OHMYGOSSIP — Queen and Adam Lambert are returning to Japan in February 2024 for their first shows there since 2020.
Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Adam – who sings in the place of late frontman Freddie Mercury – will return to East Asia to play a series of Dome concerts, kicking off at Vantelin Dome in Nagoya on February 4, before heading to Osaka and Sapporo, and wrapping with two consecutive nights at Tokyo Dome, beginning on February 13.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ hitmakers admitted it “may be the last time” they get to perform in the country.
Drummer Roger, 74, and guitar hero Brian, 76, said: “We are so excited to be returning to Japan, the country that has always held a special and most honoured place in our hearts. This may be the last time…who knows? We promise to bring a very real spectacular for you to enjoy!” The guitarist almost emphasised that this will be an even more ambitious version of the Rhapsody tour show and among the biggest concerts they’ve ever played in Japan.”
Adam, 41, said: “The Japan shows back in 2020 were so much fun, the audiences were incredible! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to come back. Can’t wait!”
The announcement read: “Since their first arrival in Japan in April 1975 to scenes of fan mob mania, the bond between Queen and Japan has been richly woven into band history. Despite their absence on the touring circuit, Queen’s music continued to be treasured in Japan throughout the 90s and into the 21st Century, thanks in part to their inclusion in TV commercials and television dramas. Featured in a beer commercial, the band’s I Was Born To Love You reached No. 1 on the singles chart. Invited to return in 2014 – now fronted by Adam Lambert – to headline at Japan’s largest rock festival, Summer Sonic, Queen’s status as Japan’s favourite foreign band was reconfirmed.
“Japan is now once again a regular feature on the touring schedule, Queen and Adam Lambert having returned as recently as 2020 to perform four massive sold-out shows playing to a combined audience of over 132,000 people across the country, clearly evident that the bond between Queen and Japan continues to remain as strong as ever.”
Pre-sale lottery for Japanese residents only is open from 12pm on August 10 until the end of October 6. Pre-sale for overseas customers then opens on October 7 until the end of October 25 and public general admission from 10am on October 28.

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey called Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ tour “the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever seen”.
The 69-year-old TV mogul attended 41-year-old Beyonce’s concert at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium last month with her best friend Gayle King and was left “in awe”.
Oprah said on Instagram: “I have never in my life experienced anything like that. I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t scream, I was in awe. I am in awe of that kind of talent, that kind of synergy, what it takes to do that, that kind of expression, that kind of anointing.
“I mean that is a thing that’s coming straight from a source that creates the planet. That is like the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever seen. The most extraordinary show I’ve ever seen.”
Oprah added to Oprah Daily: “My body was vibrating the whole night. I had Beyoncé dreams. And I woke up like, ‘What was that?’ It was transcendent to see all of that come together… And she’s at the helm of all of it, you can see, from every costume to every move. I bow to that. I bow.”
Gayle added: “Some things are worth staying up on a school night and it starts with B…BEYONCÉ!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue wants to collaborate with The Killers.
The 55-year-old singer – who has previously worked with the likes of Nick Cave and Manic Street Preachers – has always “loved” indie bands and thinks she’d enjoy getting into the studio with Brandon Flowers and his band.
Asked about her dream collaborations, she told E! News: “I’ve always loved more kind of indie bands, like The Killers.
“Most collaborations I’ve done have come to me so I haven’t had to make that decision. But whoever I work with, I think there’s always something to learn from people I work with.”
The ‘Padam Padam’ hitmaker recently announced plans for a Las Vegas residency, which will run at the Venetian’s Voltaire nightclub for three months from November, and she teased there will be some “surprises” in the pipeline for fans.
She said: “It’s been a long time coming for many, many years.
“I’ve thought I’ll do Vegas one day and now is the time it’s a brand new club and experience and it’s being made as we speak, it’s gonna be box fresh.
“This is brand new learning experience for me. Everything to do with Vegas.
“What we’re envisaging is you walk into this room and you transport. You’re no long in the hallways of the general areas of the hotel. This is your evening.
“I’ve got my work cut out for me to choose the set list and to make sure I include a few surprises as well.”
Kylie also revealed she wants Margot Robbie to portray her in a potential biopic, joking the ‘Barbie’ star won’t need to worry about mastering her accent because they share the same Aussie tones.

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has asked Radiohead to provide a backing track for him to sing a rock version of The Weather Girls’ 1983 classic ‘It’s Raining Men’ – but hasn’t heard back.
