OHMYGOSSIP — Matty Healy is reportedly set to reunite with Taylor Swift on her new album.
The 1975 frontman – who was romantically linked with the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker earlier this year – will appear on a song on her upcoming record.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Taylor and Matty recorded the song when they were dating.
“They’re not even in contact any more but there’s no hard feelings and Taylor will still release the tune.”
Taylor was a “big fan” of the group before she and Matty – who never directly addressed the speculation – were linked, and the group hit the studio with her during sessions for 2022 LP ‘Midnights’.
The insider added: “The band worked with her on her Midnights album but the songs they made never came out.
“She has a few tracks with the band to choose from but she’ll release the tune they made while they were together.”
Taylor is set to drop the re-recorded version of ‘1989’ on October 27, with 21 songs included five from her unreleased vault.
The five tracks were penned for the original 2014 album, but didn’t make the cut.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker is working her way through re-recording her first six albums to reclaim ownership of them following a masters dispute with her former record label Big Machine Records.
So far, she has released ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’, ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ and ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’.
The ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker moved away from her country-tinged sound for 80s pop on ‘1989’ and has teased the “insane” From The Vault tracks.
She wrote on Instagram earlier this year: “To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane.
“I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Fletcher has been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
The 29-year-old singer songwriter – whose real name is Cari Elise Fletcher – has revealed her diagnose alongside a photo of herself receiving treatment after becoming “increasingly ill” over the past couple of years.
In a lengthy statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), she said: “I started to become increasingly ill over the last couple years and just kept pushing even though I knew there was something deeper going on.
“For the last few months, I’ve been receiving treatments following doctor’s orders and doing my best to learn more about this invisible illness.
“Lyme has affected me in a variety of ways and while it has not only taken a tremendous toll on my physical body, it has also caused concern for my voice as well.
“This has worn on my soul in a way that’s hard to even put words to as singing is the thing I love most in this world and my voice is my vessel for expression.”
Due to her health struggles, she has postponed her upcoming tours of the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand until some time in 2024, with the rescheduled dates yet to be revealed.
She continued: “You all know how much I love performing and seeing you on the road and I’m truly heartbroken to let you down.
“I debated on whether or not I wanted to speak about this publicly, but I’ve always let you into my world through the good, the bad, and the ugly and I don’t want to stop sharing with you now.
“Unfortunately, touring and singing every night just isn’t something my body is capable of in this moment and I want to show up for you all [100 percent] and give you the best show that I know that I have in me and one that you deserve.”
Information on the new tour dates will appear on her website “shortly”, while tickets to the original shows will be honoured in 2024.

OHMYGOSSIP — NSYNC are back with their first song in 20 years.
The group’s new tune, ‘Better Place’, appears in a trailer for forthcoming DreamWorks Animation film ‘Trolls Band Together’, and comes after the band – Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone – reunited at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday night (12.09.23).
A snippet of the song, which is available on September 29th, can be heard in the trailer, along with NSYNC’s 1997 track ‘I Want You Back’.
The third ‘Trolls’ movie, which is due to hit cinemas on November 17th, tells the story of couple Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake).
Poppy discovers Branch was once part of a boyband, BroZone, with his four brothers.
This comes after NSYNC appeared together at the VMAs on Tuesday, 10 years after their final public performance at the awards show.
They took to the stage to present the Best Pop award, which was one of the nine prizes Taylor Swift took home on the night.
JC told the crowd: “Over 20 years ago we were here when we won Best Pop Video for ‘Bye Bye Bye’. It was our first VMA and it meant the world to us.”
Chris added: “That award validated our hard work.”
A visibly stunned Taylor, who admitted she had dolls of the group during her youth, asked the ‘Tearin’ Up My Heart’ hitmakers what their plans are for the future.
She said: “Are you doing something? What’s gonna happen now? They’re gonna do something and I need to know what it is.”
But the quintet remained coy.
She added: “You guys are pop personified so to receive this from your golden pop hands is really, it’s too much.”
It comes after JC, Lance, Chris and Joey briefly performed with Justin during a medley at the 2013 VMAs, as part of the singer winning the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award that night.

