Janet Jackson uses trampoline to get in shape for mammoth tours

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson gets in shape for her tours by singing on a trampoline.
The 58-year-old singer has spilled her secrets to getting fit for her huge tours as she prepares to bring her ‘Together Again’ jaunt to the UK and Europe.
Stepping in for the host, Scott Mills said on BBC Radio 2’s ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’: “I used to hear that Destiny’s Child would run on treadmills and try and sing at the same time?”
Janet – who has seven-year-old son Eissa Al Mana with ex-husband Wissam Al Mana – said: “Yeah, that’s how you condition yourself. You run on a treadmill. Another way is a trampoline. That’s how you condition singing and getting your heart rate up and being able to move and sing at the same time.”
Scott then asked: “So have you been on a trampoline before go?”
Janet replied: “Yeah, I have two trampolines in my house, actually, for this purpose. Well, one is for my baby, and one is for me.
“He took the first one I got, so I had to get another for myself.”
She continued: “Yeah, it’s a lot of energy. And it’s just back-to-back to back-to-back to back-to-back, the whole show, and it’s two hours.”
As well as the high energy, the ‘Promise’ hitmaker has many costume changes and revealed she has three people assisting her backstage.
She said: “Well, I have three people helping me, actually, someone at my feet that’s changing my shoes, and someone that’s changing and I also help myself.”
And even then, sometimes it’s a race against time.
Janet added: “Sometimes I have not cleared the audience from seeing me, you run as quickly as you can to your quick change. And there were times when I had to undress a little bit before I got to my quick change, or I would not have made the change in time. So you start to unzip … I mean, you don’t take anything off, but you start to unzip things to make it go a little quicker.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea dubs Paul McCartney ‘greatest rock bass player’

OHMYGOSSIP — Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea has dubbed Sir Paul McCartney “the greatest rock bass player”.
The ‘Can’t Stop’ group’s bassist has described the Beatles legend’s “lyrical and melodic” playing as “just so beautiful”.
Speaking to Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson on the podcast ‘Where Everybody Knows Your Name’, Flea said: “I think Paul’s the greatest rock bass player. He’s just great. I mean, there are so many guys that are great in different ways, but Paul’s bass playing is so lyrical and melodic, and it’s just so beautiful. One of the things I’ve heard is that he put the bass on after. A band like mine, the bass sometimes the song starts with bass lines, so coming first, or the music comes first.”
He added of their unique approach: “Whereas I think Paul and John and George, when they wrote songs and Paul would do the bass. And after multi-tracking came in, at the beginning of them, they just went and played live and would do it after, like ‘Sgt. Pepper’s’, the melody is already there. So then he’s doing, like a counter melody, so the bass is like a melody as opposed to just rhythm, and that’s amazing. He’s amazing.”
Meanwhile, the billionaire musician recently enjoyed “looking back” on Wings in the documentary ‘One Hand Clapping’.
The film – directed by David Litchfield – details the recording sessions for the band’s live studio album of the same name at London’s Abbey Road Studios back in 1974 with rare footage and interviews and it’s set to debut in cinemas next month with McCartney admitting it was a thrill to travel back in time.
He said of the project: “It’s so great to look back on that period and see the little live show we did. We made a pretty good noise actually. It was a great time for the band, we started to have success with Wings, which had been a long time coming.”
The footage was filmed back in the 1970s at the height of Wings’ fame for a TV special which was never aired, and the film now features a new introduction from the man himself as well as a “backyard session” with the musician performing Buddy Holly songs and unreleased track ‘Blackpool” on his acoustic guitar.

