OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna was featured on a scrapped version of Hoobastank’s 2006 track ‘Inside of You’.
Frontman Doug Robb kicks himself that the rock band decided against releasing the track with the global megastar, who was a relatively new artist at the time.
The song – sans Rihanna – was on their album ‘Every Man For Himself’.
Following the ‘Work’ hitmaker’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance at the weekend, Robb tweeted: “There is a version of a [Hoobastank] song featuring [Rihanna] when she was a ‘newer’ artist.
“Displaying a total lack of foresight, we didn’t use that version of the song for the album.”
The 48-year-old singer suggested it could be possible to re-release the Rihanna version when asked by a fan.
He replied: “Possibly?”
Doug also admitted that the band didn’t think their biggest hit ‘The Reason’ was going to prove as popular as it did.
He wrote: “We also didn’t think The Reason was a single though either so… Oops.”
In an statement, the musician claimed Rihanna’s team changed the song and they “didn’t really love it”.
Doug told Consequence: “We gave [Rihanna’s] camp a song called ‘Inside Of You’. I think they rearranged some of the music to create a pre-chorus section, that wasn’t originally part of the arrangement, for her to sing a small part on. We heard it and didn’t really love it so we passed on using it. It’s really just that simple. I think we had already gotten used to hearing the song as it was written so it just felt weird to us.”
He went on to admit that he failed to see that the ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker was about to be a huge star.
Doug continued: “I think if we had done a proper collaboration with her, writing the song knowing there was gonna be another artist on it and making space for it, we probably would have felt differently and used it. I think the way we did it was just wrong. The paint had already dried so to speak. Well, it was that, plus a stunning lack of vision to see what a star Rihanna, 34, was going to be.”
And he insisted they have no bad blood with the ‘Umbrella’ singer.
He added: “We’d run into her at various award shows after and she was always very sweet and super cool.
“I think everything worked out OK for her in the end.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen performed ‘If I Was The Priest’ for the first time in more than five decades this week, and admitted he still has no idea what the song is about.
The Boss was performing with his E Street Band at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on February 14, when he decided to dust off the demo they re-recorded for their 2020 LP ‘Letter To You’.
He quipped: “I wrote this song. I was 22, 15 years ago.
“And I still don’t have a clue what the f*** it’s about.”
The last performance of the track was on May 2, 1972, at New York’s Gaslight Au Go Go nightclub, 51 years ago.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that the Springsteen fanzine Backstreets will shut down after 43 years.
The periodical, which has been covering the singer and his E Street Band since 1980, is set to shutter due to disillusionment over Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model and what has been described as a “fan freeze out”.
Publisher and editor-in-chief Christopher Phillips wrote in an editorial: “After 43 years of publishing in one form or another, by fans for fans of Bruce Springsteen, it’s with mixed emotions that we announce Backstreets has reached the end of the road.
“We are immensely proud of the work Backstreets has done, and we are forever grateful to the worldwide community of fellow fans who have contributed to and supported our efforts all these years, but we know our time has come.
“If you read the editorial Backstreets published last summer in the aftermath of the U.S. ticket sales, you have a sense of where our heads and hearts have been: dispirited, downhearted, and, yes, disillusioned. It’s not a feeling we’re at all accustomed to while anticipating a new Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour…
“There’s no denying that the new ticket price range has in and of itself been a determining factor in our outlook as the 2023 tour approached — certainly in terms of the experience that hardcore fans have been accustomed to for, as Springsteen noted, 49 years. Six months after the onsales, we still faced this three-part predicament: These are concerts that we can hardly afford; that many of our readers cannot afford; and that a good portion of our readership has lost interest in as a result.”
The ‘Born In the U.S.A.’ rocker previously defended ticket prices for his tours and insisted they were competitive.
He said: “So this tour, we said ‘Hey, the guys are in their 70s. I’m 73. Do what everybody else is doing who are my peers. They basically went out and there were a variety of things being done and that’s what they did. Most of my tickets are totally affordable. There is a very high range.
“Let’s say this: I can set the price of my tickets. I can’t set their value — and so there are tickets that get valued at that amount of money and go for that amount of money all of the time and that money gets sucked up by the ticket brokers. I said, ‘Hey, let’s have the money go to the guys who are sweating up on stage for three hours.’ If that’s controversial for you, I don’t know what to say.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus has sent some fans a postcard with a lyric from a song on her upcoming album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’.
