OHMYGOSSIP — will.i.am wants to work with Britney Spears again.
The pair have just released their collaboration ‘Mind Your Business’ and will.i.am revealed he will always make himself available to record with Britney.
He told Variety: “Whatever, however and whenever, Britney, I am there for her. She’s a darling to work with, an amazing human being. I’ll always make myself available to her.”
Britney and will.i.am previously worked together on 2012’s ‘Scream and Shout’ and he revealed he was a huge fan of the star since she released the track ‘Toxic’ in 2003.
He said: “Portugal, 2007, Black Eyed Peas did Rock in Rio and she was the headliner. ‘Dang, we’re rocking right before Britney. We gotta bring it.’ At that time, I transformed into a huge fan because of ‘Toxic.’ That track changed my life as far as I how I write and compete in that realm. When I heard ‘bleeearn-neearn-neearn-neearn’ [his version of the ‘Toxic’ intro], we produced ‘No, no, no, no, don’t phunk with my heart.’ Same tempo. I told her that. Amazing. The video. The chorus. Even that noodle guitar. I still study that song. The structure, and how she performs it — perfect. That’s when I became an ultra-fan.”
Speaking about how they came to work together, he explained: “The first song I did with her was ‘Big Fat Bass’. Every time I hear that I know that I could have done that better. I love it, but I would change things, still — revisit it. Back then, however, it was that revisiting that resulted in ‘Scream and Shout.’ I had something perfect for ‘Big Fat Bass,’ little catchphrases and its earworms. But ‘Scream and Shout’ became an anthem. She needed something that she could always perform, that would always arouse crowd participation. My follow-up to that, was ‘Work B****.’ Deearn-deearn-deearn-deearn BUGATI. ‘Work B****’ is the sassiest. If any producer asked me for my most avant-garde stuff and my intranational planet-shakers, ‘Scream and Shout’ and ‘Work B****’ are at the top of my check-it-out repertoire.”
And, he is excited for Britney to make a musical comeback.
He said: “If Britney gets into the studio to make a record right now, it’s earth-shattering. You see it when she’s dancing on Instagram. You feel it. She wants to let go. She’s the inspo-est, the most electricity-bottled-up, and ready to burst. She’s love and passion, perspective and introspective. Whenever she wants me to be part of her next project I am there. It’s going to be the most human, something every single person can relate to.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Joel has paid tribute to Tony Bennett as “one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever known” following his death at the age of 96.
The 74-year-old musician took to Instagram to praise Bennett’s “outstanding contribution to the art of contemporary music”, over 20 years after the pair collaborated on the 2001 album ‘Playin’ with My Friends: Bennett Sings the Blues’.
Billy wrote on Instagram: “Tony Bennett was the one of the most important interpreters of American popular song during the mid to late 20th century. He championed songwriters who might otherwise have remained unknown to many millions of music fans.
“His was a unique voice that made the transition from the era of Jazz into the age of Pop. I will always be grateful for his outstanding contribution to the art of contemporary music. He was a joy to work with. His energy and enthusiasm for the material he was performing was infectious.
“He was also one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever known.”
A representative for Bennett confirmed his death in a statement on Friday (21.07.23), saying: “Tony Bennett, born Anthony Dominick Benedetto in Astoria, Queens on August 3, 1926, has passed away in his hometown of New York City at the age of 96 earlier today. The beloved singer, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2016, is survived by his wife, Susan Benedetto, his two sons, Danny and Dae Bennett, his daughters Johanna Bennett and Antonia Bennett, and 9 grandchildren.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Simon can’t tour again because he hasn’t “figured out how to perform with the hearing loss”.
The 81-year-old singer has suffered hearing loss in his left ear over the last few years and he’s thankful that’s he has some ideas for new music to keep him occupied because he’s unsure if he’ll be able to get back on stage again.
He told MOJO magazine: “I have three songs in motion. One of them is finished. It feels like a half-step beyond what ‘Seven Psalms’ is, evolving into something else.
“And that’s literally a lifesaver because I haven’t figured out how to perform with the hearing loss, I’ve tried to rehearse with the guys in my touring band, to see if I could manage it. I can’t so far. This is at least an outlet for thinking musically.”
The ‘Graceland’ hitmaker learned a lot when putting together latest album ‘Seven Psalms’ in lockdown.
He said: “’Seven Psalms’, because I had so much time to be solitary with it – I learned a lot about my musical thinking, how I might implement those thoughts with the instruments I have at hand.
