OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus will release her new single on January 13.
The 30-year-old pop star has been teasing fans on social media in recent weeks that new music is on the way and revealed on Sunday (01.01.23) that new track ‘Flowers’ will drop in just under a fortnight.
Alongside a clip of herself slipping out of a dress and strutting in her underwear, she wrote on Instagram: “NEW YEAR, NEW MILEY, NEW SINGLE. FLOWERS JANUARY 13.”(sic)
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker – who was previously married to Liam Hemsworth – also appeared to preview a snippet of the lyrics to the new song, which is set to be released on her ex-husband’s 33rd birthday.
In the clip, she sings: “Yeah I can love me better than you can.”
The news comes just days after Miley – who is the goddaughter of country music legend Dolly Parton – revealed that her New Year’s resolutions for 2023 were inspired by the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker herself and went on to reflect
She said: “I guess my resolution would really be – my instinct is very loud, but I’m not a great listener sometimes. Dolly was telling me, her husband says, ‘You’re not hard of hearing.
You’re hard of listening’. And I guess that would kind of be my resolution, to not just listen to myself, but listen to others.”
Meanwhile, Miley – who shot to fame as a teenager portraying the title role on the Disney Channel sitcom ‘Hannah Montana’ but dramatically shed her child star persona in favour of a raunchier image in her 20s – turned 30 in November and reflected that the past decade has been “so much fun” for her.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gangsta Boo has died at the age of 43.
The rap star – whose real name was Lola Chantrelle Mitchell – was best known as part of hip hop group Three 6 Mafia but was found dead at her home on Sunday (01.01.23), her bandmate DJ Paul has confirmed.
Without revealing a cause of death, he shared an image of Gansgta and placed a halo emoji above her head, and added an image of a crying face in an apparent tribute to his co-star.
The DJ was inundated with comments from fellow musicians upon sharing the post, with rapper Lil Jon writing: “MAN WE WAS JUS TOGETHER 3 WEEKS AGOREST WELL QUENN [prayer emoji]” (sic), while Krayzie Bone said: “Cannot believe this bro. Tuff one” (sic) and ‘Act a Fool’ hitmaker Ludacris simply posting an emoji of hands clasped in prayer alongside a dove.
In the hours after the news of her death broke, sources close to the ‘Late Nite Tip’ hitmaker alleged that she had spent the night with her brother and the pair had taken an overdose.
A source told TMZ: “Gangsta was with her brother last night at a local concert in Memphis, and he started to overdose sometime in the night … requiring hospitalization.
While he ended up being okay, people familiar with Gangsta Boo’s death scene insist narcotics were found on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be at play. We’re told the police are launching an official investigation.”
Gangsta Boo began performing with Three 6 Mafia in the mid-1990s but quit the group in 2002 to further pursue her solo career, with her last studio album ‘Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera’ being released in 2003.
Her most recent releases include the EP ‘Witch’, which was a collaborative effort with La Chat in 2014 and in 2018 she released the mixtape ‘Underground Cassette Tape Music 2 ‘ with BeatKing in 2018.

The late soul icon – who died in 2018 at the age of 76 – was best known for hits such as ‘R.E.S.P.E.C.T’ and ‘(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman’ and topped the media outlet’s updated list of the greatest singers, coming atop a list of 200
The outlet reported: “A force of nature. A work of genius. A gift from the heavens. Aretha Franklin’s voice is all that and more, which is why she remains the unchallenged Queen, years after her final bow. Her singing is the most magnificent sound to emerge from America — more universal than Coltrane’s horn, bolder than Hendrix’s guitar. She blew up worldwide with her 1967 hit “Respect,” claiming her throne as the greatest pop, rock, or soul singer ever.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Una Healy wants a Saturdays reunion.
The 41-year-old pop star – who split from rugby player Ben Foden in 2018 after six years of marriage – was part of the girl group alongside Frankie Bridge, 33, Mollie King, 35, Vanessa White, 33 and Rochelle Humes, 33, from 2007 until they went on hiatus in 2014 but now thinks the “time is right” for the pop quintet to get back together.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’ve just got into crystals. I have one to look for love and another one which is supposed to protect you against negative energy. This year I would love to do something with the girls again. I feel like the time is right.”
