OHMYGOSSIP — Jesy Nelson has filmed a new music video.
The 31-year-old pop star left Little Mix in 2020 after almost a decade with the girl group and has only released solo single ‘Boyz’ with Nicki Minaj since – which was met with accusations of “black-fishing” – but is said to have “quietly” filmed a music video for her song ‘Cried Out’ in London on Friday (16.11.22)
A music insider told The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column: “This new record marks a fresh start for Jesy, she’s had a year to get over the drama of her ill-fated first single which was actually met with a lot of critical positivity and has put the episode behind her. She’s poured a lot of her feelings into the lyrics and hopes the track will mark the beginning of a new era for her. She’s excited and ready to go!”
According to the outlet, the new music video was directed by her ex-boyfriend Harry James – who she split from in 2018 after 16 months of dating – after he was at the helm of the ‘Boyz’ music video last year.
The ‘Confetti’ hitmakers went on hiatus in 2022 but Jesy’s bandmate Leigh Anne Pinnock signed a deal with Warner Records in March and has been in the studio with ‘Secrets’ singer RAYE, while Jade Thirlwall is said to be “taking a break” from music.
What’s more, Perrie Edwards has recently been in the studio with songwriter Kamille – who penned several hits with the ‘X Factor’ winning girl group – teased that her solo career will “blow everyone’s minds.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Razorlight “never meant” for their music to hit the charts.
The indie rock band – which consists of founding members Björn Ågren on guitar, lead vocalist Johnny Borrell and bassist Carl Delemo, as well as drummer Andy Burrows – enjoyed massive success with debut album ‘Up All Night’ and their chart-topping record ‘Razorlight’ in the early 2000s but Bjorn thinks it is “laughable” that their music ever became mainstream.
He said: “(Our music) was never meant for the charts. And then that ended up being the kind of music that everyone listens to being in the charts was laughable. I guess we were surprised to learn it was possible. It was nuts.”
The ‘In the Morning’ hitmaker went on to explain that the 2000s were a “very strange” decade but remarked that “everything has happened nicely” as the band prepares to launch their comeback album next year.
He told The Daily Star’s Wired column: “It was a very strange decade, the end of lad culture and that drinking until you drop thing. The most popular game became ‘Guitar Hero’. It was this weird thing where being in a band was the coolest thing in all of culture.
“Everything’s happened quite nicely. It feels like it was the right time for it to happen. Enough time had passed so we can see the thing for what it was, and what it is. It’s all very pure now, all about the music. Nobody’s talking about big hits or anything like that. We’re just trying with the four of us to see what we have.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Joel has postponed his final Madison Square Garden concert of the year, after being placed on “vocal rest due to a viral infection”.
The 73-year-old rock legend was set to play the 86th show of his residency at the iconic New York venue on Monday night (19.12.22), however, he’s been forced to reschedule the concert to June 2.
The ‘Piano Man’ said in a social media statement: “I’m disappointed to share that I’m under doctor’s orders for vocal rest due to a viral infection so unfortunately, I must postpone my Monday, December 19th concert at Madison Square Garden to June.
“I’m so sorry to let you know so close to show day, but I was hoping to be closer to a full recovery by now. Sadly, that hasn’t happened. I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.”
Billy holds the record for the most shows performed at MSG having played a whopping 131 times.
He’s due to return to the stage on January 13.
Next year will also see Billy headline American Express presents BST Hyde Park.
The July 7 show will mark his only European appearance of 2023.
Meanwhile, a Billy Joel biopic is in the works.
The movie titled ‘Piano Man’ is being developed by Michael Jai White’s Jaigantic Studios with Adam Ripp tapped to write and direct.
The flick will follow Billy’s early years – which saw him discovered by his first manager Irwin Mazur at the age of 16, his performances with a Long Island cover band in the 1960s and the breakthrough performance in 1972 that captured the attention of legendary record producer Clive Davis.
However, Billy’s representative says that the singer will not be involved with the movie and that no rights in music, name or likeness or life story will be granted to film chiefs.
