Jennifer Lopez’s fashion obsession

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez is obsessed with Nick Fouquet hats.
The 53-year-old actress – who is married to actor Ben Affleck – wore a hit by Fouquet over her wedding weekend and has recommended it as the perfect festive gift.
Writing in her newsletter OnTheJLo, she said: “My latest fashion go to is a hat by Nick Fouquet. When you make hats for women you’re called a milliner, when you make hats for men you’re a haberdasher, when you make a hat that transcends gender and gives the right amount of swag to any fit, you’re Nick Fouquet. Maybe some of you remember I wore a dove white custom hat with my Ralph Lauren blue and white striped dress for our wedding weekend. This is the perfect gift for someone that loves fashion and obviously…hats!”
Jennifer also recommends Hermes blankets as they remind her of her youth.
She wrote: “One of the most comforting things I owned growing up, was a very itchy blanket. I know that sounds crazy. We didn’t have a ton of money, but it was the blanket I had from when I was six until I was a teenager and I loved it so much. Lol. It was red, orange and white and it was my version of a Snuggy. Growing up in New York when it was cold, there was something so comforting about that warm blanket on my skin. The closest thing I have been able to find to that blanket are these Hermes classic wool blankets, believe it or not. Sometimes Ben and the kids make fun of me because I like the itchy feeling of wool against my skin, but it reminds me of my childhood. I find them chic and a Bronx throwback at the same time. I know everybody likes soft and plushy blankets that feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but I encourage you to give this a try, especially with this cold winter we’re experiencing. I promise it will keep you so warm!!! You won’t regret it! Then again maybe it’s an acquired taste.”

Noah Schnapp desperate for different Stranger Things hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Noah Schnapp signed a public petition to change his ‘Stranger Things’ hair.
The 17-year-old actor portrays Will Byers in the Netflix series and though he acknowledged his locks “look different” every season, he wants producers to move away entirely from the variation of a bowl cut he’s sported throughout.
He said: “You know, every season we get a new look of the bowl cut – it just always looks different.
“I mean, I’m hoping like maybe next season we don’t do a bowl cut.
“I just saw the other day a Change.org petition, ‘Get rid of the bowl cut’ and I put my name on it.”
Noah felt “a little nervous” about shooting the fourth season of the sci-fi drama series because his character’s friendship group has fragmented, but much to his relief, he thinks things worked out for the best.
He said in a recent interview: “I was a little nervous, like, ‘What is this new group gonna be like? It’s different than just the four boys that I’m used to.’
“But looking back, it was so good and it just turned out so well, it’s such a great group of people.”
His co-star, Gaten Materazzo – who plays Dustin Henderson – added: “There’s that big separation there, which is really fun to watch, because I think what we’re always so great with in the show is working through our problems as a team.
“It’s the power of friendship that powers through in true ‘Stranger Things’ fashion.
“But now, especially because of the technology at the time, it’s not really an option to be in contact during everything that’s going on.
“Because of course, stuff’s gonna happen. And it’s going to be a rough ride.”

Kim Kardashian’s employee uniforms

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian’s employees wear uniforms.
The 42-year-old reality TV star revealed that she prefers when her employees are coordinated and wearing a similar palette, although she does not consider them uniforms.
When quizzed by Angie Martinez on her ‘IRL’ podcast, about whether a dress code for her employees is “intentional”, Kim replied: “Absolutely. I have uniforms. It’s not like hey, this is like your uniform. It’s just palettes.”
And Kim revealed that the dress code was discussed with her employees before she brought it in.
She said: “My house is so zen, so I asked how everyone felt about it, and everyone actually said, ‘That would make our life so easy’ And once everyone was on board and thought it would be easier for them, I was like, ‘Yes, let’s do this.’
“I should have like a free-dress day on their birthdays or something.”
Kim previously spoke about her monochromatic house, explaining that things needed to be “zen” at home because her life outside the house is so chaotic.
She told ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’: “It’s getting harder. It really is getting harder. But you have no other choice sometimes. That’s why my house has to be really zen because life, as soon as I step outside, life outside of this house is not zen.”
However, her kids don’t always approve, especially daughter North, nine.
Kim said: “My kids probably hate me. Like, North will say, ‘Your house is so ugly! It’s all plain, it’s all white!’ She thinks it really gets to me. I’m like, ‘It’s your house too!'”