The former Take That star, 49, would follow in the footsteps of Geri Horner aka Ginger Spice, 50, who released her version in 2001, by putting his own spin on the timeless track.
And if he doesn’t hear back from Thom Yorke and co, he’s gonna ask Nine Inch Nails frontman and composer Trent Reznor.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “I want to do a cover of ‘It’s Raining Men’ but I want Radiohead to do a backing track for me.
“But they have not got back to me.
“I keep asking but nothing back. I dunno. I might ask Trent Reznor.”
News of the ‘Angels’ hitmaker’s cover plans come ahead of his two sold-out royal gigs at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk this month for Heritage Live, where he will be reunited with his former bandmate Mark Owen.
The 51-year-old singer is the warm-up act on both nights.
Robbie previously admitted he used to want to be like Radiohead or Oasis and not mainstream pop.
The ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker told the Daily Star: “I went through a pompous moment when I didn’t want to have anything to do with the mainstream stuff I used to enjoy. I thought it was babyish. I wanted to be Oasis and Radiohead.
“Then I was fortunate enough to relinquish those chains and go, ‘Who am I? What do I like? What do I want to be?’ And, actually, who I am is Morecambe and Wise, the Two Ronnies, Bruce Forsyth, Terry Wogan – that sort of British, professional entertainer who brought so much joy to someone like me, and now I hope to bring it to others.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo has unveiled the track-listing for ‘Guts’.
The ‘good 4 u’ hitmaker shared a video of her typing out the 12 tracks on a typewriter for her hotly anticipated follow-up to her record-breaking debut ‘SOUR’, which is set for release on September 8.
Olivia, 20, said in a statement: “For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life.
“I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20 – it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change.
“I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”
She wrote on Instagram: “my sophomore album GUTS comes out september 8th. i am so proud of this record and I can’t wait to share it with you all! u can presave it now! xoxoxoxo (sic)”
The Grammy winner also thanked her fans for all their “support and enthusiasm” over the past few years.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: “so excited about this new album and this new chapter. i cant thank you guys enough for all of your support and enthusiasm. making this album was very fun, and very fulfilling. i cant wait for it to be yours. here’s to all the good times ahead [black heart emojis] (sic)”
So far, the ‘drivers license’ hitmaker has released the infectious lead single ‘vampire’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake sent fans wild by revealing he’s planning to drop his new album, ‘For All The Dogs’, in “like two weeks”.
The hip-hop superstar brought the ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (26.07.23), where he teased fans about the imminent arrival of his follow-up to 2022’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ and his joint LP with 21 Savage ‘Her Loss’.
He told the crowd at the iconic venue: “New York I will be back soon. I have an album dropping for you in like two weeks.”
Earlier this month, Drake teased fans on the opening night of his joint tour with Savage that he has a new record “coming soon”.
The ‘Rich Flex’ rapper was performing at Chicago’s United Center for the ‘It’s All a Blur’ tour with his ‘Her Loss’ collaborator on July 5, when he dropped some big news.
He told the crowd: “I have an album coming out soon for y’all.”
However, it was not the first time the ‘One Dance’ hitmaker had teased a new LP.
When the pair performed at the Apollo Theater in New York City for a SiriusXM special in January, Drake spilled: “I’ve thought about a bunch of things in life, but at this moment in time none of those things are stopping making music for you, so I’ll be here for you for a little bit at least.
“I hope I can strike up more emotions for you. Maybe this year – I might get bored and make another one. Who knows?”
The tour comes after Drake admitted he wants to “gracefully exit” music to make way for the next generation of rappers.
The ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker insists he’s not thinking about retirement anytime soon, but when the time comes to step back, he wants to mentor up-and-coming artists.
Speaking to fellow rapper Lil Yachty, 25, for the first ‘Moody Conversations’ episode on YouTube, Drake said: “Well, I think on a broader scale, I think I’m at the point now where I just wanna — I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day — but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit.”
The 36-year-old superstar continued: “I feel like a lot of people that I’ve watched as the years have gone on, it’s a really addictive competitive space. Oftentimes you’re addicted to the competition itself.”
Reassuring fans that he has no plans to hang up his microphone in the near future, Drake added: “I’m not ready now, but to gracefully continue making projects that are extremely interesting and hopefully cherished by people, and then to find the right time to say, ‘I can’t wait to see what the next generation does.’
“I’ll still be around to work with people or do a show here or there, but I’m not going to force myself to compete.
