OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora was forced to pull out of her performance at Amazon’s Fashion event in Berlin on Thursday (24.10.19) on doctor’s orders.
The ‘Let Me Love You’ hitmaker took to Instagram to apologise to fans for having to miss the performance, due to an undisclosed illness, and admitted she was devastated.
In a lengthy post to fans, she wrote on her Instagram Stories: “I am so sad to have to announce that I’ve woken up today poorly and have been ordered by doctors to miss the amazon event today.
“I’ve been looking forward to seeing you all so much.
“It is a decision that has been taken out of my hands and I am so sorry not to be there.
“Nothing makes me happier than performing and seeing my incredible fans and not being able to do that is devastating.
“You all mean the world to me.”
Rita’s ‘For You’ collaborate Liam Payne ended up replacing the singer for the show.
The ‘Hot Right Now’ hitmaker recently opened up about her fears of “burning out”.
She said: “It is really important to look after yourself you know.
“And, yeah, I am worried about burning out, I’m only human.
“But at the same time I just pick what I do now – I try to balance it out.”
And she previously admitted she didn’t know exhaustion was a “real thing” until she ended up in hospital.
The 28-year-old singer realised she needed to “chill” after being admitted for medical treatment and placed on an IV drip in June 2016 after pushing herself too hard and admitted she had no idea it could be such a serious problem.
She later said: “I didn’t know you could be that exhausted until it happens to you, but it’s a real thing.
“I was genuinely that exhausted that I ended up in a hospital bed.
“I was just like, ‘OK, I think I need to chill’.”
At the time, the ‘Anywhere’ hitmaker had shared a picture of herself in hospital connected to the drip and revealed she’d had a “tough” day.
She wrote on Twitter at the time: “Today was pretty tough but I’m getting through it. Thank you to all of you for the support! I love you! #exhaustionisreal.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson has announced his first solo world tour.
The ‘Killy My Mind’ hitmaker will embark on a 43-date global jaunt in support of his hotly-anticipated debut album ‘Walls’, which is released on January 30, 2020.
The extensive run will kick off on March 9, 2020 in Barcelona, Spain, and will see him head to cities including Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Sydney, Tokyo and Rio De Janeiro, before heading to North America.
The tour currently concludes on July 23 in Vancouver, Canada, but the former One Direction star has teased even more shows are going to be added.
Louis said: “Been waiting for this moment since I started my solo career.
“Can’t wait to see you all on tour. There are also a few more dates going up at a later date.”
The ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker recently dropped his third single, ‘We Made It’, from his upcoming album.
He previously dropped ‘Two Of Us’ – which helped him with the grief of losing his mother Johannah Deakin.
The singer recently described second ‘Kill My Mind’ as a callback to the pop landscape when he was growing up listening to the likes of The Killers and Arctic Monkeys.
He said: “When I grew up, pop meant Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Killers and Amy Winehouse.
“Times change. Currently pop is very urban and street, which is not what I relate to. ‘Kill My Mind’ feels like a statement of intent. Sonically, it’s new for me and writing it was exciting.”
The new tune came from being young, “naughty” and “trying different things”.
He added: “It’s a loud, busy, rocky song that’s all about having fun. It’s about that experimental phase of your youth where you’re trying different things, some of which aren’t great for you but are definitely fun. It’s a song about being naughty.”
Louis was inspired by Liam Gallagher to bare his soul on the single.
He said: “I don’t like being clever for the sake of being clever. Sometimes it’s cool to read between the lines. My lyrical style, naturally, is to just be matter of fact, honest and sometimes blunt. I kind of shied away from writing that song because I didn’t really think I was ready to go through that process yet. I got into a session and we ended up getting into it, and it was going perfectly. I really did want to write this song, I was just intimidated because it had to be perfect.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kesha says her new album ‘High Road’ is a return to the outgoing and “happy” person she really is.
The 32-year-old singer went through a “huge purge of emotions” with her last album, 2017’s ‘Rainbow’ – which was written in the wake of her failed lengthy legal battle to get out of her recording contract with producer Dr. Luke – and now she has returned to the upbeat tracks she started out making.