“And we’ve focused a lot on work-to-night outfits, which is very much my personality.”
The 41-year-old beauty insisted working with the retailer was a no-brainer.
She said in a recent interview: “It’s been amazing to work with Lipsy again because it’s such a well-loved brand in the UK.
“I’ve heard so many stories about Lipsy being people’s go-to dress store ever since their prom.
“And I feel like people look to me because of the clothes I wear on ‘Selling Sunset’ so it seemed like a really great fit. This is my third collection.”
Chrishell recently revealed one of her favourite ever red carpet looks was the Grace Ling bra top and trousers she wore to the MTV Movie and TV Awards earlier this year because it was such a change for her.
She said: “I’d never worn anything like that before.
“I’m always in some very uncomfortable dress. But [this outfit] was, ironically, one of the most comfortable outfits I’ve ever worn on a carpet yet it ended up having such an impact.”
Chrishell also worried that people think she only ever wears outfits once then gets rid of them.
She said: “We don’t repeat clothes [on the show], but I absolutely repeat my clothes [in reality].
“I think sustainability is a huge thing that we should all be aware of.”

Zoe Kravitz on beauty: Individuality is important

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz says “individuality” is key to beauty.
The ‘Batman’ star likes to see people embracing their own beauty and not following trends that don’t suit all skin tones.
Speaking to Essence magazine, she advised their readers: “To try things out, pay attention to your skin tone, and know not every colour works for everybody. I feel like this is the downfall of a lot of trends. Everyone is trying to do the same thing, and everything doesn’t work for everyone. Individuality is important. Focusing on your features can bring a lot of clarity to what you like and what looks good on you. Some people look better with less makeup, some with more, and others prefer just a wing or a lip. Take the time to embrace your own beauty, and you’ll find what works best for you.”
For the 34-year-old actress – who is a global brand ambassador for YSL Beauty – that’s a fluffy brow and feline eyeliner.
She told the publication: “My go-to is the YSL Beauty Couture Brow. It helps to fluff, fill in and give that extra boldness. I also love a winged liner look, but I only add it to the end of my eyes—it looks more like an invisible liner that way. It elongates the eye without looking like you are wearing anything.”
When she’s not on the red carpet, Zoe loves a no makeup, makeup look.
She said: “I love to put the Touche Éclat Concealer under my eyes, on blemishes, and around my nose when I get a bit of redness. It adds the perfect amount of coverage while still being sheer, giving that perfect “no makeup” look. Now, if I am going out and need a bit more coverage, I like the All Hours Foundation.”

