OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Imbruglia wore army pants in the ‘Torn’ music video because she was “so body dysmorphic and insecure” back then.
The 47-year-old pop star has revealed she refused to wear a dress in the promo for her 1999 hit because she didn’t want to show off her body shape.
She told The Independent: “The army pants weren’t even cool army pants – they weren’t in fashion or anything.
“My intention in wearing that was so that you couldn’t see my silhouette, because I didn’t want anyone to see. But it ended up that there was a power in that because it was like [seen as] androgyny cool. But it really came from a place of ‘thank god I don’t have to wear a dress!’”
The Australian-British star – who played Beth Brennan in soap opera ‘Neighbours’ – also had insecurities about her music career and got into a lot of debt pursuing her dream.
She recalled: “I couldn’t get a work permit and I couldn’t get jobs. “When I signed my record deal, my UK visa was about to run out and I owed two grand to my landlord.”
Opening up about where her impostor syndrome stemmed from, she said: “I had grown up as a stage-school kid – I was a trained performer.
“But in some ways, that felt a little bit cheesy compared to what I was trying to do [as an artist]. So I couldn’t kind of marry those things in my head. And you know, I was in debt and I’d been famous for being on this TV show.”
Natalie recently recalled how she lost some “confidence” after a difficult time when her fourth album ‘Come To Life’ – which she worked on with Coldplay’s Chris Martin – flopped in Australia and saw its UK and US releases get cancelled, and she stepped away from the public eye.
She said earlier this year: “I think I wasn’t going through the best period of my career and I think I was feeling like I’m not good at something.
“It’s my confidence — whatever field you work in, I don’t think any amount of success means you’re never going to get insecure.
“So I just went through a period where I just felt like, ‘I can’t do this. I’m not good at this’. And it went on for too long.”
She returned with ‘Male’ – a collection of covers of songs by male artists – in 2015, but wouldn’t record her own music for another three years.
Thankfully, a writing trip to Nashville helped her rediscover her self-confidence and pride in her music, which resulted in 2021 album ‘Firebird’.
She added: “It wasn’t till I went to Nashville and did a writing trip that I overcame that [insecurity] because I just thought, ‘Throw me in the deep end, give me 10 days and two sessions a day’.
“And I wrote this song called ‘When You Love Too Much’, and I thought, ‘I’m really proud of that. That’s a really good song’.
“And then it was great because to have your confidence back, when you haven’t had it, is the best gift. It’s nice to have that feeling and to have a really creative burst.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher is raising awareness of male mental health with his new music video for ‘Too Good For Giving Up’.
The former Oasis frontman has released the moving promo for the raw track from his latest solo LP ‘C’mon, You Know’, for which he’s joined forces with the charity Talk Club.
The organisation is a “talking and listening club for men, offering talking groups, sports groups and therapy to help keep you mentally fit.”
The lyrics include the line: “This song could save lives.”
The video stars ‘Industry’ actor David Jonsson, who portrays a man battling with depression stemmed from a “giant doppelganger on his shoulders, a burden that makes even the simplest of tasks an uphill battle.”
After being ignored, he is greeted by a teenager wearing Talk Club’s ‘How are you? Out of 10?’ t-shirt.
More people then support him, and the doppelganger is finally carried. The relived male then steps into a pub for a Talk Club meeting.
In a social media statement, the 50-year-old Britpop legend said: “We all know someone affected by suicide which sadly seems to be at an all-time high.
“I’ve lost many people far too early and it’s important to talk. I’m really pleased to be able to help in anyway with this song and will be partnering with Talk Club on my track ‘Too Good For Giving Up’ LG x.”
All money raised from streams of the single will go to Talk Club until March 2023.
Co-founders of Talk Club Ben Akers and Gavin Thorpes commented: “Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. And Liam is a hero to many of that generation. So to be collaborating with him on something that raises the awareness of Talk Club, and gets men talking and improving their mental fitness, will save lives.”
The video was released on Liam’s official YouTube channel at midnight on World Mental Health Day (10.10.22).

OHMYGOSSIP — Arctic Monkeys will be joined by Inhaler on their European tour dates.
Alex Turner and co have just announced the leg of their world tour in support of their upcoming LP ‘The Car’, and confirmed the Irish rockers fronted by U2’s Bono’s son Elijah Hewson will open for them.
The run kicks off in Linz, Austria on April 24, 2023, and wraps on May 9 in Paris, France.
The ‘R U Mine?’ hitmakers will then kick off the UK leg in Bristol on May 29, before heading to North America in August.