Last year, Una – who enjoyed a string of hit singles as part of the Saturdays with songs such as ‘Ego’ , ‘Missing You’ and ‘Up’ – branched out into a solo career and explained how her first single ‘This Is Your Life’ was a reworking of a song she initially wrote as a teenager.
She said: “One of the first songs I wrote, when I was 15 years old – it was very philosophical for a 15-year-old – was called ‘This Is Your Life’. I don’t know what I was thinking at the time but I was just feeling really passionate about life and how precious it is and how important it is and I just sat on it for a while.
“During a Zoom session in the pandemic with Anna Krantz, an amazing singer-songwriter, we wrote a song about the pandemic and I thought ‘No, no-one is gonna listen to that.’
“So we reworked ‘This Is Your Life’ and here it is now. It’s finally unleashed to the world and it is a celebration of life but an acknowledgment of how tough it can be. And I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Earth, Wind and Fire drummer Fred White has died at the age of 67.
The musician passed away on Sunday (01.01.23), with his brother, Verdine White, announcing the news via a statement on social media.
Alongside images of Fred playing the drums, Verdine wrote on Instagram: “Dearest Family Friends and Fans…..Our family is saddened today With the loss of an amazing and talented family member, Our beloved brother Frederick Eugene “Freddie” White. [prayer, heart and drum emojis] (sic)”
Verdine subsequently said that his brother will join Earth, Wind and Fire star Maurice White, lead vocalist Roland Bautista and former manager Monte Keith White “in heaven”.
He wrote: “He joins our brothers Maurice, Monte and Ronald in heaven and is now drumming with the angels! Child protege, member of the EWF ORIGINAL 9, with gold records at the young age of 16 years old! He was brother number 4 in the family lineup.
“But more than that at home and beyond he was the wonderful bro that was always entertaining and delightfully mischievous! And we could always count on him to make a seemingly bad situation more lighthearted! (sic)”
Verdine added: “He will live in our hearts for ever, rest in power beloved Freddie!! We thank you all for your love, blessings and support at this time. Soar high baby bro, we love you to the shining and back! (sic)”
Lenny Kravitz subsequently paid a glowing tribute to Fred in the comments section.
The 58-year-old star admitted to being influenced by the late musician, who also played drums on Donny Hathaway’s ‘Live’ album.
He wrote on the photo-sharing platform: “Sending my love and deepest condolences to you and the family. I was blessed to have been in his presence and blessed to have been influenced by him. A true king. Rest in power.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Fall Out Boy are continuing to tease new music in a cryptic letter to fans.
The ‘Sugar We’re Going Down’ hitmakers – whose most recent album was 2018’s ‘M A N I A’ – have promised fans “more than a gold watch” is coming “next year”.
In an email sent to fans entitled ‘A Homeboy’s Life’, they cryptically pondered: “Here we are finishing another spin around the sun, a cosmic twirl. Still trying to get free of everything we’re supposed to be.
“But before the champagnes gone warm and flat, Glitter to dust, squinted eyes at the new year sun: Let’s prime the engine and take it out for another magic trip.
“We spent the last year jamming ideas in a tiny room [and] can’t wait to share them with you.”
The band – made up of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley – hinted that fans won’t have too long to wait.
They added: “Thanks for always sticking around. Thanks for working the beat.
“Spoiler alert: we got more than a gold watch coming for you next year.”
Back in November, the ‘Centuries’ rockers took out an advert in the Chicago Tribute newspaper teasing their upcoming – as yet unannounced – eighth album.
The ad was on a black background and read “FOB 8” followed by the words: “If you build it, they will come”.
Meanwhile, last week the group appeared to share a preview of a new song in a video titled ‘A Claymation Fall Out Boy Celebration’.
Last month, the band shared more hints of what’s to come with a series of postcards sent out to fans titled ‘Pink Seashell Beach’.
Alongside the postcards, two websites launched, with one dubbed “sending my love from pink seashell beach”, and the other “sending my love from the other side”.
In September, FOB guitarist Joe admitted while the band has worked on some new “guitar-based” material, he wasn’t sure if they would end up going in that direction.
He explained: “I don’t know what’s happening with it. I think it unfortunately went to the back burner.
“It would be nice to make a record where the guitar is a little more upfront. We did start that way, as a guitar-based rock band, and it’d be cool to go back to those roots.