Damon Albarn’s architect father Keith Albarn has died

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn’s father, Keith Albarn, has died aged 85.
The Blur frontman’s architect dad’s passing was confirmed in an obituary in The Times newspaper.
It read: “Keith Albarn obituary: artist, architect and father of Damon.
“Creator of sensory space-age playgrounds in urban areas and an influential teacher.”
He studied architecture at Nottingham School of Art, where he met fellow student Hazel Dring, whom he married in 1963 in Legsby, Lincolnshire.
They had two children, Britpop legend Damon, 56, and artist daughter Jessica, 53.
From 1977 to 1981, he was course leader of fine art at North East London Polytechnic. From 1981 to 1997 he was the head of the Colchester School of Art.
As well as designing modular structures, Keith was known for his work in TV arts programming.
His passing comes months after Blur wrapped their reunion shows at Coachella in April.
And drummer Dave Rowntree recently teased that Blur are willing to work together more often as long as the opportunities are right.
The ‘Parklife’ band are releasing a live album of their two gigs at Wembley Stadium last summer and the sticksman admits the temptation to do more projects is always there.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “There’s still tons of stuff we could do. It’s about finding an offer that’s very hard to say no to.
“When we first got back together in 2009, we were very happy to be the first people to play what has become the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park.
“Then we were asked to headline the party to end the 2012 Olympics, and you can’t say no to that.”
Dave explained that the Britpop icons – completed by guitarist Graham Coxon and bassist Alex James, both 55 – had fun on the tour that accompanied the release of the album ‘The Ballad of Darren’ last year.
The 60-year-old musician said: “We came away all still friends, having had a lot of fun doing the shows.
“So there’s absolutely no reason why we couldn’t consider another interesting idea, if we’re all available. But there’s absolutely nothing in the diary for Blur at the moment.”
Meanwhile, fans can check out the candid documentary film ‘Blur: To The End’.

Barack Obama is having a Brat Girl Summer as he adds 365 to Summer Playlist

OHMYGOSSIP — Barack Obama has added Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ bop ‘365’ to his annual Summer Playlist.
The former US president has followed in the footsteps of 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris, 59, by joining ‘Brat Girl Summer’.
The Spotify playlist also includes Billie Eilish’s ‘CHIHRO’, Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’, Shaboozey’s ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.
Plus, The Rolling Stones’ ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’, Bob Dylan’s ‘Silvio’, and Sting’s ‘If You Love Somebody Set Them Free’.
Obama, 63, wrote on X: “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately — and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix.
“I hope you find something new to listen to!”
After departed President Joe Biden announced he was giving his “full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee for our party this year”, Charli wrote on X: “Kamala IS brat.”
Soon after the post, Kamala’s official campaign cashed in on the support by changing its banner on X to mimic the style of “Brat”.
After the alteration, it read “kamala hq” in lowercase black lettering with a lime green background.
Charli – real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison – defined her take on the word “brat” in a video on TikTok, saying: “You’re just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes.
“Who feels herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile.
“Like does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.”
Some of Kamala’s most popular quotes and videos were also spliced together and set to Charli’s songs.
Many of the clips were tinted in the lime green hue of the singer’s ‘Brat’ album cover – or the cover pops up in between clips of the politician.
One of the most used quotes is Kamala telling the US president: “We did it, Joe”, after he was elected in 2020 – making her the first female vice president in American history.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars continue to tease duet

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars continue to tease fans about their upcoming duet.
The hotly anticipated track, believed to be called ‘Die With A Smile’, has seemingly been previewed by Gaga, 38, after she posted a clip of herself performing a piano piece in Bruno’s signature style whilst donning a t-shirt with his face on it.
The ‘When I Was Your Man’ hitmaker, also 38, posted the clip to his Instagram Story.
After Bruno played Mexico City and shared a series of pictures from the concert, Gaga commented with various emojis, fuelling the collaboration speculation.
After her recent performance at the Paris Olympics, Gaga treated fans on the street to short previews of new music from her upcoming seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Chromatica’.
Back in May, during a discussion for her movie ‘Gaga Chromatica Ball’, she teased: “I have written so many songs and I have produced so many songs. It’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before. There’s something really beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
Meanwhile, the ‘A Star is Born’ actress recently revealed she wants to record another single with Beyonce.
The two superstars teamed up on ‘Telephone’ in 2010, and the ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker also featured on her pal’s track ‘Video Phone’ in 2009, and after fans speculated they were recording a follow-up track earlier this year, Gaga teased it could still happen.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Whenever Beyoncé calls, I’d like to pick up the phone.”
Speculation began in February, when Beyonce’s Verizon commercial debuted during the Super Bowl, teasing her new music, and fans drew comparisons between the motifs in promo images and videos for ‘Cowboy Carter’ and the vibe of the ‘Telephone’ music video.
But while any new duet may not be happening in the near future, Gaga teased fans won’t need to wait too long for her seventh studio album.
She said: “I have been working on my new music all the time and I truly live and breathe it. I just can’t wait to give it to the fans.”
Asked when fans can expect the record, which she described as a “completely different project”, she added: “They hate when I say, ‘Soon,’ but soon.”

