OHMYGOSSIP — Remy Ma doesn’t consider Doja Cat to be a rapper.
The 41-year-old rap star thinks the ‘Juicy’ hitmaker is “dope” – but she doesn’t agree with her being nominated in the rap categories at the upcoming Grammys.
Reflecting on Doja’s genre-blending style, she told ‘Drink Champs’: “I don’t think she’s a rapper. Let’s be clear with that. They put her in the rapper category, I don’t think she’s a rapper. But she makes dope records, and I think she’s dope.”
Doja, 26 – whose real name is Amala Dlamini – previously rubbished the idea that she’s not a rapper.
The chart-topping star took to Twitter last year to hit back at the suggestion, and insisted she deserves more respect for her lyricism.
She wrote on the micro-blogging platform at the time: “DONT EVER F***** DISRESPECT ME AS A RAPPER. AFTER THE LAST SONG I DROPPED YOU WILL RESPECT MY PEN AND THATS F****** THAT. stream Very Best. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Doja recently apologised for threatening to quit the music business.
The ‘Say So’ hitmaker threatened to walk away from the industry, after fans in Paraguay expressed their disappointment that she didn’t meet them outside her hotel after she cancelled a gig.
She wrote on Twitter at the time: “It’s gone and I don’t give a f*** anymore.
“I f***** quit, I can’t wait to f***** disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f***** fool for ever thinking I was made for this is a f***** nightmare. Unfollow me. (sic)”
However, Doja subsequently backtracked on her earlier comments.
She said: “I can travel, I can eat good food, I can see new people, I can smile, I can make memories that I dreamed of having, I can laugh, I can support my family and my friends, I can learn about the world, and I can give back to everyone because of you. I do owe people s***. I owe a lot. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS star Jungkook has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 24-year-old singer was diagnosed with COVID shortly after the boyband touched down in the US ahead of the Grammys.
The Big Hit Music agency said in a statement: “Jungkook has been currently under self-quarantine and treatment, following the guidelines of health authorities in the United States.
“He is not exhibiting any symptoms other than a mild sore throat, and we will attentively monitor his health during the quarantine.”
BTS are scheduled to perform at the Grammys on April 3.
However, the group’s plans will now be determined by “the local COVID-19 regulations”.
The agency added: “We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to our fans for causing you concern despite our effort to take all necessary measures for our artists’ health prior to and throughout the schedule in the United States.”
BTS are also scheduled to perform in Las Vegas on April 8, 9, 15 and 16, but it’s not yet known when Jungkook will be able to return to the stage.
Meanwhile, fellow BTS star Jin recently underwent surgery after injuring his finger.
The 29-year-old singer – who also tested positive for COVID-19 in December – was told by doctors that he would need an operation to repair damaged tendons.
A statement from Big Hit Music read: “We would like to provide you with some information regarding BTS member Jin’s finger injury.
“Jin injured his left index finger during his daily activities and visited the emergency room at a hospital nearby for examination and treatment on Friday, March 18. He consulted doctors and was told he required surgery as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello is set to perform alongside Ed Sheeran at the Concert for Ukraine.
The star-studded event in Birmingham has been organised to help raise money for the humanitarian appeal in Ukraine, and Camila has confirmed she will be dueting with Ed on their new song ‘Bam Bam’.
Asked if they will be singing together, Camila told ‘Heart Breakfast’s Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden: “Hell yeah!”
The fundraiser has been put together to support the victims of the ongoing war, and Camila can’t wait to be a part of the event on Tuesday (29.03.22).
She explained: “It’s so beautiful for people to come together to have empathy and compassion for something that’s going on for other people in the world so, it’s such a beautiful thing to be a part of.”
The fundraiser has been organised by ITV, Livewire Pictures and the Disasters Emergency Committee.
And a host of big-name stars are set to take to the stage, including the likes of Emeli Sande, Gregory Porter, Snow Patrol, Paloma Faith and Anne-Marie.
ITV previously said in a statement: “The event will bring together huge names in music to spread a message of hope while the conflict in Europe continues.”
The war in Ukraine had led to a refugee crisis in Eastern Europe, and Camila is determined to show her support for “displaced people around the globe”.
The 25-year-old pop star – who first rose to fame as part of Fifth Harmony – shared: “My heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine. As refugees from Ukraine join millions of other displaced people around the globe, we all have a responsibility.”