Jaigantic Studios have instead acquired the life rights to Irwin, who managed Billy from 1965 to 1972 – the year before his breakthrough song and album ‘Piano Man’ was released.
According to the producers, the music needs for the film are “yet to be determined”.
‘Piano Man’ will be executive produced by Jaigantic Studios along with producers White, Mayne Berke and Donovan de Boer – along with Irwin and Ripp.
Ripp’s father Artie signed Billy to his first record deal as a solo artist and produced his debut album ‘Cold Spring Harbor’ in 1971.
He said in a statement: “Billy Joel has been a part of my life since my father signed him to his record label when I was four years old; his music is ingrained in my DNA and it’s been a dream of mine as a filmmaker to explore and celebrate the untold story of how Billy Joel became the Piano Man.”
Irwin added: “What a dream come true! These are the real-life events I witnessed first-hand that shaped Billy from a keyboard player in the local Long Island band, The Hassles, into the iconic musician, singer-songwriter and entertainer who thrills audiences around the world, today.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Foals are planning to “down tools” and take a break in 2023.
The band will have a busy summer with their headlining sets at the Reading and Leeds festivals as well as a US tour with Paramore but they haven’t got much planned for the first few months of the year so the rockers are hoping to enjoy some well-deserved time off.
Frontman Yannis Philippakis told NME: “We’ve got some time off in early 2023, which will be great. We’ll probably just rest and recuperate because this tour has been awesome but quite long …
“We should down tools for a bit and just enjoy where we are in our lives for a minute and stretch our legs creatively.”
Foals are also planning to announce sets at a number of non-UK festivals, but Reading and Leeds will be their only UK date.
They previously headlined the festival back in 2016 and Philippakis went on to insist fans will be in for a treat when the band take to the stage again for the double-site event in August.
He said: “We didn’t necessarily expect to do it a second time. To be asked back is awesome. We’ve had a connection to the festival ever since we started and it’s going to be ripping. It’s definitely one of the wildest festivals so for us it’s going to be the perfect headline show. The energy is going to be to the max.”
Philippakis refused to give away any of the “surprises” they’ve got lined up, but added: “We’ve got a couple of little surprises that we’re working on that I can’t really tell you about now. We put on one of the best live shows in the world so it’s going to be sick.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pearl Jam fans might have to wait until 2024 for a new album.
The ‘Alive’ group recruited producer to the stars Andrew Watt – who has worked with everyone from Justin Bieber to Ozzy Osbourne – to oversee their follow-up to 2020’s ‘Gigaton’ after he worked his magic on frontman Eddie Vedder’s recent solo LP ‘Earthling’.
And while the group have plenty of songs, they are in various stages, so it’s likely they won’t be ready to put out the record next year.
Speaking to Riff TV, guitarist Stone Gossard shared: “The plan is that we’re gonna do some more recording, and we’re gonna try to finish a record here pretty soon. There’s songs that are getting close to being done and there’s a bunch that aren’t. And we’re gonna do something here pretty soon.
“We’ve got demos for days. Everybody writes in the band, so now it’s really just trying to figure out what’s something different for us and what’s something exciting. And we’re working on that. I think we’ve got a good start on another record that will be hopefully good.”
As for when fans can expect the LP, he added: “I bet it’s gonna be 2024 before the record comes out, is my guess. But we’re working on it.”
Earlier this year, Eddie teased: “We’ll make a record with Andrew, I believe. We’ve already talked about it.
“You know, the pandemic came right as we were leaving for a tour on the ‘Gigaton’ record.
“And we had a lot of shows planned.
“Then, in between, I think we’ll be recording, because now we’ve got a healthy ambition to do so.
“I think we’ll move quick for a year or two, then I can see us slowing down for a little bit.
“We have the ability to play better than ever, but also know what we want to maintain the health of the group and want to keep coming back.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi is struggling to sell tickets to his show in Berlin.
The Scottish superstar has revealed sales for his German concert at the 17,000-capacity Mercedes-Benz Arena are “abysmal” compared to the rest of Europe.
