OHMYGOSSIP — Remains of a body found in 1982 have been identified as Frank “Frankie” Little Jr.
The former O’Jays musician – who joined the band in the mid-1960s as a guitarist and songwriter – worked on a number of hits including ‘Do The Jerk’ and ‘Pretty Words’.
On Tuesday (14.15.21), the Twinsburg Police Department confirmed that human remains found in a bin bag behind a now-closed business back in 1982 belonged to the late musician.
They noted that the “genealogical research of the DNA Doe Project” helped identify the body after almost four decades, as the project supplied “the names of potential living relatives, who were able to provide Frank’s name” two months ago.
In their statement, police added: ““A close relative provided a DNA sample, which was analysed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab.
“His identity was then confirmed by Dr. Lisa Kohler of the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.”
His death has now been ruled as a homicide, although there are few details “about his disappearance and death”.
Indeed, it was previously determined by forensic anthropologists that his remains had been around for two to four years before being found in 1982.
Speaking to WEWS, Twinsburg Detective Eric Hendershott commented: “It’s definitely nice that we can give some answers to the family and hopefully they have some sense of closure.
“He had a life, and ultimately he ended up here in Twinsburg, with his life taken by another.”
And The O’Jays have addressed the discovery and said they hope his “family and friends” find closure.
In a statement to CNN, they said: “Frankie was a guitarist and songwriter in the very early O’Jays.
“He came with us when we first ventured out of Cleveland and travelled to Los Angeles, but he also was in love with a woman in Cleveland that he missed so much that he soon returned back to Cleveland after a short amount of time.
“That was in the mid 1960s and we had not heard from him after then.
“Although this sounds like a tragic ending, we wish his family and friends closure to what appears to be a very sad story.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Alexander was inspired by missing late night “hookups” and clubbing for the new Years & Years album.
The 31-year-old musician – whose band has became a solo project earlier this year – is set to release new LP ‘Night Call’ in January and he’s described the record as his “escape”.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he said: “It’s a good feeling. After the two years we’ve had, I’ve become a solo artist. So making this record has been challenging.
“But it was like my escape. So I put all the kind of stuff I was missing, like going out, dancing, having sex. Just put it all into the record.
“And it’s just such a good feeling because you never know when something’s going to be finished, if you’re ever going to put it out. But it’s coming out.”
Olly revealed he sees the album as a collection of tracks to be “played at nighttime”, and its title came naturally.
He explained: “Well, ‘Night Call’ the song kind of came sort of towards the end of the writing process and recording process.
“But I knew all these songs, a lot of them about hookups or about kind of encounters at nighttime. So it was an album that I imagined being played at nighttime.
“And then I was thinking of really other terms for hookups. And ‘Night Call’, it pleased me because I felt like it worked on lots of different levels.
“It just felt like something that would… It was a little mysterious, but it felt sexy as well.”
And while Olly wanted to “keep sadness as far away as possible” on the new material, he admitted it “crept into a couple” of tracks.
He added: “There’s one song called ‘Make It Out Alive’, which I wrote before the rest of ‘Night Call’, but I love the song and really wanted to keep it in.
“That was from a much darker place where I was just, ‘Wow, things are really feeling a bit tough’. And then another one of the songs called ‘See You Again’, really just came from after my gran died. I was, ‘Oh, I’d love to see her again.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Papa Roach went through “hell and heaven” while making their latest album.
The ‘Last Resort’ hitmakers are due to drop their 11th studio album early next year, and frontman Jacoby Shaddix admitted the band managed to “air some grievances” as they were creating their new record.
He said: “A lot of walls came down emotionally between us and it really made for great music.
“And we aired some grievances in the process and really got through some stuff together and came out on the other side of the process of this record feeling like, ‘Man, we just went through hell and heaven to make this record. We’ve got something special.’
“It’s just really exciting.”
The 45-year-old star admitted he and his fellow bandmates – Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance, and Tony Palermo – were “just destroyed” and had “no energy left” after spending a month in Temecula, California, getting the record off the ground.
