OHMYGOSSIP — La Roux will release her new album ‘Supervision’ in February 2020.
The 31-year-old singer – whose real name is Elly Jackson – has confirmed details of for her upcoming third record, which is the long awaited follow-up to 2014’s ‘Trouble In Paradise’, and she has also unveiled a brand new single alongside the announcement.
This week, the ‘Bulletproof’ hitmaker released fresh track ‘International Women of Leisure’ – complete with a video to accompany the tune – after weeks of teasing her fans on social media.
La Roux has written, produced, and played the entirety of ‘Supervision’ from her kitchen in Brixton, while she took the songs to Dan Carey to finish the album.
The collection will drop on February 7 through the star’s own Supercolour Records, and fans can already pre-order the LP.
La Roux formed in 2006 and originally featured producer Ben Langmaid.
The pair released their self-titled debut album in 2009, but Elly and Ben parted ways during early 2012, and she ended up finishing ‘Trouble in Paradise’ by herself.
Elly previously revealed she separated from her bandmate because she had become a ”different person”.
The ‘In for the Kill’ singer claimed problems emerged between the pair because she spent so long touring their self-titled debut album in America and returned with a different set of influences.
She explained: ”It was always going to be difficult because we’d had a long time away from each other when I was on tour.
”We weren’t really that connected and I’d realised what kind of performer I wanted to be onstage, which led to me finding my first record restricting. I came back home and I felt like a different person.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shakespears Sister aren’t ruling out the possibility of a new album.
The pop duo – made up of former Bananarama star Siobhan Fahey and US musician Marcella Detroit – didn’t speak for 26 years, but after mending their relationship the pair are leaving things open after releasing new Ep ‘Ride Again’.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Marcella said: “We will see what happens. We’ve just got the EP, Ride Again, now and that wasn’t planned. There wasn’t really time to do an entire album.”
The ‘Stay’ hitmakers decided to head to Josha Tree National Park in California after reconnecting, and decided to lock themselves away and write for four days.
Siobhan revealed: “In those four days we wrote ‘All The Queen’s Horses’, our first song in 27 years. OK, game on! This is magic. Then we wrote ‘C U Next Tuesday’, which I Iove as well.
“It was like the air was pregnant and it literally gave birth. Marcy is an incredible musician and can play with any crazy idea that I might come up with – anything from funk and soul to country. Or garage rock or whatever.”
Earlier this year, the two stars explained what was really happening behind the scenes and how all these years later, they discovered that their friendship broke down because of “miscommunications” from the people around them which they both misinterpreted and led to a “fraught atmosphere” in their final days as a duo in early 90s.
Siobhan previously said: “The s**t around us got in the way of our friendship and then the mutual paranoia built up. The environment around us  . . .  there were certain personages who were divisive.
“There were a couple of incidents. I think in the past few months of our touring I was counting down the days because it was so difficult.
“The atmosphere was so fraught, we weren’t speaking. It was no fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hoppus has taken credit for My Chemical Romance’s reunion and says Oasis are next.
The blink-182 rocker has responded to news the ‘Teenagers’ band – who split back in 2013 and haven’t played a show in seven years – will be getting back together for an intimate gig at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on December 20, just months after Hoppus hinted it was on the cards.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Re: My Chemical Romance. I told you.”
He later added: “Now if only I could do the same thing with Oasis…”
The ‘What’s My Age Again’ bassist has a history of taking credit for band’s reunions, and he did just that when Jonas Brothers confirmed their comeback earlier this year as he set his sights on My Chemical Romance.
Referencing frontman Gerard Way, he quipped: “So the other day I was like ‘Hey whatever happened to the Jonas Brothers?’ Made a few calls, yada yada, here we are.
“You’re welcome, people. I’m calling Gerard next. I got a feeling that in 2019-2020 I can make this one happen as well. Same with your divorced parents. Hit me up.”
All Time Low singer Alex Gaskarth also tried to jokingly claim it was his idea, and followed that by showing his excitement as he referenced MCR’s hit single ‘Welcome to The Black Parade’.
He tweeted: “Today feels like a good day to tell you all that when I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band.
“He said, ‘Son, when you grow up will you be the saviour of the broken, the beaten and the damned?’
“He said, ‘Will you defeat them; your demons and all…”
Fans and fellow musicians alike are buzzing about the news, and Linkin Park guitarist Mike Shinoda revealed the group’s gigs with the rock icons were some of his “favourite shows of all time”.
He said: “Welcome back @MCRofficial. Our shows with My Chemical Romance were some of my favourite shows of all time. All my love to Gerard and the boys.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa could be collaborating with Miley Cyrus.