Following the success of the lead single, ‘Flowers’, the pop superstar has teased the lyric: “Am I stranded on an island or have I landed in paradise.”
Miley recently declared she is honoured “to be the messenger” for her fans on ‘Flowers’.
The 30-year-old singer was celebrating her single topping the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the third week in a row, and she shared outtakes from the song’s music video on social media alongside a message for her fans.
She tweeted: “Flowers is spending [its] 3rd week at #1 [and] as magical as this moment feels I know it doesn’t happen by chance.
“This song [and] it’s success represents the power of YOU! This is your moment [and] it’s my honor to be the messenger.
“It’s fun to dance like nobody is watching but it’s a lot better when you all are dancing with me. I love you.

The track has delighted fans around the world with its message of empowerment, independence, and having no regrets.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rag’n’Bone Man, Ella Henderson and more will be joining The Lumineers at their huge outdoor London show this summer.
The US indie folk duo – comprising Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites – are headlining Crystal Palace Park on July 8, and they’ve announced the starry list of artists joining them for the summer event.
As well as the ‘Human’ hitmaker and former ‘X Factor’ star, UK singer-songwriter Billie Marten and David Kushner, who went viral on TikTok with ‘Miserable Man’ last year, are billed to perform.
The Lumineers tweeted: “London! We’re thrilled to announce the addition of some very special guests to our headline show at Crystal Palace Park on July 8.”
The show is part of their ‘BRIGHTSIDE World Tour’ in support of their acclaimed fourth studio album, ‘BRIGHTSIDE’.

Meanwhile, frontman Wesley previously revealed the album’s title track was recorded in a single day.
He said in a statement about the track: “The song ‘Brightside’ was recorded in a single day.

And the simplicity of the album was inspired by the likes of Billy Joel and Bob Dylan.
Wesley shared: “The idea that Billy Joel brought a level of gravitas and depth to what he was doing, even though it was disguised as pop – (Bob) Dylan and The Beatles also did that – there was an appeal to bring this element to the songs that made me feel like, I can play this for my four-year-old son but the songs are also sophisticated.”

OHMYGOSSIP — T-Pain has covered Black Sabbath and Sam Smith on an upcoming covers album.
The US rapper has tried his hand at various genres for ‘On Top Of The Covers’, which is released on March 17, including heavy metal legends Sabbath’s 1970s classic ‘War Pigs’ and the pop star’s 2014 ballad ‘Stay With Me’.
The ‘I Run This City’ star – whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm – has also recorded versions of Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin” and Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’, plus ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton and ‘That’s Life’ by Frank Sinatra.
He said in a statement: “This covers album has been years in the making.
“This is something I’ve felt strongly about for a long time. These songs are not what you’d expect when you hear that T-Pain is doing a covers album and that is what I think is cool about it.”
To celebrate the record, T-Pain will play two special concerts at Los Angeles’ The Sun Rose on March 17 and 18.
The covers collection is the follow-up to 2019’s ‘1UP’.
T-Pain showing off his vocal talents comes after he claimed he suffered depression for four years after Usher criticised his use of Auto-Tune.
Speaking on Netflix’s ‘This Is Pop’, the ‘Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)’ hitmaker shared how his friend Usher told him that his reliance on the audio processing technology had “f***** up music”.
According to the 38-year-old rapper-and-singer, the two artists were on the same flight heading to the 2013 BET Awards and, while T-Pain was sleeping, a flight attendant woke him up to tell him that Usher wanted a word.
Looking back on the interaction, T-Pain believes the harsh criticism was the catalyst for his lengthy bout of depression.
T-Pain said: “Usher was my friend. I really respect Usher. And he said, ‘I’m gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f***** up music.’
“And then he was like, ‘Yeah man you really f***ed up music for real singers.’
“I was like, ‘What did I do? I came out and I used Auto-Tune.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you f***ed it up.’ I’m like, ‘But I used it, I didn’t tell everybody else to start using it.’
“That is the very moment, and I don’t even think I realised this for a long time, but that’s the very moment that started a four-year depression for me.”
Auto-Tune is a pitch-correcting audio processor for vocals that makes any voice sound in tune but can give it a robotic tone.
T-Pain used this effect from the start of his career in 2003 and was later copied by other hip hop artists, such as Snoop Dogg with ‘Sexual Eruption, Lil Wayne with ‘Lollipop’ and by Kanye West on his ‘808s Heartbreak’ album.
Usher was not the only artist who criticised T-Pain’s use of the effect.