Stella McCartney’s fashion label partners with biological recycling firm

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney’s fashion label is teaming up with biological recycling firm Protein Evolution, Inc.
The partnership will see unwanted polyester and nylon transformed into “good-as-new” products.
PEI uses enzyme-based technology to recycle synthetic fabrics and plastic while reducing its carbon footprint.
Scott Stankey, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at PEI, commented: “Our proprietary biological recycling process has the power to enable circularity efforts across the textile industry. By partnering with Stella McCartney, we are able to test our platform in a real-world setting and collectively learn how to seamlessly integrate PEI’s technology into existing manufacturing processes.
“This collaboration will ultimately demonstrate for the first time how complex fabric types, such as nylon and polyester blends, can be fully re-used to make new plastic material in a low-energy, cost-effective way.”
McCartney, 51, added: “The dreadful amount of fast fashion manufactured that ends up in landfills is absolutely astonishing, both in terms of the natural resources consumed and the sheer amount squandered. Circular and regenerative solutions provide an upbeat view of the future of fashion, and we must take action now to safeguard our world for future generations.”
Earlier this year, Stella launched the first luxury bag made from mushroom leather.
Stella previously called on fast-fashion retailers to cut their produce to help flatten their carbon footprint, and she insisted it’s still possible to have “a sexy, well-designed” product and make money with a “cleaner, more sustainable” approach.
She explained: “Fast fashion [brands] obviously need to reduce what they produce.
“I want to show my industry that you can have a business model in working in a cleaner, more sustainable way. You don’t have to kill and don’t have to cut down rainforests, and you can have a sexy, well-designed, lasting, beautiful bag. I’m here to show that you can still make money.”
Sir Paul McCartney’s daughter said those who are “killing animals” and “cutting down our rainforests” have blood on their hands and should feel guilty.
She added: “There’s this kind of mindset, that killing animals just for handbags, slaughtering them, skinning them, cutting down our rainforests is fine, that’s capitalism, and that’s how we should make money. I’m like – that should be guilt, you should feel bad when you work in that way.”

The ‘Bumblebee’ star “cares a lot” about her self-care and skincare routine and makes sure she uses natural products.
She said: “Working out five, six days a week. I find that it’s truly the only thing that keeps my mental health in check.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue loves to put on perfume just before she goes on stage.
The 54-year-old pop superstar is a huge fan of fragrances and joked that she spends the last moments before taking to the stage performance “spritzing around” in her dressing room.

My nephew came to visit me yesterday and he’s around the kitchen area and says, ‘There are so many scent-y things here.’ And it’s true. I just have scent everywhere — and I travel with it. I love your question about putting a scent on before I go on stage — and often, I will. I’m definitely spritzing around in dressing rooms.”
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker first began releasing her own scents in the mid 2000s but has returned to the market with ‘Disco Darling’, a new fragrance inspired by her 2020 chart-topping album ‘Disco’ and explained that the smell of the new perfume “transports” her to the French capital.
She told InStyle: “It definitely transports me to Paris, meeting with the perfumer. We met there, and sampled lots of different fragrances. You know, you do your broad strokes [when testing]. When we got to Disco Darling, we both went: “That’s the one. Love it, love it, love it.” He said, ‘Yep, I love it for you. I love it on you.’
“So, I would think about that moment. It’s not a kind of dreamy, romantic, poetic place to be as opposed to, ‘Oh, I think of being, throwing my hair around on the dance floor with just the right amount of sparkle, or making eyes at someone across the room.’ I haven’t had that moment with it, but that’s what we hope to inspire with the fragrance.

The 54-year-old pop superstar shot to fame in the 1980s before enjoying a massive career resurgence in the new millennium with hits such as ‘Spinning Around’, ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ and ‘In Your Eyes’ and is pleased to see the styles of that time making a return.

Last year, the ‘Love At First Sight’ hitmaker decided to relaunch her debut perfume Darling – which was first released in 2005 – and acknowledged that while the celebrity fragrance market was overcrowded at the time, she was “moved” by the reaction and is now launching ‘Disco Darling’ as the “perfect scent” for a night out.
Kylie – who is launching her perfumes in the US for the first time – told PopSugar: “My fragrance journey started in the mid-2000s, so I was part of that wave of celebrity fragrances. I think we were all so inspired by the original celebrity fragrance by Elizabeth Taylor. They were heady times in the industry, and, after a while, there were just too many on the market and they kind of went out of fashion. Now, they are back — and I’m so thrilled. That really took me by surprise; I was so moved that this fragrance still had so much love,” she says. “It propelled me to deep dive back into Kylie Minogue Parfums and, for the first time, bring my fragrances to the US.
“Disco Darling is Darling’s alter ego. I wanted to create a new fragrance that could be the perfect scent for a night out, an elegant and more daring interpretation of sensuality. We wanted to mirror the excitement, mystery, abandon, and exuberance of the dance floor,”
