Anne-Marie ‘shocked’ to get a part in Turning Red

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne-Marie was “shocked” to be offered a cameo voice role in ‘Turning Red’.
The 30-year-old popstar features in the Disney Pixar movie as a character named Lauren, a classmate of the film’s lead character, and has “no idea” how she managed to get the part.
She said: “Honestly, I have no idea [how I landed this role]. … I was shocked that people would want my voice — my talking voice — involved in something. But it was amazing, and when I watched the trailer I fell in love with it. I just loved everything about it: what it was trying to say, the messages i n it. I was like 100%, I wanted to be involved. I went to watch it at a private screening and fell in love with it even more, and then I went straight to the recording studio after I’d watched it to do the voice over. That was much harder than what I thought it was going to be.”
However, the ‘2002’ hitmaker went on to explain that despite her experience in the studio as musical artist, she found voiceover work “so hard” by comparison.
She told HeyUGuy’: “I thought that it was going to be easy. … This is my comfort zone, I’m in a studio, I’m with a microphone, but it was so hard. There’s just so many ways to say something. There’s so many different tones of your voice, so many different ways, and I was like, ‘is it right? I don’t know, you tell me, because I’m just going to try it every single way possible.’ The timings of everything have to be spot on. I guess with singing you have none of those boundaries. You just sing whatever you want. But it was really difficult. There were a lot of different aspects to it, and it made me appreciate the people that actually do this as their job every day.”

Beck reworking old hits

OHMYGOSSIP — Beck is re-recording some of his old hits.
The 51-year-old singer is fascinated by the idea of reworking his old songs so is creating new versions of tracks including ‘Loser’ and ‘Where It’s At’ for an unspecified new project.
He said: “I think it’s a bit arbitrary that you make a record and that’s the only version that exists.”
The ‘Sexlaws’ hitmaker admitted looking back at his past work inspires his new music.
Speaking during a keynote Q A at the South By Southwest Festival, he said: “You look back at your work and you see things you want to fix. That’s what drives the next album,” he said. “You constantly try to not evolve but crystallise.”
Beck worked with Pharrell Williams on his 2019 record ‘Hyperspace’ but he spoke of his regret at meeting his collaborator too late to be involved with his smash hit ‘Happy’.
He said: “I’d been wanting to do a record with him for like 20 years.
“I’d run into Pharrell in elevators and we’d always say we wanted to work together. So I finally called him in about 2012 or 13. And the first day I walked in to work with him, he said, ‘Sit down, I just wrote a song.’”
At the time, the ‘Devil’s Haircut singer was tired of writing “heavy and weird” music so was looking to work on something uplifting and “happy”.
He continued: “I had young kids at the time and was playing pop music, I just wanted something that had a lot of light to it. Pharrell said, ‘Perfect.’ So he sits me down and plays this song ‘Happy’ and I thought, ‘I guess you already did that.’
“I showed up about three days too late. In another life that could’ve been my song.”

Ed Sheeran is finished with mathematical album titles

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is finished with mathematical album titles.
The 31-year-old pop star has so far released smash hit albums ‘+’, ‘x’, ‘÷’ , ‘No.6 Collaborations Project ‘ and ‘=’ and when asked how “obscure” the symbols are going to get as he releases more albums, he claimed that is done with mathematically-themed titles.
Speaking on the Australian ‘Carrie Tommy’ podcast, he said: “That’s it. There’s only five. The other one will be out before I come to New Zealand [and Australia] to do the tour.”
Ed is set to perform the second leg of his +–=÷x Tour (pronounced ‘Mathematics Tour’) in New Zealand and Australia in early February 2023. The first leg of the tour, with European locations, is set to begin in April 2022 in Dublin.
‘Subtract’ is expected to be released sometime in 2022, though there has not been an official announcement with a specific release date yet.
The ‘Shivers’ hitmaker- who has nineteen-month old daughter Lyra with wife Cherry Seaborn -was then asked to name one thing he didn’t like about his job as a musician, but claimed that small issues are irrelevant “when you’re doing what you love “for work and that his job is “98%” awesome.
He added: “When you do what you love for a living, there’s always something that you’re like ‘meh’ about, but when it’s something in the midst of like 98% awesome, it just doesn’t matter.
“So I wouldn’t be able to pinpoint one thing [I don’t like] but there’s obviously always something. … But if you lost that bit, you might lose everything else, because it all works together. So I don’t really view anything [specific]. My job is to play music every day, if I find something to complain about, that’s just weird.”