Emeli Sande is also keen to show her support for refugees around the world.
She said: “I will be singing to try to help every human being forced to flee their home.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez performed a medley of her greatest hits with drag queens recreating her most iconic looks at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The 52-year-old star – who was honoured with the Icon Award during Tuesday night’s (22.03.22) ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles – stepped on stage to deliver a stunning show.
Billy Porter introduced the memorable performance and said: “The word for tonight is icon, legendary, mesmerizing, show stopping.”
That proved to be the case with a catwalk of drag stars treating the audience to a fashion show of J-Lo’s most beloved looks.
They covered everything from her green Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards and her Super Bowl LV halftime outfit to her ensemble from the ‘Jenny From The Block’ music video.
She then delivered an exciting medley featuring hits like ‘On My Way’ and ‘Get Right’.
Trailblazer Award recipient Megan Thee Stallion also performed at the event as she treated fans to renditions of ‘Megan’s Piano’ and her new Dup Lipa collaboration ‘Sweetest Pie’.
Meanwhile, John Legend and Charlie Puth joined forces for a special moment as they played each other’s tracks on dueling pianos.
Legend played Puth’s Wiz Khalifa collaboration ‘See You Again’, and Puth returned the favour on Legend’s hit ‘Ordinary People’.
They also performed the likes of ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’, ‘Tonight (Best You Ever Had)’, ‘Attention’, ‘All Of Me’, ‘Dope’ and ‘Light Switch’.
The ceremony’s host LL Cool J treated fans to a medley of his hits featuring ‘Mama Said Knock You Out’, ‘Rampage’, ‘The Boomin System’, ‘Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)’ and ‘Rock The Bells’, while Italian rockers Maneskin’s set included the likes of ‘Beggin’ and ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa’s ‘Levitating’ was crowned Song of the Year at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The annual ceremony took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (22.03.22) and while the 26-year-old pop superstar took home the biggest honour of the night, Olivia Rodrigo, Foo Fighters and Silk Sonic were among the most awarded artists.
Olivia was crowned Best New Pop Artist and Female Artist of the Year, while ‘good 4 u’ was voted as the TikTok Bop of the Year.
Camila Cabello also won Best Cover Song for her rendition of ‘good 4 u’.
Foo Fighters took home a stack of prizes, including Rock Artist of the Year, Rock Song of the Year for ‘Waiting on a War’, and Rock Album of the Year for ‘Medicine at Midnight’.
Accepting their Rock Artist of the Year prize, frontman Dave Grohl said via video: “Thank you so much for voting us Best Rock Artist of the Year, iHeartRadio thank you very much. We’d like to thank all our friends and family that we work with. Most of all, the fans and audience that like our music.”
Silk Sonic – Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak – were named Best Duo of the Year and also took home R B Song of the Year for ‘Leave The Door Open’ and R B Album of the Year for ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’.
Lil Nas X was crowned Male Artist of the Year, and gave an inspiring speech about it being “OK to be delusional when you’re chasing your dreams”.
The 22-year-old megastar – who publicly came out as gay in June 2019 – said: “I wouldn’t be where I am right now, in my life and my career, if I weren’t delusional. Believing I could drop out of school and become an international success within a year. It’s delusional!
“Believing that I could come out of the closet in the height of my career … to think that I could do that would be delusional!”
Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI scooped two prizes for ‘Stay’, which was named Best Collaboration and also nabbed the iHeartRadio Chart Ruler Award.
Elsewhere, Machine Gun Kelly won Alternative Artist of the Year, 2021 ‘Eurovision’ winners Maneskin made Best New Alternative Artist, and Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ scooped Alternative Album of the Year.
Jennifer Lopez was this year’s iHeartRadio Icon Award recipient and Megan Thee Stallion was honoured with the Trailblazer Award.
The star-studded bash was hosted by LL Cool J and saw performances from the likes of Megan, John Legend, Charlie Puth and Maneskin.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Martin hopes BTS are crowned winners at the Grammys.
The K-Pop boy band – comprising RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, V and Suga – are up against Chris’ band Coldplay with their hit ‘Butter’ and the rock band’s track ‘Higher Power’ nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
However, the 45-year-old frontman would like to see BTS – who Coldplay collaborated with on the mega-hit ‘My Universe’ – take home the trophy at the ceremony on April 3 in Las Vegas.
