OHMYGOSSIP — Jaden Smith’s new album is “for the haters”.
The 20-year-old star has just released his 17-track record ‘ERYS’ and he says he wants to dedicate it to all those people who ever doubted him.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “Sometimes I wish that I wasn’t so emotional, but I’m glad that I showed the world that side, because it seemed like they liked that side. But you always have haters and you always have people that are going to doubt you and this album is really for my haters and that’s why it’s so aggressive.”
The album features emo rap acts, trap, electronic, and punk rock and tells the story of a young man called ‘ERYS’.
Jaden explained: “He lives in Los Angeles, but it’s in a world where Los Angeles has almost been destroyed a little bit. You don’t really know what happened, but it’s like a dystopic Los Angeles. It’s like The Warriors where everybody is running around, and it’s this interconnected web of these young kids who run the city. Erys decides to be the leader and take over the city. He gains control of everyone by the means of fear almost. It doesn’t end well for him, but that’s kind of the end of the story..”
And the record is also linked to his previous record ‘SYRE’.
Jaden said: “When it’s ‘I want to be by myself. I’m sad. I’m going to be in the Hills. I’m sad. I’m emotional and I can’t do anything.’ That was ‘SYRE’.
‘ERYS’, which is ‘SYRE’ reversed, is the complete opposite. ‘ERYS’ is more so about the city. He’s like “I like being in the city. He still likes pink and the sunset, but he cares so much more about the city and his homies and making sure he is the leader of the generation. That’s what the metaphor for Los Angeles is for in the movie.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Marr wants to reunite with Bernard Sumner to make music together “in the future”.
The 55-year-old musician teamed up with the New Order and Joy Division rocker in the 90s to form alternative dance supergroup Electronic, and has now said he’d love to get back in the studio with Bernard, as well as New Order’s other members Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert.
He said: “I think me and Bernard will probably do something again in the future, Maybe I’d like to rope Stephen Morris in at some point.
“Stephen’s always been one of my favourite musicians – not just because he’s from Manchester, but no one’s ever managed to play like him, before or since. Also, I really rate Gillian too. So maybe I’ll just join New Order … on bass.”
And Marr – who was the guitarist and co-songwriter for The Smiths – went on to reveal that he plays a lot of his former group’s tracks, but enjoys keeping his set like a “movie” that have the songs in a specific order.
He told NME: “I think I play quite a lot of Smiths’ songs. I play enough. If I were to play any more than I play now then it would tip the balance over.
“For me, a set is a little bit like a movie where you get all your scenes in place. Eventually you get them in the right order as what you want to be as perfect.
“Sometimes if you play around too much, as much as I like it, you just change the dynamic.
“The dynamic is right. Adding another Electronic song was the most exciting thing for me to be honest.”
Over the weekend, Marr joined The Killers on stage during their set at Glastonbury Festival, where they played a rendition of hit Smiths song ‘This Charming Man’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carly Rae Jepsen has made a disco album which will “probably never be released”.
The 33-year-old star created an “understated disco, living room dance party” record after “digging into some ABBA stuff” during a trip to Sweden – the legendary group’s homeland – but she insists her unreleased album “shouldn’t” ever come out.
She said: “I had an album I named ‘Disco Sweat’ that will probably never be released, and shouldn’t.
“I started off with a very strong intention to make an understated disco, living room dance party thing. I think that came from going to Sweden and really digging into some ABBA stuff.
“Then exploring the 70s. I did 80s last time, maybe I’ll do this. But it was never that simple. I think there are songs on the new album that achieved kinda what I was envisaging, I think ‘Julian’ is a good example of that.
“I ended up getting out of a rut, and found some songs that were a little 90s that I wanted to include, a little something that made more sense than this ‘Disco Sweat’, that will be buried in my backyard.”
Carly feels a lot more confident about what she is “comfortable making”, and now creates music based on what feels “authentic and true” to her, rather than what people will like.
Speaking to SF Weekly, she added: “I think I’ve grown to have more confidence in my line of pop music and what I feel comfortable making, and what I feel inspired to make.
“Not judging it next to anything else and knowing that those who connect to it will connect.
“There’s been freedom in that, I think. When I was younger and first moved to Los Angeles, I think I was in the space of ‘What will people like?’ rather than ‘What will feel authentic and true to me?’