Daddy Yankee announces retirement from music

OHMYGOSSIP — Daddy Yankee is retiring from music.
The ‘Gasolina’ rapper – who is often referred to as the King of Reggaeton – will hang up his microphone after three decades and eight studio albums following the release of his final tour and LP, ‘Legendaddy’, on March 24.
In a statement on YouTube, the 45-year-old Puerto Rican star – whose real name is Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez – said: “This race, which has been a marathon, finally sees the finish line. Now, I am going to enjoy what all of you have given me.
“People say that I made this genre worldwide, but it was you who gave me the key to open the doors to make it the biggest in the world.”
Yankee’s farewell record will be an amalgamation of all the styles that have “defined” his career.
He added: “I’ll give you all the styles that have defined me on one album. ‘Legendaddy’ – it’s fight, it’s party, it’s war, it’s romance.”
The music star has sold more than 30 million records and is best known for his 2004 hit ‘Gasolina’, which became the first reggaeton song to be nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
Yankee leaves on a high after scoring a global hit with ‘Despacito’ with Luis Fonsi in 2017.
A remix of the popular track featuring pop megastar Justin Bieber later topped the charts in 10 countries.
During a dazzling career, the Reggaeton icon has scored an impressive haul of accolades, including Latin Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, Latin American Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.
‘Legendaddy’ marks his first studio album since 2012’s ‘Prestige’.
His last tour will kick off in Portland, Oregon, on August 10.

Sam Fender loves rejecting former classmates’ requests

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender relishes telling his former classmates to “f*** off” when they ask him to play at their weddings.
The ‘Spit Of You’ hitmaker felt out of place at a sixth form college in a wealthy part of Whitley Bay, North East England, and while his fellow students used to make fun of him then, they are keen to ask him for favours now he’s a star, and he has no problem with turning them down.
He said: “There was a corner of the common room that they used to call peasants’ corner, and that’s where I used to sit.
“But they’re all asking us to play their weddings now. And I subsequently tell them all to f*** off. It’s wonderful.”
When he was 20 and trying to make it as a musician, Sam was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, but doesn’t want to identify it because “it’ll just become the story of everything I do”.
But the 27-year-old singer admitted his health issues pushed him into making his debut album ‘Hypersonic Missiles’.
He recalled to Sunday Times Culture magazine: “I was, like, ‘Well, that’s great —my music’s failed and I’m probably going to die.’
“[I thought] If I’m going to potentially die young, then I’m going to release an album that actually means something before that.”
Fortunately, Sam made an unexpected recovery.
He added: “And now I’ve released two albums that I like. Well, one that’s alreet, and one that’s f****** good.”
The ‘Seventeen Going Under’ hitmaker is now in “near remission” and although he undergoes regular tests and takes medication, he is able to lead a “completely normal” life.
But he conceded: “I should probably look after myself a bit more. But I’m in my twenties and I just want to live like I’m in my twenties.”
While Sam is preparing to start work on his third album, he insisted it won’t feature any tales of stardom.
He said: “I didn’t get famous until I was 25, so a lot of the songs I write are about my life up to then.
“I don’t really write about my life now. No one wants to hear about me globetrotting.”