Tickets for the European shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (14.10.22).
It was recently reported that the ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ hitmakers have signed up to headline Glastonbury 2023.
They are said to have already started preparations for the gig, which will be the third time they have joined the festival and 10 years since they last appeared on the festival’s Pyramid Stage.
A source told The Sun: “Alex Turner and the band are coming back to Glastonbury, and this time their set is going to be even bigger and better.
“The lads have signed on the dotted line and will return to the Pyramid Stage next June.
“It is really special for them to be doing a hat-trick on that stage and it is something they have wanted to do for a while.
“After the festival dates lined up with their upcoming tour they said they couldn’t not play there again.
“The band are in the process of putting together their team and are working on making their performance one of Glastonbury’s most memorable.”
They left a telling gap in the dates that coincides with Glastonbury 2023, which will run from June 21 to 25.

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams admitted partying with Oasis at Glastonbury was the catalyst for his “new life” after he left Take That as he kicked off his ‘XXV Tour’ at The O2 in London on Sunday night (09.10.22).
The 48-year-old singer reminisced on stage about how he met Liam and Noel Gallagher at the world famous music festival in Somerset, South West England, back in 1995 shortly after he made the momentous decision to walk away from the chart-topping boy band.
Although relations between Robbie and the Gallagher brothers soured soon after, with Noel’s “fat dancer from Take That” jibe kicking off one of music’s most infamous feuds, the pop icon accepts that moment in time set him on a course to become one of the biggest solo singers of all-time.
Before performing a cover of Oasis classic ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, Robbie said: “I started getting ideas about writing my own songs. One thing led to another and I made the cardinal mistake of breaking the rules. They couldn’t contain me anymore.
“I set off with flute full of champagne and a pocket full of cocaine, ready to get insane in the membrane and I went to Glastonbury to begin what I didn’t know was to be the start of my new life. When I was there, I hung out with this lot…”
The crowd joined in a rapturous singalong, and after the song ended, Robbie quipped that it “went down a little too well”.
Robbie combined his hit strewn set with stories from his life. At one point he played the video for Take That’s debut single ‘Do What You Like’ on the big screen, which featured him, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Howard Donald all shirtless and being smeared in jelly.
After reminiscing about the promo, he then launched into two verses of ‘Everything Changes’, much to the delight of his fans.
Robbie also referenced Take That’s hugely successful comeback and his reunion with Gary and the guys in 2010 for the album ‘Progress’.
Before singing ‘The Flood’ – taken from that reunion LP – he said: “Take That became a painful, distant memory. Until they came back and were much bigger than they were back then! They came back and they were bigger than they were! And I was happy for them, and I thought, ‘F*** it, if you can beat them join them.'”
Highlights from the set included a raucous ‘Let Me Entertain You’, 2001 single ‘Eternity’ – which was sung for his friend Geri Horner for helping him get sober – ‘Strong’, ‘Old Before I Die’ and ‘Feel’.
Robbie also sweetly dedicated ‘I Love My Life’ – taken from his 2016 LP ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’ – to his wife Ayda Field.
Following a rendition of ‘Rock DJ’, Robbie left the stage to deafening cheers to return for an encore of his mega hits ‘No Regrets’, ‘She’s the One’ and ‘Angels’.
Before closing the show with the massive 1997 ballad, he said: “Turns out there’s a happy ending, life is good.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles postponed the first of his concerts in Chicago due to illness.
The ‘As It Was’ hitmaker was scheduled to kick off his six-night stint of shows in the city on Thursday (06.10.22) but hours before the show, the United Center revealed the gig had been moved to Monday (10.10.22) “out of an abundance of caution”.
They tweeted: “Out of an abundance of caution, tonight’s Harry Styles show on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at United Center has been rescheduled to Monday, October 10, 2022 due to band/crew illness.
“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. All additional show dates will play as scheduled. An email from Ticketmaster will be sent directly to ticket holders with more info. (sic)”
In a later message, the venue confirmed fans who had received wristbands while in the queue could retain their places on Monday.
They clarified on their website: “The numbered wristbands given on Thursday, Oct. 6 for GA will be honoured on the rescheduled date of Monday, Oct. 10. Guests can line up in the previous order given as long as they arrive before 5 PM on Monday, Oct. 10. Any numbered wristband arriving after 5 PM will be placed in line after the last guest in line.
“Original numbered wristband must be presented on Monday, Oct. 10 to be honoured. Guests without previous numbered wristbands will be placed in line after the last guest in line.”
