OHMYGOSSIP — Joss Stone will play the iconic London Palladium on March 7, as part of the ‘20 Years of Soul’ tour.
The ‘Right to be Wrong’ hitmaker will mark the 20th anniversary of her platinum-selling debut studio album ‘The Soul Sessions’ with a stop off at the legendary concert hall and other dates, TBC, in February and March next year.
Joss said: “I am so excited to play London again. I always love playing at home in the UK.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Super Duper Love’ hitmaker is hoping to bag this year’s Christmas Number One.
The 35-year-old pop star, who launched a comeback earlier this year with the album ‘Never Forget My Love’, is hoping her festive record ‘Merry Christmas, Love’ will take the top spot this festive season.
Asked how she felt about the possibility of topping the charts, she said: “Wouldn’t that be nice? If I had one Christmas wish!”
Meanwhile, Joss – who returned to the spotlight after winning ‘The Masked Singer’ in 2021 – recently revealed she is keen to pen tunes for other artists.
She added: “My dream is to write for other singers. I can do that from home. So I could drop Violet at school, come home, write some songs and go pick her up. That’s what I would love.
“If I can set my life up like that, that would be perfect.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish is working on her new album.
The ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker has started writing her highly anticipated third record – the follow-up to last year’s collection ‘Happier Than Ever’ – with her brother and collaborator Finneas.
Asked if they have been working together recently, she told Vanity Fair magazine: “We see each other all the time, and also now, we’re starting to make music again.
“We just started the process of making an album, which is really exciting.”
The 20-year-old singer revealed they even have a set schedule now where they meet up, and she admitted it’s nice on a personal level too.
She added: “Now we have specific days where we see each other, which is really nice because, you know, you get caught up in life.
“I’m hanging out with my brother a lot, actually. It’s my buddy!”
It’s not known what direction Billie and Finneas are taking with the new material, or when fans will get to hear any of the songs.
Meanwhile, last month the pop star admitted she was surprised to find out that people thought her music was “depressing”, as she never consider her tunes to have that vibe.
She said: “It was so weird to me when I was first coming up and, and the thing everybody said was, like, ‘Billie Eilish’s music is so depressing, and it’s so sad, and it’s too dark.’
“I was like, ‘What are you talking about? Have you listened to The Beatles and ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ and ‘Yesterday’, and Lana Del Rey? Like, what the hell?’”
Instead, she suggested her hits – including the likes of ‘Everything I Wanted’ and ‘Happier Than Ever’ – are simply examples of lyrics that are “real”.
She added: “It was so surprising to me that people thought anything I was creating was dark. I mean, it’s real.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy says making his latest album was like “having therapy”.
The 29-year-old rapper released his third studio album, ‘This Is What I Mean’, last week, and admitted it was the first time the creative process of making a record felt like a therapy session.
He said: “It felt very refreshing and it felt therapeutic.
“A lot of artists say that it felt like therapy but it’s never really felt like that for me. I don’t know why but when I’ve heard artists talk about that I’m like ‘Ah that’s interesting’.
“For me, it’s just always been something I do and something I love but it’s never felt like going in and having therapy.
“And I think this time, it did feel like that, it felt like I had to be really still and be really self-reflective.”
But Stormzy also admitted making the album was “really stressful” at times.
During a stint as a guest co-host on Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio 2 show, he added: “In hindsight, there were times when it was really stressful.
“So my memory of the camp, it was really beautiful, we went away, we made the album, but when I get into the intricate details of it there was a really stressful time and a time when everything was weighing quite heavy.”
Last week, Stormzy asked people to listen to his new album with an “open heart”.
In a letter to accompany the release, he wrote: “I feel like I overshare, which makes me feel naked at times.
“But I do it so that you guys can understand me a bit better and to give the art that I make some context.
“People been tryna to box me in for years but I hope this chapter at least makes my biggest critic say, ‘Hey, he’s s*** but he loves music and I guess he’s gonna do whatever he likes.’ Lol.