“We’d have to find a way to do it that doesn’t sound like Fall Out Boy from 2005. It might be cool for somebody else to do that, but it wouldn’t be cool for us to do it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is to release her debut solo album this year.
The 28-year-old singer took to social media to confirm she will drop a record in 2023.
In response to a fan who asked on Korean mobile app Weverse whether they could “look forward” to Jisoo’s solo album, the star wrote: “Please wait for Jisoo’s solo album in 2023.”
YG Entertainment added in a statement: “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album.
“While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news.”
In January 2022, Jisoo was asked whether she plans to release solo music later in the year, and she replied: “Of course!”
The K-Pop girl group are also made up of Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, all three of which have already had solo releases.
Jennie was the first, when she dropped single ‘Solo’ in 2018, and Rosé and Lisa followed in 2021.
This comes after Jisoo and Camila Cabello joined forces for a duet of ‘Liar’ at BLACKPINK’s final date of their North American tour in November.
The group drew the US leg of their ‘Born Pink’ world tour to a close in sensational fashion at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on November 20th, bringing out the former Fifth Harmony star to perform the track from Camila’s LP ‘Romance’.
The ‘Don’t Go Yet’ hitmaker came out on stage in a custom ‘Born Pink’ outfit.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pixie Lott could team up with the winner of ‘The Voice Kids’ for a duet.
Isrealla Chris, 14, was crowned winner of the ITV singing series on Wednesday (28.12.22) and now the teenager has admitted that she would love to work with mentor Pixie, 31, she begins her career.
She said: “I would really love to do chart music. I’d love to sing with Pixie. She is one of the most kind and most understanding people I have ever met. She has helped me a lot. ”
The teen singer went on to add that Pixie – who outside of the show is known for having released a string of her own hits including ‘Mama Do’,’Boys and Girls’ and ‘Cry Me Out’ – helped her with her self-confidence and is sure she can achieve something in music now that she has won.
She told The Daily Star’s HotTV Column: “Pixie helped me to discover and connect with my emotions and helped me with my confidence. Going forward, I know I can achieve something. ”
Israella Chris – who wowed the judges with her performance of Christian hyn ‘How Great Thou Art’ in the final – added that the whole experience of the show has changed her life because she “doubted” her singing abilities before signing up to take part.
She said: “The experience [of ‘The Voice’] was really life-changing and going on the show has really helped me confidence-wise. Before the show, I hadn’t really explored my singing and I was very doubtful of myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Sugababes are the focus of a bidding war from record companies.
The group’s original line-up – Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy – have reunited and are keen to record new music to celebrate their 25th anniversary next year, and record labels are fighting over who gets to snap them up.
A music insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “There are lots of Nineties and Noughties acts which reunite and it’s a bit cheesy and full of nostalgia, but the original Sugababes are actually cool, credible artists.
“They have really impressed people at the major labels this year with their voices.
“The reaction from fans proves they are really a viable act to have huge success with new music.
“They have some great ideas for songs and reckon they can win over a whole new generation of Sugababes fans.
“The hope is that they will sign to a label at the beginning of the year and have new music out at some point in the next 12 months.”
They recently released ‘The Lost Tapes’, their leaked and unreleased 2014 album – to streaming services.
Meanwhile, the Sugababes had originally planned to launch their comeback in 2020 – but their ambitions were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
During an Instagram Live, Keisha previously explained: “We had so many plans.
“2020 was our anniversary year, we built it up to do so many things but it didn’t happen, so we have to restructure.
“We just have to be motivated to do it and passionate about it and once we are actually in the studio it flows really easily for us. But it’s about getting us all on the same page on the same date and the pandemic makes it really tricky.
“It just has to be organic and be on the same page as far as our schedules are concerned.”
Meanwhile, Siobhan revealed the band had loved working on new music together.
She said: “There’s nothing concrete at the moment, but we are working on stuff all the time and definitely new music.
“We love making music together and that’s something we’re going to continue to do. And hopefully it won’t be too long now, now that we can be in the studio together again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Love says Kurt Cobain and Lana Del Rey are the only “true musical geniuses” she has ever known.
The Hole frontwoman ruled the Nirvana lead singer – and her late husband – and the ‘Born to Die’ hitmaker as the only people in the industry who “can Spielberg anything”.
Appearing on the comic Marc Maron’s podcast ‘WTF’ on Monday (26.12.2022), the 58-year-old rocker said: “Lana and Kurt are the only two true musical geniuses I’ve ever known And by that I mean they can Spielberg anything.”