Lou Reed’s pre-Velvet Underground recordings compiled for new album

OHMYGOSSIP — A Lou Reed singles album compiling his songwriting before his tenure in The Velvet Underground is set to be released.
‘Why Don’t You Smile Now: Lou Reed at Pickwick Records 1964-65’ is set to drop on September 27 and boasts the songs he penned for artists on Pickwick Records, including ‘The Ostrich’ by The Primitives, for which he supplied lead vocals.
The collection is comprised of four sides and is available to pre-order now via Light In The Attic.
Earlier in the year, Keith Richards was among those featured on an album to celebrate Reed’s enduring influence.
The iconic musician died from liver disease in October 2013, aged 71, and several of his friends and fans – including Keith, Rosanne Cash, Lucinda Williams, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Afghan Whigs, Bobby Rush, Maxim Ludwig and Angel Olsen, Mary Gauthier, and Automatic – created ‘The Power Of The Heart: A Tribute To Lou Reed’.
The Rolling Stone – who features on the track ‘I’m Waiting for the Man’ – dubbed the musician a hugely influential figure.
He said: “To me, Lou stood out. The real deal!
“[He was] important to American music and to all music! I miss him and his dog.”
Record producer Bill Bentley also has fond memories of the star.
He explained: “There are many moments when Lou Reed’s soul still rushes through me like a warm wind on a motionless day.
“It might be a certain chord I hear, a word spoken with his distinct New York accent, or even just a glancing memory of the way he smiled when he was happy followed by a restrained cackle which assured all was right in Reed’s world … His spirit is there, undiminished with a worldly peaceful wisdom he had never quit seeking.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa has reassured BLACKPINK’s fans that they are here to stay.
The 27-year-old star might have launched her own artist management firm, LLOUD, and have a solo album in the pipeline, but she insists she and her bandmates in the K-pop girl group – Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo – have no plans to call it quits.
She told ELLE US: “Of course, we’re continuing, for sure. We’re so proud of Blackpink, and I love Blackpink. It is not just because of our fans, it’s for ourselves. There was no doubt. This is our life.”
Lisa is also making her acting debut in HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’, and admitted she is “nervous”.
She told the magazine: “I think I cried [when I got the role]. I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it. I’m super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, ‘Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?’”
She admitted: “It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos…I’m excited for my fans to see it.”
In March, Lisa vowed to release a solo album this year – “no matter what”.
The ‘Pink Venom’ star – who released the single album ‘Lalisa’ in 2021 – promised fans she will unleash a new record at some point in 2024 and told fans to “stay tuned”.
Hosting a ‘Special Birthday Q and A with Lisa – 27 years around the sun’, via her label LLOUD’s official YouTube channel, she teased: “This year, album, No matter what, I want to release a new album this year. This year I was able to focus on myself more. I’m so excited to do what I want to do this year. Stay tuned!”
She also teased collaborations with Rosalía and Tyla.
The ‘Water’ hitmaker recently spilled that she and Lisa are “definitely” going to work together “down the line”.
The 22-year-old singer posted a clip of herself and the rapper goofing around whilst listening to ‘Art’ from Tyla’s self-titled debut album.
Tyla captioned the Instagram Story video: “sweetest gorllll, played her some of my favourite songs on the album… Definitely a LISA x TYLA collab down the line. (sic)”
And she later told Reuters: “We’ve been speaking about making a song together, so yes, for sure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack White is planning to play a series of “small clubs” in support of his latest album ‘No Name’.
The former White Stripes star has already been playing intimate concerts and is planning many more impromptu sets.
He shared on Instagram: “Hello, and love to all the peoples of the world out there. Lotta folk asking about when we are going to announce ‘tour dates’, well, we don’t know what to tell you but the tour already started at the Legion a couple of weeks ago.
“People keep saying that these are ‘Pop up shows’ we’ve been playing, well, you can call them whatever you want, but we are on tour right now.”
He added: “These are the ‘shows’. We won’t really be announcing dates in advance so much, we will mostly be playing at small clubs, back yard fetes, and a few festivals here and there to help pay for expenses.”
The 49-year-old musician took fans and even his own publicist by surprise last month when copies of the record were added to the bags of shoppers at the Detroit, London and Nashville branches of his Third Man Records stores, before he dropped the LP on August 2.

