OHMYGOSSIP — BTS’ three-day concert series ‘BTS Permission To Dance On Stage – Seoul’ was watched by 2.46 million fans.
The K-Pop icons returned to their home city of Seoul, South Korea for three in-person and virtual shows at Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 10, 12 and 13, with 45,000 gig-goers in attendance, with capacity limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The crowd also had to follow COVID-19 protocols that “prohibited any chanting, shouting or standing-up on-site through the concert. Fans were allowed to clap or use the clappers as well as the official lightsticks (ARMY BOMB) to cheer the band during the concert.”
Online, a whopping 1.02 million spectators from 191 countries/regions tuned in on March 10 and 13.
On March 12, a Live Viewing of their performance took place in 3,711 cinemas across the globe, adding 1.4 million viewers to the total.
Addressing fans during the last night, BTS – comprising V, J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, RM, Jungkook and Suga – said: “These three days have been like miracles. After a month, after a year and even in the far future, we will always be waiting for you.”
Before playing the final song ‘Permission to Dance’, they added: “Our last song will be complete with you. Wherever you are, dance with us with your body and in your hearts.”
Jungkook recently admitted singing without fans chanting and singing made it “difficult to perform”.
The 24-year-old singer admitted the protocols imposed because of COVID-19 made it hard to watch.
In a translated Instagram video, he said: “Finally, after two years, although it felt like 23 years, I got to perform in Korea. Like, wow, finally.
“Overall, I felt extremely happy today. Just extremely happy. And, to be honest, I felt at home.
“The thing is, especially in Korea, I usually get to hear the fans chant and sing with me.
“I didn’t get to hear that today though. And that made it really difficult for me today, to perform.”
He continued: “I mean, it was still incredible. But I found it difficult. [it was] just kind of hard on me.
“It was like, I’m looking at ARMYs right in front of my eyes but I wasn’t hearing anything [from the audience] and they can’t get up and dance or anything. They had to stay seated. Yeah, it was just difficult to watch.”
Jungkook admitted he was “concerned” about whether their ARMY – the name of their fanbase – were enjoying the show throughout the set.
He concluded: “I kept worrying, like, ‘Are they having fun? Are they enjoying the show?’ All throughout the show and even after, I was pretty concerned.
‘What we dealt with today? That entire situation was new for us too.
“I miss you all already. I miss the moments on stage. I miss your voices that I would hear from the audience in the past.”
The trio of performances makred their first performance in their homeland since 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is set to star at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
The 31-year-old pop singer will perform on the main stage at Coventry’s War Memorial Park on May 28, and Ed is already looking forward to the event.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker said: “I can’t wait to kick off festival season and perform in front of a live audience at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2022 in Coventry. See you all there!”
The Big Weekend will also feature performances from the likes of Aitch, AJ Tracey, Anne-Marie, Calvin Harris and YUNGBLUD, all of whom will be taking to the main stage on May 28.
Anne-Marie said: “Can’t wait to be back on stage in front of actual humans for Radio 1’s Big Weekend this year! The show is gonna be really special.”
Meanwhile, the line-up on May 29 includes Easy Life, KSI, Mimi Webb, Sam Fender, Sigrid and Tom Grennan.
Already, KSI “cannot wait” to perform in front of his fans in Coventry.
The YouTuber-turned-rapper shared: “Ya boy KSI is performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2022. Cannot wait to get out and perform in front of you all in Coventry. Expect all the hits and maybe even a few surprises!”
Aled Haydn Jones, the Head of Radio 1, has also revealed that even more “exciting names” will be announced for the Big Weekend later this week.
He said: “We are kicking off the UK’s festival season in true Radio 1 style with an incredible line up of acts already on the bill, and more exciting names to be revealed this week.
“We can’t wait to bring our flagship live music event to Coventry for 2022.”
Tickets for the Big Weekend will go on sale on Friday (18.03.22), with more line-up announcements to be made this week on ‘Radio 1 Breakfast’ and on ‘Future Sounds’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton has opted out of the race to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The 76-year-old icon has taken to social media to announce that she’s “respectfully” bowing out of the race, as she doesn’t feel she’s “earned that right”.
