OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has become the first British artist to receive a special-edition Gold BRIT Billion Award by BPI for exceeding 10 billion streams in the UK.
The 32-year-old pop megastar earned more than one billion streams within the last 12 months, as recorded by the Official Charts Company.
Ed said: “It’s wonderful to receive the first-ever BRIT Billion Award in the UK for 10 billion streams. I want to say a big thank you to my fans. None of this is possible without you guys x.”
Dr. Jo Twist OBE, BPI Chief Executive, commented: “We congratulate Ed Sheeran and his team on this landmark achievement. Ed may represent the pinnacle of streaming success, but he is also among the thousands of artists who are being streamed in the tens and hundreds of millions in the UK each year and who are thriving thanks to streaming and label support. The record-breaking artist’s UK chart records include becoming the first artist to have four albums in the Official Albums Chart Top 10 for a year, and the first British solo artist to claim a full year at No.1 across his catalogue on the UK singles chart.
He also holds the record for the 10 most-streamed songs of all time with ‘Shape of You’, ‘Perfect’, and ‘Bad Habits’.
Just recently, the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker smashed the record for the most tickets sold at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for his ‘Mathematics’ tour, which saw 81,000 gig-goers in attendance.
Ed’s achievement comes after Billie Eilish recently received a BRIT Billion Award for reaching one billion UK streams.
In August, the 21-year-old US star’s hit single ‘Bad Guy’ crossed more than 300 million streams, while she had six other songs exceed the 100 million mark.

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA has dubbed the Grammys a “thirsty, dark space”.
The ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker is not a fan of the atmosphere created by artists seeking “validation” from awards, describing being amongst acknowledgment-seeking stars as “the weirdest”, “not normal” experience.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said: “It’s not normal.
“I hate that [other artists] be acting like this s*** is normal and nobody talks about it at all.”
She continued: “There is so much wanting in there.
“Wanting to be noticed, wanting to be, like, acknowledged, to win, wanting to just be amongst [other artists] in the room, wanting to feel valuable or validated. All of us are in there striving for something.
“It’s like a thirsty, dark space.”
SZA herself has won one Grammy from 14 nominations to date, in 2022, for ‘Kiss Me More’ with Doja Cat.
She said: “It means something, even though, like, this isn’t everything.
“But it’s kind of important that I’m here. It kind of matters.”
The chart-topping star previously insisted she’s not motivated by accolades.
The ‘Good Days’ singer – whose real name is Solana Rowe – said: “I try not to care too much because I really had some deep disappointments when I would just be so invested. But I can’t invest because none of it is real.
“Even if I win a bunch of Grammys, that s*** doesn’t matter. It would be so cool. But also I would not be surprised at all if I didn’t win any [more]. Because that’s just how s*** goes.”
Meanwhile, SZA’s longtime manager recently suggested that she didn’t perform at the MTV Video Music Awards due to not being nominated for Artist of The Year.
Top Dawg Entertainment co-president Terrence ‘Punch’ Henderson told The Hollywood Reporter: “Obviously, she had one of the best years, if not the best year, of any artist at this point. I don’t see why she wouldn’t be nominated for artist of the year. It just really didn’t make any sense to me. It’s disrespectful.”
He went on: “And they ended up saying, ‘OK, well we could do another call’ because there were people on [the call] about logistics for the show who didn’t have anything to do with [the nominations]. When we tried to set up the second call, they didn’t want to discuss Artist of the Year, which to me was really a slap in the face.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert film will be released globally next month.
‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ will play in over 100 countries from 13 October – the same day as the previously announced US, Canada and Mexico release.
The film was recorded over the first three nights that Taylor played at California’s SoFi stadium last month and is directed by Sam Wrench – who has previously made concert films for Billie Eilish and Lizzo. It will be screened at every ODEON Cinemas location throughout the UK and Europe.
The film is being produced independently by Taylor Swift Productions and has a run time of 165 minutes – although it is unlikely to feature the entirety of the Eras tour setlist, which runs to 44 songs and lasts over three hours.
Tickets will go on sale at most participating international locations outside North America from Tuesday (26.09.23).