Speaking on the Danny Wimmer Presents YouTube channel, he added: “I think the process of making this record, we kicked it off the right way.
“We were locked up in quarantine, and we just kept FaceTiming with each other, calling each other, like, ‘Dude, I’m going crazy.’ Tobin hits me up, ‘Bro, what are we gonna do, man? We’ve gotta do something. We’ve gotta get creative.’
“And so we all locked up in this house down south in a place called Temecula and stayed there for a month and just started writing music. And it was like a floodgate opened. And it was, like, 24-7 — literally there was music happening for the better part of 24 hours a day, whether it’s editing or engineering or writing or recording or tracking. And by the time we got done with this process at this house, we all left like we were just destroyed.
“We had no energy left. Everybody needed to just get home and recharge. But it was such a great bonding experience for the boys and our producers and our engineers and just a really special time in our lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has recorded a racy new dance track with DJ Alesso.
The 37-year-old singer – who has a 15-month-old daughter called Daisy with Orlando Bloom – has teamed up with Alesso for her comeback track.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The song is classic Katy and deserves to be a hit.
“She’s finally back to the dark hair she rocked during the height of her fame. The video has already been filmed and includes a number of looks which could be as iconic as her cupcake bra.”
On the track, Katy sings: “You’re chasing the danger, it’s just in your nature. Look for me in strangers, all these pretty faces.
“No one can replace it, I’m always your favourite. Late nights, call on me, call on me. Do anything to keep me close.”
Meanwhile, Katy is currently preparing for her first-ever Las Vegas residency.
The pop star’s new show, ‘Katy Perry:PLAY’, is being staged at the Resorts World Casino in Sin City, and Katy recently explained how she’ll balance the shows with the challenge of motherhood.
She said: “I really wanted to be able to strike more of a balance – to have a child and take her to preschool – but also be artistic and play with that energy.”
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer also revealed that having sweet family moments are “so important” to her.
Katy explained: “Orlando and I just did a hike with our daughter. We went to look at some ducks and turtles because it’s so important for me to have those moments every single day, especially when I’m working from 2pm to 9pm.”

The 74-year-old star confessed to loving the tasty treat during his upcoming Christmas collaboration with LadBaby, ‘Sausage Rolls for Everyone’.
LadBaby told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “As we were singing, he ate it all.
“At the end of the video he said: ‘That’s the best sausage roll I’ve ever had. Where’s that from?’ We said Greggs. And he said: ‘I’m not going to Sainsbury’s anymore. That’s where I’m getting them from’.”
The chart-topping icon and Ed Sheeran have decided to rework their festive hit ‘Merry Christmas’ in an effort to help LadBaby achieve another Christmas number one single.
And LadBaby – who has raised more than £1.2 million through his previous Christmas number ones – was thrilled to work with Elton and Ed on the record.
He said: “It’s quite surreal. Windsor Castle to a Greggs sausage roll.”
LadBaby is aiming to surpass the Spice Girls and the Beatles as the act with the most consecutive UK Christmas number ones.
And Ed, 30 – who topped the Christmas charts in 2017 with ‘Perfect’ – previously revealed he felt “proud” to be supporting LadBaby’s single.
He said: “All profits will be donated to The Trussell Trust, which is a very wonderful and important charity, so make sure you stream it, buy it and play it on repeat.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen has sold his entire back catalogue of music to Sony for $500 million.
The 72-year-old star – who is one of the world’s best-selling artists – has sold his masters and music publishing rights to Sony Music in a money-spinning deal.
The agreement will see Sony assume ownership of Springsteen’s entire catalogue, which includes his hit album ‘Born in the USA’, Billboard reports.
The two parties came to an agreement in recent weeks, but additional details about the contract remain unknown for the time being.
Sony has also decided against making a public announcement about the deal.
Over the last 12 months, a host of big-name music artists have decided to sell their back catalogues, including the likes of Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Stevie Nicks, Neil Young and now, Spingsteen.