The ‘Jolene’ hitmaker said in a post on Instagram: “Dolly here! Even though I am extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right. I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out.
“I do hope that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again – if I’m ever worthy. This has, however, inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I have always wanted to do!”
Dolly subsequently described her husband, Carl Dean, as a “total rock ‘n’ roll freak”.
And she wished the other candidates – which includes the likes of Eminem, Lionel Richie, Rage Against the Machine, Judas Priest and Beck – good luck ahead of the induction.
She wrote on the photo-sharing platform: “My husband is a total rock ‘n’ roll freak, and has always encouraged me to do one. I wish all of the nominees good luck and thank you again for the compliment. Rock on!”
This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class is due to be announced in May, but Dolly previously expressed her surprise at being nominated.
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker said in February: “I was absolutely floored when I heard that. I’ve never thought of myself as being rock ‘n’ roll in any sense of the word.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Mayer has compared his guitar playing skills to “the kid in school who could turn his eyelids inside out”.
The ‘Neon’ musician – whose talents on his hit song have become a TikTok trend – introduced the track at his first show at the Los Angeles Forum over the weekend, and he joked his skills are actually a “freako thing”.
As reported by Billboard, he said: “I feel bad because I have thumbs like a mile long.
“You know, like, the kid in school who could turn his eyelids inside out? That’s sort of what this is. It’s this one freako thing that I can do.”
Last year, TikTok went wild after Mayer shared a “guitar tip” on playing his 1999 track, which involved using the thumb and index finger on the strings, which some people struggled with.
Reflecting on the song and the craze, John added: “[‘Neon’] is interesting to me because it’s one of my oldest songs, and I would have thought that time would just send it down the assembly line and the older songs go in the back and the newer songs go in the front.
“But, suddenly, this song now feels like a TikTok trick shot video challenge song and I feel kind of bad about it, because I wrote this song when I was playing alone in bookstores and cafés and stuff and wanted to get people’s attention.
“It’s a little cynical in the sense that it’s like, a little bit of circus trick.”
Earlier this month, the 44-year-old singer/songwriter revealed he was leaving Columbia Records after 21 years to “pursue new avenues of making music”.
He wrote: “After 21 years, eight studio albums, and some wonderful personal and creative relationships, I have decided not to renew my recording agreement with Columbia Records. Hard as it is to say goodbye, I’m excited to pursue new avenues of making music, both of my own and with other artists.

OHMYGOSSIP — George Michael’s estate has accused Tory Lanez of using an “unauthorised sample” of ‘Careless Whisper’.
The 29-year-old rapper was recently accused by Madonna of ripping off her 1985 hit ‘Into The Groove’ after she called him out for the “illegal” interpolation of her track on ‘Pluto’s Last Comet’ from his LP ‘Alone at Prom’.
The 63-year-old music legend wrote: “Read your messages [f]or illegal usage of my song get into the groove! (sic)”
And now, the estate of the late pop legend is taking action to remove Lanez’s song ‘Enchanted Waterfall’ – which also features on ‘Alone at Prom’ – from streaming platforms after they “declined permission” for him to use the sample last summer.
‘Careless Whisper’ was co-written with George’s Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley and released in 1984.
A statement issued to Variety on behalf of the estate and songwriter Andrew read: “It was brought to our attention that the song ‘Enchanted Waterfall’ by the artist Tory Lanez incorporated an unauthorised sample of ‘Careless Whisper’ written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley … requested permission for this use had been declined in June 2021 so we took immediate action on behalf of the writers, in collaboration with our publishers Warner Chappell Music, to prevent further exploitation as we will not tolerate any unauthorised use of any songs within the catalogues of George Michael and/or Andrew Ridgeley.”
Lanez’s song has already been removed from Spotify.

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello has announced a virtual concert on TikTok to debut new songs from her album ‘Familia’.
Fans of the ‘Havana’ hitmaker can expect “a fantastical trip through the artist’s mind” with the special performance dubbed ‘Familia: Welcome To The Family’, which heads to the video-sharing platform on April 7.
A description of the immersive experience read: “The performance was created using eye-popping XR, augmenting Camila’s singing and choreography with immersive visual effects bringing Camila’s creativity to her fans like never before.