OHMYGOSSIP — Late Grunge legend Chris Cornell is to be immortalised in a rock opera.
The Soundgarden frontman’s Temple of the Dog bandmate, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, is hoping to turn the project he’s working on about the legendary Seattle music scene – the epicentre of Grunge with the likes of Mudhoney, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, and Soundgarden – into a stage show.
And he’s confirmed that it will pay tribute to Cornell – who tragically died by suicide in 2017 aged 52 – among other legends from the scene.
He told Guitar World: “I look at him as one of the greatest singers and songwriters of all time, aside from being a friend.
“I love Chris and I’m working on a little project about the Seattle scene and a musical kind of rock opera thing. It’s just from my experience in the Seattle music scene, and he’s part of it.”
On the lengthy process, McCready added: “I’m working on a script and I’ve got about 18 songs that I’m working on, and I’m singing on it. It’s been a long journey.”
Last month, the musician shared a clip of him performing the tribute song ‘Crying Moon’ in memory of his late friend.
He captioned the clip: “This is a song I wrote as a goodbye to my friend Chris Cornell. Crying Moon is part of my process in dealing with his death. Chris opened up my world to new heights when he let me play on Temple Of The Dog. When he agreed to sing on Mad Season as part of the Sonic Evolution show with the Seattle Symphony, I literally jumped for joy! The Temple Of The Dog reunion at that show inspired us to tour, which was amazing. Playing War Pigs live with Chris was a dream. I love and miss him…”
Elsewhere, the 57-year-old guitarist revealed Pearl Jam’s follow-up to 2020’s ‘Gigaton’ is nearing completion.
He said: “I think there’s a few tweaks here and there that have to happen, and we’re probably not going to have anything out this year.”
He hailed producer Andrew Watt for pushing them outside their comfort zone.
The ‘Alive’ rocker said: “Watt got us into a room and just pushed us as hard as we could be pushed, you know, it’s hard for a quote-unquote outsider to come into our world because we’ve done things a certain way. We’re open to new things, but we are also in our own world. We’ve done things for 30 years. So we know the dynamics of our band very well. But sometimes we need to get pushed and questioned, and Andrew did a great job of that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sia is set to release her first solo pop album in eight years, ‘Reasonable Woman’, in Spring 2024.
The ‘Unstoppable’ hitmaker treated fans to the hypnotic new single ‘Gimme Love’ on Wednesday (13.09.23)
The record will be the follow-up to 2016’s ‘This Is Acting’.
Many of those tracks were penned for other artists such as Rihanna (‘Cheap Thrills’), Adele (‘Alive’) and Shakira (‘Move Your Body’).
In 2017, the 47-year-old singer-songwriter released the festive LP ‘Everyday Is Christmas’.
Sia released ‘Music – Songs from and Inspired by the Motion Picture’ in 2021, 10 original tracks from her musical film ‘Music’, which she directed and co-wrote.
A few months ago, Sia revealed she was diagnosed with autism.
The ‘Chandelier’ singer – who married partner Dan Bernard earlier in the month – shared how she was in “recovery” after she discovered she is “on the spectrum”, and also revealed she is sober.
She said during a conversation with ‘Survivor’ season 44 finalist Carolyn Wiger on the show’s former contestant Rob Cesternino’s ‘Rob has a Podcast’: “I’m on the spectrum, and I’m in recovery and whatever – there’s a lot of things.
“For 45 years, I was like… ‘I’ve got to go put my human suit on.’ And only in the last two years have I become fully, fully myself.
“Nobody can ever know and love you when you’re filled with secrets and… living in shame, and when we finally sit in a room full of strangers and tell them our deepest, darkest, most shameful secrets, and everybody laughs along with us, and we don’t feel like pieces of trash for the first time in our lives, and we feel seen for the first time in our lives for who we actually are, and then we can start going out into the world and just operating as humans and human beings with hearts and not pretending to be anything.”
Sia did not disclose exactly when she was diagnosed with the developmental condition, which can cause social anxiety and difficulty empathising with other people.