In December last year, Dylan sold his back catalogue of more than 600 songs to Universal Music Group.
Universal reportedly paid $300 million for the rights, and the company hailed the move at the time as the “most significant music publishing agreement this century”.
Jody Gerson, the chairman and CEO of the publishing company, said: “To represent the body of work of one of the greatest songwriters of all time – whose cultural importance can’t be overstated – is both a privilege and a responsibility.

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has revealed he was approached about a musical solely about himself.
The 54-year-old rocker has previously revealed it’s likely a musical about his and his estranged arch-nemesis brother and former bandmate Liam Gallagher’s iconic band Oasis will see the light of day, but he’s now revealed he’s been suggested one all about himself.
He told his friend Matt Morgan on YouTube: “The idea of a musical has been floated to me on more than one occasion.
“An Oasis musical and one about me. Somebody had an idea of like a Noel Gallagher one called ‘Everybody Is On The Run’ and then there was an idea for an Oasis one.”
The ‘Some Might Say’ hitmaker – who has daughter Anais, 21, with ex-wife Meg Matthews, and sons Donovan, 14, and Sonny, 11, with current spouse Sara MacDonald – then discussed his 10-year solo career with High Flying Birds, but admitted he is more proud of his youngest son.
He told his comedian pal: “My solo career is 10 years old, which is the same age as my son.
“I would have to say I am most proud of my son, as they both give me an extraordinary amount of joy. I have to say my son.”
He joked: “I really mean my career, but I am going to have to say my son.”
Noel continued: “I would not say I am proud of my career but I am proud of Sonny boy though.
“I am not proud of what I do as I expect it to be great and I move on to the next thing.
“I don’t stand there saying: ‘Isn’t this wonderful?’”
In 2019, the ‘Slide Away’ songwriter and guitarist revealed he had been approached by producers who want to put together a stage show based on his and Liam’s rise to fame with Oasis and Noel even admitted he will go and see it when it finally gets made.
He said: “The musical! People have been on to me about that for the last 10 years. And funnily enough ‘Live Forever’ is always the title.
“I spoke to an English guy who works on Broadway who knows about these things and he was like saying, ‘Your journey from rags to riches’. And I was like, ‘Do you have to make it so Dickensian? I never wore any rags’. People do love that sh*t, I know. It’s inevitable it will happen one day. I will go and see it once.”
Oasis split in 2009 following backstage bust-up between the feuding siblings at their final concert in Paris.
Both Noel and Liam, 49, have gone on to have successful solo careers.
The former has released three albums with High Flying Birds between 2011 and 2017, and the latter is gearing up to release his third solo effort, ‘C’mon You Know’, next May.

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Redknapp thinks her new lyrics might make people “worry” about her.
The ‘2 Faced’ hitmaker has been working on the follow-up to her 2020 LP ‘Heavy Love’ – which was her fourth record and her first collection in two decades – and she insisted the new material is meant to be “really empowering”.
She told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “At the moment my phone is full of lyrics. The last two or three months, I’ve got a lot of lyrics down.
“Right now everything I write I want it to be positive and want it to be really empowering, like a moving-forward album.
“If someone was to look at my notes they would probably worry about me, for the things I’ve written down on there.”
The AGE-year-old star – who sang about relationship and personal issues on her last record – wants her upcoming album to be different, and she is “going in strong” with the first single.
She teased: “Dare I say I think we have the first single. I’m going in strong. The direction we want to go in is a step on from ‘Heavy Love.’ ”
And Louise – who is hoping to be “gigging a lot” to support the collection – has also reflected on her comeback last year, which saw some people accuse her of trying to be too sexy in the ‘Stretch’ video.
Now, she has responded: “I did worry people would think the music video was too sexy, I over worry.
“But I loved coming back so strong, no matter what people thought, whether I should have a leotard on or off, the most important part of our life as artists is to say I’m pleased with that decision and ‘Stretch’ was that moment for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge says there are “no plans” for a Saturdays reunion.