“In fact, I just bought somebody’s big collection of percussion instruments, mostly because I wanted to work with certain bells.
“But I’ll find out whatever else is there. It’s more subtle colours in the palette.”
Paul has realised over the years there is a “cycle” to his creative output.
He explained: “What seems to be still going on is that cycle of every three years or so.
“I’m beginning to write songs again. I don’t say, ‘OK, it’s time to write, I’m going to go to my desk, sit down and start from this hour to that hour.’
“Once it’s going on, I’m writing all day – while I’m walking around or sitting down with a guitar.
“I wasn’t aware of it when I was 12 or 13 and wrote my first song.
“I don’t think I became aware of it until I was in my 40s. It’s a flow. It carries me along. It’s always been that way in my life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Jauregui has grown “a lot” since becoming a solo artist.
The 27-year-old singer shot to stardom as a teenager in Fifth Harmony, but Lauren believes she’s matured a lot over recent years.
Reflecting on her musical journey, Lauren told GALORE magazine: “I’ve released two EPs and four singles on my own. Plus some really beautiful collaborations with my friends, like Snow Tha Product and Halsey. I think I keep getting more and more comfortable expressing myself and like with anything, practice makes for perfection.
“I’ve been writing since before I put it into song format so I think just getting clearer and better at expressing myself through music has been the biggest growth arc for me.
“I’m definitely in the studio now making new things … like I said all these songs were written back in the 2018/2019 era, so I’ve grown a lot as a woman since then and I think that’s reflected in the music I’m making right now.”
Lauren describes her solo material as being “personal, introspective, and reflective”.
The singer has also confessed to being inspired by women who “express themselves and their truth”.
She shared: “I’m inspired by all kinds of incredible artists that have shaped my ear and the way I hear and complete my songs.
“I love singer/songwriters so definitely Amy Winehouse, Mariah Carey, Hayley Williams, Alicia Keys, PINK!, Shakira, John Mayer, Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, Kehlani, SZA, Lana Del Rey.
“I’m inspired greatly by Beyonce and the way she executes background vocals and communicates an entire vision and pulls that into her performances.
“I’m inspired by Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone … I just love women who express themselves and their truth.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Ronson has already heard “some” of Dua Lipa’s new album.
The ‘New Rules’ hitmaker has been busy working on the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ collection, and the producer – who
brought Dua on board for ‘Dance The Night’ for the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack – has been given a sneak peak at the new material.
He told Vulture: “I’ve heard some of it and it’s incredible.”
Referencing the music video for ‘Dance The Night’, he suggested that one key moment could be a big hint of what’s to come.
He added: “I think that’s why there’s the disco ball that smashes in the video, right?
“This feels like her triumphant stomp on that era of her music into whatever she does next.”
Fans are still waiting for a release date for the upcoming record, particularly after Dua backtracked after telling Sir Elton John the collection was “50 percent done” in March last year.
However, in December she admitted the record had “taken a complete turn”.
She told Variety: “When I was speaking to Elton I really felt like I was halfway done.
“But it’s taken a complete turn as I’ve carried on working, and I really feel now that it’s starting to sound cohesive.
“So I’m going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me.”
She admitted the collection is “different sonically” from what’s come before, and teased that the title would make “everything” clearer to her fans.
She added: “The album is different – it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme.
“If I told you the title, everything would make sense – but I think we’ll just have to wait.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar have confirmed their first album for 23 years, and released a new single.
The grunge outfit haven’t dropped an album since 2000’s ‘Happy Ending’, but after reuniting last summer, the group have now returned to the scene with new tune ‘Everything Turns Around’, ahead of their upcoming LP ‘Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees’.
They said: “We are so excited to re-introduce Dogstar with our new single ‘Everything Turns Around’.
“It feels like a fun summer song to us.
“It has an uplifting message and a positive vibe that hopefully makes your day a little bit lighter.
“It’s one of our favourite songs to play live and can’t wait to share it on our upcoming tour.”
Dogstar – in which Hollywood actor Keanu plays bass guitar – will release ‘Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees’ on October 6th, and they will head out on tour next month.
The group will first play Hermosa Beach, California, on August 10th, and will head to Japan in September.
In May, Dogstar – who are also made up of Robert Mailhouse, Bret Domrose, and Gregg Miller – teased new music was on the way.
They wrote on Instagram: “Thank you everyone for the kind comments. We are overjoyed to see such a response.