“That’s a scary and brave thing to do in music, but I think I’m getting better and better at that.”
Last month, the ‘Really Like You’ hitmaker admitted becoming famous made her love of music feel more like a “great responsibility”.
She said: “You have to be careful, it’s easy to lose yourself in fame and be swallowed up by people’s perception of you. I was losing my happiness.
“My idea of joy – singing on stage – started to feel like a great responsibility.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj has teased a new album is on the way.
The ‘Super Bass’ hitmaker has been working on a follow-up to 2018’s ‘Queen’ but she is yet to give her fifth record a title.
Appearing on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, she spilled: “You’re the first to find out … of course there’s a new album.”
The 36-year-old rapper recently released ‘Megatron’, which shot straight to number one, and she says it’s still a thrill to see a song do well.
She said: “No matter how many songs you put out, it always feels good to know that people still care enough to chuck for it and still support you.”
Nicki’s last record was surrounded by drama after she was forced to deny allegations in a copyright lawsuit brought against her by Tracy Chapman in October.
The ‘Fast Car’ hitmaker sued Nicki for copyright infringement after claiming the rapper’s track ‘Sorry’ interpolated her 1988 single ‘Baby Can I Hold You’ without her permission.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Nicki denied infringing on the copyright for the song, despite having previously announced that she was seeking permission from Tracy to use the sample.
The ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker claimed that whilst “she recorded a musical interpolation that incorporated music and lyrics from the Composition,” the use of the sample was protected by the doctrine of fair use.
Nicki also alleged that Tracy had “not properly registered her claim to the copyright in the Composition,” adding that the 54-year-old singer “is not the owner of the copyright in issue and therefore lacks standing to bring the claims alleged in the Complaint.”
‘Sorry’ was meant to appear on ‘Queen’ – which was released in August last year – but remained unreleased until it was leaked to New York DJ Funkmaster Flex, and subsequently played on Hot 97 radio, leading Tracy to file the lawsuit seeking damages, as well as an order to prevent Nicki from releasing the song.
In her documents, Nicki admitted she had “several requests for permission” to license the song, all of which were denied.
The papers read: “Defendant admits that Sorry incorporates music and lyrics from the Composition. Defendant admits that she made a recording of Sorry without first seeking authorisation to do so.”
After Funkmaster Flex played a copy of the ‘Queen’ album Nicki originally intended to release – which included ‘Sorry’ – shortly before the release of the final product, the ‘Good Form’ hitmaker seemed to suggest on social media that Tracy had blocked her from using the sample.
In a since-deleted tweet, she simply wrote: “Sis said no”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John has added an extra show at London’s The O2 due to demand.
The ‘Rocket Man’ hitmaker will play another ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ show at the arena on December 2, 2020.
Elton is already playing the 20,000-capacity venue on the 4th, 6th, and 7th of November, 2020, and he will also be there on the 9th, 14th, and 16th December, 2020.
Tickets for the new London date go on sale on July 5 at 10am.
The ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker continues his European leg at Mez Graz Open Air in Austria tonight (03.07.19).
Elton’s mammoth final tour recently saw Taron Egerton duet with the music legend on ‘Your Song’.
The 29-year-old actor – who plays Elton in the blockbuster musical – joined the ‘Crocodile Rock’ hitmaker for a spellbinding rendition of the 1970 hit at Hove’s County Ground in East Sussex, England, last month.
And the first night of the UK leg of the run drew in a star-studded crowd, with the likes of Rag’n’Bone Man, BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball and comedians David Walliams, Alan Carr and John Bishop in attendance.
Elton – who is bowing out of tours to spend more time with his sons Zachary, eight, and Elijah, six, whom he has with husband David Furnish – admitted that the concerts on British soil mean the most to him.
He said: “This tour will take me to a lot of places that hold a special place in my heart, but the UK shows will be amongst the highlights of the entire tour.
“The UK is where my heart is, and it will always be home.
“To get the opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared over the years with my British fans will be very special indeed.
“These homecoming shows will be emotional, but a lot of fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender had to be silent for two weeks to recover from vocal problems.