Courtney gushed about the 37-year-old songstress – who is releasing a new album ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’ in March 2023 – comparing her “integrity” to that of Kurt, who died in 1994 by suicide and with who she had daughter Frances Bean, now 30.
She continued to the 59-year-old comedian: “She’s got the integrity that Kurt had. The only two people I know that I can say [that about].
“By the way, Stipe? Bono? Yes, these are people that I know and love. Billie Joe, sure. But Lana? She’s got a magic thing. And she’s not even f***** up!”
The ‘Epic’ hitmaker also revealed she had been working on new music – the first since the 2010 Hole record ‘Nobody’s Daughter’, which was made in collaboration with Dirty Pretty Things guitarist Anthony Rossomando and Justin Parker, a longtime collaborator of Lana – and that it won’t be rock as it’s “not a thing”.
Courtney shared that she did pen a track ‘Kill F*** Marry’ in response to the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp legal drama and “earworm and a half” named ‘Justice for Kurt’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher is “quite happy” for other people to write songs for him.
The ‘Everything’s Electric’ hitmaker insisted he is “never” going to work alone because he is too busy to be a “committed songwriter”, so he welcomes a collaborative approach to his solo career.
He said: “I’m never going to do this on my own. Even if I could, I wouldn’t. I need more help with people. I’m not that kind of person who sits at home with a guitar trying to write a song, I’ve got other things going on in my life.
“I’m not one of those committed songwriters sitting there looking for the greatest song. I’m quite happy for some other f***er to do it and I’ll sing it and put it in the back of the net.”
However, the 50-year-old singer admitted he goes through phases of being obsessed with playing guitar.
He said in a recent interview: “But when I get into it, I’m into it. I have periods where I don’t put the guitar down, and other periods when I look at it and go, ‘What the f*** are you looking at?’ “
But one thing Liam never plays when he gets his guitar out is songs by his former group Oasis.
He said: “I can’t play any Oasis songs, I can only play what I do. I can’t even play ‘Wonderwall’, I can only play what I play.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Meek Mill posted bail for 20 women so they could spend Christmas with their families.
The 35-year-old rap star lent his support to the women last week, explaining that no-one should have to spend Christmas in jail “simply because they can’t afford bail”.
He said in a statement: “For families impacted by the criminal justice system, the holidays can be an extremely challenging time.
“No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail, and no child should be without their parents during this time if we can do something about it. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”
Meek’s gesture was also explained in an Instagram post on the page of his non-profit REFORM Alliance.
The post read: “The women, who were unable to afford bail, will now be able to spend the holiday season with their families and loved ones. Five women were released today and will be reunited with their families, with the goal of 15 more women being released in the coming week. The women will also each receive a gift card to purchase groceries or gifts for the holidays.”
Meanwhile, last year, Meek surprised his grandmother by buying her a brand new home in Philadelphia.
The rap star took to Instagram to share his gran’s stunned reaction as she explored the property.
He told his followers: “I did this for my dad and my Grandmom.”
Meek showed off the property to his followers, after explaining that his gesture was his way of “looking out” for his grandmother.
She told him that the home is “unreal” and Meek responds by saying, “Appreciate you, grandma.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Ryder has called for a more “diverse” act to represent the UK at Eurovision in 2023.
The 33-year-old singer shot to fame on TikTok in lockdown and ended up representing the UK during the annual singing contest with his song ‘Space Man’ – during which he placed second behind Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra with their song ‘Stefania’ – but has insisted that it is time for an artist of more diverse background to step into the spotlight.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “The UK has such a diverse plethora of talent and all I can hope is that what happened this year has encouraged more people from those diverse genres of and backgrounds o think ‘Eurovision isn’t a career killer’. I would love it to be a fan of Eurovision and its history. ”
The ‘Tiny Riot’ hitmaker worked in the construction business with his dad after initially giving up on his dreams of becoming a singing before launching a vegan café with his girlfriend and taking on work as a
wedding singer.
Sam eventually returned to the music business after building up a large
following on TikTok with his singing.
It led to him signing a deal with Parlophone and being scouted as a potential entry for the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest this year.
