OHMYGOSSIP — Lourdes Leon is “a lip gloss and lip liner girl”.
The Savage X Fenty catwalk queen – and oldest daughter of Madonna, 64, – always keeps the lippy duo in her Fendi Baguette at all times to “touch it up”.

She said: “For some reason, I always lose my wallets, but I never lose the contents of my wallet. I just lose the wallet itself. So these trusty and reliable headphones are what’s keeping these things together.”

Victoria’s Secret bans cashmere

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria’s Secret has banned cashmere.
The international lingerie brand will no longer sell items using the wool – which comes from shearing from special goats in Mongolia and China – following on the trend of Columbia Sportswear and others who made similar decisions, a move welcomed by animal rights charity PETA.
Tracy Reiman, the executive vice president said: “Victoria’s Secret’s decision is a win for the countless gentle goats who will be spared the agonising ordeal of someone ripping their hair out.
“PETA asks everyone to help goats keep their hair by choosing vegan fabrics, which aren’t produced by condemning animals to a lifetime of suffering.”
Victoria’s Secret – who have spent millions overhauling their image following a number of scandals – mirrors other fashion industry big hitters like ASOS, who pledged to remove mohair, cashmere and silk from their product lines in 2018 within a year.
The online retailer said in a statement: “Asos firmly believes it is not acceptable for animals to suffer in the name of fashion or cosmetics. Asos is committed to working with industry expert groups to support the ongoing research, development and implementation of animal welfare standards and transparency in the leather supply chain.”
At the time, PETA UK’s director Elisa Allen celebrated the decision, saying: “The global online retail platform is reflecting a profound shift in public attitudes towards the rearing and killing of animals for fashion. Consumers are changing the face of the industry by demanding that designers and retailers offer clothing and accessories that look beautiful without harming animals.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shanina Shaik says motherhood has made rethink modelling.

The Harper’s Bazaar Arabia cover star spilled the most surprising thing about motherhood is how “easy” Zai has been compared to the “horror stories” she had heard.

Emma Bunton launched a skincare line because of children’s allergies

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton was inspired to launch a skincare line because of her children’s allergies.
The Spice Girls singer, 46, has Beau, 15, and 11-year-old Tate with husband Jade Jones but could never find a product she “trusted” to combat her children’s eczema so launched Kit and Kin – which features an array of creams and shampoos designed for babies – with Christopher Money in her native Britain in 2017 but has finally decided to take the brand stateside and wants to help other mothers.
She said: “I got into this field because of my children, they had allergies and eczema and I couldn’t find a product that I trusted, that I could look on the back and understand all the ingredients. I didn’t understand any of it and I didn’t want to use anything on them and that was really hard at the time, I was frustrated. Then, I met Christopher Money who is my business partner and we had quite a lot in common. I thought we have to do this, we have to help other mums.
“It’s so hard because there is so much to think about when you’re a mother, you worry about everything. I hoped at the time that bringing something like this would take that pressure off and you know that is natural and you know that it’s doing good. So, we always say better for baby, better for our world, and giving back.”
The ‘Say You’ll Be There’ hitmaker – who shot to fame as Baby Spice alongside Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, Mel B, and Victoria Beckham in the ground-breaking 1990s girl group – went on to add that she had not really thought about owning a business during her manic heyday with the Spice Girls but admitted that launching the brand was a “natural progression” when she later had children with allergies.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I’m not sure about back in the day but having my own business has always been a dream. I love that it’s a journey, life’s a journey and you try different things. As soon as I had children they both had skin problems and just talking about it, it just felt such a natural progression for me to do something that I truly from the heart believed in. I’m really passionate about it.”