“I pray you listen to this album with an open heart and if you hate it after I promise to God I’m perfectly fine with that, I’m just grateful you listened with openness. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy has praised Adele’s Las Vegas show as “the best” he has ever seen.
The 29-year-old rapper was in the audience when the ‘Easy on Me’ hitmaker kicked off her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last weekend and he has heaped praise on the “spectacular” concert.
He gushed: “That was amazing. Honestly, probably the best show I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot of shows.
“In terms of the intimacy of it. It was very like… you’re in there but it’s like a small theatre but it’s f****** Adele.
“It’s got all the glitz and glamour like a massive arena show, but it’s in a small place and it’s kind of like, wonderful. Beautiful and spectacular and glamorous… I was like, chefs kiss.”
The pair are good friends but the ‘Vossi Bop’ hitmaker recalled being “extremely starstruck” when Adele came to watch him perform.
Speaking on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, he said: “I’ve always been a big fan. She came to my London show and I was very, very starstruck. Extremely starstruck.
“I remember I was like, ‘Can I hug you? Oh, can I hug you again?’ I probably asked about three/ four times. She’s lovely.”
But despite their closeness, Stormzy doesn’t think a collaboration is on the cards because the ‘Hello’ signer is in a different “league”.
Asked if he’d like to duet with Adele, he laughed and said: “Come on man, know what I mean.
“I wish, I wish… you’ve got to… there’s leagues and levels. Are you f****** joking.”
The ‘Mel Made Me Do It’ singer recently met Taylor Swift at the MTV EMAs and he was delighted to get some advice from the “lovely” star.
He said: “I met Taylor, she’s lovely. She’s amazing. She was just so lovely. We all left and looked at everyone like, ‘How f****** nice is she?’
“We spoke for like an hour, she was lovely, had advice, you know when you’re just kind of like, ‘Ah, you’re just amazing.’ I’m a fan though.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pusha T’s European and UK tour has been postponed to 2023, due to “production issues”.
The rap superstar’s ‘It’s Almost Dry’ jaunt was due to kick off on November 30 in Zurich, Germany, and included a stop at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on December 19.
Concert promoter MCD Productions announced the delay in the following social media statement: “The Pusha T tour is postponed to 2023 due to production issues, as we want to bring you the best show possible. Hold on to your tickets for news of rescheduled dates ASAP.”
A new set of dates for next year are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Pusha has had some serious beef with McDonald’s, releasing a pair of diss tracks aimed at the fast food company earlier this year.
The first was ‘Spicy Fish Diss Track’ in partnership with sandwich restaurant chain Arby’s.
Poking fun at their fish meal, he raps: “Fillet-O-Fish is s*** and you should be disgusted, how dare you sell a square fish, asking us to trust it.”
Then followed ‘Rib Roast’, which took aim at McDonald’s McRibs.
Giving the meal a good roasting, he spits: “McDonald’s what you selling? Mystery meat?/ Pop up and go away, what does history teach?
“Mickey D’s McRib, you ain’t it in the streets.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has released a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s 1971 posthumous tune ‘Angel’ to mark the late guitar legend’s 80th birthday.
The former One Direction star, 29, has been praised by the Hendrix estate, who approved the cover in a bid to bring the Seattle hero’s music to a new generation.
He even used the original music with Hendrix’s guitar to accompany his velvety voice.
Experience Hendrix told Billboard: “We are pleased that Zayn has been inspired to use original music from Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Angel’ in his recording of the song.
“We’re hopeful that this version of a Hendrix classic will enlighten a new generation of listeners about Jimi’s genius and further propel his continuing legacy.”
It marks Zayn’s first release of 2022.
Hendrix’s birthday is on November 27.
He tragically choked on his own vomit and died at the age of just 27 in September 1970, becoming one of the first rock stars to join the cult 27 Club.
Earlier this year, Hendrix was honoured with a new Blue Plaque in London.
The Hard Rock Hotel in Marble Arch was formerly the Cumberland Hotel, the ‘Purple Haze’ hitmaker’s last residence before his death.