Britney Spears’ team ‘putting feelers out’ for new music

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears is planning to work on her first new music in six years.
Now that she is free from the constraints of her conservatorship, the 40-year-old pop icon’s team are said to be getting in touch with some of the songwriters the ‘Lucky’ hitmaker “feels comfortable” working with – including the man behind her hits ‘Womanizer’, ‘Circus’ and ‘If U Seek Amy’, Claude Kelly – to work on new songs.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It is very early days and Britney isn’t putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything, but her team are putting feelers out about the prospect of new music.
“Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved.
“She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf.”
Last month, Britney took to Instagram to share a throwback clip of herself dancing in high heels to her 2007 song ‘Get Naked (I Got a Plan)’, which she called a “tease of what’s to come”.
Alongside the clip, she wrote: “This is 13 seconds of me in heels before I dyed my hair purple. This is a tease of what’s to come !!!! My song “Get Naked” !!! Hope you guys are having a great day !!!!! Pss No hair and make up !!! Just PLAYING around folks !!!!”(sic)
The ‘Gimme More’ singer has released nine studio albums over the course of her career but has not dropped a record since 2016’s ‘Glory.’
Back in December, an insider told of how Britney is looking forward to shaping her own career in 2022.
The source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Britney is her own decisionmaker now and she wants to expand her professional horizons. She’s just waiting for the right time for everything.”

Doja Cat halts Lollapalooza gig to see to fan in distress

OHMYGOSSIP — Doja Cat paused her concert at Lollapalooza Argentina to see to a fan in distress.
The ‘Woman’ hitmaker was performing her track ‘Options’ at the festival at the Hippodromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires on Saturday (19.03.22) when she spotted a fan who required help and refused to continue with the performance until she received a signal that the gig-goer was OK.
She shouted in a clip from the event seen by Billboard: “Yo. Cut it!
“Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait. Somebody needs help over there. Is that right? Am I right? Somebody needs help?”
She continued: “I love you guys, I really do. We can’t have that happening.
“You guys over there in that circle that just signaled to me, when everything’s OK, you just go like this.
“Just do that, OK? Just wave. If it’s not OK, then don’t do anything. But once it’s OK, just do something with your hands like this.”
The 26-year-old rapper insisted the safety of the crowd was her priority as she told them not to get “sad or upset” by the delay.
She told the crowd: “I’m sorry, I can’t keep going if things aren’t good.”
Doja added: “Listen, you guys.”
“It’s nobody’s fault. This stuff happens. There’s a lot of people, and people get crushed. It’s a lot. If you could see the point of view that I’m seeing it from, it’s a lot of people … Don’t get, you know, sad or upset. I’ll be back. I will. I will, I promise.”
When she got the all-clear, Doja proceeded to perform ‘Say So’.
Several music stars have been halting their performances to check on fans since a crowd surge at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival left hundreds injured and 10 people dead in November.
Billie Eilish recently stopped her concert when she spotted a fan having trouble breathing, while John Mayer paused his performance to check if an audience member was “conscious” last month.

Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello set for Concert for Ukraine

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello and Snow Patrol are among the artists confirmed for ITV’s Concert for Ukraine.
The televised two-hour fundraising event is set to air on March 29 and will see a host of major music stars come together to perform in a bid to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) humanitarian appeal for Ukrainians amid Russia’s invasion.
As well as the ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker, the ‘Bam Bam’ singer and the ‘Chasing Cars’ group, singer-songwriter Emeli Sande and jazz-fusion star Gregory Porter are also confirmed to take to the stage at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena.
Camila said: “My heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine. As refugees from Ukraine join millions of other displaced people around the globe, we all have a responsibility. One of the biggest needs is to get funds to organisations who can serve these communities directly, so we’re focusing our efforts on doing that as quickly as we can.”
Emeli said: “I will be singing to try to help every human being forced to flee their home and in solidarity with those being racially discriminated against even within this humanitarian crisis. Nobody should be refused access to relief, aid and the right to cross the border to safety, and I’m pleased for the chance to support the DEC’s appeal to help all people whose lives have been affected by the conflict.”
The DEC has teamed up with ITV, STV, Livewire pictures and Global to broadcast the concert.
A press release states: “All sponsorship and advertising revenue generated from the broadcast of the event (primetime across both linear and simulcast), which is expected to raise over £3 million, will also be donated by ITV to the DEC appeal.”
There will be “emotive music performances with short films recognising the ongoing relief efforts and the plight faced by people affected by the conflict in Ukraine.”
Viewers will be encouraged to make donations throughout the evening.
Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, said “Music is a very powerful tool when it comes to showing support and solidarity, and at ITV we are proud and privileged to be working with Livewire Pictures, Global, Marks and Spencer and the DEC on such an important and necessary fundraising event.”
Saleh Saeed, chief executive of the DEC, said: “It is heart-breaking to see the deepening crisis unfolding in Ukraine as more refugees cross the borders each day with nothing more than what they can carry. The situation for those inside the country is becoming increasingly precarious.
“But there is something we can all do to bring hope. Funds raised by this concert will make a real difference to those affected by the conflict, sending a strong message of love and enabling DEC charities to help now with urgent aid as well as helping to rebuild lives in the months and years ahead.”
“We are grateful to ITV, Livewire Pictures, Global and Marks and Spencer for their support to this appeal, our special thanks to ITV who have supported DEC with emergency appeals over many decades and just recently for Afghanistan.”
More artists will be added to the bill in the coming days.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday (22.03.22) via www.theticketfactory.com.