Speaking about her comeback single ‘Raising Hell’, which was released this week, she told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s exciting to put out a song like this after ‘Rainbow’ because ‘Rainbow’ was a cathartic healing record.
“And I addressed a lot of things I need to on that record.
“Now I have given myself permission to grab myself by the b***s again and be like, ‘This is who I am.
“I am a happy person, I don’t have to live in the past.
“I don’t have to let anything define me from my past.”
The ‘Tik Tok’ hitmaker also confessed that the album’s title track – which was penned with Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds – is about getting “super f***ing high” and not having an attitude like some people accused her of.
She explained in an interview with the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “It’s a play on words because people would think I would always take the high road and that is not what the song is about.
“This is about getting super f***ing high.
“We got wildly f***ed up by the end of the day.
“We were drinking shots in the vocal booth.”
The pop star was also lucky enough to get Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson on the track ‘Resentment’, which also features country star Sturgill Simpson.
Despite her previous struggles, Kesha recently insisted her earlier hits don’t feel tainted because she loves seeing people enjoy her old music.
She said:”When I play some of the poppier songs, people lose their s**t, and those songs are my babies too.
“It brings me so much joy to see people boogie and have the best time with their friends, and I shouldn’t take that away from myself.”
And the ‘Woman’ hitmaker enjoyed striking a balance between her early pop style and her more recent introspective writing with her upcoming album.
She said: “Emotions are forever. Part of this album is resurrecting the fact that you can be a f***ing mess in your head one day, and then you can also be glittered-up and have the best night of your life.”
‘High Road’ is released on January 10, 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diana Ross has announced UK arena shows for 2020 as part of her ‘Top Of The World Tour’.
The former Supremes star will embark on a run of dates following her Sunday afternoon Legend’s slot at Glastonbury on June 28, 2020.
After playing the Pyramid Stage at the world famous festival in Somerset, south west England, the music legend will head to Leeds on June 30, before playing Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham, and wrapping the UK shows at The O2 in London on July 8.
The 75-year-old singer told fans she is “feeling great” and can’t wait to hit the road to share her “joy” with her audiences.
She wrote on Twitter: “I am in total appreciation of all. I’m feeling Great, life is so good. My love, my light is steady and constant. I focus on joy. I love looking at the energy all around me.
I am so so so grateful.”
The ‘I’m Coming Out’ hitmaker was the first act to be confirmed for the special 50th anniversary edition of Glastonbury, which takes place at Worthy Farm between June 24, 2020 and June 28, 2020.
Diana wrote on Twitter: “This is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I’m coming to Glastonbury, with love.”
The festival’s co-organiser, Emily Eavis, added to her own profile: “I am delighted to say that one of the all-time greats, the wonderful Diana Ross, is coming to Glastonbury to play the Sunday legend slot on the Pyramid next year.”
The Motown star hasn’t played the UK since her 2007 ‘I Love You Tour’.
The ‘Endless Love’ singer follows in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue, who played the Legend’s slot on the Pyramid Stage this year, and the likes of Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Dame Shirley Bassey and Lionel Richie, in landing the special set time reserved for music icons.
Tickets for Diana’s ‘Top Of The World Tour’ go on sale at 9am on November 1.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Jones likes Stereophonics not being “in fashion”.
The ‘All In One Night’ hitmaker has admitted that it’s great that the band aren’t trendy because the most important aspect of their career has been to make a back catalogue that is “honest” and true to themselves.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, the Welsh frontman said: “Looking back musically, I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved and playing to small and big crowds. We’ve never been in fashion and I like that, as it’s all about the songs.
“Like when we stepped in for Snow Patrol and headlined Latitude in summer, we said we would do it if we could do our thing.”
The ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ hitmaker – who formed the band in 1992 – also opened up about never taking to fame and how being on red carpets in the early days was his worst nightmare.
He admitted: “It’s been a long career and I don’t have regrets — the only thing I didn’t enjoy was when I started being in the public eye.
“Fame has never been for me.
“I love being with my mates and touring but red carpets and all the rest, I never felt at ease.