“Honestly, didn’t expect this. It makes us want to play out even more.
“We will be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some gigs. As soon as it’s all figured out we will let everyone know immediately.
“So much to do, but rest assured, we are on it and have assembled a fantastic team that are helping us.
“We are also going to make a music video to support our first tune. That’s all I can say now. Can’t wait to share our new music with everyone.
“It’s the most satisfying and meaningful batch of songs we’ve ever done. Thanks again for being so patient with us. We truly have the best, most loyal fans!”
A new album release this summer marks 27 years since Dogstar dropped their debut record, ‘Our Little Visionary’, in 1996.
Dogstar had several bands open for them who went on to achieve huge success.
‘Buddy Holly’ hitmakers Weezer’s first-ever show was opening up for Dogstar, and US punk outfit Rancid have also opened up for the group in the past.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora wants fans to “get to know her” again with her new album.
The ‘You Only Love Me’ hitmaker released ‘You And I’ – the full length follow up to 2018’s ‘Phoenix’ – last week, and she admitted her goals for the record go far beyond sales.
She told the Metro newspaper’s 60 Seconds column: “I never really think about what it’s going to do, I just genuinely hope people are going to like it.
“I just wanted people to feel like they’re getting to know me again because when you’ve been in the business quite a while, it’s always important to touch base.
“You know, ‘Hi guys! It’s Rita! I’m still me!’ ”
The 32-year-old singer was also influenced by her own journaling, which was something she’d “never really done before”, while her marriage to Hollywood director Taika Waititi offered more inspiration.
She added: “Just jotting down ideas and notes. My sister’s really good at it and she was always saying, ‘Try it!’
“So I started with words and emotions and feelings and thought eventually that those could be songs and I went into the studio, not really planning anything, and it turned out to be ‘You Only Love Me’, which was the first single and I thought, ‘Well, let’s just keep going’, and we made an album.
“It felt really natural and organic and yes, it was definitely that light that was lit inside of me since meeting Taika and getting married. It just opened a bigger door int the world of love.”
Rita enlisted her husband to direct her music video for ‘Don’t Think Twice’, and she joked that she “put him to work”.
Asked jokingly if having him on board was a way to save money, she quipped: “I mean, I put him to work, babes! [laughs]
“No, it was not. It was to do something together and it was the right project and he was very passionate about the song.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Creed are reuniting for the first time in over a decade.
The ‘My Sacrifice’ rockers – made up of Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips – haven’t performed together since December 2012, but they are returning to the stage next year.
On Wednesday (19.07.23), the band announced: “Creed Nation, the wait is over!
“We are beyond stoked to announce that we will be reuniting on the Summer of ‘99 Cruise, sailing April 18 – 22, 2024 from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Pearl.”
The cruise will also feature “very special guests” 3 Doors Down.
The rest of the lineup includes Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, Veruca Salt member Louise Post, and Nine Days.
Meanwhile, the group teased other plans on the horizon, which may suggest further tour dates in the future.
They added: “We’ve got a lot more in store…”
The band originally split in 2004 as Scott App embarked on a solo career, while Brian, Mark and Scott Phillips formed Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy.
They later reunited in 2009, and last performed together over 10 and a half years ago.
Their last album ‘Full Circle’ also came in 2009, while their other records – 1997’s ‘My Own Prison’, 1999’s ‘Human Clay’ and 2001’s ‘Weathered’ – spawned hits like ‘With Arms Wide Open’, ‘One Last Breath’ and ‘Higher’.
Three years ago, Phillips hinted that a reunion could be on the cards.
He told Anne Erickson at the time: “We’re all in a good spot right now. We feel like we have a good relationship amongst the four of us.”
The drummer noted that there was “no specific timetable”, there had been “some chatter” even then.
He added: “We tend to check up on each other when it’s birthdays and holidays, things like that. So, there has been some chatter, and there’s no specific timetable for anything or no specific plans, but it’s a possibility down the road.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Grennan is already working on his next album.
The singer songwriter topped the charts with ‘What Ifs and Maybes’ – his third record – last month, and he’s not wasting any time when it comes to the follow up, which he hopes to be able to release in 2024.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’m looking to the next album already. I’m going to go away at the end of August then I’ll start in the studio.
“I think if you slow down it’s hard to get it going again. I am in a place where I am still trying to build.
“I’m still fighting and trying to get better and better, so no slowing down. The label said ‘no pressure’, but I’m the one putting the time pressure on me.”