A spokesperson for the 28-year-old singer – who is due to be in Chicago until 18 October before the tour moves to California – has not revealed if Harry himself was ill or a member of his entourage.
The ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ hasn’t announced any further information on his social media channels either.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kid Cudi feels he is “kinda nearing the end” of making music – but he would love to become a kindergarten teacher.
The 38-year-old rapper admitted he is coming to a close “on all things Kid Cudi”, and isn’t sure it he wants to make albums for “too much longer”.
When speaking about the likes of hip hop stars Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Eminem, and Nas, Cudi said: “I feel like, I don’t have what they have. I just don’t know if I want to do … music, drop albums for too much longer.”
But Cudi has come up with an alternative career.
Speaking on ‘Hot Ones’ on YouTube channel ‘First We Feast’, he added: “I’m really curious to see what else I can do.
“I was thinking about this, this is like a wacky idea I had years ago.
“It would be cool to one day be a kindergarten teacher.
“Just do that for a couple years. When I’m like 50 … infect the youth with that freshness. Then those kids will sprinkle the freshness to the world.”
In 2012, Cudi admitted he was an “aspiring kindergarten teacher”.
He wrote on Twitter at the time: “Cudder Fact: Im a silent conspiracy theorist and anarchist. As well as an aspiring kindergarten teacher ha (sic)”
The ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ hitmaker recently admitted he is “really proud” of his mental health journey.
The star – who has previously battled depression and suicidal thoughts – said: “Even if touring stuff wasn’t going swimmingly and, and all this stuff wasn’t happening, I would still be in a great place.
“It’s always a lot when you go on the road. But I’ve been in such a great space and so happy with everything that’s been going on and, I’m proud of myself, man. Like, I’m just really proud of myself. More than I’ve ever been in my life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Yungblud has a “full psychedelic rock album” ready and waiting to be released.
The ‘Fleabag’ rocker is sitting on the collection and wants to release it in one go without any singles.
He told Billy Corgan’s ‘Thirty-Three With William Patrick Corgan’ podcast: “I’ve got another album – I don’t know when it’s going to come out,” Harrison said. “It was [recorded around] New Year’s Day 2021… we made a full psychedelic rock album in a month and it’s just sitting there, and I don’t know when it will come out yet.”
He continued: “I just want to kind of drop it and let it be a thing. I don’t want to work a psychedelic rock album. There’s no singles, just one kind of feeling the whole way through that I just want to drop at some point.
“Everyone is going to ask me what the single is – I just want to let it be.”
Last month, Yungblud teased that his next album is synth-heavy.
The ‘Funeral’ star’s follow-up to his recently released self-titled LP is influenced by synth pioneers Joy Division and post-punk icons The Smiths.
The musician – whose real name is Dom Harrison – said: “I’ve already started on album four which has a lot more synths, it’s very Joy Division with a bit of The Smiths, definitely more in that direction.
“That’s where I’m going because album four is very much with ambition to headline festivals all over the world.”
The 25-year-old musician’s latest LP is deeply personal, hence being named ‘YUNGBLUD’.
He explained: “In the past my music has been an uncensored representation of the f****** world and what I believe about the world, even if I disagree with myself later.
“It’s always about that person’s story, sexuality, politics, Brexit etc.
“This album is very much about the ‘I.’
“‘I think I’m going mad.’
‘I’ve been dancing at the funeral.’
“And it’s allowing people to put those words in their mouths.”
Yungblud recently insisted he wishes not to be “defined” as he compared himself to the likes of the late, great David Bowie and Lady Gaga.
He said: “I’ve heard, ‘Yungblud’s saving rock music, Yungblud is a punk and Yungblud is a queer icon’.
“Well, I’m not. I’m just f****** me. Like David Bowie and Lady Gaga, I can’t be defined. Yungblud is about freedom and I am finally free after making this album.”

OHMYGOSSIP — P!nk has announced six major outdoor UK shows as part of her Summer Carnival 2023.
The pop megastar kicks off the run with two nights at the University of Bolton Stadium on June 7 and June 8, followed by a pair of gigs at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on June 10 and June 11.
The ‘So What’ hitmaker will then play Birmingham’s Villa Park on June 14, before headlining American Express Presents BST Hyde Park in London on June 24.
The Grammy winner was last in the UK when she brought her ‘Beautiful Trauma World Tour’ this side of the pond in 2019.
She said: “It’s been a long three years and I’ve missed live music so so much…. So it’s finally time! I am so excited to get back to the UK and Europe to sing, cry, sweat and make new memories with my friends. It’s going to be magical!”