The 32-year-old ‘Loose Women’ panellist has just completed a stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ castle in North Wales, but she has dashed hopes of the ‘All Fired Up’ girl group getting back together any time soon.
Speaking to Metro’s Guilty Pleasures column, she said: “There are no plans, unless the girls made a plan without me while I was away.”
The singer finished in third place on the ITV reality show – which was won by former ‘Emmerdale’ star Danny Miller – and she embarrassed herself singing their hit ‘What About Us’ and admitted “that probably shouldn’t happen again.”
What also puts Frankie off a reunion is the fact she doesn’t think she will be able to do their dance routines again.
She added: “I don’t think we’d ever rule it out but I can’t see me getting up, doing all that dancing.”
The Saturdays went on hiatus in 2014 – but in 2017, Molly King, 34, admitted she hopes one day to perform again with Frankie, Una Healy, 40, and Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes, both 32.
She said at the time: “Being in The Saturdays was a dream come true and I’d love for there to be a reunion in the future.
“When you’re in this industry, you’ve got to trust yourself and go with your gut and that’s what we did.
“You have to try not to get wrapped up in anything.”
A year later, Rochelle insisted they never talk about getting the band back together, but they remain close.
She said: “We never talk about it, we’re so happy that we’re doing what we’re doing and that we’re all friends and when we get together it’s more about catching up on everyone’s lives and the kids, so it’s never really on the agenda.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Aitch has said he would offer Liam Gallagher £7 million to feature on his album.
The ‘Rain’ rapper took to Twitter to reveal the whopping price he’d pay to have the former Oasis frontman on his record.
He wrote: “I will pay £7 Million for you to be on my album @liamgallagher.”
The ‘Wonderwall’ star has yet to respond to the offer on the micro-blogging site.
However, the comment saw the 22-year-old fellow Mancunian receive some hate from one follower who offered to pay him £6 to quit music.
Aitch – whose real name is Harrison Armstrong – quipped back: “I’ll send you my bank details now.”
The star has made no secret of his dream to collaborate with the 49-year-old Manchester legend.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I wanna do a song with Liam, man.”
And he’d settle for just a clip of the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker delivering a one-liner.
When asked if his team has approached Liam, he said in the 2020 interview: “I don’t think so. We will have to do something. Even if it’s just a skit for my album, just him saying something, I just need something.”
The BRIT Award-nominated artist has already appeared on hits with the likes of Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and AJ Tracey.
And he’s also name-dropped Harry Styles and Rita Ora as other artists he’s keen to record a song with.
Meanwhile, Aitch, who shot to fame after uploading clips to YouTube, previously revealed that he learned to rap by watching 2000 horror comedy blockbuster ‘Scary Movie’.
He said: “There’s a scene where the Scream character starts spitting bars about slicing people up and me and my boy just found it so funny.
“We would rewind that scene all the time and remix bars. We just kept doing that for hours, writing our own rhymes. ‘Scary Movie’ made me spit bars.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn, Bastille and Anne-Marie have announced shows as part of BRITs Week presented by Mastercard for War Child.
Just like previous years, a bunch of intimate gigs will take place in London around the time of the BRIT Awards with Mastercard, between February 1 and 20, in aid of the charity that supports children affected by conflict.
Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad & The Queen star Damon will close the series on February 20 at the Troxy, performing tracks from his acclaimed latest solo LP, ‘The Nearer The Mountain, More Pure The Stream Flows’, plus fan-favourites.
Bastille are set to take to the stage at the Earth Theatre on February 2, and the pop star will play Lafayette the night before.
Other stars performing include Becky Hill, Mimi Webb and Craig David.
All proceeds will go to War Child, and more names will be added shortly.
Ben Anderson, Head of Live at War Child, said: “We are delighted to be working with BPI and AEG once again on another BRITs Week series.
“Whilst there was a temporary pause on all things live music over the past 12 months or so, there was no pause to the challenges facing children who live in conflict zones around the world. OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has teased that her new album will be released in 2022.
The ‘Up’ rapper has been tied up with becoming a mother-of-two and also has a new movie role in ‘Assisted Living’ to prepare for.
