OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has released a remix of ‘2step’ featuring Ukrainian band Antytila to raise funds for Music Saves UA.
The 31-year-old megastar has joined forces with the band who have become soldiers fighting for their country amid Russia’s invasion, after they reached out to ask to collaborate with the Grammy winner on social media.
The new remix of the track from Ed’s fifth studio album, ‘=’, comes with a visualiser featuring Antytila, who also directed and produced it.
Over the next 12 months, worldwide record royalties from YouTube streams of the official visualiser, and Warner Music’s proceeds from such streams, will be donated to the non-profit, Music Saves UA, the fundraising project created to provide immediate humanitarian help to Ukrainians caught up in the conflict.
After exchanging messages on social media, it was decided that Antytila would add their own poignant verse, a message of hope, in Ukrainian.
Ed filmed the official video for ‘2step’ featuring Lil Baby in Kyiv, Ukraine last year.
He said upon its launch: “I filmed the video for ‘2step’ in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the devastating acts of violence started to take place. It was my first time visiting the country and I felt so welcomed during my stay there – everyone from the production crew to the many people I met across my days off. Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful to have had the chance to film my video there. I stand with Ukraine and will be donating my record royalties from YouTube streams of the video to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal x.”
The ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker is not done with ‘2step’ yet, as he is planning more remixes with a host of artists in the coming weeks.

OHMYGOSSIP — Bad Bunny is to drop a new album on Friday (06.05.22).
The 28-year-old rapper has shared an Instagram video to tell fans that his upcoming fourth studio album, ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ – which translates as ‘A Summer Without You’ – will be released later this week.
In the clip, Bad Bunny chats with Spanish actor Mario Casas, during which he says the album is done, and at the end of the video it is revealed the release date if May 6th, 2022.
The title for the new album, which will feature 23 tracks, was revealed last month.
Bad Bunny posted a classified car advert for a 2019 Bugatti Chiron 110 for $3.5 million under his real name Benito A. Martinez Ocasio, and he left a Puerto Rico phone number.
When fans dialled the number they heard an audio clip of the new tune and a text message which, when translated into English, read: “Hello! Thank you for calling. There’s little time left until the album comes out. I can’t say the date yet. But I can tell you the name: Un Verano Sin Ti (A Summer Without You).”
In December, the ‘Yonaguni’ hitmaker – whose real name is Benito Ocasio – admitted he wasn’t “used to fame” yet, but thinks that has kept him “humble”.
He said at the time: “I still haven’t gotten used to being perceived on this incredible scale. I still don’t understand how people see me, or how I can possibly impact so many people. And maybe this is good.
“Maybe not understanding my reach helps keep me humble. It helps keep me the same Benito that I was growing up. The one that created art just because he was passionate about it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are making a big return to music this year.
Karen O’s band have been largely absent over the last four years, but have now dropped a huge hint they are coming back with new songs after signing with independent record label Secretly Canadian.
The band has released a teaser for a new track as they prepare for their first gigs since 2018.
They will be playing dates in Manchester and London next month as well as Australia.
They have now added two US shows. They will perform at Forest Hills Stadium in New York on October 1 before heading to Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on October 6.
Karen O said of the news: “It’s with true life affirming pleasure to announce our two headline shows in our two hometowns NYC AND LA supported by two wildly gifted bands Japanese Breakfast and The Linda Lindas at the Hollywood Bowl, with The Linda Lindas supporting in Forest Hills and our other support TBA soon!
“Representin’ a few generations yo! Cannot wait to see you there! New music! New Era! And New Home with Secretly Canadian! Much to celebrate!”
The dates were announced in a video which also shared a snippet of a new track, fuelling fans’ hopes a new album might be on the way.
The group have yet to confirm plans to release any new material, but in 2020, Karen admitted the timing felt right.
Speaking to Australian radio station Double J, she said: “All I can say is that I feel ready to make some music. That’s pretty much all I could say to that.