However, Tom admitted there is a balance to strike between keeping himself out there and people getting bored with him.
He added: “But I also don’t want to be saturated.
“If I don’t go away I will get annoying, and I don’t want to be forcing things to buy down fans’ necks, because it’s not about that. It’s about music.”
He’s making sure to take care of himself too, and after a period of sobriety after lockdown, he’s taking another break from booze.
He explained: “I had a few drinks here and there since I had a break but I feel like I am in a place where I just need to knock it on the head again for a while.
“It’s good I can do that. I’ve got a holiday coming up which I’m looking forward to.
“I definitely had to say ‘I’m having a break’, but I feel all my team know how hard I’ve worked, and they work as well.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper’s band, The Hollywood Vampires, have cancelled a second consecutive show – blaming an “unsafe” venue.
The supergroup – also made up of Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen – axed their Budapest concert at the last minute on Tuesday (18.07.23), and they were then forced to cancel their show in Slovakia on Thursday (20.07.23), claiming the construction of the venue, Olympic Fields in Zvolenská Slatina, was “incomplete”.
In a statement shared on Instagram, they wrote: “Upon arrival today to the venue in Slovakia to begin set up for tonight’s performance, it quickly became clear that the construction of the facility was incomplete, and therefore unsafe for both the band and the general public.
“The band is very upset by this recent and unfortunate turn of events, and hope to return when schedules permit.
“This cancellation is unrelated to the recent cancellation in Budapest, but we can assure you all bandmembers are safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you in Poland, Germany and the US in the coming days.
“Sincere apologies, The Hollywood Vampires”
It comes as The Hollywood Vampires were due to perform at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Budapest on Tuesday, but they had to pull out due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
A statement shared on the band’s official social media pages and re-shared by the ‘Edwards Scissorhands’ actor read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Vampires will be canceling tonight’s show in Budapest. All tickets (general and VIP, including meet and greet) will be refunded in full. We love and appreciate all of the fans who traveled from near and far to see us rise, and we’re truly sorry. Sincere apologies, The Hollywood Vampires. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has released his first new song in two years.
The former One Direction star dropped his comeback record ‘Love Like This’ on Friday (21.07.23) – marking his first release through his new label Mercury Records – alongside a video which features him zooming around New York City on a motorbike as he pursues a love interest.
In the song, he sings about diving into a new romance, crooning: ” “I guess there’s love like this/ Usually I never wanna jump like this … I guess there’s faith like this/ Give you everything and you can skate like this/ But I think I gotta take that risk ’cause I can not go back/ And I’m loving what you say, what you say, what you say when you’re on my line.”
The track marks his first new release since 2021 album ‘Nobody Is Listening’ and is likely to be the lead song from his fourth record.
Zayn’s previously releases included 2016’s ‘Mind of Mine’ and ‘Icarus Falls’ in 2018.
The singer previously insisted his new material will sound different to his previous releases. Speaking on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, he explained: “I’ve got a few really sad ones [songs], yeah. “It’s a different sound for me, and it’s got like some more narrative going on like real-life experiences and stuff.”
He added of ‘Love Like This’: “It’s just a summer jam. It’s a good vibe. It just feels like summer.”
The pop star has previously talked about battling performance anxiety and has yet to headline a major solo concert since leaving the boyband but he’s hinted he may be ready to return to the stage,.
Zayn added: “I’m still very nervous now because it’s been a few years that I’ve been on stage. But I have this energy to like, I feel that I have something to give and I want to get on stage and be there again. To feel that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coldplay are reportedly in talks to headline Glastonbury 2024.
Chris Martin and co celebrate their 25th anniversary next year, and according to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, they are in “advanced talks” to top the bill on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm.
The ‘Paradise’ hitmakers are to release their album, ‘Moon Music’, “early next year,” before the world-famous festival takes place in June, and they have a gap in their schedule to fit it in.
Frontman Chris, 46, previously said of not playing in 2022: “Glastonbury is our spiritual home, but even your parents say you need to leave home sometimes.”
Coldplay have played the world-famous festival a handful of times over the years; most recently they headlined in 2016, while a pre-recorded set aired as part of the Glastonbury Festival Presents Live at Worthy Farm 2021 broadcast, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chris recently revealed he needs a team of physios to get him ready for the stage.