Dave Grohl to release Dream Widow metal album this week

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl is releasing a metal record as the fictional band Dream Widow.
The Foo Fighters recently released the horror flick ‘Studio 666’, in which it’s revealed that a band by the name Dream Widow recorded a “lost” album at the same haunted Encino mansion where Dave’s band recorded a fictional 10th studio album, only for both frontmen to become possessed and start lashing out at their bandmates.
Now, the former Nirvana drummer is releasing the “lost” LP digitally on Friday (25.03.22), Variety reports.
The single ‘March of the Insane’, from the movie’s soundtrack, arrived on streaming services in February, while over on YouTube, the “never released self-titled album” was teased.
At the time of writing, there is no track-listing for the record.
In an interview for the film, Dave had said: “It will be the lost album.
“It’ll be the album they were making before he f****** killed the entire band.”
The 53-year-old rocker hoped to release the collection to coincide with the flick’s release on February 25, but it will arrive a month later.
He added: “I mean, I work fast, but f***, this deadline is going to kill me. Yes, I’ll get it out for the movie. By February 25th, there will be a Dream Widow record.”
The ‘Learn to Fly’ hitmaker explained that he grew up “a f****** Eighties thrash-metal kid” and teased that the songs are influenced by the likes of doom metallers Corrosion of Conformity and desert rockers Kyuss.
The album is also expected to include the 13-minute long ‘Lacrimus dei Ebrius’.
He said: “I have my favourites. You’ll hear a lot of those influences in ‘Lacrimus dei Ebrius’ because for that song, I put maybe four or five of these sections together in this big, long thing. Some of it sounds like Trouble; some of it sounds like Corrosion of Conformity; some of it has a Kyuss vibe.”
Physical copies are expected to arrive later this year.

Machine Gun Kelly announces mammoth global arena tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly is set to embark on the 52-date ‘Mainstream Sellout Tour’
The rapper-turned pop punk star releases his new LP ‘Mainstream Sellout’ on Friday (25.03.22) and has now announced a mammoth global arena jaunt in support of the record.
The North American leg begins in Austin, Texas on June 8, with support from Blackbear and iann dior.
Other friends joining him on select dates include Avril Lavigne, WILLOW, Travis Barker, and PVRIS.
The first stint will wrap with a homecoming show in Cleveland, Ohio on August 13.
Then, after a few weeks’ break, he’ll head to Europe to play Cologne, Germany on September 17.
Following concerts in Prague, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Zurich and Paris, MGK – whose real name is Colson Baker – will play London’s recently renamed OVO Arena Wembley, before heading across the channel to play the last date in Amsterdam on October 12.
The tour announcement comes after the ‘my ex’s best friend’ rapper took six months to tell Travis Barker he’d changed the title of his album.
MGK and his friend had worked together in the studio and decided to have ‘Born With Horns’ tattooed on their forearms in honour of his upcoming sixth album, but when he decided to rename the record ‘Mainstream Sellout’, he was nervous about breaking the news to the Blink-182 drummer.
He said: “We were so hyped, we’d just done a song, let’s just get the name tattooed on us. A couple of months later I was like, ‘Oh that’s definitely not the name of the album anymore.’
“I couldn’t bring myself to tell Travis because of the tattoos… I bet he wondered too because every day I’d be like at the edge of my seat all stiff and nothing came out because I was waiting for the right vibe [to tell him]’.
One day he was just laughing and I thought, ‘Oh this is a great moment’, we were having a great time. I was like, ‘Hey man, you should sit next to me’ and I pressed record on my phone.”
MGK shared Travis’ reaction on Instagram, with the pair laughing at the decision, and now the ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’ actor is keen to book another tattoo session with his pal – but will wait until after his album is released.
He laughed on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show: “I’ll maybe wait for like release day just for his own [sake] but I’m sure we’ll get it tattooed just to bring it full circle. We’ll just go over something.”
Tickets go on sale starting Friday, March 25th at 10am local time at Ticketmaster.com.