Jay-Z on his 2009 single ‘D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)’ mentioned T-Pain by name, rapping: “You n****s singing too much / Get back to rap, you T-Paining too much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorde doesn’t “want to wait” for her fourth album.
The ‘Royals’ hitmaker is working on the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Solar Power’ – which came four years after her previous record ‘Melodrama’ – and she insisted she isn’t planning as long a wait before dropping her next collection.
She told Ensemble magazine: “You know, it’s my intention, it’s always my intention, to move as quickly as I f****** can and then that ends up taking different forms.
“But this one, I really am trying to. I don’t want to wait, you know, so take from that what you will.”
Although the idea of new material dropping in 2023 might seem a stretch, she teased that “anything could happen”.
The 26-year-old singer noted she is feeling “excited about what’s coming”, admitting she always takes “a long time” to lay the groundwork for an album.
She explained: “It has taken me quite a while [to start working on it]. I mean, I do just take a long time… I do a lot of research, I write a lot down.
“Sort of a big chunk of work before I actually start writing music. So yeah, that’s been a really big part of it. It’s been super exciting and I feel excited about what’s coming.”
It’s too soon to know what direction Lorde will take on the next album, but she has reflected on the mixed response to ‘Solar Power’ as well as her need to experiment on what was her third LP.
She added: “Obviously, some people liked it, some people didn’t like it. I think the third album… you do sort of cross over in a way.
“You’re not new any more, and also you want maybe different things…
“I had real things I wanted that I just had to do with [‘Solar Power’], and I feel more clear and calm for having done that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lana Del Rey scrapped her naked album cover for ‘Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’ because she was “too nervous” to put it out there.
The 37-year-old star – who has just shared the second single from the upcoming LP, ‘A+W’ – admitted she could still release the intimate snap one day but she didn’t want it to distract from the message the record carries.
Speaking to Billie Eilish for Interview Magazine, she said: “My original cover was nude, then I thought about it, and I was like, maybe not right now, because there are some other things I want to do where I feel like that could get in the way.”
The ‘White Dress’ singer also revealed she considered an even longer album title, extending it to ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard’.
She said: “That was a really psychotic day because I was like, ‘Am I willing to literally burn everything down to the ground by having some strange, nonsensical title?’ But that’s a really good lesson because even with the nude photo, it was like, I might not have used it, but there’s definitely something there.”
Lana went on to insist she didn’t want to release the nude cover as a reaction to her critics.
She added about the cover: “The idea behind it was, instead of being exposed for things that weren’t true, I wanted to reveal something about myself that I actually thought was beautiful, but in the end, I got nervous about doing that because I was like, ‘Is this an artistic inspiration that came to me or is this a reaction to something I feel is critical about me?'”
Lana ended up choosing to “play it safe” in the end, but she hasn’t ruled out sharing the image in the future.
She added: “I don’t know if that’ll ever come out, but if it did, I would just want to make sure it came out when I thought it was super fun and not because I had to show something to people.
“That part of the process was a little tumultuous, because I was feeling open, but then I closed down again and wanted to play it safe.”

The ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ hitmaker has predicted that Artificial Intelligence will become the “new technology” used by artists to create new sounds after he deep-faked Eminem’s voice using AI during a live DJ set.
He said: “I’m sure the future of music is in AI. For sure.
“There’s no doubt. But as a tool.”
He continued: “Nothing is going to replace taste. What defines an artist is, you have a certain taste, you have a certain type of emotion you want to express, and you’re going to use all the modern instruments to do that.”
On tech or instruments establishing genres, David added to the BBC: “Probably there would be no rock ‘n’ roll if there was no electric guitar.
“There would be no acid house without the Roland TB-303 [bass synthesiser] or the Roland TR-909 drum machine. There would be no hip-hop without the sampler.
“I think really AI might define new musical styles. I believe that every new music style comes from a new technology.”
The French superstar was just crowed Producer of the Year at the BRIT Awards.
David said: “I am very honoured to receive ‘Producer of the Year’. I have always felt a strong connection to British music and culture. The UK music scene is full of world-class artists and producers so to be recognised like this means a lot to me. Thank you so much!”
Over the years, the ‘Titanium’ hitmaker has produced hits for the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Ariana Grande, to name a few.
Meanwhile, David recently admitted he is “insulted” by the way people think DJing is an easy job.
The ‘When Love Takes Over’ hitmaker – who has son Tim, 19, and daughter Angie, 15, with ex-wife Cathy – admitted even his own kids don’t realise how hard he works.