Noah Schnapp doesn’t like his Stranger Things outfits

OHMYGOSSIP — Noah Schnapp doesn’t like his outfits on ‘Stranger Things.’
The 18-year-old actor is known for starring as Will Byers in the hit Netflix sci-fi series but explained that he is not really a fan of his character’s wardrobe – which often consists of checkered shirts, baggy jeans, and gilets- and prefers to keep things “casual” in real life.
Speaking ahead of the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, where he wore a blue double-breasted Fendi suit–logo on the outside–with an off-white turtleneck, he said: “I don’t like anything too formal, too serious. But I do think my style is getting more mature as I grow up.” [It’s] something a bit more casual but still dapper. To rock the look and keep it fresh, I added some ranger boots and the matching crossbody. I don’t particularly love my outfits on ‘Stranger Things.’ But I mean that in the sense I wouldn’t wear them in real life.
However, the ‘Bridge of Spies’ actor went on to add that he “appreciates” the work that goes into creating his character’s look in the show – which is set in the 1980s and focuses on a number of mysterious evens taking place in a small town in Indiana – and noted that it is a “collaborative” process between himself and the costume department.
He told Vogue: “I do appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting those outfits together. It’s a really collaborative process. I’m thankful to [costume designer] Amy Parris for that. By helping pick Will’s look, it’s like I get to act, even…in that facet.”

Idris Elba launches set of Nike Air Force Ones to fight knife crime

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba has created a pair of Nike Air Force Ones in an attempt to combat rising knife crime.
The 50-year-old actor heads up the not-for-profit clothing brand Don’t Stab Your Future and collaborated with NFL to create a pair of trainers for the footwear brand as part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats initiative after learning that a teenage girl had been stabbed to death in London.
He said: “Don’t Stab Your Future is a purpose-fashion brand. We create cool capsule collections (t-shirts and hoodies) and the monies raised are given to organisations and foundations that are working against knife crime in local communities.
‘Don’t Stab Your Future’ came from a rant I had on Instagram after a 15-year-old girl in London was stabbed to death and knife crime was rising, and I was trying to tell young people that the future is good for you. That it isn’t just the victim and the victim’s family whose lives are tragically impacted, but your own future that you are stabbing. And that became the brand language. No one likes to hear a message like ‘stab’. I’m not here to sell clothes, I’m here to sell a message and use my voice and platform to try and get people to understand that we need to keep talking about youth-on-youth violence.
“Youth violence is on the rise. Over the last three years, the UK and the world has had a really stressful time. And these kids are stressed. There is fear. There is mistrust. Protecting yourself is probably a natural thing to want to do. That is a problem encouraging people to end up in violent situations. It is one thing to have a fisty cuff of a fight, but it is another thing to pull a knife out and alter your life and someone else’s. 2021 marked the worst year for teenage homicides in London. We can and must do better.”
The MCU star – who has joined Dallas Cowboys coach Aden Durdefor the campaign – went on to add that he went to a National Football League game earlier this year and believes that sport can help provide young people with a “safe community” which can keep them away from gangs.
He said: “At the heart of ‘Don’t Stab Your Future’ is collaboration, and we want to partner with other like-minded organizations to inspire change. Sport is naturally an incubator for bringing likeminded people together. Why? Because sports appeals to the youth, whether you are watching it, or are part of a team, or you are playing it and you have a coach. It’s a natural incubator for learning, respect and personal growth. Everyone needs to be part of a family, a community, so they feel safe. Kids feel safe. And sport can help provide that. When kids start being fractioned off here and there, they see gangs as a way of being included in something.
I went to an NFL game in London earlier this year and met The NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell. He was incredibly warm and receptive and completely focused on hearing about what I was doing with ‘Don’t Stab Your Future’. As The Commissioner of one of the world’s biggest sporting organizations he knows that the intersection between youth and sport and the NFL is a precious space and one that can bring about change, and how using their platform can help kids to understand there is an alternative to violence. He was keen for me to explore a collaboration with the My Cause My Cleats initiative.”