“It feels like time to have something new out there. But that’s yet to happen, so we’ll see how this year goes.”
The band’s last album, ‘Mosquito’, was released in 2013.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kasabian have announced their first album since Tom Meighan’s departure.
The former frontman was let go from the band and sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work in July 2020, after pleading guilty to assaulting his now-spouse, Vikki Ager, during the incident in April that year.
Tom has since gone solo and is currently on the road.
And the ‘Club Foot’ rockers – whose guitarist Serge Pizzorno is now performing frontman duties – are on a completely different path, with their first LP since 2017’s ‘For Crying Out Loud’ on the way.
‘The Alchemist’s Euphoria’ is released on August 5, and it includes the recently released single, ‘ALYGATYR’, and the latest tune, out today (06.05.22), ‘SCRIPTVRE’.
Penned by Serge and co-produced with Stormzy and Adele’s producer Frazer T Smith, the frantic track is “about rewriting the story you tell yourself.”
He continued: “One thing about this record I feel over the other ones, is it definitely feels like a body of work that belongs together. It was a beautiful moment in mastering hearing it as a piece. I think it really holds up in our seven albums … The Magnificent Seven.”
Serge – who is joined by Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Tim Carter in the indie rock outfit – has revealed the “euphoric” song was inspired by Kanye West and “’70s soul” music.
He told NME: “It has this huge sound that came from me bouncing off Kanye and old ‘70s soul cuts from digging in crates. There’s a euphoric, beautiful arms-in-the-air moment then goes back to this ferocious, heavy beat. It’s in your face.”
Serge admitted the album is an “emotional trip”.
He explained: “The album has a big, epic sound but with a personal touch as well.
“There are some softer edges alongside the massive parts. As a whole, it’s a beautiful thing and the most cohesive record we’ve ever made. It’s an emotional trip.
“It has a very universal feeling about forks in the road and which way you’re going to go. You’re a ship in the harbour – are you going to stay in the harbour, or do what a shop is supposed to do and get in the f****** sea, man? Go and ride as many waves as possible and see where you end up. It’s about dealing with that.”
Meanwhile, Kasabian are set to support Liam Gallagher when the former Oasis star makes his return to Knebworth on June 3 and 4.
Serge and co will also headline the Isle of Wight Festival on June 18.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ride are set to support Richard Ashcroft at Crystal Palace Bowl’s South Facing Festival.
The former Verve frontman’s upcoming open-air gig, as part of the summer concert series on August 6, just got even bigger, with the shoegaze legends set to join the likes of Steve Lamacq, BDRMM, Tess Parks and Alan McGee at the South London park.
Ride – who reunited in 2014 – have a special treat in store for fans, as they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their much-lauded 1990 LP ‘Nowhere’ by performing the record start to finish at the outdoor show.
The group – comprising Andy Bell (Oasis, Beady Eye), Mark Gardener, Laurence Colbert and Steve Queralt – returned with their sixth studio album, ‘This Is Not a Safe Place’, in 2019.
Its predecessor, 2017’s ‘Weather Diaries’, marked their first LP in 21 years.
South Facing takes place between July 29 to August 2, and will see headline sets from London Grammar, Jungle, Bombay Bicycle Club, Kamasi Washington Ezra Collective, Becky Hill and English National Opera.
South Facing launched last year with performances from the likes of Supergrass and The Streets.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones have shared two previously unreleased gems from their famed 1977 Toronto club show.
‘Tumbling Dice’ and ‘Hot Stuff’ were recorded at the pair of secret gigs at the 300-capacity El Mocambo venue in March 1977, and they are featured on the upcoming ‘Live At The El Mocambo’ album, which is being released next Friday (13.05.22) in honour of the ‘Start Me Up’ hitmakers’ 60th anniversary.
Available on double CD, 4 LP Black Vinyl, 4 LP Neon Vinyl and digitally, the full set from the March 5 show and three bonus tracks from the March 4 show make up the track-listing.
