OHMYGOSSIP — Mimi Webb knew she wanted to make music when she chose her stage name.
The 22-year-old pop star was born Amelia Anne Webb but shortened her name whilst she was studying at music college and explained that the two monikers serve as two different personas but was able to combine the two as part of her debut album ‘Amelia.’
She told The Daily Star on Sunday’s Wired column: “Amelia is the countryside girl from Canterbury and Mimi Webb is the pop star who travels the world and does all these things that I always dreamt of. When I was 16, I decided I wanted to change my name to Mimi Webb. That was when I really knew what I wanted to do and was in music college. To put both names together has been so fun and the album is the journey of both those people, of growing up in this crazy industry and learning a lot about myself.”
The ‘Before I Go’ hitmaker went on to add that it is “important” for her to “stand up for herself” as a female artist and learned to do so in the early years of her career.
She said: “As a female artist, [it’s important] to be able to stand up for yourself and speak your mind, vocalise how you want to come across. I signed my deal when I was 18 and the first three years were just grafting in the studio. I learned to stand up for my- self, that’s so important.” And it’s not just Mimi who stands up for herself: Amelia has had to really back herself up and point out how I want to come across a person.

OHMYGOSSIP — Radiohead drummer Philip Selway says the band has a “collective desire” to make new music.
The sticksman insists he and his bandmates – Thom Yorke, brothers Jonny and Colin Greenwood, and Ed O’Brien – all want to work together again in the future, “for the right reasons”, but have no immediate plans while they are busy with other projects.
He told Under the Radar: “There is still that collective desire to make music again together, in one way or another.
“But at the moment, we’re just finding the right context for that and the right projects. But it’s not going to be within the next year, probably. But it will happen because we want to and when you want to you’re doing it for the right reasons.”
Phil – who released his latest solo album ‘Strange Dance’ in February – recently said the ‘Creep’ rockers will hopefully get together again within the “next couple of years”.
Speaking to Prog magazine, the drummer said: “We’re always talking about stuff.
“But in terms of an actual kind of collective project, beyond the ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ stuff that we’ve been doing [2021’s ‘Kid AMnesia’ reissue project and interactive exhibition), it’s kind of further down the line for us when that will happen. We’re talking about that, but at the moment everybody’s doing their own thing. When the pandemic happened, we’d always planned to take a vear off from Radiohead around that, so we could get on with other stuff. But that just meant that those other projects kind of grew, so we’re allowing time for all of those projects to go where they need to. But yeah, we’ll get together soon and in the next couple of years there will be something there, of some sort.”
Radiohead haven’t toured since 2018 and their last studio album was 2016’s ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cliff Fish has died at the age of 73.
The musician was best known as the bass guitarist in 1970s rock band Paper Lace alongside Phil Wright and Carlo Paul Santanna but passed away on Friday (14.04.23 following a battle with cancer, his wife Elaine has confirmed.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “I just wanted to share the sad news that Cliff passed away on Friday afternoon after losing his battle with cancer. The last two years have been very difficult but Cliff faced the challenges of cancer with bravery, courage and lived his life to the fullest he possibly could right to the end. Everyone that knows Cliff will already know what a kind, caring, fun loving, wonderful, genuine person he was and what a pleasure it was to spend time in his company.
Cliff – who is also survived by his sons Rob and John – achieved success with hits such as ‘Billy Don’t Be a Hero’ in the UK and ‘The Night Chicago Died’ before he and the Nottingham band went on to further acclaim in the United States.
During their heyday, the ‘Black-Eyed Boys’ rockers released albums ‘First Edition’ as well as ‘And Other Bits of Material / Paper Lace’ and the whole band came to an end in 1980 eventually reformed in 2015.
Elaine added: “Not only a talented musician and performer, he made a success from anything he turned his hand to in life and was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather throughout. Cliff will never be forgotten and he will never stop being unconditionally loved by his family and friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jesy Nelson has released her second solo single, ‘Bad Thing’.
The former Little Mix star has surprised fans by bringing out a ballad that couldn’t be far from 2021’s controversial Nicki Minaj-featuring debut ‘Boyz’.
The 31-year-old singer sings about a toxic ex in the powerful song.