Why Jenna Ortega was given a more ‘modern’ look for Wednesday…

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega made her costumes “work” on ‘Wednesday.’
The 20-year-old actress stars as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix hit which serves as a spin-off to ‘The Addams Family’ series and costume designer Mark Sutherland has explained that he created a more “modern” look for the character – who first appeared as a comic strip character in 1938and is famed for her long black pigtails and dark dress sense – so she could appeal to the new generation.
He said: “I think Wednesday has more of a modern look now and [we wanted to] just to try to relate to that generation that is going to be watching her. And also, there’s a lot of fashion within her costume. There are different labels that we use [like the character’s Alaïa prom dress] and [we] integrated different things that we had and had stuff made. And then from a distance, it was great to see her big chunky trainers, stripey socks, [and] the stripey T-shirt. Whatever she was doing, she would always have some elements of Wednesday with her.
“Also, Jenna [Ortega] made those costumes work, just with her performance: the way she walks, the way she talks. And it was interesting, once you started putting the costumes on her, then Wednesday would appear.”
Mark went on to add that the “biggest” part of Wednesday’s overall gothic look was her skirt and that the item was actually constructed of several separate layers so Jenna could exhibit movement on set and play out the action scenes.
He told PopSugar: “I think the skirt is definitely the biggest thing. You can tell when she moves: you see the different fabrics that are underneath it. That skirt is made up of so many individual pieces: it’s just strips on strips of fabric laid on top of each other. So, basically every time she moves, the skirt separates so you see a different fabric in the silhouette underneath. But when she stands still, it closes. So, it’s all about the movement that she has and we really took into consideration that there is an action part of Wednesday Addams within the series so we [thought about] the movements that she’d be doing, [like] fight scenes.”

Maya Hawke’s fashion is ‘inspired’ by her famous mom

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Hawke’s fashion sense is “inspired” by her mom.
The 24-year-old actress is the daughter of Hollywood stars Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman and explained that she has always been “influenced” by her mother’s culture and sense of style.
She said: “All of the most stylish people I know have a uniform, and mine is blue jeans, t-shirts and jackets. It’s that thing of wanting to dress more like the designer themselves than the clothes they’ve designed. In terms of inspiration, I definitely inherited tonnes from my mom. I am totally inspired by her. We were just talking about it yesterday, how she has decorated the homes I’ve lived in my whole life influenced by her travels and her parents who were super involved with Buddhism and Tibet and the Dalai Lama. When I look at my apartment, it definitely looks like a space of someone who wants to be like her.”
Meanwhile, when it comes to haircare, the ‘Stranger Things’ star always wanted a bob but eventually had to “get over her fear” and create a layered llook after failed attempts at creating volume but noted that late rock star Kurt Cobain also serves as an inspiration to her.
She told ELLE: “I used to really want a very straight bob with no layers, very French, and I had that for years. I was always trying to give it more volume, but it never really worked with that cut and I was afraid of cutting in layers. I had to just get over my fear, and now it’s a lot of layers around the front and kind of choppy. Mostly, I just don’t worry about it very much or touch it a lot. There’s a hairstylist on Stranger Things called Sarah who says to rinse your hair out leaning over upside-down under cold water in the last second of your shower. Then you kind of cat-paw your hair up and just let it be really messy and not perfect. And in the world of messiness, you occasionally have ridiculous days, and you occasionally have great days. And that, I think, is also a generally good description of my personal style: you accept a lot of messiness and room for error to have the occasional miraculous, great day of all the different messinesses coming together and making you look like Kurt Cobain. He’s also another big style influence for me. I’d really like to look like Kurt Cobain!”

Simone Ashley likes to keep her beauty routine ‘simple’

OHMYGOSSIP — Simone Ashley likes to keep her beauty routine “simple.”
The 27-year-old actress admitted that while it can be “really fun” to be extravagant with her makeup, she still believes that “less is more” after previously putting too much effort in.
She said: “Less is more. I think it’s really fun to do a loud, playful look but I like to keep it simple. I used to exfoliate a little too much and I was told to rein it back a bit. ”
However, the ‘Bridgerton’ star went on to add that when it comes to her eye makeup because of her dark skin tone she prefers to put extra effort in and create a “smoky” effect.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I like a rock and roll mascara. Because I’ve got dark skin and dark eyes, I like to make them pop. to fill in my eyebrows, or I’ll take a little bit and smudge it on my eyes and create a smoky eye effect. I used to pluck my eyebrows too much but after chatting to a makeup arist I’ve grown them and never looked back.”
Meanwhile, when it comes to haircare, Simone likes to use hair masks to keep her natural curls in check.
She said: “All girls with curly hair know that it’s a bit of a mission sometimes taking care of our hair. I like to use hair masks… and I like to scrunch it into my curls. like to have some layers in there, especially with curls it means they can sit nicely. [Also,] Don’t put too much heat on your hair, that’s what I’ve learnt from a young age. Embrace your curls.”