“Camila creates an engrossing virtual world for each song she performs, leading the audience on a surreal journey through an ever-shifting reality. Familia: Welcome To The Family is a one-of-a-kind experience you don’t want to miss.”
The live-stream kicks off at 4pm PT/7pm ET on April 7. The UK reshowing takes place at 7pm BST on April 9.
Camila’s hotly-awaited third studio album was inspired by spending more time with her family during the pandemic.
She said: “I want it to be that kind of family affair, selfishly, because it would make me happy.
“It would make my life better and that’s what I want, so that’s really what I was trying to manifest with this whole album.”
As well as the lead single, ‘Don’t Go Yet’, it’s set to feature her latest collaboration with Ed Sheeran, ‘Bam Bam’.
The former Fifth Harmony star added how she felt like she’d reconnected with her roots and benefited from a newfound sense of freedom.
She said: “I think ‘Don’t Go Yet’ is just I think sonically and melodically, just me being free.

“I think my roots went deeper in a way that I really needed. And I think this album for me was a manifestation. The name of my album is ‘Familia.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence + The Machine have announced three intimate UK shows.
The Florence Welch-led indie group will preview new songs from their upcoming LP ‘Dance Fever’ at the concerts in Newcastle, Blackburn and London next month.
The ‘Dog Days Are Over’ hitmakers will play Newcastle’s O2 City Hall On April 15, Blackburn’s King George’s Hall on April 16 and London’s Theatre Royal on April 19.
As well as debuting new songs, gig-goers can expect fan-favourites.
The band also announced that £1 from every ticket sold will go to the UK-based non-profit Choose Love, which provides humanitarian aid to refugees.
Fans have already had a taste of what to expect from the follow-up to 2018’s ‘High as Hope’ with the trio of singles, ‘King’, ‘Heaven Is Here’ and ‘My Love’, released recently.
For ‘Heaven Is Here’, Florence created choreography to accompany the song for the first time.
Writing on Instagram, the 35-year-old singer shared: “‘Heaven Is Here’ was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio.
“I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamour of joy, fury and grief was the first thing that came out.
“With dance studios also shut it was my dream to one day create choreography with it. So it’s one of the first pieces of music I have made specifically with contemporary dance in mind.”
On ‘KING’, meanwhile, the ‘You’ve Got The Love’ singer considered her gender for the first time and how men have it easier than women in music, particularly with regards to starting a family.
She said in a press release: “As an artist, I never actually thought about my gender that much. I just got on with it. I was as good as the men and I just went out there and matched them every time.
But now, thinking about being a woman in my thirties and the future, I suddenly feel this tearing of my identity and my desires. That to be a performer, but also to want a family might not be as simple for me as it is for my male counterparts.
“I had modelled myself almost exclusively on male performers, and for the first time I felt a wall come down between me and my idols as I have to make decisions they did not.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Daryl Hall believes Eddie Van Halen was “serious” when he asked him to replace David Lee Roth as Van Halen’s lead singer.
The Hall and Oates star has confirmed speculation that he was asked to join the ‘Jump’ band by the late guitarist.
Speaking on New York radio station Q104.3, he said: “I knew those guys really well.
“We actually shared some… crew and things like that. David [Lee Roth] had just left the band, and Eddie [Van Halen] asked me, ‘Do you wanna join Van Halen, man?’”
However, he turned down the offer.
Daryl added: “He was half-joking, but I think he was serious. I really do believe he was serious, and I took it seriously. I said, ‘Man, I think not. I think I’ve got my own s*** going on.’”
David quit the heavy rock group in 1984 to pursue a solo career, despite them being one of the most successful bands of the time, and Sammy Hagar was hired by the group in a bid to reinvent their career.
David reunited with his bandmates in 2007, and appeared on the 2012 LP ‘A Different Kind of Truth’.
Eddie passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer in October 2020 at the age of 65.
Sammy had confirmed that he had been in talks about joining a Van Halen reunion tour with Eddie, Alex Van Halen and David before the axe-slayer’s passing.