“I love making music and it’s all about having a catalogue of music and being honest.”
Stereophonics released their 11th studio album ‘Kind’ today (25.10.19), and Kelly admitted that after their 2018 world tour, he was itching to get back in the studio after just a few weeks, and revealed the songs just came to him as if they were “informing” him of how he was “feeling”.
He said; “I had six or seven weeks off and was climbing the walls.
“I’ve never felt writing is homework, most is when I’ve just got to get sh*t out of me.
“With this record especially, songs started informing me how I was feeling.
“Whatever it was, it was telling me. It’s a way of expressing what’s going on in your life, the lyrics just come out and I wasn’t going to argue with the lyrics.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone leads the nominations for the 2019 American Music Awards with seven nods.
The ‘Take What You Want’ rapper has been shortlisted for the prestigious Artist of the Year prize alongside Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Drake and Halsey.
He’s also up for Favourite Artist in the Rap/Hip-Hop category, which sees him compete with Cardi B and Drake, and the same accolade for Pop/Rock, which also sees Drake and Khalid in contention.
Plus he’s received nominations for Favourite Album (Rap/Hip-Hop) for ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ and Collaboration of the Year and Favourite Song for ‘Sunflower’ featuring Swae Lee from ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.
Malone has stiff competition in the Collaboration of the Year category, with Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s ‘Señorita’ and Bastille and Marshmello’s ‘Happier’ in the running for the award.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Goldblum and Miley Cyrus have teamed up to release a song.
The 67-year-old Hollywood star – who is a keen musician and has previously released an album with his long-time band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra – joined forces with the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker for his new song, ‘The Thrill is Gone’.
Speaking about the forthcoming release, the ‘Independence Day’ star said: “Hearing the one and only Miley Cyrus sing one of our arrangements is both surreal and mesmerising. I can’t stop listening. It’s perfect.”
The duet will appear on Jeff’s upcoming album, ‘I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This’.
On the album, Jeff also sings alongside Sharon Van Etten and Anna Calvi.
Jeff’s debut album, ‘The Capitol Studio Sessions’, was a huge success, reaching No.1 on the US Billboard Jazz Album chart.
He also made an appearance with his band at Glastonbury earlier this year, where he played the ‘Jurassic Park’ theme song.
The popular actor previously revealed that he started to learn to play the piano at a young age.
He said: “I’m from Pittsburgh and was one of four kids, so our parents got us music lessons, very wisely and nicely and life-changing-ly.
“I had a facility for it. But I didn’t yet know the joys of discipline.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Patti Smith thinks reading Mark Twain gave her anxiety and caused her to throw up.
The 72-year-old songwriter – who was a prominent figure in the New York City punk rock movement in the 1970s – has revealed she tried reading the legendary author during her younger years, but that the experience was so traumatic, she’s never been able to return to his work.
Patti – who is also an acclaimed poet and author – explained: “I was reading Mark Twain’s ‘The Prince and the Pauper’ when I was young. It gave me such anxiety that I threw up. I never finished it – and still can’t bear to.”
Despite this, Patti has always had a deep-rooted love of literature.
Asked about her earliest memory of reading, she told the Guardian newspaper: “Falling in love with books before I could read … I was certain they contained treasure, and reading Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘A Child’s Garden of Verses’ I found I was right.”
Patti also revealed there’s one book in particular that she wishes she’d written herself.
She said: “‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’ by Carlo Collodi is the perfect book for any age.
“It addresses creation, the war between good and evil, redemption, and transfiguration in one beloved tale. I have loved it since age seven and have long wished to write something similar.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen feels relieved he’s managed to retain his “mojo” as a songwriter.
The 70-year-old musician says he’s come to “appreciate the vitality” of his creative life, and claims that over the last five years, he’s produced some of the best work of his legendary career.
Bruce – whose most-recent album is called ‘Western Stars’ – shared: “At 70, you appreciate the vitality of your creative life. I think I’ve had five years where I’ve done some of the best work I’ve ever done, the past five years, the book, the play, the film, this record, that’s very exciting, you know.