Special guests will be announced in due course.
P!nk joins Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Billy Joel as the other headliners already confirmed for next summer’s BST series.
Tickets for the six shows go on sale at 10 am on October 14 via Ticketmaster.
Meanwhile, P!nk stole the show at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in Los Angeles last week, joining Queen and Foo Fighters for a rousing cover of ‘Somebody To Love’.
The ‘Trouble’ hitmaker belted out the rock anthem that was adored by the late drummer – who tragically died aged 50 in March – with Dave Grohl and co and Queen’s very own Brian May and Roger Taylor at the Kia Forum on September 27.
P!nk also performed Foo Fighters’ ‘The Pretender’ and duetted with Heart’s Nancy Wilson on ‘Barracuda’.
Taking to her Instagram Story after her set, Pink wrote: “Hate why we were there – but I love that we were all together.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs is returning with his first album in four years, ‘Marry Me’.
The pop star recently signed to EMI Records, and he’s just shared the reggae-tinged lead single from his long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s ‘You Know I Know’, ‘Die Of A Broken Heart’.
He said of the song: “It has that steel drum at the intro, which just gets in your head straight away. It has a very Gotye, ‘Somebody I Used to Know’ feel to it, with a touch of The Police – and just a coolness to it. That really excited me.”
The 38-year-old star is once again eyeing a return to the charts after teaming up with BTS songwriters David Stewart and Jessica Agombar.
He said: “I’ve never done this before. It felt weird writing with the same people constantly. But I loved the routine, and the consistency. We just kept writing good songs. They had a great vibe and an enthusiasm, and a hunger.”
The ‘X Factor’ alum’s last album made it to number two in the Official UK Albums Chart.
As the LP’s title suggests, there are songs about his bodybuilder fiancée Amelia Tank, who he asked to be his wife in the summer, including the emotional ‘I Found Her’.
The ‘Heart Skips a Beat’ hitmaker is also set to embark on a UK arena tour next year, kicking off on April 21 in Glasgow.
‘Marry Me’ is released on December 2.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith’s unreleased Prince documentary is to “finally see the light”.
The 52-year-old director has revealed the access-all-areas film he made before the late music icon’s death in April 2016, at the age of 57, from an accidental fentanyl overdose, is going to be released eventually.
The ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ helmer spent hours chatting to the ‘Raspberry Beret’ hitmaker at his Paisley Park Estate for the project.
The collaboration came about after Prince had rejected the movie maker’s request to use his hit ‘The Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ in Kevin’s 2001 buddy comedy ‘Jay and the Silent Bob Strike Back’.
During ‘An Evening with Kevin Smith’, Kevin recalled: “We were trying to get a Prince song for ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ … we were trying to get Prince’s ‘The Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ but we couldn’t get any response back from him.”
However, Kevin would later get a call from Prince, who said he was a huge fan of his 1999 flick ‘Dogma’, and asked if he would work with him on a concert film.
Prince told him: “I have this thing where I’m gonna debut my new album for a bunch of fans … I want to make a movie that we can bring to the Cannes Film Festival.”
In a new interview, the comedian has given an update on the film and revealed it’s looking likely it will get a release date.
He told The Guardian when asked what the chances are of the doc coming to screens: “Very high. The director of ‘OJ: Made in America’ is making a documentary for Netflix, and came to the house to interview me. When they went to the vaults after Prince died, they found so much unreleased music and so many music videos, but the only footage of him talking was what I shot. It’s extraordinary: he acts differently to how he ever acted in his entire life, and he talks for hours and hours. It looks like it’s finally going to see the light.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Norman believes Tony Hadley would reunite for a tour with Spandau Ballet if the right deal was offered.
Despite pleas from ex-bandmate Gary Kemp, 62, to re-join the iconic New Romantic group – completed by Martin Kemp, 60, and John Keeble, 63 – the 62-year-old musician, who quit as lead singer in July 2017, has insisted he wants nothing more to do with the band.
However, 62-year-old saxophonist Steve admits he’s hopeful that one day they can have “closure” on the ‘Gold’ band as they’ve never officially split up, and do a tour with their former lead singer.
He told the Daily Star: “The tragic thing is, we’ve never had closure.
“We never said we split up. We never had closure for the fans, but also ourselves. How about doing one last tour? A world tour. The Farewell Tour? Then call it a day.
“It’s all left up in the air and Tony left, but I’m sure if the deal was on the table and it was the right one, he’d come back for a tour.”