She sings: “Hey, we started at the end, another second chance, to f*** it up again.
“I know I’m good alone, but you feel just like home. My favourite kind of wrong, familiar as a song.”
In the chorus, she belts: “When I’m about to say bye bye, I forget what I cried about last time.
“Only thing I’m seeing clearly is I’m love blind.
“I would trade common sense for a good time.
“Damn, I’ve done a bad thing, I know you’re damaged goods.
“Is it a bad thing that I wanna treat you good?”
Jesy shot to fame alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall as part of the X Factor-winning girl group in 2011 but quit the group in 2020 to deal with personal issues.
Little Mix continued as a trio and released the hit album ‘Confetti’ together before going on hiatus in 2022.
Jesy was the first to make the move into solo music but Leigh-Anne, 31, signed a solo deal with Warner Records in March 2022, and Jade, 30, has been in the studio working on her album with help from her Rizzle Kicks star partner Jordan Stephens.
And Perrie, 29, has also been working on solo music but does not have a “set timeline” and has been enjoying being able to discover her own sound.
She told Grazia magazine: “I don’t have a set timeline. My label have told me to just go with the flow and enjoy discovering what my sound is going to be, the fact there’s no deadline in my life just makes me the happiest person. I feel so lucky to just be having fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That have sent fans wild speculating a reunion of the original line-up could be on the cards “soon”.
The pop group have performed as a three-piece consisting of Gary Barlow, 52, Mark Owen, 51, and Howard Donald, 54, since the 2014 departure of Jason Orange, 52, but a social media post by the ‘Relight My Fire’ hitmakers has upped speculation that all five members are reuniting.
Robbie Williams, 49, vacated the band in 1995, a year before their original split.
The official Instagram of the group posted footage of the five-piece performing their 1995 hit ‘Never Forget’ with the caption: “Never forget we will have fun like this again… someday soon.”
Take That are on the bill for King Charles’ Coronation on May 6, therefore the picture has prompted speculation all five members could show up on that stage for the first time since a one-off 2011 gig.
Mark said last year he “would love” Robbie and Jason to rejoin the band.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker returned in 2010 to work on their album ‘Progress’ and a subsequent tour.
Although he’s keen to welcome Robbie back into the group, Mark teased another album as a three-piece is in the works.
He said: “I would love for it to happen in the future but I think this next record will be the three of us.
“We don’t need to talk about whether he will come back — it’s like this intuition thing.
“He might — if he knows we are in the ­studio — come down and get involved somewhere, maybe in the writing, because that’s just how it happens.”
Jason quit the band to lead a quiet life away from the spotlight but Mark would also love him back as well.
He added: “I would love the five of us to do something again one day in the future but we don’t know what will happen.
“When [all five of us reunited] in 2010, for us as a band it was really important to make that record.
“To come together and work together for so many reasons, on so many levels — it was really special.
“If anything happens again it will be because everyone really wants to hang out and have fun together and because our diaries have worked out.”

The ‘Take Me To Church’ hitmaker will be joined by Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones’ new side project Far From Saints and rising artist Victoria Canal at the Heritage Live concert.
Promoter, Giles Cooper said: “Hozier is one of those special artists that only comes around once in a while, and he is undoubtedly one of the most talented artists in a generation. It’s been a driving ambition of us all at Heritage Live to stage a show for him and we really can’t wait!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Jones sees his late Stereophonics bandmate Stuart Cable in his dreams “at least five times a week”.
The drummer – who quit the group in 2003 – tragically choked to death on his own vomit after a three-day drinking session in 2010, at the age of 40, and the 48-year-old frontman has had his close pal on his mind ever since.
Speaking on the ‘I Never Thought It Would Happen’ podcast, Kelly said: “Stuart turns up in my dreams at least five times a week. Still to this day, it’s quite strange.
“He was like a big brother to me. He was the one who introduced me to a lot of other music and it was his van we were driving around in.”
The ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ hitmaker added: “Him dying at 40, I’d like to say it was a surprise but in many ways, it wasn’t, because he was that kind of character.
“And he was a very, very funny guy. A lot of those comedians have obviously got insecurities underneath as well but you don’t realise that when you’re younger, you just think it’s all bravado.”
