OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is releasing a live version of his previously announced album ‘Autumn Variations’ recorded at fans’ houses.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker was secretly recording the project while performing for fans in their living rooms.
Announcing the project on Instagram with a clip of him surprising a fan by playing the piano, he wrote: “So I did some surprise pop up gigs in fans houses, secretly recording a live album of Autumn Variations where each song is recorded in a different fan’s living room, but all of it was a total surprise. (sic)”
Ed is set to release the live edition “soon”, but the standard is out on September 29.
He continued: “We got to @kariconaway’s house at the end of the day, and I instantly knew it was gonna be a fun one. They had cats, friendship bracelets and some fruit drinks to start, but once I’d played the Autumn song I said take me on a tour, and when I went into her room I saw a piano. She asked if I could play and I said ‘not really but I kinda play on wake me up’, so here I am playing Wake Me Up, for all the Plus fans out there.
“The fan living room live Autumn Variations album coming soon, proper album out 29th September. (sic)”
Sharing the inspiration behind the record, Ed recently explained: “Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded.
“When I went through a difficult time at the start of last year, writing songs helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was going on, and when I learned about my friend’s different situations, I wrote songs, some from their perspectives, some from mine, to capture how they and I viewed the world at that time. There were highs of falling in love and new friendships among lows of heartbreak, depression, loneliness and confusion.
“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. This is what inspired me to make this album.
“When I recorded ‘-‘ with Aaron Dessner, we clicked immediately. We wrote and recorded non-stop, and this album was born out of that partnership. I feel he has captured the feeling of autumn so wonderfully in his sonics and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”
The Grammy winner is also set to perform two special shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November.
Ed will perform ‘Autumn Variations’ in full on November 18 and 19 and be accompanied by a live band and a string section at the iconic venue.
The shows will be Ed’s last performances in the UK in 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — Oasis are set to reissue their 1998 B-sides album, ‘The Masterplan’.
On November 3, fans will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hit compilation comprising of gems from the Britpop legends’ first three albums, 1994’s ‘Definitely Maybe’, 1995’s ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ and 1997’s ‘Be Here Now’.
For the first time, the songs will be available as one collection with remastered audio.
The formats include CD, cream cassette, and limited-edition double vinyl formats in heavyweight silver, green and black, marble and black.
The B-Sides include Noel’s solo acoustic tune, ‘Talk Tonight’, plus the likes of ‘Acquiesce’, ‘Stay Young ‘, ‘Listen Up’, ‘Going Nowhere’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Rockin’ Chair’, and the titular track, the latter of which ex-guitarist and chief songwriter Noel, 56, has often admitted was far too good to be released as a B-side first.
It happens to be a song that doesn’t feature his arch-nemesis sibling and the group’s former frontman Liam, 50, nor bassist Paul ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan, 52, and Noel plays the bass himself.
In a 2020 interview with Music Week, Noel recalled: “The singles had to have three B-sides and I was always coming up two songs short. I remember writing The Masterplan at home in Camden and then going to Maison Rouge [Studios] in Fulham the next day and playing it on an acoustic guitar to silence. I’d write The Masterplan, Talk Tonight or Half The World Away and nobody would say, ‘Do you want to hold that back?’ It’s only as the years have gone along that I’ve realised that was mental. But we were all mad in the ’90s – Alan McGee was off his t**s and he was running the label.”
‘The Masterplan’ was a B-side to their timeless classic ‘Wonderwall’.
Regardless of not being released as singles, the B-sides of ‘The Masterplan’ have still been lauded as some of the group’s best songs.
Upon its release in 1998, ‘The Masterplan’ reached number two in the Official UK Album Chart, selling around 122,000 copies in its first week. It has since gone triple platinum and shifted more than three million copies worldwide.
Four songs from the album appear on the 2006 compilation album ‘Stop the Clocks’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran and J Balvin are releasing a joint album “merging two worlds”.
The ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker and the Colombian reggaeton singer have worked together in the past on tracks like ‘Sigue’ and ‘Forever My Love’, and now Balvin has given some details about their upcoming collaboration which is set to drop in 2024.