He told Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2: “Big arena tour in the UK, and they’re going to hear us in Europe for the first time, which is selling well – except for Germany.
“People in Germany are really not vibing with my music, I have to say at the minute. Ticket sales are abysmal.
“That’s a word that I don’t get to use often.
“Everywhere else you’re like, ‘Oh, that’s going to sell out, or that’s going to sell really well, blah blah blah’, and you can kind of see them going up.
“The show in Berlin is 17,000 people, that’s what the arena can hold.
“And I have sold 1,373 tickets.”
He quipped: “Come on Germany. Get off your backsides and do something!”
Meanwhile, Michael Bublé recently jokingly vowed to “cancel Christmas” if Lewis’ song ‘Pointless’ doesn’t make it to number one.
The latter recently joked he had a “gripe to grind” with the ‘Home’ singer as his new single is being thrashed by festive songs in the charts.
He quipped that he needed to have a word with the Canadian star, whose 2012 cover of ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas’ is among those keeping his track co-written with Ed Sheeran from the top spot.
Lewis told the audience during filming for ‘In Concert with Lewis Capaldi’ for BBC Radio 2: “No one told me that it was probably a bad idea to release a song at Christmas, a song that has no reference to Christmas.
“We’re really being hammered in the charts by Christmas songs.
Not that it matters, but you know, these record labels want some money.”
He then quipped: “So, if anyone sees Michael Bublé, you let him know I’m looking for him. I’ve got a gripe to grind with Mr Bublé!”
And the 47-year-old star has since backed Lewis to top the chart.
In a TikTok clip, he said: “This is a message to Lewis Capaldi and only Lewis Capaldi.
“Hi Lewis, now that I have you alone let me just tell you how deeply crushed I am that my music could ever get in the way of your song going to number one.
“It’s an amazing song and you’re an amazing dude, I am putting it on my Christmas playlist right now and I am telling you right now, Pointless is so beautiful.
“If it doesn’t go to number one, Christmas should be cancelled, and maybe even Hanukkah.”
However, it’s looking like LadBaby will claim their fifth consecutive Christmas number one with their food bank fundraiser ‘Food Aid’, a parody of 1984 classic ‘Band Aid’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pixie Lott will “definitely” release a new album in 2023.
The ‘Mama Do’ hitmaker has confirmed plans to finally drop a follow-up to her third record, which was 2014’s self titled collection, and she is looking to unveil the new material sooner rather than later.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I am really excited to put out some new music next year. It’s an album.
“Dates always change but it’s definitely next year. It’s going to be singles first and then an album at the end of the spring or early summer.”
The 31-year-old singer revealed she’s moving away from “dance pop” to embrace more of a “live music vibe”.
She added: “It has more of a live music vibe and it is not as dance pop as before. have been so excited to make this album and it’s taken me four years.
“It is a live-sounding album. I am so excited to be able to sing the songs live.”
Pixie – who joined ‘The Voice’ spin-off ‘The Voice Kids’ in 2017 – has been asking fellow coach Danny Jones for tips after showing the McFly star some of the new material.
She said: “I was actually playing them backstage and in the chair, asking Danny what he thought in between acts.”
Meanwhile, Pixie previously claimed that her songwriting skills are getting better all the time and she had learned to feel more confident in her musical talents.
She said: “I think as you grow in confidence and have more life experiences it’s easier to voice them out loud in a room of your co-writers.
“You don’t mind putting ideas out there whether they are good or bad.
“When I was younger, I wasn’t always up for getting my ideas across in case it backfired.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sting, Stevie Wonder and the Jonas Brothers are set to perform at an upcoming tribute to the great songwriting genius Paul Simon.
The 81-year-old music legend – who has penned classics including ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Mrs. Robinson’ and ‘The Boxer’ for his folk-rock duo Simon and Garfunkel with bandmate Art – will be saluted by the Grammys and a star-studded bill of artists, who performed at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles back in April for the pre-recorded ‘Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon’.
Simon himself will be in attendance.