Oasis drop rare version of Sad Song sung by Liam Gallagher

OHMYGOSSIP — Oasis have released a rare version of ‘Sad Song (Mauldeth Road West Demo, Nov ’92)’.
The demo cut features frontman Liam Gallagher, 51, on lead vocals instead of brother and guitarist Noel Gallagher, 57, who recorded the bonus track for 1994’s seminal ‘Definitely Maybe’ LP.

Fans can also dive into new sleeve notes from Creation Records boss Alan McGee – who discovered the Britpop legends and offered to sign them then and there – and journalist Hamish MacBain.
The ‘Definitely Maybe (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)’ album is available to pre-order now on Limited-Edition Deluxe 4LP and Deluxe 2CD formats plus exclusive coloured vinyl – ‘Up In The Sky’ “Learning to fly” lyric inspired blue and white marble 2LP, and ‘Digsy’s Dinner’ “Strawberries and cream” lyric inspired pink and white marble 2LP. Liam said his estranged brother turned down his offer to reunite with him on the jaunt.
When a fan asked if Noel would be taking part, Liam replied: “He’s been asked and he’s refused.”

Frank Carter and Sex Pistols announce London concert

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Carter and Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook, Glen Matlock and Steve Jones have announced a concert at London’s O2 Forum Kentish.
After three sold-out fundraising concerts at Bush Hall in West London, the foursome will once again perform the Pistols’ iconic 1977 album ‘Never Mind The B*******’ in full.
Guitarist Steve said: “The response to the Bush Hall shows has been overwhelming and it’s a privilege to help out a local venue like that.
“And it became obvious that there are many more fans who want to see us. Playing with Frank has been such a pleasure that we wanted to extend the fun. So Kentish Town, here we come.”
General sale tickets go on sale on Friday (16.08.24) at 9am via https://www.livenation.co.uk/artist-frank-carter-and-paul-cook-steve-jones-glen-matlock-of-the-sex-pistols-1501314.
Frank and Steve bonded when he was interviewed on the latter’s radio show in 2008.
The former said: “This has been a joy from start to finish. When the Sex Pistols call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
Paul commented: “We’re doing a benefit for Bush Hall with the famous Frank Carter. We’re going to be playing Pistols numbers cause they need support and they need the money. We thought it would be a great way to stop it going under. This is my local venue. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live round here. It would be a real shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going. So everyone get down to the gig!”
Steve quipped: “If it all goes wrong, it’s Paul’s f****** fault.”
Bassist Glen Matlock added: “I tend to agree with Steve.
“Smaller music venues are the lifeblood of new music. It’s in these intimate spaces that raw talent gets a chance to shine, where bands can really connect with their audiences, and where the spirit of live music truly comes alive, so we need to keep them going.”

Paloma Faith feeling ‘really refreshed and revived’ to play live again after ‘exhaustion’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith is feeling “really refreshed, revived and excited” to play live again, after cancelling a show this summer due to “exhaustion”.
The 43-year-old singer-songwriter was struck down with laryngitis and felt “run down” earlier this year, but she is now excited about headlining the Margate Summer Series in Margate, south east England, on Friday (16.08.24).
Paloma – who has two daughters, aged seven and three – told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I was exhausted and some of the ones I had to cancel was because I got laryngitis and I was run down.
“I can’t believe I’ve actually done it. It’s my first tour that I’ve done as a single parent.
“I think it took a lot more out of me than previous ones have.
“I’ve just come back from a two-week holiday so I’m really refreshed, revived and excited to play.”
In June, Paloma was left “incredibly upset and disappointed” when she was forced to cancel a performance in Southampton due to “exhaustion”.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “I’m incredibly upset and disappointed to announce that I need to cancel my show tonight in Southampton. After suffering from exhaustion and catching various illnesses from my kids my voice has been severely affected and my range is compromised.
“I have sought advice from medical professionals, they have advised that I need to rest my voice and that means I’ve had to cancel tonight’s show. I’m so sorry to everyone who bought tickets, I’ve loved being on the road and seeing all your gorgeous faces, and I’m gutted I won’t be dancing with you tonight.
“There will be other opportunities in the future I’m sure. Ticket holders will be able to claim refunds from point of purchase. Loads of love, Paloma x (sic)”
Paloma recovered in time to perform on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage two days later on June 30th.