Jimi’s sister Janie Hendrix said at the time: “I’m so proud of my brother Jimi and his being honoured again in London. His mission was to spread love across the world through his music, and we continue to see that come to fruition all these years later.”
The first Blue Plaque in his honour was installed at his Mayfair residence – which he lived at between 1968 and 1969 – in 1997.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy has released his third studio album and asked everyone to listen to it with an “open heart”.
The London rapper has penned a letter to accompany the release of ‘This Is What I Mean’, in which he addresses his critics and says all he can hope for is that the deeply personal record is given a chance whether they end up liking it or not.
He wrote: “I feel like I overshare, which makes me feel naked at times.
“But I do it so that you guys can understand me a bit better and to give the art that I make some context.”
The ‘Own It’ star insists he doesn’t care if the record is hated.
He admitted: “People been tryna to box me in for years but I hope this chapter at least makes my biggest critic say, ‘Hey, he’s s*** but he loves music and I guess he’s gonna do whatever he likes.’ Lol. (sic)”
Stormzy said: “I pray you listen to this album with an open heart and if you hate it after I promise to God I’m perfectly fine with that, I’m just grateful you listened with openness.”
His only wish is that people are moved by the lyrics in some way.
He concluded: “I pray that it moves you and captures your imagination and I pray that someone, somewhere feels it.”
Stormzy recently said that having at least one person “feel” his music is an achievement.
He shared: “I’ve never been this excited for new music. I’ve never felt so proud and confident in the art I’ve made.
“And the beautiful thing about it is that it’s … all my confidence and all my pride comes from the art. It doesn’t come from who people may think I am or what I’ve achieved – it’s none of that. It’s just a, ‘Yo, we’ve made something really beautiful, really special’. Something that people will feel, you know what I mean?
“When people ask me what I want to achieve, I’m just like, ‘I want people to feel it’. Whether it’s one person, whether it’s 20 million people, whether it’s 200 – I don’t mind. Just, I want someone to feel it, and I have a lot of confidence in that when people hear this, they’ll feel it.”
Stormzy didn’t have any premeditated ideas about his new album before he walked in the recording studio, however, he now looks at it as a “soul” album.
He explained: “I keep calling it a soul album.
“I don’t call it a soul album in the sense like Aretha Franklin or like a genre. It’s just something that came from my soul, which sounds really cheesy, but that’s the only way I can describe it.
“People say is it a rap album, is it a grime album, is it a gospel album. I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just feelings that came out from my soul’. Yeah, we’ve just made something that I hope touches someone else’s soul, do you know what I mean?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams’ songwriter Guy Chambers is aiming for Christmas number one with his X-rated festive song, ‘Thank F*** It’s Christmas’.
The 59-year-old record producer doesn’t hold back, taking aim at the likes of Elon Musk and the government on the loaded Yuletide cut.
A mystery vocalist, who goes by the name ‘Trickster’, sings: “Interest rates are rising fast
“There’s monkeypox with COVID and SARS
“And strange smooth faced multi-billionaires
“Trying to build a house on Jupiter or Mars
“When all this looks so very, very bleak
“I’ll hold my head up and I’ll shriek
“Thank f*** it’s Christmas.”
Guy said: “It was an interesting challenge to write a Christmas song that reflects the tensions and stresses that we are currently living under, but with ‘Thank F*** It’s Christmas’ I think we’ve achieved it.”
Ian Maclay of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra added: “It was great to work with Guy Chambers who is such a respected and legendary figure in the music business, and we hope that this recording receives the attention it deserves.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs has released his latest single ‘I Hate You When You’re Drunk’.
The former ‘X Factor’ star has penned a relatable tune about being the sober one on a boozy night out.
He sings: “Oh you got them drunken eyes, should we call it a night?
‘Cause you’ve been tellin’ stories four-five times.
“Yeah, I’ve heard it before and my ears are bleedin’ (Woah-oh, oh-oh)
Oh I hate you, hate you, I hate you, hate you when you’re drunk.”
He said in a statement: “I thought it was a fun song to write as there have been so many times where a friend, family member or loved one has had one too many.