Previously confirmed performers include, Dave Matthews, Brandi Carlile, Billy Porter, Trombone Shorty, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town, and Shaggy featuring musician Jimmy Cliff.
Sir Elton John, Oprah Winfrey and Sofia Carson are also due to appear.
Ken Ehrlich, whose titular production company is putting on the show, commented: “I’ve known Paul for more than 40 years.
“I first met him when Paul and I did what I think was one of the first HBO music specials, in 1980. Doing it this year really solidified the last time we worked together, which was on the Global Citizen special in Central Park last September, where he closed the show with ‘Sound of Silence.’ I knew we were thinking about doing the next one of these, and it was then it was clear it really needs to be Paul Simon.”
Simon retired from touring in 2018, with the ‘Homeward Bound – The Farewell Tour’, which concluded with an emotional concert in Queens, New York City.
Thanking fans for “the ride”, he said at the concert: “It feels more like fate than coincidence that I should do the final show on the final tour at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
“I could have ridden my bike from home to the park in about 20 minutes when I was a kid. But this is less a goodbye than a farewell. Thank you all for the ride, I had a great time.”
However, he didn’t rule out performing completely.
And Simon returned to the stage to play San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival in August 2019, donating profits to local environmental non-profits.
The special will air on December 21 at 9pm ET on CBS and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Ryder has been nursing a dislocated shoulder and broken toe while on tour.
The 2022 ‘Eurovision’ runner-up has managed to power through with his jaunt up and down the UK with a smile, despite struggling with his injuries.
His toe injury was sustained while in Liverpool for his gig at the world-famous Cavern Club on December 12.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Sam is the definition of a trooper.
“At the weekend he dislocated his shoulder and since then it’s popped out twice.
“He then ended up breaking his toe in Liverpool. Sam is completely in the wars.
“It hasn’t stopped him though, and so far he’s done eight gigs and ten signings with a broken toe and a bad shoulder.”
Sam is used to dealing with shoulder problems, as he’s dislocated the joint a number of times.
The 33-year-old star – who is currently vying with SZA’s ‘SOS’ for this week’s number one in the UK’s Official Album Chart with his debut studio album ‘There’s Nothing But Space, Man!’ – recently revealed he once dislocated his shoulder from washing his long locks.
He said in November: “I’ve dislocated my shoulder washing my hair once. Too much volume!”
Sam went on: “I was surfing and you know when you get out the sea, and there’s sometimes showers? Your hair gets really knotty after a surf and I was trying to wash it, like run my hands through it, it wasn’t very L’Oréal looking. My thumb got sort of stuck in a knot and my shoulder dislocated.
“I have got a history of dislocating shoulders, it wasn’t just that but it happening washing your hair and the arm getting stuck in your hair is horrific.”
The ‘Somebody’ hitmaker – who came second to Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra with his mega-hit ‘Space Man’ at the Eurovision Song Contest in May – just shared how a surfing accident made him re-evaluate his life.
The former wedding singer-turned-TikTok phenomenon only committed to music after almost drowning in Hawaii.
Sam told the BBC: “I was surfing in Hawaii and my board snapped. Then I got hit by a wave and I very nearly drowned.
“It pushed me down so far into the water. And the turbulence of the water, the power, is incredible. Fighting against it, you feel like you’ve been hit by a bus.”
The accident gave him more clarity about his life as he went on to rise to prominence on the video-sharing platform during the coronavirus lockdown.
He said: “Obviously, the golden rule is surfing is ‘never underestimate the sea’, but until it goes wrong, you can’t fathom it. You’re like, ‘I am insignificant in this body of water.’
“But that day was important to me because I wanted to be very good at surfing and ride the big waves – but (the accident) put me back on my true purpose.
“I was like, ‘You can’t do the thing you love most, which is music and singing, if you’re at the bottom of the sea.'”

Patrick Stump and co have been leading fans to the website sendingmylovefrompinkseashellbeach.com to sign up for news with their details.
Upon arrival, a message reads “join us for a tiny sneak peak into our world”.
A button also says: “Do not open before Christmas”, seemingly a reference to Fall Out Boy’s song ‘Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued’ from 2005’s ‘From Under The Cork Tree’.