The ‘New Rules’ hitmaker admitted she has been “talking about” a potential song with the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer after speculation the two stars have been working together on a new track called ‘Coldblood’.
When asked about the possibility on ‘Capital Breakfast’, Dua said: “Potentially. Potentially. I’m a big fan of hers and she’s so lovely.
“We’re thinking about doing something together in the near future. Nothing has happened yet but we are talking about it.”
The 24-year-old singer also cleared up rumours of her collaborating with Ariana Grande for the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ soundtrack as she explained the song was only intended for the star’s album but was never released because of timing issues.
She added: “The song that me and Ariana did together was originally for her record. And then the timing didn’t really work for either of us because I had just finished putting music out and she was working on her next record.”
The song has since gone to Normani and Nicki Minaj, something she is “super happy” about
Meanwhile, Dua recently released her new single, ‘Don’t Start Now’, a track she describes as the launch of her “new era”.
She explained in a statement: “I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another.
“Into a new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that.
“It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made ‘New Rules’ with.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kimberly Wyatt is “optimistic” about a Pussycat Dolls reunion.
The 37-year-old singer insisted she has no news to share following speculation she and her former bandmates, Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Carmit Bachar, Melody Thornton and Jessica Sutta have signed a multimillion dollar deal to embark on a huge world tour but admitted it would “be a dream” to get on stage with them in front of her and husband Max Rogers’ three kids, Willow, four, Maple, two, and two-week-old Senna.
She said: “There’s nothing I can share but I’m staying optimistic about it all. I’d definitely be up for it. I’m a mum of three now so getting back up on stage would be a lovely thing to share with them. The first time I was on stage with the Pussycat Dolls was the most empowering moment of my life. To live in that space again and show my children what that means to be would be a dream.”
The group previously had tension due to Nicole’s higher profile but Kimberly hopes a reunion would see a more equal division of vocal duties and time in the spotlight.
She added to OK! magazine: “That’s not my decision to make but I’d like to think we’d all be more equal this time. It would be brilliant.”
Meanwhile, Nicole previously claimed she was too “busy” for a reunion.
She said: “I’ve heard about those rumours as well. I cannot confirm those rumours. I love my girls, I miss touring with them, we had the best times together.
“But I can’t confirm anything right now. Because I’m so busy, I’m doing three different shows on three different continents.”
And that’s not all because the ‘Masked Singer’, ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and ‘X Factor Celebrity’ judge is also working on new solo material in the recording studio.
She quipped: “[I’m] making sure I have creative Nicole time.”
However, the 41-year-old star admitted she “wouldn’t rule” out a reunion altogether and believes the ‘Buttons’ hitmakers are like a “fine wine” and get better with time.

OHMYGOSSIP — My Chemical Romance’s comeback show sold out in minutes.
The ‘Teenagers’ hitmakers – comprised of brothers Gerard and Mikey Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and James Dewees – announced plans to return to the stage together for the first time in seven years earlier this week, and after tickets for their one-off Los Angeles show went on sale on Friday (01.11.19), they were all gone almost immediately.
The band – who split in 2013 – are set to play Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall on December 20, and it looks as though they’ll be playing to a sold-out crowd, as hundreds of fans flocked to social media to express their sadness at being unable to attend after tickets were snapped up in just two minutes.
The show will mark their first performance together since 2012, and comes almost a decade after their last album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’, which was released in 2010.
Meanwhile, frontman Gerard ruled out the prospect of getting back together in an interview earlier this year.
He said: “We definitely get offers regularly to reunite – it’s a constant thing…It’s flattering, it’s really nice of people … I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so.”
Gerard, 42, admitted one of the reasons why the ‘Na Na Na’ musicians split up was because they stopped having “fun” and felt under a lot of pressure while making their last album.
He said: “When things start to succeed and go really well … that’s when a lot of people start to have an opinion and that’s when you run into struggle … everybody had a f***ing opinion about what MCR should be. So it made it difficult to figure out what direction to take next. You get caught up in this trap of ‘Is it ever gonna be good enough?’
“It wasn’t fun to make stuff any more. I think breaking up the band broke us out of that machine.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams will be “keeping” his daughter Teddy’s share of royalties from their Christmas song for now.
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker’s seven-year-old girl makes a small appearance on the track ‘Home’ on Robbie’s upcoming festive record ‘The Christmas Present’, but he has revealed he will be holding onto the track’s earnings until his eldest child is old enough to manage her own money.
Robbie, who doesn’t plan to give Teddy a credit on the song either, told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “No, not yet. I’ll be keeping them.”