I would love to just see what the next generation does, whenever that time is. So, I guess that’s the one thing that I want for myself really badly.”

Alex Turner and co have the chance to win their second Mercury Prize of their career with 2022’s ‘The Car’, having previously won the prestigious accolade for their seminal 2006 debut album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’.
It marks the ‘Mardy Bum’ group’s fifth nomination overall.
Comeback queen RAYE released ‘My 21st Century Blues’ independently after a brutal breakup from a major label and has earned herself her first-ever Mercury nod for the acclaimed collection.
Jessie Ware’s ‘That! Feels Good!’ has earned the disco pop star her second nomination after her 2012 effort ‘Devotion’ was shortlisted.
Studio wizard Fred Again.. – who has co-written and produced tracks for Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and George Ezra – has received his first nomination for ‘Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022)’, which is part of a trilogy.
Elsewhere, Grime star J Hus, who was last nominated in 2017 for ‘Common Sense’, has made the shortlist again with his latest record, ‘Beautiful And Brutal Yard’.
The list is completed by British jazz quintet Ezra Collective’s LP ‘Where I’m Meant To Be’, cinematic pop duo Jockstrap’s (Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye) ‘I Love You Jennifer B’, Irish folk music group Lankum’s ‘False Lankum’, hip-hop star Loyle Carner’s ‘hugo’, rising star Olivia Dean’s ‘Messy’, genre-hopping Shygirl’s ‘Nymph’, and experimental Scottish group Young Fathers’ ‘Heavy Heavy’.
The judging panel of industry experts was once again headed up by Jeff Smith, head of music at BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music.
The overall winner of the 2023 Mercury Prize with FREENOW ‘Album of the Year’ will be unveiled on September 7 at London’s Eventim Apollo.
The ceremony will feature live performances from many of the shortlisted artists and the evening will culminate in the announcement of the recipient.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Eagles’ founder member Randy Meisner has died.
The bassist – who formed the band in the early 1970s alongside Don Felder, Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Bernie Leadon – passed away on Wednesday (26.07.23) night in Los Angeles due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the group have announced.
They said in a statement shared to their website: “The Eagles are sad to report that founding member, bassist, and vocalist, Randy Meisner, passed away last night (July 26) in Los Angeles at age 77, due to complications from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD).
“As the original bass player for the pioneering country-rock group, Poco, Randy was at the forefront of the musical revolution that began in Los Angeles, in the late 1960s…
“Randy was an integral part of the Eagles and instrumental in the early success of the band. His vocal range was astonishing, as is evident on his signature ballad, ‘Take It to the Limit’.”
According to the statement, the musician’s funeral details are “pending”.
Randy quit the band in 1977 and was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit, the same person who had taken on bass playing duties when the musician had left his previous group Poco. He went on to release a number of solo albums, including a self-titled record in 1978 and ‘One More Song’ in 1980.
Although he wasn’t part of the ‘Desperado’ hitmakers’ reunion tour in 1994, he appeared beside his former bandmates in 1998 when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in New York, where they performed ‘Hotel California’ and ‘Take It Easy’.
He was invited to take part in the ‘History of the Eagles’ world tour in 2013 but had to decline due to his health issues.
In 2015, a judge ordered Randy to receive constant medical care after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, with court records also showing he had severe alcohol issues.
The following year, his wife Lana Rae Meisner accidentally shot and killed herself.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Ronson ditched some “great songs” from the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack.
The Oscar-winning music-maker was put in charge of producing the soundtrack to Greta Gerwig’s film about the iconic doll and it ended up featuring tracks including ‘Dance the Night’ by Dua Lipa, ‘Barbie World’ by Nikki Minaj and Ice Spice as well as ‘What Was I Made For?’ by Billie Eilish – but Ronson has now revealed there were more songs he could have used but he didn’t feel they fit the tone of the film.
He told NME: “There were some great songs that just didn’t feel tonally right at the end of the day, so they didn’t end up in the film. Everything had to serve the movie. It had to push the picture. There was never any idea of just putting in a ‘hot track’, as they call it, or a ‘needle drop’.”
Mark went on to reveal all the artists featured on the soundtrack were approached about getting involved – and he was surprised when they all agreed.
He added: “Everybody is the best in their lane. And we went after them all. I would have been over the moon to have gotten a quarter of these artists, but they all just kept coming back saying yes.”
Mark also revealed director Greta was so impressed by the song ‘Pink’ by Lizzo she immediately rang the film’s star Margot Robbie to play it to her over the phone. He said: “Greta loved it so much that she ran out of the room and played it for Margot over the phone”.