It includes the line: “The ribbon on my wrist says, ‘Do not open before Christmas.'”
As for the postcard, it reads: “Greetings from Pink Seashell Beach.”
The main message on the other side reads: “I saw you in a bright clear field. Hurricane heat in my head. The kind of pain you feel to get good in the end. Inscribed like stone and faded by the rain: ‘Give up what you love give up what you love before it does you in…’”
‘Pink Seashell Beach’ could potentially be the lead single from the band’s upcoming eighth studio album.
Last month, the emo pop band placed an advertisement in the Chicago Tribune, to tease the follow-up to 2018’s ‘M A N I A’.
It simply featured “FOB 8” and contained the line: “If you build it, they will come”.
In the summer, Joe Trohman revealed the group put a “guitar-based” album “on the back burner”.
The ‘Dance, Dance’ group were planning to go “back to [their] roots” on their next LP but decided to set the songs aside, much to the apparent frustration of the guitarist, who would like to see the band return to their old sound, but in a fresh way.
He revealed: “We were working on some stuff that was guitar-based. I don’t know know what’s happening with it. I think it unfortunately went to the back burner. It would be nice to make a record where the guitar is a little more upfront.
“We did start that way, as a guitar-based rock band, and it’d be cool to go back to those roots. We’d have to find a way to do it that doesn’t sound like Fall Out Boy from 2005. It might be cool for somebody else to do that, but it wouldn’t be cool for us to do it.”
Joe also confessed he wasn’t a fan of their last record, expressing his frustration that he would rather make a “cool record” than aim for chart success.
He admitted: “I’d say, ‘I’m gonna extricate myself from this. This is not what I want to do. When you have some stuff together, give it to me. If you want me to throw some ideas on there or whatever, I’ll do it in my recording studio.’
“And I did that a little bit, but overall, I stayed pretty much out of it, more or less.
“‘Mania’ has some cool ideas and interesting stuff in there. But it didn’t work as well, and I can’t say I love it.
“That’s what leads me, hopefully, to go back to making a record… with guitars, bass, drums, vocal.
“I love synthesizers, synthesizers that we play. We can play music; let’s play the music. Let’s not go for samples. Let’s not try to reach for singles.
“At this point, we’ve had so many hit singles. Do we really even need to reach for singles anymore? I think we should just make a cool record.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bad Bunny has been implored by Mexico’s president to put on a free gig after fans were turned away from his gig due to an “unprecedented number of fake tickets”.
Even fans with legitimate tickets for last week’s sold-out concert were’n’t granted entry due a ticketing error, while there was also overcrowding issues at the 85,000 capacity Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
And the government is now suing Ticketmaster Mexico and has requested the artist play for nothing for fans as compensation.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said they would be willing to pay for partial production costs for a show at the city’s Zócalo square.
Speaking at a press conference, he said: “I ask Bad Bunny, I know he is overworked and tired because he works a lot, but I ask him to consider the possibility of coming to Mexico, to the Zócalo. Hopefully he comes.”
Ticketmaster Mexico is to be fined up to 10 per cent of its yearly profit for the massive error.
At the time of the gig, Ticketmaster said: “The inconveniences at the entrances were a consequence of the high unprecedented number of fake tickets which caused crowding of people more than typical.
“The crowding caused confusion and complicated the entrance to the stadium, which led to people with legitimate tickets, not being allowed entry.”
Ticketmaster vowed to prevent future fraudulent sales as it works with the consumer protection agency PROFEC.
It comes after Taylor Swift’s fans sued Ticketmaster for “price fixing” and “fraud”.
Following the ticket-buying debacle for the superstar’s North American ‘Eras’ tour, which saw Ticketmaster cancel the general sale due to high demand and insufficient ticket inventory, a number of fans are suing the company.
According to TMZ, the company is being sued for “fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations”, as well as “intentional deception”, after scalpers scooped up a large number of tickets.
The lawsuit claims that because Ticketmaster is involved in both the primary ticket sale market as well as the secondary market, they were “eager to allow” scalpers into the presale event.