“It’s a light-hearted take from the sober person’s point of view. We all know someone!!!!”
It’s the second single taken from Olly’s first album in four years, ‘Marry Me’, and follows last month’s ‘Die of a Broken Heart’.
The upcoming album is inspired by the singer’s fiancée Amelia Tank.
The 38-year-old singer/songwriter revealed that his partner inspired most of the tracks and it was “fun” to pen songs about their relationship.
He said in a recent interview: “I didn’t know how much fun it would be to write about me and Amelia a little bit — it’s not all about us, but there is an element of Amelia in each song which I can relate to and she can relate to.
“It is great to have a moment in my life where I feel so content at home and so happy.
“Things are in the best possible place they could be — at least until you start talking wedding plans which is stressful as hell. But now I am just concentrating on work again and I have nothing to worry about at home. It is so settled and lovely.”
Olly will release his new record on December 2, after recently signing with EMI Records and he is eyeing a return to the charts after teaming up with BTS songwriters David Stewart and Jessica Agombar.
He said: “I’ve never done this before. It felt weird writing with the same people constantly. But I loved the routine and the consistency. We just kept writing good songs. They had a great vibe and an enthusiasm, and a hunger.”
His album, 2018’s ‘You Know I Know’ made it to number two in the Official UK Albums Chart.

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS star RM has recruited Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak and Mahalia for his debut solo album, ‘Indigo’.
The 28-year-old rapper has unveiled the starry list of collaborators on the eagerly-awaited 10-track LP, which arrives on December 2.
The legendary Erykah appears on the opening track ‘Yun’, followed by hip-hop star Anderson on ‘Still Life’, while R’n’B British-Jamaican star Mahalia is joined by K Hip Hop star Paul Blanco on ‘Closer’.
RM’s music will continue to serve as his diary entries.
He explained recently: “I had fun working on music, I think it will be completely different from ‘Mono’.
“If ‘Mono’ recorded my 2016 to ’18, then I think this new album serves as my diary and archive for 2019 to ’22.”
He released two mixtapes, 2015’s ‘RM’ and 2018’s ‘Mono’.
RM recently joined forces with fellow Korean outfit Balming Tiger on the tune ‘Sexy Nukim’.
Meanwhile, his bandmate Jin recently broke a record with his hit ‘The Astronaut’ becoming the fastest single by a solo artist to reach a million sales.
After the K-Pop boy band collaborated with Chris Martin and co on the mega-hit ‘My Universe’ on the band’s 2021 LP ‘Music of the Spheres’, the 29-year-old star teamed up with the ‘Yellow’ hitmakers to pen the his latest track, and it’s had astronomical success.
According to The Korea Economic Daily, ‘The Astronaut’ shifted more than 1,024,382 copies as of November 12.
As well as adding to the lyrics, Coldplay play on the track and Chris plays a news presenter in the accompanying music video.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard doesn’t do long tours because of the “strain” on his vocal cords.
The 82-year-old music legend will embark on ‘The Blue Sapphire Tour’ next November, eight shows kicking off with a mini-residency at the London Eventim Apollo between November 6 and 12.
He said: “It’s not a very long tour. The heavy touring is a real strain, particularly on the vocal cords. You wake up in the morning hoping your voice will be OK for tonight so that’s a stressful thing, so I’m only doing about eight concerts next year and it’ll be fun. I like it and it’s nice to be in front of the public. It’s a mutual love.
“You’ve got to be a bit dignified when you’re 82.”
Cliff would never want to “retire” from music because he wouldn’t want to make a “comeback” if he decided to make a U-turn.
He explained: “Stop is a good word. I might stop one day. I don’t want to retire. Once you’ve retired you feel you’ve got to stay away and if you do want to do something it’s called a comeback. And every time I hear somebody has done a comeback I’m thinking they’ve run out of money.
“Recording is so much fun, if I could record every day of my life I would. It’s always a challenge because every time you do an album, there is something different about it.”