The ‘Play God’ hitmaker, who has suffered issues with his vocals cords, has been warming up his voice by playing the “most annoying instrument”, the kazoo, a mouth organ which adds a buzzing tone to vocals, after his spell of silence.
Speaking about his recovery after recent illness prevented him from playing a string of festival dates, including Glastonbury, Sam told Gordon Smart on Radio X: “Before I could sing again I had to do two weeks of silence and then build my voice back up with the kazoo.
“I’ve had to start with a kazoo, then I’ve upgraded to a straw – but I take the kazoo wherever I go.
“It’s the most annoying instrument – this and ukuleles are the most annoying instruments!”
The 25-year-old singer was due to take to the John Peel stage at Glastonbury on Friday (28.06.19), but he was forced to pull out because he “needs longer to recover from illness”.
In a message on Twitter, he wrote: “Absolutely gutted to share that I’ll not be able to perform at Glastonbury this weekend. It’s always been a dream to play at Worthy Farm and I wouldn’t miss it for the world but the docs have told me I need longer to recover from illness. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to return next year.”
Sam also cancelled appearances at Les Eurockeenes, Down The Rabbit Hole, and Barn on the Farm festivals, as well as a show in Bristol.
He added: “Sadly our performances at Les Eurockeenes, Down The Rabbit Hole and Barn on the Farm festivals next week are also cancelled. Massive apologies to all you and especially those in Bristol tomorrow, your tickets will be valid for another rescheduled show on August 9th or you can get a refund. Massive love to you all and thank you for your understanding.”
The Geordie star ended his note by teasing that new music would be coming soon.
He wrote: “Ps. On a slight positive, we have some new music coming next week:) (sic)”
Meanwhile, Sam has treated fans to brand new track ‘Will We Talk?’, which he played on the kazoo for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 on Tuesday (02.07.19).
The song is the fourth single to be taken from the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award-winner’s debut album, ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, which is released on August 9.

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Marr has announced a hometown show.
The former Smiths star will play Manchester’s Albert Hall on September 4 after a summer of festivals and UK shows.
The 55-year-old musician recently wowed fans with a surprise appearance during The Killers’ headline set at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend, where they played a rendition of hit Smiths song ‘This Charming Man’.
And this summer he’s set to appear at a host of festivals in the UK and Europe, including Tramlines, Truck, Nile Rodgers’ Meltdown, Roskilde, Mad Cool, Rock En Seine, Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
Marr recently released new single ‘Armatopia’, which followed the release of his acclaimed 2018 LP ‘Call The Comet’.
Speaking about the track, which he has labelled “Eco-Disco”, he said: “‘Armatopia’ is the odd state we find the ecology and ourselves in today. “Have those in control made people feel like there’s only one thing left they can do? ‘We’re smoking till we burn out’, so we dance and party. It’s Eco-Disco for 2019.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue and The Vaccines have recorded an unlikely duet.
The Australian pop superstar – who wowed fans at the weekend at Glastonbury – has teamed up with the indie rockers on the track ‘LAZY’ for the soundtrack for Aardman Animations’ upcoming movie, ‘A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon’.
Announcing the collaboration on Instagram, The Vaccines wrote: “hey hey hey – vVv excited to tell u all that we have recorded a new song called LAZY with the incredible and inimitable @kylieminogue for @aardmananimations new film A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. the film lands this october and u can watch the brand-new trailer by clicking the link in bio…! (sic)”
Little else is known about the song or how they came to work with the ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker.
However, ‘A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon’ hits cinemas on October 18 in the UK and December 13 in the US.
The Vaccines released their fourth studio album ‘Combat Sports’ in 2018, and after a summer of festivals, Freddie Cowan and his bandmates – Justin Hayward-Young, Árni Árnason, Timothy Lanham and Yoann Intonti – are set to enter the studio to work on their next album.
Whilst Kylie has just released greatest hits LP ‘Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection’ and finally got to tick playing The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury off her bucket list.
The ‘Dancing’ singer cried tears of joy as she played the festival’s Legend’s slot, over 10 years after a cancer diagnosis stopped her from performing at the world famous music extravaganza.
The former ‘Neighbours’ star’s career-spanning set came 14 years after the disease forced her to cancel a headline slot at the festival.