Ticketmaster issued an apology to Taylor and her fans after the singer revealed she was “p***** off” with how the sales had been handled.
The ticket sales and distribution company was slammed after announcing the cancellation of general sale tickets.
Ticketmaster said in a statement: “We strive to make ticket buying as easy as possible for fans, but that hasn’t been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift ‘The Eras’ Tour. First, we want to issue an apology to Taylor and all of her fans – especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coldplay have teamed up with Nile Rodgers for a new project.
The ‘Christmas Lights’ group have been in the studio with the music legend recently, who was pleased to be in the flesh with Chris Martin and co.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column at the Nordoff Robbins Carol Service this week, Nile spilled: “Yesterday, I worked with Coldplay for the first day.
“We had a blast. What was great working with Coldplay is that we’re all in the room together and it’s sort of like a spiritual thing.
“It’s like they walk in and they say, ‘Do you want to join the circle or not?’. I’m an old hippie, you’re speaking my language.
“Let’s go.”
The collaboration is top secret for now.
The ‘Paradise’ hitmakers recently teamed up with BTS star Jin on his solo track ‘The Astronaut’.
Meanwhile, Coldplay were forced to cancel a string of gigs after frontman Chris contracted a “serious lung infection”.
The ‘Viva La Vida’ hitmakers postponed concerts in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil in early October, after the 45-year-old singer was placed under “strict” orders to rest for at least three weeks by his doctors.
The group said in a statement: “With deep regret, we’ve been forced to postpone our upcoming shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo until early 2023.
“Due to a serious lung infection, Chris has been put under strict doctor’s orders to rest for the next three weeks. We’re working as fast as possible to lock in the new dates and will follow up with more information in the next few days.”
The band went on to apologise to disappointed fans but insisted they needed to “prioritise Chris’ health”.
They added: “To everyone in Brazil who was looking forward to these concerts, we’re extremely sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience, and we’re so grateful for your understanding at this challenging time where we need to prioritise Chris’ health.
“Please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new rescheduled dates. These will happen in early 2023 and will be announced very soon. However, we will also honour all requests for ticket refunds – which will be available at the point of sale.
“We’re optimistic that Chris will return to good health after the prescribed medical break and look forward to resuming the tour as soon as possible. To everyone affected, please accept our sincere apologies, and thank you as always for your love and support.”
The tour started again on October 25 in Buenos Aires.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones are set to stage a virtual concert to celebrate the release of ‘GRRR Live!’.
The legendary band performed one of their most memorable concerts in Newark, New Jersey in 2012, when it was broadcast on pay-per-view – and they’re now planning to celebrate the release of the ‘GRRR Live!’ album by airing the star-studded event on February 2.
The show featured performances from a host of big-name stars, including Lady Gaga, Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer, Mick Taylor and Bruce Springsteen.
And the legendary show is now being made available to fans worldwide on RollingStonesNewark.com, via interactive video company Kiswe’s global live streaming technology.
Kiswe Live actually allows the fans to be part of the experience, as they will be able to upload short video selfies to celebrate the band and their performance.
Fans will also be see themselves on the screen during the performances.
Tickets for the online event will go on sale on December 15 at www.RollingStonesNewark.com.
The Rolling Stones recently announced plans to release ‘GRRR Live!’ in February.
The live album was recorded during their December 2012 show at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
The performance – which took place during the band’s 50 and Counting world tour – has been re-mixed and re-edited to create a triple-album vinyl and a double-album CD. ‘GRRR Live!’ is also being released on DVD and Blu-Ray.
During the concert, the Stones were joined on stage by Lady Gaga, who performed a duet with Sir Mick Jagger.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Grennan is releasing his “most personal” single yet in a bid for Christmas number one.
The 27-year-old singer is a contender for the coveted festive top spot thanks to his new track ‘You Are Not Alone’ and he hopes the “open and raw” song can reach out and offer a “warm hug” to those in need.
He said: “This isn’t just another single to me, it’s far more than that. This is the most personal song I have written.