Speaking on Dominican Republic radio station Exa 96.9 FM, Chris said: “Of course [I’m rooting for BTS], man.
“I love them. I love those guys and I just wish them good things, always.”
‘My Universe’ – which featured on Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ album – didn’t make the deadline to be nominated this year.
Chris explained: “I think how the Grammys works is that each year, the nominations finish at a certain date.
“So [‘My Universe’] is not eligible this year. The song we did with BTS, or our album, that’s next year maybe, who knows?”
The ‘IDOL’ hitmakers became the first K-pop act to receive a major Grammy nomination last year, but mega-hit ‘Dynamite’ lost out in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s collaboration ‘Rain on Me’.
However, not winning became a “driving force” for them to take home one of the prestigious golden gilded gramophone trophies in the future.
V said: “Not winning somehow refreshed me. I think it will be a driving force for becoming better.”
Suga added: “We didn’t get an award this year. But we want to be active as singers for a long time, it’s difficult of course, but perhaps next year, or the year after or before the end of our career, we want to get a Grammy.”
Jimin had said he wasn’t disappointed that they lost right after the awards show.
He shared a selfie on Twitter and wrote: “Everyone has a hard time staying with us until this time! Thank you for supporting me Thanks to this, I have experienced such a ridiculous experience. Thank you very much and I am happy, ARMY! Love it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ‘By The Way’ hitmakers – comprising Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, Flea and John Frusciante – will be bestowed with the 2,717th star on Hollywood Boulevard on March 31.
All four band members are expected to be in attendance with producer George Clinton set to unveil the star.
Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said: “Our hometown Hollywood boys are finally coming to collect their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“We have been waiting for them to break away from their busy schedules to dedicate their star, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our Walk of Fame family.”
The ‘Californication’ hitmakers rose up through the Hollywood music scene in the mid-1980s where they focused on the art-punk underground.
RHCP return with their new album, ‘Unlimited Love’, on April 1.
The follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Getaway’ will be their first LP to feature guitarist John since 2006’s ‘Stadium Arcadium’.
The musician returned in 2019 after a decade away from the rock band.
The group put in the hours to “hone” their craft and make “the best album” they could for fans.
In a statement about their comeback album, they said: “We (John, Anthony, Chad and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could.
“Our antennae attuned to the divine cosmos, we were just so damn grateful for the opportunity to be in a room together, and, once again, try to get better. Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies had us enrapt.
“We yearn to shine a light in the world, to uplift, connect, and bring people together. Each of the songs on our new album ‘Unlimited Love’, is a facet of us, reflecting our view of the universe. This is our life’s mission. We work, focus, and prepare, so that when the biggest wave comes, we are ready to ride it. OHMYGOSSIP — Jared Leto has teased 30 Seconds to Mars will release new music “really momentarily”.
The alternative rock duo – completed by Jared’s drumming brother Shannon Leto – haven’t released an album since 2018’s ‘America’, and their next project will be their first since the departure of guitarist Tomo Milicevic.
Jared, 50, has been busy with his acting career – with his most recent credits including ‘House of Gucci’, ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ and ‘The Little Things’ – however when the world shut down due to COVID-19, he and his older sibling, 52, were both in one place for a prolonged period for the first time in years, and he was inspired to write “about 200 songs”.
The ‘WeCrashed’ star told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1: “As challenging as that time was for so many people around the world and devastating for so many, there was also a flip side to it.
“And for both my brother and I, I think it was like the universe doing for us what we can’t do for ourselves sort of thing, where really, it was the first time we were in one place for that long since we were little kids.
“And even as little kids, we moved around as, you know. We had the kind of vagabond hippie life. And it was a blessing.
“And I sat and I started writing. It took me a month or two to get into the swing of things. But I wrote about 200 songs.
“And we have maybe two albums, maybe three, worth of material. And we’re going to start putting it out momentarily. I mean, really momentarily. So really excited.”
Before the release of ‘America’ – which featured the likes of Halsey and A$AP Rocky – the ‘Walk on Water’ hitmaker admitted it would likely be a long time before they put out another record.
He said at the time: “We’re really slow at putting albums out.
“I don’t mean we’re never putting music out again but this may be the last album at least for a while, until I feel I need a collection of songs to say something.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss wants to compete with Ed Sheeran.