She told the crowd: “In 2005 I was meant to be here. Circumstances meant that I did not make it. I wished things were different – but life is what it is. We’re all here in this moment.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A musical about Neil Diamond is coming to Broadway.
Producers Ken Davenport and Bob Gaudio have announced a new, as-yet-untitled stage production which documents the life and career of the legendary musician, using an array of the 72-year-old singer’s greatest hits.
Diamond shared in a statement: “I’ve always loved Broadway. The inspiration for many of my early songs came from shows like West Side Story, My Fair Lady and Fiddler On The Roof.
“So it seems only fitting to bring my songs to The Great White Way. I’m honoured and excited to be working with this great team.”
The project – which is based book by Anthony McCarten, who also worked on the Oscar-winning Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ – will be helmed by Michael Mayer and will include well-loved hits such as ‘Sweet Caroline’, ‘America’, ‘Song Sung Blue’ and ‘I’ve Been This Way Before.’
McCarten added: “On the mantle-piece in my childhood home in New Zealand, there were always two pictures: one was of the Pope, the other of Neil Diamond.
“The epic musical catalogue of this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer flowed endlessly off our family record player.
“As a child you took it into yourself, and to this day I can recite the lyrics of his hits deep into their second or third verses. Imagine my excitement, then, when the opportunity arose to work with Neil on a musical based on his life and music. A very, very easy and so sweet ‘Yes!'”
And Gaudio also noted: “Having been intimately associated with one very special biographical musical, I am clearly a fan of the form.
“And as a fellow member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I remain in awe of Neil Diamond’s contribution to American popular culture, music, and of his incredible life story.”

OHMYGOSSIP — k.d. lang says she was willing to risk her career to be open about her sexuality.
The 57-year-old singer came out as gay publically in 1992 and claims the response to her sexuality was “huge” – and although she feared the reaction would negatively impact on her life, the ‘Constant Craving’ hitmaker felt a responsibility to be “open and vulnerable” with herself and with “society”.
In an interview with DIVA magazine, she said: “The response was huge.
“If we focus on the timeline, the AIDs crisis was big and homophobia was big, but when you’re in the mist of something you don’t have a full perspective of what’s happening.
When asked whether she was worried that coming out would affect her career, she said: “Yes but I was willing to risk it.
“I really felt like coming out, being open and vulnerable. It wasn’t even a choice, it was a necessity. I had to do it. I had to do it for myself and I had to do it for society.
“I just felt it was the right thing to do.”
The ‘Miss Chatelaine’ singer went on to explain that in order to cope with being publically queer in a time the LGBTQ+ community was less vocal, she would “hold her head up high” and try not to pay mind to criticism.
She said: “It was really just a matter of going to work every day, being open, answering questions and holding my head up high and taking criticism with a grain of salt.
“Now I have a better perspective on it, it was a huge moment in pop culture.
“I feel extraordinarily blessed that I was able to have a positive impact on our social structure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carly Rae Jepsen says becoming famous made her lose her love of music.
The 33-year-old singer admitted her life changed hugely thanks to her breakthrough single ‘Call Me Maybe’ – which was released in September 2011 – and eventually performing on stage felt more of a “responsibility” than something pleasureable.
She said: “After ‘Call Me Maybe’, my life was such a blur.
“It was a new thing to be recognised everywhere and I started to feel the pressures of the way my life had changed.
“You have to be careful, it’s easy to lose yourself in fame and be swallowed up by people’s perception of you. I was losing my happiness.
“My idea of joy – singing on stage – started to feel like a great responsibility.”
Carly decided to take a step back and figure out what mattered, as well as finding her passion again.
She added to Q magazine: “That’s why I took so much time making [2015 album] ‘Emotion’.
“I wanted to get back to what connected me to music in the first place.
“I’ve learned to seclude myself with the people that know me so I can keep the authentic relationships going that matter in my life.”
The ‘I Really Like You’ hitmaker competed on ‘Canadian Idol’ in 2007 and came third but thinks it was a “blessing in disguise” that she didn’t win.
She said: “When I landed third in ‘Canadian Idol’, it was a blessing in disguise – I could keep exploring my career as a songwriter, not just an artist.