Asked if she will get a mention in the credits, he replied: “I don’t know, it’s not a duet, it’s only a very small bit.”
The 45-year-old singer shared how he just heard Teddy singing in their home studio one day and was blown away by her voice.
On how the feature came about, he said: “Teddy is on a track called ‘Home’.
“I have a studio in my house and the kids wander down.
“This particular time she was singing and I said, ‘You sound great, baby – do you think you can remember these words?’. She knocked it out of the park.”
Robbie recently revealed that his wife Ayda Field, 40, their daughter Coco, 13 months, and son Charlie, five, didn’t make the cut.
Speaking on Instagram Live, he said: “Appearing on her first Robbie Williams song this Christmas is Theodora Rose Williams.”
Ayda responded: “You’re going to have to start including the other children.”
However, Robbie bluntly told his spouse: “Teddy is the only one who can sing.”
And Ayda said: “On one of them I’m singing … It didn’t make the cut.”
Meanwhile, the record, which is released on November 22, also features a duet with Tyson Fury.
The ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker asked the 31-year-old boxer to sing on ‘Bad Sharon’, a song about a “boozy office party”, and he thinks the heavyweight “smashed it” in the recording studio.
Robbie said of the track: “That makes sense in some sort of universe! I got my residency in Vegas and while I was out there Tyson was fighting and he invited me into his dressing room, is it called a dressing room when you fight? I don’t know.
“And I asked him and he said yes and the song itself, ‘Bad Sharon’, is basically a boozy office party somewhere in the Midlands and it makes sense for Tyson, in that moment in my head, and to be fair he’s smashed it.”
Robbie was also delighted to have both Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart record songs for the album because they have always been inspirations to him.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Hawkins felt like quitting touring with the Foo Fighters because their “long” shows have become a “slog”.
The 47-year-old drummer has revealed how a phone conversation he had with The Eagles star Joe Walsh, who told him how late soul and blues legend B.B. King had a similar feeling, made him realise he needed to “Get the money, shut up and quit being a wimp”, and ultimately it inspired the new Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders LP ‘Get The Money’.
According to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, Taylor recalled: “I was on the road with the Foo Fighters on a three-week slog.
“I don’t know if any of you have ever been to a Foo Fighters show but they’re f***ing long man.
“My legs were tired. I feel like my foot stops working, it’s a physical gig playing drums for Foo Fighters.”
Sharing the advice Joe – who also features on his star-studded solo record, along with the likes of LeAnn Rimes, Roger Taylor, Chrissie Hynde and Duff McKagan – Taylor added: “I said: ‘Joe, I don’t know if I can handle the road any more. I am dying out here.
“So Joe said to me the same thing as [B.B.] and said: ‘Get the money, shut up and quit being a wimp.'”
After making his new solo album, Taylor is back at work with Dave Grohl and co getting their next record ready for release next year, and they are also planning something special for their 25th anniversary, so Joe’s advice clearly paid off.
Asked about their plans, the ‘Learn to Fly’ sticksman said recently: “Well, it’s very possible.
“There’s a lot of talk.
“And I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe.
“I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away.
“But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani has revealed Sia offered her ‘Elastic Heart’.
The No Doubt star told Taylor Swift on ‘The Voice’ on Tuesday (29.10.19), when she appeared as a ‘Mega Mentor’, that the Australian pop star and songwriter had offered her the track before she made it a hit in 2013 with rapper The Weeknd and producer Diplo.
Speaking after contestant Kyndal Inskeep revealed her song choice, Gwen told the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker: “This is so weird, because Sia sent me this song for me to do.”
Both Gwen and Taylor were impressed by the talent show hopeful’s rendition.
Taylor said: That was so interesting — and not in the way that people say that passive-aggressively.
“I loved that you stripped it down … your tone is so beautiful.”
Gwen chose to take Kyndal through to the next stage of the competition.
She said: “She sings from her heart and she just has so much style to her voice.
“Those are the kind of singers I’m looking for.”
When Sia released the track, Gwen hadn’t put out a solo record since 2006’s ‘The Sweet Escape’, but her band No Doubt pleased ‘Push and Shove’ the year before in 2012.
The 50-year-old pop star – who is dating her fellow ‘The Voice’ coach Blake Shelton – previously revealed she completely lost her “confidence” after releasing ‘Push and Shove’.
She explained: “I think after doing ‘Push and Shove’ and having it not be successful, I lost a lot of confidence. Songwriting, for me, has always been traumatic, and I’ve always made all these excuses. But I’ve realised that you have to just accept that it was a gift: “I don’t know where it came from, I don’t know how I did it, but I did write all those songs, and I gotta do it again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Akon says Lady Gaga is still his “little sister”.