for KING AND COUNTRY grateful for parents’ sacrifices

OHMYGOSSIP — for KING COUNTRY have paid tribute to the”sacrifices” their mother made for them.
Brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone – who have five other siblings – penned their track ‘Unsung Hero’ in honour of their parents and everything they have done for them, and ahead of Mother’s Day in the UK on 27 March, they have praised their mum Helen for being a great example of a “strong woman”.
Joel said: “Luke and I have both been very fortunate to grow up in a home full of love from our parents from the top down–from our parents to the seven of us children.
“Our mum has really been an encourager and example for us of a strong woman to us.
“We believe it’s so important to recognise parental figures in our lives that really sacrifice so much, which is one of the many reasons we wrote ‘Unsung Hero’ to really say that to our parents, and on Mother’s Day, our mum, Helen.”
The group have just released a new album, ‘What Are We Waiting For?’ – which features ‘Unsung Hero’ – and the record allowed them to reflect on the impact of the last two years of the coronavirus pandemic and how the brothers hope to move towards a “bright future”.
Luke said: “The last two years have been very unique for all of us. It’s been a strange time. Going through struggle, you end up asking yourself some interesting questions like ‘What am I doing with my life?,’ ‘What do I want to be known for?,’ ‘What am I living for?’ I think the phrase, What Are We Waiting For?, encompasses the meaning behind this album.”
Joel added: “The last few years have taken us from wondering what was happening, to worrying. This album was a way to look at and write about — from a family perspective, from a spiritual perspective, and from a global perspective – this global suffering that we’ve all walked through.
Our hope is that this title means something slightly different to each of us. This album is an opportunity for us, together, to get moving together again into what we believe is a very bright future.”
‘What Are We Waiting For?’ is out now and for KING COUNTRY will air a free online performance experience,’What Are We Waiting For? The Worldwide Special’ on Facebook and YouTube on 21 March.

Dove Cameron wants ‘gayest crossover ever’ with Lil Nas X

OHMYGOSSIP — Dove Cameron wants the “gayest crossover of all time” with Lil Nas X.
The ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker – who has previously said she identifies most with the term “queer” to describe her sexuality – was blown away to find out the ‘Old Town Road’ rapper is a big fan, and she hopes they can collaborate on a song in the future.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I had this song called ‘We Belong’ two years ago and he messaged me out of nowhere and said, ‘I love your new song’, and I was like, ‘What? How do you even know who I am?’
“He’s lovely and very supportive. He’s one of the coolest people in the world so I’m very flattered.
“I would love to work with Lil Nas X. That would be one of the collaborations of my dreams. It would be the gayest crossover of all time.”
The former ‘Liv and Maddie’ Disney star ended up releasing ‘Boyfiend’ after a snippet of the song went viral on TikTok, and she admitted she didn’t expect to be putting such a personal song out there already.
She explained: “This is definitely not a song I imagined I would be sharing with people. I didn’t know if I was ever going to put it out.
“So to see the reception both in the US and globally, it’s very strange and an amazing, unexpected feeling.”
Meanwhile, Dove was prompted to come out publicly when she released the lyric video for ‘We Belong’, as she was accused of “queerbaiting” for including drawings of two women kissing.
And the ‘Powerpuff’ actress then chose to take to Instagram to let her fans know the real reason she included the animated scenes.
She previously said: “I went on Instagram Live and said ‘Guys, I really needed to explain something to you. Maybe I haven’t said it, but I’m super queer. This is something I want to represent through my music because it’s who I am.’ ”