Steve – who is touring with his band The Sleevz – admits it’s a shame there are “stupid grudges” and “bitterness” and he just wants Spandau to end in harmony.
The multi-instrumentalist added: “It would be wave goodbye to each other and pat each other on the back, give each other a hug.
“Life is too short. Which is why I get on with Spandau.
“I’ve got great memories of all the time I spent with my best mates. That is far more important than all these stupid grudges, bitterness.”
Martin previously insisted Spandau is over until Tony returns.
He said in 2019: “Until Tony comes back … until the five of us come back. It’s not just Tony, all five of us. Listen, my band is so volatile, one minute we are the best friends then we fall out, it has always been that way.
“I would love it to happen because it is part of me it is part of my soul. But it means all five of us saying yes at the same time.”
Tony was briefly replaced by disgraced singer Ross William Wild in 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hans Zimmer’s famous movie soundtracks have been reimagined for a new double album.
The legendary composer, 65, has unveiled the collection ‘Hans Zimmer LIVE’, due on March 3, 2023, which features “more than two hours of new reimagined arrangements of some of the most popular compositions.”
The scores are from blockbusters such as ‘Dune’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘X Men: Dark Phoenix’, ‘Dunkirk’, ‘Gladiator’, ‘Inception’, ‘Interstellar’, ‘The Last Samurai’, ‘No Time to Die’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and more.
The production was completed over 10 nights, with friend and producer, Stephen Lipson.
Today (07.10.22), Hans has shared ‘The Last Samurai Suite’.
He said: “I simply wanted to produce the best album.
“I wanted to create an opportunity for the music to breathe a little differently, in its own context. For this adventure, I am thrilled to have been joined by the greatest possible team of collaborators.”
The songs feature the 20-piece band The Disruptive Collective, made up of long-time collaborators and the Odessa Opera Orchestra and Choir, such as Lisa Gerrard (‘Gladiator’), Lebo M. (‘The Lion King’) and Loire Cutler (‘X Men: Dark Phoenix’), cellist Tina Guo (‘Wonder Woman’) and Nick Glennie-Smith (musical director of the band), to name but a few.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding has released her Alok and Sigala collaboration ‘All By Myself’.
The dance-pop record features a sample of electronic music pioneers Depeche Mode’s iconic late-90s hit ‘Enjoy The Silence’.
Ellie commented: “It was such an incredible experience to work with Alok and Sigala on this new track – they’re both such unique and amazing artists and coming together was a delight. I hope this song gives people the self-love and power that I felt when writing it. We need to make sure we’re loving and taking care of ourselves so we can receive the same from those around us.”
Depeche – Dave Gahan and Martin Gore – were big fans of the tune and didn’t take much persuasion to offer their seal of approval.
Alok said: “It was a pleasure to work with Ellie and Sigala on this track and such a huge honour that the electronic music pioneers Depeche Mode liked it enough to give us the legendary ‘Enjoy The Silence’ sample and let us officially release it. We are all so thrilled with how it came out!”
Sigala added: “Such a pleasure to work with such talented individuals, I’ve been wanting to work with Ellie for a while so it’s great to finally collaborate.”
Ellie revealed this week that she ditched ballads on her upcoming record.
The 35-year-old singer’s hit love songs include ‘Still Falling For You’ from the ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ soundtrack and ‘Love Me Like You Do’ from the erotic rom-com ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
However, the ‘Easy Lover’ hitmaker has noticed a shift in people’s music tastes post-pandemic, with most favouring upbeat dance tunes – so fans can expect just that on her follow-up to 2020’s ‘Brightest Blue’.
She said: “No-one seems to be into ballads at the moment post-pandemic.
“People want to make music to move to. That’s basically what my new album sounds like.”
The ‘I Need Your Love’ hitmaker recently said of her return to her electronic dance-pop roots: “I spent a lot of time by myself, quite introspective. I had a backlog of things I wanted to write about.
“It was quite deep and emotional. And this album is the opposite of that. I found this dream team of writers, who just for some reason, without even having to talk about it, were all on the same page. Together we’re on this mission just to have fun. We just want to make music for people to dance to and forget about everything in the past year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in Liverpool.
Graham Norton, 59, made the announcement on BBC One’s The One Show on Friday (07.10.22) after the city and Glasgow were named earlier this month as joint finalists to host the contest.
The BBC’s Eurovision host Graham said: “The city that will host the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 is Liverpool.”