He said: “My kids joke, if they want to buy something, ‘Come on Dad you just have to raise your hands for five minutes and you can pay for that’.
“I’m like, ‘Oh my God you guys are so insulting. You don’t know everything that goes behind getting paid.’
“People think, ‘This guy is just having fun putting his hands in the air and people are singing his song’. They don’t know I just release one record out of a hundred because my hard drive is full of s*** records!”
Guetta, 55, doesn’t want youngsters wanting to follow in his footsteps getting tricked into thinking life as a DJ is what they see online.
He explained: “People need to understand most of what we see on social media is fake – people are lying. They show up in a car that’s a rental, show a plane that’s not theirs.
“All the girls you see [with them] have never paid for a ticket in their life. That life doesn’t exist.
“If you’re an ordinary person, you’re gonna feel, ‘I’m a piece of s***, a loser’. We can’t have society where 99 per cent of the people feel like they suck.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Mraz is returning to pop music on his eighth studio album, ‘Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride’.
The ‘I’m Yours’ hitmaker is back with the uplifting new single ‘I Feel Like Dancing’, taken from his upcoming follow-up to 2020’s reggae-inspired LP ‘Look For The Good’.
The lead single is accompanied by a feel-good music video of Jason dancing his way to a wedding, which is out later today (15.02.23).
He teamed up with Ed Sheeran and Olivia Rodrigo’s choreographer, Megan Lawson, on the routine.
The full album will be released on June 23.
Jason has also announced a US tour, which kicks off in Edgefield, South Carolina on July 13 and wraps on August 17 with a special orchestral performance in New York.
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old singer-songwriter recently revealed some of the “out-there” places his music has been played, including astronauts in Space.
He said: “I’ve heard it far and wide. I’ve heard it from people backpacking Thailand and coming to a small remote village and someone is playing the guitar and singing ‘I’m Yours’. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting NASA and talking to astronauts out in space. They said they listen to our music. I met President Barack Obama. Before I could say anything he said, ‘Mr. Mraz, Michelle, and I listen to your music every morning.’ That stopped me in my tracks to know a president might put [my music] on his playlist before he leads the free world. I’ve played my music in Antarctica even aboard the National Geographic Explorer for scientists down there. I’m just amazed, but that’s the beauty of sounds and sound waves. Even published works will outlive us … It makes me really aware that songs are really little messages in a bottle. You never know who they are going to reach. But they will and you never know when.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Manfreds are embarking on the last tour featuring both frontmen Paul Jones and Mike D’Abo together.
The ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’ group was formed in 1991 as a reunion of former members of the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann, however without their eponymous founder Manfred Mann, and they are set to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a UK jaunt later this year.
The pair will be joined by original guitarist Tom McGuinness and long-standing Manfreds members Rob Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass and Simon Currie on saxophone/flute.
Tom said: “It’s 60 years ago this December that I joined Manfred Mann and 30 years and more since we got together for a one-off gig to celebrate my 50th birthday, with no idea that it would lead to a long-term reunion. How lucky I feel to be once again on-stage making music with The Manfreds.”
Paul said: “What’s this? Our Diamond Jubilee? Wow!
People say to me: “I bet you never dreamed you’d still be doing this after all these years / decades”; but the truth is that I always believed I’d be out here doing what I do until – and well beyond – this age. The only thing I didn’t know was that I’d still be a Manfred, and (as Mike d’Abo frequently points out) we’ve got Tom McGuinness to thank for that.
“This tour is indeed a celebration: of the longevity of a concept that came together over a long time – and mostly of its own accord.”
Mike added: “I first became aware of Manfred Mann’s reputation with ‘5-4-3-2-1’ storming up the charts, Paul Jones oozing youthful confidence, the band – with a hint of academia about them – had a unique appeal.
Little did I know that, in a couple of years , I’d be joining them as Paul’s replacement. What an incredible thrill and honour that was!
Well… the good news is that The Manfreds are still doing it! Yes, we’re all back together again – Paul Jones, Myself Tom McGuinness – belting out the hits we created all those years ago. What an amazing survival story.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn has posted a piano tribute in memory of the late De La Soul rapper David Jolicoeur.
The Blur and Gorillaz star has paid a touching tribute to his ‘Feel Good Inc.’ co-writer following the sad news of his passing on February 12.
He captioned the 55-second clip of him playing the moving piece: “A loop for Dave. I love you.”