Julia Fox is wanted for Charli XCX’s music video

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX wants Julia Fox to play the lead in her music video.
The ‘Baby’ singer was asked by a Twitter follower if she would collaborate with the ‘Uncut Gems’ star – who has been in the spotlight thanks to her whirlwind six-week fling with Kanye West – and ‘Just for Me’ hitmaker PinkPantheress.
And it just so happens that the ‘Beg For You’ hitmaker has been discussing having the 32-year-old actress – who was recently poked fun at for her pronunciation of ‘Uncut Gems’ in a viral interview – in one of her promos.
Responding to the tweet, Charli wrote: “i actually texted someone about the idea of Julia fox starring as the lead in my next music video. i am obsessed w her. she is legend. (sic)”
The 29-year-old star is set to release her new album, ‘CRASH’, on Friday (18.03.22) and has been challenging herself when it comes to making music videos.
The ‘Boom Clap’ hitmaker recently described her upcoming record as “hyper-sexualised” and explained how she wanted to “challenge” herself with the choreography in the promo for the track ‘Baby’.
She said: “It’s probably the most sexy song I’ve ever made. It’s about sex and sexuality and having good sex and just feeling yourself essentially. I know that that’s the tone. I knew that that was the tone I wanted to carry across for the entire record. This kind of hyper-sexualised, feminine power zone was where I was feeling myself going, and ‘Baby’ was the genesis of this.
“Also I think that’s probably why I wanted to challenge myself on the choreo for this song, which was really, really tough and I have so much respect for dancers, professional dancers, anyone who communicates emotion through dance. It is so hard and challenging, but so rewarding.”
Charli also recently addressed critics of her latest singles and admitted she considered quitting music as her mental health has declined in recent months, prompting her to take a step back from social media because she was struggling to handle the criticism.
She said: “I’ve been feeling quite low throughout 2022 to be honest. I feel like my mental health has really taken a toll, and for some reason I just couldn’t really handle the negative comments that I was reading, particularly about music and my latest song ‘Beg For You’, which was actually beginning to do quite well commercially.
“I suppose I felt a little bit hurt when I heard that people didn’t really like the song. I think at a time when I was already feeling quite low, that kind of rhetoric honestly just really hurt my feelings.”

I Like It: Cardi B is an unlikely My Chemical Romance fan

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has declared her love for My Chemical Romance.
The ‘I Like It’ rapper is an unlikely fan of the emo rockers and said “they don’t make music like this anymore” in reference to Gerard Way and co’s 2004 hit ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ from ‘Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’.
Alongside a link to the music video for the track, Cardi tweeted: “They don’t make music like this anymore.”
And MCR replied: “Grazie mille Cardi!”, “Thank you very much” in Italian.
Many fans have now called for the ‘WAP’ hitmaker and ‘Helena’ group to collaborate, however, it’s unlikely Cardi will approach the band, as she recently admitted she is “too shy” to ask male artists to collaborate with her.
The Grammy winner – who has appeared on songs with the likes of Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 – doesn’t have the nerve to ask some of her favourite male music stars to jump on a track with her because she get’s “star-struck” easily and fears she will sound “corny”.
She confessed: “The thing is, I’m shy — and really shy to reach out to male artists, to be honest with you. That’s why a lot of collabs that I want, I haven’t gotten yet because I’m scared to reach out. I always get a little star-struck. I be thinking I’m corny, even though I’m funny.”
Cardi previously gave an insight into her eclectic music taste when she revealed she is a fan of synth-pop legends Pet Shop Boys.
She tweeted last year: “Pet shop boys are a really underrated group.I love them !! My mom always used to listen to them. (sic)”
In a previous post in 2018, however, Cardi admitted she didn’t understand the ‘It’s A Sin’ hitmakers’ lyrics.
She asked her millions of followers: “Question..so i love pet shop boys music .My favorite song from them is RENT but i really don’t understand what are they trying to say ?what does the song mean? (sic)”