The ‘Yellow’ hitmaker admitted it is harder to prepare for the group’s stadium shows now than it was a decade ago and he joked the band need to treat playing such vast venues as soccer players do ahead of their games in the same sites.
He was quoted by the Daily Star Sunday’s Wired column as saying: “As the venues become the same as sports, some of the preparations do too.
“When we were playing bars, I don’t drink, but the rest of the band were drinking.
“And when you’re playing stadiums, it’s like preparing for a big soccer game – you know you’re going to get some muscle issues…
“I’m getting older so it’s the same thing you would imagine a retired footballer would do if you said you have to play this afternoon – a lot of creaking and stretching and asking people to manipulate this and loosen that.”
And Chris admitted he isn’t the only singer feeling the strain of performing as his friend Beyonce has been suffering similar knee issues.
He said: “I saw Beyonce after the Grammys – she’s my hero and sister and everything.
“But it’s funny because I have a knee problem from being on stage and she’ll say, ‘Yeah me too.’
“You have the same work complaints that no one else can talk about.”
The ‘Fix You’ hitmaker doesn’t think he’ll ever be a showman like the ‘Cuff It’ singer, 41, or Rolling Stone frontman Sir Mick Jagger, 79, but he is comfortable with what he has to offer fans.
He said: “I feel we’ve leaned into being ourselves with no fear of embarrassment.
“There’s no way I’m as adept on stage as Beyonce or Mick Jagger but I’m definitely the best at being me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry is embarking on a solo career – but reassured fans of the synth-pop group that they are “confident” their “story has many more pages yet to be written.”
The 35-year-old musician announced her first solo tour and teased her debut music is on the way, and confessed she is both “excited and terrified” about going it alone.
Lauren – who formed the ‘Miracle’ band in 2011 with Iain Cook and Martin Doherty – also admitted that over the years of being in bands, she suppressed “a lot of things” and is now starting to face them.
In an audio-visual on Instagram, she said: “The only thing I ever really wanted as a writer, as a performer was to connect with people. Being the only girl and the only woman in so many bands I’ve been in was a very lonely experience a lot of the time I internalized a lot of things and it’s strange to start unravelling some of that. (sic)”
She insisted: “It’s not an ending and it’s not a beginning but it would be a shame to let this moment go to waste.”
In the caption, she expanded: “This year is the 10th anniversary of the first CHVRCHES album. I met Iain and Martin when I was 23 — a little baby of a person, in hindsight. Looking back on what we’ve achieved together, so much of it doesn’t feel real or even possible. Thank you to every person who has been a part of that.
“I am so proud of all the chapters our band has been able to have and I am so grateful to my bandmates for taking me on that journey with them. We are all confident that the CHVRCHES story has many more pages yet to be written.”
She continued: “For now, though, I am excited/terrified / bewildered to tell you that I have been working on my first ever solo music and will be able to start sharing it soon.”
Of the group’s future, she said: “I am so proud of all the chapters our band has been able to have and I am so grateful to my bandmates for taking me on that journey with them. We are all confident that the CHVRCHES story has many more pages yet to be written.”
The band have released four studio albums, their most recent being 2021’s ‘Screen Violence’.
In February,, Chvrches released the single ‘Over’, the first to be released as part of their new record deal with Island Records and EMI.

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn is convinced Oasis are on the verge of a huge comeback with reunion shows and a new album.
The Blur frontman has previously joked he’s “put money” on his former Brit pop rivals getting back together and now he’s insisted the “road is clear” for warring siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher to put their bad blood behind them and bring the band back for a massive money-spinning venture.
Damon told Consequence: “Well, of course they were gonna [reunite]. The road is clear for them to do that now. I think that’s great. You know what I mean? Obviously I expect an excellent new record to accompany it.”
It comes after Damon previously told The Sun newspaper: “I can guarantee they’re going to reform. In fact, I’ve put money on it.”
While Damon and his Blur bandmates have reunited every few years and have been back on tour over the summer, Oasis imploded in 2009 amid a bitter fall out between the Gallagher brothers. After splitting the band, the pair’s feud has continued with the brothers still sniping at each other publicly.
Liam has hinted declared he’s in favour of getting the band back on the road and blamed Noel for refusing. However, Noel recently insisted it’s up to his brother to make peace – even calling him a “coward” and insisting he’ll never make the call to reunite Oasis.
Speaking on talkSport radio, Noel explained: “Well, I put it out there. [Liam] won’t call … I mean, he should call me, because he’s like, he’s forever going on about it. You’d have thought by now, he’d have some kind of plan.