The new mix is by Bob Clearmountain – the producer who worked on the ‘Satisfaction’ group’s 1981 LP ‘Tattoo You’.
Only four of the performances have previously appeared on the ‘Love You Live’ album in September 1977.
The first two tracks, ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll’ and ‘Rip This Joint’, are also available on digital platforms now.
The Stones’ Toronto club shows came about after a radio contest offered tickets to see the Canadian rock band April Wine, with support from the “Cockroaches”, who were in fact the ‘Paint it Black’ hitmakers.
The set also included Muddy Waters’ ‘Mannish Boy’, Bo Diddley’s ‘Crackin’ Up’, ‘Let’s Spend The Night Together’ and and blues classics Big Maceo’s ‘Worried Life Blues’ and Willie Dixon’s ‘Little Red Rooster.’
Those lucky enough to attend got to hear the live debut of ‘Worried About You,’ which went on to feature on ‘Tattoo You’, plus highlights ‘Honky Tonk Women’ and ‘Hot Stuff.’
Sir Mick Jagger and co famously started out as the house band at the Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, Surrey, England, in the 60s.
The live album announcement came after it was recently revealed that frontman Mick got a thrill out of playing secret club gigs in between stadium shows.
Joe Satriani played with Mick on his solo tour in 1988 and recalled how much satisfaction the rocker got out of playing surprise sets at bars.
He shared: “It seemed like once a month we would find a bar somewhere and we would make a deal with the local band that we would just walk in and take over their gear. And if we needed to bring an extra guitar, we would. But pretty much we plugged in to whatever they had.
“It was always great, just to see Mick turn it on when he’s literally 12 inches away from the audience.
And they can touch him and everything. He loved playing blues songs and rock and roll favourites and stuff. We all got a kick out of it.”
The live album is released in full on May 13.

OHMYGOSSIP — KSI is featured on S-X’s latest track, ‘Locked Out’.
The ‘Don’t Play’ hitmaker and the producer and solo artist – whose real name is Sam Andrew Gumbley – have joined forces again on the infectious new single from S-X’s upcoming debut studio album.
On the meaning behind the track, S-X said: “The song is a reflection of being “locked out” of someone’s presence or energy. Feeling like you don’t know where you stand and going through ups and downs as a cycle.”
S-X knew he wanted his pal KSI on the track from the start, but they wanted to wait until they landed on the right song.
KSI added: “Sam has always said he’s wanted me on his album, but he’s waited till it was the right song. That song is now here, ‘Locked Out’ is one of my favourite songs to date. The whole process from recording the song to filming the music video was so much fun and I can’t wait for my audience to hear it, especially since I haven’t released music in a while.”
S-X previously featured on KSI’s 2019 hit ‘Down Like That’, along with Rick Ross and Lil Baby.
The singer-songwriter has collaborated with the biggest names in music, including Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Chance The Rapper, J. Cole and Skepta.
The 29-year-old star – who hails from Wolverhampton – received high praise for his EP ‘A Repeat Wouldn’t Go A Miss’ last year, and is set to release his first full-length release in June.
A press release teased: “The release of his debut album in June will fully allow his voice to be truly heard, as he pushes his art into new dimensions and cements his status as an unstoppable artist in his own right. The Wolverhampton wonderkid has a producer’s ear, a pop-star’s voice, and is one of the nicest guys in the business to boot.”
Fans can also catch S-X on tour for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, with his run kicking off on June 1 in Nottingham and wrapping in Dublin on June 11.
After leaving Universal Music Group and Eterno Music, S-X signed with RBC Records and BMG last May.
He said: “Coming out of the pandemic, I’ve signed a new record deal and am making my best music.
“The time is really now for me to prove to the world what I can do. For the last few years, people have said I’m underrated and need more exposure. The music and energy I’m channelling now is going to put things right.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Serge Pizzorno has hailed it a “true honour” for Kasabian to be supporting Liam Gallagher at Knebworth.