He said: “Eddie and Al and Irving Azoff, their manager [and] my dear friend, we were looking at doing the reunion tour with everybody, which is the way it had to be. I’ve been pushing for that for 10 years. I was ready to put [any differences] aside. Let’s go give the fans the biggest band in the world, you know what I mean? You don’t get bigger than Van Halen, and the fans deserve to see it all, hear every song.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Diana Ross is set to play Longleat.
The ‘I’m Coming Out’ hitmaker – who is also playing the Sunday teatime legends slot at Glastonbury in June – has just been announced to headline the Live at Longleat series in Wiltshire, England on July 1.
The show at the wildlife park is part of the music legend’s ‘Thank U Tour’ dates in the UK in support of her 2021 album ‘Thank You’ – which featured the former Supremes star’s first original material since 1999’s ‘Every Day Is a New Day’.
Sir Tom Jones, Simply Red, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe and Tears For Fears were previously confirmed.
The ‘Delilah’ hitmaker will play Longleat on June 23, followed by Simply Red on June 24, Ball and Boe on June 28, and Tears For Fears on July 2.
It was recently reported that Glastonbury organisers are planning to expand the Pyramid Stage just for Diana due to the expected popularity.
Organiser Emily Eavis told The Sun newspaper: “I can’t think of anyone who won’t go and see Diana Ross. We’ve been waiting a long time for this!”
The ‘Chain Reaction’ hitmaker was first announced to be performing at Glastonbury over two years ago but the festival has been delayed twice due to COVID-19.
Emily said at the time of her re-booking: “We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she’s the first to re-confirm for next year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bryan Adams is set to be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’ hitmaker – who released his 15th studio album, ‘So Happy It Hurts’, today (11.03.22) – will be honoured alongside his longtime collaborator and songwriting partner, Jim Vallance, at the ceremony at Toronto’s Massey Hall on September 24.
The pair – who have in recent times worked on the music and lyrics for ‘Pretty Woman The Musical’ – created magic on rock legend Bryan’s 1983 album ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ and its follow-up ‘Reckless’, the latter of which spawned hits ‘Summer of ’69’, ‘Run to You’ and ‘Heaven’.
Meanwhile, Bryan’s new album saw the ‘When You’re Gone’ singer challenge himself by playing the drums for the first time on his own record.
He said: “One of the things I did on this record, which I’d never ever done and never imagined I would have done, is drums. It was always my dream to be the drummer in a band. Just before the lockdown happened, I had bought a drum kit. It was a perfect opportunity to see if I could make this work – and it worked.”
The 62-year-old musician’s drumming idol is the late Led Zeppelin sticksman, John Bonham.
He added: “Well, our mantra – jokingly of course, because by no means am I up to the ankles of this person – was always, ‘What would (John) Bonham have done? He couldn’t have done that – you’re right. Let’s go back and do it again.’ That was kind of the mantra I had for the tracks. And that could be one of the reasons it’s so up.”
Bryan also revealed that British comedy legend John Cleese, 82, came to record a spoken-word piece on the track ‘Kick Ass’ after he spotted him at a restaurant.
He told Cleveland.com: “I happened to be having lunch at a place where John was having lunch, too. I sat next to him and asked him if he’d be up for narrating a song, ‘cause I’d done the narration myself and it was not working. It needed to have somebody more commanding. I’ll tell you what – we had such a giggle putting that together. Even now when I think about it, could you have chosen a better voice? He’s incredible.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gladys Knight still relishes the thrill of performing live.
The 77-year-old singer insists stepping out on stage has never got boring and she still gets a huge thrill from singing for a crowd.
Asked if she still gets the same enjoyment from being on stage as she did in the early days, Gladys said: “I do. It’s been my life. I’ve been singing since I was four years old and now, here we are.”
The ‘You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me’ singer is always keen to perform her fans’ favourite songs on tour.
She said: “My fans let me know which is their favourite. I try to connect with them. Whatever you guys want, that’s what you get.”
And despite her age, Gladys has no plans to slow down and even has some exciting new ventures in the works with her husband, William McDowell.
She said: “William and I are working together on some things, including something for television.
“We work together well because he keeps me moving as far as the music is concerned.