Kelly reflected on their friendship in the tune ‘Anyone Knew Our Name’ from the band’s 2017 LP ‘Scream Above The Sounds’.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper at the time, Kelly said: “One day the album was pretty much done but I had this overwhelming feeling to write about him. I’d been back to Wales to show my kids where I came from and so the writing was inspired by those memories.
“It’s quite a sensitive song and was just pages of thoughts. Stuart is someone you’ll never forget. He was a character that burnt very brightly. He had a huge smile and personality and he was very proud of this band – even when he wasn’t in it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Damian Lewis is releasing an album.
The former ‘Homeland’ actor has signed a record deal with Decca Records and releases his debut single ‘Down On The Bowery’ on Thursday (13.04.23) ahead of his LP ‘Mission Creep’ this summer, but he insisted he doesn’t think he is the next Bruce Springsteen.
He joked to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “There’s nothing more annoying than an actor who thinks he’s Bruce Springsteen. By the way, I don’t. This is a mini midlife crisis, but not a full-blown one.”
The 52-year-old actor’s wife, ‘Peaky Blinders’ star Helen McCrory, died of cancer in 2021 and Damian suggested the tragedy has influenced some of the “poignant and deeply personal” songs he has written for the record.
He said: “It encompasses many life experiences, and won’t take Sherlock Holmes to work out what some of those are…
“I suddenly had a lot to say. People will judge if it’s any good or not, but for me, it felt entirely natural.”
The ‘Wolf Hall’ star – who has 16-year-old daughter Manon, and 15-year-old son Gulliver with his late wife – went busking through Europe after leaving school and he rediscovered his love of the guitar during the COVID-19 lockdown, which allowed him more time to play and write songs.
He said: “I wanted the album to give a sense of a journey to this point, from busking ‘til now.”
Decca Records are delighted with their new signing.
Co-presidents Tom Lewis and Laura Monks said in a statement: “We are so delighted that Damian chose Decca.
“His songwriting is poetic, poignant and deeply personal. The album, recorded just down the road in Kentish Town, has a raw and refreshing honesty to it.
“Damian really opens his heart and invites us in. It is a thing of great beauty.”
Damian has gigs lined up for this summer, including at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Black Deer Festival, as well as London’s Union Chapel.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Simon has announced a new album that is intended to be listened to sequentially.
The 81-year-old music legend will release the 7-track, ‘Seven Psalms’, a 33-minute piece of work that he says came to him in a dream, on May 19.
The acoustic collection is to be accompanied by the documentary, ‘In Restless Dreams’.
In the trailer, Simon explains how the album – his first new material in seven years – came to be, sharing: “On January 15th, 2019, I had a dream that said ‘You are working on a piece called ‘Seven Psalms’. The dream was so strong that I got up and I wrote it. But I had no idea what that meant. Gradually information would come. I would start to wake up two or three times a week between 3:30 and 5 in the morning, and words would come, I’d write ’em down, then start to put it together.
“I like to work and then discover.
Well, it’s really interesting. I’m trying all the time to move things in this kind of flow way that puts you in a dream, and I think if you’re willing to fall into a dream space, you’re willing to let your judgment down.
“This is a journey for me to complete. This whole piece is really an argument I’m having with myself about belief or not.”
The documentary will ponder “how the limitation of your belief always tends to be tied to your conception of your mortality.”
Simon’s last solo album was 2016’s ‘Stranger to Stranger’.
The legendary songwriter – who penned classics including ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Mrs. Robinson’ and ‘The Boxer’ for his folk-rock duo Simon and Garfunkel with bandmate Art – retired from touring in 2018.
However, he didn’t rule out performing completely.
And Simon returned to the stage to play at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival in August 2019, donating profits to local environmental non-profits.

OHMYGOSSIP — Foo Fighters have seemingly shared a clip of their first new music since the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Dave Grohl and co have posted a 13-second teaser of the riff-heavy track and asked fans on social media: “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
Guitarist Chris Shiflett previously hinted the band will make a new record when the time is right.
The ‘Best of You’ rockers – who are hitting the road next month for a series of US headline shows and festivals – were left devastated when their beloved bandmate and friend was found dead in his hotel room, aged 50, in March 2022.