“I told my parents I was going to take a stab at this career and I was ready to enjoy it whether I succeeded or I failed. It was going to be an adventure to try and I’ve never stopped trying since.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bring Me The Horizon got their own mini “private” Kylie Minogue concert.
The ‘medicine’ rockers are surprising fans of the ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker and revealed how they were given a preview of the 51-year-old star’s performance as she rehearsed with her musicians at a recent gig they shared a bill on.
The Sheffield band’s programmer and keyboard player, Jordan Fish, recalled: “We played with her a couple of nights ago and when she was warming up her six musicians did this like barbershop performance basically just for us.
“It was like four or five songs and she just went through them all. It was amazing. It was like having our own private Kylie gig.”
The 33-year-old rocker – who is joined by Oli Sykes, Matt Kean, Lee Malia and Matt Nicholls in the ‘Mantra’ group – was gutted he couldn’t see the ‘Locomotion’ hitmaker perform at Glastonbury on Sunday (01.07.19) as their sets clashed.
He told NME.com: “It’s quite cool to play at a festival that’s got such a varied lineup – even though we’re not going to have any time to see anyone.
“I’d have liked to have seen Kylie but we clash.”
The heavy rock band were “one man down” as they performed on The Other Stage, as guitarist Lee welcomed a child with his partner Deni McGonigle into the world.
Jordan tweeted: “Man down at @GlastoFest – congrats @madmanmalia @DenimarieM (sic)”
He also shared pictures backstage of the band and his wife Emma Fish with their two children, two-year-old son Eliot and his five-month-old daughter Eden,
and admitted: “we get pretty wild backstage (sic)”
It was the second time the Grammy-nominated band played Glastonbury, having previously rocked the same stage in 2016 after the release of their mainstream album, ‘That’s The Spirit’.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Cure closed Glastonbury festival on Sunday evening (30.06.19) with a stunning headline performance.
The ‘Just Like Heaven’ hitmakers wowed the crowd with their biggest hits including ‘Close to Me’, ‘Friday I’m in Love’, ‘The Forest’ and ‘In Between Days’.
The set was all about the music and The Cure – completed by Simon Gallup, Roger O’Donnell, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels – rocked through their iconic songs, with frontman Robert Smith told the crowd: “I realise I’m going for the award for the person who says least at Glastonbury.”
Robert – who has headlined Glastonbury with The Cure three times already – also admitted it was “weird” to be part of such an amazing event as Glastonbury.
He said: “I’ve been here all weekend. It’s hot and f***ing excellent. It’s just weird to be part of it.”
And 90 minutes into their set, Robert confessed he felt they were “trapping” their audience with their “difficult to translate” music but he urged them to “hang on” as he promised the final half an hour of their set was Glastonbury through and through.
He told the tens of thousands who had gathered to see the final performance at the festival: “I feel like you’re trapped cause what we do is difficult to translate. But hang on, the next half hour is Glastonbury.”
The band ended their set with their famous song ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, and Robert was visibly emotional as him and his band bid goodbye to the crowd.
And if their set at Glastonbury wasn’t enough, fans have even more reason to be excited as Robert recently admitted he is driven to make a new album with The Cure.
Asked if he would be disappointed if the group didn’t make another LP, he said: “I would now, yeah. Because I’ve committed myself to going into the studio and creating songs for the band, which I haven’t done for 10 years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — George Ezra treated his performance at Glastonbury festival like “any other show”.
The ‘Shotgun’ hitmaker wowed the crowds with a string of his famous hits during Friday’s musical offerings at the famous festival and he has now revealed the secret of his success this time around was not to “overthink” it.
He said: “My tactic this year has been to treat it like any other show. In the past, I wouldn’t have had a few drinks the night before a big show. But I did and I just thought, ‘Well, actually, I love our set and I love our band and there’s really not much to overthink with an hour-long set.’ It’s really short. We call it the power hour.”
George particularly loves performing at Glastonbury because it reminds him of the famous Woodstock festival, where the music is part of something bigger.

As a musician, you’re just one part of that. Glastonbury is the only festival where it feels like, for the audience, the event itself is so much more important than a set. As a performer, it’s a really beautiful feeling to walk on stage because it feels like you’re part of something …
“Honestly, you just think, ‘It’s not about me today.’ There’s hundreds of acts on. There are kids who will have their minds blown by someone they’ve not even heard of yet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue thinks Lady Gaga should play the Legend’s slot at Glastonbury.