The 53-year-old pop star – who shot to fame in the 1980s alongside his brother Luke Goss and friend Craig Logan in Bros – is set to release his new solo album ‘The Beautiful Unknown’ on Friday (25.03.22), and he has colossal ambitions for the new chapter in his career.
In an interview with the Official Charts Company, he said: “I talk to people like yourself and then travel the world – to see Tokyo, Germany, France, Italy, Spain…and the conduit [for these shows] absolutely has to be new music. I want to compete with Ed Sheeran, I want to compete with The Weeknd, I want to compete with Robbie Williams … everyone. I made this record knowing 100 per cent that we can do that.”
Matt worked with songwriters to the stars on his follow-up to 2013’s ‘Life You Imagine’ and was inspired by artists like ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker The Weeknd to create the contemporary sound.
He said: “The fact is that everyone on this record has won multiple Grammys – they’ve won BRITs. People like that don’t get involved in your music unless they really feel strongly about it. I feel excited and I hope the industry sees what I’m doing. I want to be one of the main players. No one can say this isn’t a contemporary record.”
Bros were most famous for their hit single ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ and Matt believes it’s “more relevant” now than when they released it in 1987.
He said: “I’m one of the people that helped create those sounds. I think ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ is more relevant now than when we released it. We have entered into a fame-based culture; you can be famous for many reasons now. You can be an influencer, but can you get 45,000 people to turn up at The O2? I find it so interesting. Maybe I’m old school, but I like a bit of blood sweat and tears.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles has announced a new album.
The 28-year-old pop star – who has so far released two smash solo hit albums since his days as a member of One Direction – will release ‘Harry’s House’ on May 20th 2022.
Alongside a photo of the album cover, Harry wrote on Twitter: “Harry’s House. May 20th.”
The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ hitmaker also released a trailer for the album intercut with shots of screaming fans from his mammoth live shows and is seen standing on a bare stage in a theatre while a scenery cut out of a bright yellow house is erected around him.
It comes just days after the Grammy Award winner – who scored a number one hit with his self-titled debut album in 2017 and a #2 with his sophomore LP ‘Fine Line’ in 2019 – began teasing fans that something new was on the way with a new Instagram account which featured only pictures of arched doors and launched a mysterious website at YouAreHome.co, that would open to a different image when a computer mouse was rolled over it.
A Twitter account called @youarehome – which has so far garnered 325k followers – was also launched around the same time and featured cryptic tweets such as “in this world, it’s just us, you know it’s not the same as it was” (sic), “what happens in between colours?” and “what are you doing here?”
The release of the 13-track album will also come just one month before the ‘Adore You’ singer resumes his ‘Love On’ Tour, which is set to open Glasgow in June before going on to Wembley Stadium and visit other continents after suffering a number of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘Harry’s House’ is set to be released on May 20th 2022.

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly has always felt like he was “outcasted from birth”.
The 31-year-old rapper admits he doesn’t match the stereotype of a “rich rock star” and he’s always considered himself to be a bit of an outsider.
He explained: “I felt from the beginning, even in my household, like the kid who was just outcasted from birth. I was always too tall for the kids at my school, or I didn’t have enough money to buy the outfits the other kids had – it was just always something.
“But the world isn’t looking at me like that. They’re like, ‘F*** you, dude, you’re a rich rock star. How hard could it be?'”
The ‘Wild Boy’ hitmaker – who is engaged to actress Megan Fox – believes that some people within the music industry resent him for the success he’s achieved.
However, the rap star insists he’s worked his way to the top of the industry, and he deserves the fame and success that he’s currently enjoying.
He told Billboard: “I know it kills certain bands in that community that I got the success that I got. But I earned that s***.
“Dude, I was f****** loading up the van with our drums and amps in 2010, driving to Indiana and Chicago, playing Warped Tour. I can tell you the f****** Wi-Fi codes to venues in Blackfoot, Idaho. Can you say that s*** as a band?”
Despite this, the rapper admits he was “scared” to be himself during his early days in the music business.
Looking back at some of his early interviews, he admitted: “I’m overcompensating so much for how I actually was inside. I was scared to be myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blossoms’ new single sounds like “Dire Straits, George Michael and Paul Simon Art Garfunkel”, according to their frontman Tom Ogden.