He told Nylon magazine: “It came about in an organic, natural way. We met; we had coffee, we’d run into each other at the same gym, at the hotel.
“[The record]’s going to be another album that will offer a lot to talk about because it’s like merging two worlds.”
For the two singles they dropped last year, the duo spent a day in the studio after bonding over lunch and afternoon tea
Ed tweeted in March 2022: “I met J Balvin in a gym in New York last year.
“I recognised his voice when he was on the phone so I just went up and said hi.
“We chatted so long we ended up having lunch and then afternoon tea. Then just went to being mates who chatted non-stop.”
The singer songwriter – who previously learned Italian for a version of his song ‘Perfect’ featuring Andrea Bocelli – admitted it was “a proper challenge” getting to grips with the Spanish language.
He added: “I was in New York at Christmas for shows so we decided to have one day in the studio.
“That led to so much more, which you’ll find out about soon.
“But the first two songs we wrote are Sigue and Forever My Love, they are out soon.
“He wanted to bring me into his world, and I wanted to bring him into mine. It was a proper challenge learning Spanish for this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madison Beer likes to “take people by surprise” with her music.
The 24-year-old singer has recently released her second album ‘Silence Between Songs’ and explained that she was trying to allow her fans to go on a journey that was “intricate and a little weird” as they listened to the record.
She told British Vogue: “I mean, I think that people maybe have an idea of me, or of the music that I make… I’ve spoken to people, even in the industry, who assume that I make one type of music, and then they listen to it and realise it’s different from what they thought. I do like to do things that take people by surprise. And I think I’ve always gravitated towards songs that take you on a journey, that are intricate and a little weird and change things up as they go along. And that’s what I was really trying to do with the album as a whole.”
The ‘Home to Another One’ songstress went on to add that with her sophomore album, she wanted things to have a more “retro” sound and she wanted her fans to be able to associate each track with a particular era in music history.
She said: “The [retro production] was definitely a huge factor. To me, that was super important. I mean, as you can see from what’s behind me [she gestures at wall of records], I’m a very big fan of music from every decade. And I think music that really stands the test of time is what I’ve been drawn to most, and so I wanted to capture the essence of that. I definitely did want someone to pick up the record and be like, What year is this from? That was kind of the goal.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sufjan Stevens is learning how to walk again after being diagnosed with a rare nerve disorder.
The 48-year-old folk star woke up one day last month and found himself unable to walk and he was hospitalised and told he has Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune condition which causes rapid-onset muscle weakness.
As a result, Sufjan is unable to promote his upcoming album, ‘Javelin,’ which drops on October 6.
Giving a health update on Tumblr, he wrote: “Last month I woke up one morning and couldn’t walk.
“My hands, arms and legs were numb and tingling and I had no strength, no feeling, no mobility.”
He continued: “My brother drove me to the ER and after a series of tests — MRIs, EMGs, cat scans, X-rays, spinal taps (!), echo-cardiograms, etc. — the neurologists diagnosed me with an autoimmune disorder called Guillian-Barre Syndrome.”
The Oscar and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has been treated by having immuno-hemoglobin infusions for five days.
However, they could only be administered if the disease hadn’t gone to his brain, heart and lungs.
Sufjan was fortunate that it worked.
He went on: “Very scary, but it worked.
“I spent about two weeks in Med/Surg, stuck in a bed, while my doctors did all the things to keep me alive and stabilize my condition. I owe them my life.”
Now, the ‘Mystery of Love’ singer is focused on his slow and steady physical rehabilitation and hopes to be able to walk again within a year.
Sufjan added: “It’s a slow process, but they say I will ‘recover,’ it just takes a lot of time, patience, and hard work.
“Most people who have GBS learn to walk again on their own within a year, so I am hopeful.”

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS are set to renew their contracts with BigHit Music.
All seven members of the K-Pop boy band – RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook – will “sequentially” renew their contracts to align with when their mandated military service ends.
The label will work with the group “on their future releases from 2025 onwards.”
A statement from Big Hit’s parent company HYBE obtained by Variety read: “BigHit Music will take into consideration the military service status of some of the members and plans to sign with each BTS member sequentially.
“The members who are currently serving in the military will have completed their military duty by the start of the renewed exclusive contract period in 2025.”