OHMYGOSSIP — Exes Drake and SZA have hooked up on a new track on the former’s hotly anticipated LP ‘For All The Dogs’.
The pair both shared what appears to be the artwork for the currently untitled song on Instagram – a picture of Hollywood star Halle Berry covered in green slime at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.
It comes with a Parental Advisory warning.
SZA is tagged in Drake’s post which simply has the embarrassed face emoji and a green love heart.
The ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker also shared the same artwork to her profile and tagged her ex-lover.
The single is expected to arrive on Friday (15.09.23).
‘For All The Dogs’ is released on September 22, it will also feature collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny.
The lead single ‘Search and Rescue’ arrived back in April.
SZA previously gushed that she thinks “highly” of the ‘Rich Flex’ rapper.
Back in 2020, the ‘I Hate U’ singer corrected Drake on the year they dated after he rapped they had a romance in 2008.
The ‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker claimed on his track, ‘Mr. Right Now’, which features 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, the pair dated in 2008.
He spit: “Yeah, said she wanna f*** to some SZA, wait. ‘Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08.”
However, if it was 2008, that would have meant SZA would have been just 17 and Drake around 21.
And the ‘Good Days’ star wanted to make sure people know it was actually 2009 because she didn’t want anyone thinking anything “underage or creepy” went down.
She tweeted reacting to the lyric: “So It was actually 2009 lol.. in this case a year of poetic rap license mattered.
lol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait.
“Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace. (sic)”
She added: “I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening . Completely innocent. Lifetimes ago.”
The star insisted things have never been “weird” between them since their split and they have nothing but kind things to say about each other.
SZA told Audacy last year: “We’re cool. And we’ve always been cool. It’s never been weird.
Anytime he’s ever mentioned me, it’s always been positive.

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion is no longer performing at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival.
The ‘Savage’ rapper was due to appear at the annual music event that aims to end extreme poverty by 2030 in New York’s Central Park on September 23.
However, the 28-year-old star will no longer be able to perform as planned because of a “scheduling conflict”.
A statement on the event’s official X page read: “Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Megan Thee Stallion will no longer be available to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival.”
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker was just at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) where she reunited with Cardi B for the live debut of their new song ‘Bongos’.
And the rapper was forced to dismiss rumours she had a furious bust-up with Justin Timberlake backstage at the glitzy bash.
The ‘Thot S***’ rapper was caught on video at the ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, apparently showing her dramatically waving her hands and shouting at 42-year-old ‘Cry Me a River’ singer Justin.
But the star brushed off talk it was part of a row by posting a TikTok video on Wednesday (13.09.23) that showed her smiling and dancing next to Justin while making hand gestures toward the camera.
She explained in a caption how she always “talks” with her hands: “I just talk with my hands lol.”
Megan added: “@justintimberlake love ya .”
Page Six reported she and Justin filmed the explanation video at the VMAs afterparty at TAO Downtown in the Skybox private dining room after talk started to spread they were involved in a fight.
Sources said they partied there until 2am on Wednesday.
Fans flooded social media with messages of support for Megan after she posted the video, with some saying it is typical for her to “talk with her hands”, making her look angry.
Multiple insiders also confirmed to Page Six their VMAs encounter was friendly.
One told the outlet: “Meg loves Justin. She was saying, ‘No, no, no, we’ve never met before.’
“It was their first time meeting, and she was excited.”
The event saw Justin reunited with his *NSYNC bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone – before news of their reunion track, ‘Better Place’, which features in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film ‘Trolls Band Together’, was unveiled.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ezra Collective have won the Mercury Prize for the best British or Irish album of the last 12 months.
The jazz quintet won the £25,000 prize for their album ‘Where I’m Meant To Be’ at the Eventim Apollo in London on Thursday night (07.09.23).
After collecting their award, Femi Koleoso, the group’s lead drummer, said on stage: “Wow. Wow. First of all, let me thank God, because if a jazz band winning the Mercury Prize doesn’t make you believe in God, I don’t know what will. Do you hear what I’m saying?
“Secondly, I need to thank … it’s five of us here represented right now, but Ezra Collective represent an entire family, do you hear what I’m saying?”