It will be Taylor’s fourth concert film following the documentations of her albums ‘Fearless’, ‘1989’ and ‘Reputation’ and a film of the only concert to promote the 2019 album ‘Lover’ – after the planned tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker also released the behind-the-scenes documentary ‘Miss Americana’ in 2020. It spanned 2018 and 2019 and featured Swift discovering her political voice, addressing her experience with body dysmorphia and her mother’s cancer diagnosis.
The Eras Tour began in March and is expected to earn a record-setting $1 billion in sales – eclipsing Sir Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concerts as the highest-grossing tour of all time.
Taylor’s tour will resume in South America in November before heading to the UK in the summer of 2024.

OHMYGOSSIP — Black Grape have announced a brand new album and UK tour.
The group – which features Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder and the rapper Kermit – are to release their long-awaited fourth album ‘Orange Head’ on November 3.
The new record will be accompanied by a return to the stage for the duo at venues across the UK in November and December where audiences can expect a mixture of new tracks and timeless classics.
Acclaimed as ‘the great lost band of the 90s’, Black Grape’s career has spanned over two decades with their debut album ‘It’s Great When You’re Straight… Yeah’ topping the UK charts in 1995.
The 1997 follow-up ‘Stupid Stupid Stupid’ was also successful and achieved Gold status.
Black Grape reunited in 2016 for the football anthem ‘England Till I Die’ ahead of the European Championships. It sparked a new era for the band that led to the release of the album ‘Pop Voodoo’ in 2017.
‘Orange Head’ will continue the Black Grape tradition of genre-blending rock, hip-hop, acid house, psychedelic pop and reggae with Ryder’s distinctive vocals.
Shaun, 61, said: “Black Grape has always been about pushing boundaries and defying expectations. ‘Orange Head’ is the next chapter in our musical journey, and it’s packed with the energy and innovation that our fans have come to expect.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne is planning to record “one more album” before going back on tour in 2024.
The 74-year-old Black Sabbath legend – who has undergone a series of spinal operations after suffering a fall in 2019 – has undergone his “final surgery” and has some big plans for the coming year.
He told Metal Hammer magazine: “I’m getting myself fit. I’ve done two albums fairly recently, but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road.”
Ozzy – who worked with Andrew Watt on both 2020’s ‘Ordinary Man’ and last year’s ‘Patient Number 9’ – has a studio at his home in the UK, and he is looking to get Watt back in there to work on some new material.
He added: “I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year. I want to take my time with this one!”
When it comes to his recovery from surgery and his fall, the ‘Crazy Train’ hitmaker admitted he is struggling to “get used to this mode of living”.
He explained: “I’ve had all the surgery now, thank God. I’m feeling OK — it was just dragging on.
“I thought I’d be back on my feet months ago, I just couldn’t get used to this mode of living, constantly having something wrong.
“I can’t walk properly yet, but I’m not in any pain any more and the surgery on my spine went great.”
Back in July, Ozzy was forced to announced the “painful” decision to pull out of three day heavy metal festival Power Trip in California – where he was set to perform next month – due to health reasons, and he has been replaced by his friends in Judas Priest.
Ozzy – who has Parkinson’s disease – previously admitted he didn’t want to put on a “half-a****” performance for fans.
Announcing his decision to bow out of the festival, he wrote: “As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.
“My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.
“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a****.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard is returning on Saturday, March 2, after the success of last year’s bash.
The star-studded music ceremony will officially return to The O2 arena in London, with a primetime weekend slot on ITV1 and ITVX, after reaching just shy of four million viewers in 2023.
Damian Christian, who is back as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2024, commented: “The move to a Saturday night for the first time proved to be a huge success, so I’m delighted we’ll be back in a primetime slot again in March. A Saturday night show helped us lock in our most engaged audience ever, and we’ll be looking to build on that base as we connect with even more fans in 2024. Next year’s BRITs will be our most ambitious show yet, with a host of exciting performances from incredible artists, as we look to celebrate the music that soundtracked our 2023.”
The ceremony used to take place on a weekday.
This year’s show was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan.
Harry Styles swept the board at The BRIT Awards 2023 with a haul of all four gongs he was up for including the coveted Artist of the Year prize for ‘Harry’s House’.
Beyoncé and Wet Leg were the next biggest winners, picking up two gongs apiece.
Harry’s haul came after he opened proceedings with a rendition of ‘As It Was’ while wearing a sparkly red matador-style jacket.