The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker finally got to play The Pyramid stage at the Worthy Farm extravaganza this weekend, over 10 years after a cancer diagnosis stopped her from performing, and now she has tipped more female stars, including the ‘Shallow’ hitmaker, to play the prestigious spot reserved for icons at the festival.
Kylie – who followed in the footsteps of the likes of Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, Dame Shirley Bassey and Elo’s Jeff Lynne – told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I think Lady Gaga is a natural and gives everything to everything she does, I’m sure she would be great.”
And gushing over her idols, Madonna, Whitney Houston and Cyndi Lauper, she added: “l don’t know Madonna like that but she will always be one of my inspirations.
“I was 14 dancing around to her and Whitney Houston and Cyndi Lauper and a lot of the romantic bands from the UK in my suburban teenage bedroom.”
The 51-year-old star’s early work was largely penned by Stock Aitken Waterman, the songwriting and production company of Mick Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman, who together launched the ‘Slow’ singer’s pop career in the late 1980s.
Kylie admitted that whilst her acting past, including her most famous role in Aussie soap ‘Neighbours’ as mechanic Charlene Robinson – whom she played from 1986 to 1988 – has turned out to have a positive impact on her music career, it used to “wind [her] up” when people didn’t take her seriously because so many global stars before her, including country legend Dolly, have achieved both success on screen and behind the microphone.
She explained: “I’m enjoying music more than ever.
“I totally am.
“I think starting as a young actor and getting into music I felt like I never heard the end of it for a while.
“It’s, ‘You’re not a singer you’re an actress.’
“It’s true I didn’t have the experience and hadn’t earned my stripes back then.”
She added: “It did wind me up that if you look at some of the best performers of all time they did all sorts of things.
“A lot of great female performers particularly, you’ve got Bette Midler, Cher, Dolly Parton – God bless Dolly she learned everybody’s lines whens he did ‘9 to 5’ – that’s how much she knew about acting, she thought she had to know everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi is set to headline Kew the Music.
The Scottish star will play The Royal Botanical Gardens in London on July 10 with support from Nina Nesbitt and Dusky Grey.
Kew the Music will also see Beverley Knight and Billy Ocean play on July 9, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on July 11, garage king Craig David on July 12, 90s punks Garbage on July 13 and and ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hitmaker Rick Astley headlines on July 14.
Tickets for Lewis’ show go on sale at 12pm on Monday (01.07.19).
Meanwhile, the ‘Someone You Loved’ hitmaker took his feud with Noel Gallagher to new heights as he made his Glastonbury debut on Saturday (29.06.19).
Lewis took to The Other stage at the Somerset festival in a green parka and matching bucket hat, Oasis’ trademark outfits in the 1990s, as a clip of Noel saying “Who’s this Capaldi fella?” played on repeat on the screens around the stage.
Taking off the parka, Lewis then revealed he was wearing a t-shirt with Noel’s face on, surrounded by a heart.
The pair have been exchanging beef back and forth for the last week after Noel called him an “idiot” and mocked the popularity of his debut LP ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.
In a recent interview with Radio X, Noel said: “Music is f**king w**k at the moment. Who’s this Capaldi fella? Who the f**k’s that idiot?”
Taking to his Instagram Stories to respond, Lewis posted a video in which he joked that becoming the latest in a long line of musicians to be “slagged off” by Noel was better than having a number one album or number one single.
He said: “F***ing c’mon! F***ing peaked – slagged off by Noel Gallagher! Number 1 single – who gives a f**k? Number 1 album – who gives a f**k? Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. This is dreams coming true. It’s Father’s Day and I’m being slagged off by a man who’s old enough to be my dad, and I’ve never been more happy.”
After wishing Noel a happy Father’s Day, the 22-year-old singer filmed himself listening to Oasis’ 2002 single ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’.
And rather than let the war of words die, Noel responded to his jibes by posting a video of his 11-year-old son Donovan pretending to cry whilst singing ‘Someone You Loved’ on his Twitter account.
He captioned the clip: “You might wanna try and find some joy in your tunes. You’re destroying the youth.”