“To be doing, where I’m at now because people do lose their mojo, they lose interest or you never know when you’re gonna write well again.
“You know it’s a mystery, but I stay very curious about the world and I’m curious about my own talent and where I can take that and so that keeps you alive and vital and the creative fire burning inside of you pretty brightly so I’m fortunate.”
Bruce is no longer able to exercise with the same intensity he could during his younger years – but he’s determined to remain in good shape as he nears the end of his career.
He told BBC 6 Music: “I don’t run. I can’t run anymore!
“I’ll walk very fast, however, and I just generally I take care of myself pretty well with the diet and exercise a little bit.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Ocean has defended his decision to name his recent club night after a HIV-prevention drug.
The 31-year-old singer has faced criticism from members of the LGBTQ+ community, some of whom have accused Ocean of attempting to “rewrite history” by re-imagining New York’s night club scene as if the drug had existed in the 1970s and 1980s.
In a lengthy message posted on Tumblr, he wrote: “Club culture around late 70s and 80s nightlife in NYC was a special, much talked about and written about thing. From the star studded midtown clubs like studio 54 and the first danceteria to the downtown clubs like Mudd + paradise garage. The figures, the music, the looks, the lack of regulation haha. I recognize NY wasn’t all lasers and disco lighting and that simultaneously, there was a lot of crime and poverty and that a huge part of club culture, the gay community, at that time were being wiped out by HIV + AIDS.
“Now in 2019, there’s a pill you can take every day that will at a better than 90% chance prevent you from contracting HIV. This pill was approved by the FDA in 2012…the fact remains that despite price being a very real barrier to this potentially life saving drug for some, the other very real barrier is awareness.
“I decided to name, what was otherwise going to be a night of lights and music inspired by an era of clubbing that I loved PrEP+ because…I started to imagine in an era where so many lives were lost and so much promise was lost forever along with them, what would it have been like if something, anything had existed that in all probability would’ve saved thousands and thousands of lives. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Slipknot’s Alessandro Venturella wasn’t even a bassist when he joined the band.
The 35-year-old musician – who is nicknamed VMan – is good pals with the ‘Wait and Bleed’ hitmakers’ guitarist Jim Root, and when the star asked him if he knew a good bassist the guitar technician couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join the heavy metal outfit.
He said: “Me and Jim became friends while I was teching.
“He was asking if I knew any bass players. When I found out what for, I put my hand up right away.
“He pointed out, ‘But you don’t play bass?’ and I said something to the effect that I could do whatever he needed from me. Then I just had to make sure it was true.”
Alessandro had to borrow a bass guitar from Mastodon’s Troy Sanders for his audition and then crammed in as much learning as he could, before trying to impress the band at the try out by playing the most complex tunes he had taught himself.
Slipknot’s former bassist was the late Paul Gray, who was found dead in a hotel room in May 2010 aged 38.
Alessandro insists he was never trying to replace Paul in the band, but he has learnt a lot from the late star’s bass playing.
He added to Bass Guitar magazine: “My approach isn’t the same as Paul’s. I can’t be him and never will be, every player is ultimately born different.
“That said, if you listen to Paul’s note choices on ‘Vermilion’, he was all over the shop and it sounded great. I wanted to try things like that.
“After listening to his stems, I honestly looked at bass in a different light and understood how to support everything as the backbone.
“Take the bass out of the mix and everything will fall flat on its a**e – and equally, if you mix too bass-heavy, you’re not going to get your point across either.
“Lead guitarists, on the other hand, always need to cut through because that’s what the job entails. As the rhythm section, we’re there to hold the fort.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has teamed up with Tyson Fury for a new Christmas song.
The 45-year-old singer asked the 31-year-old boxer to sing on ‘Bad Sharon’, a song about a “boozy office party”, which is taken from his upcoming festive album ‘The Christmas Present’, and he thinks the heavyweight has “smashed it” in the recording studio.
Robbie said of the track: “That makes sense in some sort of universe! I got my residency in Vegas and while I was out there Tyson was fighting and he invited me into his dressing room, is it called a dressing room when you fight? I don’t know.
