [their] studio diary” for their next record, which will be the follow-up to 2015 album ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’.
He said: “We’ve been down and done a few writing sessions already.
“But we’re going to sort of bed in and do something a bit less control freak this time, rather doing lots and compiling and seeing what’s working and what isn’t. But there will be quite a few stories around the corner I think.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea will release her new album on July 19.
The 29-year-old rapper hasn’t released an album since her debut record ‘The New Classic’ back in 2014, but on Monday (24.06.19) night, she revealed her upcoming second album ‘In My Defense’ will be released next month.
Iggy also revealed the artwork for the album, which features the ‘Savior’ hitmaker soaked in blood on the side of her car while wearing a glistening silver dress, whilst there is also blood splattered on the side of the car and a red light illuminating the scene.
Posting the picture of the artwork on Instagram, Iggy wrote: “In My Defense: July 19th Pre Order: June 28th (sic)”
Iggy spoke about the artwork’s inspiration on Twitter, where she said it was a “statement” about women in the public eye finding it hard to “defend themselves”.
In a series of tweets explaining the artwork, Iggy wrote: “It’s a statement about women not having the ability to defend themselves under public gaze, not rebirth.
“I guess I don’t feel women are really given a fair chance to be “heard out” so how could anyone survive that amount of judgement.
“I wore a “going out” dress and clutch because I wanted it to feel like I had been out somewhere and was clearly unprepared for a fight (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Fancy’ rapper took to social media this week to express her excitement at the finished artwork, as she teased fans by saying she was “satisfied” with the packaging of her album.
She wrote: “I just saw my album packaging all finished in all physical formats and I feel tingly.