Speaking later last year, Chris said that once they are ready to get back on the promotion bandwagon and feel able to deal with questions about the sticksman’s passing, they will likely make a new record.
The 51-year-old musician – who is also joined by Pat Smear, Nate Mendel and Rami Jaffee in the rock band – said that, on the whole, people have been “respectful” about Taylor’s passing, but he called out the few spreading lies about the cause of his death, which was ruled as cardiac arrest, although an early toxicology report found at least 10 drugs in his system at the time.
Speaking on ‘The Plug With Justin Jay’, he said: “Most people that I’ve encountered have been respectful about it or try to avoid it.
“It probably will be [more of a thing] when we ever get around to putting out another Foo Fighters record and go back into the promo boogie woogie.
“I remember that when I joined Foo Fighters, it was 1999 so it was a while after Kurt Cobain had died but I would watch interviewers twist themselves in knots trying to ask Dave [Grohl] about it but not ask. I would think it would turn into that kinda thing.”
Chris added: “People are pretty respectful but it’s made me reconsider everything I thought I knew about Jim Morrison dying, or Randy Rhoads or any of those rock and roll tragedies.
“Taylor was this big character and he meant a lot to millions of people so I get that fascination with [his death] but so much of what I’ve seen out there is so completely wrong.
“There’s people out there saying s*** like Dave killed Taylor by making him get the COVID vaccine. You’re going to turn it into that? F** you. I try not to pay attention to it but it does make you angry because that s*** is just disrespectful.”
Foo Fighters’ final album with Taylor was 2021’s ‘Medicine at Midnight’.
The ‘Everlong’ group hosted two star-studded tribute concerts for Taylor in London and Los Angeles in September.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding was set to feature on a song with Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams.
The trio decided it wasn’t the “right song” at the time, but the superstar DJ and the ‘Happy’ hitmaker ended up teaming up with pop megastar Katy Perry and Big Sean on the 2017 hit ‘Feels’.
Ellie is quoted by Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column as saying: “I didn’t know we were going to do another song together, we did a third song a few years ago in LA, there was another collaborator on the song.
“It was Pharrell, I loved the song, but Calvin is such a perfectionist he was like, ‘No it’s not right. I want to work on it.’
“And then everyone was just like, ‘This isn’t the right moment, this isn’t the right song”, and then he came out with a whole other project so he put the dance music aside and it was a dance record.
“It was really good I thought, but then he did the project with Katy Perry.”
Ellie would go on to work with Big Sean herself on ‘Easy Lover’ last summer, before reuniting with Calvin on this year’s chart-topper ‘Miracle’, “out of the blue”.
The ‘Lights’ hitmaker recently reflected on how working with Calvin on their third collaboration helped her reconnect with how she used to perform earlier in her career.
She told ‘Capital Dance’: “I’ve always had this higher register and when I did my first album, when I listen back – not that I regularly listen back to my old music – I remember how high I used to sing, and I was influenced by singers that sang exceptionally high.
“I went down to a register that I thought was more cooler and maybe more suited for pop records.
“Sometimes I need someone to say, ‘You can do this’ – it sounds really lame. When I first heard I was like, ‘There’s no way I can sing that.'”
The pair previously teamed up on 2014’s ‘I Need Your Love’ and 2013’s ‘Outside’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blink-182’s first comeback concert with the original lineup since 2014 will be this Friday (14.04.23) at Coachella.
The pop punk veterans – Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker – are a last-minute addition to the billing at the world-famous music festival in Indio, California.
A new schedule was revealed on the festival’s Instagram on Wednesday (12.04.23), showing the ‘Feeling This’ rockers’ set time of 18.45pm to 19.35pm in the Sahara tent.
This means fans attending the music extravaganza and those tuning into the live-stream will get to see the band before their upcoming reunion tour, which kicks off on May 4 at Minnesota’s Xcel Energy Center.
The trio was forced to postpone the start of their jaunt due to drummer Travis’s finger injury.
Their first tour in almost a decade with co-frontman Tom was due to begin on March 11, but after the sticksman injured his ring finger twice during rehearsals for the jaunt, he required surgery, so they delayed the first 11 shows.
Tom told fans in an Instagram video: “This has been something we’ve been aiming to do for so long and we work so hard and we just kind of had one of those freak accidents that nobody saw coming.