The producer concluded: “Barbie’s really given me licence to make stuff I’ll never get to make … Films have more fairy dust. I don’t know, it was just very … gratifying to be a part of this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Duran Duran want their benefit concert next month in honour of guitarist Andy Taylor to help the global fight against cancer.
Proceeds from the gig, planned for 19 August at the Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, California, will go to the UK’s Cancer Awareness Trust charity, after Andy left the band in 2006 and revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis last year.
Frontman Simon Le Bon, 64, said in a statement: “We are heading to Northern California to play many of the songs that we wrote together with our dear friend, Andy Taylor, to help him and others in their fight against prostate cancer.
“It is the right thing to do.”
Drummer Roger Taylor, 74, added: “We would like to thank our fans and the organisers of this benefit who have given us the chance to help our longtime friend and colleague Andy Taylor.
“We have always described ourselves as a ‘band of brothers,’ and that has never been more true than in this very moment.”
The Cancer Awareness Trust raises money to fight cancer and helps develop treatments that allow patients like Andy to extend their lives.
Tickets for the upcoming gig are available now.
Sir Chris Evans – the founder of Cancer Awareness Trust – told Rolling Stone: “Andy will receive the latest precision medical treatment, emanating from some recently successful clinical trials, along with the ongoing support that the Cancer Awareness Trust is providing.
“The incredible support of Duran Duran will mean many more people will benefit just like Andy has.”
Andy, 62, has revealed he’s hoping to undergo new “nuclear therapy” to fight his cancer.
He told the ‘Rockonteurs’ podcast how after being diagnosed with incurable stage four metastatic prostate cancer he has gone from not expecting to live much longer to wanting to get back to full health.
Andy said: “I’m starting my nuclear therapy. I’ve been having tests and scans and all kinds of far-out science stuff… so the stage I’m at – which was stage four – like s***, basically, this therapy came into the UK only recently. It’s very, very new.
“Essentially it’s a nuclear medicine. It’s put into your body and it detects the cancer on the outside of the cells and it only hits cancer cells in your bones, which is mainly where it is with me, and zaps them. But if there’s a healthy cell next to it, it doesn’t touch it.
“So it’s not curative, but it can knock out and then it’s got to start again and from what was kind of – I’ll not even say the term they used to have on the thing – but I can get back (to) full fitness. I’ll be fine for five years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Hawkins wishes he got more flowers from fans after one lobbed a piece of chewing gum into his mouth during a gig.
The Darkness singer, 48, added the group get a lot of underwear thrown at them at concerts, but he’s more a fan of non-rock ’n’ roll gifts.
He told The Metro: “I don’t get as many flowers as I’d like. We get a lot of bras and knickers.
“Men’s underpants… wallets, shoes. A bit of chewing gum, which landed in my mouth.
“I sort of had to respect it, because it was such a brilliant shot. But it was also disgusting.”
The ‘Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End)’ glam rocker added The Darkness is “really excited” to be playing their throwback hits for the first time in around decade as they revisit their 2003 ‘Permission to Land’ record on tour.
He added about the group’s 20-plus years in the business and how they tried to put humour back into rock: “There was a lot of sincere music around. Obscenely sincere, to the point where it can’t be real.
“We used to ridicule that. Who are you trying to kid? Where’s the fun? Why did you want to pick up a guitar in the first place if it isn’t to have fun?”
He added the band’s first big hit ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ has become a popular wedding first dance song – but said he loved the idea.
Justin said: “I’m all for that.”
The singer also revealed he is planning to be clad in his trademark glam rock outfits when The Darkness hit the road again in December for a new tour.
He said: “I just opened the dialogue with my costume designer.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Devendra Banhart is finally embracing being a “freak folk” hero.
The Venezuelan American singer’s whimsical tunes and eccentric looks led to him being crowned one of the leaders of the ‘genre’ by fans, and the 42-year-old said even though he initially hated it he’s now proud of being one of its leaders.
He told The Guardian about the term: “I didn’t make it up and none of my friends ever used it.
“I’d rather be called nu metal!
“I hated the tag and wanted to avoid it at all costs. Twenty years later, my licence plate says: ‘King … Queen of freak folk.’
“I go to the airport and go, ‘Freak folk coming through.’
“It’s the tackiest, stupidest thing so I decided to embrace it.”
Devendra added despite the seeming complexity of his name, he would be known as ‘Dave’ if he lived in Rajasthan.