The singer-and-guitarist admitted it will be “truly magical” to open up for the ‘Everything’s Electric’ hitmaker at the famous venue on 3 and 4 June because he missed out on seeing Liam’s old group Oasis perform their legendary gigs at the site back in 1996.
He told NME: “I was one of those trying to get myself a ticket.
“I was there, caning the hell out of those buttons on the phone to try and get a ticket. I missed out, but I watched it on MTV. They were at the top of the mountain of hysteria, and I was at the perfect age to see them rip something like that to pieces. It was so inspiring.
“They made you believe that you could do it yourself. The great thing about the Oasis movement is that they weren’t saying, ‘This is us, look how great we are’ – it was saying, ‘We’ve done it, now you’ve got to do it’.
“Liam’s been there for us from day one, so when he asked us to do it we were like, ‘F****** hell, man – it’s a true honour’. Not only do I get to go this time, but I get to be part of it. I can’t wait.

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse was hesitant to commit to a music career.
The 30-year-old model and actress has just released her 10-track debut album ‘I Can’t Let Go’ but admitted she was unsure about the project for a long time.
She told Variety: “It was something that I desperately wanted to do. For probably the last four years as I was putting out these singles, I guess I was testing my own courage and whether or not people would like it. I was definitely slow, just putting out one a year is not the best way to run your music business… I’ve been writing it for a long time, but it’s like the reality of it happening, I was unsure about. And then I just decided to do it.”
Although Suki has been happily dating Robert Pattinson, 35, for the past few years, she revealed that album opener ‘Moves’ was written during a time in her life when she was “so over being in love”.
She explained: “Like it’s so tiring, it’s so exhausting. I’d been alone for a few years and I was quite walled off. I think that song was sort of building myself back into like, I’m going to go for it this time and I’m going to really have to put myself out on a limb. I think I’ve actually got something to give this time, rather than try and fill a void and go into something that you know is going to be a disaster. At the time, I was thinking about how I wanted to do a song that Thelma and Louise would be listening to, that would be on the tape track as they drive off the mountain.”

The 26-year-old singer – whose hits include ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ and ‘Boyfriend’ – will perform at the music festival in Newcastle, England, on July 31.
Dean Saunders, who is one of the founding members of LooseFest, said: “We are delighted to add Mabel to our LooseFest 2022 line up!

LooseFest is being billed as the largest music festival ever to take place in Newcastle, and the exciting event will feature multiple all-weather stages, as well as a ferris wheel and a street food village.
Mabel previously revealed she’s determined to have fun during her stage shows.
The singer doesn’t worry too much about the finer details of her shows and is instead focused on entertaining her fans.
She shared: “It isn’t about hitting all the notes or having a perfect stage show, it’s about letting go and enjoying it.”
Mabel is also open and honest about her ambitions in the music business.
The singer – who is the daughter of Neneh Cherry and Cameron McVey – admits she wants to “sell loads of records” during her career.
She said: “I’m not embarrassed to say that I want to be really successful and I want to sell loads of records.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hanson want to have a ‘deeper connection’ as the band reaches 25 years.
The pop band – which is made up of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson – shot to fame as kids with their debut single ‘MMMBop’ back in 1997 and now drummer Zac has explained that he had a “mental shift” as the group approached the milestone anniversary.
He said: “When we hit the 25th anniversary of the band, to me there was a mental shift that said, ‘It’s not really just about making music anymore’. So, I just started thinking about records more like, ‘What kind of stories are we telling? How are we deepening the connection and the understanding of the band? [Being in the band is] a beautiful compromise, because what we are together makes us better for the most part].”
Meanwhile, guitarist Isaac – who is now married to Nicole Dufresne and has Clarke, 15, James, 14, and Nina, eight – explained that it is “trippy” to think his eldest son is now around the same age he was when they were penning their smash hit single and debut album but claimed that he has had a “wild experience” with fame.