“Travis needs to go in and have surgery on his finger and we have to get that well. We have to get that strong before we can do anything else. This is just so sad.”
The Latin America leg is impacted, including the first night in Tijuana, Mexico, plus 10 other March and April dates, which will now take place in 2024.
Tom added: “These were the biggest shows we ever played.
“These are some of the most important places in the world for a band this is like the pinnacle of our career was coming down and playing for you guys. So I really want you all to know, we are devastated and we plan to come back.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Timbaland has confirmed a new Justin Timberlake album is finished.
The producer – who worked on the former N*Sync star’s hit solo singles, including ‘Cry Me a River’, ‘SexyBack’ and ‘Mirrors’ – has revealed fans can expect ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ 2.0 from the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Man of the Woods’.
He told Variety: “We just finished up and everything sounds great. Now it’s really on him how and when he envisions it to come out, but it’s done and it’s coming.”
Quizzed on what it sounds like, he replied: “It’s fun Justin — it’s like [their 2006 blockbuster collaboration] ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ but nothing too heavy, just giving you what you expect from us.”
Timbaland added: “Music is a young sport — of course, we’ve both seen a lot of life, but you have to bring out the 13-year-old kid again, you know? We had songs that maybe were too complicated, so we said we want it to feel like ‘FutureSex’ part two, so we did songs that will fit that.”
The pop star is yet to announce the project himself, so a release date is not known at this time.
Justin marked the 15th anniversary of his “life-changing” 2006 album ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ in 2021.
The ‘Senorita’ singer boasted that the acclaimed LP, which included the hit singles ‘SexyBack’, ‘My Love’, and ‘What Goes Around… Comes Around’, “still hits” more than a decade later.
Justin, 42, wrote on Instagram alongside a series of clips and photos from the album’s era: “15 years ago today, I released my 2nd album… FutureSex/LoveSounds. This album changed my life. Every album is a different chapter and special to me but, this one??? I don’t even know if I have the words. ⁣
⁣”I’m often asked what my favorite song on the album is but they’re all my babies so I can’t pick. But I do know this: album STILL HITS. (sic)”
The anniversary post came after Timbaland teased the sequel.
The 51-year-old DJ posted a throwback picture of himself and Justin performing together on Instagram and wrote: “FUTURE SEXY LOVESOUNDS pt [two]”, alongside two emojis with zipped lips.
No other information was shared by the ‘Apologize’ hitmaker, leaving fans in a frenzy as they tried to decipher what the post could mean.
Earlier in 2020, Justin revealed he had been working on some new music with the likes of Kaytranada and Hit-Boy, and said at the time he “definitely” wants his long-term collaborator Timbaland involved.
Timbaland has worked with Justin several times after first producing his 2002 hit single ‘Cry Me A River’, and has also worked as a producer on his ‘The 20/20 Experience’ album in 2013, and on several tracks on ‘Man of the Woods’.
He also produced Justin’s collaboration with Madonna, ‘4 Minutes’, and multiple other tracks featuring Justin throughout the singer’s career.

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica have offered Bob Dylan guest list for life after the music legend revealed he’s been to two of their concerts.
In a rare interview with The Wall Street Journal published in December, the 81-year-old musician reeled off a list of his favourite artists, and divulged that he’s seen the heavy metal legends a couple of times.
Dylan said: “The Oasis Brothers, I like them both, Julian Casablanca, the Klaxons, Grace Potter. I’ve seen Metallica twice.
“I’ve made special efforts to see Jack White and Alex Turner. Zac Deputy, I’ve discovered him lately. He’s a one-man show like Ed Sheeran, but he sits down when he plays.
“I’m a fan of Royal Blood, Celeste, Rag’n’Bone Man, Wu-Tang, Eminem, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, anybody with a feeling for words and language, anybody whose vision parallels mine.”
And the ‘Nothing Else Matters’ group’s drummer Lars Ulrich has now invited the ‘Make You Feel My Love’ hitmaker backstage so they can “pay their respects”.
He told NME: “I saw that.
“I don’t know if Bob reads the NME or not, but I have one thing to say to him: ‘Bob, you’re welcome at any Metallica show anywhere in the world at any time – but please come backstage and say hello. We’d love to meet you and pay our respects!’”