“And I asked him and he said yes and the song itself, ‘Bad Sharon’, is basically a boozy office party somewhere in the Midlands and it makes sense for Tyson, in that moment in my head, and to be fair he’s smashed it.”
Robbie was also delighted to have both Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart record songs for the album because they have always been inspirations to him.
He said of the pair: “People that I know, people that I like and people that I’ve got captive audience with that can’t say no in that moment when you ask them to do it. It’s easier on emails to say no.
“That was like two years ago and they’d forgotten but I hadn’t…’ me again’.They’re both really lovely chaps, incredibly nice people, incredibly nice with me and I look up to them and they’re the people I’ve gone, ‘Right OK, what happens to your career when you get older, where do you go? How do you do it?’ And I watch them for inspiration.”
The ‘Angels’ singer – who will perform a festive show at the SSE Arena, Wembley, in support of the record on 16 December – is also “incredibly proud” that his dad, Pete Conway, has joined him on other song.
Speaking at a playback event for the record in London on Thursday (17.10.19), he said: “My dad’s on a track called ‘A Wonderful Life’ and it’s written and created in Stoke-on-Trent.
“I’m happy and incredibly proud that a lot of this album has come out of the five towns and there are two boys singing it from the five towns, me and my dad and he absolutely kills it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Healy says The 1975 are planning to perform with Greta Thunberg.
The 16-year-old environmental activist made her musical debut on a track called ‘The 1975’ – an eponymous title given to the instrumental song which opens the band’s two albums ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ and ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ – which sees Greta read an essay over minimal orchestral backing.
And the 30-year-old singer has revealed they are planning to get together in the future because she is “one of the only people” who inspire him and his bandmates.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I’m sure there will be moment where we get together … she is one of the only people that inspires us.”
On one part of the song, she says: “We have to acknowledge that the older generations have failed. All political movements in their present form have failed. But homo sapiens have not yet failed. Yes, we are failing, but there is still time to turn everything around.
“We are facing a disaster of unspoken sufferings for enormous amounts of people. And now is not the time for speaking politely or focusing on what we can or cannot say. Now is the time to speak clearly.
“So, everyone out there, it is now time for civil disobedience. It is time to rebel.”
Money made from the track is being donated to campaign group Extinction Rebellion at Greta’s request.
Meanwhile, the ‘Chocolate’ hitmakers’ record label Dirty Hit have been taking measures to reduce their carbon footprint.
The band’s manager and label CEO, Jamie Oborne, recently revealed his office phased out all single-use plastic, will no longer produce plastic products including CD jewel cases and are working to minimise the impact of vinyl production.
He said: “Rather than ignoring that it’s a pollutant, we’re minimising it by only doing lightweight vinyl from now on.
“That isn’t very trendy, but one heavyweight LP is the equivalent of making two or three [standard thickness LPs].”
The label’s CDs and vinyl are contained in paper packaging and not wrapped in non-degradable shrink wrap and they are planning to integrate a biodegradable shrink wrap in the future.
The 1975’s next merchandise is also environmentally friendly, with unsold previous collections repurposed into new pieces of memorabilia.

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan would love to collaborate with “good friend” Selena Gomez.
The ‘Slow Hands’ hitmaker has quashed rumours he’s anything more than friends with the ‘Wolves’ singer but said he’d be down for teaming up on a song together.
Responding to rumours the pair are dating, he said: “People are fickle. Aren’t they? They don’t know whether they want us to date or go on a song together.
“I mean that would be great. She’s obviously a talented girl. And she’s a really good friend of mine.”
The Irish star has channelled the heartbreak from his split from ex-girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld into his upcoming second album – the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Flicker’ – and he teased he’s very close to finishing the record.
Niall told ‘ET Canada’: “I just have to like get down to what songs are actually on this album. I like too many of them. I’m about two songs off of full completion.
“When I was writing this album I tried to get all the feelings that you have after a break up.
“If that’s my centre point. Then I can just write different songs around that.
“That’s the kind of idea I was doing.
“Like some nights you feel like you wanna go out with your friends and wreck the place. And then like other days you’re really sad.”