“He doesn’t have to speak to me. He won’t speak to me, he’s a coward. So he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say: ‘Look, this is what we’re thinking.’ And then we’ll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s being a little bit disingenuous.”
Liam later responded to Noel’s comments in a post on Twitter, ranting: “He’s full of s*** he HATES Oasis fans [but] doesn’t mind them buying his records.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Shut Up and Dance’ hitmakers Walk the Moon are going into “hibernation”.
In a lengthy message to fans, frontman Nicholas Petricca – who is joined by guitarist Eli Maiman and drummer Sean Waugaman in the dance rock group – explained the reason for their hiatus and teased a solo project.
He began the Instagram video: “The time has come for us to take a good, long break from touring and making records together.
“When we do reconvene, that will be a glorious day. And the truth is, we don’t know when that’s gonna be.”
The current line-up formed in 2011, though founding member Nicholas had already started the group with another name in college in 2006.
He went on: “For half of my life, this band has been the main focus of my creative love and energy.
“It is an enormous act of love to carefully lift something like this from the center of our lives and place it gently to the side, out of focus, and let it rest for a moment.”
Insisting it might not be goodbye forever, he vowed that if they ever reunite, the trio will “come back one day stronger than before.”
He continued: “It’s a choice we make powerfully, to follow our truth, to make space for new creations, for family, to serve our well-being, and in the long run, even serve the well-being of Walk the Moon.
“Like hibernation! So that hopefully you come back one day stronger than before. And honestly, it’s a choice that’s been bringing up deep emotions for all of us.”
On their special bond with their fans that has benefited both sides, he added: “Walk the Moon has been the greatest gift to me.
“This vehicle through which my pain and joy and memories and experiences have been transmitted to millions of other human beings in this magical way that gets their bodies, hearts, brains, minds, souls moving… the fact that any one of you has gotten something good and nourishing and nutritious out of that – that gives us life.”
The group have some new music on the way before they go on their break.
And guitarist Eli has “a new musical collaboration in the works,” while the lead singer is “creating a solo project universe.”
Walk the Moon released their debut album, ‘I Want! I Want!’, in 2010. Former members include bassist Kevin Ray, who joined the ‘Anna Sun’ group in 2011, before departing in 2020.
2012’s self-titled LP was the one to feature the 2011 line-up.
Their last studio album was 2021’s ‘Heights’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran surprised fans at his Detroit concert by bringing out the city’s very own rap legend, Eminem.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker, who was inspired to rap as a young child by the hip-hop legend and has collaborated with him a handful of times since, duetted with Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III – on ‘Lose Yourself’ and ‘Stan’.
He was performing at the Ford Field on Saturday night (15.07.23) when the flame-haired Grammy winner announced he was going to attempt to cover his 2002 classic ‘Lose Yourself’.
Ed then smiled: “Let’s see how this goes.”
Just as the song kicked off, the crowd was shocked to see the man himself join Ed onstage for the performance.
They then gave a rousing rendition of 2000’s ‘Stan’, which features a sample of Dido’s ‘Thank You’.
Recently, Ed claimed rapping along to Eminem’s 2000 album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ “cured” his stutter.
The 32-year-old megastar revealed that he has the 50-year-old superstar to thank for helping to fix his speech impediment.
Appearing on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ on SiriusXM, he recalled: “(My uncle) just said to my dad, ‘This guy is the next Bob Dylan. You gotta let him listen.’
“And by learning that record – and rapping it back to back to back to back – it cured my stutter.”
Ed continued: “I think it’s different with Eminem because he is quite reclusive, doesn’t see or meet that many people. I’ve known him now (for) six years and we’ve done three songs together, I’ve played with him twice onstage. He’s another person I really relate to, as he lives in his hometown still and has his eco-system around him.”
The pair previously performed ‘Stan’ when the rapper was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, a gig he refused to turn down.
Ed said: “I remember getting the call to do it. I was shooting … 14 music videos back to back … and it was like on my day off from shooting the music videos, and I was like, ‘I can’t say no. I can’t.’
“So, I got a plane straight after my music video, flew there for the song, and then that night flew back. It was really worth it.”
While reading on ‘CBeebies Bedtime Stories’ last year, the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker admitted he feared he would never be able to get rid of his stutter.
He said: “I couldn’t get the words out and I used to worry that I’d never be able to speak without stuttering … It made me feel different.”