But she has reassured fans that her follow-up to 2018’s ‘Invasion of Privacy’ will be out next year.
She told fans on Instagram Live this week: “It’s been a lot trying to balance out my new motherf****** life.
“I have a lot of jobs now.
“I’m in a lot of positions that require a lot of my time, and on top of that, I gotta put out this album next year. Not only do I got to put out an album, but I gotta record a movie: I’ve got to do so much s***, y’all.”
Cardi – who revealed she gave birth to a son in September, a sibling to her and Migos star Offset’s three-year-old daughter Kulture – gave a major update in April, when she vowed to disappear for a “very long time” to complete the record.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker also explained how she stopped working on her hotly-anticipated second studio effort, due to the COVID-19 pandemic making her feel “discouraged” and not being able to properly promote or tour it.
She said: “I feel like at this point, it’s like a timeline that I created. Because last year I was like: ‘I gotta put out my album this year.’ But, then I just stopped working on my album out of nowhere because I feel like the whole COVID thing discouraged me to put out my album. Because I want to put out an album, and I want to tour.
“I don’t feel like if I do like, an album promo run and everything, like, there’s no feelings to it, me doing interviews with people through a computer. I want to meet up with people. I want to have a conversation. It’s a better vibe.”
The Grammy-winner also plans to host a series of album releases parties, which she couldn’t do with the coronavirus restrictions.
She said: “I love album release parties. I would love an album release party in New York. I could have one in Atlanta, but I want one also at home. And I want to see people. I shouldn’t fly out 50 of my friends just so they could be there in Atlanta and then somebody might catch COVID. No. So, it’s just something that I stopped, but then now that I keep putting out my singles, I keep saying like: ‘Damn. I have no choice but to put out my album this year.’”

The ‘Out Out’ hitmaker has opened up on his main request from venues when he’s touring the world, and he admitted “some people” find it “weird”.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I ask for Nike black socks on every rider. It’s like an unlimited supply of socks for me.
“Some people think it’s weird, but I don’t. If they are not there then I am upset, I need to send an email.
“I like keeping my sock drawer fresh. I pretty much wear brand new socks every day. It is one of the perks of my life.”
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old DJ has reflected on his love ‘Pokemon’ fandom after teaming up with the franchise as his track ‘Phases’ – which he worked on with rising star Sinead Harnett – appears on the collection ‘Pokemon 25: The Album’ to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
He added: “I remember when I was younger I was so excited when I completed ‘Pokemon Red’ and I collected all the trading cards.
“I’m so happy to be able to relive it as an adult. It’s super cool.”
Earlier this year, Jax launched his own record label WUGD – which he will run with long-term manager Dan Stacey – in partnership with his own label, Universal’s Polydor Records.
Revealing the news over summer, he said: ““Being an artist, I know the courage it takes to make it.
“I want to create an environment for artists to blossom, with access to everything I can offer – from the expertise of my team to a personal relationship with me, free from interference and bulls***, because I believe that’s what it takes to make the best music.”
The label – which has a manifesto written by poet and activist Kai Isaiah Jamal – also comes with a bursary scheme and mentorship programme to help young creatives taking their first steps in the business.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney’s bass guitar has sold at auction for a record-breaking $496,100.
The 79-year-old musician used the Yamaha BB-1200 in the studio and on tour with Wings, and when it was sold at the weekend, the instrument smashed the previously-held record highest selling price of a bass guitar, which was set last year when a 1969 Fender Mustang belonging to former Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman sold for $384,000.
And that wasn’t the only record broken at the auction, which was organised by U2’s The Edge and producer Bob Ezrin for their Music Rising charity.
A Lake Placid Blue Fender Telecaster destroyed by Eddie Vedder during a gig was sold for $266, 200, making it the most expensive smashed guitar ever sold at auction.
Instruments from the likes of U2, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Johnny Marr, Green Day, Sir Elton John, Joan Jett, Kings of Leon, Rush and Radiohead were also part of the auction.