The Best Male and Best Female awards were scrapped in 2021 in a bid to include non-binary artists, but it led to a male-dominated winners list this year, with only six of the 15 awards collected by female artists.
The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard will be broadcast exclusively on ITV and ITVX.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West and Dr. Dre’s star-studded record ‘Jesus Is King 2’ has fallen victim to a leak.
The jam-packed follow-up to Kanye’s 2019 gospel LP has features from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott and Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Ferg and Marsha Ambrosius.
However, it’s largely made up of reworkings and remixes of the original songs, with Kanye – who legally changed his name to Ye – adding a few verses.
Announcing the project on Twitter – before it became X – the ‘Jesus Walks’ rapper wrote: “Jesus Is King is my first clean album.
“I used to spend all my time trying to make my beats be mixed as good as Dr. Dre. Who knew all I had to do was do an album for God and then Dr. Dre would start mixing my beats? Spend your time on God, and he’ll handle the rest.”
In October, it was reported that Def Jam had parted ways with the rapper and that his imprint G.O.O.D. Music was no longer associated with the label.
The ‘Good Morning’ rapper lost his deal with Adidas, was dropped by agents CAA, and had the likes of Balenciaga and Vogue magazine distance themselves from him due to a string of anti-Semitic comments he made last year, including praising the “good things” about Adolf Hitler and declaring he wanted to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Mick Jagger has spoken about the possibility of The Rolling Stones living on with a “posthumous tour” with the band recreated on stage.
The Rolling Stones frontman didn’t state whether his band would have a hologram show like ABBA Voyage once they’ve departed the world, but it’s not the first time he’s mentioned it.
He told The Wall Street Journal: “You can have a posthumous business now, can’t you? You can have a posthumous tour. The technology has really moved on since the ABBA thing, which I was supposed to go to, but I missed it.”
The ‘Angry’ singer previously discussed how avatar shows offer endless opportunities for veteran acts.
Although he hasn’t considered whether the ‘Start Me Up’ rockers – who have been touring for more than 60 years – could have their own digital hologram concert in the future, he is intrigued by the “technology breakthrough”.
Speaking to Matt Wilkinson on Apple Music Hits, the 80-year-old music legend said: “That would be stupid to me to give you a one-line answer, because I haven’t really honestly thought about it.
“The ABBA thing gives you this kind of technology breakthrough, which, I haven’t actually seen it yet.
“I was supposed to go and see it, but there was a train strike. So I didn’t get to go. I wasn’t going on the train, but … the traffic was horrible, so I can’t really answer that.
“Obviously technology is going to give you some of the answers to this, and who knows what technology lies in store down the road?
“We’re already in an AI world of doing this stuff, and you can do a lot of musical stuff with not very complicated computerisation, as well.”
In May last year, the Swedish icons launched their spectacular ‘ABBA Voyage’ concert featuring their ‘Abba-tars’ (holograms) at a purpose-built arena in Stratford, east London.
The 90-minute show features pre-recorded classics mixed with the band’s new numbers such as ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’.
ABBA played their last concert just more than four decades ago.
The avatar shows could go on even after the group – comprising Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – have left this world.

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975 are set to embark on an “indefinite hiatus” from live shows after completing their current jaunt.
Frontman Matty Healy, 34, made the announcement while playing the Golden 1 Center, in Sacramento, California, on Tuesday night (26.09.23) as part of their mammoth ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ tour.
He told the crowd before performing ‘Sex’: “It’s wonderful you’re all here.
“After this tour, we will be going on an indefinite hiatus with shows, so it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight. Thank you so much.”
The tour is set to continue into next year with the UK and European leg, which kicks off at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on February 9, and wraps at Cologne’s Palladium on March 22.
Matty’s mum Denise Welch recently admitted her son is “absolutely exhausted” and “ready for a break”.
The ‘Loose Women’ star told Britain’s OK! magazine: “Matty is absolutely shattered. He’s on a world tour and as much as it’s hard to go, ‘Oh please feel sorry for my boy’, people don’t realise that it’s gruelling to be the lead singer, the creator, the writer, the producer of a massive show on the scale that Matthew does.
“Then he gets on stage and gets in a plane and flies seven hours then flies 24 hours.