The founding member of the hip-hop group – whose stage name was Trugoy the Dove – had suffered from congestive heart failure in recent years, but no cause of death is known at this time.
The news was confirmed by the outfit’s publicist Tony Ferguson.
David founded the iconic rap trio alongside Posdnuos (Kelvin Mercer) and Maseo (Vincent Lamont Mason Jr) in 1987.
He co-wrote Gorillaz’s 2005 hit ‘Feel Good Inc.’, which De La Soul also featured on.
Tributes have flooded in for the late star, with David’s peer, Cypress Hill’s B Real, hailing him as a “legend of hip hop music and culture”.
He wrote: “His music will allow him to live in our hearts and minds.
“But not only was he a great musician but he was a great human being. He meant a lot to us.”
The sad news of David’s death came just over a week after the highly influential De La Soul were honoured during a segment celebrating the genre at the Grammys on February 5.
What’s more, on March 3, the group’s first six albums will be available to stream for the first time.
De La Soul faced a number of lengthy licensing issues due to the sheer number of samples they had used in the music, which stopped them from having their tunes reach new ears online.
Their hits include 1989’s ‘The Magic Number’ and ‘Me, Myself and I’.

OHMYGOSSIP — S Club 7 are all “up for” releasing new music.
All seven members of the pop group – Bradley, Hannah, Jo, Jon, Paul, Rachel, and Tina – have reunited for a 25th anniversary tour later this year, and they are keen to put out new music if the tour does well.
Speaking at their press conference to announce their 25th anniversary comeback tour this week, Jon Lee said: “It’s something that we have spoken about and it’s something we are all definitely up for but we’re seeing how the tour goes first.
“It’s something that we’re actually really excited about but we’re just seeing how this goes first.”
Paul Cattermole is a tarot card reader and he predicts the ‘Reach for the Stars’ hitmakers are set for success.
He said: “I got a Wheel of Fortune twice and that is good.
“There were other cards as well like the Ace of Cups, that’s passion, new beginnings, your cup overrunning with genuinely passionate emotion or positivity.”
Speaking about their comeback, the band said in a statement: “After eight years it feels amazing to announce that we’re reuniting and performing together again.
“We’re so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7. We can’t even believe it’s been so long!
“Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we’ve ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!”
The group will embark an 11-date arena tour across the UK and Ireland, starting in Liverpool on October 13 and finishing in London on October 28.
S Club are set to perform some of their best-known pop hits, including ‘Bring It All Back’, ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’, and ‘Have You Ever’.
The chart-topping group was created in 1998 by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.
They shot to fame after their TV series, ‘Miami 7’, with the show’s theme tune, ‘Bring It All Back’, going on to become their first single.
They split in 2003, a year after Paul left due to “creative differences”, but had a one-off reunion in 2014 to perform for BBC Children In Need.
When Paul left they dropped the ‘7’ from their name, and later became S Club 3, originally founded by Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Paul, and later S Club Allstars.

OHMYGOSSIP — Richie Sambora is in talks for a Bon Jovi reunion.
The ‘Masked Singer’ star – who was recently unmasked as Potato on the UK TV reality competition – has confirmed he discussed re-joining the ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ group for potential new music, but he’s not sure when they’ll be back for more live shows as frontman Jon Bon Jovi has been having “a little break” after being plagued by vocal issues.
Speaking on Absolute Radio, he spilled: “We’re talking about it. I don’t think there’s any reason not to at this point.”
He continued: “I made the decision when I started to work here in London over the last six months, I hooked up with Hipgnosis and Merck Mercuriadis, and we started to work together and I started to write with other artists and making my own records and now I’m saying to myself, ‘how am I going to ignite this? Let’s put on a potato head!’”
Richie, 63, said of his bandmate’s vocal issues: “Jon (Bon Jovi) was having a hard time with his voice a little bit there and he needed to take a little bit of a breather.”
He insisted he and Jovi, 60, are on good terms, adding: “You know what, there’s no malice. I mean, we did something … there’s not a lot of bands that did what we did. I mean, obviously, bands like The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and U2 (have).”
The former guitarist quit the band in 2013 after 30 years in order to spend more time with his daughter Ava, now 245, his child from his marriage to Heather Locklear.
And he feels he has an “obligation” to give the fans what they want.
Teasing his upcoming projects, he added: “There’s a new (solo) album coming out, probably at the end of March or the beginning of April and (it’s) with Bob Rock. It’s a rock record. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun and the songs are good, and I’m thrilled and I can’t wait to get out and play again.