Tyler, The Creator apologises to Eminem over Recovery criticism

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler, The Creator has publicly apologised to Eminem for slamming his ‘Recovery’ album.
The ‘Earfquake’ rapper has recalled his vocal criticism of the hip-hop legend’s 2010 record – which was his second LP since going sober – and admitted he “felt so bad” about his comments after learning more about what the ‘Lose Yourself’ legend had been going through.
He told the ‘Maverick’s podcast with Mav Carter: “I was a big Eminem fan. When that album came out I f****** hated it. Publicly was like, ‘This s*** is wack.’
“Didn’t like it and after watching [2023 Netflix series Painkillers] I felt so bad about those tweets and things like that because thinking from his perspective someone like me publicly saying that stuff and him getting off drugs and being clean and getting to a point in life where that’s behind him and me implying, ‘Nah, this s*** is wack.’”
Tyler hadn’t realised the impact his criticism could have had coming from a “limited” point of view.
He added: ” I thought I was just like, ‘I don’t like the music.’ He was in a different part of his life and probably felt like I was attacking him. Now I feel so bad about saying that stuff because my perspective was so limited.”
The 33-year-old star recalled how he learned “how to rap” by listening to Eminem’s music as he figured out “how to put words together in a rhythm’.
He continued: “After watching that show, that gave me perspective — this was a few months ago — and I felt so terrible about some of the things I said about that ‘Recovery’ album because I realised that was a big step and meant a lot to him and my f****** young stupid a** is like, ‘I wanna hear the same song and dance and I loved ‘The Eminem Show’.
“But he’s not there anymore. I felt terrible. If I ever see him, I want to tell him that in person.”
Over the last 14 years, they have had a tense relationship, and Eminem called him a homophobic slur on 2018’s ‘Kamikaze’, before later admitting he went “might” have gone “too far”.
That same year, Eminem told Sway: “Un my quest to hurt him, I realise that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it. It was one of the things that I kept going back to and going, ‘I don’t feel right with this.’”

Noel Gallagher still trying to ‘live up to’ success of first Oasis albums

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has spent the last 30 years trying to “live up to” the success of Oasis’ first two albums.
The 57-year-old rocker has enjoyed a hugely successful solo career since the group – who released a total of seven studio LPs – went their separate ways in 2009 but he doesn’t think any of the band have done anything to match 1994 debut ‘Definitely Maybe’ or the 1995 follow-up ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’.
Asked if it was tough to follow the success of their first album with the second, Noel told the Sunday Times Culture magazine: “We never thought about things like that. We went directly from the last night of the ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour to record ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’, and then spent the following 29 years — and counting — trying to live up to both albums.”
Despite his years of success, the ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ hitmaker would be just as happy if Oasis had only ever released one album.
He said: “I guess it’s the definitive Oasis album.
“It has the spirit, the arrogance of youth. Teenage anthems. It’s live — no bullshit. If we’d made only that album, then I’d still be as happy as I am now.”
But Noel believes it is the passing of time that has made the record a classic.
He said: “Well, we knew the songs were great because we played them every night and all the shows were outrageous.
“But at that time it was just a good album — nothing more, nothing less. It’s only through time that it has become what it is now.”
The guitarist admitted it is a “mystery” how they made such a great record because they had no idea what they were doing in the studio.
He said: “In hindsight, we didn’t really know what we were doing. We were trying to ‘make a record’, but none of us had ever done one before. So, we just set the gear up and got into character and pressed record. The rest, as they say, is mystery.”