“It’s a wonderful life, but he’s absolutely exhausted and ready for a break.”
The former ‘Waterloo Road’ actress – who also has actor son Louis with ex-husband Tim Healy – is proud of how Matty has overcome his addictions, having spent time in rehab in 2017.
She said: “Matty has had his demons and we’ve navigated them as a family and he’s come out the other side.
“We all support each other and I couldn’t be prouder of how he’s come through, with the help of his family and friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The late Bernie Marsden’s final album ‘Working Man’ will be posthumously released later this year.
The former Whitesnake guitarist passed away peacefully, aged 72 on August 23, and had been hard at work finishing the record in the weeks before his death.
Bernie oversaw the artwork, sequencing and mastering of the LP, which was finished in June.
The tracks are all original songs and come after Bernie’s trio of covers albums, ‘Kings’, ‘Chess’ and ‘Trios’.
The first track ‘Being Famous’ is out now.
His widow Fran Marsden said: “Bernie was really excited about his new album, Working Man, and proud of the tracks featured on it.
“After the last three albums of covers he was keen for his fans to hear some new, original songs. He loved working on them in the studio during lockdown and he couldn’t wait to get the album out into the world.
“Conquest Music were considering delaying the release until 2024 out of respect but knowing Bernie’s eagerness to get the album out there, we want to follow his wishes and release it as planned.”
Conquest’s Alan Bambrough added: “Bernie Marsden was far more than an artist to Conquest Music.
“He has been a great friend and mentor for many years and was a huge part of our decision to form the label.
“His Kings album was our first release, and we are proud to work with his company, Little House Music in releasing some of his finest ever work. We are heartbroken at Bernie’s passing and thought the right and respectful thing to do would be to postpone the release until next year. Fran Marsden convinced us that Bernie would want the Working Man album to come out as planned.”
The collection is available as a limited edition 2CD or vinyl and there is the bonus disco with an additional 10 new songs from Bernie plus reworkings of Whitesnake classics.
‘Working Man’ is the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Tales Of Tone And Volume’ and will be released on November 24.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sum 41 have released the new song ‘Landmines’, just days after frontman Deryck Whibley’s health scare.
The 43-year-old rocker was rushed to the emergency room on September 15 after his health took a turn for the worse – nine years after he nearly died when he was hospitalised after his drinking spiralled out of control.
He is back home now after being treated for pneumonia and is hoping to recover in time for the ‘In Too Deep’ hitmakers’ pair of shows at When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas on October 21 and 22.
The group are also due to play a gig on October 20 at Brooklyn Bowl ahead of the Sin City festival shows.
And they have a new song for fans ahead of the shows.
Deryck said of the old-school track: “When I wrote ‘Landmines’, I had no intention of writing an old-school ‘pop punk’ song. It just came out really quickly and I knew right away that this song felt special to me.”
The musician’s wife Ariana took to Instagram a day after he was admitted to the hospital to deliver the update that he had been discharged.
Reassuring fans, she wrote: “I’m very happy to be giving this update. Deryck was discharged after responding so well to his treatments.
“He is now under the care of his mother who is a registered nurse and myself. The pressure and strain on his heart and lungs has improved and he is able to breath without as much pain.
“I can’t tell you how truly grateful we are for the community around us. We knew we had support but the outpouring of love for our family has been absolutely overwhelming and we can’t begin to say how much it has meant to us and helped us stay positive through this.”
There had been fears he could suffer heart failure.
Sum 41 announced in May that they were breaking up after 27 years together and finished their ‘Let the Bad Times Roll’ tour in North America earlier this month.
The group said in an Instagram statement about their decision to split: “Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments in our lives.
“We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in any way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is set to release an album for each of the seasons as he did for his mathematical series – but has a big “pop album” on the way before he follows up ‘Autumn Variations’.
The Grammy winner has revealed to fans what his plans are after he releases the first of his seasonal album collection on Friday (29.09.23).
He told fans at a pop-up for ‘Autumn Variations’: “I am planning on doing a ‘Summer Variations’, and ‘Spring Variations’, and there will be [a ‘Winter Variations’ album].
“But that isn’t what’s coming after this [Autumn Variations].”
The ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker then teased: “We’ve got a big pop record.”