The ‘Locked Up’ hitmaker was responsible for kick-starting the career of the global superstar, who he helped sign a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own KonLive Distribution back in 2007, and he has claimed the pair are still as close as ever.
Speaking to Ace about discovering the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Akon said: “Now that one [Lady Gaga] bumped right into me … it was crazy man. The relationship is still solid, that’s still my little sister.”
Whilst Gaga has Akon to thank for spotting her talent, the 46-year-old Senegalese-American singer owes his success to the Fugees, as a young Akon appeared on 1995’s ‘Fu-Gee-La Sly & Robbie Remix’ from their seminal LP ‘The Score’.
He recalled: “The Fugees is how I came into the business … when I moved to New Jersey, the Fugees became my family … that was like my clique, I was a part of the original refugee camp.”
Meanwhile, Akon recently released new Afrobeat record ‘AKONDA’, which is one of several albums he is releasing in 2019.
The first was the Latin LP ‘El Negreeto’, which was released earlier this month, and he then has a hip-hop and R&B album called ‘Konnect’ on the way, plus collaborative record ‘The Konnection’, set for release in December 2019, which will include guest artists such as Nicki Minaj, Pitbull and Ty Dolla $ign.
He said: “This year I’m dropping three albums back-to-back.
“I always wanted to do this.
“Everyone says it’s impossible.
“Well I’m putting out different albums of different genres: I’m putting out a Latin album, a hip-hop album and an Afrobeat album.”
The ‘Lonely’ hitmaker admitted he finds the music industry much “easier” than it was 15 years ago, because streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music make it so simple to get music out into the world.
He said: “I’m enjoying it a lot more now than I did back then. Back then it was a little different because we worked harder.
Today is actually easier, because of the platforms and how the digital age kinda caught up to music and technology.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher will be the first-ever recipient of the Rock Icon award at the 2019 MTV EMAs.
The former Oasis frontman will take to the stage at the ceremony at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain, on November 3, to collect his honour and perform a song from his time in the Britpop group and a track from his latest solo LP ‘Why Me? Why Not.’
A post on the MTV EMAs’ Twitter account announced: “Liam Gallagher is @mtvema’s 2019 Rock Icon. Watch the performance live on @mtv this Sunday November 3rd #mtvema (sic)”
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker is also nominated for the Best Rock accolade alongside Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Imagine Dragons and The 1975.
Liam, 47, has beaten his estranged older brother and former bandmate Noel Gallagher, 52, to the Rock Icon title.
The ‘Shockwave’ hitmaker was crowned Godlike Genius at the 2018 NME Awards, something which he admitted was a long-time coming, and should have happened to him at the same time as Noel, who won the title in 2012, so he’ll no doubt have something to say about getting the MTV honour first.
Liam said at the ceremony that he believes they both put in equal amounts of hard work during their time in the band.
The rocker fumed: “I think we both should have won one at the same time.
“Just because we both put a lot of work into those songs.
“I know he wrote them, but I sung them so I have got the hump about that.
“But it’s nice to get an award isn’t it?”
Meanwhile, Liam – who has been in a long-running feud with his sibling since the ‘Wonderwall’ group split up following a backstage bust-up between the pair at their concert in Paris in 2009 – joked this week that he’s going to attend Noel’s upcoming outdoor concert at at London’s Kenwood House on June 21, 2020, just to boo at him.
When a fan asked him if he’ll be inviting his rival brother to stay at his home in the city after the gig, Liam replied: “F**k that I’ll be in the crowd booing I know some top little spots where you sneak n and ting (sic)”
The MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) will be aired live on MTV on Sunday (03.11.19).

OHMYGOSSIP — A cardigan owned by Kurt Cobain has sold at auction for $334,000.
The Nirvana frontman – who died in April 1994 – wore the garment during the band’s MTV ‘Unplugged’ performance in 1993, and the stained cardigan has not been cleaned since.
The item went under the hammer in New York on Saturday (26.10.19), and is said to be the most expensive sweater ever sold at auction.
According to Darren Julien, the president of Julien’s Auction, the cigarette-burned cardigan is “the holy grail of any article of clothing that he ever wore”.
What’s more, the music icon’s custom-made Fender Mustang guitar was sold at the auction for $340,000, having spent several years on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile, Courtney Love claimed earlier this year that the musician’s ghost once spoke to her while sitting in a chair.
The 55-year-old singer was married to the late Nirvana frontman from 1992 until his death, and Courtney said she saw him again from beyond the grave.