So far, Niall has released lead single ‘Nice To Meet Ya’, which was inspired by a brief flirtation he had with a woman during a night out.
He said recently: “The lyrics came about from a half-true story. I was out one night and locked eyes with this girl. We got chatting, and she was with a group of her mates and I was with a group of my mates. It felt like every time I turned around – like the lyric says – she just kind of disappeared. But then over the course of the same night, in different bars around that same area, we would bump into each other. It’s a song that is basically like a movie that is based on a true story, and then you start changing stuff that makes the song start to sound a little bit more interesting.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur is considering moving into acting after “a few more arena tours”.
The ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker would love his third record ‘You’ – the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Back from the Edge’ – which was released today (18.10.19) to top the charts and has admitted that he’ll likely jump careers once he’s satisfied his thirst for playing arenas.
He admitted: “I feel like I have a lot more in me. I’d like this record to be a No.1, sell out a couple more arena tours then maybe call it a day and move into acting.”
James’ new 17-track record saw him tick off a major wish on his “bucket list”, getting Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker on a track.
The ‘I Miss You’ sticksman appears on the album’s title track.
James told the Metro newspaper: “I’m a huge fan of Blink-182.
“It’s what I grew up on.
“I was like, ‘Get him to play on any of my songs.’
“He loved it. It was a thing ticked off my bucket list.”
The record also features another rock legend, Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazzara, who appears on ‘Unconditionally’.
The 31-year-old star has made no secret of his plans to want to start acting and he’s also been searching for a country abode in Surrey as he would love to settle down and start a family.
He said: “I do like the sound of that. I am 31 now. I have lived in London for the last five years. I am ready for my house in the countryside. I have been looking at places in Surrey.”
The ‘Impossible’ hitmaker – who shot to fame when he won ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 – previously admitted he feels “overlooked” as a singer.
The ‘Empty Space’ hitmaker feels like his music career is limited because he came from the TV talent show, and although he’s proud of what he’s achieved thanks to the show, he wants to explore other ways of expressing his creativity and thinks acting is in his future.
He said: “Sometimes I feel like there’s only so far I can go when you take into consideration where I came from, you know, I can only feel like I’m gonna be overlooked for so long in this field. It’s amazing what I’ve been able to do since ‘The X Factor’ and sometimes I feel like I kind of used to make music for myself and to inspire other people and my competitive ego sometimes gets in the way. Acting is a good, pretending to be other people and exploring another avenue of creativity.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen will finish his new album and plot a tour with the E Street Band once he wraps promo on his upcoming music documentary.
The 70-year-old rocker has been busy with his directional debut, ‘Western Stars – which he helmed with the help of Thom Zimny – and he’s joked he’ll be back to the “day job” once the movie is released on October 25.
Asked what’s next for him, he told The Sun newspaper: “I got to go back to the day job, you know, got to pay the bills.
“We’ll work on the record and after we get it done, we’ll start to book some dates.
“One, two, three, four! The highway’s jammed with broken heroes on a last-chance power drive.”
The ‘Dancing In The Dark’ rocker recently admitted that while he was struggling to write anything for his iconic group of musicians, he had a sudden spark of creativity which has prompted him to put plans in place for another trip on the road.
He said: “I’ve spent about seven years not writing anything for the band. I couldn’t write anything for the band.
“And then about a month or so ago, I wrote almost an album’s worth of material for the band and it came out of just… I mean I know where it came from, but at the same time, it just came out of almost nowhere.
“I had almost two weeks of those daily visitations and it was so nice. “It makes you so happy. You go, ‘Fine, I’m not f***ed.’ There’ll be another tour.”
The Boss also opened up on why he feel “darkness” is so appealing to artists, and revealed he still revisits his hometown of Long Branch, New Jersey to reflect.
He explained: “If you’re an artist, the darkness is always more interesting than the light. It’s nice when you let the light in at the end of something, but I was always interested in what were the things that didn’t go right.
“I had a habit – I would drive back to my hometown and I would do this over and over again and I used to ask myself, ‘what am I coming back here for?’ And I still do it.”