“I don’t know when Jon’s going to get his voice together and (when the Bon Jovi reunion is) going to happen, but we have to get out there and do it for the fans really. I feel a second obligation.
“I’ve had such a privilege and an opportunity – and this is not bulls***, it’s really true – my life is pretty good, always has been and I get to do what I love to do for a living and it’s a damn good living. And I never really stopped really.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan has confirmed his third solo album ‘The Show’ will be released on June 9.
In an Instagram statement, he said: “I couldn’t possibly be more happy to tell you that my new album ‘The Show’ will be released on June 9th. You can pre-order it now from the link in my bio
“This album is a piece of work I’m so proud of and now it’s time to pass it over to you to go and make it your own. Thank you so much for being there for me all this time and I can’t wait to share the next couple of years of this new era with you. I’ve missed you all so much. It’s good to be back.”
The announcement comes almost a month after Niall cryptically teased a new song called ‘Heaven Won’t Be The Same’.
The former One Direction star had been performing and playing snippets of new music on his TikTok account, and he directed fans to a new website with the URL www.heavenwontbethesame.com.
Upon loading, it’s called ‘NH3 Loading…’
There was a picture of a blue cloud candle flickering beneath a window with a cloudy sky outside.
And the source code read: “KEEP CHECKING BACK EVERY DAY.”
It now has a pre-order link for ‘The Show’.
Some of the lyrics to ‘Heaven Won’t Be The Same’ are: “God only knows where this could go / And even if our love starts to grow out of control / And you and me go up in flames / Heaven won’t be the same.”
The song name is featured on a box some fans were sent in the post with N and H letters on it.
The blue candle from the website is inside and a QR code with the same URL is on the box.
At the end of last year, Niall teased new music this year and an album to follow.
Speaking in a surprise Twitter video, he said: “It’s been a while, which I know you’re very aware of. But I just wanted to give you an update about what’s going on. I’m back.
“I’ve got new music coming in the new year that I’m really, really proud of.
“I appreciate you being so patient with me while I’ve done it. I have a whole new album, too.”
The ‘Put a Little Love on Me’ hitmaker is also planning to play some shows on the festival circuit this year, because it is something he has “wanted to do forever”.
He added: “Something that I’ve wanted to do forever is festivals, and I’ve never really had the opportunity to do it.
“So I think we will be announcing some festivals in the next couple of days and weeks and months for next year, which I’m really excited about. I can’t wait to get back on the road and see you guys all over the world, and have a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see you soon. Love you very much. See you in the new year.”
Niall’s last solo album was 2020’s ‘Heartbreak Weather’.

OHMYGOSSIP — David Guetta has been named Producer of the Year ahead of Saturday night’s (11.02.23) BRIT Awards with Mastercard.
The world-famous French DJ and producer – who is set to perform at the ceremony at The O2 in London with Becky Hill and Ella Henderson and is also up for International Song of The Year for ‘I’m Good (Blue) ‘ with Bebe Rexha – has been unveiled as the recipient of the prestigious accolade, which was received by Beyonce’s producer Inflo last year.
David said: “I am very honoured to receive ‘Producer of the Year’. I have always felt a strong connection to British music and culture. The UK music scene is full of world-class artists and producers so to be recognised like this means a lot to me. Thank you so much!”
Over the years, the ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ hitmaker has produced hits for the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Ariana Grande, to name a few.
What’s more, Harry Styles’ co-writer and co-producer on his GRAMMY-winning solo LP ‘Harry’s House’, Kid Harpoon, has been handed the Songwriter of the Year prize.
Harpoon – whose real name is Tom Hull – will receive his award on the BRITs red carpet.
As well as the former One Direction star, his credits include Florence + The Machine, Jessie Ware and Shakira.
He said: “To be acknowledged by the BRITs this year for songwriting, a beautiful and complex craft, is unbelievable. It’s a dream come true to create for a living, I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone on Saturday.”
The only other winners already announced before the big bash are this year’s Rising Star honourees, R+B girl group FLO.
Harry has tied with Wet Leg for the most nominations with four apiece.
The ‘As It Was’ singer has been given the nod in the coveted Artist of the Year category alongside Central Cee, George Ezra, Stormzy and Fred again…, and is also shortlisted for Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop/R+B Act.
He’s also set to perform on the night, along with Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Stormzy, Wet Leg, and Cat Burns.
Comedian Mo Gilligan is returning as host for the second year running.