When asked whether she has ever seen a ghost, Courtney said: “When I moved to Hancock Park from Seattle with Frances and Edward [Norton, her ex-boyfriend], I saw Kurt in a chair for a moment and he said ‘hi’ to me and then he left.”
Kurt died in 1994, when he was found dead at his home in Seattle at the age of 27.
The police ultimately concluded that the rocker died on April 5 from a self-inflicted shotgun wound.

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber has asked fans to decide if he’ll release an album before Christmas.
The ‘What Do You Mean’ hitmaker is working on new music but will bring it out sooner than planned if his fans can get him to 20 million likes on an Instagram post.
He wrote in the body of the post, “If this gets 20 million likes, Justin Bieber will release an album before Christmas,” and in the caption section, he commented: “Share it, like it, post in your story, I gotta see the demand 😉 love you guys pumped for it! I’m almost done but your support will make me move faster (sic)”
Meanwhile, in March, the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker said he wouldn’t be rushing his return to music because he wanted to take the time to make something he could be proud of.
He wrote in a lengthy social media post: “So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realised and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.
“I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele feels like it was the “right time” to make a Christmas album.
The ‘Glee’ star says she is happier than ever at the moment, and therefore felt it was the best time for her to work on a holiday LP to share her happiness with the world.
She said: “There’s nothing happier than a Christmas record. For me especially, it just reminds me of so many amazing memories and feelings from growing up. That in conjunction with where I’m at personally right now, being a newlywed, I definitely felt like it was the right time. Bringing all of that happiness into the record definitely made a difference. You can hear it.”
And the 33-year-old actress and singer is excited for the release of ‘Christmas in The City’.
She added: “As a singer, I love Christmas music and it has always been my dream to make a Christmas album. When I was on Glee we did a ton of Christmas songs, and they were always the most fun to sing. I figured this is my third record and it just felt like the right time to come out with the next one and have it be a Christmas album. I love the holidays so much and I especially love Christmas in New York, since it is where I’m from. With all of those things combined, it felt like it was the perfect time in my life and in my career to come out with this album.”
Lea has sung a number of covers for the album but has also penned an original track, titled ‘Christmas in New York’, an ode to her home state.
She told Billboard: “The whole theme of this record for me is really about coming home for the holidays. For me, that place is New York – it’s where I was born and raised and worked on Broadway my entire life before moving to L.A. I really wanted to honour my city, and the best way I could really do that was to write a love song about it.”

The ‘Liar’ hitmaker unveiled new music recently and her track is dedicated to her “ride-or-dies” that have supported her for years upon years.
Speaking on Sirius XM’s Hits 1, she said: “So this one I did for my fans. Because my ride-or-dies that have been with me for years, they’ve seen everything and they’ve been a part of my life. And social media amplifies your connection with people, so I actually feel way closer to them than I’ve ever been before. So I wanted them to know that I was OK. The 27-year-old singer’s new music is something she’s “passionate about”.
She said recently: “I spent years living in fear of speaking up or saying things and I guess that’s just the people-pleaser in me. And there was a huge moment where I just stopped caring, and I can’t tell you when that moment was, I really can’t. But it’s not that I’m trying to make it specifically about just one subject in my life. It’s more just how I embody all of the experiences into one, and I fully believe that this is always just something that I’m going to be passionate about. I don’t want to not express what I feel because I know there’s millions of people who feel the exact same way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Notting Hill Arts Club (NHAC) is launching its own record label.
The historic London independent music venue – which has hosted the like of Ed Sheeran, Mark Ronson and Lily Allen early in their careers – is looking to provide a platform for the next generation of musicians in a defiant stance against the closure of clubs across the UK.
Ewan Grant – Chief Operating Officer at the Notting Hill Academy Of Music, Relentless Records and the Notting Hill Arts Club – will front the new project.
He said: “Starting the label seemed like a natural progression for the business.
“Over the years we have had some really special acts come through our doors at the early stages of their careers, and as we are all heavily invested in quality music across the businesses, it seemed the right time to set up the label and put out music that we can add value to and that we have a passion and love for.”
He will be joined at the top by Shabs Jobanputra – MD of Relentless Records and founder of the Academy – and he’s looking forward to seeing ways to combat change in the industry.
Shabs added: “The closure of so many key venues over the years has seen a need to adapt and diversify the core business model.
“With the label, the venue and the academy, we see this as a massive win-win for artists, employees and students.”
The label will launch with a special event at the Arts Club on November 13 with the first trio of artists signed to the label – Grimm Twins, Jesse Wong and Birthday Card – all confirmed for the show.
Macclesfield band Grimm Twins will also be the first release for the NHACR with their record coming on November 15.