Suga, 30, is the latest member to enlist with his military service due to begin on September 22.
The septet announced their hiatus during their annual FESTA dinner last year, which celebrated the hugely popular band’s ninth anniversary.
As well as focusing on solo projects, all seven members of the group are to fulfil their mandatory duties to South Korea – which ask all able-bodied men to serve for 18 to 21 months before their 31st birthday – which meant that the oldest member Jin had to enlist just before his 30th birthday in December.
Considering their military service, the ‘Butter’ hitmakers are no longer able to perform until 2025.
An announcement from Big Hit Music stated: “He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government.
“Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans.
“Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.”
The announcement was made on the band’s social media pages in the wake of their free concert to support South Korea’s World Expo bid in Busan towards the end of October.
The statement read: “Since the creation of BTS over ten years ago, the band has risen to international success, broken records, and catapulted K-Pop into the global stratosphere.
“BIG HIT MUSIC has focused to the milestone moment when it would be possible to respect the needs of the country and for these healthy young men to serve with their countrymen, and that’s now.”
It had been thought the group might be exempted from military service under plans put forward by South Korea’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Hwang Hee, on the grounds they had already served their country through their huge global success, and other exceptional citizens, such as Olympians and classical musicians had been excused.
However, the plan was met with opposition from many people who had completed their service.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton’s plan to let Elvis Presley cover her song ‘I Will Always Love You’ fell apart following a row with his manager Colonel Tom Parker.
The 77-year-old country superstar has revealed she was talking to Elvis about letting him record his own version of the ballad because he loved the track and even sang it to his wife Priscilla after they got divorced, but Dolly says the deal was canned after the singer’s controversial manager tried to force her to sign over the publishing rights to him.
During an appearance on BBC Radio 2 , Dolly explained: “I wouldn’t let Colonel Tom Parker [have the rights to the song]. Elvis loved it. I talked to Priscilla not very long ago – she said: ‘Elvis sang it to me when we were on the courthouse steps after we got divorced.’
“He loved the song and wanted to do it. Had it worked up. They’d already called me to come down to the studio and to hear part of the song.”
However, a phone call from Parker changed everything. Dolly went on: “But then Colonel Tom Parker, called me the afternoon before the session and said ‘You do know we have to have at least half the publishing on any song that Elvis records?’ And I said ‘No, I did not know that’. He said ‘Well, it’s just a rule’. So I said ‘Well, it’s not my rule’… This is the most important copyright in my whole publishing company, and I can’t do that.”
The singer confessed she was “heartbroken” and burst into tears because she was so upset.
Dolly added: “I cried all night long, ’cause I was so disappointed. It wasn’t Elvis, I loved Elvis. And I’m sure he was as disappointed as I was because he had it all worked up and ready to go. I know he loved the song.”
The track has been covered by stars including Linda Ronstadt and LeAnn Rimes over the years, but it was Whitney Houston’s 1992 version that turned the track into a global sensation.

OHMYGOSSIP — U2 debuted new song ‘Atomic City’ at a surprise show in Las Vegas on Saturday night (16.09.23).
The Irish rockers are believed to have been filming a music video outside the Plaza Hotel in front of around 250 extras with reports suggesting frontman Bono was singing live but the rest of the music was recorded and the lyrics are said to be all about Sin City while the name is a reference to an old nickname for the town.
The lyrics are said to state: “I’m free, so unexpectedly/I’m free from what’s in front of me! I’ve got the key to the cages, waiting for my dice/I came here for the fight/I’m front row in Las Vegas. And there’s a big one on tonight.”
The song will reportedly be released before the band kick off their residency shows at the MSG Sphere at the Venetian on September 29. They will be performing their 1991 album ‘Achtung Baby’ during the concerts at the high-tech new venue which run until December 16.
They will have to start their ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere’ run without drummer Larry Mullen Jr as he is still recovering from surgery. Dutch musician Bram van den Berg will be filling in for him.
Bassist Adam Clayton is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column as saying: “The whole band and I’m sure the audience are going to be very sad and miss Larry. “He wants to come back, he wants to be able to have a long career and continue his drumming so he’s taking care of those injuries.”