The 28-year-old singer took to the group’s official Instagram page to tease fans about their new song, ‘The Sulking Poet’, which is out on Thursday (24.03.22).
Tom said: “It sounds a bit like “Dire Straits meets George Michael meets Paul Simon Art Garfunkel.
“The title actually comes from a Blossoms fan page that referred to me as “the sulking poet”, which I thought was funny, so I put it in a tune.”
Looking up at the sun, Tom added: “It sounds good in this weather as well.”
The group – who are also made up of bassist Charlie Salt, guitarist Josh Dewhurst, drummer Joe Donovan and keyboardist Myles Kellock – gave fans a sneak peak of the tune.
They wrote on Instagram: “New single. The Sulking Poet. 24.03.22. #blossomsband #ribbonaroundthebomb #newmusic #recordingstudio #direstraits #georgemichael #simonandgarfunkel #stockport #tomogden (sic)”
In January, Blossoms announced they had delayed their European tour due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.
They said in a statement: “We’re really gutted to have to that, due to the current situation with COVID, our forthcoming dates in Germany, France, Belgium and Netherlands have been postponed and will no longer be happening in January and February.
“Really sorry to have to do this. Blossoms X.”
Last autumn, the band collaborated with 1980s pop star Rick Astley to perform concerts in which they covered songs by iconic indie band The Smiths.
Former Smiths singer Morrissey offered his “sincere thanks” to the band and the ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hitmaker for their interpretation of his songs; ‘Panic’ and ‘This Charming Man’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Deryck Whibley views making records as a “necessary evil”.
The Sum 41 frontman is set to take his band on the road on their ‘Blame Canada’ tour with Simple Plan this summer in support of new LP ‘Heaven and Hell’, and he admitted performing live is his favourite part of being a musician so he can’t wait to get back out there again.
He said: “Making records is like the necessary evil to get back out on the road. That’s how we’ve always looked at it.
“It’s been two years and I think we’re gonna fall right back into it. I’m just really excited.”
The ‘Fat Lip’ hitmaker hadn’t been intending to write a new album over lockdown as he was “trying to relax” as a first time father to his and wife Ariana’s son Lydon, now two, but he felt inspired while driving around Los Angeles for hours on end, accompanied by playlists of music he’d listened to in his teens.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “[One playlist was filled] with all of the punk-rock stuff I listened to when I was in high school that I hadn’t listened to in years. [Listening to this music] kickstarted me into writing again.
“Once I had about four or five songs, I was like, ‘You know what? I like all these. I’m not giving these to anybody.;
“I wasn’t really trying to start a record.”
The first part of the record, known as ‘Heaven’, fits in with the current nostalgia around pop-punk, even though the singer started writing that way before it became fashionable again.
He said: “When that happened, I was like, ‘What kind of luck is that?’
“There’s some weird nostalgia that kicked in because of the pandemic.
“It all made sense to me why pop-punk is coming back: it’s feel-good music. There’s something that’s happy about it. Something young and innocent and free.”
The ‘Hell’ side of the album is heavier and more personal.
Deryck said: ” “Some of the metal stuff comes with a lot of anger for people who have stolen from me and hurt me in the past.”
Some lyrics are about a former manager who stole “lots of money” and was “mentally abusive” to the band.
Deryck added: “He was a dark person to be around so I find that even though it was years ago, it still creeps out in my music now. I can deal with stress and the issues that go on in life probably because I write about it and I get it all out.”
But the ‘In Too Deep’ singer hadn’t set out to make a double album.
He said: “As I listened to almost all of it, it just kind of dawned on me. ‘Did I just make a double record by accident?’ “

OHMYGOSSIP — Aerosmith have announced plans for a new Las Vegas residency.
The ‘Crazy’ hitmakers will be the first band to play at Park MGM’s Dolby Live when their ‘Deuces Are Wild’ concert series kicks off on 17 June, and they will perform a total of 24 shows across the latter half of 2022, with the residency scheduled to end on 11 December.
Frontman Steven Tyler announced on Twitter: “GET READY TO WALK THIS WAY TO VEGAS…
“@Aerosmith RETURNS TO SIN CITY!!! BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!!! DOLBY LIVE AT PARK MGM THIS JUNE THROUGH DECEMBER!!!

Members of the group’s ‘Aero Force One’ fan club can access a presale on Thursday (24.03.22), a week ahead of general sale.