“He loves music. If something comes up and he thinks I’d do well with it, he’ll give it to me and I’ll do it.”
Away from work, the veteran entertainer credits her husband for their idyllic life on a farm in North Carolina.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she said: “I never dreamt I’d be living on a farm.
“My husband is an outdoor guy and he really brought us a blessing. He loves the outdoors and he loves our little dog.
“We have a beautiful, beautiful place. It’s an amazing thing.
“We have everything down here – bears and everything else. The only thing we don’t have is horses. We want some horses.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink Floyd have removed their music from streaming services in Russia and Belarus.
The ‘Comfortably Numb’ rockers have announced that all of their songs released since 1987 will be wiped from “all digital music providers” in the two countries following the invasion of Ukraine.
Guitarist David Gilmour, who has family in Ukraine, has also announced all of his solo works will be taken down.
Pink Floyd said in a statement: “To stand with the world in strongly condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the works of Pink Floyd, from 1987 onwards, and all of David Gilmour’s solo recordings are being removed from all digital music providers in Russia and Belarus from today.”
David, 76, wrote in a separate social media post: “Russian soldiers, stop killing your brothers. There will be no winners in this war. My daughter-in-law is Ukrainian and my granddaughters want to visit and know their beautiful country. Stop this before it is all destroyed. Putin must go.”
Founding band member Roger Waters – who left Pink Floyd in 2005 – recently penned an open letter to 19-year-old Ukrainian woman Alina Mitrofanova and called Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s attack on the country an “act of a gangster”.
The 78-year-old musician wrote: “I am disgusted by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. It is a criminal mistake in my opinion, the act of a gangster.
“There must be an immediate ceasefire. I regret that Western governments are fuelling the fire that will destroy your beautiful country by pouring arms into Ukraine instead of engaging in the diplomacy that will be necessary to stop the slaughter.”
Major music stars have cancelled their concerts in Russia in protest.
British rocker Yungblud is among the artists who have pulled the plug on concerts there and blasted the “vicious and brutal acts” of Putin, who launched a full-scale attack on the neighbouring country last month.
The 24-year-old star wrote: “I’m heartbroken to announce I will be cancelling my Russian shows scheduled for this summer.
“Heartbroken because I know the vicious and brutal acts of the Russian regime in Ukraine over the past week do not reflect the attitudes and ideals of the beautiful people who I have met in Russia in the past.
“Everyone deserves to be the creator of their own destiny, rather than having it forced upon them by acts of war and aggression. Ukraine, I promise I’ll come back as soon as I can. My heart is with you, always.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Red Hot Chili Peppers star Flea hopes to get even “better” as a musician.
The 59-year-old bassist always wants to improve and has cited some specific goals he has in mind.
In an interview with Bass Player Magazine, he shared: “I have my thing, you know, but I want to be better.
“The specific goals I have as a bass player are that I want to become a better soloist, and I want to expand my cerebral knowledge of chord progressions and bass-lines, so I can be a good jazz bass player.”
In addition to his bass-specific goals, Flea made it clear that he cares deeply about the impact his music has on fans.
He revealed: “I want to f****** rock harder than ever. I want to stir the souls of human beings when we play. And I want to be a good bandmate – I want to connect with my bandmates, and be a great support to them and help them be the best they can be.
“I love my band and I’m really proud of the music we’ve recorded. I feel like it’s beautiful. I feel like it’s the best we can do. I feel like we’re firing on all cylinders and at the top of our game, and I just want to continue to do all those things.”
Flea is always “discovering” new things that help him to become a better musician.
He said: “I hope that I’m better [than I was 30 years ago]. I mean, I feel like I’m better.
“I’m always discovering things, you know, and trying to develop. I like to think that the best parts of myself back then, I’ve kept, and that I’ve gotten rid of the bits that I don’t need.
“I’ll try to add more essential parts and I’ll get better.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Spice Girls are set to reunite with Victoria Beckham to play Glastonbury next year.
‘Stop’ hitmakers Mel C, Mel B, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton have reportedly been having meetings about a world tour in 2023 and they hope to end the run of shows with a performance on the iconic festival’s Pyramid Stage, which they believe the 47-year-old fashion designer would join them for, despite not having performed with the group since the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony in London.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: “There have been bumps in the road, particularly where Geri is concerned, but the plan is still that the girls’ world tour will go ahead next year.