“I want these lyrics to help other people as much as writing them has helped me.
“I’ve been open and raw in songs before, but when this song started pouring out of me, it was different.
“Whilst Christmas can be a happy time for many, it can also be a time when people feel a deep sense of loneliness, and I hope this song talks to that feeling and gives you that warm hug you might need right now.
“Now, more than ever, we need to look after each other.”
LadBaby had been tipped to land his fifth consecutive Christmas number one for ‘Food Aid’, a collaboration with Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis that’s a remake of Band Aid’s classic ‘Do They Know Its Christmas’ which will raise money for the Trussell Trust and the Band Aid Trust.
But now Tom has joined the race alongside the likes of Stormzy, Sam Smith, Lewis Capaldi, YouTube group Sidemen, and boxer Tyson Fury, the result is less certain.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “When LadBaby declared he was in the running once again, the odds went immediately in his favour.
“But new competition is coming from all angles, namely Tom who has a huge following.
“With all these new rivals, LadBaby finally has a fight on his hands.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce’s two-night ‘Club Renaissance’ event has sold out “within minutes”.
The megastar has teamed up with Amazon Music to put on the exclusive experience at a mystery venue in Los Angeles this weekend to celebrate six months since the release of her LP ‘Renaissance’.
Variety reported that fans are invited to “experience ‘Renaissance’ in spatial audio.”
It’s not known if the ‘Cuff It’ singer herself will be in attendance, however, she did show up at the New York and Paris ‘Club Renaissance’ events earlier this year.
Meanwhile, last month it was claimed that ‘Renaissance’ act II is allegedly an acoustic LP and act III is a collaboration with her husband Jay-Z.
New York Times journalist Kyle Buchanan made the claims on Twitter, just in case the micro-blogging app vanished amid speculation the site was shutting down.
He wrote: “Before Twitter goes down, instead of making you follow me somewhere else, I’ll just tell you what I’ve heard about the other 2 acts of Beyonce’s 3-part “Renaissance” project
“(2nd act is an acoustic album, 3rd act is a collaboration with Jay-Z) (sic)”
The ‘Love On Top’ singer is yet to announce the next two parts of the three-part project.
Beyonce received nine GRAMMY nominations for the first act, including the prestigious Album of the Year and Song of the Year prizes.
The 41-year-old superstar is now tied with husband Jay-Z as the most-nominated artist in the history of the awards with a total of 88 each.
Announcing the ambitious project back in July, Beyonce said: “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.
“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.
“It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking.
“A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
Meanwhile, Beyonce is reportedly planning to hit the road in 2023 for a ‘Renaissance’ world tour.
The ‘Irreplaceable’ singer last toured in 2018 when she hit the road with her husband after releasing their joint album ‘Everything Is Love’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ stadium tour is anticipated to make a whopping $591 million in ticket sales in the US alone.
According to Billboard, the pop megastar will become the female with the highest-grossing tour of all time with her 2023 jaunt.
There are still 170,000 tickets to be sold after the Ticketmaster pre-sale debacle of last month, and the publication claims those tickets have an estimated face value of around $37 million, adding to the $554 million from the already sold tickets.
A number of the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker’s fans have sued Ticketmaster for “price fixing” and “fraud” after the general sale for the North American run was cancelled due to high demand and insufficient ticket inventory.
According to TMZ, the company is being sued for “fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations”, as well as “intentional deception”, after scalpers scooped up a large number of tickets.
The lawsuit claims that because Ticketmaster is involved in both the primary ticket sale market as well as the secondary market, they were “eager to allow” scalpers into the presale event.
Ticketmaster issued an apology to Taylor and her fans after the singer revealed she was “p***** off” with how the sales had been handled.
The ticket sales and distribution company was slammed after announcing the cancellation of general sale tickets.
Ticketmaster said in a statement: “We strive to make ticket buying as easy as possible for fans, but that hasn’t been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift ‘The Eras’ Tour. First, we want to issue an apology to Taylor and all of her fans – especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets.”