The prolific star recently revealed he has a live version of ‘Autumn Variations’ recorded at fans’ houses on the way.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker was secretly recording the project while performing for fans in their living rooms.
Alongside a clip of him surprising a fan by playing the piano, he wrote on Instagram: “So I did some surprise pop up gigs in fans houses, secretly recording a live album of Autumn Variations where each song is recorded in a different fan’s living room, but all of it was a total surprise. (sic)”
Ed is set to release the live edition “soon”.
He continued: “We got to @kariconaway’s house at the end of the day, and I instantly knew it was gonna be a fun one. They had cats, friendship bracelets and some fruit drinks to start, but once I’d played the Autumn song I said take me on a tour, and when I went into her room I saw a piano. She asked if I could play and I said ‘not really but I kinda play on wake me up’, so here I am playing Wake Me Up, for all the Plus fans out there.
“The fan living room live Autumn Variations album coming soon, proper album out 29th September. (sic)”
Sharing the inspiration behind the record, Ed recently explained: “Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded.
“When I went through a difficult time at the start of last year, writing songs helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was going on, and when I learned about my friend’s different situations, I wrote songs, some from their perspectives, some from mine, to capture how they and I viewed the world at that time. There were highs of falling in love and new friendships among lows of heartbreak, depression, loneliness and confusion.
“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. This is what inspired me to make this album.
“When I recorded ‘-‘ with Aaron Dessner, we clicked immediately. We wrote and recorded non-stop, and this album was born out of that partnership. I feel he has captured the feeling of autumn so wonderfully in his sonics and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish is “in the final stages of making” her new album.
The ‘What Was I Made For?’ hitmaker has promised fans lots of new music is on the way, but she’s yet to settle on a release date for her follow-up to 2021’s ‘Happier Than Ever’.
Appearing on Westwood One’s ‘The Cookout’, Billie teased: “It is getting there and it’s very exciting.”
Billie is once again working with her brother and collaborator Finneas on her third studio effort, and recently explained how she has experienced a “big jump” between the ages of 18 and 21 since the release of her record-breaking debut album, ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’.
Speaking on Dua Lipa’s ‘At Your Service’ podcast, Billie said of the music-making process: “Everything is different about it. I’ve been trying to compare recently, just because I’m getting used to doing it in a different way. And trying to be like, ‘It’s OK to do that. I’m OK. I’m still able to do that; I’m capable still.'”
The Grammy-winning star discussed the transition from making music in her childhood home to working in Finneas’ basement studio for her last album ‘Happier Than Ever’ and felt as if the pair had “figured out” the process.
Billie explained: “We were like, ‘We’ve got it all figured out, this is how we’re going to do it from now on, and it works really well.’
“And, you know, touring for a year-and-a-half, then coming back to it, and being way older – and not even much older, but again, the jump between 18 and 21 is a big jump.”
The ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer also admitted she feared she’d “lost it” as her vocals have changed.
She said: “The way that I exist in the room is different, my voice has completely changed since then… The voice-changing thing is a trip! It’s all kind of shocking.
“I’ve gotten a little bit more like, ‘OK, it’s just change and I’m figuring that out.’ It’s hard to accept change, it’s hard to get over, ‘But I did this way for so long, and it worked so well!’ Well, you can’t anymore.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Busted have promised fans the “best f****** album” they’ve ever heard when they head back into the studio.
The ‘Year 3000’ pop rockers – made up of Matt Willis, James Bourne and Charlie Simpson – are currently celebrating 20 years since they burst onto the scene with ‘What I Go To School For’, but they still feel “fresh” and inspired.
Speaking to the crowd at Manchester’s AO Arena on Sunday (24.09.23), James said: “Even though we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, we were in a freezer for, like, 14 years.
“So, we’re still fresh and we are gonna make the best f****** album you’ve ever f****** heard. It’s gonna be our second number one album!”
Last week, the trio topped the charts for the first time with their ‘Busted 2.0’ greatest hits release, which featured re-recordings of their classic tracks both as a trio, and with special guests ranging from Hanson and You Me At Six to Wheatus and Neck Deep.
Matt added to the audience: “We decided, we’re gonna go away and make the greatest hits, we’re gonna re-record them because the idea of just re-releasing s*** you’ve already bought? F*** that!”
The band aren’t going anywhere, and once their tour is complete, they’ll be heading straight into the studio to work on their next collection of new songs.