He said when asked if he liked his name: “Very much. It’s a synonym for Indra, king amid the many (Hindu) gods, who correlates to Thor or rain and thunder.
“Growing up in Caracas, Venezuela, it gave me an otherness that was a bit isolating but made me feel quite special.
“Then on my first visit to India I realised everyone was called Devendra.
“So if I lived in Bari (in Rajasthan), I’d be Dave.”
The musician also admitted he regularly gets mistaken for the actor Rupert Everett, 64, but said it was better than people thinking he was someone like Kenny Loggins.
He said: “I like Rupert Everett a lot, so it’s better than being mistaken for a chihuahua or Kenny Loggins.
“Not long ago in the supermarket this guy looked me up and down, said, ‘Devendra, much?’ and walked away. He thought I was a guy that looked like me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Fender considered releasing his music under a pseudonym to avoid comparisons with his brother Sam Fender.
The North Shields singer/songwriter released his debut EP ‘Love Will…’ on Friday (28.07.23) which contains the singles ‘Love Will Conquer’, ‘Time Comes Around’ and ‘Don’t Follow Me Down’.
Liam is aware that his music is going to be compared to younger brother, indie superstar Sam – who he joined on stage for the first of his two sell-out concerts at Newcastle United’s stadium St James Park in June – and he did contemplate using the name “Emerald Fin” on his records to forge his own path on his musical journey.
When asked how he feels but the unavoidable comparisons to Sam, he said: “It’s a funny one. It’s like anything, it has advantages and it’s disadvantages as well. I’m in a unique position where I feel there’s a certain level expectation that other artists putting something out at this early stage might not face. I think we’re quite different artists anyway. But it is what it is.
“Even as late as the middle of last year I was toying with going under a pseudonym. But I’d already built a following by gigging for that long, and doing my thing under my name, so I just felt it is what it is and I’ll put it out under that name.
“The closest I got was Emerald Fin, which is an anagram of Liam Fender, that’s the height of my imagination right there. I sort of toyed with it and then I was like these are songs that I have written for me, they come from a real place, sod it.”
Liam is excited to finally get his six-track EP out and he hopes it will serve as a great introduction to what is coming next on his first album.
He explained: “I’m sure some people will listen to it and be absolutely horrified, and I’m sure there are other people that are pleasantly surprised. I’m just enjoying getting it out there.
“The songs do have roots over the last decade so they are snapshots of points in my life. Hopefully, it will leave the listener wondering what’s next. I really feel as if this EP is a set-up for the next thing, which will be the album, which I’m hoping to get out next year.
“It’s a snapshot of what I’m about. The kind of stuff I want to put across. I’m intrigued to see what the reaction to it is going to be. It’s nice to be putting something out, at last.”
The EP contains a cover version of Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, a song that Liam has played live for years.
Noel Gallagher recently performed a version of the iconic 1980 single in his live shows, and was criticised online for attempting to rework Ian Curtis’ masterpiece. Liam, however, isn’t worried about the reaction to his take on the track but was disappointed when he discovered the former Oasis guitarist had stolen his thunder.
Of the cover, he said: “I never really thought it was that brave a thing to do. I’ve done this version of it for quite a lot of years and I’ve gigged it for quite a lot of years. I always felt as though I always tried to do something different with it.
“A couple of months ago Nigel Gallagher [sic] did his version of it and I was like, ‘You b******!’
“It might be a good thing, it might be a bad thing. But I’d like to think that at least this version of it is different to other versions of it I’ve heard. I just love that song, and I have always loved that song, I think it’s just so brutally heartbreaking. It’s certainly on that list of songs I wish I’d written.”
Liam is now getting ready for a string of live shows, including appearances at Bingley Weekender Festival and Hardwick Festival, and continuing work on his upcoming debut album.
Discussing how work on the LP is going, he revealed: “We’re at the really early stages at the minute, we’re sort of just in pre-production with it. Just getting the basics of the songs down and then sort of into that elimination process of which songs are gonna work well as a body of work, you know. Very early stages at the minute.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blur think their recent Wembley Stadium shows were their “best ever” gigs.
The ‘Narcissist’ hitmakers have been performing together for over 30 years but don’t think anything they’ve done can compare to their two recent huge London concerts.
Speaking to Matt Wilkinson on Apple Music 1, frontman Damon Albarn said: “Yeah. I think it was. The Sunday night was the best ever concert.
“Thank God I turned away because you can see my body was like that. It was this guy to my left who was I think from Argentina with a few other people, and he’s just so emotional. That hit a nerve inside me.”