Adam added: “He’s very much behind the idea of us going on stage with Bram. “I’m sure for Larry it’s a difficult moment to know that your band are going on stage and you’re not with them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rick Astley once “stalked” The Smiths bassist Andy Rourke around Manchester after spotting him while out shopping.
The 57-year-old pop star – who has covered The Smiths songs as part of a collaboration with Blossoms – was a huge fan of the band when he was growing up in Lancashire and he’s revealed he got a thrill when he saw Andy walking around the city while he was out buying records.
In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, Rick confessed his love of The Smiths started from a very young age and became an obsession. He explained: “My big brother Mike introduced me to them, and I went a bit nuts about them.
“The fact they were from my nearby city, where I’d go and buy records, blew my mind – a friend and I stalked Andy Rourke around town once, amazed he was real. They still sound so unique, with this very English way of singing that only a few other bands, like Pulp, do well.”
Andy died in May aged 59 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
After initially covering The Smiths tracks with Blossoms back in 2021, Astley’s collaboration drew criticism from former bandmember Johnny Marr who described it as both “funny and horrible at the same time”. Marr has since made up with Blossoms, but Astley has admitted he decided against approaching the musician at a recent gig when they were both on the line-up.
He added to the Guardian: “I wouldn’t talk to him because it’s really strange and weird. Really, nobody should cover the Smiths, but all this came from a real love of the songs.”
However, the collaboration did win the approval of The Smiths frontman Morrissey who heaped praise on them after they performed at the Glastonbury festival this summer.
In a post on his website, Morrissey wrote: “My sincere thanks to Rick and the Blossoms for their recent recentness. Anything that generates interest in that tired old Smiths warhorse is testimony to the wallop it packed. THANK YOU!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Korn will be releasing new music in 2024.
The group’s last album ‘Requiem’ dropped last year and they went straight into working on the follow-up and now guitarist Brian Welch has confirmed they are planning to release their next record – the band’s 15th album – in the coming months.
During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast ‘The Joe Kingdom Perspective’, Brian explained: “Yeah, new music coming out next year. I don’t know, we’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing.”
He hinted there may also be plans to mark the band’s 30th anniversary next year while also expressing his gratitude to have the group continue despite numerous line-up changes over the years – including an eight-year break he took himself.
Brian added: “It’s just crazy how the lord just restored everything. A couple of members are on break too, and I took … or, one’s out of the band, but one’s on break. And it’s just, it’s all good. I mean, I was gone almost a decade and I came back. I’ve been back a decade, so you just never know what’s gonna happen.”
Speaking last year frontman Jonathan Davis insisted he wasn’t worried the fans’ reaction to ‘Requiem’, telling Music Feeds: “I sit there and I read some of the comments, but I think at this point in my career I’m really just happy putting out what we’re all, as a band, collectively happy about. If the fans like it, great. If they don’t, it’s the 14th f****** record – you’ve got a lot more records to listen to. It doesn’t freak me out like it did back in the early days.”
He added: “If we made records trying to make everyone happy they would suck. You’d just go into a f****** spiral and overthink everything and it wouldn’t be art and in that moment. The five guys sitting in a room, that’s what counts. You get a producer, you hope that people like it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Pretenders will play two intimate UK club gigs next month.
The band will take to the stage at London’s 1,500-capacity Electric Ballroom venue on October 19 and they will follow it up with a show at Barrowlands in Glasgow, Scotland – which holds 1,900 – on October 25 with frontwoman Chrissie Hynde insisting it’s just “more fun” to play smaller shows.
She said in a statement: “Well, everyone prefers being in them [smaller venues]. I certainly would rather go to see a band in the club. So there’s that, because I’m still an audience member.
“And also it’s just more fun. It’s a small stage. And you can see everyone and they’re right in your face and it’s a laugh, that’s why you’re there. If I see some crazy in the audience, I can really feed off of that. You can’t see it when you’re too far away.”
The shows come just months after the band’s huge gig which include a set at Glastonbury Festival in June, a massive gig with Guns N’ Roses at London’s Hyde Park and BBC Radio 2 In The Park in Leicester last weekend.