Femi also praised the efforts of organisations throughout the UK who support young musicians.
He said: “Ezra Collective represent something very special because we met in a youth club, do you hear what I’m saying? This moment that we’re celebrating right here is testament to good, special people putting time and effort into young people to play music.
“Right now, this is not just a result for Ezra Collective, this is not just a result for UK jazz, but this is a special moment for every single organisation across the country ploughing their efforts and time into young people playing music.”
The group – who wrote and recorded their award-winning album amid the COVID-19 lockdown – overcame competition from the likes of Jessie Ware, J Hus, Arctic Monkeys, Fred Again and Raye to win the coveted award.
The show – which was hosted by broadcaster Lauren Laverne – featured live performances from nine of the shortlisted artists, including rapper Loyle Carner and soul singer Olivia Dean.

OHMYGOSSIP — Fall Out Boy are hitting the road with Jimmy Eat World next year.
The bands have come together to announce the ‘So Much for (2our) Dust’ trek which kicks off in Portland, Oregon on February 28 and covers US cities including Seattle, Austin, Orlando, Baltimore, New York, Nashville and Milwaukee before wrapping up in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 6.
The news was announced on Fall Out Boy’s social media pages with a statement declaring: “The sequel has arrived. So Much For (2our) Dust is coming back around to the US next year.This time we’re bringing @jimmyeatworld on the whole tour.”
Other artists to feature as support acts will include The Maine, Hot Mulligan, Daisy Grenade, Games We Play and CARR.
The band’s previous tour dates featured fellow rockers Bring Me the Horizon. Fall Out Boy have also scheduled shows in Europe and Australia for 2023 with stops in the UK and Germany before they head Down Under in December.
Fall Out Boy released their new album ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ in March and they also launched bizarre limited edition vinyl version filled with real tears for “maximum emotional fidelity”. The so-called Crynyl records sold out of pre-orders within an hour with just 50 copies available, although the band said some have been held back for a giveaway.
The package included a double-sided, tear-filled LP in a gatefold box with built-in tissue dispenser. On the Crynyl site for the special edition album, it reads: ‘Music is more than just sound waves. It’s passion, struggle, and emotion. ‘That’s why we developed a new kind of record: one that contains the artists’ actual tears. ‘When you listen to a Crynyl release, you’re not just listening to what the artist played, you’re feeling what they felt.” The band joked that the records “may contain eyeliner traces”. They added: “Every Crynyl release is filled with actual tears from the artist. “We gather tears samples using sterile collection kits, dilute them into a sonically-optimized solution, then seal them into each record using proprietary Crynylseal technology.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo feels “excited, nervous [and] proud” about the release of her new album.
The 20-year-old singer-and-actress has released ‘GUTS’, the follow-up to her 2021 debut LP ‘Sour’ and she’s expressed her gratitude for the support of her fans and the team she works with in helping her come so far in her career.
She wrote in a journal entry shared online for fans to read: “I feel so many feelings. I feel excited, nervous, proud, but mostly I feel so grateful. I feel grateful for everyone on my team who believes in me and supports me so unwaveringly.
“I feel so immensely grateful for everyone who has so generously supported me over the past few years. Thank you to everyone who has listened and streamed and been sooo kind. I owe so much to you guys and I really hope you gid these new songs.(sic)”
The ‘vampire’ singer recently revealed she had come up with the title for ‘GUTS’ “a few years ago”.
She told Hits Radio: “I am so excited that ‘Guts’ is coming out so soon. I came up with the name a few years ago, in fact before ‘Sour’ even came out, I just really liked the word, the way it looks written down. I like the way it sounds, I like how it has so many meanings.
“I hope people scream it and dance to it and I hope it helps them understand and process their feelings in some way, that’s certainly what it was for me.”
Olivia also revealed stories she sees on TikTok have inspired some of her songs.
She said: “I wrote ‘Traitor’ in my bedroom when I was very sad one day, and I actually came up with the idea for a song when I was looking at a TikTok. I saw a girl who was kind of going through a similar situation to what I was going through, and she was kind of feeling these same feelings that I had been going through for a while. For some reason watching her talk about how she felt about it gave me some clarity on how I felt.