In the same interview, the ‘Blowin’ In the Wind’ songwriter questioned which contemporary artists were in a position to write a real “standard”.
He said: “Who is going to write standards today? A rap artist? A hip-hop or rock star? A raver, a sampling expert, a pop singer?
“That’s music for the establishment. It’s easy listening. It just parodies real life, goes through the motions puts on an act. It’s a computer model.
“A standard is something else. It’s on another level. It’s a song to look up to, a role model for other songs, maybe one in a thousand.”

The Scottish pop star has announced his “incredibly special’ ballad, ‘Wish You The Best’, will be his next single alongside a snippet of him performing the song live.
He tweeted: “my brand new song ‘wish you the best’ is yours this thursday at midnight!
“it’s incredibly special to me and can’t wait for you to hear it! x (sic)”
The track is the third single from his much-anticipated second solo album, ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’, following ‘Forget Me’, ‘Pointless’ and ‘How I’m Feeling Now’.
The follow-up to his record-breaking debut, 2019’s ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’, is set for release on May 19.
Lewis – who opened up about his Tourette’s syndrome diagnosis in his raw Netflix documentary ‘Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now’ – previously admitted he is “terrified” about the reception his second album will receive because he wants fans to enjoy it, though he insisted he isn’t feeling the pressure for it to be as popular as its predecessor.
He told The Big Issue magazine: “Oh, I’m terrified. I don’t necessarily feel like I have to match it because – unless you’re f****** Ed Sheeran – that’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
“I can’t see having another song that big, because it defies belief. So I try not to think of that.
“But I do feel pressure to at least release music that people who buy tickets to see me would enjoy.
“I like the music I’m making and I don’t think I’ve strayed too far from the path on this new record.
“But it’s definitely nerve-wracking. The more successful things get, I find I’m more insecure about my own abilities. It’s a very strange position to be in. Yeah, I’m absolutely s******* my jocks.”
The 26-year-old BRIT Award winner also recently admitted he fears having to quit his music career.
The chart-topper admitted there is a “very real possibility” he will have to step back from being a pop star if his Tourette’s gets worse.
He told The Times newspaper: “It’s only making music that does this to me, otherwise I can be fine for months at a time, so it’s a weird situation.
“Right now, the trade-off is worth it, but if it gets to a point where I’m doing irreparable damage to myself, I’ll quit.
“I hate hyperbole but it is a very real possibility that I will have to pack music in.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Macklemore told his fans that it took the COVID-19 pandemic to make him “realise not to take anything for granted” as he performed at a sold-out OVO Wembley Arena in London on Wednesday night (12.04.23).
The 39-year-old rapper-and-singer – who released his third album ‘Ben’ in March – shared a poignant moment with his fans before launching into ‘Same Love’, admitting the health crisis enforced lockdowns made him reevaluate what it meant to be an artist and his life as a whole.
He said: “It took COVID to make me realise not to take anything for granted. It made me understand that all that matters is to have fun and spread love.”
Earlier, Macklemore opened his set with ‘CHANT’ – a single from his new LP – followed by 2012 mega hit ‘Thrift Shop’.
The star – real name Benjamin Haggerty – also sang about his basketball dream on ‘Wing$’, while the crowd couldn’t stop jumping around to ‘Can’t Hold Us’ and couldn’t resist singing along to ‘Same Love’.
As well as his adoring fans, Macklemore revealed that a special guest was watching perform on the night; his seven-year-old daughter Sloane.
Macklemore – who also has another daughter and a son with his wife Tricia – ended his hit-filled set by teasing the audience, insisting he would only play ‘Can’t Hold Us’ if a fan managed to grab a T-shirt he tossed into the crowd.
Fortunately, someone was able to grab a shirt, prompting huge cheers when the night’s closing track began.
Australian singer/songwriter Tones and I provided support and performed eight songs from her albums ‘Welcome to the Madhouse’ and ‘The Kids Are Coming’, as well as a cover of ‘Diamonds’ by Rihanna.
Tones and I also joined Macklemore on stage for a rendition of their joint single ‘CHANT’ and on ‘Good Old Days’.