The sale managed to raise over $2 million for the charity, which aims to “benefit musicians in the Gulf South,” following “the devastation the COVID-19 pandemic has wrought on musicians and musical communities”.
The Edge said afterwards: “We want to thank everyone involved in this amazing auction including the artists who generously gave their personal instruments and the bidders from around the globe who helped us break world records.
“The proceeds Music Rising earned will help bring live music back to life in a part of the country whose musical culture has been hugely influential in the world.
“We are indebted to all of the supporters of Music Rising who have given us a great opportunity to return to our roots and help those musicians in need.”
Bob added: “We are so thankful to all of the artists, supporters and bidders who helped make Guitar Icons an auction for the history books. New Orleans musicians are the custodians of a unique music heritage, passing it down through the generations and influencing so many genres of music we enjoy.
“The proceeds from this auction will help musicians from the region who suffered financially through this pandemic.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones have been named the highest-earning touring act of 2021.
The ‘Satisfaction’ hitmakers only played 12 dates of their rescheduled ‘No Filter’ tour, but still pulled in over £87 million from their stadium shows.
According to figures from PollStar in the US, the legendary group earned £87.2 million from live dates this year.
They were followed in second placed by Harry Styles, as the former One Direction singer brought in £65.5 million from 30 sold-out gigs on the ‘Love On Tour’ run.
As well as making £6.1 million from just three nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ star also sold more tickets than anyone in 2021 with 669,051 fans paying to see him perform.
In third place, the Hella Mega Tour – which featured Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer – made £50.8 million, with Eagles (£44.7 million) and Dead & Company (£37.9 million) rounding off the top five.
They were followed by Los Bukis (£37.5 million) in sixth place, with Guns N’ Roses coming in just behind with £35.7 million.
The Dave Matthews Band (£34.7 million), Phis (£33.5 million) and the Jonas Brothers (£32.1 million) completed the top 10.
Last month, Sir Mick Jagger suggested the Stones could tour again next year if “everyone” is feeling up for it.
The band – also including Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood – have been on the road completing their rescheduled ‘No Filter’ US tour dates, which mark their first run without late drummer Charlie Watts, who was replaced by Steve Jordan.
He said: “If things are good next year and everyone’s feeling good about touring, I’m sure we’ll do shows.”
Guitarist Keith admitted he was apprehensive about playing without his right-hand-man, Charlie – who died aged 80 in August – but he and new recruit Steve soon found their groove.
He said of their new sticksman: “I was like, ‘I can’t pick this up without Charlie.’ But once Steve and I got into it: ‘Hey, this is the way it’s supposed to be.’
“From a musical point of view, it’s incredibly energetic and wonderfully inspiring.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow has urged other musicians to get back on tour.
The Take That singer has been on the road for a solo tour around the UK with his band and despite the challenges due to the pandemic – as well as losing a couple of band members to COVID during the run – he insisted performers shouldn’t “wait indefinitely”.
He told Jay Rayner’s ‘Out To Lunch’ podcast: “I’m sure for a lot performers it’s tempting to just think this is too much stress and wait indefinitely.
“But don’t. Despite all the news and scaremongering we’ve watched audiences sing, dance and enjoy themselves night after night.”
Last month, the 50-year-old star admitted he would be avoiding fans during his festive UK tour to do as much as he could to protect himself and the live dates as a whole.
He explained: “We just want to make it through to the end of the tour, which will be a miracle.
“I won’t be coming near anybody. If fans start trying to come near us we are going to be running…
“We have to be so strict. One bad encounter and that could be the tour gone. I am really going to keep myself to myself.”
The ‘Greatest Day’ hitmaker noted at the time that his priority was simply getting “on stage every night”.
He added: “I am going to be slipping in and out of the venues and hotels quickly. I want to make sure I am on stage every night.”
Meanwhile, Gary revealed he doesn’t watch the news anymore because he’s so scared by the pandemic.
He said: “I’m trying not to watch the news as it scares the life out of me but right now the show is great.”