Speaking to Retro Pop Magazine, he said: I “was basically the age my eldest son is now, making ‘Middle of Nowhere’ – and that is trippy. He’s starting to get it, which is really funny. Especially in the last couple of years, he’s been like, ‘Dad, um, what the heck?’ It connects with him in a visceral way, because he saw a picture of me that was taken at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where I was standing with Steven Tyler and Jon Bon Jovi. He kind of flipped out, like ‘Dad, I love Bon Jovi and I love Aerosmith! What is going on?’ I was like, ‘I’ve lived a lot of life, man!’ It’s been a wild experience and it’s been a great experience!”

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS’ Suga has praised Psy for “paving the way for K-pop” in America.
Back in 2012 Psy became the highest-charting Korean pop act on the Billboard Hot 100 when ‘Gangnam Style’ peaked at number two and Suga believes this was a huge factor in BTS’ success.
Speaking on Psy’s YouTube channel, Suga said. “He was always someone I was grateful for. With ‘Gangnam Style,’ he paved the way for K-pop in the US so that we were able to follow his footsteps with ease.”
Now Suga and Psy have collaborated on ‘That That’, the title track from ‘Psy 9th’, Psy’s long-awaited new studio album.
And Psy admitted Suga inspired him to return to music after a five-year hiatus.
He said: “He came with the track and he suggested [it to] me. He wanted to produce [the song for] me.
“I was boosted with that incident, that young blood of that musician. We worked together, it was fun and I thought, ‘Yeah, this is music; this was what I’ve been doing since I was young.’ When I saw what he was doing, improvising and his enthusiasm, I got literally infected from him. It was the right way: talking, chatting, laughing, and spitting and feelin’ it. Day one, we meet and of course, we talked about music, right? But the quote he said was absolutely the trigger – he said, ‘Hyung, regarding hip-hop, the ’90s were the bomb.’ But the boy was born in the ’90s! He talked to me about Biggie and Tupac, I was like, ‘How do you know all that?’ He’s really crazy about ’90s hip-hop.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jewell Caples has died.
The singer – who was once known as Death Row Records’ ‘First Lady’ – passed away around 5am on Friday (06.05.22) at the age of 53, the record label’s former head of security, Reggie Wright Jr., told Vibe.
And her manager, Timonthy Beal, added in a statement: “Jewell was a very special woman with a big heart.
“She had been a guest at my wedding back on February 12th of this year. We shared many many spiritual conversations. She had transformed her life from hardcore gangsta rap to faith-based gospel singer and songwriter.
“We have been working diligently on her comeback, we wish we could have seen her make her big comeback. I will personally miss her a great deal. Goodbye to a great great friend and a very loving woman … RIP to her, gone but not forgotten. Her spirit will live on through her music for generations to come. Rest In Peace and Power.”
Former Death Row labelmate Dazzel Dillinger has paid tribute to Jewell.
He wrote on Instagram: RIP REST N PEACE iamjewellcaples IM SAD THIS REALLY HURT BUT JEWELLZ PASSED THIS MORNING.
“WOW DEATHROW FOR LIFE. WE GONE MISS HER CLASSIC MUSIC FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING.(sic)”
Although it is unclear how Jewell died, she was hospitalised in March after doctors found 8lbs of fluid on her heart, lungs and legs.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “I Almost Died! Was supposed to be Airlifted to another facility.
“GOD reverse my symptoms extended me some GRACE! And gave me more time with my Family and Friends! Thank you JESUS for saving my life again! GOD IS REAL!(sic)”
The ‘Woman to Woman’ singer began her career contributing vocals for N.W.A. before signing with Death Row Records in 1992.
She later worked with the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur on their respective albums ‘The Chronic’, ‘Doggy Style’, and ‘All Eyez on Me’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rick Astley has hinted at releasing a new record.
The 56-year-old singer is best-known for his successes in the 80s, including his 1987 hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ – but Rick loves seeing fans embrace his new material and he’s hinted that more could be in the pipeline.