Keith Richards: The Rolling Stones 1990 hiatus was necessary

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Richards has admitted The Rolling Stones’ hiatus in 1990 was “necessary” to keep the band together.
Following their ‘Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour’, the ‘Paint it Black’ rockers took a brief break to work on solo projects, with Keith releasing his second solo album with The X-Pensive Winos, ‘Main Offender’, in 1992.
As the LP turns 30, the 78-year-old musician has reflected on the “weird period” and admitted the legendary band’s time off was much-needed.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Keith spilled: “It was a weird period.
“Looking back on it now, it was a necessary hiatus. Once we started back again, I felt stronger than I had for a long time.”
Keith explained how getting to experience being the frontman himself at his gigs with the Winos enlightened him to the pressure Sir Mick Jagger is under as bandleader.
He continued: “Doing the Winos I had learned a lot more about being the frontman.
“In other words, I came back to the Stones with a lot more knowledge of what Mick’s job entails. And it’s quite surprisingly different, you’re out there all the time.”
Keith “tightened up” during his jaunt with the Winos and came back stronger when the ‘Satisfaction’ hitmakers reunited.
He added: “I mean, you are nonstop. With the Stones, I can slide my time. But doing the Winos, while I was working the Winos singing and playing guitar too, that tightened me up a lot.
“And I brought a lot of knowledge and a much tighter feel when I got back to the Stones.”
Keith had gone through a period of unrest in 1986, when relations between himself and Mick, also 78, reached an all time low during the making of their album ‘Dirty Work’, which the former described as “forget about it times”.
Keith felt the need to find a new challenge and so he started working with drummer Steve Jordan – who is now the band’s touring drummer following the death of Charlie Watts last summer – who contributed to ‘Dirty Work’, and previously admitted he was “dragged kicking and screaming” into the studio to start work on his debut studio album, ‘Talk Is Cheap’, which was released two years later in 1988.
Mick had also released his solo LP ‘Primitive Cool’ the year before, which is said to have spurred Keith on even more.
The pair put their differences aside when the ‘Gimme Shelter’ hitmakers were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1989.

Don McLean slams Adele for abruptly postponing Las Vegas residency

OHMYGOSSIP — Don McLean has slammed Adele for postponing her Las Vegas residency at the last minute.
The ‘American Pie’ hitmaker has accused the ‘I Drink Wine’ singer of having no consideration for her fans, who forked out on tickets and booked flights and hotels to attend one of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ concerts in Sin City, only to be told the shows were delayed the day before the run was due to kick off at Caesar’s Palace’s Colosseum in January.
Speaking on the ‘Greatest Music of All Time’ podcast, the 76-year-old singer said: “They are all very rich and very spoiled and they don’t really care about the audience. They think the audience should kiss their ass and that is the opposite to how I feel.”
Don added: “I feel honoured to play for people. I know they are spending money and taking time out of their lives. But I come from a different time.
“Guys like The Beach Boys worked really hard and so does Paul McCartney.”
Adele recently promised fans the delayed shows will take place before the end of 2022, and admitted it needs to happen this year because she has “plans” for next year.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker – who is rumoured to be engaged to Rich Paul – suggested during an appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ last month: “Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”
She continued: “We are now working our a**** off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready.
“The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time. It is absolutely 100% happening this year.
“It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year.”
The ‘Chasing Pavements’ singer – who has nine-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki – is keen to add to her brood but admitted motherhood has been exhausting.
She said: “It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”
Adele broke down in tears when she announced the postponement of the residency due to production issues in an emotional video to fans.