He also told viewers “pop that in your calendar”, and hailed the UK’s 2022 runner-up Sam Ryder for removing “the curse of Eurovision” for Britain.
Even though Ukraine’s entry the Kalush Orchestra won at 2022’s Eurovision, held in Turin, Italy, event producers the European Broadcasting Union decided it could not safely be held in the country amid Russia’s continued bombardment of the country.
The group said in a statement about the 2023 announcement: “We are very pleased that next year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Liverpool.
“Though we haven’t had the privilege of visiting yet, the musical heritage of the city is known all over the world.
“Playing in the same place that The Beatles started out will be a moment we’ll never forget!
“Although we are sad that next year’s competition cannot take place in our homeland, we know that the people of Liverpool will be warm hosts and the organisers will be able to add a real Ukrainian flavour to Eurovision 2023 in this city.”
Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Steve Rotheram said: “While we came up against stiff competition from Glasgow, who deserve more than the nil points they have received on this occasion, nowhere is more experienced or qualified, and nowhere throws a party quite like we do.
“We want to put on a show that Ukraine would be proud of, and we have been working closely with Liverpool’s sister city of Odesa to ensure that this is their event as much as our own.
“Now the hard work begins. Putting on a show that will give millions a night they will never forget in one of the most turbulent and trying years for our continent is no mean feat.
“If anywhere is capable of it, it is the Liverpool City Region, with a little help from our friends in Ukraine.”
Britain got the chance to host the event, which will be held in May next year, for the ninth time after its 2022 entrant Sam Ryder, 33, came second in the competition with his ‘Space Man’ song.

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs’ new album was inspired by his fiancee Amelia Tank.
The 38-year-old singer/songwriter revealed that his partner inspired most of the tracks on his upcoming record ‘Marry Me’ and it was “fun” to pen songs about their relationship.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I didn’t know how much fun it would be to write about me and Amelia a little bit — it’s not all about us, but there is an element of Amelia in each song which I can relate to and she can relate to.
“It is great to have a moment in my life where I feel so content at home and so happy.
“Things are in the best possible place they could be — at least until you start talking wedding plans which is stressful as hell. But now I am just concentrating on work again and I have nothing to worry about at home. It is so settled and lovely.”
Olly will release his new record in December after recently signing with EMI Records and he is eyeing a return to the charts after teaming up with BTS songwriters David Stewart and Jessica Agombar.
He said: “I’ve never done this before. It felt weird writing with the same people constantly. But I loved the routine, and the consistency. We just kept writing good songs. They had a great vibe and an enthusiasm, and a hunger.”
The ‘X Factor’ alum’s last album made it to number two in the Official UK Albums Chart.
‘Marry Me’ is released on December 2.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kimberley Walsh says being in Girls Aloud made her more conscious of her looks.
The 40-year-old singer has insisted no one ever forced herself and her bandmates – Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and the late Sarah Harding – to look a certain way, but she always felt she need to place precedent on her appearance.
She told new! magazine: “Nobody ever put that demand on us, but we all knew the reality of being in a band was to look a certain way.
“I was doing what any other 20-year-old would do, trying to keep on top of their weight and health and fitness, but it escalated more because I was in a band.”
Meanwhile, Girls Aloud will not sing together in tribute to Sarah when they reunite at a charity gala in memory of their late bandmate.
Kimberley admitted earlier this week that it would not “feel right” for them to perform as a band on stage at The Primrose Ball event on Saturday (08.10.22).
Instead of singing together, the band have invited Years and Years star Olly Alexander, 32, to perform, along with Sarah’s St Trinian’s movie co-star Ricky Wilson, 44, and 71-year-old singer Chrissie Hynde.
The show – Sarah’s dying wish – comes a year after she lost her battle with breast cancer, aged 39, two years after her tragic diagnosis.
Kimberley said: “It doesn’t feel right without her. We miss her so much. It’s just so hard to get your head around it – to realise that she’s gone.”
The gig will raise money for a study headed by Sarah’s oncologist analysing why so many women are suffering from breast cancer at a young age.
Mum-of-three Kimberley added: “It feels good to be doing something that she wanted and something positive.
“That’s what’s important. What I’ve found hard is people moving on with their lives and Sarah not being here.
“That’s hard because for her friends and family, we are always thinking about her. Nothing can bring her back but, with the gala and the walk, she is involved in our daily lives and that feels special.”
The Primrose Ball, at The Londoner hotel, will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and include a live charity auction.
It was named after Girls Aloud’s single ‘The Promise’, which includes Sarah singing the line: “Here I am, walking primrose.”