Dave Navarro teases new Jane’s Addiction album is on the way

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Navarro has confirmed a new album from Jane’s Addiction’s original line-up is “more than likely going to happen”.
The guitarist and his bandmates Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery returned with their first new music together in 34 years last month with single ‘Imminent Redemption’ and the 57-year-old rocker confirmed there are other tracks ready for fans to hear.
However, he isn’t sure what format the releases will take.
Dave told Rolling Stone magazine of the possibility of an album: “That’s more than likely going to happen. I mean, we have recorded material. I don’t know specifically the model, if it’s going to be a song at a time, or if we’re going to drop a song, and then a record, or I don’t really know. I kind of stay out of that stuff. What matters to me most is that this stuff is on vinyl.
“I don’t know anything about streaming or anything like that. But I’m 57 years old. I’ve been in this band since I was 17 or 18, and it’s the same band, and we have some of the same hurdles, and we have other obstacles that are no longer there.
“There’s always hurdles in collaborative creative efforts, but overcoming those hurdles is where the solution happens, and the solution, should it reveal itself, can be pretty exciting.”
Dave took a break from the band in 2022 to focus on his health after suffering from long covid, and he admitted there were times he feared he wouldn’t make it back on stage.
Asked if he ever worried he wouldn’t perform again, he said: “Of course. It was, ‘Maybe, I’ll never get to do this again. Maybe this is my life for the rest of my life.’
“You can’t help but lay awake at night and think up scary thoughts. And you just kind of have to pull yourself down to earth.
“That involved a lot of meditation, a lot of staying in the present, a lot of journaling, a lot of internal work, just to say, ‘I don’t know the answer to the future, and I’m not going to sit here and try and predict it … If anything, I should put into the universe, positivity, and try and pull some kind of manifestation effect, wherein I am able to do it again.’
“That’s just such a hard thing to force the brain to do when it’s looping on negativity.”

Morgan Wade has been living the dream on the Triple Moon Tour with her idols

OHMYGOSSIP — Morgan Wade had to pinch herself when Alanis Morissette and Joan Jett watched her from side of stage.
The country rock star has been living the dream on the road with her two heroes this summer on the ‘Triple Moon Tour’, which is due to wrap on August 10 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
She told Total Rock magazine: “I would say right now! We’re currently on tour with Alanis Morissette and Joan Jett. On the first show, I saw both of them watching me from the side of the stage. You can’t really beat that! Those are two badass women who have been such a huge part of music and paved the way for more female artists. Then I woke up to Alanis texting me, being really kind and saying she thought my show was amazing. I couldn’t believe it… how did my life end up here, chatting to Alanis and seeing Joan Jett watching my whole set? That’s crazy!”
Recalling receiving the call to join the jaunt with the ‘Ironic’ hitmaker and the ‘Bad Reputation’ star, she told People: “My agents called me. They’re like, ‘Hey, Alanis would like for you to come do this tour with her and Joan Jett.’ I mean, what do you really say during that moment, because it’s two legends right there that you get to go spend a lot of time with for a two-month period.”
She gushed: “Both of these women are so unique in their own way and true to who they are.
“Both of them are legends. I couldn’t be more excited for this lineup.”

Caity Baser has recalled her spooky encounter with the ghost of an old man

OHMYGOSSIP — Caity Baser has recalled “hyper-ventilating” when she saw the ghost of an old man.
The 22-year-old pop star claims she heard the man speak during the spooky encounter.
She told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I woke up and was sweating and hyper-ventilating.
“I looked at the end of the bed, and there was an old man stood there.
“He wasn’t scary. I didn’t feel scared. He was just smiling – like ‘Hello’ – looking at me… then I went back to sleep.
“In the morning, my friend said, ‘Something weird happened last night, I woke up and I was sweating, and there was an old man stood at the foot of the bed’
“I went, ‘Shut the f*** up, I saw the exact same thing! We told our mate, and she was like, ‘Oh yeah, we see old people round here all the time, old ghosts and stuff!”
The ‘Pretty Boys’ singer also revealed she has a special mascot that she believes is a “good omen” and ensures her concerts go off well.
She said: “I have a little dinosaur called Reggie that sits on the drum kit at every single show, and if he’s not there… there’s been two shows where I forgot him, and they were both awful. He is my good omen.
“Every festival, he’s always on top of my bag before I go.”