The ‘Devil Woman’ hitmaker has, today (25.11.22), released his first festive album in almost 20 years, and he was thrilled to record it at the same studio as his idols the Bee Gees.
He told Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2 of his latest Yuletide collection ‘Christmas with Cliff’: “It’s a fun album and I hope people like it. Unusually, I used two producers because I wanted to have a dynamic… and they gave it to me. They were fantastic producers – different styles of music but connected because of Christmas.
“The backing tracks were done in LA and I put my voice on in Miami. I found a studio the Bee Gees used to use and I’m a big fan of the Bee Gees so I said, ‘Yeah, lets do it there’.”
The record has been released in the magazine format in a bid to get CDs back in supermarkets.
It comes with the full 13-track CD and a 20-page magazine “dedicated to the album and Cliff’s love of Christmas”, and is eligible in the charts.
Cliff said: “I have had many firsts in my career, but have never had an album released in a magazine format, it’s like Christmas has come early for me. Music means so much to us all and to ensure it is available to all no matter who they are or what age they are is important. This format has enabled me to share my love of Christmas and a few personal memories, so I’m delighted that I can share these with you in such a beautiful way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy raps about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex on his new album.
The 29-year-old rapper has just released his third album ‘This Is What I Mean’ and on the track ‘Please’, he references the criticism Meghan has received since she tied the knot with Prince Harry.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, he said: “Please could you lower your tone, please could you get off my phone — and please leave Meghan alone.
“I said please leave Meghan alone, it cuts deep that deep when your house was never your home.
“You want to speak but it’s best that you don’t, under pressure we fold, best believe we’re protecting your throne.”
He also appears to reference Meghan’s public falling out with her father Thomas Markle, comparing it to his own estrangement from his father.
He raps: “Please lord give me the strength to forgive my dad because he is flawed and so am I, so who I am to not  . . . to not forgive a man who tries.
“I see his soul, I know it cries.”
Meanwhile, Stormzy previously defended Meghan, 41, as a “sweet woman”, claiming that people “hate her” for no reason.
He said: “I’m not super into the Royal Family but Meghan is a sweet woman, lovely, she does her thing. I haven’t heard her say anything crazy and they just hate her.”
The star insisted there’s no “credible” reasons for people to dislike Meghan and thinks the negativity just comes from an “obsession with the Royal Family”.
He added: “If I told someone write a list as to why you hate Meghan Markle, the list is rubbish. There’s nothing credible to it but there’s an obsession with the Royal Family.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Keuning has admitted The Killers felt a “ton of pressure” to top their debut studio album ‘Hot Fuss’.
The Brandon Flowers-fronted band achieved four commercial hits: ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’ and ‘Smile Like You Mean It’.
And guitarist Dave admits there was a lot riding on the success of the lead single, ‘When We Were Young’, from their follow-up LP, 2006’s ‘Sam’s Town’, which ended up giving them their first number one in the US.
Speaking to Guitar Player magazine, Dave said: “This song has a lot of sentimental value to us, because it was one that we all really liked and contribute equally to.
“I’m also not really sure where our career would be without it. It was the first single from our second album, and there was a ton of pressure to build on the success from our debut.
“Actually, the record company wasn’t sure it should’ve been the first single, but thankfully it did really well.”
The Killers have a new album on the way next year.
The band have been working on a follow up to 2021’s ‘Pressure Machine’ and they are planning to drop it in 2023.
Frontman Brandon said in the summer “We just had a few days off and Stuart [Price, producer] came and visited us on the road. We’re sending things back and forth, and ideas. I’m talking with Shawn Everett [producer] too, and it’s nice to have that combo.
“A full record will probably be early next year but there will definitely be some singles this year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams wants to collaborate with Wet Leg.
The 48-year-old star is a huge fan of the ‘Chaise Longue’ hitmakers but is worried they would not want to work on new music with him because of his age.
Speaking on Italian radio, Robbie said: “I like this band called Wet Leg. I’d really like to work with them. I don’t know if they’d like to work with me.”
Robbie, who released the album ‘XXV’ earlier this year, also revealed that he has big plans for 2023 that do not include music.