Bassist Alex James added: “I was doing live telly yesterday, and the person sitting next to me had been to the gig, and they said, ‘How was Wembley?’
“And she just started absolutely gushing and then I nearly started crying.”
Despite the huge size of the venue, the quartet – which also includes guitarist Graham Coxon and drummer Dave Rowntree – found the gigs felt intimate because the set-up meant they could see the faces of the crowd.
Alex said: “I think what’s different about Wembley is there’s more people and they’re all stacked up on top of each other…
“A certain artist who would prefer to remain anonymous said afterwards, ‘It was like watching four guys have a kick around in the park, but the park was Wembley Stadium.’
“It did feel like a pub gig, just the people going absolutely insane.”
Dave added: “Well, you don’t normally see it. The good thing about Wembley was it’s actually, the footprint of the place is quite small, so all the people, you can actually see the faces of the people.
“And we started playing in the daytime, which we don’t normally do, so again, you could actually see the effect the songs are having.”
Damon agreed: “But the fact is you’re really small. On the stage, you look like ants. And if you thought like that, if you actually could realise that perspective while you’re on stage, you’d be so intimidated by it.”
And the band appreciated the quality of the sound within Wembley.
Alex said: “The other good thing about Wembley, it’s really, really loud. You can’t go that loud in Hyde Park.
“But just in terms of the sound on stage, because I think because we were able to get in there the day before and just bed in.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott’s show at the Pyramids of Giza has been cancelled due to “complex production issues”.
The 32-year-old star had been due to launch his upcoming album ‘Utopia’ with a concert and livestream at the Egyptian landmark which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – on July 28 but promoters Live Nation have now confirmed the event isn’t going ahead because it has proven logistically too difficult to pull off.
Live Nation Middle East confirmed in a statement: “We regret to inform you that the Utopia show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled. Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert.
“We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.
“Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders at their point of purchase. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused and appreciate your understanding. We remain committed to bringing exceptional live performances to fans and hope to have the opportunity to do so in the future.”
But Travis is determined to stage the show at some point in the future.
He tweeted: “Egypt at the pyramids will happen
“But due to demand and detail logistics
“They just need a bit a time to set lay on lands. I will keep u posted on a date which will be soon love you alllll (sic)”
And the ‘Astroworld’ hitmaker teased he’s got four similar events in the pipeline.
He added in a follow-up post: “But in good news I had 4 more of these type of experiences in other places. COORDINATES SOON REACH (sic)”
The cancellation comes a few weeks after the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate suggested the show was being cancelled due to safety issues and “peculiar rituals performed by the star during his performance, contradicting our authentic societal values and traditions.”
But Live Nation denied that was the case at the time.
They said in a statement: “There have been no changes to Travis Scott’s show in Egypt; any reports to the contrary are false.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom DeLonge has teased that the new Blink-182 album is “probably” their “best” one yet.
The pop punk veterans – also including co-frontman Mark Hoppus, 51, and 47-year-old drummer Travis Barker – reunited with original co-frontman Tom onstage in April at Coachella before embarking on their world tour the following month and released the new single ‘EDGING’ in October, their first with the original member since their 2011 LP ‘Neighbourhoods’.
And Tom, 47, says fans are in store for a treat when their comeback record is finally released as they’ve been on a “nostalgia” trip.
Speaking in an interview to promote his limited-edition Fender Stratocaster guitar, he said: “I still think we’re writing our best songs. I think our album coming out is probably our best album we’ve ever made.”
He said of their reunion tour: “The production that we brought on this tour is finally the first perfect, cohesive branding and symbol of everything that the band is about. It’s got the nostalgia in there and the history in there, but it’s also got the fun and reverence and childhood charm. And it’s got the rebellion, but it’s got the technology too.”
Tom added: “So it’s this really cool rebirth of everything – or the best of everything that we’ve done, but done the way people always wished we would have done it! [They’re] like, ‘Right, you guys aren’t half bad now!’ You know? ‘Thank you!’”
Before reuniting with Tom, Blink released 2016’s ‘California’ and 2019’s ‘Nine’ with his stand-in, Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba.
Blink-182 announced their reunion and plans for a world tour in 2022.
And Mark, who battled stage 4 cancer before being declared free of the disease in September 2021, previously admitted that he felt relieved to share the news with the world.
He told ‘After School Radio’ on Apple Music Hits: “Man, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. That was a burden to carry that secret for so long.”