He told Retro Pop magazine: “I’ve loved this last couple of years of making some new records and getting back into that.
“We did this record called ‘50’ a couple of years back, when I turned 50, and it was such a game changer and such an amazing thing to do.
“I wouldn’t say I’m addicted to it, but it’s just really nice every time we go on tour to have a couple of new songs to play – because there’s a part of the audience that just wants the old ones, but we’re finding that people are a bit more open to us playing a couple of new songs.
“I really love that and I don’t ever forget how lucky I am for that. So, we’ll see. We’ll see what’s what.”
Rick remains enthusiastic about making new music and he can barely believe that he released his best-known song so long ago.
He reflected: “The weird thing about age and life is, I’m 56, and it feels sometimes like it was a couple of years ago that we made that record. And then other times, I get out of the car after a long drive and I’m creaking, thinking, ‘Yeah, that was a long time ago that I made that record.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Phoebe Bridgers has vowed to donate a portion of ticket sales from her American tour to an abortion charity.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter – who is reportedly engaged to ‘Normal People’ star Paul Mescal – announced she will be giving money to The Mariposa Fund in the wake of the leaking of a document by the US Supreme Court, which suggested the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade case that legalised abortion across America could be overturned.
Announcing some extra tour dates, she wrote on Instagram: “Tour starts in 7 days.
“A dollar of each ticket will go to The Mariposa Fund, who work to provide abortions, specifically for undocumented people who already face huge systemic barriers when trying to obtain safe reproductive health services.
“We added a bunch of new shows, and I get to play with Sloppy Jane, Charlie Hickey, Claud, MUNA, and Christian Lee Hutson.
“Forest Hills will be special.”
Phoebe’s announcement came a few days after she revealed she had an abortion while on tour last year.
The ‘Smoke Signals’ singer shared her story as she insisted “everyone” should have “access” to abortion services like Planned Parenthood and shared “a big list of places you can donate to right now”.
She tweeted: “I had an abortion in October of last year while I was on tour.
“I went to Planned Parenthood where they gave me the abortion pill. It was easy.
“Everyone deserves that kind of access.”
Meanwhile, a partygoer recently claimed that the singer introduced Paul as her fiancé as she attended a bash at the Coachella festival in California.
Phoebe performed at the event while Paul was also seen mingling with his ‘Normal People’ co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones at the festival.
The pair were first romantically linked in 2020 when the American singer referred to Paul as “the cute boy” during an interview and revealed she “got a little pitter-patter” in her heart when she noticed the actor was following her on Instagram.
Paul then landed a role in her music video for the track ‘Saviour Complex’ before the pair went Instagram official at the end of last year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Grennan was “at the wrong place at the wrong time” when he was mugged in New York City.
The ‘Little Bit Of Love’ singer was attacked outside a Manhattan bar in April after he performed a gig, and Tom suffered a ruptured ear drum during the dramatic incident.
He said on ‘Smallzy’s Celebrity Small Talk’: “I was attacked and had some money stolen off me.
“What happened was I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time and obviously was in the wrong place in New York at that point.”
Tom explained that he’s still having to protect his ear because of the injury he sustained.
He said: “I ruptured my ear drum, that’s why I’ve got this thing up here because I can’t put anything over my ear really.”
John Dawkins, his manager, previously released a statement about the mugging, explaining that Tom was “the victim of an unprovoked attack”.
He also revealed that Tom was waiting for his doctor’s approval before he resumed touring.
John said in April: “In the early hours of this morning after Tom’s New York show, he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and robbery outside a bar in Manhattan.
“Tom is currently being assessed by doctors for his injuries which include a ruptured ear, torn ear-drum and issue with his previously fractured jaw.
“Despite this Tom is in good spirits but needs to temporarily recuperate whilst doctors assess his ability to continue with his touring.”
Tom was forced to postpone his Washington show following the mugging. However, he has been able to continue with the tour, and he finished the US leg in Los Angeles on April 27.