He said: “My long-term goals are many and varied. I want to build a hotel. I want to start a chain of stores. I’ve got some clothing that I’m going to be doing.
“I’ve written a TV show . . .  There’s the film coming out. I’m so busy but I’m super-grateful these things keep happening to me.”
Meanwhile, Robbie recently defended his decision to perform in Qatar during the World Cup, despite the international community’s criticism of the country’s ban on homosexuality.
He said: “Of course, I don’t condone any abuses of human rights anywhere.
“That being said, if we’re not condoning human rights abuses anywhere, then it would be the shortest tour the world has ever known. I wouldn’t even be able to perform in my own kitchen.
“Anybody leaving messages saying ‘no to Qatar’ are doing so on Chinese technology. It would be hypocritical of me to not go [to Qatar] because of the places that I do go to.
“I think that the hypocrisy there is that if we take that case in this place, we need to apply that unilaterally to the world. .. Then if we apply that unilaterally to the world, nobody can go anywhere.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Trent Reznor says it is “liberating” not being “the boss” working on film scores.
The Nine Inch Nails frontman enjoys being the “person in the corner” working away helping to “enhance” someone else’s baby.
He told Under the Radar magazine: “Film scoring is me as a musician trying to collaborate and help tell someone else’s story.
“After I did a few, I realised it felt really good not to be the boss.
“It felt liberating , to be like, ‘My job is to be the best I can over in this corner and see how I can enhance this thing and put my ego on the side.”
Trent and his writing partner Atticus Ross won the Oscar for Best Original Score for 2010’s ‘The Social Network’.
The duo went on to win their second Academy Award for Best Original Score for the 2020 Pixar film ‘Soul’.
Meanwhile, Trent revealed he is quitting Twitter as the “toxic environment” is not good for his mental health.
The 57-year-old rocker admits Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the social media site was the final nail in the coffin for his departure from the app.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “We don’t need the arrogance of the billionaire class to feel like they can just come in and solve everything.
“Even without him involved, I just find that it has become such a toxic environment. For my mental health, I need to tune out. I don’t feel good being there anymore.”

OHMYGOSSIP — George Ezra thinks about festival crowds when working on new music.
The ‘Green Green Grass’ hitmaker feels “at home” performing in a field amongst a wide range of artists and because his songs always go down well in the environment, he thinks about how new tracks would come across in a live setting when he’s in the recording studio.
Speaking to Harriet Scott on stage at Magic Radio’s Magic of Christmas show in London on Saturday (26.11.22) afternoon, he said: “With every show you do, especially at the beginning, you start to learn what you’re a part of, and it was obvious early on that we were so at home at festivals, and then when you go back to the studio, of course that’s in your mind to some degree, that’s where the music is. So festivals and live performances, that’s what we look forward to.”
George – who is one of the performers at next year’s Isle of Wight festival – admitted he is particularly excited about the 2023 festival season.
He said: “This is my third record, we’re looking forward to it, especially what came before, with the two years and not being able to do it, we’re all just looking forward to it…
“We did a few last year but not so many so I’m excited for festival season next year.”
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old singer admitted he is looking forward to a “calm and chilled” Christmas.
He said: “It’s quite calm and chilled at home, we don’t do much, it’s relaxed, but it’s lovely.
“I won’t be cooking, I won’t be playing guitar, I’m just there for moral support.”
George recently admitted he would consider walking away from the spotlight once he’s turned 30.
He said: “This might be a conversation for another time, but I don’t feel an urge or want to continue operating in the way we do at the minute. And that’s not a rebellion, it’s just how I feel. Like, ‘Cool, that was a thing.’
“The last date lands around April next year. Then it’s festival season, then it’s my 30th, and you think, ‘Well, what an amazing decade. But don’t kid yourself into thinking that’s all life could be.’..
“I think I’ll always write and record music, I just don’t know if it’ll be as commercial. Or maybe it will be but I won’t promote it much.”
Magic Radio has now gone 100% Christmas and will be playing nothing but seasonal songs over the festive period.