“The idea is that it will kick off in 2023, and finish at Glastonbury.
“Victoria has previously said that she would perform with them at the festival. So that would be the perfect way to round off the tour.”
However, it is believed the group have ruled out a performance at the upcoming Platinum Jubilee concert celebration for Queen Elizabeth in June this year because they all have different commitments preventing them from making an appearance.
Quizzed on the possibility, Mel C said recently: “You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one.”
But the source said: “The Spice Girls will definitely not be performing at the Queen’s Jubilee, though that is not just down to Geri, as Mel hinted initially.
“They are all working on different ­projects, and when they sat down to look at the logistics they decided there was not enough time to make it work.
“They just would have not been able to squeeze in the rehearsal time they needed for the concert.
“However, that isn’t to say that everybody was happy with that ­outcome.
“Mel B and Emma, in ­particular, seemed very ­disappointed to be saying no.
“It would have been a real ­honour, and that was not lost on them.”

The ‘Ghost’ hitmaker initially connected with Olympic swimmer Jack Burnell on a dating app – but the COVID-19 lockdown stopped them from coming face to face.
Ella, 26, told OK! magazine: “We’re really good. We were a lockdown success story.
“We met on an online dating app and I’ve never looked back.
“The funniest thing about our relationship is that for the fist eight or nine weeks, we didn’t physically meet.
“It was all done through a phone or FaceTime. We built up a great friendship and fell in love.”
This year marks a decade since Ella shot to fame on ‘The X Factor’ and she’s thankful she still has some supportive friends that she met on the TV show.
Asked who she is still in touch with from the show, Ella said: “Only Rylan Clark and James Arthur.
“No one will ever understand what we went through on that show. We have that bond for life.
“Rylan is like my naughty big brother and my agony aunt. He’s always had me under his wing. And James, he’s always there for me.”
Despite finding fame on ‘The X Factor’, Ella previously backed the move to take the show off the air.
The singer admitted that the long-running series had grown to be a bit tired.
She said: “I think sometimes things do need a break – with anything. You can’t have your foot on the gas the whole time as things tend to burn out. I think it will be refreshing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake is planning some “highly interactive” concerts.
The ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker is hoping to play some special shows in New York and Toronto that will be unlike anything he’s ever done for fans before and he’s very “excited” by the concept.
Speaking on OVO Sound’s SiriusXM station Sound 42, he said: “I’m excited to let all my people know that we’re working on something really special for you guys.
“Putting together two shows, one in New York and a few in Toronto. They’re gonna be something different, something that I’ve never done before. Gonna be a highly interactive experience.”
But fans will have to wait to find out more information on the shows – which will be Drake’s first headline appearances since 2019 – including when they will take place.
He teased: “My brothers will be there, it’s gonna be great to see y’all, hopefully get a chance to speak with you, [and] hopefully learn a little more about each other. I’ll have the dates for that coming soon, I can’t wait.”
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj recently revealed she has asked Drake – who she previously worked with on tracks including ‘Make Me Proud’, ‘Only’, ‘No Frauds’, ‘Seeing Green’, and ‘Papi’s Home’ – to executive produce her upcoming album, a follow-up to 2018’s ‘Queen’.
Asked by one follower how long it takes to come up with lyrics, the ‘Super Bass’ hitmaker responded on a Twitter Q+A with fans: “Few mins. What’s funny is- that was originally 1 of the many lines I had on Seeing Green. My SG verse was just way too long so I kept creating new edits and sending back and forth to Champagne Papi [Drake]. Cuz he was like Wayne verse already long as well, so we gotta try to shorten the song. (sic)”
Quizzed on whether she and the ‘Nonstop’ rapper have any more music on the way, she replied: “We actually discussed him EP’ing this new album. That was b4 Seeing Green even came out. (sic)”
‘Seeing Green’, which also featured Lil Wayne, was released in May 2021.
The ‘Anaconda’ rapper didn’t confirm if Drake will actually executive produce the record.