“Super random but TikTok can sometimes be very productive – you heard it here first!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is set to perform two special shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November.
The 32-year-old pop star has announced that he’ll perform his upcoming album, ‘Autumn Variations’, in full on November 18 and 19, when he’ll be accompanied by a live band and a string section at the iconic venue.
The shows will, in fact, be Ed’s last performances in the UK in 2023.
Ed did something similar with his previous album release, when he performed ‘-‘ in full alongside producer Aaron Dessner and a live band at the Eventim Apollo in London.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker announced details of his upcoming album in August, when he also revealed his inspiration behind the record.
Ed explained: “Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded.
“When I went through a difficult time at the start of last year, writing songs helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was going on, and when I learned about my friend’s different situations, I wrote songs, some from their perspectives, some from mine, to capture how they and I viewed the world at that time. There were highs of falling in love and new friendships among lows of heartbreak, depression, loneliness and confusion.
“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. This is what inspired me to make this album.
“When I recorded ‘-‘ with Aaron Dessner, we clicked immediately. We wrote and recorded non-stop and this album was born out of that partnership. I feel he has captured the feeling of autumn so wonderfully in his sonics and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keane “didn’t really know what [they] were doing” when they released their debut album.
The band – which currently features Tom Chaplin, Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes, and Jesse Quin – released their debut album, ‘Hopes and Fears’, back in 2004, and frontman Tom has confessed that they were really uncertain of themselves at the time.
He told NME: “We didn’t really understand how to make it all work – we were just three kids from a small town in the middle of nowhere, so we didn’t we didn’t have many reference points. We didn’t really know what we were doing.”
The band’s debut album will be reissued on May 10, 2024 – two decades on from its original release.
Despite this, Tom still has vivid memories of launching their debut record.
He shared: “I feel like I’ve lived quite a lot of life in the last 20 years.
“To me, it does actually feel like quite a long time ago. The release of this album was the point at which all our lives changed very dramatically, and it feels like a marker of time, after which so much stuff, both good and bad, has come along. It sticks very clearly in the memory.”
Keane spent years performing in venues around the UK before they released their debut album.
And on reflection, Tom thinks the six-year gap between their first gig and their debut album was “about right”.
He said: “We had to learn what we were best at as musicians, and had to learn how to write songs. My voice developed lots over that time as well, and it was a long and fairly slow learning curve for all of us.
“It was a relief in a way that we were able to do nearly all of our early gigs in private, and there’s not very much that remains [online]. I saw a video the other day of us playing at the Bull and Gate [in Kentish Town, London] in around ‘98, ‘99. It’s very sweet, but we definitely weren’t the finished article at that point.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo is set to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The 20-year-old singer – who has actually been nominated for five gongs – is poised to perform at the upcoming awards show, which is being staged at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on September 12.
The chart-topping star previously performed at the VMAs in 2021, when she sang her hit single ‘Good 4 U’.
Olivia has been nominated for the Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Cinematography and Best Editing accolades for her single ‘Vampire’.
The track features on Olivia’s new album, ‘Guts’, which she’s been busily promoting over recent weeks.
The pop star previously claimed that she’s “grown so much” since releasing her debut album.
Olivia released ‘SOUR’ in May 2021, and Olivia feels like she’s become a much more confident person because of everything she’s experienced.
She told PEOPLE: “The process of making ‘SOUR’, and putting it out in the world really challenged me, and I’ve grown so much, and I’ve learned so much more about myself.
“I definitely feel like I am a more confident person today because of it.”
Olivia still considers herself to be a “hopeless romantic”.
But the chart-topping star also thinks she’s changed over recent times.
She said: “I felt definitely differently about love when I wrote ‘SOUR’ versus now. I think when you’re going through a heartbreak like that, you can get really disillusioned with the concepts of relationships.
“But now I’m at a place where I’m so happy that I went through all of that, and have so much love for all of these people that I’ve been in relationships with. And so nice that I got to write songs to help me get through it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Raye plans to launch an acting career.