The gigs also mark the release of new album ‘Relentless’ which includes new single ‘Losing My Sense Of Taste’ which Chrissie wrote about the COVID-19 lockdowns.
She said: “That song was more a take on the whole lockdown experience. It is called ‘Losing My Sense Of Taste’ – which, as a matter of fact, I never lost during the COVID period. But it did kick off the idea for the song … losing my sense of taste, my sense of smell, and sometimes the whole culture just seems tired. Not now of course because there’s a new Pretenders album out.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo says “teenage girl music” is being taken “more seriously” these days.
The 20-year-old former Disney kid – who shot to fame in kids show ‘Bizaardvark’ and ‘ High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ – released her second album ‘Guts’ this month and she is pleased to discover there are more older listeners enjoying her songs about childhood heartbreak.
She told PEOPLE: “I’m really excited by the way that people are getting behind artists that normally would be deemed for young people. I love interacting with fans who are my age and people who are going through the struggles that I’m going through in real time, but it’s been really fun also to experience those girls’ dads be like: ‘Wow, I remember when I was going through that heartbreak.’
“It’s super cool. Especially with [2021 single] ‘Drivers License’, I remember when that came out, people of all walks of life would just come up to me and be like, ‘I remember exactly where I was when I was experiencing that heartbreak for the first time.’ It’s just such a cool thing to see that we’re all so much more alike than we are different. It just makes me feel less alone. I’m just like, ‘Wow, my experiences aren’t really that unique. Everyone has experienced some sort of pain or loss and insecurity’.
She added: “I think people are starting to take teenage girl music a little more seriously, which I’m really happy about.”
Olivia recently opened up about her second album’s name – revealing she came up with ‘Guts’ before she had even released her first album ‘Sour’,
She told Hits Radio: “I came up with the name a few years ago, in fact before ‘Sour’ even came out, I just really liked the word, the way it looks written down. I like the way it sounds, I like how it has so many meanings. “I hope people scream it and dance to it and I hope it helps them understand and process their feelings in some way, that’s certainly what it was for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang Van Halen refuses to cover his dad’s songs because it’s important to be his “own musician”.
Wolfgang played bass in his father’s band Van Halen for four years, but he’s been focusing on his solo project Mammoth WVH since Eddie’s death in 2020 and the 32-year-old musician has now revealed why he doesn’t play any of the band’s hits at his shows.
Speaking on the ‘Talk Is Jericho’ podcast, Wolfgang explained: “I’m happy to be able to prove myself. The important key distinction is that I’m not doing what my dad did, I’m my own person, I’m my own musician … it’s why I don’t play any Van Halen music or have a plan to play Van Halen music during my sets.
“Even my dad hated doing covers back in the day, his quote resonates with me all the time where he says: ‘I’d rather bomb with my own music than succeed with somebody else’s’, and that’s exactly how I feel about playing Van Halen music. I’d much rather fail on my own than succeed heartlessly by playing ‘Panama’.”
However, Wolfgang made an exception last year when he took to the stage at the Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts in London and Los Angeles to perform ‘On Fire’, ‘Hot For Teacher’ and ‘Panama’ in honour of the later drummer, who was a huge fan of Van Halen.
Wolfgang said of the decision: “It was wonderful. It was the exception where it was like, this would be the time to do it. Taylor was such a huge fan and to get my own satisfaction of doing a direct Van Halen tribute for dad, it felt like the right thing to do in that moment. I’m really proud of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has recorded a secret dance track “sitting there” waiting to be finished.
The former Oasis rocker teamed up with dance duo CamelPhat on 2020 hit ‘Not Over Yet’ from their debut album ‘Dark Matter’, and it turns out they collaborated on another song together.
Dave Whelan told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “We also did a great track with Noel that sounds like when The Beatles went to India.
“It features a sitar we recorded with a very talented Israeli musician.”
Unfortunately, the ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ hitmaker was busy working on his latest album ‘Council Skies’, which meant the track wasn’t finished in team for CamelPhat’s second LP ‘Spiritual Milk’.
Dave added: “Noel’s vocal isn’t complete. He was happy if we got another vocalist in to finish the track, and we tried.