He said of his decision to take part in Eurovision – which is due to take place in Liverpool in 2023 because of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine – : “The more I thought about it, the more I realised I was at the perfect point in my journey to throw all my chips on the table … I had to go for it”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lyrics allegedly penned by a young Drake were discovered in a dumpster near his uncle’s Memphis factory.
According to TMZ, the handwritten lyric sheets were found in the trash after the factory closed down, and they are now expected to fetch around $20,000 (£16,574) at the Moments In Time auction.
One song is called ‘Come Spring’ and the lyrics include: “We’re in the age of conflict and knowledge / But we’re trapped in this cage of barbed wire and wreckage with the freedom to go to college / The freedom to indulge and dissolve ourselves in the process / The law says / You have witnessed / an audience in the race of silence.”
Drake released the track ‘Come Winter’ on his 2006 mixtape ‘Room For Improvement’, and seemingly decided to ditch the could-be sequel.
Meanwhile, Drake was recently said to have lost $1 million after placing a bet on Argentina to beat France in the 2022 World Cup final.
Little over a month after losing a whopping $2 million on a UFC bet, the hip-hop superstar lost megabucks again after Argentina beat France in a penalty shootout in Qatar on December 18.
According to Vulture, the ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper lost because he placed a “bet in a market where extra time isn’t counted and the result is determined based on the score after 90 minutes of play.”
Otherwise, he would have walked away with $2.75 million.
In November, TMZ revealed Drake placed $2 million on middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in his bout against Alex Pereira during UFC 281 in New York, however, the latter won.
If it had gone the other way, the 36-year-old star would have banked $2,900,000.
The multi-millionaire hasn’t had much luck of late.
A week prior, it was revealed that Drake and his collaborator 21 Savage were being sued by the publishers of Vogue magazine for $4 million.

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion’s lawsuit against her record label is set to head to trial.
The 27-year-old rap star – whose real name is Megan Pete – previously filed a lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment over its definition of an album, with Megan accusing the label of trying to keep her tied into her contract.
By contrast, 1501 Certified Entertainment insists that Megan’s ‘Something For Thee Hotties’ compilation does not constitute an album, meaning she’s yet to fulfil the terms of her contract with the company.
But now, a judge has insisted that the case should proceed to a trial.
Rolling Stone reports that Megan’s response filing read: “Pete should be allowed her day in court to present evidence and testimony to the jury demonstrating that she has done all that was required of her in the delivery and release of her albums.”
Megan is seeking at least $1 million in damages.
The chart-topping star previously accused her label of blocking her music.
The ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper explained that she tried to negotiate aspects of her contract with 1501 after signing a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management, who made her more aware of some of the clauses in the deal with the label.
Speaking to her fans on her Instagram Stories, Megan said: “When I signed, I didn’t really know what was in my contract.
“I was young, I think I was, like, 20. So when I got with Roc Nation, I got management, real management.
“I got real lawyers, and they were like, ‘Do you know that this is in your contract?’ And I was like, ‘Oh that’s crazy, no I didn’t know.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez has recorded songs about her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck for her new album.
The ‘Jenny From The Block’ star has produced a new record called ‘This Is Me … Now’ – a sequel to her previous album ‘This Is Me … Then’ – and she poured her love for Ben into her music after they got back together.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she explained: “We captured me at this moment in time when I was reunited with the love of my life and we decided we were going to be together forever. The whole message of the album then is, ‘This love exists. This is a real love.’ Now I think what the message of the album is very much if you were wondering if you have, like me at times, lost hope, almost given up, don’t, because true love does exist and some things do last forever and that’s real.”
Jennifer was previously engaged to Ben but they split in 2004 before they could exchange vows before getting back together in 2021 and finally walking down the aisle this summer.
The singer admits it was tough showing her vulnerable side on her new songs, but she is glad she was open and honest.
Jennifer went on: “I want to put that message [of true love] out into the world and that does take a lot of vulnerability. But I couldn’t stop myself and some parts of it scare me. And I think parts of it scare Ben too. He’s like, ‘Oh, do you really want to say all this stuff?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know how else to do it, baby’.”
Her previous album ‘This Is Me … Then’ was about her previous relationship with Ben, and Jennifer admits he is a huge fan of the record.
She added: “He loves that album. He loves that music. He knows all of the words. You know what I mean? It’s crazy. He also was with me while I was creating it.”
Jennifer is due to release ‘This Is Me … Now’ in 2023.