The announcement comes after the band made the decision to cancel their delayed UK and European tour – which had already been postponed twice – due to the “continued presence of COVID restrictions and other issues”, and to safeguard their fans and crew.
Announcing the cancellation of the shows, which were due to take place in June and July, the ‘Sweet Emotion’ rockers said in a statement: “It is with deep regret we must announce that our European Tour, scheduled to take place in June and July 2022, has been canceled.
“We have continued to monitor the ongoing COVID situation, and with the related uncertainty around travel logistics and the continued presence of COVID restrictions and other issues, it has become clear that it will not be possible to go ahead with our summer shows in the region.
“The health, safety and well-being of our fans is our number one priority.
“We will be back to rock out with everyone and we hope to have some exciting news to announce soon. (sic)”
The band had previously launched a Las Vegas residency in 2019, performing until February 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic called a halt to live music.

OHMYGOSSIP — Maren Morris has called for “more diversity” in country music.
The 31-year-old singer suggested the genre is at a “mediocre” level because women, people of colour and members of the LGBTQ community are not given enough exposure and she believes all artists would benefit if a varied range of voices were given a platform.
She told The Daily Beast: “I definitely want to see more balance when I listen to the radio or when I listen to the playlists that have country artists on it. I would love to see more diversity, more people of colour, more LGBTQ perspectives, and more women, because the percentage is very off right now.
“And I think it homogenises the sound. It keeps it at such a mediocre level. I just get excited to get back into the writing room when I hear diversity. And that doesn’t even just mean the person making it—the sounds are different. It makes for a better playing field and better music if we widen the scope of it.”
Maren has been “forever changed” by what she’s realised about the Nashville scene but thinks there is still a “lot of work to do”.
She said: “Once you open your eyes to inequalities within your own genre or injustices that you’ve been unintentionally complicit with, you cannot close your eyes again. I am forever changed in a lot of ways and I can’t go back now that I’m awake to what I’ve seen.
“I love it here, I love this town, but we’ve got a lot of work to do. And I think we’re having those uncomfortable conversations, but it’s just not moving quite fast enough.”
The ‘My Church’ hitmaker called on people to “stay uncomfortable” and to call out “f*****-up s***” because it is the only way society and people can change.
She said: “We retreat back into our comfort zone of privilege. And I think that maintaining discomfort is the only way forward because it is the work being done, it’s the growing pains of moving. Stay uncomfortable, because that means that you’re growing and you’re trying to change.
“Maybe you will never figure it out fully, but just knowing that you can always ask questions and educate yourself. And when you see f*****-up s***, say something.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Bellamy has written “an Adele song” for Muse’s new album.
The 43-year-old singer is “really happy and proud” of the group’s upcoming record ‘Will Of The People’ – the follow up to 2018’s ‘Simulation Theory’ – and teased the LP features a very diverse range of tracks.
Speaking to Apple Music 1, Matt said: “This album goes from metal all the way to pop to my first version to an Adele song… a lot of electronica. It’s like a full…We produced it ourselves. We were analysing everything we’ve done to date. The last song on the album is called ‘We Are F****** F*****’.
“I’m really happy and proud of it. I genuinely think it’s our best album.”
The ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ singer – who is joined in the group by Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard – insisted it is nothing new for the band to experiment with different genres.
He said: “We’ve always tried to think outside the box. We’ve never been one particular genre.”
Drummer Dominic has “taken the lead” on the new album, which Matt claimed led to the band working much more slowly than usual.
He said: “I sort of let Dom take the lead a little bit. That’s why this album’s taken two years. Every decision takes like a week for him to come back to us. Normally I just rush everything. With him he’s really slow, takes his time with every decision. I allowed him to make a lot of decisions about what was good and what wasn’t.”
Matt previously revealed the album was their way of processing this “worrying and scary time” amid the war in Ukraine, the coronavirus pandemic, “rising authoritarianism” and the climate crisis.
Sharing the themes behind the record, he said: “A pandemic, new wars in Europe, massive protests and riots, an attempted insurrection, Western democracy wavering, rising authoritarianism, wildfires and natural disasters and the destabilisation of the global order all informed ‘Will Of The People’.
“It has been a worrying and scary time for all of us as the Western empire and the natural world, which have cradled us for so long are genuinely threatened. This album is a personal navigation through those fears and preparation for what comes next.”