“We used five different vocalists, but it’s only Noel’s voice that sounds right. For now, the track is sitting there.
“We’re happy if Noel wants to finish it for his own music or if he finishes it for us – we’ll respect Noel’s decision whatever.”
During lockdown Noel, 56, agreed to work with several other artists on new music, which included a collaboration with British rapper Dizzee Rascal, something he is usually reluctant to do.
The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker previously admitted he was disappointed that not all of the songs he co-wrote have been released yet.
Back in May 2021, he told BBC Radio 6 Music: “I’ve co-written a lot of songs, ironically, none of which seem to have seen the light of day.
“I did that thing with CamelPhat, which did come out, I did a thing with Dizzee, which never came up. I did a thing with [Paul] Weller which never got finished. I did do something with Imelda May that did come out, actually.
“Lots of people were doing it, I got so many emails saying, ‘Hey, I’ve got nothing to do, if you’ve got nothing to do we should write something.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blink-182 are to release a new album in October – the first LP with their classic line-up for 12 years.
The ‘What’s My Age Again?’ hitmakers, who are made up of vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus, guitarist Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker, will drop new record ‘One More Time…’ on October 20th.
The trio’s last LP together was 2011’s ‘Neighborhoods’.
Blink-182 confirmed the news in a trailer for an upcoming interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, in which they teased three new songs, ‘Anthem Part 3’, ‘You Don’t Know What You’ve Got’ and the titular track ‘One More Time’, which will be released as a single on September 21.
Tom has told how Mark telling him he had been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer inspired him to re-join Blink in 2022, after the star departed the group in 2015 and he was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba.
Speaking in the trailer, he said: “I remember telling my wife, ‘I don’t think I’m ever going to play music again, I don’t think I’m ever gonna tour again.’
“Until Mark told me he was sick, and then I was like, that’s the only thing I wanted to do.”
News of Blink’s upcoming album release comes after the trio – who dropped single ‘Edging’ last year – teased new music with a series of posters and a mystery website earlier this month.
Promotional posters popped up in numerous locations, featuring the Blink-182 logo and the phrase “One more time…”
According to the Blink-182 Italia fan account on X (formerly Twitter), the background of the posters also included what seemed to be song lyrics.
They read: “Do I have to die to hear you miss me? Do I have to die to hear you say goodbye?
“I don’t want to act like there’s tomorrow, I don’t want to wait to do this one more time.”
A QR code included on the poster takes the fans to a ‘stall’ page on the official Blink-182 website.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hozier is always blown away by how “f****** talented” Ariana Grande is.
The ‘Take Me To Church’ hitmaker, 33, has revealed he is a massive stan of the 30-year-old pop superstar.
In a video for ELLE, Hozier gushed: “I love her music. I think she’s an excellent pop artist, I really do. I think she’s incredibly talented. I think every time I hear her sing I’m reminded of just how f****** talented Ariana Grande is.”
The Irish musician previously performed a cover of Ariana’s hit ‘Problem’ – which also features Iggy Azalea – on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
Hozier released his latest album, ‘Unreal Unearth’, in August.
And he recently teased he is in talks with Ethel Cain about a potential future collaboration.
He told Attitude magazine: “An artist I was in touch with recently and would love to work with is Ethel Cain. I’m very, very excited about her work.
“We touched base recently, we just picked up contact. I’d love to do some shows with Ethel … maybe write a song.”
Meanwhile, Hozier recently insisted he would “absolutely” strike if action was taken over the use of AI in music.
In the film industry, writers and actors have been marching on the picket lines over concerns about the rise in AI, as well as working conditions, and streaming services.
And whilst many artists have been vocal about their fears for the music industry, with it now possible to replicate anyone’s vocals using AI software, there is yet to be an official walkout by musicians and songwriters.
Speaking on ‘BBC Newsnight’, Hozier said when asked if he would strike over AI: “Joining in solidarity if there was… action on that? Absolutely.”
The ‘Someone New’ singer doesn’t feel AI music can be labelled art.
He went on: “Whether (AI is) art or not, I think, is nearly a philosophical debate.
“It can’t create something based on a human experience. So I don’t know if it meets the definition of art.”