The 25-year-old singer released her acclaimed debut album, ‘My 21st Century Blues’, earlier this year, and Raye has now revealed that she’s already eyeing up a future in the movie business.
Raye told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I feel really excited with the freedom of what I’m going to do next. I would love to do acting.
“I haven’t been trained so I would need to clear the calendar. I’d be working every day with an acting coach.”
Raye was among the nominees for the prestigious Mercury Prize.
And although she ultimately lost out to Ezra Collective, Raye considers her nomination to be a measure of the progress that she’s made.
She said: “The artist I was two years ago would never have got nominated for the Mercury Prize.
“I’ve been taken seriously as an artist for the first time.”
Raye previously admitted that her time in the music business has been a “real journey”.
The singer also insisted that she doesn’t want to be seen as a “pop star”.
Raye told GQ magazine: “I don’t want to be a pop star. I want to be a musician.
“It’s been a real journey for me, in my career, of wanting to be seen as ‘a musician.’ If I feel like I’m achieving anything, I’m beginning to achieve that.”
The award-winning star is also philosophical about her chart success.
She shared: “In this new chapter of my career, it’s imperative for me to remind myself that you can’t focus on the things you can’t control. I can’t control if my album’s gonna stream 100 million times. I can’t control if anything’s gonna go Top 10.
“It’s not positive, not helpful, not healthy: that’s probably one of the deepest things that you realise, the second you put pen to paper on a contract in this game.”

The 47-year-old singer is best known for being Yuletide crooner and has sold 15 million copies of his album ‘Christmas’ but is now said to be gearing up to star as a singing checkout worker for the supermarket chain in the run up to the festive season.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “The Christmas telly ad market has ballooned. Everyone wants to have the best in the game. John Lewis, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and all the others pull out all the stops.
But it’s hard to see anyone topping getting Buble singing in an Asda uniform. It’s a brilliant idea.”
According to the outlet, the Canadian-born superstar – who is said to have signed a “mega-money” deal to front the campaign – will star in a series of adverts for the chain, all directed by Hollywood filmmaker Taika Waititi.
The insider also went on to tease that the ‘Feeling Good’ hitmaker – who has had hits with cover versions of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ as well as more traditional festive songs such as carol ‘Silent Night’ and Judy Garland’s ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ – could enjoy further success if the soundtrack to the advert becomes a hit.
The insider added: “Michael is the King of Christmas songs anyway Every year his versions of the classics are in the charts, so don’t bet against another hit.”
In recent years, ‘Smile’ hitmaker Lily Allen reached the top of the charts with her cover of ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ for The John Lewis Christmas advert, whilst Gary Jules’ ‘Mad World’ served as the soundtrack to the luxury retailer’s festive campaign prior to that.

OHMYGOSSIP — Royal Blood “know they’re onto something” when the pizza delivery man approves of their work.
The rock duo – which consists of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – will often order takeaway from their favourite pizza shop the Brighton studio they always record in and are often caught rehearsing by the delivery man.
Singer Mike told The Daily Star’s Wired column: “The pizza guy usually comes in when we’re recording. He’ll give us the thumbs up and, if he does that, we know we must be on to something.
“When we find the right riff for a song, it doesn’t matter if we’re playing it in rehearsal or at a festival, we just know it’ll take the roof off.”
However, ‘Typhoons’ hitmaker Mike went on to add that he finds creating music to be a “very turbulent” experience that leaves him thinking he is either “invincible” or “useless” at any given time.
He added: “Making music is a very turbulent, uncomfortable experience which, for me, is rarely stable. I either think I’m useless or I’m invincible. Both emotions are wrong but there’s a real lack of control in being creative for a living.
But Mike noted that working with Ben is “perfect” because they seem to have some sort of “telepathic” relationship that has grown as a result of their time on stage together.
He added: “Working with Ben is perfect because we have something telepathic. We know what each other is going to do next and that’s something you can’t really learn. “What we have learned has come from our time on stage.
“Instead of over-analysing how we’ve come so far, or if we deserve it, I think, ‘We’re here, so let’s do it the best we can. We have to be the best band we can be.”