Matt said: “That’s what we’re doing straight after this f****** tour, we’re going back in the studio. You wanna hear a new record? Us too!”
The trio delighted fans in Manchester, coming to the stage after being introduced by Christopher Lloyd, who reprised his role as Doc Brown from ‘Back To The Future’.
The career-spanning set kicked off with ‘Air Hostess’ and saw the band play fan favourites like ‘What I Go To School For’, ‘Who’s David?’ and ‘You Said No’ alongside the likes of ‘Meet You There’.
They were also joined by Hanson to perform ‘MMMBop’ and ‘Sleeping With The Light On’, while Doc Brown returned on screen at the end of the night to bring everyone into the ‘Year 3000’ for a triumphant end to a night as much about looking to the future as it was celebrating the past.

The pop group are back with their first song in 20 years, ‘Better Place’ – which appeared in a trailer for forthcoming DreamWorks Animation film ‘Trolls Band Together’ – and they reunited on stage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, earlier this month.
Lance has insisted he had “no idea” the band’s fans would “go this nuts” for their comeback.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It is beautiful, you know?
“To be this age and the fans are still this excited, it is a dream come true.
“I had no idea the fandom would go this nuts.
“It was pretty emotional, the first time we all got in the studio together.
“Back in March, we decided to, you know, get back together and have some fun and it was like no [time] had passed.
“But there was there was a lot of tears. It was just tears of joy. And it was just a beautiful moment.
“Like, time does so much and for us to finally be together, it just feels right.”
NSYNC – also made up of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone – appeared together at the VMAs on September 12th, 10 years after their final public performance at the awards show, when they took to the stage to present the Best Pop award to Taylor Swift.
Speaking about the reaction to NSYNC’s reunion that night, Lance joked: “I blame Taylor Swift. I think she sicced the Swifties on us and I think the Swifties and the NSYNCers just kind of created this tsunami.
“And I think it’s been so fun!”
Fans have been calling for NSYNC to go on tour following their reunion, but Lance insisted the group “don’t have solid plans” just yet.
He added: “I’ve been telling the fans, like, we don’t have solid plans right now. Because, you know, we’re waiting for the strike to end we’ve got things to do,” Bass said. “But [the fans are] definitely shaping our future.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy is set to perform at the 2024 Formula One British Grand Prix.
The Grime superstar will play the world-famous Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Pete Tong will get the party started with his Ibiza Classics set alongside Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra on Saturday and Rudimental will close out the live music on Sunday.
The line-up for Thursday’s Opening Concert is still to be revealed.
Nick Read, Silverstone’s Commercial Director, said: “Our long-term ambition has always been to establish Silverstone as a venue that attracts the biggest and best artists in the world to put on a spectacular show for the British fans.
“It’s an honour to announce Stormzy, Pete Tong and Rudimental as the first names on our line-up for the 2024 British Grand Prix.
“We knew we had a massive job on our hands following the great success of this year’s music offering, so we are thrilled to be able to take things up another notch – with more huge global acts still to be announced!”
This summer’s event saw performances from the likes of Calvin Harris, Tom Grennan, Cat Burns, and Black Eyed Peas.
Meanwhile, it looks like Calvin and Stormzy could have another thing in common as well as performing at the racetrack as the pair are reportedly planning to collaborate.
The ‘Vossi Bop’ hitmaker hit it off with the DJ when he saw him behind the decks at Ibiza’s Ushuaia when he jetted to the party island with friends in July as part of his 30th birthday celebrations, and now they’re wanting to get into the recording studio together.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Stormzy’s admired Calvin for a long time. Both are huge fans of the dance capital, with Stormzy previously holding his #MerkyFestival at Ibiza Rocks. Stormzy’s been surprising everyone by dropping songs on almost a weekly basis.
“But so far, he hasn’t made it to the top spot with his collaborators. Ibiza is the perfect setting to let their creative juices come together. They’ll work on a project next time he’s there.”
The news comes a few weeks after Stormzy’s producer, PRGRSHN, recently teased the follow-up to his November album ‘This Is What I Mean’, will be released “sooner rather than later.
He was quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column as saying: “We’re always trying to stay creative and make new music.
“You might see him sooner rather than later, I’m not sure.”
